A lot of people don't realize that I lived in Sarasota, Bradenton area.
I went to IMG Academy.
And so I have been calling my friends last couple of days, extremely concerned as soon as I saw that it was making that turn towards Tampa.
And so a lot of people have gotten out, but a lot of people are like you, cat turd, and they're not leaving their properties.
If I was on the water in a surge zone, I would leave though, but I'm not.
So that's why I don't leave.
Right.
You can't stay in a surge zone.
Oh my gosh.
If the water's going to come up in your house, you've got to go.
Well, DeSantis is saying right now, do not leave at this point.

I see all these pictures of all these places right on...
You know, a lake or a river or an inlet or a bay, and I see all them cars flood, and I'm like, these people, they had never been hit by a hurricane before we get hit.
Well, I'm up here.
Like I said, I've been in two fours and a five, and I don't know how many ones, twos, and threes in my life, but I'm like, y'all left your cars down there by the bay, one street over from a bay with a four or five coming to you with a...
I mean, talking about these places, if you've been in that area, it's just like everything's on a little inlet or a little river, and it's just like everything's on a little peninsula or island.
There's just water everywhere, and you ride over these bridges down there, and they go on for miles and miles and miles, and it's just like you're on a levee almost, a graveled levee, and you're right on the water.
It's weird.
Oh, it really is.
You have all of these keys, like you have longboat key that's shaped like a longboat, you've got bird key, you've got siesta key, you've got several keys in there, like you said, the inlets and everything.
And I've talked to several people, and most of them have left, but there are some that are still there and that have to remain in place.
Please make sure that you keep them in your prayers.
These are really good friends and family of mine, and they are absolutely getting nailed right now.
So this is catastrophic.
It's going to be a long time.

The problem is this thing is going to have a lot of rain in it, and this rain doesn't have anywhere to go in Florida.
So when you get 12 inches here and 16 inches here and 14 inches there, then the tidal surge too is saltwater.
Of course, everything saltwater touches, it ruins.
If it just gets on it, it's over.
That's right.
So, but yeah, there's going to be some deaths and people that didn't leave.
And I never leave because now I, when my house got taken, when I lived in a beach house, it wasn't my house.
I just had been renting it for like five or eight years or however long been there a long time, but it was a buddy of mine.
And, um, Yeah, I went up to Chipley, Florida then and stayed with a guy that played music.
A couple bands got together and his family had a house up there.
You know, I came back, there was nothing there.
But if I live in a non-flood zone, I know the surge ain't gonna get me.
I always stay.
I mean, I lived about 15 miles from where it hit Mexico Beach.
But anyway, it's devastating pictures and it's just starting.

