First-hand witness accounts are typically wrong because of simple biology.
And the first media accounts are typically wrong because of politics.
So sometimes it's better to report what you know, but avoid any kind of a detailed analysis until everything's allowed to kind of settle for a moment.

Another deranged lunatic who somehow thought it was a solution to his problems to shoot a bunch of kids in the face and in the back.
Now, I always say to you, there's a rule here, and the rule is you should probably wait.
The reason, folks, from experience in law enforcement and, you know, if you were EMS or fire or anything else, you know that the firsthand accounts people give of a situation like the Nashville shooting or anything else where you're immersing a human being, a victim, in a stressful situation at a level 100 on a 1 to 100 scale.
Something, thankfully, in your life you may be exposed to once or twice, hopefully never.
Maximum stress.
Folks, your body changes in that situation, that fight-or-flight response when it kicks in.
It's the reason, as a police officer, you're taught not to necessarily take the first word of someone who is an eyewitness to be gospel.
They'll tell you, oh, I was assaulted by a guy who was 6'5", 350 pounds, Male Hispanic.
You find out later they were 5'10", 180 pounds, and the person happened to be white or Asian or whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, it happens all the time.
It's human biology.
When that fight-or-flight response kicks in, you have everything from your pupils to your ears to your nose to your skin.
Everything responds differently.
So yesterday, we reported on the story.
It happened live while we were on the radio.
We were very careful about giving any detailed analysis.
Why?
Because it changed.
You heard yesterday early on, it was a teenager.
Then it was a 28-year-old.
Then it was, you know, but they didn't know the gender.
Now we find out it's a woman.
The media accounts also are to be almost immediately discarded.
From largely the liberal media.
Why?
Because the liberal media is not interested in doing actual media stuff as we saw yesterday.
Three kids, three adults, including the victim, all dead, brutally murdered, and the media is already looking for what, fellas?
Not the story.
They're looking for a story.
A story.
Now, I assure you, Joseph, If this was a white male who, God forbid, shot up a mosque, oh, that story would be all over the place, but that's not what happened.
The horror doesn't bother them at all, or the bloodshed.
A lot of these newscasts which would have run with this thing because they felt it was a story they needed to tell when they found out the story found a story not convenient and sidelined the story to second and third in their nightly newscasts.
You see, we don't do that here.
We cover the actual news and the story.
Calm down.
I don't want to let my anger get in the way here.
It's an important show.
But folks, I have to be candid with you.
I was furious yesterday.
I was reading through the comments and I was very eager to add my input.
I decided against it.
I tweeted out, put on True Social last night very simply, that I'm going to be withholding detailed commentary until I have the details.
But I wanted to make crystal clear that I'm reading the comments, what's going on on social media, and it's absolutely clear to me now, fellas, that we are dealing with pure, unadulterated evil.
Just read their comments!
Leftists.
Well, you know, listen.
It's a transgender person.
And, you know, those Republicans, they're istophobic, phobophobes.
So, you know, I understand.
Oh, really?
You understand?
You understand taking a high-powered rifle and sticking it in a kid's face and shooting them in the face or the back.
You understand that?
You know what's crazy?
You probably do.
That's the crazy part.
You lunatic.
That you probably do understand that.
That's why you need to get away from these sociopaths.
And then Rand Paul's staffer.
Another Rand Paul staffer.
Rand Paul's been the subject of just brutal attacks now.
Rand Paul's staffer was almost stabbed to death last night in D.C. Oh, read the liberal comments on that.
They're just glorious.
You're staring at evil, folks.
Demonic evil.
And I'm telling you, people have every right to protest.
They have God-given rights.
But when that violence comes your way, this sociopathic murderer yesterday in this school stares you in the face, you better be ready to deal with it.
These people are not interested in politics.
They're interested in your destruction.
Unbelievably, they're already excusing the murder of children in order to blame the GOP. It is evil in its purest form.
I'm going to show you some video for those listening on audio only.
I'll make sure I narrate it.

