When our country was founded or not.
That's a different argument.
It's irrelevant to what Biden said.
The second amendment absolutely did not prohibit the use of cannons.
He's just making it up.

He says, as of 1791, When the Second Amendment was ratified, neither the federal government nor any state prohibited the ownership of any type of arm.
Oh, really?
Of course, neither the White House nor any of its allies have ever supplied a shred of evidence to support Biden's claim.

He's purporting to make a factual claim, Joe Biden, that the Second Amendment prohibited the use of or the purchase of or ownership of cannons.
He's making that claim.
That is a claim he made that can be fact-checked.
Weird how you're not doing it.
But just the news piece goes on about Biden's ridiculous statement about you couldn't own a cannon.
This guy Koppel says, indeed the Constitution presumed that citizens would own cannons.
Article 1, section 8, gives Congress the right and the power to grant letters of marque and reprisal.
That is, letters authorizing private individuals to attack ships of enemy nations.
Any ship capable of combat in the late 18th century necessarily had cannons as the primary weapon.
Indeed, in the 1790s, the nascent and then neglected U.S.
Navy had virtually no warships, so it repurposed private merchant ships armed with, get a load of it Joe, cannons!
Cannons for war!
Boom!
Effectively commissioning them into naval service.
Folks, they lie about everything.
It's going to be a common theme at today's show.
They just can't stop lying.

They want to disarm you.

And here's Karine Jean-Pierre, she said, nah, Joe Biden's not for that.
Harden schools, Joe.
Definitely not.
We don't want to do that.
Why would you want to do that?
I don't know.

There's been a conversation about hardening schools.
That is not something that he believes in.
He believes that we should be able to give teachers the resources to be able to do the job that they're meant to do at schools.

It's driving me nuts.

You know, I'm at a loss here, given that my prior line of work was literally to keep people alive via physical security measures and countermeasures, right?
And I can't even imagine if the Secret Service went to Joe Biden and said, listen, we got a threat.
Man with a gun says he's going to try to take you out at this next event.
So what we're going to do is we're going to create a law in that area that guns are illegal.
And we're going to take down all the magnetometers and everything else because we don't really need that.
They'll all do the trick.
You're probably like, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Do you understand that for your kids?
That's exactly what they're talking about.
Alright, I got a lot to get to and I don't want to focus too much on the stupid, but speaking of the stupid while I tie this up.
You know, Oliver Darcy used to pretend to be a conservative when he was grifting off conservatives.
The grift didn't work.
Everybody caught on to his grifting and he's uniquely untalented.
So Oliver Darcy took his grift over to CNN where he now pretends to be a liberal because nobody really knows what he is.
Depends on, licks his finger and sees where the political winds are blowing, where the cash is.
So here's Oliver Darcy, again a perpetual dunce over at CNN, who tweeted this out, Breitbart covered it, you'll see the story in my show notes.
CNN's Oliver Darcy roasted for spreading disinformation over secret service protocols for Trump NRA speech.
So Trump gave a speech in the NRA and Oliver Darcy and his ever-present genius, and we're using that term loosely, said stories on Trump's NRA speech should make a point to underscore that attendees were not allowed to bring their firearms into the venue.
This is great.
This is just the classic Oliver Darcy.
This is what happens when you spend your entire life getting coffee for people, trying to grift off conservative movements, trying to grab a dollar wherever you can.
So Oliver conveniently leaves out me having just a little bit, Joe, a little bit of expertise in this area, just a tiny bit, little more than Oliver Darcy.
You know, he was a former agent.
Special Agent Oliver Darcy.
Just kidding!
He was a coffee fetcher.
Number one, it's standard Secret Service protocol for a former president at a large event to set up magnetometers and to prohibit weapons.
That is not Donald Trump's call.
I don't know if Oliver knows that.
You know, he's in the whole media thing.
You should check that out.
Number two, as I noted in a tweet response to him, that the Secret Service, that has a pretty packed detail for a former president.
I'll leave the details out on that.
Uses what, Joe, to protect the president?
What do they use?
Do they use tasers?
Lightning bolts?
Is it the infinity stones from Thanos?
They use the Tesseract?
What do they?
Oh, firearms!
So they use firearms.
Oh gosh, so weird.
Nobody knew that.
So it's protocol, standard protocol, not decided by Trump.
The Secret Service uses firearms.
And I made point number three, if Oliver Darcy's suggesting that every human being in the United States Thanks, Al.

