A tremendous update, an unbelievable update in the Josh Kruger case.
Now, you guys, just to jog your memory briefly, we covered this last week.
Josh Kruger was the tireless LGBTQ advocate, a self-proclaimed gay man himself, an HIV-positive man, who spent a lot of time advocating for policy reform for drug addicts.
Who was then murdered in his home at the base of a staircase.
Josh Kruger was shot seven times in his Philadelphia home.
Plus, later on in the show, you're not going to believe it, guys.
I have an update for you as it pertains to Carly Russell, the greatest case that's ever happened in the history of cases that have ever happened in the history of cases that actually never happened in the United States of America.
All that and more today coming up on Candace Owens.
Huge cultural debate that has been waging today, obviously.
You know what I'm talking about? Transgenderism, sexual identity, talking about these topics with children, probably I would say, is the biggest portion of that debate that we just cannot seem to agree on in American society.
On the one hand, you have people that tend to be left-leaning, that believe it's very important for young children to learn about different genders, to learn about their identity.
You have a lot of people in the LGBTQ community that say it's important because they were confused when they were children and they needed guidance.
And so they want to hand that over to teachers in the school system, you know, to give people,
young gay people, young confused people, a chance to talk to somebody outside of their
home about their gender issues.
On the other side of the debate, you have people on the right who are concerned about
the idea of adults speaking to children about their identity.
Of course, this then naturally leads to a discussion about whether or not people should
be put on puberty blockers, you're talking about people's genitals being confused about
whether or not they were born in the right body.
People on the right say that's just not an appropriate conversation to have with children.
Now why am I bringing up this factual debate?
Well, because factually, one person who entered into it was somebody named Josh Kruger.
Again, like I told you at the top of the show, he was a tireless advocate for LGBTQ causes.
And he hated the idea of the far right dementing that conversation, you know, talking about sexual identity in terms of gay people and confusing it with pedophilia.
Something that he spoke out against on his Twitter feed as just one place where he aired his frustration.
Here's a tweet from Josh Kruger.
The centuries-old smear that gay men are pedophiles is getting new life thanks to coordination between far-right news sites and far-right message boards.
This egregious defamation is part of a strategy to target LGBTQ people with violence.
This is going to get interesting.
I will tell you that is a tweet that is not going to age well.
Well, here is something else that Josh Krueger tweeted regarding the matter.
People are now using gays as a scapegoat for sexual abuse, saying homosexual amorality is responsible.
Nope, the lie that gay men are all pedophiles or pederasts is one of the most vile, literally dangerous slurs
homophobes use.
It was a lie 100 years ago, and it's a lie today.
And as a final tweet, he wrote, So the Democrats don't do that generally.
It's more of a Republican thing.
Okay, so you get what he's saying.
You get the gist of what he is saying.
He's saying that it is egregious, it is completely wrong for people to associate pedophile with being gay, lesbian, or other, that entire category.
And he is pointing the finger at Republicans and conservatives and people that are on the far right, essentially, for spreading these sorts of smears, which he views as dangerous.
Okay. So you are going to find this update to be stunning in the matter of Josh Kruger, who, as I said at the top of the show, also was an advocate for drug reform.
He wanted to make sure policies were enacted that protected drug addicts because he, at least according to him, was a former drug addict.
And so he understood that those people needed second chances.
They didn't need to have the book thrown at them.
This was the sort of work that he was doing in Philadelphia.
The update that I have for you today is that the person who shot Josh Kruger seven times
has not yet been apprehended, but the suspect has been named, and it is a man named Robert
Davis who is being accused of killing the journalist.
Although they have not yet apprehended Robert Davis, who, by the way, is just 19 years old.
I am showing you a photo of him right here from a prior mugshot of his.
Robert Davis' family is speaking out, and they are speaking out against Josh Krueger.
They allege that their son, Robert Davis, was being blackmailed by Josh Krueger.
Again, Josh Krueger was 39 years old over sex videos.
They also allege that the two were in a relationship.
I'm going to tell you the facts according to, because obviously I have to be very careful
in what you say here.
YouTube has policy, I can get in trouble.
