Three years ago was the beginning of the end of the Biden presidency.
Joe Biden became president under very suspicious means, a lot of hocus pocus, a lot of nonsense, shenanigans, from the 2020 election of January 6, and all of a sudden, poof, Biden is president.
But Joe Biden's approval ratings were above 50% during February, March, April, and May of 2021.
He had an okay summer.
He was all about fighting COVID, all that nonsense, even though he repealed the Keystone XL pipeline, sent his shock troops after Douglas Mackey.
He declared war on American energy independence.
He got rid of the 1776 Commission.
Joe Biden was a radical from the first day he became president because Kamala Harris is a radical, and Kamala Harris is working in tandem with him.
But then something happened three years ago.
Joe Biden made an ideological decision in the way that he was going to withdraw from Afghanistan.
Now, to be very consistent, very clear, On this program, we make an argument that actually pulling from Afghanistan the withdrawal was a good thing.
That getting out of Afghanistan was necessary.
But the way that it was done was insulting.
It was humiliating.
It was ideological.
It was enemy-appeasing.
If I have to take out an appendix, I don't take out a pocket knife and just operate on myself.
We had trapped Americans.
We allowed equipment to be left behind.
We telegraphed our move.
He said he was going to do it on the anniversary of 9-11.
Now for many of you that remember in vivid detail the war on terror, Afghanistan, more so than even Iraq, was the big stand of the war on terror.
I think we can all agree the war in Iraq and the war in Afghanistan were largely big mistakes.
To be very clear though, those of you that served in those wars, you are heroes.
You should be supported as heroes, and we thank you for your service.
This is not about the rank and file that went to go fight for your country.
This is about the out-of-touch oligarch generals and the people that play war games in D.C.
that decided to go spend trillions of dollars, thousands of American lives, and ruin hundreds of thousands of lives in the process through PTSD and other horrible, irreversible issues.
The war in Afghanistan and the war in Iraq were a big mistake.
The very least that many of you and many of us were asking for was, can we please not be humiliated?
If we're going to end the war in Afghanistan, can we do so with duty and honor and some prestige?
What occurred, of course, was Joe Biden saying, get out of there as quickly as possible.
Get out of there.
This was done with no intelligence, no wisdom, no capacity to listen to critics.
Sacrificing and foregoing the Bagram Air Base.
We handed the keys to the country back to the Taliban.
And let me repeat it.
Basically, there was no reason that we did the Afghan war.
No reason whatsoever.
We did not achieve anything.
We do not control any more of the country.
There are not less terrorists, there are more terrorists.
It was a multi-trillion dollar mistake.
We had just had a multi-trillion dollar waste.
Thank you, George W. Bush.
Thank you, Dick Cheney.
Thank you, Barack Obama.
Thank you, Nancy Pelosi.
Thank you, Chuck Schumer.
Thank you, Denny Hassert.
Thank you to all the warmongers.
Thank you, Lindsey Graham, who's been a cheerleader for this effort for years.
The Afghan war is one of the great mistakes in American history.
It's one of the reasons why we have the posture on this program to be against adventurous foreign policy.
But the least we could have done is to make sure that we fix this neoconservative debacle and end it correctly.
That the last chapter as it is written is not done in a way that is humiliating to all of us, humiliating to the service, that puts more soldiers at risk, that potentially allows us to lose more lives on the way out.
That we do it in a way that our equipment does not end up in the hands of our adversaries.
Joe Biden's approval ratings were unmoved in March, April, May, June, July.
And then as soon as Afghanistan happened three years ago, his approval ratings went below 50% and they never recovered.
All that we wanted was to end this war with dignity, honor, and keep our servicemen and women safe, and keep the world safe.
Joe Biden decided to just pull the plug, and instead of any sort of intelligent withdrawal, we saw one of the most chaotic, just breathtaking moments in American history.
Telegraphing our move.
Let's play Cut 171.
So it begins.
CNN's Clarissa Ward reports from Kabul, covered head to toe, not one strand of hair showing.
I'm Clarissa Ward.
It's a stark contrast with how she looks in this CNN promo.
Even dressed like this, she's met with hostility.
They've just told me to stand to the side because I'm a woman.
Now, in Taliban culture, they've now completely taken over the country.
Remember that was the whole argument that the neoconservatives make, the warmongering Republicans?
