Time Text
Happy Wednesday, everybody. Here's the thing.
If somebody says, don't tread on me, maybe you shouldn't be treading on them.
At least that seems to be the circumstance in the story for a young, adorable kid named Jaden, a Colorado middle schooler, who was kicked out of class for having a don't tread on me flag on his backpack because his teachers claimed That it was tied to slavery.
Somebody filed an anonymous complaint.
You guys are going to love this story.
If you're in a bad mood, you're watching the right show.
Because as I said, this kid is absolutely adorable and we are covering happy news until later on in the show when we get to Prince Harry.
He's back and you are not going to believe this, guys.
He's upset. This time he's whining about the lack of support that he got from the system when he came back from Afghanistan.
I wish I was making this up.
up. I'm not all that and more today coming up on Candace Owens.
So as I said, his name is Jaden.
He is a middle schooler in Colorado, Colorado Springs, and he decided to wear on his backpack a don't tread on me patch.
A teacher anonymously reported him, and then of course the administration got involved and explained to him and his mom that actually his patch, it means slavery.
Take a listen to that conversation.
Do they know what the Gadsden flag is?
It's a historical flag.
So the reason that they do not want the flag, the reason we do not want the flag to sleep is due to its origins with slavery and slave trade.
That is what was, that's the reasoning behind them to not be the slave.
The Gadsden flag.
The don't tread on me.
Yeah, it has nothing to do with slavery.
That's like the revolutionary war patch that was enslaved when they were fighting the British.
Like, that wasn't, that's the revolution.
Maybe you're thinking of, like, the Confederate flag?
Okay. Yeah. And, I mean, we teach them to always stick up for your beliefs.
And, I mean, you're going over the revolution for seventh grade.
I mean, the Founding Fathers stood up for what they believed in against unjust laws.
This is unjust. So many things that we should slow down to unpack in that clip.
First and foremost, how adorable is that kid?
His little outfit, his oversized backpack, he's got his hair combed over.
This just looks like a kid that should not be messed with.
You know, he looks like he's going to be a future business leader in this country.
Then you've got an incredibly supportive mother.
And I talk about this all the time because moms reach out to me.
How can I help? What should I do?
The school is doing this.
They're saying that this woman is an example of bravery.
She is exactly what all parents should be.
She is completely honed in.
We teach him to stand up for his rights, and we are standing by our kid.
I say that's exactly what children need today.
They need strong parents who know the rules, who know the regulations.
Later on in the clip, the mother goes on to say that she researched the ACLU website,
and that they say that it's totally fine, that this has nothing to do with slavery.
And then, of course, I have to remark on the absolute stupidity of this administrator,
or school director, whatever she is, when she just is like, that's our policy.
Our policy is that it's related to slavery.
What?
And the mom's kind of like, okay, but it's factually not.
So you can't just have a policy that if we say it means slavery, it does.
Hey, by the way, is this a school?
Shouldn't you know more about this than me?
Aren't you? You should be teaching history or something going on in this.
Can we grab a history teacher real quick?
Are you making this up as you go along?
Where did you get this idea?
We're going to find out where she got this idea later on in the show.
But I also want to show you this photo because it's incredible because this kid went out
into the parking lot and found what I presume to be either just an employee or an actual
teacher's car that has a ton of bumpers on it.
It looks like it's got more bumpers than his backpack has stickers.
And here is what some of those stickers on the back of bumpers on the back of this car
say.
One says, make America green again.
No question this person is an eco warrior.
Another one says, I'd rather be slowly consumed by moss.
We get it.
You are supporting the Green New Deal.
But look at that one in the left corner there.
Just right, actually kind of left middle.
It says, don't mess with trans kids.
It's just so special.
He can't have a don't tread on me on his backpack.
But the teachers can roll up with don't mess with trans kids on the back of their cars.
That doesn't seem fair.
Doesn't seem fair at all.
Like I said, because Jaden was supported by his parents because his parents were educated more than the educators in this circumstance.
This story has gone viral and it even wound up with him appearing on Ben Shapiro's show earlier this morning.
And I'm just going to let you see this interview.
