Okay, so, you know, the New York slimes is upset that we now, conservatives, have woken up, libertarians, good republicans, and even moderate democrats who voted for Trump and are figuring out that people like the New York Times, liberal activists, the Washington Post, CNN and MSNBC aren't interested in the facts, aren't interested in data.
Frankly, they aren't even interested in opinion.
What they're interested in is crushing conservatism.
Yep.
Trump and the evolution of Trump derangement syndrome has woken up a lot of people onto the right into the vitriol we've seen from them.
Now, you know, let me play this a little bit in reverse.
I want to go to this Jennifer Rubin video first.
This is Jennifer Rubin who comically the Washington Post labels as a conservative.
She works there.
She's not a conservative.
She's not even a Republican.
She may nominally label herself a Republican.
She's a liberal, is what she is.
But the New York Times, of course, trying to look bipartisan and open to new ideas, hires Jennifer Rubin.
This is Jennifer Rubin basically enunciating the left's new strategy against us as conservatives, and I want you to take this very seriously.
Play this cut.
I also want to echo something that my friend E.J.
said.
It's not only that Trump has to lose, but that all his enablers have to lose.
We have to collectively, in essence, burn down the Republican Party.
We have to level them.
Because if there are survivors, if there are people who weathered this storm, they will do it again.
They will take this as confirmation that, hey, it just pays to ride the waves.
Look at me, I've made it through.
And so up and down the ticket, federal, state, local offices, the country has to repudiate this.
It is not a normal administration.
And when these people say, oh, you can't criticize us, it will deter public service.
It will deter people who are liars, who are enablers, who are really bad people.
And they should be deterred.
They don't get to escape accountability.
That's all of our job, to hold them accountable for the rest of their lives.
You know what's really comical, by the way, about that segment, which you've probably seen.
I don't like to run clips you've seen on other shows, especially throughout the day, because I don't like to re-litigate a case you can see on a cable news channel.
But this was important.
And it's important because nearly every person on that panel, including the joker up in the upper left-hand corner, who I was on a panel with at Politicon, nearly every one of them was a believer in the spy and in the collusion hoax.
Nearly every one of them, she's comically Jennifer Rubin, talking about accountability.
While every person on that, nearly every person, because I don't know a few of them, but E.J.
Dionne, Jennifer Rubin, I think his name is Jason Johnson in the upper left-hand corner, who I was on a panel with there.
Our proponents of a debunked conspiracy theory hoax that has been a black eye on the media and yet they're talking about Trump supporters and the Republican Party having to be burned to the ground because accountability has to happen when they've ignored any accountability, have never apologized for their role in the propagation of the biggest hoax in US history.
Biggest hoax in US history.
That's number one.
Number two, as I've warned you repeatedly, These people do not want to win a political argument, folks.
Please stop mistaking this.
This is why a lot of conservatives have rallied to the back of Donald Trump.
They don't want to win an argument on taxes.
They don't want to win an argument on school choice.
They don't want to win an argument on healthcare because they have no facts to back them up.
They want to crush you.
To quote Jennifer Rubin, they want to shun you from polite society.
In other words, they want you to be humiliated emotionally.
Publicly, on social media, they want you fired from your job, they want your friends to abandon you, they want you because you believe in liberty and freedom, and again, Donald Trump, who's a flawed candidate, like everyone has their flaws, but has backed a lot of conservative ideas we believe in, they want you because of your support for him, and him too, to be shunned, bankrupted, and psychologically traumatized because you believe in a set of ideas differently than they do.
Yep.
Tell me again why we're supposed to be playing patty cake with these people.
Explain to me again in a coherent set of sentences or a paragraph why we're supposed to be, this is why I can't stand these vichy conservatives out there who, you know, they're like, oh well listen if we're just, if we go out and we try to make our case, listen I told you we should make our case, but not for them.
We should debate these people, but we should not be debating Jennifer Rubin to be changing Jennifer Rubin's mind.
Debate her, engage her on Twitter all you can.
You're talking to them to convince the third party listening in.
These people are beyond repair.
They were collusion hoaxers, they are liars, they are frauds, and they would have the country collapse in a minute just to make sure they come out on the other end on the other side with power and influence.
Now, what I was going to bring up first, but I want, I think it's probably better that I set the table this way first.
So just to take away on that, these people don't want to win.
They want to crush you.
There's a difference.
That's why we are in the trenches right now.
And we're not worried that the guy next to us, whether it be Trump or our political allies, we're not worried that he gave an interview on Howard Stern 15 years ago.
We're worried about Is he going to save lives via pro-life legislation?
Is he going to save our economy from destruction from socialist democrats?
Is he going to save us from being bankrupted and be the leading voice in fighting back in the culture wars on the left?
That's what we're worried about right now.
And it's what the, you know, like I said, the vichy Republicans and Democrats who just, oh, you know, let's just make, you know, let's just sit there and make peace with them and, you know, roast marshmallows and sing Kumbaya.
That's what they don't get.
Having said that, the New York Times objects to their now conservatives waking up to this fight.
Remember, the fight is we're about to be crushed.
They want to crush us.
They want to make sure you're not accepted in polite society.

