Hey everyone, I'm Danielle D'Souza Gill.
I will be guest hosting Dinesh's podcast while he's away this week filming his next documentary.
If you're a regular Dinesh D'Souza listener, then you've probably heard me on here before, although it has been a little while.
I am frequently busy being a mom to my daughter Marigold, as well as supporting my husband's campaign for U.S. Congress, so I've been busy with that here in North Texas.
But I always love coming on to guest host, and I have missed you guys.
So the best way you can find out more about me is to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, True Social, all the places.
I am at Danielle D'Souza Gill.
That's where you can find a lot of my content, videos, thoughts, all of those things.
So we have a lot of content to get to today.
Today we're going to be talking about the unprecedented kangaroo court guilty verdict where President Trump was targeted.
Today we are going to speak with Trump's campaign press secretary, Caroline Leavitt, who will give us the latest updates.
My husband, Brandon Gill, is also going to join us, and he is running for U.S. Congress as the Republican nominee endorsed by President Trump in Texas 26.
We have a lot to get to today, so stay with us.
This is the Dinesh D'Souza podcast.
The times are crazy. In a time of confusion, division, and lies, we need a brave voice of reason, understanding, and truth.
This is the Dinesh D'Souza Podcast.
On May 30th, a Manhattan jury finally delivered a verdict on the so-called Trump hush money case, delivering a total of 34 guilty verdicts out of 34 felony charges.
The scene in the courtroom played out like a gunfight in a Western, where the outcome of the duel rests on who blinks first.
It brought to mind images of Doc Holliday when he finally dispatches the psychopathic gunslinger Ringo.
Doc shoots, kills the villain, and saves the day.
At least, that's how it appeared in the first flush of the left's seeming victory over President Trump.
The mainstream media got the soundbites they wanted.
Gleeful, wide-eyed pundits lauded the fairness of the legal system.
CNN began the next morning's broadcast, flipping through all the papers that ran with the story and page-spanning headlines celebrating.
But amidst all of the crowing, another narrative began to emerge.
On Telemundo, for example, it was a totally different story.
In an attempt to get the reaction of the man on the street, reporters were confounded as they kept running into MAGA hat-wearing Latinos who support President Trump.
They appeared to have difficulty finding anyone who supported the verdict.
And just moments after the verdict was made public, Trump's campaign fundraising site broke due to a massive explosion in activity, according to Trump's senior campaign advisors, Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita.
Within 24 hours, the Trump campaign had received $34.8 million, breaking its previous record for small-dollar fundraising.
Within 48 hours of the verdict, according to RNC co-chair Lara Trump, the campaign had raked in $70 million.
Most shockingly for Democrats, was the result of a Daily Mail snap poll done after the convictions were announced.
The poll revealed that the guilty verdicts actually improved President Trump's chances with likely voters, as he gained six points among respondents who said the verdicts caused them to have a more favorable view of the president.
This is not what the Democrats wanted to hear.
So it appears that at this moment, America still has the upstart, freedom-loving spirit that won us our independence from the British monarchy in the first place.
So there is something to celebrate there.
After years of Soros DAs, the GOP already has a lock on the law and order vote.
But now, with Trump's conviction, something remarkable has happened.
The verdict is winning over those who are more skeptical of our current justice system as well, and the support is increasing at breakneck speed.
This includes minorities who have felt the disparate impact of the justice system and are disillusioned with the way it works.
Through his signing of the First Step Act in December of 2018, Trump had already made inroads with voters who seek to change what they see as an overly punitive criminal justice system.
The First Step Act ushered in a system in which the imprisoned can earn time credits for participating in activities and programs that prepare them for life after incarceration, so it gives relief to many whose sentences were unnecessarily harsh.
Now that Trump is a convicted felon, he appeals not only as one who sympathizes with those suffering injustice, but also as one who has experienced injustice himself and the double standard of the legal system.
Americans by and large can see that the legal attacks on Trump are political.
Even leftist apparatchiks like Chris Cuomo have gone on record saying that spinning a business records issue into 34 felonies was not only weak lawfare, but also dangerous politically.
Speaking about the indictments, Cuomo said, I do not believe that the case in New York for the business records and stuff like that is serious.
I think it's weak tea, and there are a lot of people in the legal community who feel the same way, let alone the political implications.
Reactions after the verdict seem to be proving that he was right about the political implications.