So I'm just going to give you the facts of what Robert Davis' family is saying.
Not going to give my own opinion on the circumstance, because as I said, that's not allowed here.
The family alleges that Robert Davis was just 15 years old when he and Kruger began a years-long relationship that involved drugs.
So 15 years of age would mean that he was not of age to begin a sexual relationship, a consensual sexual relationship with Josh Kruger.
They allege that Davis told them that Kruger was threatening to post sexually explicit videos of him online before Davis shot Kruger.
Those assertions came, just to be clear, from Davis' mother and Davis' older brother in recent interviews to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The family says that they watched Davis' life unravel for years as he tried to keep the relationship that he was having with Josh Kruger a secret, as well as his drug addiction a secret.
Separately, the detectives in this case have discovered and are investigating what multiple law enforcement sources have called explicit photos and messages in Kruger's phone.
The sources who request an anonymity to discuss the ongoing investigation did not say whether or not the images and the messages were connected to Davis himself, the shooter, but they do say that they were disturbing, that they had been turned over to the department's special victims unit for further analysis.
So... I don't know what we can conclude from that.
The detectives are saying that the images were disturbing and that they had to hand it over to the Special Victims Unit for further analysis.
Maybe that could or could not add some credence to the claim that Robert Davis' family is making.
Again, I'm just going to tell you what is being reported in the news and not add any further commentary.
Robert Davis' mother, by the way, is named Damika Davis.
She says that her son called her on Friday just hours after the Philadelphia police burst
into her home looking for him, and she has urged him to turn himself over.
He frantically has been trying to explain himself why he shot this man, but had came
short of fully admitting to the crime.
Her quote is that her son was scared.
He said, he wanted me to do some stuff and I didn't want to do it.
And if I didn't do it, he said that he was going to blackmail me.
So again, this is her 19 year old son who was alleging that Josh Kruger was blackmailing
him into doing certain things and that perhaps that is the reason why he frantically committed
this crime against Josh Kruger.
But again, the police say we won't have further answers until this suspect, Robert Davis,
is apprehended.
Demica also says that her son faced mental health issues from a young age.
He struggled to control his anger in school, partially because of the absence of his biological father in his life.
He often got into fights, and when he was about 15, his troubles intensified after he
started sneaking out in the middle of the night and coming home high on drugs.
He told his mother that he was seeing an older white woman that he met online who quote-unquote
worked for the government.
But the family frequently saw the name Josh pop up in messages on his phone.
When they asked him who Josh was, he told them that it was this older woman's brother
who was gay.
It was only later in her call with him that she recently had on Friday that he told him
that Josh told his mother that actually he had been seeing Josh Krueger all along, and
obviously also alleges that Josh Krueger was blackmailing him with drugs.
Images. Damika Davis said, We're good to go.
From there, Robert Davis' drug use escalated.
He struggled to hold a job and sometimes scrapped spare parts and medals.
He was arrested in August and charged with trespassing after police say he broke into a building at the Navy Yard and was acting erratically.
The charges were eventually dropped after the security guard who witnessed the incident failed to appear in court.
Now, as a reminder, Kruger had been very open about his past struggles with crystal meth and using intravenous drugs.
It was a part of his platform, saying that he relied on sex work, his religion, and the kindness of others to survive.
He saw a lot of trauma.
And he would describe to his friends, who by the way, led the police to Robert Davis,
that he was mentoring this young kid, that he was helping this young kid,
that Robert Davis was somebody that he was taking under his wing
to help provide him with a better life.
So that is a remarkable update in this case.
It is a stunning example of people that portray themselves as one thing publicly
and then privately conduct themselves in another manner.
I can also provide you with the updates that the police have found drugs in Josh Kruger's home,
despite the fact that he claimed to have been a former drug addict.
Now again, who knows what he was doing with those drugs.
Maybe he wasn't doing anything with them.
Maybe they were just sitting in his apartment.
We can only allege that perhaps he was using those drugs.
We can allege that perhaps he was selling those drugs.
But this story has definitely taken a dark turn.
I think what we can say definitively here is that at the very least...