What's the backstory here?
Again, as a response to that video you just saw of Jennifer Rubin and the hysterical TDS Level 6, Trump Derangement Syndrome Level 6 infected left that want to crush you, bankrupt you, humiliate you, conservatives have finally woken up and a band of conservatives have figured out that if they deploy the left's own strategies against them, they can finally create a battlefield situation where we can fight back.
Now, what is the article about?
You may have missed this story, but it's an important one.
For years, the jokers at Media Matters, who are just complete clowns, I mean, it's a total clown show of losers working for like a dollar an hour and, you know, sitting there in between bouts of, you know, 20-hour internet porn watching.
They eventually get around to targeting conservatives.
What Media Matters does, by the way, run by a homophobic anti-Semite Angelo Corazon, if you look up his article in the Daily Caller, some of the stuff he's written about Jewish people is just amazing.
This guy, I mean, amazing in the sense that this guy gets away, it's just stunning and astonishing that he's gotten away with it.
This guy runs a left-leaning organization named Media Matters that targets conservatives.
He's an anti-Semitic homophobe, this guy.
You gotta see his writings.
Or trans-a-phobe.
It's in the Daily Caller, you can see the piece.
Having said that, what Media Matters has done for years is they go back and target conservatives of any stripe they just don't like, and they find a tweet.
This has happened to friends of mine, by the way.
They find a tweet from seven, eight years ago, Joe, that's a bad joke or whatever, and they demand that person be fired, humiliated, boycotted, everything.
Yeah, yeah.
What's good for the goose, Joe, is what's good for the gander as well.
Yes, sir.
So conservatives figured out that, well, if we can probe back for years in social media accounts and emails, like they found the writings of Media Matters anti-Semite Angelo Corazon, that if they went back in time, they could use that same strategy against the left.
And against alleged reporters.
I say because the Times is pretending that the people that they hire are reporters.
They're not.
They're the left-wing activists disguised as reporters.
The Times is now upset that a group of conservatives is going back in time and probing the tweets of New York Times alleged journalists and finding out that a lot of them have written anti-Semitic or really offensive stuff as well.
And the New York Times doesn't like any of that.
I don't remember them, Joe.

Listen, last week we talked about Patrick Byrne, the CEO of Overstock.
I know, I got to eat after this.
Overstock CEO appeared on Martha McCallum's show.
And Patrick Byrne was alleging, and I'll give you a little bit of an update on this in a second, Patrick Byrne was alleging that the FBI was using him in an effort to spy on Republican campaigns and kind of hinted at some operation with Hillary Clinton.
If you listen to last week's show, I think he said that wrong.
I think he was looking for Russian blackmail on Hillary Clinton.
The FBI was trying not to blackmail Hillary Clinton.
But having said that, a source of mine that reached out again, all I can tell you is the source that reached out to me believes this guy is credible, and I do as well.
I don't think Byrne's story, he's saying it exactly correctly, and I don't think it's a reflection of him lying, I just think he's a very hyper guy on the air.
So, just to sum up, Patrick Byrne was the CEO of the company called Overstock.
He alleged in this interview we covered last week that the FBI reached out to him to rekindle a relationship with a Russian by the name of Maria Butina who was a key figure in this whole Russian collusion scandal.
I don't want to say a key figure, maybe a secondary figure.
The gist of it was this, that the collusion hoax, which was a hoax, was that the Russians were laundering money into the Trump campaign through the NRA.
That allegation has been widely discredited and debunked.
And the allegation is this Russian, Maria Butina, follow me here, I don't want to lose you.
Okay.
That she was making contact with NRA officials and kind of like greasing the skids for all this trying to develop contacts for the Russians, right?
Okay.
So Byrne's saying, hey, the FBI asked me to contact Butina to kind of like gather information maybe about this collusion thing.
Now, having said that, you know, a lot of you know the backstory.
If you don't, that's it in a nutshell.
There's been an update on this.