yesterday was a rough day.
Michael Sussman, the Clinton-connected lawyer, gets off.
Folks, it was no surprise to the show.
You know, I don't like playing... I think it's kind of dumb when you play You know, old stuff from yourself, like, look at me.
Of course, I got a clip of us later in the show, but it's to make a point about corporate taxes.
If you're a listener to the show, you just know I told you, Joe, you can vouch for me on this, that I have zero faith in the Justice Department.
And I told you nothing was going to happen to Michael Sussman.
I just knew.
Michael Sussman was a Clinton-connected lawyer, was on trial in Washington, D.C., where 90-plus percent of people vote for Democrats.
The jury was populated with Clinton donors, AOC supporters.
You can just be guaranteed that Michael Sussman was going to get off, and Michael Sussman did.
He was acquitted yesterday by a jury.
Listen, ladies and gentlemen, we got a jury system.
For better or for worse, it's the only system we got.
Yet Michael Sussman, we know, texted an FBI official saying he was coming on his own and not on behalf of any other client, yet was being paid by the Clinton team to peddle this misinformation about the Alpha Bank thing.
Folks, this is a dangerous new precedent though, what happened yesterday.
I want to go into it in a little bit more detail and I want to compare it to the Mike Flynn case because you may have forgotten the details of this.
Why?
Because Michael Sussman and Mike Flynn, Lieutenant General Mike Flynn, Trump's first national security advisors for a couple of weeks there, were both accused of the same thing, lying to the FBI.
But they were treated completely differently.
One was let off by a jury, one was pardoned and was still gone after by the judge.
Here, first off, the juror, if you read this Just The News article, it'll be in my newsletter today, one of the jurors said this, the forewoman, this is a stunning, stunning quote, after he's acquitted Sussman, even though the evidence was overwhelming, She said, I don't think this should have been prosecuted, the jury forewoman said.
There are bigger things that affect this nation than a possible lie to the FBI.
Oh, Moses, bigger things.
You had one job.
Your only job in this case, when agreeing to be a juror, was to prosecute, was to hear the evidence out there of this thing.
If you had something else to do and weren't interested, then you should have told the judge and the lawyers beforehand.
This is a political statement, folks.
This isn't a statement of law.
I'm going to get to more of this in a second because this speaks to a bigger cancer in our country that I've spoken about often here.
What we witnessed yesterday, in my opinion, Was jury nullification, and not just my opinion, but the opinion of many others.
Now, what is jury nullification?
I'll go to Cornell here, and here's the definition.
It's when a jury, knowing and deliberate rejection of the evidence or refusal to apply the law, either because the jury wants to send a message about some social issue that's larger than the case itself, or because the result dictated by law is contrary to the jury's sense of justice, morality, and fairness.
In other words, jury nullification is when the evidence is overwhelming, and then the jury says, forget the evidence, we just don't think the case should be prosecuted, we have bigger things to do.
Sounds like what the jury forewoman said!
Folks, jury nullification.
This is going to spread.
I've spoken about this often on my show.
When you get in business like I do, you have to be very careful.
It's getting to the point now, sadly, in our country where if you find yourself in a courtroom and you're a political figure, folks, it's almost impossible to get yourself a fair trial anymore.
It's almost impossible.
You can almost tell, outside of some state courts, Well, a lot of the judges are reacting in a pretty non-partisan fashion, but you can almost tell in a federal court, if you were a political figure, I'd sad to say this, you can almost predetermine the outcome in the trial by who appointed that judge.
You can also almost predetermine what an outcome in a trial is going to be on where the trial happens.
If you are a prominent Republican, conservative, or libertarian, and you are tried in Washington, D.C.
by an Obama-appointed judge or a Democrat-appointed judge, and it's a jury trial too, you have almost no chance of getting a fair trial.
However, if you're a Democrat, like Sussman, You have almost no chance of getting convicted.
Folks, this isn't justice.
This is politics.
You know, we have our courts built in the Constitution to be apolitical.
They were supposed to be and insulated from politics.
Lifetime appointments.
It's all gone now, folks.
There is no way, given the amount of evidence there in that case yesterday with Michael Sussman, in my opinion, he should have gotten off.
No way.
No way.
And yet deliberated for only six hours, boom, came back unanimous acquitted.
Not guilty.
Now I want you to compare this to what happened to Mike Flynn.
I'm going to get to that in a second.