I am going to put some viewer discretion on this because when I say this kid is strangely adorable, he is strangely adorable.
So prepare to be smiling for absolutely no reason.
Take a look. How did this go down?
Okay, so they were having a problem with my patches.
Originally, a teacher complained they're keeping the identity of that teacher.
They're not telling me the identity of it.
And she complained to the administration and they said I had to take it off or no, I could not go back to class, which is crazy.
And I'm like, why?
It's a... It's the American symbol.
That was crazy. And so I just missed out on a ridiculous amount of class, all because of a Gadsden flag.
They said it was associated with slavery.
No, it was a warning to the British not to tread on our rights.
So let's talk.
First of all, it seems like you may not need to go to class.
You might know more than your teachers.
It seems like that might be a real possibility at this point, considering a teacher reported you saying something completely wrong.
So we've all seen now the viral video of you and your mom talking to the administration about all this.
What was going through your head while you were hearing the administration explain why it was so terrible for you to be wearing a patch with the Gadsden flag on it?
I was trying not to laugh because they don't know what they're talking about at all.
It's a revolutionary flag.
It has nothing to do with slavery.
I mean, Christopher Gadsden, I'm sure he owns slaves, but just because he owns slaves, it was meant a warning sign not to tread on our rights in the revolution, which is funny because they tried to tread on my rights and then they found out that you're not...
So you now have the support of people up to and including the governor of Colorado who has said that this is all idiotic.
But how do your friends react to all of this?
So I see that you're running for office in school council.
How's that run going, first of all?
It must be upsetting that the deep state at your school is apparently out to get you by targeting you.
And so how are your friends reacting to all of this?
Well, yesterday they didn't know that it went viral because you're not.
But now, like, kids are proposing to put Gadsman flag on their locker.
I'm sure to win it by a landslide.
My friends said that people were texting her screenshots of that post and, like, saying, OMG, our school is going viral.
6.8 million views is crazy.
So, yeah, I'm definitely Mr.
Popular at my school.
I mean, I tried to warn you, it's painfully adorable.
I laughed and smiled watching this entire interview.
You should watch the rest of it over on The Ben Shapiro Show.
But this kid is a living legend.
Like I said, he is obviously going to be very successful.
He's calm, he's collected, and he's poised because he understands what his rights are.
He understands what the facts are.
So let's actually explore some of the facts regarding the Gadsden flag, which apparently
some people in this country think is somehow related to slavery, when in fact it's related
to the Revolutionary War.
These facts come from the Charleston Museum.
Named after its designer, Christopher Gadsden, an American politician who was the principal
leader of the South Carolina Patriot Movement during the American Revolution, not the Civil
War, it presented this pattern in 1775, first to Commodore Esaac Hopkins, commander of the
brand new United States Navy established by General George Washington.
Later, Gadsden presented a second flag of the same design to South Carolina's state
Congress upon their February 1776 convening in Charleston.
As for the underlying slogan, don't tread on me, this passage utilized by Gadsden reflects
the rattlesnake's general demeanor, a fairly docile animal until threatened or provoked,
a behavior that easily mimics those of liberty-minded Americans of the day.
Yes, don't tread on us.
I'm going to be peaceful. I just want to live my life.
I want to live my land. I want to feed my children.
When you start treading on our rights, we will say something and we will do something, and that is why you are seeing don't tread on me flags.
She might be wondering why did this anonymous teacher, maybe herself an eco-warrior, definitely a far-left lib, believe that this had something to do with slavery?
Well, because in case you forgot, over the last five or so years, there's been this systemic
brainwash taking place in our country where people are going back and taking things that
had nothing to do with black people as a part of the BLM movement and convincing people
that everything is related to slavery.
It's a re-education camp of sorts that is complete with complete and utter brainwashing
about races.
And one example of that, of course, was the 1619 Project.
And that 1619 Project is where we were at least able to source the idea could have possibly
come from, the idea of this ridiculous, a long-form journalistic endeavor that was done
by writers at the New York Times in their revisionist history, tried to say that somehow
patriots in the American Revolution, the American Revolution, the founding fathers, along with
figures such as Abraham Lincoln and the Union during the Civil War, even the flag that we
have today, everything became racist for a little bit.