You can see the alleged attacker in this case.
Audrey Hale pulls up in what looks to be a gray minivan, shoots through the doors.
You can see in this footage here, starts walking through the school rather calmly.
You see this in a lot of these sociopaths.
They have no emotional attachment to what's going on.
If they did, they wouldn't shoot a nine-year-old in the face or kill them.
Right?
Calmly walking through the school.
I'm telling you, for those of you out there who are going to have your right to defend yourself and your family attacked now because that's what the demonic sick people will do.
They'll make this transgender murderers case about you and taking away your rights.
You better be ready to deal with that if your life's on the line.
You better be ready to deal with that.
Ladies and gentlemen, you better be ready to do what law enforcement has been trained to do and to neutralize that person who's going to put that gun in your face and ready to do damage to you.
Let me give you a tip from someone who had unfortunately lived this lifestyle for a very long time.
Folks, wherever you are, it'll take you no more than a minute to rehearse in your brain what you're going to do.
When you walk into a restaurant, when you walk into a church, just glance around.
It will take you less than 60 seconds, probably less than 10. See where the exits are.
Why?
Your first impulse, listen to me please, your first impulse when the stress level goes to 100, God forbid, An attacker were to break into your church or your school, restaurant you're in, wherever it is, your first impulse is going to be to try to escape or take cover.
And if you do escape, you're going to escape the door you came in.
Here's the irony.
Even if there's another door, you didn't come in right next to you.
The evidence is everywhere.
People's brains go right to where they came in.
There's usually a door somewhere else.
In a restaurant, there's always one in the kitchen at the back.
Almost nobody uses that except the stab.
Why?
Because they don't know it's there and they came in through the front.
Do the same thing at church.
Rehearsing your brain.
If you are exercising your Second Amendment God-given right to defend yourself and your family, say to yourself, what are you going to do?
Are you going to push your family down and engage?
Or are you going to escape?
If a door's right next to you, you may choose to escape first.
If you're by yourself, you may choose to engage.
How are you going to engage?
Walk it through in your brain.
Rehearse this.
Be prepared.
Don't be a sheep.
Be a sheepdog.
Do not be a sheep for these people.
Because sadly, you will see more of this.
Communal ties in our society are fraying.
People are becoming atomized.
Individuals only.
With no attachment to anything more important to themselves, which is the greatest irony of collectivism, isn't it?
That the whole idea of socialism and collectivism was that you would be part of a larger whole as socialism and collectivism push nothing more than atomized individuals only.
Isn't that the most tragic irony of all of this?
People have no attachment to anything other than themselves.
You will see more of this.
And I applaud the heroic Nashville police officers who did what they were supposed to do and neutralized this target as soon as they showed up on the scene.
That is what you're supposed to do now.
There was no perimeter.
They went in and they did what they needed to do.
You may have to do that too one day.
And you damn well better be prepared.
It was a press conference afterwards, Nashville police chief, where you can tell they're uncomfortable talking about Audrey Hale being transgender.
Why they're uncomfortable about this, I have no idea.
The person's alleged to have just murdered children and adults.
Take a listen.
Our investigations tell us that she was a former student at the school.
I don't know what grade she's attended or grades, but we do firmly believe she was a student there.
She does identify as transgender, yes.
I don't understand the hesitancy there.
I really don't understand the hesitancy there.
No one's Broadly stereotyping.
No one serious.
Broadly stereotyping that every member of a transgender community is murderers.
We don't do with it.
You see, here's the problem.
Here's the problem, guys.
They mistake us for the left.
Where some 30-year-old white guy, you know, brutally murders people.
And next thing you know, every white guy, because they go right to race essentialism, is somehow a white supremacist.
See, they mistake them for us.
See, we live in the world of reason, not the world of stupidity and identity politics.
Here's the second part of that.
This is important.
Police chief notes here that this was a targeted attack.
Why is it important?
Ladies and gentlemen, because targeted violence...
Assassinations of political figures.
In other words, someone wants to kill that person right there.
Targeted violence.
I want to attack that school right there.
Has far different characteristics than random violence.
Person's walking down the street and decides to carjack someone because they see an opportunity.
Those characteristics should be red flags.
They give off little signs that you can see.
Targeted violence.
Don't take my word for it.
Here's the police chief saying, yes, this was a targeted attack.