Butina has now been prosecuted successfully by the U.S.
government for not being genuine about our contacts with the Russians, right?
Bern is saying he was used by the FBI to contact Boutina.
But get a load of this from Rosie Memos.
This is a memo describing Boutina's legal team.
In writing, they say, in particular, we suggested to the government a strong suspicion that counterintelligence or other FBI investigators use confidential informants in their investigation of Maria, and that information provided by the witnesses to the government might be relevant to guilt or sentencing.
Okay, let me get back to this now.
Let me just describe to you what's going on here.
Okay.
Maria Butina, the Russian, who's supposed to be some secondary figure in this collusion scheme by her contacts with NRA officials and others.
Maria Butina's lawyers, during the trial, asked for Brady material.
In other words, material that could mean Butina was innocent.
You're entitled to that as a defendant.
You know that, right folks?
Okay.
If you are charged by the government with a crime and the government has information indicating you didn't commit that crime, by law, they have to turn that over to you.
It's called Bradyman.
If they don't, it's a serious, serious malfunction.
They'll be in a world of trouble.
Now, they made a Brady request.
Butina's lawyers to the government saying, we think our client was set up by a government informant.
Was there any government informant in the case?
Now, if you listen to last week's show on Byrne, you're like, yeah, Byrne.
Byrne said he was instructed by the FBI or requested by the FBI, let's be precise, to contact Boutina.
The very definition, Joe, right?
Of an informant for the FBI.
I'm not crazy, right?
No, you're not crazy.
Look at the response.
Some of you may have read ahead, but check out the response by the government.
This is to Boutina's lawyers.
They're suggesting that she was set up or there were dangles put out there.
In writing, the government denied the existence of any such Brady material.
Oh, he's right!
Orally, during debrief sessions with Maria, I directly told the government, this is her lawyer, that I believe Patrick Byrne, CEO of Oversock, who had a sporadic relationship with Maria over a period of years prior to her arrest, was a government informant.
Listen to this, folks.
My speculation was flatly denied.
My associate Alfred Curry made similar assertions in a separate debrief that he covered and was also rebuffed.
Ladies and gentlemen, somebody is lying.

Somebody's nose is growing.
Somebody's not telling the truth.

Either Patrick Byrne is making up this whole story, which I'm telling you, based on strong sourcing on my end, he is not.

I doubt it.
Not based on the people.
People, notice the plural.
I've been talking to about Byrne.
Byrne is saying, I was a government informant, requested to contact Butina.
Butina's lawyers, were there government informants in the case?
What about Byrne?
No, no, there were no government informants, the government said.
One of these people is lying.
Ladies and gentlemen, may I suggest to you that it is not Byrne.
That again, they are lying again like they were lying about Halper.
Like they were lying about Downer.
Like they were lying about their leaks to the, uh, the FBI's leaks to the media.
Like they were lying about the July 31st start of Crossfire Hurricane when we know the investigation of Trump started possibly as early as 2015.
They are trying to cover their tracks.
Because the Boutina NRA story turned out to be a dud.
And the Butina NRA story was, at least the NRA story about them laundering money, which was false, for foreign donors from Russia into the Trump campaign.
That was a key component of the debunked dossier used to spy on Trump.
They are wiping clean all their tracks.
Someone is lying.
Again.
Man, the FBI's been pretty bad with this exculpatory stuff here, haven't they?
Oh my God, you know what?
Excellent point.
Huh?
I mean, what do you have?
We have the George Papadopoulos tape where he's like, I wasn't, this is treason what you're suggesting.
I didn't do this.
That exculpatory information, the fact that Carter Page, they didn't verify any of the info on Carter Page.
There's allegedly tapes out there of Carter Page too.
Now we have this exculpatory information that Butina may have had a source dangling information in front of her.
Folks, If Butina's guilty of being a foreign spy, fine, charge her with that.
That's not what they charged her with, by the way.
But I'm telling you, this case is a scam.
The government is wiping clean its tracks in the sand.
Good point there.
The susculptory information is everywhere, and you hear none of it.
Right.