A lot of places, if you get out of any major city, and I mean anywhere on these peninsulas, they don't have city water.
They don't run pipes.
All are on these levees and stuff.
So nobody hardly has...
Believe it or not, in Florida, there's a lot of...
I don't even know anybody around here.
Everybody has a well.
So you dig a well, and that's how you get your water, well water.
And, you know, if you don't, if you live in a city a long time, are you coming down here to escape Democrats?
When you have well water and electricity goes off, you don't have no water either because your pump can't run.
So all I can tell you is, and I was trying to tell some people down there that I talked to, I said, look, just take a five gallon bucket, fill up, if you've got a tub, fill it all the way to the top full of water.
And then if you've got a washing machine, just unplug it and just fill it all the way to the top with water.
And they're like, why?
I said, you want to flush your toilet?
What are you going to do?
Take a dump and just let it pop.
You might be out of electricity for a month.
There was people around here six, seven weeks after my car.
I didn't have it for almost 26 days or something.
So, you know, you better, you gotta, you gotta get that.
And, you know, when you use the bathroom, you can pour it in the back of your toilet so you can flush it.
I mean, there's just like a hundred tricks like that you gotta know or you're screwed.
Oh my gosh.
And then the generators, you know, I had a, lucky enough, I had a buddy with a 1984 Army generator on a trailer, a big old diesel, and we just wired my whole house up.
Just ran the whole, I mean, I was fine.
After a week.
It took seven days to get it here because the roads were clogged up.
It's rough, and I'm going to tell you something.
Down in South Florida, when they wake up tomorrow, it's going to be 85, 90, 95 degrees once this thing passes.
And you don't have no air conditioning in your house, and then water's in it, and everything starts getting moldy, and it's heat, and when the doors are closed, you know, it's 115 in your house, and you don't have power for days.
I'm telling you, these people, I've been through this.
I know how miserable it is and what a fight it is.
And I was thinking about, you know, I got big trailers and stuff.
I was like, how could I help them?
You can't even get down.
You can't go down in there to help.
You can't.
And get down in there.
No, it's completely out of your hands.
You know, when Katrina hit, I was in San Diego.
My family was in New Orleans at that time.
And, of course, I'm thinking, oh, you know what?
I'm going to go help them.
Well, it's not that easy.
You can't get on a plane and have some place to go.
No.
Everything completely shuts down.
And so it was two weeks, two and a half weeks, and I was really young, and I was unable to speak to my parents or communicate with them in any way.
And it was terrifying.
I was scared.
I didn't know what had happened.
There was no way to get in contact with them.
None of the phone lines worked or anything else.
It's devastating.
It stays with you.
Your life changes where you live.
You think about it, there's not a lot of stuff around here anyway, but I'm serious when Michael hit here.
I mean, it was four hours of 160 mile an hour winds, and there was just nothing left.
It looked like a bomb went off.
If you went down to Mexico Beach, not a building standing, nothing.
It was just rubble.
It looked like somebody dropped a nuclear bomb on the town, and every town was like that.
And then you wake up the next day, Your grocery store's gone.
Your bank's gone.
Your dentist is gone.
Your doctor is gone.
All the gas stations are gone.
There's nowhere to get gas.
I had to drive to Tallahassee to run my generators.
It's normally a four-hour back-and-forth trip.
It'd take me about 10 hours.
I had my whole truck just full of diesel for that generator.
I had a gas generator and ice.
I'd have to do it every three or four days for a long time, weeks.
When everything's gone, and when I mean everything, there's not a restaurant within 40 miles that didn't collapse.
There's nowhere to eat.
There's nowhere to get groceries.
It was weeks before there was anywhere around here to have even gas.
That's right.
Nowhere to buy a grocery store.
The one grocery store in town collapsed.
Just the whole thing just crushed in.
It took them seven, eight months to rebuild that thing.
oh my gosh well at least they have a fabulous governor that's all i can say yeah i mean seriously thank goodness you've got desantis who who knows exactly how to handle an emergency situation imagine if it was biden i mean i know he did he's the resident he finally talked to him but yeah no he said today that the most important thing he said this today biden the most important thing you can do when a Cap four or five hurricanes barreling down on you is to get vaxxed and boosted immediately.
Isn't that incredible?
This is Democrats.

Thank God we got a Republican governor.
This is serious life.
Lives are in danger.
This is going to be bad for these people, and they've never lived through it before.
And he's going to be on the ground.

And they're talking about vaccines and climate change.
If you had a Democrat governor, he'd give an announcement.
Yeah, this climate change, and this is why we need more funding, and I need Washington to give me $17 billion tomorrow to fight climate change so we can stop these hurricanes.
They live in fantasy land.

They solve no problems.
All they do is just scream out cliches and climate change and gender neutrality and everything else, words they make up.

What happened in the hunger event today?
The president appeared to look around the room for an audience member, a member of Congress who passed away last month.
He seemed to indicate she might be in the room.
So the president was, as you all know, you guys were watching today's event, a very important event on food insecurity.
The president was naming the congressional champions on this issue and was acknowledging her incredible work.
He had already planned to welcome the congresswoman's family to the White House on Friday.
There will be a bill signing in her honor this coming Friday.
So, of course, she was on his mind.
He said, where is she at?
For the president.
He very much looks forward to discussing her remarkable legacy of public service with them when he sees her family this coming Friday.

I have no alternative but to believe what he said.

He said everyone is talking about the big hurricane barreling into Florida as they should be, but perhaps a far more important event in the longer term was the announcement that the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines out of Russia, which I brought to the world's attention as president when I explained how crippling reliance on it could be for Germany and other parts of Europe.
Everyone laughed, everybody laughed at the time, but they are not laughing anymore, has been sabotaged.
This could lead to major escalation or war.
U.S. leadership should remain cool, calm and dry on the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines.
This is a big event that should not entail a big solution, at least not yet.
The Russia-Ukraine catastrophe should never have happened and would definitely not have happened if I were president.
Do not make matters worse with the pipeline blow up.
Be strategic.
Be smart.

Get a negotiated deal done now.

