Enjoy Charlie's conversation with James Lindsay from the Believer's Summit, where they discuss some of the darker undertones of Kamala Harris’s ideology. Kamala is left-wing, of course, but how much of her worldview comes directly from 60s radicals, Marxists, Maoists, and full-blown Soviet Communists?Support the show: http://www.charliekirk.com/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

All right, everybody, for those of you that Or braving it out, you're in for a treat here.
Dr. James Lindsay is a great American and a really, really good friend.
One of my closest friends, actually.
And Dr. Lindsay is terrific and has a PhD in math.
Is that right?
That is true.
I should have a PhD in communism because you study it so much.
I should have, I think, one in gender studies and critical race theory and a couple other things as well.
But you know, this is a Believer's Summit, Charlie.
I just wanted to say, you know, the president spoke last night.
I just wanted to say I'm really excited to speak here because I get to speak with Charlie.
Charlie knows a lot about God.
Not quite as much as me.
But a lot.
He's really, no I'm just teasing, I'm just teasing.
Yes, I do have a PhD in math, and Charlie knows a lot about God.
And, well thank you.
And so, Dr. Lindsey, you are currently reading a lot of Mao and Lenin, is that right?
Yeah, that's unpleasant.
So just so you know, what makes Dr. Lindsey so special, amongst many other things, he has a great heart, he really loves this country, he loves liberty, is that he goes back It's an unpleasant prospect.
I put on Twitter the other day, I said that I'm on Twitter, and I don't know if you've noticed that social media is basically a psychological warfare zone right now.
So it's very unpleasant.
You know, my entire feed is just angry Democrats saying crazy things that cannot possibly be true.
And then I think, well, why am I on here?
And it's to take a break from reading the worst minds in history of Lenin and Mao and Stalin.
Teilhard de Chardin is another one I'm reading right now.
He's a crackpot.
So let's take Mao.
The Christianity right now is is faltering in its public opinion and approval.
What can we learn as Christians from Mao?
Is Mao applicable to today's America?
Mao is the story of today's America.
We're going through a Maoist style revolution and so this is why I've decided I needed to start reading Not just the ideas of Mao, which is what I've been doing for the last couple of years, but now I'm reading the history to see how he actually implemented things.
And the fact is that Mao firmly believed that what you do is you gain the majority on your side and separate your enemies and take them down one by one.
And that you do that by positioning them as part of the problem that has created society not being as it could be, or should be, I think, as the Vice President says, you know.
Well, that's important, Ben.
Unpack that line, though.
So, by the way, we should laugh at that line, but Vice President Harris will say repeatedly, what is the quote?
The quote is that we can see what can be unburdened by what has been.
Is that word salad or Marxism?
It's Marxism.
That is, in fact, not at all word salad.
It is a Marxist... As I said on Twitter the other day, and got mocked relentlessly by the media for this, I said it's a Marxist incantation, as a matter of fact.
It's like a spell.
So you can see the possibility of a world that's unburdened from its own history.
Which is exactly what Mao Zedong did when he launched the campaign of Smash the Four Olds, the four old characteristics of Chinese society.
They were going to make a new China that was going to be unburdened by what had been in the past of China.
This is what the Soviets, the Bolsheviks, did when they took over power in Russia, is that they were going to make the new Russia.
They were going to make the new man, as a matter of fact.
People could become unburdened by what has been so that they could see what could possibly be in the terms of a socialist utopia.
Madam Vice President, when she says that, I assume, given that her father was a Marxist and a professor, I assume she knows what she's saying, and I don't buy her idiot valley speak schtick one bit.
I think she's far more smart and far more savvy than conservatives have given her credit for, and she is an outright Marxist.
It is very, very clear in her language, and that's what the Democrats want to nominate for president right now, which is kind of horrifying.
Yeah, and again, we're just looking at this from an academic standpoint, purely educational.
It is, her statement is not just gobbledygook.
It is saying that we must, is it fair to say, we must unshackle ourselves from Western civilization so that we can go towards a new utopia?
Yeah, so look, let's quote some people.
Let's talk about Karl Marx.
Karl Marx writes in his 18th Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte, which was Napoleon III, right out of the beginning, right at the start, he says that the weight of the past weighs on the minds of the living like a nightmare.
And that the objective of this is to move forward into a society in which you are not shackled to what was.
You don't have to draw your inspiration from the past.
You can draw your inspiration, as a matter of fact, from a vision of the future.