The conclusion of this story is definitely going to impact that cultural debate that we are having about why it is that the LGBTQ community is interested in furthering the discussion on sexual identity and children.
And that's all I have to say about that.

♪♪ Carly Russell, you guys.
Finally, I can cover her again.
Carly Russell, my life, the air that I breathe.
She's back in the news.
I think about her at least once a day.
When I'm putting my kids to bed, I just think, where was Carly Russell during those 48 hours when she went missing?
Now, to jog your memory about Carly Russell, obviously, if you watch this show, you know everything about her.
I was the Nancy Grace of the Carly Russell story.
She was the 25-year-old Alabama young woman who just hoaxed us, hoaxed all of America, went missing, snatched her own wig on the side of the road, called the cops and said that she saw a little toddler walking like Tommy Pickles.
In a shirt and a pamper, and then she just disappeared.
And so the whole world was looking for her, and then it turned out that she disappeared herself.
Let me jog your memory with the 911 call that Carly Russell herself initiated on the side of the road.
Take a listen. Hi, I am on Interstate 459, and there is a kid just walking by their cell.
Oh, hold on. Hold on.
Where on 459 are you?
Um... I'm right next to the exit 10 by the Hoover Met, like to get off by the Hoover Met.
Okay, so you're before that exit?
Yes. Okay, and were you headed southbound or northbound?
Like toward Tuscaloosa or toward 280?
Toward Tuscaloosa.
Okay, and was the child on the left or right side?
On the right side.
Were they walking northbound or southbound?
So you get it. Carly Russell saw a naked baby on the side of the road.
She pulled over to help this baby.
And then what transpired next was essentially her Mercedes was found.
It was with the blinkers still on.
Her wig was on the side of the road.
Her phone was still there.
Her purse was still there.
And Carly Russell, we assume, disappeared in the woods.
Then she reappeared two days later on foot at her parents' home, at her parents' residence.
And she had some cash in her sock, which is weird that her abductors didn't take the cash, but they were interested in just having a fun time with her.
Then she told the police a story, which was very sad.
It was a man with orange hair who took her.
We took her into a truck, I believe.
It was a truck at the time.
And he had a woman with her.
The story ended with a woman playing with her hair and feeding her Cheetos or feeding her Cheez-Its.
And Carly was lucky to have somehow escaped on foot after being fed these Cheez-Its and having her hair played with.
So disrespectful.
Her real hair, by the way, because remember the wig was on the side of the road.
Unbelievable. And people started asking questions about whether it was real.
I was one of those people I got shouted at because how dare you not believe what black women go through and experience on a day-to-day basis?
Carly Russell was not telling the truth.
Actually, it ended up to be a hoax.
Perhaps people are alleging because she wanted to get back at her ex-boyfriend who was cheating on her with a stripper.
It got very love and hip-hop.
I stopped following that portion.
But I did not stop following and thinking about the fact that America deserves answers.
Where was Carly Russell for those 48 hours that she was missing if she was not with a bad
orange haired man in the woods being fed cheese? That's where was she? We still don't know and
that's why I think about it every single day. But here is the update that I can give you
in the Carly Russell story. Shockingly, despite her parents first doing the rounds saying that
it did happen and then kind of having to retract their statements in the media because it didn't
happen, Carly Russell entered in a plea of not guilty when she was charged with two misdemeanor
charges of lying to the cops about seeing a child on the highway and being abducted. Stunningly,
she pled not guilty to this. I guess maybe there is still a toddler at large, but of course they
came back and they found her guilty. That's the update of faking her disappearance and wasting
police time. She is being fined $18,000 and also a judge is suggesting that she spend one year
behind bars.
Now, I want to be very clear.
If Carly Russell goes to prison for one year, I will be on the visitor logs.
I will be seeing her probably daily.
I'll probably at least see her once a week because I feel attached to Carly.
Carly feels like she's my cousin, you know, the way that I've been covering the story.
So, Carly, I want you to know that if they put you behind bars for one year, I am going to visit you and I am going to bring you things.
I will bring you candy because I need to talk to you.