All right, so here we go.
First, the U.S. became the number one exporter of liquefied natural gas to Europe once Russia cut off the flow.
German dependence on U.S. LNG is a carrot to keep German in the sanction alliance.
With winter approaching, keep that in mind, right, and German unrest on the rise, the State Department would have had concerns the Germans would go wobbly, reduce sanctions, cut off arms to Ukraine, and beg Putin for energy.
The loss of Nord Stream pipelines eliminates that path to renewed gas imports to Germany.
Second, the Biden family has long been tangled up, as you all know, in natural gas in Ukraine.
Hunter Biden was on the board of Ukraine's largest natural gas company, a position that provided Ukrainian oglyarchs with access to Joe Biden.
Hunter, who has no experience in energy, made millions from the deal, and Ukraine got a bought-and-paid-for President of the United States.
Third, the Democrat Biden needs to staunch the popularity bleeding that threatens to kill Democrat control of Congress comes November.
So, only the U.S. has a compelling reason to destroy Europe's energy lifeline from Russia.
Only the United States has both the means and the motive.

And if somebody else did it, a smaller country, they were approved.

The technology to blow up a pipe has been here for a long, many years.
This ain't, you know, I don't know, you know, going to Mars and try, like an asteroid movie where you're shooting yourself out into space to blow up the asteroid with a nuclear bomb before it hits Earth.

This is a huge deal.
This is going to create...

And I am sure that there's going to be a response to this.

Look at these scenes.
I mean, you've got a six-foot storm surge powers through city, taking everything with it.
Hurricane Ian becomes only the fifth storm in history to hit the city.
I remember that look.
Please pray for these people.
This is so, so horrible.
Hoping everybody survives it, gets out.
Yeah, I was in the other one that was 155 miles.