In other words, you can see...
What can be unburdened by what has been?
Or you can see this in the Communist Manifesto, where he says that the entire movement of history itself is the conflict of classes, where the underclass is going to break free from the historical conditions that they've been put under and move forward into a new, brilliant world.
Or we can quote from Less old, less Marx, less 1840s, and move forward into say 2009 when Jose Esteban Munoz, a queer theorist, wrote that queerness is not yet here.
This is almost a direct quote.
It is a potentiality.
It is a horizon that we're moving toward.
Maybe we can touch it one day.
Maybe we can get there one day.
What it's going to do is leave behind the nightmares of the past.
It's the same message over and over and over again.
And so you have Kamala Harris standing up there doing a very odd gesture with her hands.
She always holds up her... What is it?
She holds up her right hand and says, we can see what can be.
And she points down with her left hand and points backwards, unburdened by what has been when she does her little act.
And we should take very seriously that this is Textbook Marxism.
It is not valley girl gobbledygook.
Yeah, and so going back then to Marxism in praxis, or practice, which is Mao.
One of the components of Mao Zedong's regime was the weaponization of children against their parents.
When you're here at a Believer's Summit, the only one of the Ten Commandments that involves your nation and a promise is honor your mother and father so that you may live long in the land of which you are in.
Contrast that biblical teaching with what Mao Zedong did.
So, if you don't know the Chinese cultural context, especially before Mao had power, the single most important form of respect that you were supposed to show in Chinese culture was to your father.
To your parents in particular, but to your father especially.
And so, you know, almost hero worship by Confucian mandate.
You know, 4,000 year history of Confucian thought leading them to have this family piety that was kind of the big thing.
And this is actually very similar to what you've said in the commandment.
And what Mao said was, that actually upholds bourgeois values.
And so what we have to actually do, what he actually did was organize a situation for the Cultural Revolution in which young people, to prove their revolutionary status, would be led to denounce, particularly their fathers, but to denounce their families.
They would take new names.
They would have their old dead name is what we call them now.
And they would adopt a new name that everybody had to recognize, their revolutionary name.
They would go from, you know, something that might translate as, for a girl, something like, you know, whatever flower, to something like, you know, revolutionary warrior.
And they would take on new genderless names that represented their role in the revolution.
They would rename streets.
They would rename plazas.
Everything to the past had to be cut.
But if you found yourself as a child, Put in what they called the black classes, and everybody had to live in their class identity.
Red classes were the communists, the revolutionaries, they were good.
But the black classes were the counter revolutionaries and the backward people that had to be corrected.
And if you were in the black class, they treated you like dirt, and you wanted to get into the red class.
You would do almost anything to get into the red class.
And if you were a child, you inherited your black class status from your parents.
Not by what you did, but by the wealth of your parents or your status of your parents or what your parents have done in political activity.
So if your parents in our days were a Republican or a gun owner or something like that, then the child might be turned into, you know, put into the black category.
Well, the easiest way out would be to denounce your family.
For our children, the easiest way out is to announce a fringe, or made up, I really should say, a synthetic sexuality or gender identity, and to say that parents don't understand, and then get states like California to protect them.
What exactly is in the California law right now?
Well, the California law has, well, the new law that everybody's all worked up about in California is that they've actually passed a statute.
This isn't, I don't think, the one, the protection law.
This is, they passed a statute most recently that says that if a child adopts one of these gender or sexual identities at school, that the teachers Are required by law not to tell the parents so the teachers now are required by law to lie to parents and to hide These things from parents which is an extension of the previous situation They've already passed a law in the past in California and in some other states where they are saying that if the parents don't affirm the children in these views the gender or sexual identities then
The parents are abusive, and the state can actually take your children away through Child Protective Services.
And this, of course, sets up a dynamic, just like Mal would have set up, where there's antagonism between the children and their parents.
The idea is to tell the children, we, at the state, through the school or the guidance counselor or whatever, the school counselor, we're on your side, but your parents might not like this.
We're to be trusted.
You can tell us your deepest secrets, but don't tell your parents because they might get upset.
And then they reinforce that by saying, in fact, it's abusive if they don't like it.
So your parents might be child abusers and you don't even know it.
So they set up a dynamic of putting a, again, Marxist wedge between parents and children.
Because family, it turns out, it's easy to infiltrate all the other cultural institutions basically through colleges, even seminaries.
You can get into the education schools and then you can get into the law schools and you can change law and education and all the other professions, media.