They are devastating.
The Trump campaign also seems to be uniting the pro-Israel lobby with Silicon Valley.
Two factions that usually operate on opposite sides of the aisle.
The CEO of the Republican-Jewish coalition, Matt Brooks, defended Trump after the guilty verdict was issued, calling the case, quote, deeply flawed, and stating that, quote, it will likely propel Trump to victory in November.
Tech gurus David Sachs and Chamath Palahapitya have gone out in support of Trump and are planning to hold a Silicon Valley fundraiser for the Trump campaign on June 6th.
Trump's conviction seems to be bringing many disparate factions together, as many agree that Trump is being unfairly prosecuted.
People are uniting behind President Trump because the left has gone too far.
The left's increasingly brazen attempts to use lawfare to destroy Trump's chances at winning in November are backfiring spectacularly.
Trump and other pundits have long been warning that it would.
And yet, the left is still following their plan.
So what's going on here?
Why are they doing this?
It appears to be a combination of collapses.
The collapse of the leftist's plan to destroy Trump by burying him in legal troubles, along with the panic that is accompanying the collapse of their narrative.
The trial in New York was a high-stakes duel.
Last Thursday's verdict was not a show of strength by the leftists, even though many think it was.
That verdict is where they blinked.
In his recent Waco speech, Trump said, I am your warrior.
I am your justice.
It turns out, Trump might just be our Huckleberry as well.
You might have heard Mike Lindell and MyPillow no longer have the support of their box stores or shopping channels the way they used to.
They've been part of this cancel culture.

The guilty verdict against President Trump is an absolute disgrace and perversion of our legal system.
The judge was out to get President Trump, and the trial was never a fair one.
The Democrats know they cannot fairly beat Trump in November at the ballot box, so they have resorted to this.
If the justice system can do this to a former president, they can do it to anyone in America.
This should frighten all of us, even regular citizens.
The left is so democratic and tolerant, they literally think, if we could just jail Trump, get rid of MAGA, end the Electoral College, stack the Supreme Court, ban voter ID, and censor free speech, we could save democracy.
That's literally how they think.
The ability for liberals to have total domination over their voter base cannot be underestimated.
They are living on a different planet and the norms of politics, the norms of decency, are out the window for them.
They're willing to do whatever it takes to get our guys in order to get what they want.
And their side is okay with it.
Maybe not independents, but a large portion of Democrats truly believe that what they are doing is okay.
They are that radical.
So we must ask, what now?
And what's next?
We are in unprecedented territory.
This has never happened in American history.
Now the first thing I ask myself when I hear this news is, if they do this to us, the question is, should we do it to them?
As Dinesh says, if we don't do it to them, the truth is, they will never stop.
Trump said lock her up in 2016, referring to Hillary Clinton and her crimes, and we did not lock her up, even though she committed crimes.
Obama committed crimes.
Joe Biden is committing crimes as we speak, and has committed them with Hunter Biden.
But the Democrats get away with it.
Yet here we are, and Trump is the one who is found guilty of multiple felonies.
What if a Republican state charged Joe Biden with crimes and knew the judge would see him as guilty and picked a jury where they all knew that they'd find him guilty and voila, they do.
President now serves jail time.
He now pays massive legal fees.
It almost sounds crazy to even say this because Republicans would never do this to a sitting president or a former president.
But if we did, or even started to make it seem like we were or we might, the Democrats would immediately give up because they know that their guys are more corrupt than our guys.
If we actually held their people accountable for their crimes, most of them would not be free men anymore.
Hillary Clinton deleted 30,000 emails.
Epstein's clients walk free.
Mallorca's allowed an invasion on our southern border.
Nancy Pelosi is rich from insider trading.
Hunter Biden is a crack addict with hookers.
Joe Biden sold access to Chinese communists.
Governor Cuomo killed 11,000 elderly people in New York and then celebrated himself by writing a book about what a great job he did.
Pfizer and Moderna lied about the safety of the mRNA jabs.
Planned Parenthood sold aborted baby parts.
They're all walking free.
Yet, President Trump is arrested and found guilty.
But Republicans don't have the spine to hold Democrats accountable legally for their crimes.
These people committed crimes.
And yet, here we are, we do nothing.
Now, a lot of people didn't think the Trump verdict would be guilty.