Oh, yeah, spend a couple billion dollars and soon Afghanistan will be like Alabama.
It'll be a free society.
It'll be open.
It'll be terrific.
Many of you remember this shocking, awful, the desperate escape from the country that Kamala Harris and Joe Biden oversaw.
PlayCut 172.
We're also learning more about the desperate plight of Afghan civilians fleeing the Taliban.
This video was recorded by a man as he and his countrymen clung desperately to the side of the cargo plane as it was taking off.
And this is the scene inside the U.S.
cargo plane.
640 people packed on board for the three-hour flight to Qatar.
This is what the giant aircraft is designed for, carrying 150 troops.
And now, many of them are here in America. 173 how the Taliban took over almost
unopposed they took over the entire country they took over all the infrastructure that you the
taxpayers paid for. Play cut 173.
In the capital of Kabul Taliban fighters were enjoying the fruits of victory
using the machines at an abandoned gym, driving bumper cars at a fairground and enjoying a
carousel ride. And now three years later let us not forget by the way 13 Marines who lost their
lives and Kamala Harris will not even say their names.
13 Marines who were killed unnecessarily outside of the airport.
13 Marines that were killed by an incendiary explosive device.
Joe Biden never said their names, Kamala Harris not say their names.
Kamala Harris will say the names of Dylan Mulvaney and these trans zealots that visit the White House, but she will not say the names of Marines that sacrificed their life for this country.
And yesterday, in a humiliation ritual, the Taliban decided to remind you who won the war.
You know, it was famously said when I grew up, America never really lost a war.
Vietnam doesn't count.
We lost the war in Afghanistan by every objective measurement.
They have more terrorists.
They control the entire country.
We accomplished nothing.
And Joe Biden decided to give them everything on the way out.
Everything.
What we saw yesterday in the streets of Kabul was like a Roman triumph.
The ancient Romans would hold parades with captured enemy captives and standards, and they would put them on full display.
Put this up on screen.
The Taliban yesterday at the three-year anniversary of Joe Biden's reckless treasonous Humiliating withdrawal.
Might have been on Wednesday, but the days are all screwed up because they're a day ahead.
Whatever.
It was earlier this week.
Put this, put it up on screen.
The Taliban decided to march through the streets with all of the equipment, with the helicopters, with the tanks, over $100 billion.
$100 billion in American taxpayer military equipment.
This was earlier this week.
Not only will America lose, but our enemies will brag about it, rub it in your face, and troll you in real time.
Trolling your blood and sacrifice with impunity.
For any of you that have sons or daughters that serve in Afghanistan, this is them laughing at you.
And D.C.
does not care.
Kamala Harris doesn't care.
She's making videos about white guy tacos.
Not a joke.
While she's the current vice president and they are marching through the streets in complete humiliation, that is your equipment.
And the Taliban is bragging, we won the war.
America's not America.
And the mainstream media barely cares.
They're not covering this at all.
Flying the helicopters, flying the tanks, selling our very precious information to the Chinese Communist Party.
And Joe Biden and Kamala Harris made an intentional decision to give all those goods to the Taliban.
Not only will you lose the war, not only will those of you that lost loved ones in Afghanistan be trolled and insulted, but the enemies then get the weapons on the way out.
Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
Did you know that 80% of adults take supplements to feel our best, right?
Well, one thing your dog can't do without you is improve their diet or health to feel their best.
That is why I believe Rough Greens could dramatically help your best friend by adding what is missing to their diet like you do.
Rough Greens is helping thousands and thousands of dogs feel better and live longer, including my dog, Mr. Briggs, who loves it.
Naturopathic Dr. Dennis Black, who created Rough Greens, is also an Airborne Ranger and Green Beret.
An amazing background, he loves dogs and is on a mission to help as many as he can.
Dog food is dead and Rough Greens supplements your dog's food with existing vitamins and minerals, omega oils, digestive enzymes, It was a humiliation ritual.
That's what it was.
By the way, Kamala Harris refuses to say these following names.
Sergeant Johnny Rosario Pichardo.
Sergeant Nicole L. Gee.
jumpstart trial bag, just cover shipping, don't change your dog's food, just go to
By the way, Kamala Harris refuses to say these following names.
Sergeant Johnny Rosario Pichardo.
Sergeant Nicole L. Gee.
Staff Sergeant Darren T. Hoover.