It's hard to change the family unless you can create a wedge between parent and child.
And the techniques of Mao Zedong are being brought to a new American Western context in terms of racial and sexual and gender identity in order to create that wedge between parents and kids.
Are these people groomers?
Well, ideologically speaking, yes, but we see the handshake between literal sexual groomers or predators.
Not to say that they're all predators, but some of them are.
And what happens is you don't have a filtering mechanism to keep the actual predators out if you're running the same playbook as the actual predators would run in order to do an ideological grooming.
What their goal is ideologically is to create washed-out, anxious, upset, Actually, unstable young people who will reject the society that they're in.
Like, if communism has one skill above all other skills, it is to create a crisis and deflect blame for that crisis onto other people.
And so they create a crisis in the children.
They tell us in their own literature that their education is designed to create a crisis.
Kevin Kumashiro says that the educators have a responsibility to lead children into emotional crises and structure the environment around them so they resolve the crises.
in a pro-progressive direction, which means what? Brainwashing. So they take this
upon themselves, like I said, to split the child off from the parents because the parents are the last and
final bulwark against communism. If people live in a state such as California
where they could effectively kidnap your child from you, is that what you're saying?
Is that an unfair summary, James?
I mean, yeah.
If they can work your child up into believing that they have some sexual or gender identity and then they don't affirm it, yes.
I mean, there's a documentary coming out here that Turning Point's producing at some point fairly soon called Identity Crisis.
It's very good.
It's fantastic.
And it tells the story of Adam Vina, who actually went through this.
His ex-wife started to lead his son into a transition program, convinces this little toddler boy that he's actually a girl.
Adam Vina objects to this, as any strong father should, and the state of California completely boxed him out of his parental rights.
And even worse than that, again, the new law in California, and I can't say this enough, Is that if a 13 or 14 or 15 year old comes out as trans, the teacher is not allowed to tell the parent.
That's right.
Not allowed to.
I mean, there's even questions that go further.
Not that they have to.
They're not allowed to.
They're not allowed to.
So even if your child perhaps went to them and said that they feel this way and maybe that they're suicidal, they're also not allowed to tell you, the parent, that your child is having suicidal ideations.
So, therefore, if a parent here lives in one of those states, should they still send their kids to these government-run schools?
I mean, they shouldn't be sending their kids to the government-run schools if they don't live in those states, but certainly not!
This is time for homeschooling!
It's time to get off the couch!
So, James...
I agree.
I'm not sending our two kids to even private school.
We're going to homeschool.
And then maybe Turning Point Academy.
But we're homeschooling for the time being.
Do you believe that's the correct approach?
I think it's the necessary approach.
I understand I'm going to just soft pedal this a little bit.
Soft pedaling is not my brand.
I understand it's hard.
The maximum number of people who can must homeschool their children at this point in history, and they must get involved in the legal right to defend your parental right to direct the upbringing of your children.
Moms for Liberty is an organization that pushes that message explicitly.
And so, so James, part of this is Christians not being sure how to fight in this terrain.
We're all praying and hoping that you'll call yourself a Christian one day.
I will say this, don't you guys all agree?
We love James.
James knows the Bible better than some pastors that I know.
He loves the Word.
He studies the Word.
You have been really focused on the subversion of Christianity.
Tell us about that.
Marxists in the Soviet Union and early on in China, before the Cultural Revolution, were basically just blunt instruments, right?
They were like, you're not going to be Christian, and then they decided, well, too many people are too into it, so we'll set up what they called a registered church that was just KGB agents pretending to be priests.
And teaching communism.
They have the Three Selves Church in China.
If you've ever seen a picture of a Three Selves Church, you should go see this.
It's amazing.
It's got, you know, the cross in the middle, and then it'll have Mao Zedong's portrait on one side, and Xi Jinping's on the other.
It's super holy, let me tell you what.
And so, the Three Selves, right?
You got Christ, Mao, and Xi.
And they're... I don't know if those are the Three Selves or not, but...
In the West, they've been subversive.
What they do is they get inside the institution, the church, and they twist the teachings around.
And the easiest way to twist a teaching around, and let me just tell you before I say how they do it.
They think Christians are the junior varsity team.
The Marxists in the 30s and 40s and 50s, as Paul Kenger has noted in his book, The Devil and Karl Marx, referred to Christians as suckers.
They said they're the biggest suckers out there.
You can get them on their values and you can twist their values around.