Many people thought there would be one sane juror who would say not guilty.
The evidence was faulty.
The witnesses were horrible.
But also, New York is full of liberals.
The judge is a radical leftist.
The one person who would have been able to acquit Trump or recused themselves from the jury.
Thanks a lot. But it ultimately doesn't matter because these people are not a jury of his peers, which is what a jury is supposed to be.
They never could be.
If you're as famous as President Trump is, everyone knows you and already has an opinion about you before you even walk into the courtroom.
Even the polls tell us this.
So the jurors can't be unbiased.
Everyone knows Trump in every state.
And in New York, we know what that view means.
That's why you shouldn't be able to try someone who is president or a former president because it cannot be a fair trial.
It's gotten to the point where if you want to run for president, you genuinely have to ask yourself if you are willing to go to jail.
The left has now made this person, whoever you are, into a target.
Trump says, they're after you.
I'm just standing in the way.
Well, I want to ask, what happens in a post-Trump world?
What happens to us once President Trump is no longer in the way?
I truly want to know, do you think the left will stop then?
Do you think the left will simply stop persecuting conservatives and say, oh, we took down President Trump and now everyone who's MAGA is okay?
Do you think they'll just let us go back to business as usual, politics as usual, let us win elections based on common sense?
No! That's ludicrous!
The left is past the point of reasoning with us.
The left has demonized President Trump and has demonized Trump supporters, and this will go on far past this time period.
The left sees not only President Trump as a felon and as evil, but they also see us that way.
To the left, we shouldn't be free in our own country.
Freedom is on the ballot this November.
Do you want to live in a country where this happens to the most popular candidate running for president in an election year?
That's the kind of thing that happens in third world countries.
President Trump talks about how America is becoming one, and it's true.
It's not hyperbole.
This is what happens in third world countries' elections and to their former presidents and leading candidates.
Now, as devastating as this news is, we aren't done.
There's still more they can do to President Trump.
There are more cases.
There are more things.
There are more trials.
The left won't just settle with this.
2024 is going to be a wild year, so you better buckle up, buckle your seatbelts, because this is just the first of many other lawsuits against President Trump.
And we have never seen anything like this.
The Democrats are pulling out all the stops because they cannot afford to lose to us in 2024.
This is lawfare.
The Democrats are using this tactic to prevent President Trump from running for office again, to prevent him from being able to campaign while he runs, to drain him of funds.
Even though he's a billionaire, these cases are incredibly expensive.
The Democrats want to stop President Trump at all costs.
The Democrats think that if they do this, they'll stop him.
But let's say President Trump wins.
Let's say he blows away Joe Biden.
He wins independence. Even despite all the obstacles, he wins overwhelmingly.
Do you think the Democrats will allow Trump to become president like normal?
Or will they make him serve out his presidency from a jail cell?
Why else would they be pushing all of these trials and felonies?
We are in uncharted territory.
In the left's mind, Trump must be stopped no matter what.
Even if he somehow makes it despite what they're doing to him, they're still going to perp walk him.
They're going to diminish us.
They're going to try to humiliate us.
So we can't fall for it.
Don't be ashamed of President Trump is my message to you.
Don't be ashamed to be MAGA. Stand and wear it proudly.
They're the evil ones, not us.
They want us to be ashamed.
So don't fall for it.
Now, as far as being a criminal, I think this term is wearing off in the sense that, is it really a bad thing?
Trump now joins other infamous outlaws like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin.
The American spirit isn't one of complacency and listlessness, but one of courage and fortitude.
Who better exemplifies that than our Founding Fathers and President Trump?
We aren't going to just shirk off into the corner and be embarrassed.
They are the ones who should be criminals.
One of the Democrats' motives in legally targeting President Trump isn't just to prevent him from campaigning or lock him up or drain him of funds, but to make it seem like to normal Americans, hey, he's a felon, he's a convict.
How can you vote for someone who has this many charges and so on?
Oh, we're aghast.
This is going to be their messaging to swing voters, to independents, to suburban moms, as they say.
Well, say what you will about criminals, Trump is a good man.
He's loved by his family, his kids and his grandkids adore him, and that speaks volumes.
He's also someone who's loved by millions of Americans for being a wonderful president and for being the only one willing to speak for them.
I'm a suburban mom myself, and I think that living in a country with this level of lawfare and persecution is frightening.