And it seems like that teacher never had her brain unwashed.
But I'm pleased to say, you guys, is that this may seem like a left or right issue.
It actually isn't. I have to give credit where credit is due.
People on both the left and the right are standing up for Jared.
Jared lives in Colorado. As I mentioned before, the Colorado governor, a gay man who puts his pronouns and he's got the LGBTQ flag in his bio on Twitter, tweeted this out.
The Gadsden flag is a proud symbol of the American Revolution and an iconic warning to Britain or any government not to violate the liberties of Americans.
It appears on popular American medallions and challenge coins through today, and Ben Franklin also adopted it to symbolize the union of the 13 colonies.
It's a great teaching moment for a history lesson.
And he tweeted the flag.
He was followed up by Ted Lieu following the same sentiment.
I think there's nobody more far left than Ted Lieu.
And with that, guys, I will say it's simple.
If you do not want to have an issue, do not tread on American patriot rights.
It seems in this manner this teacher epped around and found out.
That's all I have to say about that.
We're living in an era of tyranny and the internet is at the frontier of a battle for control.
When powerful interests want to push their agenda, they get big government and big tech to silence any voice that does not fit their narrative.
Americans are being forced to give up the very thing that makes America great, our freedom of speech.
I'm not going to let my voice be censored, which is why I use ExpressVPN, and you should too.
The problem with big tech is not only do they attempt to censor you, but they also track what you do online.
What you're searching for, the videos you watch, and everything that you click, they can match your activity to your true identity and use your device's unique IP address.
When I use ExpressVPN, they can't see my IP address at all.
My identity becomes anonymized by a secure VPN server.
Plus, ExpressVPN encrypts 100% of my network traffic for protection from hackers and eavesdroppers.
ExpressVPN is so easy to use.
I love that no matter what device I'm on, the app literally has just one button.
You tap it and you're protected.
It really is that simple.

Okay, now it's time for some topics du jour.
You know, we are having a happy week on the podcast this week. I'm just trying to bring
you guys the good news, which is why it pains me to have to report that Prince Harry is making the
rounds again, because obviously he signed that $100 million Netflix deal. And well,
now Netflix is demanding their pound of flesh. And honestly, thanks for looking up. I was looking,
I was feeling rather excited for Prince Harry when I heard that he was going to be focusing
on the Invictus Games, right?
Because we understand that Prince Harry loves the military.
He loves military games. He dedicated a lot of his life.
And I think that that actually might be something real inside of him.
So I was looking forward to this not ever being about his family.
I think we've moved on from that chapter.
But of course, Netflix understands...
That's really only people want to hear from Prince Harry.
They want to hear him talk about his family, and Prince Harry has acquiesced with that.
He basically has sold his family for profit.
So it should come as a surprise to absolutely no one that Prince Harry is appearing to take another jab at the royal family by saying that he didn't have a support network after his mother died or after he returned from Afghanistan.
Let's hear Prince Harry in his own words.
I'm losing my mom at such a young age.
The trauma that I had, I was never really aware of.
It was never discussed.
I didn't really talk about it.
And I suppressed it like most youngsters would have done.
The biggest struggle for me was no one around me really could help.
I didn't have that support structure, that network, or that expert advice to identify what was actually going on with me.
So I'm going to explain to you why I believe that him and his wife are both manipulative
a**holes, okay?
Because let me tell you what they're doing.
They're using something that is such a touchy subject.
Every time they sit down, they keep talking about Princess Diana.
And this is something, by the way, that a lot of people have trauma from.
I remember Princess Diana dying.
I know that Meghan Markle said she had no idea who Princess Diana was, but you couldn't
I grew up with not any resources.
You couldn't walk into a supermarket anywhere without seeing her image and, of course, understanding that somebody very important had died, right?
And so what he's doing is he's harnessing natural human emotion.
Of course, we are all understandable people.
We are all understanding and sympathetic and compassionate to any child that loses a parent.
I don't know how old he was, 8 or 9 years old.