You could say Jesus was the first socialist.
That was a Soviet program in liberation theology.
You could launch, as Walter Rauschenbusch did in 1905, the Social Gospel, which says that the entire point of Jesus was to actually liberate the oppressed.
It's not to, you know, do as he did.
And so this is a huge A huge diversion from the Christian teaching, but we've been very familiar with it under doctrines like, love your neighbor, right?
So follow me here.
Did Jesus say, love your neighbor?
And everybody's gonna say, yes, because you're good, subverted, junior varsity suckers.
Jesus did not say, love your neighbor.
What, James, don't teach the Bible?
That's heresy.
Jesus said, love God with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul, and all your strength, and then love your neighbor as yourself.
That's not the same commandment.
That is something different because if you don't love the truth, the true, the good, the beautiful first, if you don't have your house in order as Jordan Peterson might say it, you have no business going and interfering with your neighbor's life because you aren't based yet.
You don't know how to do it.
So you'll end up affirming a child in reckless and dangerous delusion that he's being led into by the media and the schools Because you think it's caring.
Because you think it's loving your neighbor.
That's exactly how they sell it.
Another one, you know, Jesus says in Matthew 10, 16, that He sends you out, His disciples are going out into a dangerous environment to preach the Word.
And He says, I send you out.
It's going to be dangerous, so you need to be as wise as serpents and gentle as doves.
And the kind of subversion that you get is the same as love your neighbor.
They just leave half of it off.
Jesus said, be gentle.
So now you're gentle.
to the wrong things because you left the discernment out you don't know the difference between and Spurgeon said by the way he didn't say that well here's what he said he said discernment is not the difference between right and wrong it's the difference between right and almost right which is so much harder to get right so you take the discernment out and now you are being gentle When you shouldn't be.
You're being rolled over.
You're no longer being a good shepherd laid across the gate to protect the flock.
You're just getting pushed around by a culture that's telling you, as my social media experience is right now, constant propagandizing lies.
Constant agitprop.
There's your Stalin.
Go out into everything and put agitation and propaganda to get people confused.
Well, what happens if you get rolled over?
Over and over and over again.
If you're gentle when you shouldn't be.
Well, that's when things go badly.
That's when things fall apart.
So then what?
The next round of subversion is to come along and say, listen, being gentle is the problem.
Christians shouldn't be gentle.
They should apparently fly off the handle.
It's time for a big, strong, muscular Christianity that's gonna fight.
Look at that.
I think they think that I was giving them instructions.
You got subverted, folks.
Jesus said, be gentle and discerning.
You can't throw out both of them.
There's two wrongs, don't make a right here.
So if you throw out discerning, the correct way to get back is to put discerning back in.
It is not to throw out gentleness too.
And that's how they subvert you.
That's how they subvert your faith.
And because your faith is where your values come from, that's how they subvert you.
And they twist you into thinking you're doing good when you're actually doing their bidding.
Which, I mean, that's demonic.
Yes, it is.
And so, when we hear from some pastors that we must be accepting or tolerant of The trans agenda or the queer agenda, and that is a subverted Christianity.
That's true.
That's subverted.
You have to start with the truth.
You have to start with that which corresponds to reality in the greatest measure, and it turns out that boys are boys, girls are girls.
It's not a complicated thing.
Men and women are different.
They're not the same thing.
They're not interchangeable, and they cannot be made to be interchanged.
So you have to start with the truth.
If you aren't starting with the truth, Then all you're doing is what they call in addiction medicine, enablement.
You've been, again, subverted from helping and you're harming in the guise of helping.
One of the things I think is very important, can you talk about how Marxism seeks to iron out all the contradictions or the distinctions and how that fits into Christianity?
Yeah, so Marxism operates through blurring out Distinctions.
Differences.
Male versus female, for example.
Eh, no, they're just people.
Right?
We have congresspeople, not congressmen and congresswomen.
Blurring out distinctions.
Here's a couple of good examples, though.
They try to treat different things like they're the same thing, and then advance in that confusion, or what they would call the mystification.
And so here's an example, right?
So we all know that Joe Biden has dementia that's now been completely verified invisible, and he's having to step down from running for president because of it, whatever the story is.
And now all of a sudden, two weeks ago, Biden's great.
It's a right-wing conspiracy theory.
Now, Trump's too old.
As if dementia and old are the same thing.
But they're not the same thing.
They've blurred out the distinction between age and a cognitive impairment.
That sometimes comes with age.
