There's a lot of things that I've said over the years, which were perceived to be crazy.
and then suddenly they start to move mainstream.
I'm waiting for someone to convince me that we don't live in a simulation.
What is real?
How do you define real?
If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.
What if all you ever knew was a lie?
Hello and welcome to the Iconic.Connect, the new show.
Well, last week I talked about the lies, the fixed data, and the technological potential now to manipulate the weather, all of which is being blamed on human-caused climate change that's not actually happening.
And this week I want to look at the consequences, the environmental consequences, ironically, of green energy and green technology.
I was a spokesman for a relatively short time for the British Green Party in the 1980s.
And I joined the party and promoted it because I, like environmentalists of those days, cared about the environment, cared about the pollution, the industrial waste, protecting natural beauty.
Protecting wildlife.
All these things that come under the heading, or used to, of environmentalism.
But all that has been sacrificed, just look around, on the satanic altar of human-caused climate change.
That lie has completely taken over what used to be the environmental movement and is now the green movement which is simply a foot soldier operation for the global cult agenda of global dystopia using human-caused climate change as the excuse.
And Basically what's happened is the environmentalist mind has been seized and turned into a religion, a climate cult religion, which is leading the world down the road to a digital concentration camp in which freedom is no more.
So here's a story from the Institute for Energy Research, headed Green Technologies Cause Massive Waste and Pollution.
Electric vehicle batteries, solar panels and wind turbines, ooh green, Result in a massive amount of waste and pollution, the article says.
China is responsible for half of the total electric vehicles in the world, a number that is growing rapidly.
And about half of its retired batteries are not disposed in an environmentally sound way.
Ditto the rest of the world.
It's causing significant waste and pollution problems, and batteries can be recycled, the article says, but the cost is high, as it is with solar panels, which contain hazardous materials.
Most solar panels end up in landfills, as do wind turbines, whose large blades are a major factor in their disposal.
The United States does not have a policy for recycling these green technologies.
Which means that the US landfills can expect to see a massive increase in disposed materials for them as President Biden seeks to implement his net zero carbon plan for all US energy by 2050.
This is a A sobering thought when you see all these turbines going up, all these solar panels, all these batteries in more and more electric cars.
Wind turbines have a life of about 10 to 20 years, solar panels 25 years, and electric vehicle batteries around 12 to 15 years.
And all those aspects, all that trash, that comes from green energy technology then has to somehow be disposed of.
How long will your solar panels last?
Millions will soon face the cost of replacing their eco-roof tiles and most will be scrapped because there's only one place to recycle them in the UK.
There's around 25 million Solar panels in the UK and 2.5 billion globally.
The first generation of solar panels are expected to die off in the coming years.
Experts have warned that many could end up in landfill rather than recycled because of a drastic lack of infrastructure.
The first generation of solar panels is forecast to die within the next five to 10 years.
And according to Professor Chris Sansom at the University of Derby, by 2050 we could have 300 million tonnes of scrap panels globally.
For comparison, the world currently produces a similar amount of plastic waste each year.
This, ladies and gentlemen, Is what we're told is green, environmentally friendly technology.
In 2018, a senior Chinese solar official and research scientist with the German Stuttgart Institute of Photovoltaics warned that solar panel disposal will, quote, explode with full force in two or three decades and wreck the environment.
He also warned that there will be a huge amount of waste as they are not easy to recycle adding the reality is there is a problem now and it's only going to get larger expanding as rapidly as the PV industry expanded 10 years ago.
This is what I mean by the mind of the environmentalist, or the green, not really environmentalist, being taken over so that all this is completely kind of ignored because of this unbelievable focus Only on human-caused climate change and believing whatever the system tells them to believe.
And the truth is that so-called green energy is an environmental and human catastrophe.
We'll start with the batteries used in electric vehicles and other modern tech, which involves environmentally devastating practices to produce materials such as lithium, cobalt and nickel.
Lithium comes from two major sources, brine and hard rock deposits.
To extract it, miners drill holes in the salt flats and pump the salty, mineral-rich brine to the surface, leaving it to evaporate in huge artificial lakes or ponds.
These ponds are also called salterns, or salt pans, or salars.
Here the lithium-rich brine water is left to evaporate in the sun.
The remaining solution is further processed in several stages until the lithium is suitable for use.
This process uses a lot of water, over 500,000 gallons which is close to 2 million liters of water for each ton of lithium produced.
Such massive use of water not only affects the surrounding ecosystem but also has a huge impact on local farmers.
Not only that, but these large evaporation pools are often far from sealed.
This can, and has, led to the leaching of toxic substances into the surrounding water supply.
But EV batteries are not just all about lithium.
There are some other key components that are just as potentially harmful to the environment as lithium.
Cobalt and Nickel.
Though cobalt is relatively easy to extract, cobalt mining produces large amounts of airborne particles, which often contain toxic contaminants such as uranium.
These substances are associated with serious health problems, including respiratory diseases and birth defects.
It's also often contained sulfur-containing materials that can generate sulfuric acid when exposed to air and water.