I need to understand where you were 40 hours.
I will give you anything. Please come on this show.
We are begging. I will...
Pay the $18,000 fine if you sit down with me and give me a one-on-one on where you were for the 48 hours.
I mean that. Take it to the bank, Carly Russell.
$18,000 a bank account.
Just talk to me on this show about where the heck you were for 48 hours.
America deserves to know.
Well, you guys, I think it's fair.
I think absolutely people that would do something like this, this horrendous, having the entire nation, the FBI, the amount of political and financial resources that were used, having the FBI get involved, everybody in the world tweeting looking for her to return home, only discover that she just was playing a game because she
was upset with her ex-boyfriend.
Absolutely ridiculous.
You know, she's got to spend a little bit of time in prison.
We will continue to update you on that story as well as whether or not Carly Russell, my
new cousin, hits me back and lets me pay that 18K for her so that she comes on the show.
Would be amazing.
We would break the internet, Carly Russell.
Let's break the internet, Carly Russell.
Speaking of people that want to break the internet, well, one manner, of course, is always to be exceptionally pornographic.
I talk about pornography on this show a lot.
And really, I talk about the desensitization that we've had to pornography.
It's all around us.
It's people in ads, holding a Gucci bag, half naked.
Why? Why do we need soft pornography?
Core porn in order to convince me to buy this purse.
And we don't react to that anymore.
And I gave you guys an example in the past of something that has been very disturbing to me, it's a trend that I see that's happening, which is incest.
Incest being used to sell products.
I gave you the example of the Kardashians who I believe are the genesis of this trend.
The sisters suddenly pose with their crotches together trying to sell you a lipstick.
I mean, what is that?
And I've talked about how I think inevitably we are going to be having a conversation with people that want to make pedophilia okay.
It is creepy. Never in a million years would I ever pose or be anywhere near my sister's crotch.
It's disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.
And yet somehow, for whatever reason, you say, well, that's just the Kardashians.
They're overtly sexual, so it's totally fine to see this on my Instagram.
No, you are seeing incest that is being used, an incestuous relationship that is being implied and used to then sell a product.
Well, other people are getting in on this.
We talked about Heidi Klum in the past who did a lingerie ad with her daughter right when she turned 18.
Completely unnecessary. Well, Denise Richards, you remember her?
She was formerly with Charlie Sheen.
Charlie Sheen and her had a child named Sammy Sheen.
And both of them are now on OnlyFans.
And now they're talking about doing a collaboration.
This is a question that Denise Richards sent out to her audience.
Should my mini-me, Sammy Sheen and I, do another collaboration soon?
Oh, a collaboration.
A mommy and daughter collaboration on OnlyFans, an overtly sexual site, which Denise is garnering a lot of money from.
And she has been very supportive of her daughter's career on OnlyFans.
Her daughter has come right out and said, It's Charlie Sheen.
So the question is, what chance did this young woman have in life?
She has a mom that is on OnlyFans, a mom who has allegedly had a lesbian affair while she has been on a Real Housewives franchise.
This is being alleged by the person she had the affair with, allegedly, Brandi Glanville.
And she also had a father who gave us some of the most legendary clips ever as a drug addict.
Just jogging your memory, here is Charlie Sheen on Good Morning America back in 2011.
Take a listen. Tell me about the last time you took drugs.
The last time I took drugs, I probably took more than anybody could survive, you know?
What are we talking about? How much?
I don't know, man. I was banging seven-gram rocks and finishing them because that's how I roll.
I have one speed. I have one gear.
Go! How do you survive that?
Because I'm me. I'm sorry to laugh at that.
Nobody should laugh at that. But, like, he's given us a lot.
He said he had tiger blood.
This is how he survived this drug addiction, because he's him.
And Charlie Sheen was really on one for a while back in 2011.
I hope he has since calmed down.
But I'm just using that interview to point to the fact that we can't be absolutely shocked that Sammy Sheen has turned out this way when she has unfortunately come from a completely unstable family.
Going back to the importance of families, really just kind of being a theme on this show over and over again, talking about what happens when people don't have two stable parents to raise them.