You know, I cover Manafort extensively in my new book, Exonerated, which is coming out in a couple weeks.
It was unbelievably one-sided.
Amazing how they include his work for Ukraine, but entirely leave out that one of the people working with him on Ukraine was Obama's former White House lawyer.
And the fact that a number of prominent Democrats were working in Ukraine doing the same thing Manafort did.
All left out of the show.
Left it out?
And the Mueller report says it was a joke.
It was a total, don't even waste your time.
If you listen to this show last night, even Paula, who doesn't, you know, a lot of times she's producing, she's like, I know all of this already.
Like, it's a total waste of time.
All right, moving on.
An important case yesterday came down in the state of Oklahoma, and I want to address it because there's a lot of emotions behind this on both sides.

There was a ruling against the Johnson & Johnson, which makes an opioid-based drug.
Oklahoma judge rules against drug maker.

Orders $572 million payment.
Ladies and gentlemen, this was a troubling case.
It was a lawsuit By the state of Oklahoma, against Johnson & Johnson, which produces an opioid-type medication.
Listen, there's no disputing, full stop, we have an opioid issue in this country.
None.
None.
There are significant numbers of people who have died.
Those statistics are out there for you to see.
I am not disputing any of that.
Folks, it's, and before you, because this is an emotional topic on both sides, but I don't avoid emotional topics.
That's what we do here.
We have to address the hard stuff too.
This is an issue that's run in my family.
Not just with one, but with many people.
So I just ask you, email me, our email's on the website, say whatever you need to say, but I just, before you say, I just want you to keep in context, this is not some issue that I am discussing, I'm discussing this personally.
This is in my direct sphere of influence that has impacted me and my life personally.
My wife knows what I'm talking about.
So, this is an important topic.
The judge ruled against the opioid industry with a $572 million fine.
The fine is not the $17 billion the state was seeking, but the lawsuit was shady in a number of respects, folks.
It involved the use of public nuisance-type rulings instead of direct impact ruling.
The way it was conducted was awkward.
And I wanted to bring up a couple points about this.
Folks, we are always going to have problems when it comes to pain medication.
Always.
Because the potential for abuse of them is high.
Yes.
But folks, the level of abuse, although serious, again, it is a serious problem, should not incentivize people to sue these companies and drive them out of business.
90 plus percent of people who use these drugs and need them Chronic pain situations, post-surgery situations.
Use them responsibly.
Folks, I had back surgery.
I was prescribed oxycodone once.
I had no problem with it at all.
I think it was two days and that was the end of it.
I mean, that was 20 years ago when I lived in Maryland.
That probably covers 90 to 95, if not more, percent of people prescribed these drugs.
And I ask you, before we start suing these companies and bankrupting them, disincentivizing them to produce medications that can mitigate human pain, what's the personal responsibility component here?
Folks, you understand that these lawsuits by these states have significant consequences.
Yes.
It may prevent doctors from prescribing these medications to people who need them.
It may disincentivize companies from producing new and more effective, even less addictive ones in the future.
I'm not suggesting every step these companies followed was the right one.
Again, I'm not suggesting there isn't a problem.
But folks, there's a personal responsibility component here.
And because a small percentage of the population abuses these drugs, some die in the process, which is tragic.
Again, I've been personally affected by this.
Should not mean that the rest of society should be penalized for it.
Keep in mind, as was pointed out in the Wall Street Journal this morning, These are government regulated drugs, Joe.

That have to be prescribed by doctors.
They're not over-the-counter medications.

Who are sold in pharmacies that have significant government regulatory loads to sell those drugs.

This is not an unregulated field.

And I'm just telling you, there are people out there who use these drugs responsibly because they have chronic conditions they can't manage.
They live with chronic pain.
The rest of the world shouldn't have to suffer because of a personal responsibility lapse or people who choose to abuse these drugs.

But the world is not full of simple solutions.