Any child that loses a parent, any adult that loses a parent, anybody that loses a grandparent, any person that was close in their life.
I lost my grandparent back in 2021.
It was a very big deal. It was hard for me to get over.
He's using that in saying that if I keep talking about this, you're going to be the monster if you criticize it.
Let me be the monster for everybody to tell you why what he is doing is unnatural.
It is one thing to talk about the struggles that you went through.
It is one thing to talk about losing a loved one, a relative, even if they've been in your life for 30 years, if they're just in your life for five years.
It is another thing to sell that compassion to Netflix for $100 million.
And that is the part that is so bothersome.
If Prince Harry was a part of some charity and he was just speaking to children who have lost their parents, if he was just speaking out about having lost his parents in the public space, if he was just talking to a news channel, there was no profit motive, I would say all of this is real.
It is incredible that the only time he feels an emotion or decides to speak out on emotion
for his mother, it is when there was a check.
And that, my friends, is why Prince Harry and Meghan are positively disgusting, because
they're trying to convince you that they have real pain, that they're real people, that
they want real privacy, that it really is about racism.
It really is about the death of a loved one.
It really is about his love for the military or love for people that came back from Afghanistan.
The only problem is they seem to only love those things when Netflix demands their pound
of flesh.
And so, as I said, I still rate them as manipulative.
I rate them as abhorrent.
And I will have some respect for him when they can produce one thing, one thing that garners them cash without them having to throw his very public family under the bus.
That's all I'm going to say about that.
Moving on, you guys. Matt Walsh tweeted this.
I thought it was fascinating. I thought, no way could it be true.
Just kidding. I definitely knew it was true.
But I fact-checked it for you anyways.
Weird! But over half of transgender prisoners in Wisconsin, wait for it, wait for it, are sex offenders.
And you might be thinking, Candace, how could that be?
These people are definitely transgender.
These people are actually just wanting to live in the other body.
Why does this keep happening within the prison system?
Why is that people that get caught...
This is a pedophilia, caught with minor children, that they suddenly say that they're conflicted in their bodies and actually they believe that they were born into the wrong bodies.
And why is it that these people are in many states being allowed to transfer?
If you're a male pedophile and you've raped a child, you then get into the prison system and you say, I'm actually transgender, please give me a wig, and then you're allowed to transfer into a female prison.
And why is it that all of these things can happen and the average person thinks that
the crime is not allowing them to live out their identity and not rather them being exposed
to female inmates who then have to deal with the fact that a sex offender, a registered
sex offender, is now living next to them simply because they say that they're transgender.
There's a much larger conversation that needs to happen about that.
about that.
But yes, here are the facts.
But yes, here are the facts.
I'm going to tell you about that Wisconsin prison.
I'm going to tell you about that Wisconsin prison.
And again, I'm sure if we looked, examined all prisons, you would see this happening
And again, I'm sure if we examined all prisons, you would see this happening over and over
over and over and over again here and overseas.

included sexual exploitation of a child, sexual exploitation by a therapist, forced viewing

with a child, indecent behavior with a child, enticing a child, and more.
Now, of course, we are on YouTube, so I am not allowed to provide any further commentary
I am simply delivering you the facts.
And the facts are that over half of transgender prisoners in Wisconsin are sex offenders.
So I will leave you with the question, why is that?
Moving on, absolutely have to cover this story because it makes me laugh, and I think it will make you laugh too.
Quietly, going on in the background, I don't want to talk about politics, but honestly, some of the greatest law firms, I think, in the modern era are the ones that can find a really small niche, like just suing fast food chains for ridiculous things for millions of dollars, and they get these millions of dollars.
It's a hustle. It's ambulance chasing in the weirdest regards to lawsuits that are going on right now for your information.
Burger King! It's been hit with a class-action lawsuit for overstating the size of a Whopper by 35%.
Five plaintiffs are seeking damages of at least $5 million in the case, which is being pursued in the state of Florida, because they claim that they're portraying the Whoppers as being 35% larger in advertisements, when in fact it's not actually 35% larger.
So I wonder how these lawsuits move through.
