Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney responded to President Trump's announcement about new U.S. tariffs, saying Canada will act with purpose and with force to fight new U.S. tariffs.
President Donald Trump imposed a new 25% tariff on foreign-made cars, but spared Canada from the 10% reciprocal tariffs applied to many other countries.
The Canadian Prime Minister spoke from Parliament Hill.

So, President Trump has just announced a series of measures that are going to fundamentally change the international trading system.
Now, in doing so, he has preserved a number of important elements of our relationship, the commercial relationship between Canada and the United States.