Folks, this McCabe saga has me furious.
Andy McCabe is a former deputy director of the FBI, was an integral figure in the spying scandal on the Trump team, signed one of the FISA warrants.
McCabe was the one who claims to have opened up the obstruction investigation against Trump after his buddy, his pal, his chum, disgraced former FBI director Jim Comey was fired.
We didn't cover this yesterday.
I'm sorry.
There's just always a lot going on here.
Andy McCabe, a decision should come down within days if he's going to be indicted or not.
Now, what's the indictment about?
Why is McCabe in trouble?
Why is McCabe, by the way, one of the sleaziest figures as well in this entire thing?
I would debate as sleazy as Jim Comey.
Number one, let's put up, this is a hat tip, I think this came from Conservative Treehouse.
They always do good, they outline stuff pretty nicely.
No, no, not the timeline.
But Conservative Treehouse has a timeline up of what exactly McCabe did and why he's in trouble.
And I want to make sure I give you a little bit of background on this first because it's important.
Andy McCabe was the Deputy Director of the FBI.
During the investigation of the Clinton email case, it's alleged, and you can see if you're reading this, I'll highlight it in a second here, you can see the IG report points out to his lack of candor.
He was interviewed on May 9th of 2017, this is from the IG report, when questioned under oath by FBI agents from their inspection division, basically their internal affairs, and McCabe lacked candor when he told agents he had not authorized the disclosure of the Wall Street Journal and did not know who did.
This conduct violated FBI offense code 2.6, lack of candor under oath.
Now, come back to me here.
Let's be clear on what's going on.
There is a leak to the Wall Street Journal about sensitive information in the Clinton probe.
The FBI Internal Affairs becomes suspicious that that leak was from Andrew McCabe.
When he is interviewed under oath on May 9th, he denies being the source of that leak.
Follow me, because if you don't know the details of this, the McCabe story becomes confusing, and leftists who love McCabe, who was just hired by CNN, Unbelievably as a contributor.
This guy's a known liar.
Leftists are now trying to back this guy up.
He didn't really do anything wrong.
No, no, no.
Folks, this guy is a really horrible person.
Now, keep in mind one thing here as well.
You are, just because you're an FBI deputy director, doesn't mean you ever have to talk if you think criminal charges are against you.
You have the right against self-incrimination.
Does everybody get this?
Because I want to be clear on this.
Now, administratively, the FBI may have rules that you have to talk to their inspection division.
That's an administrative rule.
That's fine.
You can quit.
The FBI cannot make you self-incriminate yourself, no matter what.
You have a constitutional Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.
Administrative rules are different.
Legal rules, administrative rules.
Andy McCabe chose to take the administrative path and speak to the inspection division about the leak.
He went under oath.
And he, essentially, I believe, put himself under criminal liability by lying.
Now, a lot of people say Andy McCarthy made this great point in a National Review piece.
Folks, don't lie to the FBI.

You don't have to talk to them.
I don't want to be a jerk with this, but Andy McCarthy made an excellent point.
You don't have to talk to the FBI.
You don't.
If you don't want to, don't do it.
I'm just telling you, if you do, don't be stupid and lie to them, because they can charge you, and in many cases will.
Andy McCabe chose to speak to the FBI he worked for, and he did not tell them the truth.
I wasn't the source of the leak.
He was the source of the leak.
We know that.
Now, what's the problem?

What makes it worse?
McCabe changes his own story to the inspection division on a November 29th interview when he says, all right, he did authorize disclosure, but basically said it was just at the end of a meeting when I said to these inspection guys, it was at the end of a meeting and I was basically confused.
This is defense.

He goes under oath, chooses to take the administrative path, doesn't invoke his right to not incriminate himself, lies to the FBI on May 9th, then goes back in November, tries to retrack his spending.

What I originally told you wasn't true.
But I just said it in passing at the end of an interview.
You may say, all right, well, that sounds innocent enough.
Remember, the leftists are going to defend these guys.

This magical charge that Carter Page was going to accept a bribe from this Russian gas company, Rosneft, worth potentially hundreds of millions of dollars.

The crime that was missing from the original applications that were likely denied because there was no crime there.
What's the problem with that crime?

There was no bribe offer made to Carter Page!