You don't see Republicans burning down any cities over this last weekend as a result of this verdict.
I think that's worth noting, even though this is a sham trial.
It's worth noting that Republicans are actually the party of peace.
Democrats, though, are creating an environment of political unrest, and they're the ones that are targeting Republicans.
If we look at the left's attempt to use lawfare to stop President Trump and it doesn't work, what comes after this?
The only last thing they can honestly do is kill President Trump.
That's it. They will have tried everything else.
So we need to pray for him.
Pray for his safety.
Pray for his protection. Pray for your neighbors.
Pray for each other. I can't believe we're at this point in our country, but this is the reality of where we are politically.
We're going to dive into this in much more detail today, so stay with us.
We recently had some monumental news.
Not good news, but no one's talking about it.
For the first time in our history, the interest we pay on the national debt surpassed every individual budget item except Social Security.
That's right. The U.S. now spends more on interest than on national defense or even Medicare.
And it's only getting worse as big government continues to spend like drunken sailors.

I want to react to a post made on X about the verdict.
College Republicans, a national organization that you would think supports Republicans, especially the most recent Republican president and the current Republican nominee for president this year, has released a statement asking us to, quote, respect the verdict.
The account of College Republican says, quote, Today's convictions are the result of a politically motivated prosecution, but a verdict was handed down by jurors whose decisions were made in accordance with our criminal justice system.
As such, the outcome of this trial should be respected, just like the decision of voters on November 5th, unquote.
Wow. Just wow.
Many people waited on X, including Molly Hemingway, who said, quote, completely discrediting, show trials not only shouldn't be respected, they should be condemned.
Matt Walsh, the podcaster, weighed in and said, quote, counterpoint, the outcome of this trial should be mocked, condemned, and scorned.
My response is, these kids are so naive.
They're the epitome of doormats.
They may be Republicans, but they're college Republicans who are probably surrounded by liberal peers, and they haven't toughened up, and they are not awake to the way this world works right now.
They don't realize just how bad the state of our country is, and when they graduate, they are in for a serious wake-up call.
So parents, even if your kid is a Republican, you need to teach them to be courageous and be aware of just how dire the time we're living in is.
This is not normal times.
It's not normal America to have a president who's prosecuted and persecuted the way President Trump is.
That's the norm in other countries and third world countries, but not here.
The American way of life and freedom are on the line.

I'm delighted to welcome to the show Caroline Leavitt.
She is Trump's press secretary for his campaign, and we're going to ask her all about this outrageous verdict.
So Caroline, thanks so much for joining us.
Thank you for having me, Danielle.
It's a pleasure. Oh my gosh.
Well, I'm smiling because I'm so excited to see you because we're such good friends.
But of course, this is such a horrible occasion in which for us to talk and we're so upset about the verdict.
Can you tell us a little bit about maybe what were you guys kind of expecting?
Because I know that you guys were probably preparing for two different options perhaps to...
Have either verdict.
And I know some people on the outside were thinking, there's no way it's going to be guilty.
There's no way. There's going to be one juror that's going to be sane somehow is going to, you know, find him not guilty.
And so when the guilty verdict came out, were you guys kind of just like, you know what, we're prepared, we're ready for this?
What were your guys' kind of strategies leading up to the verdict coming out?
We were prepared for a guilty verdict because we saw this case from the beginning and it was rigged.
It was concocted by Joe Biden and the corrupt Democrat Party.
It was pushed by a far-left district attorney, Alvin Bragg, who campaigned on getting Donald Trump.
And the case was overseen by a highly conflicted partisan judge.
And the case was overseen by a highly conflicted partisan judge.
Judge Bershon donated money to Joe Biden's campaign.
Judge Berchand donated money to Joe Biden's campaign.
He donated money to a group called Stop Republicans.
He donated money to a group called Stop Republicans.
And they brought this case forward in Manhattan because they knew it would be nearly an impossible task to get President Trump a truly fair and impartial jury in the case.
And they brought this case forward in Manhattan because they knew it would be nearly an impossible task attorney Alvin Bragg, who campaigned on getting Donald Trump.
And so we were expecting, unfortunately, a guilty verdict for those reasons, even though we knew the case was baseless and President Trump has the truth on his side.
He's innocent of the crimes that he's been charged with and convicted of.