Well, unfortunately, this is the circumstance.
And pay attention to this because it's happening more and more in the media.
People pretend that it's okay.
They run headlines.
They say it's absolutely fine if a mom and a daughter want to wear lingerie next to each other.
This is already the desensitizing of incest that is happening right now in America today, which, you know, Unfortunately, as a predilection that I have, that is turning out to be correct.
All right, guys, I do want to jump into this next story.
I saw this clip circulating.
To be clear, this clip is old, but I think it's something that is worth talking about.
It is rapper Jay-Z talking, I think hypothetically, people took it literally, about why he refused to give his cousin a loan for $4,800.
Take a listen to Jay-Z being interviewed by Kevin Hart.
You have cousins. You got to go home for Thanksgiving and people are talking to you like Kevin Hart.
And you going home for solace.
You a family. You going home for peace of mind.
You going home for peace of mind.
And they don't give you that because you're not.
You're not. The cousins in your grandma's living room saying, yo, man, I got this, uh...
I got this play. If you just give me, you know what I mean?
$4,800, I could make you $2 million.
You're like, it don't work like that, man.
You gotta explain to him, like, life isn't like that.
Money isn't free, and no one's given an opportunity.
If it sounds too good to be true, and then he's like, oh, you don't believe in my dreams.
So this sparked an online debate, and it's an online debate that keeps coming up.
I saw this circulating on Facebook yesterday of, oh my gosh, Jay-Z is a billionaire, and he just wouldn't give his cousin $4,800?
That's unbelievable. Why wouldn't he give his cousin $4,800?
I want to be clear. I love hearing Jay-Z talk like this, and I have been very clear in the past that I was a huge Jay-Z fan growing up, that I listened to his music because a lot of it was a blueprint to success.
In many ways, a lot of my thoughts, believe it or not, were mentored by Jay-Z. And then I completely turned against him because I felt like he turned against his own music.
He turned against the things that he was saying when he was out there advocating for Democrat causes and trying to convince Black people of their own victimhood.
I mean, he was the number one anti-vict if you listen to his music, constantly talking about how he could get ahead and all he had to do was be the smartest person in the room, you know, advocating for people to understand business.
So it's refreshing for me to hear him in this clip because it makes me almost nostalgic for the Jay-Z that I knew and loved growing up or the Jay-Z that I believed that I knew and loved growing up through his music because what he is talking about is so real.
The concept, and again, I think he's speaking hypothetically and people are taking him literally, that when somebody finds success, that other people should then be able to really just hustle them.
The concept that, give me $4,800 and I'll make you $2 million.
No, that literally is not how life works.
And this is a circumstance that comes up over and over again for people that find success and then they're considered to be cheap or not helpful because why wouldn't you just give that person the money?
Because the person is not being authentic.
They're asking you for cash because they don't actually want to work, right?
And what I have found over and over again in various circumstances, whether it's old friends or whether it's family members and they ask you for help, is that they somehow believe that you got to the place that you got into your life For free.
Like somebody just helped you and gave you a career when in fact there's no steps that are being missed.
People are working hard. There are sacrifices that I have had to make tremendous sacrifices in my life to get to where I am, you know, not going on.
I didn't even go on my own honeymoon because I had work.
I literally did not go on a honeymoon because I had work.
And it was hard to say no to every party, every weekend, everybody's having fun at the bar,
every trip that the friends were planning and everybody's going away for a weekend,
every bachelorette party.
It was hard to say no to those things, but I understood that they were sacrifices
And so when the tables get flipped and people that have not made those sacrifices come to you and say, well, can I have a check?
Can I have some money? Why is it that people believe that they should be able to access free money without actually having to work hard themselves?
It's a big question. I wanted to bring that clip because I wanted to hear other people debate it.
Yes, I understand he is a billionaire.
He could literally just give every single person in his family money.
But how would that help them?
How would making them think that money is free actually help them?
It's different, I guess, when you're talking about taking care of your grandparents or taking care of your parents in their times of need.