Is there any reason to believe that how she identifies has any motive for targeting the school?
We can give you that at a later time.
There is some theory to that.
We're investigating all the leads.
And once we know exactly, we'll let you know.
So was this a targeted attack?
It was.

I'm not on the scene.
I don't know Audrey Hale, alleged perpetrator of this crime.
I don't know the family.
I know Nashville.
That's his own words.
This was a targeted attack.
Now, unlike the liberal media goons looking for a story rather than the story, the story here is a horrible one.
And we're going to do our best to try to Take something from this to prevent and mitigate some of these measures in the future.

It's called averting targeted school violence.
Now, why would the Secret Service, where I used to work, be involved in studying school violence?
Because, ladies and gentlemen, they found this really odd thing.
That targeted violence towards political figures, I want to assassinate that guy, that the killers there and the assassins and potential assassins demonstrated some of the same characteristics as people who shoot up schools.
And when you know what those characteristics are, you can intervene.
Now, there are a number of key findings and implications.
I don't have time to go through all of them.
You can read the report.
But the most important, I would argue to you strongly, for someone with experience in this space, is that both presidential assassins and attackers that go to schools and murder and kill people told someone.
You can see at the end, scroll down to the end, one of their key findings here.
That students are best positioned to identify and report concerning behaviors displayed by their classmates.
Why?
Because in the Secret Service study, communications made about the attack plot were most often observed by the plotter's friends, classmates, and peers.
Folks, what I'm telling you is people involved in these types of attacks almost always tell someone.
Well, Dan, that doesn't sound right.
Why would they tell someone?
Because there's a side of them, I believe, that wants to get caught.
They want people to know the distress they're in.
And they want someone to stop them.
Unfortunately, that finding came true again.
Now, these texts from the alleged perpetrator in the case...
These texts happened relatively close to the incident.
So would this have stopped the person?
I don't know.
But you'll see the text stream from Audrey Hale.
It says here, you'll probably hear about me in the news after I die.

The left hates the idea that you should be responsible for your own self-defense and that of your family.
They hate that.
They want you dependent on the state.
So they want to enact what they would call, again, Now, we've only put this study out there.

Audrey Hale said she's a former student of the school and confirmed that Audrey Hale was identified herself as a transgender person.
The state of Tennessee earlier this month passed and the governor signed a bill that banned transgender medical care for minors, as well as a law that prohibited adult entertainment, including male and female impersonators after a series of drag show controversies in that state.

Where they used to have a law against teaching evolution in public high schools, in public schools.
They now are racing to enact these First Amendment limiting laws to limit things like drag shows.
You have rampant book banning.
I think Tennessee might be the most aggressive book banning state, even more so than Florida.
And so they're essentially saying it's too dangerous to allow children to be exposed to a drag show.
A drag queen is dangerous to children.
These books are dangerous to children.
But when it comes to guns, they're like, no, put more guns where children are.
It is an irony that's hard to get away from during this time of moral panic over books, history, and drag shows.
Again, to call the woman a disgrace to hit a new low is irrelevant.
Again, you can sense why Joe felt the need to come.

So Tennessee is trying to keep porn out of schools.
Joy wants more of that apparently.
Wants to keep men from shaking their genitals in front of young kids who are in no position to process what's going on.

This is a precious time in life.

If you're telling me that you don't think that having armed guards all over our preschools isn't robbing children of their youth, I don't know what to tell you.

I'll say my young child, there is armed security, has never brought it up to me one single time, ever.
She has been around firearms her entire life when I was a Secret Service agent.
She wasn't around when I was a police officer.
And has never brought the topic up to me one time.
Jessica Tarloff, who has, again, has zero experience in this issue at all, has very little experience in anything for that matter, other than dopey liberal talking points.