Corporal Hunter Lopez.
Corporal Dagan Page.
Corporal Humberto Sanchez.
Lance Corporal David Espinoza.
Lance Corporal Jared Schmitz.
You notice a lot of Hispanic patriots?
She wants the Hispanic votes, but she won't even say their names.
The disproportionately Hispanic list here of people that serve their country.
God bless them.
Lance Corporal Jared M. Schmitz.
Lance Corporal Riley J. McCullum.
Lance Corporal Dylan R. Merola.
Do you know that Kamala Harris has never said those names, nor has Joe Biden?
So they withdraw from Afghanistan and hand all the weapons over to the Taliban.
And we saw that in full display.
Make sure you play 174 here, just with a little bit of the noise in the background.
They're celebrating as if this is a major Roman triumph.
This country is in complete collapse.
We're in collapse economically, at the border, and we can't take the Taliban with this?
Do you know what should have happened here yesterday?
If we would have found that they were doing some sort of military parade, we should have just drone-striked it.
Yeah, we're just gonna, you're gonna go parade with our equipment?
We spent 20 years there.
If you guys are riding that equipment, then get the women and children out of the way.
We're gonna drone-strike it.
Why wouldn't we do that?
Oh, because we do not have a presidency that cares.
Listen to this.
They're celebrating marching this equipment, the planes, the tanks, the cars, the military vehicles, the weapons, over $100 billion.
So we are $35 trillion in debt, and then we withdraw from a country after 20 years after achieving nothing, achieving nothing, at the Bagram Air Base that we built, that we controlled, that we surrendered, that we Basically retreated from, and then we have to watch back our equipment be thrown in our face in a humiliation ritual.
This is what the Kamala Harris presidency will be for you.
We lost 2,400 men and women in Afghanistan.
The 13 that were lost unnecessarily need to be read here because they were completely ignored by Kamala Harris and Joe Biden.
And this is just basically in your face?
The Taliban is basically sending a message to all of our enemies, to the Chinese Communist Party, to North Korea, to Iran.
Look at this.
America's a bunch of weak people.
Kamala Harris doesn't know what she's doing.
She's cackling her way, trying to be president.
And we do not have a current president, obviously.
There's not a mention of this from the White House.
They've never had to explain the fact that we abandoned all this equipment.
We could have destroyed the equipment on the way out.
You know that Donald Trump had an Afghan withdrawal plan, and he said, at the very least, we're going to destroy all the equipment on the way out.
We're not going to allow them to just parade it.
Yes, you're going to waste $100 billion, but that's a rounding error, unfortunately.
But at the same time, at least it's not going to be paraded around, given to your enemies, and potentially used against you.
You know that this will now be sold to arms smugglers, arms dealers, and potentially we are now going to have to fight our own equipment in the Middle East.
At the bare minimum, heads should have rolled at the military for this.
You know how many people were fired for this?
None.
Zero.
Not a single person was fired because of the Afghanistan debacle.
So think about it.
Not a single person fired because of the Afghanistan debacle.
Not a single person fired because of COVID.
Not a single person fired after Trump got shot.
Maybe the people running our military are not the best, but they want more power.
They want the continuation of this regime.
This was Joe Biden three years ago.
Boy, he's really collapsed the last three years.
PlayCut 175.
Now granted, it took two days to take control of the airport.
We have control of the airport now.
Still a lot of pandemonium outside the airport.
Well there is, but look, but no one's being killed right now.
God forgive me if I'm wrong about that, but no one's being killed right now.
People are, we got a thousand somewhere, twelve hundred out yesterday, a couple thousand today, and it's increasing.
We're going to get those people out.
Boy, he's really collapsed the last three years.
And of course, 13 Marines died hours later.
Has anyone in the America's government been fired for incompetence in the last 20 years?
Does Kamala Harris plan to fire anybody for incompetence?
Of course not.
Has anyone at all at the State Department, the Department of Defense, the Central Intelligence Agency, the NSA, the National Security Agency, the FDA, the CDC, the Secret Service, the FBI?
No.
No, instead, they're often promoted.
You fail upwards.
That's the way it works.
You ascend through your failure.
You climb the ranks through your incompetency.
And that is the Kamala Harris view of the world.
And when you are going to make your vote and you're going this weekend to talk to swing voters and talk to Democrats, you should show them just the video I just showed here and say, watch this.