This is a Category 5.
If they ever...
And they overhyped these a lot now.
I'm just telling you, it's dangerous when they do it, but they do it.
And if you see somebody, if you see a Weather Channel person And then they're out there, and they're going, and they're, you know, they're acting like they're getting blown down.
It's getting really out there.
Believe me, that's 60, 70 miles an hour.
Once it gets 100, 120, you can't stand up out there.
Believe me.
I have a breezeway that goes to my garage, and when it was 160, I could not stand up outside.
And there was so much debris blowing.
I mean, I can't even explain to you, if you've never been in wind like that, and a lot of people haven't, I can't even explain to you that if you walk outside, you will be dead in a minute because of the flying debris.
I'm talking about whole trees, limbs, just the air.
The air has a color to it.
It's like white.
Mm-hmm.
And you can't believe, and you can feel the house shaking like any second the roof's going to come up.
And so it's a crazy feeling.
And if you've never been in winds like that, but if they're out there and you see somebody with a microphone, that's not 155 mile an hour winds.
You just showed what it looks like.
That's what it looks like.
You can't see anything.
There's water flying, rain, and the raindrops.
A raindrop going 150 miles an hour.
What do you think that feels like on your skin?
It literally feels like bee stings.
And it's all this debris.
You cannot go outside, you'll die.
Oh my gosh.
So I'm just telling you, it's scary.
I don't get scared much, but I literally thought I was going to die.
I was in a closet, and I would go out and check.
I only had Pedro then, and he was in a truck.
He was inside my truck.
Inside my garage, which has the hurricane wraps on it, I think it was the safest place for him.
And, of course, he can't come in because he'll eat my cats.
And I'd go out there every now and then and walk through this little breezeway, that little opening from the garage, and I could not stand.
I got knocked down several times on my ass.
Oh, my gosh.
And I would run out there and check on him.
He was just howling.
He was scared to death.
So I'd go out there and sit with him a lot.
And I've been in a lot of hurricanes.
I was on a boat, and I told you in the lane, and that was rough.
You know, I got to 130, 120.
I was on a boat.
So I've been in some really rough hurricanes.
But that one, when it got up to like 158 or something, and it just kept coming four hours.
It's just like this when it hit, and it just would not go by.
I was talking to my friends because I lost everything.
You know, we have no power.
I got a phone.
I got...
Charge left, and I'm saying, hey, look it up on somebody.
I was talking to somebody up in Nashville.
I'm saying, look, just went, and he was talking me through it.
I said, all right, man, it looks like an hour, and then it goes by.
And then it goes by and it's just like nothing.
It's just like you're going through this hell and it goes by and it's just calm and the sun comes out.
Right.
Just like right before.
The damn sun comes out.
Exactly.
Before and after.
It's so weird and so eerie.
It's strange.
I was worried about you.
We were talking about this thing a week ago because you were planning on going to visit your mom and getting out of there and all that stuff.
But then the storm came and you were like, I'm going to stay.
Well, when you started talking about Tampa, I started going, uh-oh.
Alright, so cat turd's safe, but my friends and family are not going to be.
This is an hour from Sarasota.
This is what you're seeing.
The spaghetti miles on this, up until four days ago, just about all of them were hitting me dead in the center.
Right.
Exactly.
The European model stayed consistent the whole time and said it was going to hit the Sarasota-Tampa area.
They're the only ones that were right from the beginning and never wavered from their prediction.
Everybody else was all over the map.
So I thought it was coming here.
I thought, I'm going to have to go through this again.
I cannot believe.
And then I'm thinking of Mexico Beach, who still hasn't built back.
They just got gas stations, a couple of gas stations a year ago.
And then all the restaurants and toucans, everything blew down there, all their big bars and stuff.
And I'm just like, they just now opened the first restaurant down there finally.
And they're going to get leveled again.
I'm just thinking, this is a nightmare.
Oh, it is, too.
I mean, think about this.
Okay, it's already been confirmed that 100,000 homes have already been reported across the state.
No telling the amount of devastation this is going to have, the amount of impact this is going to have on all of these areas.
Here, there's rivers going in and some areas like that, but it's the ocean here, and as you get back 15, 20 miles off of the, of course, there's bays and stuff that people can live on, but normal areas, you can get away from that and get out of the flood zones.
Down there in that area, and I've spent a lot of time down in that, I worked on the Skyway Bridge, and I lived in Tampa for about a year.
I did some work on that.
So I'm familiar with that area.
I've been in there a lot.
I half lived in that area for a couple of years doing work, construction work.
Oh, yeah.
And I mean, it's just everything's just surrounded with water.
So this surge is going to really, really hurt them.
And then if you notice Tampa Bay, everybody's surprised that the water got sucked out at Tampa.
Remember?
You've seen the videos that say, man, it's gone.
I tried to explain this.
It's according to what side you're on.
If, you know, the thing, the way the thing rotates, you know, if it hits you and you're on the east side, If you're on the east side of it, you're going to get that storm surge you're seeing on our broadcast viewer right there.
It's going to come and it's going to blow everything in.
That's the danger side.
If you're lucky enough for it to go to the right of you or to go to the east of you and you're on the west of it, then it hits land.
It has to go way around.
It's dying, dying, getting slower because it's on land.
Then it blows the water out.
I remember I explained that back on the show.
Then it's actually blowing the other way.
It's blowing towards the ocean because of the big circles coming around and it's blowing the water out so you don't get that surge.
I said on the show the other day, I'd rather be 10 miles to the west of one than 100 miles the other way.
Oh, this is frightening.
I play tennis at IMG Academy.
That's right next to Sarasota.
It's Bradenton, Sarasota.
And so all my friends are there.
A lot of family members are there still.
They were talking about it.
A lot of them left, but a lot of them are still there.
So You'd have to leave that area.
And the couple that has Padrina and Fatty live right in that area, too.