I wonder how they even come about because I don't think the people that are eating enough Whoppers to recognize that the 35% difference in its size are exactly right up on law.
I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong. I think actually what you have is a law firm that knows that these lawsuits go through and these fast food chains simply pay.
It's literally a hustle.
They go into Burger King, they find a guy, and they're like, hey, man, your Whopper looks pretty small.
I'm... Oh, call me.
I work for so-and-so and so-and-so, and we're going to get that corrected because you might be entitled to some money.
And I think these guys look up and they're in their whopper, and they're like, yeah, sure, I'll be one of your five plaintiffs.
That sounds pretty good for me. You're saying I'm going to make $100,000 after the lawyers take the rest?
Yeah, sure, I'll do that.
That seems like a lot of whoppers I can have in the future.
Yeah, sounds good. I think that's what's actually going on.
There's just no way. But yes, this is happening in Miami.
It's being The case is being overseen by a U.S. District Judge, Roy, who said that the company must defend the claim and that it was up to jurors to tell us what reasonable people think about the size of a Whopper.
I do right now wish that I was a Florida citizen.
I wish that I could.
I want to do jury duty.
On this case. That's the truth.
I think that I should have a right to do your duty on this case, examine these whoppers, take it very seriously, take notes, take a bite, see what's going on.
Somebody else is going to be able to have that lucky job.
Not the only lawsuit going on, which is why I'm telling you this is a hustle and I might be in the wrong career.
Maybe I should be suing people.
There is also another lawsuit against Taco Bell going on at the exact same time because there was a guy in New York who claims, you're not going to believe this, hope you're sitting down, Claims that the real-life food that he gets at Taco Bell looks nothing like what is shown in the ads.
Could you imagine that? Could you imagine that possibly when you see the ads of Taco Bell, the super hyper lenses and the meat that looks delicious, that if you actually go to Taco Bell, it's not going to look like that?
Maybe it's the first time he's ever seen an ad.
I don't know. But this guy...
Frank Saragusa from Ridgewood, Queens, is not playing around.
What happened was, the backstory is, he ordered a Mexican pizza, which I didn't know was a thing at Taco Bell.
My go-to is three crunchy tacos, and that's it.
Well, he paid $5.49 for this Mexican pizza.
And guess what?
It did not look like the advertisements.
And he said, oh no, yo quiero lawsuit because I'm lawyering up.
And he did indeed.
As a result, now that the company is being sued, just so you know what they are being sued for, it is willfully, wantonly, and with reckless disregard for the truth, they are misleading people like this Frank Siragusa.
And he It is now a proposed class action lawsuit that has been filed in Brooklyn federal court.
Taco Bell better answer why everything looks so good in the ads.
Then when you get there, it looks a little mushy.
And he's not necessarily lying.
I'm just wondering, is he going to get millions of dollars?
And if the answer is yes, I would like to put in my resignation right now to the Daily Wire because I got food to go complain about in many, many restaurants.
Pizza Hut definitely looks something like the ads.
And Frank is on to something, and I'm going to be next to Frank.
And as a final story, you guys, NASCAR, I don't know what they're doing.
I don't know. I'm going to follow this under Eminem hates Trump supporters.
People just don't understand their market.
NASCAR's been kind of dabbling in the race politics for a while.
I want to be honest. Black people, we're not big on NASCAR. We're just not our thing.
It's never really been our thing, you know?
But I do love Talladega Nights the movie.
It's hilarious and it's epic.
And I think it's a pretty fair representation of the market of people that love NASCAR, right?
I would love to go to a NASCAR race.
I'm just saying it's not my thing. I'm being honest.
So it's weird that they've been kind of ramping up the woke stuff in NASCAR. And we are kind of reaching a peak here because they're banning white applicants from one of their internship programs.
They offer a paid diversity internship, and it pointedly excludes white people from applying on the basis of their race, a stipulation that one lawyer is saying is illegal and that they're probably going to get sued for, as they should get sued for it, because this is why we have put certain laws into place.
We do not want racial discrimination, period.
As I have said many times on the show, there is no such thing as reverse racism.
It is just racism.