Watch all of that equipment, our stuff, our blood and sacrifice of our fellow countrymen.
And then it's just trolled and put on display in a slow motion humiliation ritual.
Are you ready to lose weight but not sure where to start?
I understand.
I was right where you are two years ago.
Let me tell you why I chose the PhD Weight Loss and Nutrition program.
First, Dr. Ashley Lucas has her PhD in Chronic Disease and Sports Nutrition.
Her program is based on years of research and is science-based.
Second, the PhD program starts in Nutrition.
There's so much more.
They know that 90% of permanent change comes from the mind, and they work on eliminating the reason you gain this weight in the first place.
There's no shortcuts, pills, or injections, just solid science-based nutrition and behavior change.
And finally, and probably most importantly, I lost 30 pounds.
Look, they're amazing.
If you want to lose weight, you've got to go to MyPhDWeightLoss.com.
I was just texting with Dr. Ashley Lucas today.
If you're ready to lose weight for the last time, call 864-644-1900.
Go online at MyPhDWeightLoss.com.
Do what I did and what hundreds of my listeners have done and call today, 864-644-1900.
I recommend their program.
Dr. Asher Lucas has her PhD in chronic disease and sports nutrition.
Her program is based on years of research and is science-based.
Second, the PhD program starts in nutrition, but it's so much more.
Go to MyPhDWeightLoss.com.
MyPhDWeightLoss.com.
Call 864-644-1900.
I lost over 30 pounds.
Dr. Asher Lucas, great American.
Check it out.
MyPhDWeightLoss.com.
I just want to close the Afghanistan thing very quickly.
The Afghanistan moment, I think that if Donald Trump focuses on this and makes them watch the footage, he should do another press conference.
He mentioned it yesterday.
Do we have the clip of him mentioning it yesterday?
I thought he did a good job.
But I think he should do an entire press conference.
We've got to think creatively.
I think President Trump should do another press conference with the families that Kamala Harris and Joe Biden still have not mentioned and just have this On a huge screen TV showing the equipment parade.
I know a lot of people, I've been getting lots of text messages and lots of phone calls of people that are saying, Charlie, this gets my pulse rate spiking.
People who are not political, people who love their country, who then see our American weaponry Have to be paraded in our face.
I think it is very persuasive.
And I think that that image is far better than a political attack ad of how radical Kamala Harris is.
By the way, that's very important.
We should do that.
But I think this is, it is a, it is demonstrative of what we are living through.
We are living through a crippled country, a regime that has no concern whatsoever.
Let's play this piece of tape here of President Trump yesterday.
I'm trying to find it.
There's of him talking about the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
So Donald Trump had this press conference yesterday about grocery prices.
And then Donald Trump mentioned the Afghanistan withdrawal.
The essence of what is happening on the ground in Afghanistan right now is a microcosm of
what is going to occur if Kamala Harris takes over the entire country.
And she is currently running the country, just so we are clear.
She is currently running our government.
She couldn't care less about this military parade.
Let me say again what should have happened.
If we got wind that they were going to do a military parade with our equipment.
We have drones in the region.
We should have just carpet bombed the parade.
We could have given heads up.
Be like, hey, you guys are going to parade with our stuff.
Get the women and children out of the way.
We're going to bomb our own equipment.
It's our stuff after all.
Instead, the Taliban is trying to remind you, America is not what it once was.
What a perfect example.
We're not what we once were economically.
We're not what we once were?
And by the way, we should have bombed this equipment three years ago.
Why did we not bomb it on the way out?
If we were really about bombing it, by the way, I think we could have gotten it out.
It's not worth getting equipment out that's worth $100 billion.
This is what D.C.
does with your taxpayer dollars.
There's so much wrong with this.
Not only is it wrong morally and philosophically, it's also just terrible fiscal policy.
This is President Trump mentioning it yesterday.
I think he should do an entire event on this.
I think he's got to lean in.
I think this is much bigger than people realize.
The media has completely whitewashed this.
I think that if most Americans knew that at the Afghanistan Taliban, after 20 years, almost every swing voter in Pennsylvania has some connection to someone who served in the Afghan war.
Remember, as I said previously, Afghanistan destroyed Biden's numbers.
Let's play cut 176.
Speaking of Afghanistan, the single most embarrassing day in the history of our country.