We have been in the cultural pits before and we've turned it around.
But I got to tell you, folks, if we're not hitting rock bottom, we're getting there soon.
They put a poll out there about what we as Americans, what we value, what we find meaning in.
You'd think it'd be family, religion, faith, God.
No, no.
No.
Here, look at the results.
Patriotism, back in 1998, 70% of people valued patriotism.
What's it now?
38%.
People found in 1998, 62% found meaning in religion.
39% now.
Basically, folks nearly cut in half.
People who valued having children, an attachment to the world, 59% down to 30%.
People who valued community involvement, peaked out at 62%, now down to 27%.
Yet people who value money went from 31% to 43%.
These aren't alarming data.
They're terrifying data.
Now, unsurprising to anyone who's been following partisan politics, there is an enormous partisan divide.
These numbers are far more grave amongst Democrats and Independents than they are amongst Republicans who preach as a bedrock value love of country.
However, they're not great for Republicans either.
Folks, I want to ask you this.
What did you expect here?
What did you expect?
We're now combining meaningless lives.
People who care about money over faith, patriotism, love of country.
They have no attachment.
Keep in mind what this poll means to anything larger than themselves.
Patriotism and attachment to country.
Religion and attachment to faith, God.
Children and attachment to kids.
Community involvement and attachment to your neighborhood.
all gone you have atomized individuals who exist only in this little cocoon with no attachment to anything else if you have no attachment to anything else ladies and gentlemen you have no attachment what's the old line when you have kids the world has hostages it's meant to be a joke but no there's something deeper there when you have kids joe you can acknowledge better than You know this.
The world is different to you.
All of a sudden, you say to yourself what Joe and I say all the time.
Gosh, I probably shouldn't do that.
We're all sinners.

If I did, how would my kids see it?
You don't do that when you don't have kids.

You have no attachment to any of that.

Do violent kids seek violent video games or do violent video games make kids violent?
Same thing with rap music and movies.
The answer is nobody knows.
Violent movies have been around forever.
Why now?
Ladies and gentlemen, however, there's no doubt This is not about the existence of violence and entertainment that's been there forever.
That's an easy out.
We're not banning.
Stop the banning.
It's about making adult decisions.
However, there is no doubt that bathing kids 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 in violent content probably has an effect on them.
Combining with their meaningless lives, the lack of parents and homes...
Not the case in this situation.
However, the case in many, where you don't have a fatherly influence in your life, combine that with exposure to screens all day, not reality, bathing in the freaking screen, no human attachment whatsoever.
None.
Bathing in violence and porn and meaningless TikTok interactions.
Meaningless.
Meaningless, inconsequential, unemotional TikTok interactions.
And you wonder why the person in front of you appears in the sights of a gun of a maniac and they can shoot them dead.
You're really wondering?
It's amazing we don't have more of this.
Now the secret isn't to empower the United States government to fix this.
Everything they touch, they burn and destroy.
The secret is a cultural revolution.
A reattachment to country.
A reestablishment of patriotism.
Something matters bigger than you.
A reestablishment to church and religion.
That's your job.

But I made a decision a long time ago.

I let my kids know every night before I go to bed.

I say, say your prayers.
Jesus loves you.
Government didn't tell me to do that.
I'm not your role model.
I'm not telling you how to be a dad.
I'm just telling you what I do.
My community matters, too.

They may be.
The local Republican Party here has a thing.
They ask me to come out, give a speech.
Go out and do it.
I need no pats on the back, not looking for anyone's awards.
It's just what you do.
My daughter's school has a fundraising event.
Me and my wife show up.
They have a daddy-daughter dance.
We show up.
Why?
My community matters.
It's not about me.
Nobody in my neighborhood gives a damn that I'm on Fox News.
Not a damn.
I care about that I'm the father to Amelia.
That I show up at these things.
Let me do it.
You gotta reattach yourself, folks, to something bigger.
Ignore Joy Reid.
Ignore Terry Moran.
Ignore Tarloff's advice.
Take initiative.
Reestablish the role of country, faith, God in your life.
Have children.
Nurture them.
Kiss them at night.
Tell them you love them.