And we're confident ultimately that truth will be revealed on appeal.
However, I will say being in the courtroom when the verdict was read, it was nonetheless shocking to hear the word guilty 34 times accusing or charging, convicting the former president of the United States.
It was a sad moment that I will certainly never forget being in that courtroom and listening to that.
And it's a travesty of justice what has taken place in Manhattan over the last six or seven weeks.
Wow. What was the mood like in the courtroom leading up to that moment and once the verdict was given?
Was it like very somber?
What was it like being there?
Yeah, well, we weren't expecting the verdict to be read on Thursday.
It was the end of the day.
The jury had been deliberating all day.
We were called in around 4 o'clock.
Court was supposed to adjourn at 4.30.
And so we thought that perhaps the jury was still in deliberation.
and then the judge had said they had a verdict.
And, you know, one of the most annoying things that I witnessed was the fake news media that were sitting in the courtroom behind us audibly gasped.
Like they were so concerned and it was going to so affect them that there was a verdict in the case.
And I thought to myself, what a show trial.
I mean, these people have been foaming at the mouth now for weeks, hoping that President Trump would be convicted.
The media is obviously on the side of the Democrat Party.
They were this entire case.
They have been for eight years since President Trump ran for president in 2016.
But just to hear their sounds, their gasps, their awes, their laughs even when they heard there was a verdict coming was really despicable.
And then we had to wait about 30 minutes for the verdict to be read.
And yes, it was somber.
It was tense. And then after, like I said, it was somber, but I was so impressed and humbled by President Trump's response.
We walked out of the courtroom.
Again, this is a man who served our country as president for four years and had to hear the word guilty 34 times.
And he walked out and he said, I'm going to go to the cameras now and we're going to say we're going to continue to fight.
And to watch him do that when his freedom, his life is literally on the line was so incredibly inspiring.
And I know the American people feel that too.
And that's why our campaign has received a remarkable outpouring of support from hardworking people across this country since that verdict was read.
My gosh. Well, tell us about that.
I know that the website crashed.
There were so many donations coming in.
What was the number?
What did it end up being?
Because I know that it was just insane.
Yeah, well, we raised $53 million in 24 hours after the verdict, which to put it into context, that's more than Joe Biden and the entire Democrat Party raised in the entire month of April.
President Trump hauled in more than them in just a day.
And the most remarkable part about that fundraising haul is 30% of the donors who chipped in are new donors.
They've never donated to President Trump or any political candidate or party before in their lives.
And it just shows that Americans care about fairness and justice, and they know that what we've seen take place in New York is anything but fair and anything but just.
And it is really rallied support for President Trump.
Yesterday on a Sunday, a beautiful Sunday, we saw patriots across the country rallying in support from Huntington Beach.
They had a big supporter rally.
New Hampshire, in my great home state, there was a car parade.
We saw rallies in West Palm Beach and Staten Island.
Our campaign had nothing to do with the organization of these events.
These were grassroots patriots who care about this country and our constitution and are rightfully pissed off about what has happened.
And they overwhelmingly wholeheartedly support President Trump.
So we're excited about that support, and President Trump is ready to get back on the campaign trail.
He had a hero's welcome on Saturday night at the UFC fight in deep blue New Jersey, and we just announced he will be holding a rally in the battleground state of Nevada this coming weekend.
Oh, wow. That's so exciting.
Yeah, my husband and I had the best time.
We did a grassroots rally for President Trump in North Texas.
Raining, pouring, but people showed up.
Lots of cars were honking.
They were having so much fun.
I think that so many people, as you've said, who are not plugged into politics are just going to see how disgusting this is that the left is doing this to President Trump.
Do you feel like this is going to pull in a lot more independents who maybe want We're good to go.
Absolutely. There's been a few polls already since the verdict.
The first was from the Daily Mail.
It was a flash poll immediately after, and it showed President Trump receiving a six-point lead over Joe Biden.
There was another poll yesterday that showed that 80% of those polled either don't care about the case, it will have no impact on their vote, or they are more likely to vote for President Trump.
And again, it's because Americans believe in fairness and injustice, and this case has been the opposite of that.
And I also think that this is going to help President Trump's support with Hispanic Americans, many of whom fled communist regimes to come to the United States of America because of political persecutions like this one in their home countries.
And they See this for what it is.
It's the persecution of Joe Biden's political opposition and world leaders have even spoken out against it as well.
