| Let me make one thing clear. | |
| There was nothing that I or anyone saw that would lead us to believe that this army could collapse in 11 days. | |
| That's our general, General Miley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. | |
| He had no idea that this could possibly happen. | |
| This scenario could play out over weeks or months. | |
| We thought maybe we'd lose, but nothing we could have seen could have predicted this. | |
| Watch this statement, guys. | |
| Just watch it and think with what we know now, If you think that this person is competent to be the leader of our armed forces, if this person could possibly be any weaker, that they couldn't foresee this happening after spending 20 years in Afghanistan should tell us all we need to know about our woke military. | |
| Watch. Let me make one comment on the intelligence because I'm seeing all over the news that there are warnings of a rapid collapse. | |
| I have previously said from this podium and in sworn testimony before Congress that the intelligence clearly indicated multiple scenarios were possible. | |
| One of those was an outright Taliban takeover following a rapid collapse of the Afghan security forces and the government. | |
| Another was a civil war, and a third was a negotiated settlement. | |
| However, the time frame of a rapid collapse that was widely estimated and ranged from weeks to months and even years following our departure. | |
| There was nothing that I or anyone else saw that indicated a collapse of this army and this government in 11 days. | |
| Okay, so he had 20 years to prep for this withdrawal. | |
| 20 years! And there was nothing? | |
| Nothing that they could have seen. | |
| I mean, you guys probably saw maybe the jumping jack video that I posted on Instagram of Afghan troops after we spent 88 billion training them and they couldn't do a jumping jack. | |
| There was nothing that showed Our generals and our other military leaders that this could happen this rapidly? | |
| If they didn't see anything, they don't belong in positions of power. | |
| They should not be making decisions for our military, for our country. | |
| They should not be sending our soldiers into harm's way if they can't figure it out. | |
| It's their job. | |
| To figure this stuff out. | |
| It's their job to have an understanding of exactly what happens. | |
| But when you're so busy learning about white rage and trying to teach critical race theory and all of this PC crap. | |
| You lose focus. You get your eyes off the prize. | |
| And that's exactly what happened here. | |
| And it should be disgraceful that we allowed it. | |
| And even worse, that they're admitting it on a world stage because our enemies are watching and they realize our capabilities are nothing like what they thought they were. | |
| We're severely weakened. | |
| We're in no state to defend our other allies. | |
| And we've gone as far as to essentially show our allies that America is not ready. | |
| They won't be there to defend them. | |
| And that's a disgrace. | |
| These guys shouldn't be in power. | |
| They should resign in absolute disgrace. | |
| On a side note, it'll give them a lot of time to learn about white rage and critical race theory. | |
| They can study it for the rest of their retirement. |
