Time Text
Guys, whatever happened to follow the science?
Follow the science!
That's what we're going to do.
It seems that the Biden administration only follows the science when it actually suits them.
One of the things I want to talk about that I've been reading a lot about lately is sort of the stuff as it relates to the teachers' union.
You've seen what they've done over the last couple of months, the way they've basically held up progress, prevented schools from opening.
The teachers' union and those representing them have definitely failed our children in terms of education and everything else.
I mean, the teachers' union has certainly failed the science they're supposed to be teaching us because, again, It's all political.
You've seen it from Joe Biden.
No, no, no, we're going to reopen schools.
We're going to, they're going to be, wait, I only meant maybe one day a week, maybe at best.
You saw the teachers union saying, hey, we'll only return after vaccinations.
Okay, here are the vaccines. We can't return.
We can't return now.
Guys, what's going on?
It's as though they'll do whatever they can to avoid going back.
We saw this back in the day when they said, you know, and held up similar sort of progress to get our kids back to schools.
You know, they don't want to be in person.
This is early on in the outbreak.
They don't want to be in person. And assuming you understand that and say, okay, fine.
You don't want to be in person. I get it. Initially.
Now we have a vaccine. That shouldn't be a problem, but you don't want to be in person.
Then they said, Well, guys, we also don't want to do online learning.
It's not really convenient for us.
It's wonderful. Okay.
Do you want to get paid?
Of course we want to get paid.
That's ridiculous. We're teachers' unions.
We're teachers. We're not teaching, but we want to get paid.
They can't have it both ways, and this lobby has gotten so powerful.
Have you ever noticed that in any article that you see about what they're asking for, It actually has nothing to do with educating your kids.
It has nothing to do with benefiting the next generation.
It's just piling on entitlement after entitlement after entitlement, racking up millions, spending millions to prevent real progress that could be good for your kids' educations.
It never ends. I was literally just scrolling through social, seeing some of the demands just now.
And I had to do this sort of impromptu from the man cave.
Because it's getting ridiculous.
These guys at the teachers' union have so much power over Washington.
That's not to say there's not good teachers out there that want to do well, but the unions representing the vast majority of these people don't have the students' interests at heart.
I believe one of the former teachers' unions heads, I saw a quote somewhere in there, I'll start doing what's right for students when they start paying union dues.
That's the mentality. It's clear that that is what they've been pushing all along.
We've got to crack down on this nonsense if we ever want our kids' educational system to actually function decently.
It's not like we're dominating.
It's not like we do well relative to the rest of the world.
I think we're 28 or 29 out of all of the countries.
I mean, think about that. But we also spend more per capita, more per student than any country in the world by far.
And by any standard, we're a total failure.
There's probably third world countries that are doing significantly better than us in education.