The new president of El Salvador yesterday said we don't imprison or persecute our opponents in this country.
Boris Johnson had harsh words about the trial.
The prime ministers of Hungary and of Italy.
The world is watching and laughing at us right now because of what has taken place.
And Americans know better than to believe Joe Biden and the corrupt Democrat Party's lies that President Trump is a convicted felon. They are going to use that word a billion times between now and November. But the words President Trump is going to be speaking are inflation, are open border. He's going to continue to talk about the war that we've seen take place all over this world. And he'll continue to bring his winning message to uplift all Americans regardless of their background across this great country.
Wow, that is so incredible.
And I saw on your ex that Trump has joined TikTok.
So tell us a little bit about his decision to join TikTok.
And I saw that his TikTok is already bigger than Joe Biden.
So that's incredible. Yeah, we are so excited.
President Trump is on TikTok.
No better way to launch a TikTok than at the UFC fight with Dana White.
And the TikTok account has 3.5 million followers and counting already.
That is far more than Joe Biden's account has had, and they've been up for more than four months.
The post went absolutely viral.
We didn't even do a formal announcement from the campaign.
We just posted it on a Saturday night, late at night, and it took off.
And it's because, again, President Trump is overwhelmingly supported by the American people.
And as for TikTok now, Look, it's a wildly popular app that is used by tens of millions of Americans across this country.
And President Trump wants to save TikTok when he's president.
And Joe Biden has supported or expressed support for legislation to ban TikTok.
So President Trump is there because he's not going to let any stone go unturned when it comes to speaking to the American people and earning votes, especially young voters who he's already gained significant ground on against Joe Biden for this next election.
Wow. I saw this really cool video that Laura Trump put out of Trump with his grandkids and he was having a Diet Coke after.
Tell me a little bit about what it's been like for his family and kind of what has the impact been just personally as far as this case?
Well, the Trump family is so impressive, every single one of them.
They're great people, they're great business people, and they are wholeheartedly in support of their dad.
And I've seen that, you know, Eric and Don and Tiffany joining him in court, you know, to show their support for their father.
And they're great patriots and they love this country.
And ultimately, you know, Their family will be vindicated of all of the lies and the smears and the investigations that they've thrown at them.
And, you know, any other man would fold like a deck of cards in the face of the adversity and persecution that President Trump has faced.
But he continues to stand strong.
And I will say he is more resolute in his mission to fight and to save this great country than ever before.
Wow. Well, that is so inspiring, Caroline.
Thank you so much for joining us and sharing this news with us, because I think people are, in a way, so outraged, but are also going to be just emboldened to fight forward as we go into November and just bring in more people to vote for President Trump.
So thank you so much, Caroline.
Thank you. I'm delighted to welcome to the show my husband, Brandon Gill.
He is running for U.S. Congress in Texas' 26th Congressional District.
And Brandon, I'm very happy you're here.
But obviously, this is a very somber, very just...
It's a sad day in America, a sad week, a sad year, sad everything, because this is just unprecedented what the left is doing to President Trump.
So maybe I can start by just asking, what was your initial reaction when you heard the guilty verdict on All Counts?
Yeah, I mean, perhaps I was a little too optimistic here.
And first of all, thanks for having me on.
But I was really surprised when we saw a guilty verdict here.
I thought almost for certain the jury would be able to see through this, and perhaps I had too much faith in them.
But what it really shows is that in the absence of a legal system that's just and is blind and can look at the merits of a case in the absence of any political pressures, in the absence of a real rule of law here, there really is no institution or nothing to mediate political differences between us.
What that means is that in the absence of a fair rule of law, we're at a point where raw political power ends up ruling the day.
We saw that in New York, of course.
It's really a system where might makes right.
That's a dangerous, dangerous place to be as a country.
Yeah, that is incredibly dangerous.
It seems like, though, even at this point, many Republicans have not woken up to the fact that the Democrats are willing to stoop to this level.
They've not woken up to the fact that the Democrats mean serious business.
Now, you were endorsed by President Trump.
You are endorsed by him.
You're supported by him. Do you stand by President Trump?
What is your opinion?
Because some Republicans may think...
Let's run mainly on the economy here.
Let's bring the attention back to the border.
And those are all really important issues.
issues, but what is your stance on President Trump at this point?
