But this time, honestly, it feels like a straight-up heist on our republic.
Grab your favorite mug or coffee or tea, maybe even a snack, because today we're spilling the tea on the history of non-citizen voting in the good old US of A.
This story is all about how we started off way too loose with who gets a say in our elections, tightened it up for good reason, and now, well, let's just say certain folks on the left are trying to unravel it all over again to pad their voter roles with people who shouldn't even be here.
Okay, so buckle up.
Let's get into it.
Picture this.
It's the 1700s, colonial America, and we're basically begging white Europeans to come over and help us build this new nation.
Back then, voting wasn't some sacred citizen-only club.
No, it was more like, hey, if you've got property, you've been here a hot minute, and you're not causing trouble, sure, cast a ballot.
As early as 1704, some colonies were letting non-citizen immigrants vote if they met basic residency or landowning rules.
By the time we hit independence in 1776, at least 12 of the original 13 states were cool with it in some form.
We're talking up to 40 states and territories over the years allowing alien suffrage.
That's the fancy term for letting non-citizens vote in local, state, or even federal elections.
Why?
Simple.
We needed bodies.
For westward expansion, farming, building railroads, you name it.
States like Pennsylvania would let you vote after just two years of residency.
And heck, some places even let non-citizens run for local office.
It was all about attracting hardworking people to make America great.
But spoiler alert, it opened the door to all sorts of shenanigans.
Fast forward to the mid-1800s and things start getting messy.
Waves of immigrants are pouring in, Irish, Germans, you name it.
And suddenly, nativists are like, hold up, this is diluting our votes and letting foreign influences mess with our elections.
Fears of fraud, corruption, and even radical ideas sneaking in from Europe had people up in arms.
Remember the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798?
That was the Federalists basically saying we're not letting French radicals or anyone else hijack our system.
States started clamping down.
New Hampshire in 1814, Virginia in 1818, Illinois by 1848.
They all banned non-citizen voting to protect election integrity.
By 1900, only 11 states were still allowing it.
And honestly, good riddance, because who wants outsiders deciding our leaders?
Then comes the big turning point.
World War I rolls around and xenophobia is at an all-time high.
We're talking literacy test, strict registration, and a massive pushback against anything that smells like foreign meddling.
By 1926, Arkansas becomes the last state to outlaw it for state elections, and boom.
Non-citizen voting is donezo nationwide for federal and statewide races.
Political scientist Leon Alsworth nailed it in 1931.
The 1928 election was the first in over a century where no alien could vote anywhere.
Americans saw this as a win for sovereignty.
Finally, only American citizens calling the shots.
Preserving our republic from outside corruption.
But wait, there's more.
And this is where it really gets infuriating in modern times.
Fast forward to the 1990s, and we've got the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996, making non-citizen voting in federal elections a straight-up federal crime.
Fines, jail time, deportation, the works.
That was supposed to seal the deal, right?
Wrong.
Under the Biden-Harris administration, with their open border policies letting in millions of illegals, conservatives are sounding the alarm that this is all part of a plan to let non-citizens vote and swing elections.
Think about it.
No proof of citizenship requirements in some states.
Motor voter laws automatically registering people at the DMV without checks in sanctuary cities turning a blind eye every single time.
A 2014 study suggested non-citizen voting might have even tipped the 2008 election and while libs love to debunk it, the Heritage Foundation has documented cases of fraud going back decades.
House Republicans like Darrell Issa and Matt Gates held hearings on this exact non-citizen voting crisis tied to the border mess.
Warning it's happening right now.
From a conservative lens, this whole history screams one thing.
We learned the hard way that letting non-citizens vote erodes our democracy, invites fraud, and hands power to people with no skin in the game as true Americans.

