Get woke, go broke.
Delta Airlines is learning the hard way not to bite the hand that feeds, so to speak.
Delta Airlines came out this week with this sort of vicious statement about the new voting laws in Georgia.
The CEO started attacking it, you know, being all woke.
So Georgia Republicans voted to cancel This big tax break plan that they were working on for Delta, because Delta's criticizing their bill.
But what's even more ironic is that Delta literally praised the bill.
Tom Cotton points out in a tweet, Delta made a statement saying, Delta believes that full and equal access to voting is fundamental right now.
of all citizens.
Over the past several weeks, Delta engaged extensively with state elected officials in both parties to express our strong view that Georgia must have free and fair and secure election process with broad voter participation and equal access to the polls.
The legislation signed this week improved considerably during the legislative process and expands weekend voting, codifies Sunday voting, and protects voters' ability to cast an absentee ballot without providing a reason.
For the first time, drop boxes have also been authorized for all counties statewide and poll workers will be allowed to work across county lines.
Nonetheless, we understand concerns remain over other provisions in the legislation and there continues to be work ahead in this important effort.
We are committed to continuing to listen to our people and our communities.
And engage with leaders from both parties to ensure every eligible employee and Georgia voter can exercise their right to vote.
So that's from Delta CEO Ed Bassetan on Friday.
Then they come out today getting really woke, attacking it.
So Georgia Republicans finally do the right thing and say, enough of this nonsense, right?
There seems to be a big cottage industry of going really woke, Even though it doesn't benefit.
Why? Because Georgia wanted to have some stuff as it relates to IDs to make sure we know who's actually voting.
Oh, it's terrible.
Another one, Apple's Tim Cook came out strongly blasting the law, blasting this voter.
Apple's CEO, Tim Cook, yet strangely enough, Apple's CEO has also been eerily silent on The genocide that is being committed in China against the Uyghur population.
He's been really silent about enduring the Hong Kong uprisings.
Strangely enough, when China, an actual dictatorial and oppressive regime, does something to suppress the will of the people, Apple's Tim Cook is silent like nothing.
He's got nothing to say.
But when we want to make sure that we have free and fair elections, That's when he's got a problem with it.
He wants to make sure that anyone can vote.
It doesn't matter if they're legal.
It doesn't matter if they live in the state.
Let's just make sure. Let's not have any checks.
That's what it seems that these people are saying.
And I'm glad it seems to be biting Delta in the ass.
It's a good airline. I've flown on it a bunch.
A lot of support from all of the flight crews when I fly, which is very often.
It's probably one of the strongest demographics in terms of support.