No, of course I stand with President Trump.
I think one of the most interesting things about this case in particular is that there's really nobody on the other side of the aisle right now who's disavowing what's happening.
I mean, try to think of any major left-wing political pundit or politician or anybody who's saying that we shouldn't actually weaponize our legal system against our political opposition.
Maybe it's not a wise thing to do to lock up the leader of the opposition party.
There's nobody saying that.
And I think the reality is that even I sometimes will talk about this is a rogue prosecutor going after President Trump, or this is a rogue or just sort of an idiosyncratic issue that's coming out of a left-wing state or city like New York.
I think the reality is this is the strategy that the entire Democrat Party has adopted right now.
This is what the Democrat, institutionally the Democrat Party, wants to do.
This is the game that they're playing now.
So Republicans, we have to step back and realize that the rules of the game have shifted over the past several, probably the past five or ten years.
Yeah. So you're saying we need to get smart, we need to fight back against these things, and we can't let the Democrats do these things to us.
No. Do you think that we need to be prosecuting Democrats who are committing crimes, or what's your suggestion?
Yeah, I think oftentimes it's talked about in terms of sort of a tit for tat.
They do this to us, so we've got to do it back to them.
And that's true to an extent.
But the point that we're at right now isn't as much they're weaponizing the legal system, therefore we should weaponize the legal system against them.
We don't even have to do that.
The problem is we've got attorneys general across the country.
We've got Republicans in Congress who already have cases ready to be applied to these Democrat politicians.
We're just not doing it.
In other words, it's just that we've got to just get more aggressive about how we're going after the left.
We don't need to do anything illegal.
We don't need to contort the rule of law against the left.
We just need to apply it equally to them.
Because for the past several, for a while, we've been really hesitant to do that.
We've thought that if we're gonna go after a Democrat, we need to make sure we've got a really, really, really strong case because there's gonna be a lot of political blowback for doing that.
Well, those sort of customs don't apply anymore.
The left is going full gloves off against us and we've gotta do the same to them.
Right.
When you look at this district in North Texas, do you find that there's overwhelming support And what do you think the district's reaction has been?
Well, I can tell you firsthand with a lot of certainty that Texas 26 is definitely Trump country.
This is mad country out here.
The people that I'm hoping to represent in Congress in Texas' 26th Congressional District are all in for President Trump.
In fact, we had a rally last weekend in the middle of the rain, so this was a Saturday morning, Whenever a group of patriots decided on their own accord to go and stand by the side of the road waving Trump flags while it was pouring rain outside just to show support for the president.
And the thing was, it wasn't just a small group of, you know, your most dedicated activists.
I mean, there were dozens and dozens and dozens of people out there.
I mean, this is a big group.
So... No, for sure.
My district is looking for somebody who's going to defend President Trump.
I think it's very clear that the best way to get this country back on track this fall is to get Trump back in the White House and to write this really contorted legal system that's been going after him.
Yeah, for sure.
Do you think that as someone who is an outspoken defender of President Trump, as someone who runs speaking about this issue, someone who's endorsed by President Trump, do you think that If you look forward, what is the strategy of the left?
Is it to solely...
Put him behind bars?
Is it to take his money?
Is it to just derail his ability to speak at campaign events?
I mean, the left must see the fact that this is swinging independence our direction.
So do they not care about that?
Do they have other strategies?
I mean, why are they doing this?
Or is it just to cause pain?
Do they think that they're going to win from this?
What's kind of the end goal, do you think, for the Democrats?
Yeah, I think it's a little bit of all of the above.
I think, you know, take a step back.
A year ago, President Joe Biden is in the White House.
He's got an open borders, which has been incredibly unpopular.
The economy is in the doldrums.
We've got all kinds of nasty stuff happening in our schools that's wildly unpopular for the Democrats.
And he's got no choice because of his wildly left-wing political base but to defend it.
So there's no platform that Joe Biden can possibly run on right now.
So the last thing he wants is Trump to be doing rallies with tens of thousands of people packing sports stadiums, bashing him all day.
So what do they do?
The left kind of comes together.
They realize Joe Biden is their man.
There was a lot of talk about whether the Democrats would abandon Joe Biden.
They can't really do that. So you think Joe Biden is the nominee?
He's definitely the nominee.
They can't get rid of him.
So what can they do?