The idea is not, well, you are racist to us, so we're going to be racist towards you.
Some people very much have that idea in this country that you somehow become the bigger person when you say, you were racist to my great, great granddaddy, so now I'm going to be racist to you.
Well, that is pretty much what NASCAR is trying to employ, trying to pretend that this is a merit system.
And they now have this internship program, as I stated, that has racial requirements that the applicants must meet in order to be accepted.
The program requirements, the first bullet point says, be a member of one or more of the following races or classifications, Black or African American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Latino or Hispanic, Native Hawaiian, or other Pacific Islander.
So just right there, it's just kind of incredible to just blatantly say, to pretend that we do not have Title VII, that we do not have the 1866 Civil Rights Act, having essentially what is a 100% quote of four minorities is completely wrong.
And I always say on this show, and I will say it to you again, if you're ever questioning whether or not something is racist, if you're like, just a very simple litmus test to do, is to replace the words white and black and re-read what you are reading.
Re-examine what stipulations are.
So you imagine if this said, program requirements must be a member of one or more of the following races.
White. Unimaginable.
What are you saying? Whoa, did I just read that right?
Did this say that you must be white to apply?
The whole world would be burning down and it's on fire.
But we have been so conditioned to think that this is somehow the right thing when you flip the race.
As long as you say black and you say Native American and Hispanic, but suddenly this becomes okay.
It's not okay. It's wrong.
No white person should have to read this.
No black person should have to read this.
They should not have to read themselves being excluded on the basis of their skin color.
I don't know why that's so hard for so many people to understand.
So yes, NASCAR is getting into a bit of trouble.
Obviously, somebody will lawyer up and they will take this and there will be some sort of a lawsuit against them and they'll probably get rid of this program.
But beyond that, I think what they're really going to suffer from is just a brand crisis.
I don't know what they're doing. Again, I don't know if they know their audiences.
I don't know why they've become so bitter towards white people, the people that have supported NASCAR and have helped them become what they are today.
It seems really ridiculous.
Let's stop with all of the woke politics.
It's getting annoying, and I have mixed children.
I don't want to tell them that they have to pretend to be just black to get ahead in society.
It's really ridiculous. As central banks in countries like China, India, and Australia begin transitioning to digital currency, Federal Reserve has been contemplating the same for the United States.
With a digital currency, the government could track every single purchase that you make.
Officials could even prohibit you from purchasing certain products or seize your money.

All right, guys, it is now time to read some of your comments.
First set of comments are regarding Eminem.
I don't know what happened to him.
I swear he used to be kind of hard.
Maybe he never was. We definitely know now he's pretty soft.
Vivek Ramaswamy is taking swipes at him and winning on Twitter.
Yeah, I think that kind of is the story.
Throughout his entire career, Eminem was kind of plagued with this concept of being a fraud.
You know, you've got... I'm sorry, crying about Vivek Ramaswamy rapping on stage, it just doesn't do it for me.
IFBB Jacked writes, I remember respecting this man growing up all through middle school and high school when he was at his peak and to see him become what he is today.
It's an absolute tragedy.
That's how I feel. Maybe it's a lesson for us all.
Retire before you don't understand anything that's going on anymore.
There have been so many rockers to rock and roll, the 80s, and then suddenly they're soft and everything makes them sad.
And you just go, was that all an act?
Did we all get duped?
Or is this who you always were?
You just understood that there was a market to pretend that you were anti-establishment.
Regarding the Canadian teacher, that is Caleb Lemieux, who believes that he has real prosthetic breasts that are growing in a condition that makes his prosthetic breasts grow.
He's intersex. Sweet Ivory White writes, What is happening in my home, Canada, is pathetic.

I used to be proud of our country.
Now I am ashamed. Canada has some problems, you know, and I'm grateful that I have so many fans that are in Canada that watch the show every single day, which shows that it's not its people.

So hopefully Americans are providing some beacon of hope for you because we are fighting like hell.
Lastly, Sarah Elizabeth writes, You said it, not me.
Probably should say, don't tread on our kids.
Isn't that the lesson of today?
Ladies and gentlemen, that is all the time that we have.