This guy Archie wrote a declaration saying, hey, we don't want these Comey memos exposed to the public because they have information in it.
Look at what they may have in there!
This is from their court filing.
The memos also identify specific foreign governments and officials and reflect particular non-public interactions between them and the United States government.
The public's disclosure of which could reasonably be expected to affect the United States' relationships with those countries- Wait, wait!

And one of the reasons they're citing is this sensitive information about foreign government spying?

How numerous are these memos?

We know the FBI went to his house to get them.
If, on paper, Jim Comey documented his efforts and the FBI efforts with the CIA and others to circumvent the U.S.
intelligence prohibitions on spying on American citizens using foreign counterparts and others, we need to get a look at those memos.

And it explains why the Justice Department doesn't want them out there right now.

Now Joe, given your expertise in radio, having done conservative talk radio for almost three decades, would you say it's a good idea on conservative talk radio to have hosts that are conservative so conservatives would listen?

Bill Weld on the Republican side, you have Mark Sanford wants to primary Trump too.
They'd have to give Trump three hours a night.

How are you in radio when you don't know about equal time?

Pretty much every congressman or woman in the country right now has an opponent.
How come when Fox has on whatever, congressman, you know, Jim Jordan or whatever, how come they don't have to offer equal time to Jim Jordan's opponent?
Because when Jordan comes on, he's commenting about news events.
That's a carve out or else you could never have anybody on the air.
But when you're on the air talking about your campaign, You have to give the opponent equal time.
The radio station has to forfeit the whole time to her opponent.

When I was running for Congressional District 6 in Maryland, I did a weekend show on WMAL.
I'd done it for a long time.
Nobody complained.
I mean, they could have you on the air, but if someone complains, they have to have your opponent.

And sure enough, I get a call from one of the managers there at MAL, and they're like, hey, man, I got bad news, but your opponent, John Delaney, Is claiming equal time.

I think it was like three hours.
They had to do it.

You know, one of the things I've always been concerned about for a very long time is I've been speaking out against the Patriot Act and other forms of government surveillance for a very long time.

It's the advent of these government-run systems that are proliferating around the world in conjunction with private sector surveillance as well.

What do they mean by this?

China right now has a very disturbing, it's the world's largest surveillance state.
The government has, I read this, if I'm quoting this number wrong, forgive me, but I looked it up and verified it twice.

China currently has a network of 200 million.
Again, I looked it up twice.
Cameras In its areas that monitor people.
Monitors from, and I was listening to a podcast this weekend, apparently they have not only facial recognition, Joe, but get a load of this.
They have gait recognition.
Gait, G-A-I-T, not G-A-T-E.
In other words, if you hide your face, yes, you have a very specific, you know me with my arthritis, I walk really funny.
Apparently they can pick me out.
200 million cameras.
Now, the article goes into that a little bit, but says, ladies and gentlemen, what they do with that is they use it for a social score.
In other words, let's say your gate detection system detects you jaywalking.
China has a social credit system, and they humiliate people.
They put people on the internet like, here's Joe Amikaw's serial jaywalker.
And at some point, there's a fear here that these people who get low social scores, he doesn't put his garbage out correctly, we have him on video, that you're going to be prevented from leaving the country, opening a bank account.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is Orwellian nightmare stuff.
This is really happening, it's not a joke, it's not a sci-fi movie.
It's happening in China.
The point of the article is, hey listen, this stuff is kind of going on a bit now, here.
Maybe not government run, but sometimes equally pernicious.
And they lay out a couple of examples.
Get a load of this, because a couple of these I hadn't considered.
These are private companies in the United States that are doing this now.
Insurance companies, Joe, are apparently going through your Instagram now?

They're going to your Instagram, right Joe?

How the Uber drivers can rate you and so can Airbnb owners of rooms and stuff they rent out.

Or maybe if you're just awful to the Uber driver, you go to the Airbnb, you know, you abuse the guy's house.
God only knows what you're doing in there.
They can rate you and you could be kicked off the platforms.

And they have, of course, government has a monopolistic use of force, which private business doesn't have.
One more thing about this.
The article warns people.
That just because this is in China doesn't necessarily mean that you won't be caught up in it.
That this network captures you too.
So if you go over to China or some of the countries they license this technology to, and let's say you have a business meeting, and you didn't want the details of that business meeting and who you were meeting with public, you may be caught up in this system too.
And your business may suffer.