When this acid drains from the mines, it can devastate rivers, streams, and other aquatic and terrestrial environments for a very long time.
Then there's the human cost.
Shocking human cost.
Not least for children mining for cobalt for batteries used in electric vehicles and elsewhere.
It's absolutely tragic what's going on.
Cobalt has become known as the blood diamond of batteries.
These are some clips from a Channel 4 documentary on life in the Congo for the children and families who live and work at or near the cobalt mines.
They work long hours with barely room to move.
They earn about three pounds a day, more than most in the DRC, but it's still very low.
The land is not safe for the people. They are not allowed to live there.
Artisanal mines like this are built in the shadows of vast industrial mines.
The huge pits provide the bulk of the world's cobalt.
Every industrial cobalt mine is majority owned or operated by foreign countries.
Usually it's the Chinese.
While the DRC itself owns only a minority stake in most mines, scientists and doctors are increasingly concerned about its impact on public health.
Because pregnant women in this region have concentrations of heavy metals in their blood that are among the highest ever reported.
In the heart of Kolwesi, Dr Billy Mukong has dedicated the last seven years to helping
children with birth defects.
The scientists have been in town for four days.
They are along the same river as the farmers.
They have come to test it because it has a history of mining pollution.
This is very important for the local people because this river flows miles and miles and joins the Congo River, which is a source for millions of Congolese people.
They want to know if the water contains toxic metals and if there is any surviving biodiversity.
Their first impressions are much worse than they had anticipated.
This is acid.
Acid?
Yeah.
We have different pathways of exposure to pollutants.
And this is one of this kind of exposure.
So as scientists, I can't conclude that can be linked to birth defects.
But the sample we are collecting is going to show us.
While Dr. Tony is telling me this, the professor is with a local activist who simply says the river is now dead.
No fish here.
No fish here?
No fish. There is nothing here.
Why?
Because the river has been polluted.
What makes it even more ridiculous and insane is that green technology often produces more carbon dioxide,
CO2, than conventional technologies that they are replacing by
law.
Now, CO2 is the gas of life.
Without it, we'd all be dead.
But if you go with their claims that the gas of life is somehow a pollutant, Then, even by their ridiculous narrative, to produce technology called green, that produces more CO2 than that which it's replacing, is complete madness.
And there's not enough resources to make all the batteries for all the electric vehicles.
And they know that because it's all a scam.
Not to replace petrol and diesel vehicles with electric, but to make sure you don't have a car to drive at all by banning one and not being able to produce the other.
In the numbers required.
So here's Mark Mills.
He's a physicist and senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute exposing the lie about net zero.
We want to go all-electric by 2035.
Is it practical to do it now?
Well, we can make this whole discussion easy with the two-letter word, no.
There's no such thing, of course, as a zero-emissions vehicle.
The real question is, where are the emissions associated with the electric car?
Because what you do with an electric vehicle is you don't eliminate emissions, you export them somewhere else.
You have to dig up about 500,000 pounds of materials to make a single 1,000 pound battery.
It takes 100 to 300 barrels of oil to manufacture a battery that can hold one barrel of oil equivalent of energy.
Just manufacturing the battery can have a carbon debt ranging from 10 tons to 40 tons of CO2.
And then, there's the danger of electric vehicles.
increase the use of batteries will require an increase in production of minerals like
lithium, cobalt, zinc. Demand for those minerals will increase between 400% and 4000%. Is there
enough mining in the world to make enough batteries for that many people for their car?
And then there's the danger of electric vehicles. As we've seen on ships and in the street,
buses just spontaneously bursting into flames.
Bye.
With fires that not only burn fiercely, but firefighters struggle to put them out, and often when they have, they just reignite spontaneously.
Imagine that!
With those vehicles and batteries, where it's coming from, all over the world, in the numbers they're talking about.
Dad dies in devastating house fire started by e-bike battery catching a light.
A community has been rocked after a dad died in a devastating house fire said to have been started when the lithium battery pack charging an e-bike failed and caught a light.
Now this is now becoming a regular occurrence.
The man, who's not yet been named, lost his life weeks after a flat fire that killed a woman and two children, which was also believed to have started when the vehicle was charging overnight.
The fire took two and a half hours to breathe under control.
The London Fire Brigade said the horrendous blaze looked like a rocket hit the house and blew up.
10 fire engines and around 70 firefighters attempted to rescue the man and extinguish the flames.
So, wherever you look, this green technology is a disaster, environmentally and in terms of threats to life.
Talking of which...
One of the reasons I got involved with the Green Party back in the 1980s was protecting wildlife from having habitat destroyed and other attacks on its very existence.
But that seems to have gone way down the agenda of the Green Movement today.
And so we have Scores of whales, dolphins, killed by Biden's offshore wind turbines.
Well, it's not Biden's, of course.
It's whoever controls them.
Whales, dolphins and other marine life have become collateral damage in Team Biden's war on global warming.
And not just Biden, it's the same around the world, wherever these turbines are.
So far this year, more than 30 dead whales and 30 dead dolphins have washed up On the East Coast of the United States where large wind turbines are being put up at an increased rate as part of the Biden administration's green energy agenda.