So here's the difference between Sussman and Flynn, right?
Sussman was handled with kid gloves the entire time.
He was handled with kid gloves by the jury too, who acquitted him.
Now, again, we got a jury system for better or for worse.
It is what it is.
Stinks, but I want you to just pay close attention to how Mike Flynn was handled.
Some of you may have forgotten this.
So remember this, the Washington Post, Devlin Barrett, a deep state ally, and Greg Miller wrote the Washington Post.
Transcripts of calls between Mike Flynn and a Russian diplomat show they discussed sanctions.
Yeah.
So General Mike Flynn, remember this Joe, was fired.
Because he spoke, according to the Washington Post and others who reported this, he called the Russian ambassador and spoke to him about sanctions Barack Obama had levied on Russia before Trump took office.
So they alleged that that was a violation of the Logan Act.
But did, did he ever mention sanctions?
So this is weird because this is an FBI, the FBI notes on this thing about their interview here.
And I'm going to go through this quick.
Here are the notes.
And I want you to notice here on the screen that you're not going to see, this is the FBI's actual notes about what they discussed with Mike Flynn.
You're going to notice here that the word sanctions, that's page one.
Do you see sanctions?
We've done this before.
No.
No, do you see sanctions in this one?
He's talking about expulsions of Russian diplomats here again.
But I don't see sanctions.
Sanctions, no, no, no.
Okay, and in part three of this, there he is talking about the expulsion of Russian diplomats again.
But it's weird, even in the FBI notes, they don't mention Flynn talking to the Russian ambassador about sanctions.
They mention him talking about expulsions, which is kind of strange, okay?
Because he was arrested and prosecuted.
For lying about sanctions that even the FBI notes he didn't make.
So this is the actual transcript of the call that was leaked of Mike Flynn talking.
This is the summary of the transcript there.
Talking to the Russian ambassador.
You know what's strange in this transcript too?
You still don't see him anywhere in this transcript, oddly enough, talking about sanctions.
Which is strange, because again, he was prosecuted for lying about talking about sanctions, that, I just gave you the FBI notes, I'm showing you a transcript of the call, and sanctions still hasn't come up.
But he does note at some point in this thing, that listen, the expulsion of the Russian diplomats by Obama, You know, he acknowledges to the Russian ambassador he doesn't think that's a good thing because, you know, we don't want to be boxed in.
Which is even weirder because this is the FBI's handwritten notes from the interview.
This is the FBI agent who interviewed him who notes that Mike Flynn told him that they didn't want us boxed in.
There it is circled right there.
Boxed us in.
That's the FBI guy's actual handwriting.
So it sounds like Flynn said, boxed us into the FBI, which is exactly what he said on the call, and they never mentioned sanctions.
Well, you may say, well, Dan.
You know, sanctions and expulsions of Russian diplomats, those are really the same thing.
That's why Flynn was arrested.
Was he?
Because this is fascinating.
Richard Pollack article from February 2017, where Mike Flynn interviewed with the Daily Caller, where Mike Flynn specifically notes that he's talked about the expulsions and not the sanctions.
He says, Flynn said there was a brief discussion of 35 Russian diplomats who were being expelled by Obama in retaliation for Moscow's alleged interference in the campaign.
Here's Flynn, quote, it wasn't about sanctions, the call.
It was about the 35 guys who were thrown out, Flynn said.
So that's what it turned out to be.
It was basically, look, I know this happened.
We'll review everything.
I never said anything such as we're going to review sanctions or anything like that.
So Flynn notes, I never mentioned sanctions, I was talking about the expulsions.
The FBI notes that he said the exact same thing, don't box us in with these expulsions.
The transcript of the call is about the expulsions of the Russian diplomats.
And the FBI's typed three-page notes note that he mentioned expulsions and not sanctions.
Yet, Flynn was arrested for lying about sanctions he never mentioned.
That's weird because Michael Sussman was prosecuted for sending a text that I'm not here on behalf of any other client when he was being paid by the Clinton campaign.
You see how jury nullification works?
You can be arrested and prosecuted and forced to plea about a lie that never happened, about a conversation that never happened, yet when we have the actual text of a conversation that did happen, a totally different story.
And what contributes to all this?
The media.
Here, this is the media attacking Flynn, who've been noticeably quiet about Sussman right now.
This was after the whole Flynn thing went down.
I want you to listen to how the media, which right now is really quiet about celebrating this thing with Sussman that he got off, was really angry about the Flynn thing.
Check this out.
It's a pretty dark place on social media.
The very first comment after the story broke that I saw on Twitter was, Putin, if you're listening, high five your asset.
And there are Russian flags and Russian memes popping up.
And now we see Bill Barr really just doing Donald Trump's dirty work.
Now he has in his back pocket a little AG who saw to it to let Flynn go.
It is, I think, breathtaking dishonesty from the Justice Department.
This is the collapse of the Justice Department.
Now, Katyal, you caught my breath with the collapse of the Justice Department.
This is a case where the fix was in.
The fix is in.
Not good for the rule of law.
It's not good for morale.
And it's not a fair outcome.
This is an absolute injustice.
I don't worry anyone who cares about the rule of law.
Mike Flynn's lawyers have been engaged in a smear campaign.
This is a political and incredibly destructive thing to the rule of law.
It's all heading towards the president wiping the Mueller investigation, uh, out of the history books, at least as far as criminal conviction.
So again, just to be clear, Mike Flynn was arrested and prosecuted.
And even after being pardoned still was harassed for allegedly lying about sanctions, even though the word sanctions never, ever came up ever.
Weird, huh?
Sussman gets off.
They're super quiet.
Kind of strange.
All right.
Let me move on because it's jury nullification, folks.
You're going to see that.
And by the way, that works both ways.
I think you're going to start to see this.
Oh, jury nullification.

We can practice that too in red States too.

According to the CBO, corporate income tax collections in 2017, before the Trump tax cuts, came in at $297 billion.

By 2021, corporate tax collections had jumped to $372 billion, a 25% increase in just four years.
Okay, Joe, so Trump tax cuts cut the tax rate for corporations.

Now, as predicted, they bring more money back into the United States due to the lower rate.

And they wind up generating $372 billion after the Trump tax cuts.

The CBO said that even with the lower tax rates, total revenues in 2022 are projected to equal 19.6% of the nation's GDP, the largest annual revenues relative to the size of the economy since 2000.
That's 22 years and it was 2% higher than the average of the past 50 years.