They can try to get Trump out of the political eye for a little bit or at least get him distracted doing other things where he's not bashing Biden as much.
And that's what I think ultimately a lot of what this trial was about.
But it's also Democrats, you know, the prosecutors in New York, the judge realized that if they're the person who goes after President Trump and can get him a guilty verdict or maybe even get him in jail, that's going to be a massive political boon for their career, sadly.
In a place like New York, I guess.
In a place like New York. When you look forward, how do you think Joe Biden is going to make it in these presidential debates?
I mean, I was kind of shocked to see that there's going to be presidential debates.
I honestly don't know if they're going to end up happening.
I would truly say I'm not sure if they're going to happen.
But a Trump versus Biden debate, what would that even look like?
I can't wait for these debates.
I mean, I'm just thinking of what kind of watch parties we're going to have, how much popcorn we're going to have, because I think it's going to be really entertaining.
There's going to be such a difference.
It's going to be such a stark contrast between Joe Biden on the one side who can't string a sentence together Who seems barely coherent.
I mean, we've seen his cognitive decline over the past six years, and it's been really sad to watch, frankly.
But you contrast that with President Trump, who's lively.
I mean, this guy has the entire world against him right now.
He's trying to run a presidential campaign while at the same time having the full force of our American legal system coming after him.
I mean, the amount of stamina and backbone and energy that this guy has is almost incomprehensible.
So you put those two people on the stage, it's going to be really entertaining.
Yeah.
Even though I think CNN is...
I'm moderating it.
They're going to decide how people come across.
I think they can cut the microphone.
But in any case, overall, I think it's obviously going to be huge for President Trump.
Do you think that it's going to be things like the debates?
Is it going to be this guilty verdict?
What do you think it is that's going to wake up Americans to the two people they're choosing between in an election like this?
Because to me, it seems like...
How much worse do things have to get for people to see we need to change?
How much worse does the economy need to be?
How much worse does the border need to be?
I mean, it's literally at the point where I don't think we can sustain this much longer.
I think the debates are great, and it's a great way, like we were saying earlier, to draw a contrast between the two candidates.
But I think we're already at the point where the contrast is clear.
Whenever President Trump was in the White House, we had a secure border.
We had a booming economy.
We had COVID, which was a small blip, but we were already starting to get through that by the time the November elections came.
And then as soon as Joe Biden got into office, the border opened, the economy collapsed virtually immediately.
The COVID crisis was prolonged for a while.
It felt like almost indefinitely.
So there was such a stark contrast, even in the quality of life that Americans have.
It's difficult for most ordinary, everyday Americans to get groceries, to pay for gas at times, to drive their kids to school.
I mean, life has gotten materially harder over the past two years, and people can feel that.
It's not something that they need to be told about in a presidential debate.
They already know it's there.
We've just got to make sure that they remember that in November, and I think that's going to be our biggest task.
Sure. And you also talked a lot about deporting illegals.
I know that that's something super important to us.
I mean, this border is insane.
How do you go about deporting illegals who have come here under Joe Biden?
Yeah, I mean, you know, there's a lot of talk about deportations, and that's going to be a major plank of President Trump's immigration policies going forward.
And I can't wait to be his biggest ally in Congress to help him carry that out.
The issue of deportations really is realizing what the left has done to our country and why.
We know that the border crisis is intentional.
It's been going on for a long time, ever since Joe Biden got elected.
And they're doing it, of course, to flood this country with people that they believe will be reliable, perpetual Democrat voters.
And they're doing it, I think, intentionally.
To destabilize our social system, to create a crisis for big government to step in and solve.
That's sort of the Democrat playbook right now.
So if we know that and President Trump realizes that deportations have to be our number one priority whenever it comes to illegal immigration after we seal the border and reform our asylum laws.
Now, how do we do that is a question that oftentimes gets asked, and it's really just a matter of political will.
If we want to actually save this country, we can.
Once these people come across the border, they're usually given cell phones.
They're flown all over the country.
In other words, these people can be tracked.
We were able to track down every single grandma who was in D.C. within a week of January 6th with Sort of pinpoint accuracy.
We can definitely do it for the illegals that are flooding into the country.
Yeah. Wow. Well, thank you so much, Brandon.
We will definitely be following all of this this year.
This is going to be a crazy year. It is.
It's going to be a crazy year. Wow.