So now their narrative is Trump's too old.
Why?
Because Biden's too old.
Why?
Because Biden has dementia.
This is not logical.
This is manipulation.
This is mystification.
It's subversion.
That's an example where they take two things that are different and try to make them the same and get you to act as though these things are kind of the same.
You know, you got science and you have the science.
And we have to believe science, right?
So you have science and you have scientism.
You have the pushing of ideology and scientific clothes, and you have to treat them as though they're the same.
Experts say.
So somebody who has a degree may or may not be an expert.
But experts say, and so you have to listen to the people that they consider a credential.
They blur out the distinctions between genuine expertise and credentials, for example.
And this is the main vehicle.
It is a form of delusion and confusion that they sow into the world in order to advance their agenda.
And once you realize they do it, you'll see it.
Everywhere, and I warn you, you will become frustrated when you start to see it everywhere, that they're treating two different things as though they're the same thing.
If you were to give advice and marching orders to the church to defeat this woke communism, what would it be?
Alright Charlie, I don't normally plan when we're going to have a talk anything, I've thought this one in advance.
And I have to say something, this is a little weird, and I apologize to anybody, I apologize to you maybe Charlie, we'll see what happens.
Okay.
Y'all know who I am, right?
If you don't know who I am, like, the joke's about to be on you.
And I'm chewing on something right now because something just happened.
We all saw it on television.
So two weeks ago or thereabouts, I was sitting on an airplane doing that turn about to take off where you know you're not going to have any connection anymore.
So I have like a minute and a half of internet remaining, and I start getting my phone, we're literally turning onto the runway, and I get my phone starts blowing up.
And it's like, They shot Trump.
And I'm like, shot Trump or shot at him?
And they're like, link to a Twitter.
And I watched the video, and nope, they shot Trump.
And we're about to take off, right?
So I don't know how this story is about to play out.
I'm like, watching the video, hoping it makes it.
The plane's starting to rumble down the runway.
And I see Trump get up.
I see the fist go up.
I see the blood.
And I'm like, I just saw a miracle.
And for an hour and a half on the flight with no Wi-Fi, I sat there very quietly like, do
I tell people what I just saw?
Bye.
And like, no, now's not the time.
Like, don't open your mouth.
And I sat there for an hour and a half just thinking, like, y'all, I don't believe in miracles.
And I just saw a miracle.
And I don't know what to do with it.
So I've been thinking for two weeks about what do you do when you see a miracle.
And I thought I think about what I've learned you know spending time with a lot of Christians
in the last couple years I think about the book of numbers.
Think about how, I mean, what do you say it's wandering in the wilderness?
It should be called, Don't Complain.
That should be the name of the book.
I mean, I know it's infallible and errant and all that, but I don't think God named the book, right?
The Book of Numbers should be called, Stop Complaining.
And so they're like, you know, we need a sign, we need a sign.
We're wandering in the desert and God's like, I gave you 10.
That's it.
You're not going into Canaan.
You're out.
And Moses is like, please?
And he's like, look, I won't condemn them, but they can't go in.
They complain too much.
No whiners in the promised land.
No complaining in the promised land.
That's not what we do, right?
And so...
We're at a tense moment.
Biden calls this an inflection point in history, and I think he's right.
He says that whatever happens in the next few months might determine the next 70 years of world history, and I think he's right.
I mean, he's not right about a lot, but he's right about this.
And for whatever reason, for whatever reason, a bullet was supposed to go in Donald Trump's head two weeks ago, and he turned his head at the exact moment an assassin pulled the trigger.
And it missed.
Something put it on his mind or heart to turn his head and look at the illegal immigrant poster at the exact moment it had to happen.
And so I think about this.
Here we are, we're wandering in the desert of propaganda and agitprop from the Soviets that have taken over.
And we want a sign.
We want to know that there's a promised land.
We want a sign.
You just got one!
Stop whining!
But if that's correct, and you just got one, and you have to stop complaining, that means you have to be grateful.
That means you have to get up and do your part.
You weren't given a miracle in front of your eyes to sit on the couch and say, wow, that was neat.
You've got to get involved.
We've got an election to win.
The man wasn't spared to lose.
And so what Christians need to do is they need to renew their faith and they need to see that this moment, for whatever reason, for such a time as this, I don't think we're the junior varsity team if this is the circumstances we're in.
I think it's time for us to pick up, get off of the bench, and start doing the right thing to take our country back and make America great again.