And they went north of Tampa to escape at their mom's.
So I'm afraid they're going to be devastated when they get back.
I don't know.
Exactly.
I mean, that's the thing.
They're telling everyone it is too late to leave.
And if you're still on the roads to get to a safe place as soon as possible.
If you're on the road.
Man, it's just them scenes are bad.
I pray for everybody down there.
And it sucks because they've never had a major hurricane in a hundred years there.
So they just, you know, everything, like when you live in an area like mine and it gets constantly hit, they come up with all these rules that if you build back, I mean, you wouldn't believe what you got to do to build.
They have these pile drivers that drive these pylons in houses if you live near the beach now.
I mean, they shoot these things down 50 feet, and they'll stand 200-mile-an-hour force winds, but they're grandfathered in.
All the old houses are grandfathered in, so when you have a place like this that's never been hit and damaged by one in 100 years, you still have all them old houses that are just built rickety-tick, 60s and 50s style.
So it's really going to have a devastation with all these lakes, canals, and everybody that's on the east side of this storm, if you're looking at the TV to the right of it, and you're getting that updraft of a hurricane like this, I mean, you're seeing the pictures.
Yes.
And you see them pictures?
Look at that.
You think you can walk out in that?
I cannot.
When you see these people on Weather Channel out there talking, they're somewhere...
In a 50 mile an hour wind or 60, acting like it's blowing.
But you see anybody out there in that picture?
Believe me, you cannot go, if it's 150 miles an hour and you've got everything that floats up, just like a tornado, you've got all this debris in the wind and the rain.
And the raindrops, like I said, they feel like bee stings.
They'll leave whelps on you when they go.
A raindrop going 150 miles an hour.
Just think about it.
I mean.
It is.
Think about getting in a car and it's soaking wet, and if you could even go 150 miles an hour and stick your arm out of the window, what do you think them raindrops are going to do to your arm?
Well, exactly, but I mean, here's just some of the examples.
Vehicles were flipped on their roofs after two tornadoes erupted across the state due to the hurricane.
Another thing.
Hundreds of thousands of homes across the southwest of Florida were devastated by surging floodwater.
These tornadoes, you can hear them.
If you're on the bad side, that's another thing.
If you're on the bad side, if you're on the east side of it, And that's where all the tornadoes are spawned too.
You can go in 20 or 30 miles always.
20, 30, 40, 50, even 100, 150 miles away.
If you're in that east side and you're on what I call the bad side, that's where all the tornadoes spawn.
So Sarasota, I mean, Tampa's probably going to be okay.
The flooding might get them and they still might flood out.
But you could see, people were so surprised when the bay was going out, and they were like, the bay's gone!
And I said, I told you.
Exactly.
Look at these homes already.
I mean, this is Naples in Florida has been completely submerged by flood water as the coastal town continues to be battered by Hurricane Ian.
And them houses are ruined.
You can't fix them.
If it's salt water...
It's over.
It's gone.
It's just going to mold.
I mean, you can tear them down if they stand to the frame, and you'll have to, you know, to the frames, to the studs.
You can tear them down there and rebuild.
But, you know, when you build, you know, you don't have pressure-treated lumber.
The only thing you're required is to have pressure-treated lumber right where you do the pads.
So when you do a concrete pad for a house or whatever they do, And you have one picture of tree or board that goes around the whole frame.
And then, you know, it just ruins everything.
This salt water, I'm telling you, it's like acid.
Yes.
It'll ruin everything it touches.
Completely.
Everything will rust.
They're already having stories.
A man raced into the sea to rescue a cat from the raging water with him hoisting it to safety on his shoulder.
Trees were ripped from their roots in multiple locations.
And power lines were torn from sidewalks.
Emergency service personnel paused operations as the eye of the storm descended on the southwest.
You notice some palm trees never fall down?
Yes.
You cannot blow a palm tree.
I don't give a damn if it's 400 miles an hour.
You cannot blow a palm tree down.
They're like made of rubber.
I have like 12 palm trees on my property.
And they were, I mean, think about it.
150-year-old Huge oaks just dropping like twigs and then palm trees.
Just nothing.
Not one even thought about blowing down.
I mean, they're blowing, but look at this.
They're standing straight up.
Not even an issue.
They're made for it.
Oh, my gosh.
Well, please.
Yeah, these look terrible.
I knew this was going to happen, and I'm just like, oh, look at that.
There's a roof.
And that's gone, you know?
I mean, it's a total loss.
And it's not...
That's what my whole property looked like right there.
Right here.
But it's not...
Yeah, this is not something...
This is not something you just recover from.
My area is still recovering.
It's been four years, October the 10th.
And they're still recovering around here.
You can still drive out in the country.
And they have all these places where the paper mill own it.
And they have these...
A pine tree always breaks in half.
An oak tree always comes up by the roots.
And you can just see thousands of them still broken in half.
It's just never the same.
Look at all these.
These are all the utility trucks.
Man, they're ready.
In a rural lot in the villages of Sumter County, Florida.
My God.
In a move to protect the vehicles from the high winds.
Now think about they want you to go electric.
Think about this, but you couldn't even get out.
How are you going to charge in water?
Are you going to electrocute yourself?
Think about all them having to be electric to come help you right now, to save your life, to get power on back to your family, and all them are electric.
It's a joke, people.
It is a joke.

And then it took me to clean up my property because the tree damage, you don't get no insurance money for no tree damage.
You might get $5,000 or something, but I had $80,000, $100,000 worth if a tree service come does it.
It took me with a tractor and this and doing this myself probably about 16 months to clear my property completely of just busting my butt every time I was home from work.
I mean, on a tractor with chains and chainsaw.
I became so good with a chainsaw.
It was amazing.
I mean, I've...

But I've become like an ice carver with one after 16 months.

I had one tree that broke in half, which is rare for...