The Biden administration wants to put up 30,000 megawatts of offshore wind between now and 2030.
This means putting up 1,500 wind turbines stretching from the Carolinas right up to New England.
And they're putting these offshore wind turbines about 15 to 30 miles off the coast, right in the prime habitat.
In the lanes that a number of species of whales use to go north and south and down the American coast.
In May, after four whales had washed up dead in four days, Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore, who's vehemently opposing the climate change agenda, and left Greenpeace because it was basically lying to the public, He said the drilling foundations for offshore wind turbines and sound pulses used to prepare the 900-foot towers may be creating a death zone for whales.
Do you remember when the Green Movement used to have campaigns to save the whale?
Now its mind has been hijacked.
It's much more bothered about more and more turbines going up having this effect.
And then there's the mass killing of birds.
Remember when the Green Movement cared about them?
Have a look at this.
First of May.
The wing is broken.
The turbine blew it off.
The island was found right under the turbine.
The wing was found 50 meters away.
It's gone.
It's not even dead.
It's not even dead.
It's a little old calf.
It's got a stick in its tail.
It's Friday.
It's not doing anything.
It's not doing anything.
There's a ray of energy.
In every direction, as you scan what the greens want to happen,
You see environmental, human and wildlife devastation.
And the green movement and that which comes from it and fuels it, like science alleged, has just been taken over By pure insanity and the inability to process information into a rational conclusion.
So, scientist, in bloody quotes, wants to catch an asteroid and block out the sun with it.
I'll read that again just to make sure.
Scientists wants to catch an asteroid and block out the sun with it.
The latest demented idea being pushed to stop the world ending from climate Armageddon is to catch an asteroid, put an umbrella on it and use it to block out the sun.
Istvan Sapudi, an astronomer from the University of Hawaii, argued his far-fetched concept was merely an enormous solar shield.
The shield, which would have been made from ultra-strong wonder material, graphene, or maybe they could go to Pfizer, they've got a big stock of it, would block energy from the sun and cool down our planet.
Hold on.
Blocking out the sun to cool down the planet.
Well, that's a bloody first, because how often has the climate change cult gone on and on about CO2 and not mention the fact that heat of this world comes from the sun?
I think, you know, if you go out and the sun comes out, it gets warmer.
It's a cause and effect that.
So, this paper by this bloke has been subject to publication by Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
And so, there's no real explanation, as this article points out, of how you go about catching an asteroid spinning at thousands of miles an hour through space.
And how to then maneuver it into a stable position to attach an umbrella to it.
Minor details can be ironed out later, perhaps, says the article.
But it is just an example of the absolute madness that we're dealing with.
It's shocking to behold But we're told, of course, that smart meters and all this stuff will save us money.
That's turned out to be a lie.
Of course, it was always going to be.
And here's another story.
Can you really save money with solar panels?
The number of homes having systems installed shot up by 40% last year, but experts warn it can take more than a decade to break even on the 20,000 dollar investment and of course they only last a certain
amount of time and you have to buy them again.
And also this week of course and every week you get the lies and the rigging of data and
the rigging of news stories.
What heat wave this one asks.
data show July temperature in US.
was normal.
Lurid headlines about a deadly heatwave in the U.S.
last month pinned the blame on climate change, of course, and claimed that the warmth was just getting started.
Deadly U.S.
southwest heatwave will expand to cover much of America as warnings issued, cried Sky News.
Now, the data is out.
And the alarmist headlines are once again looking ridiculous.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has updated its U.S.
Conduous Average Temperature Anomaly data through July 2023, and the month... The heatwave, oh my God!
Turns out to be unremarkable and continued a long period without a rising trend.
Then someone's done what is apparently an annual roundup of the BBC's climate lies over the last 12 months.
It's a guy called Paul Homewood.
And among those he reports, is a BBC claim that the Norfolk village of Hayesborough where extreme weather linked to climate change has eroded the soft sand cliff rock.
But in fact, there's no mention of the finding of the British Geological Society that it is likely that the Norfolk cliffs there have been eroding at the present rate for about the last 5,000 years.
And then there's the report that the Atlantic hurricane season, again the BBC, was the third most active on record in 2021, when it was nothing of the sort, as Homewood points out, observing that since 1851 there have been 32 years with a higher count of hurricanes.
There was also an evidence-free claim in September 2022 from the BBC, their Verify operation, that hurricanes were getting more powerful.
But the US Weather Service states that in its latest review, there is not strong evidence for an increase since the late 1800s in hurricanes, major hurricanes.
Or the proportion of hurricanes that reach major hurricane intensity.
And on and on it goes.
Complete lies.
And this, what I've talked about today and what I talked about last week, put all that together.
And that is what human-caused climate change is all about.
It's tragic to see the Green Movement, which started out with great intent to protect the environment, it has been completely and utterly hijacked and perceptually mind-controlled by this big, big lie of human-caused climate change.
It's basically in a trance, and if it doesn't break out of it, it's going to lead the human population into a dystopia the like of which we've never seen.