But what I have found is that the people that act in the capacity of vultures are the people that want to enjoy their life the most, who want to make no sacrifices, who want to not work at all, who want life to be handed to them for free, that are the ones that will always come to you with their hands out.
And for me, the answer is always no.
If you want work, if you want an opportunity, I'm here to provide it.
But if you just want somebody to hand you cash, I can't help you with that.

Okay, now it's time to read some of your comments on episodes past.
Very quickly, we'll go through what you guys had to say about Will and Jada.
I mean, such a relevant cultural topic because it pertains to Hollywood and the idea that they've been faking their marriage for seven years.
They're legally married.
They're living a separate life, as Jada is coming out and saying.
It should sicken you all.
Actually, it should make you happy because it means you are a better person than they are, despite Hollywood trying to convince you that you should follow them because they're trendy.
Derek writes, Nothing upsets and angers Jada Pinkett Smith more than getting accused of something she definitely did.
Very true. Heartstrings writes, This is the saddest thing I have seen in a while.
Her laughing while sitting across from her very pained husband was torturous.
How in the world can their children be unaffected by this?
Praying they find God and find their way in life.
It seems she never loved him.
And newsflash, Will, you deserve genuine love like anyone else.
His childhood trauma has kept him in this dysfunctional relationship.
I pray he finds happiness.
You know, I don't really think that he's a victim in this either.
I think to allow this sort of thing to—we have this idea that there has to be a victim and there has to be a villain.
And I think in this circumstance, actually, there's two villains.
You know, at the time that you decide to have a child and to raise a family, it's time for you to become a man, right?
And Will Smith is failing as a man in this regard.
So I don't cut him any slack Victorious Catholic rights is Jada a pathological liar. How
could they pretend to be married in the public effortlessly?
They do not want to split their assets by not divorcing They do not know what marriage is allowing others to bed
your spouse how disgusting I so agree with you Word for word there. Word for word there because it is effortless for them in public.
They hold hands. They kiss.
They're next to each other.
How do you publicly lie?
How do you live a lie like this for seven years?
And then try to To introduce the public to a lie and pretend that it's normal or that it's progressive or that it's actually healthy, it's incredibly disturbing.
And I think actually this probably happens a lot more than we think in Hollywood.
Just grow the hell up, writes.
There is such sadness in his eyes.
As a target of a narcissistic mother, I recognize in him someone who doesn't even know who he is anymore.
That's what narcs do to you.
I blame her far more than him.
He is both her puppet and punching bag, figuratively at least.
Maybe if he breaks free from her, there is still some hope, but she will have done irreparable damage.
I, for one, wish him well.
Again, I wonder with Will Smith, now that when you see these clips circulating, how much of it is acting.
You have to remember, Will Smith is an incredible actor.
He's been acting his entire life.
So when he seems sad or when he seems mad, all of it really can just be an act.
And I think that he's just grown used and accustomed to lying for the years.
And we don't know what's in his closet, right?
They were both lying for seven years.
Who was he with for the last seven years?
We know Jada had an affair because she wanted to discuss it.
We don't know about Will Smith's affairs.
So I, again, do not hold a candle for him in any way.
All right, guys. Unfortunately, that is all the time that we have for today.
I'm going to remind you that my 10-part series, Convicting a Murderer, is available now.
And guess what? It's Thursday, so that means Episode 8 is premiering today.
And of course, as always, we have a little teaser for you.
Take a listen. Coming up on Convicting a Murderer.
Brendan Dassey had confessed to burning Theresa Hallback's clothing, but you don't see anything about her clothing or the jean rivets in making a murderer.
He told me to go throw it on the fire.
Throw what on the fire? The clothes.
And it's not the only detail that they left out.
Other items were found in the burn area.
One of them was Theresa's tooth.
Her ashes, her bone fragments, were found in his backyard.
And what do you do once she's on the fire?
We threw some tires on top of her and some branches.
Also left out are the tools that were found around the pit.
There was a shovel. There was a rake.
We try to take the shovel and try to break the bones apart.
You know why you don't know about that one?
Because they didn't want you to know that.
Yeah, because they were showing us dogs.
Life in prison he's going to get.
And he's only 16.