I mean, I guess that's mainly the question here.
So where do we even start today with all of the activities going on in Washington, D.C. and all of the people that are working so hard to get the Save America Act passed?
Wow, what just amazing people are stepping up and you really get to see who is who in the sleaziest town on earth.
At least that's the way I see it.
But anyway, we'll hop right on into this.
As we begin today's show, we've got a fun fact for you.
It is dedicated to the Democrats of all people.
Because on this date, February 7th, in 1940, the animated movie Pinocchio premiered in New York.
Pinocchio's nose would instantly grow longer every time he told a lie or a fib.
Can you imagine how long noses would be if this were true for Democrats?
For Biden and Schumer, who have lied continuously for 50 years, the end of their noses would be in a completely different zip code.
Well, we've had another week jam-packed with news and developments.
President Trump launched Trump RX, the new prescription drug website.
Jill Biden's ex-husband was charged with the murder of his wife.
And no story is more heart-wrenching than the kidnapping of Savannah Guthrie's mother, Nancy Guthrie.
That story is still playing out.
The deadline in the ransom note has been extended to Monday afternoon, but in the meantime, we can all pray for her safe return.
An enormous amount of attention is focusing on the other big story right now, and that is the effort to ensure the integrity of our elections through the SAVE Act and the Save America Act.
This is perhaps the most crucial piece of legislation in decades, and it is absolutely critical for protecting the second half of President Trump's second term.
That's why we named today's show, Save America Act.
This is so important that Scott Pressler is in Washington, D.C. right now talking to senators and representatives on our behalf, whipping the votes.
Scott has been imploring Senate Majority Leader John Thune to pass the Save Act and Save America Act every single day since January 1st.
Scott is a true patriot, and he is currently the best source of information about where these bills currently stand and where things are headed.
Let's start with a brief explanation of the difference between the SAVE Act and the Save America Act.
The SAVE Act requires proof of citizenship in order to register to vote.
This is an enormous safeguard since blue states have been eroding the requirements for registration for years now.
The SAVE Act currently has 48 co-sponsors in the Senate.
The SAVE Act would be good, but the Save America Act is better.
Similar to the SAVE Act, the Save America Act requires proof of citizenship in order to register to vote, but it also requires all voters to show voter ID in order to vote, and it eliminates mail-in ballots except for illness, disability, military service, or travel.
The Save America Act currently has sponsor Senator Mike Lee plus 30 co-sponsors for 36 committed Republican votes in the Senate.
Keep in mind, there are 53 Republicans in the Senate.
Some of these are never going to support it just because it originates from Trump.
We should expect the usual Cretans, of course, Murkowski, Collins, and McConnell to oppose and possibly Rand Paul.
That would leave 49 potential yes votes with 36 already committed.
So where are the other 18 Republicans?
They should be climbing over each other to be co-sponsors, but they're not, at least not yet.
This is really disturbing.
What are they thinking?
Even the leftist polls admit that this is an 80 to 20 issue in total across all party lines and demographics.
This is truly a no-brainer, and it should be bipartisan, but it's not because Washington, D.C. is still a swamp.
Democrats are opposed to election integrity because they need to cheat to win.
President Trump asked all of us to fight, fight, fight for his legislation.
And this is where all of you come in, Jims.
These senators work for you.
Call them, tag them, send them emails, send carrier pigeons, whatever it takes to let them know that you want the Save America Act passed.

Once the needed votes are committed, John Thune has agreed to send it to the floor for a vote, and Democrats will have to explain why they are against election integrity and against something that 83% of Americans want.

America must get Save America Act passed in the House and in the Senate and onto President Trump's desk for signature as fast as possible.

Nancy Guthrie relentlessly and viciously attacked President Trump and the ICE enforcement of federal immigration laws.

What's really significant about Nancy Guthrie's Facebook post as it relates to her kidnapping is her obsession with supporting illegal immigration and her hateful opposition to federal ICE officers enforcing federal immigration laws.
Why is this important?
Because Nancy Guthrie was regularly communicating with anti-ICE pro-illegal immigration accounts on social media.
Being that she is the mother of an extremely wealthy NBC Today TV show host, it is very plausible that Nancy Guthrie was communicating with illegal immigrants and groups involved in hiding illegal immigrants, and this could have made her a prime target for being kidnapped by individuals in the Tucson area who were involved in human smuggling of illegal aliens and other crimes.

We have wrapped up this eye-opening look at non-citizen voting from the early days when we basically handed out ballots to attract settlers.
Up to 40 states allowed it at one point to conservatives finally clamping down hard in the mid-1800s through the 1920s to shut down fraud and foreign meddling.
By 1926, it was banned nationwide for state elections.
The 1928 vote was the first in over a century with zero non-citizen ballots.
And in 1996, made it a straight-up federal crime.
We thought would be sealed tight, but those lingering loopholes, motor voter auto registrations, no real citizenship proof, sanctuary, blind eyes have kept the warnings alive.
Fraud risk and diluted votes are real threats.
That's why the Save America Act is the must-pass fix right now.
It demands actual documentary proof of citizenship to register.
Passports, birth certificates, naturalization papers, not just a driver's license.
It requires a photo ID at the polls.
It forces states to scrub non-citizens from roles using federal databases like SAVE and SSA and closes the sneaky self-attestation gaps.
So no more trust me I'm a citizen when it's too easy to game.
If you're not an American citizen, you don't get to vote in American elections, period.
And let's be clear, President Trump has delivered the most secure border in modern American history.
One year in, January 2026, the numbers are staggering.
Southwest Border Patrol apprehensions, just over 6,000, down 93% from historic averages.
Nationwide encounters, around 34,000.
That's 87% below the old monthly average.
Four straight months of decline.
And nine straight months of zero releases into the interior.
No catch and release.
Everyone processed and removed.
Massive deportations rolling.
Millions self-deporting.
Negative net migration for the first time in decades.
Remain in Mexico revived.
CBP 1 ended.
Waterborne barriers going up.
Wall contracts awarded.
Secretary Noam and the team are crushing it.
The invasion is stopped cold.
With the border, this lockdown, the risk of non-citizens slipping into the voter roles is way lower.
But we need the SAVE Act to slam that final door shut for good.
Strong border enforcement plus ironclad proof of citizenship voting means only real Americans decide our future.