And yesterday I saw the, you know, they gave $85 billion worth of brand new military equipment.
Equipment that I, I rebuilt the military, so this was equipment that to a large extent I bought.
But brand new, and they had a parade yesterday, a beautiful parade.
We were going to get out with dignity and strength.
We were there for 21 years.
And we were going to keep Bagram because it's one hour away.
Bagram is this massive air force base that I visited.
It's a massive base that we're going to keep it because it's one hour, not because of Afghanistan, but because it's one hour away from where China makes its nuclear weapons.
And they were showing it off yesterday, but the fact is that China now controls Bagram.
China, can you imagine that?
And we left.
We were going to stay there.
We were going to keep it.
We were going to get out with dignity, strength.
We were going to take our soldiers out last, not first.
So he's on the right message.
He's got to show, not tell.
I appreciate all that.
I think you did a good job there.
But instead, I think the next time he talks about this, he's got to show the screens and the projectors of exactly what's going there.
Okay, let's go to J.D.
Vance for a second here.
Of course, good friend of mine.
We want to support J.D.
Let's listen in on J.D.
Vance's press conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
To just be a citizen who wants basic public safety in this country.
So Kamala Harris is on a tour where she's trying to redefine her record as a tough on crime prosecutor.
And yet if you look at Kamala Harris' record as a prosecutor, it is the opposite of tough on crime.
For example, Kamala Harris pursued a policy that would recategorize people who had committed
sex crimes with minors and people who had raped unconscious victims as nonviolent crimes.
And what does that mean?
That means those people get out of prison earlier.
That means their victims have to suffer the psychological abuse of seeing them walking
around our streets sooner.
And that means the police officer have a few more sickos that they have to take care of
instead of being in prison where those sex offenders belong.
If Kamala Harris was so tough on crime, why is she making it easier for sex offenders to get out of prison?
I think the media should ask her that question.
Of course, Kamala Harris refuses to answer questions, but this is important stuff.
I grew up in a family where we didn't have a whole lot of money, and I was raised by a tough-as-nails grandmother who, despite the fact that we didn't always live in the easiest neighborhood, We had something that our country believed every child deserved, whether they were rich or poor, our country believed that every child deserved public safety.
And as Republicans, we don't think the government should do everything, but the things that it needs to do, it has to do well, and public safety is at the very top of the list.
How can you have a country, how can you have an American dream, how can you have Poor children who look to the future with optimism and hope if they can't walk down the streets of their neighborhood safely.
And these police officers fight to make that a reality every single day.
And Kamala Harris is making their job harder, and Donald Trump is going to make their lives easier.
That's why we're going to reelect him the 47th president of the United States
So, let me just offer one final observation here because he has some of these issues are connected
Some of these problems are obviously linked to one another and talking at the roundtable with the police officers and the sheriffs really drove that point home.
So I talked to one sheriff who lives about an hour away from downtown Milwaukee.
And even though he lives an hour away from downtown Milwaukee, he has Mexican drug cartel members who have been doing business selling drugs and harming the citizens of his community.
When you hear Republicans say every state is a border state, that is not just a slogan.
That is a sad reflection of the reality that we have drug cartels operating about as far north in this country as we possibly could.
What a disgrace.
You hear people talk about arresting illegal immigrants and how the illegal immigrants completely run away, refuse to obey the commands of law enforcement.
Why?
Why do they completely refuse to obey the commands of law enforcement?
Because they got into this country in the first place under the promise that law enforcement wouldn't stop them and wouldn't enforce the law.
So the border policies that we have at the southern border They make our communities less safe even as far north as Wisconsin.
It means Mexican drug cartels operating in our communities.
It means people dying of fentanyl.
I talked to another police officer who talked about we have fentanyl not just in heroin and opioids and even prescription pills or I guess I guess non-prescription pills that are sold on the street.
We've got heroin and we've got fentanyl, excuse me, we've got fentanyl in our marijuana bags that our teenagers are using.
And look, I'm the parent of three young kids.
My wife is here, and I'm thrilled to have her join.
We've got a seven-year-old, a four-year-old, and a two-year-old.
We don't have to worry about this yet.
But I'm certain, because kids are kids, that one day, one of my kids is going to take something or do something that I don't want them to take.
But I don't want that mistake to ruin their life.
I want them to learn from it.
I want their parents to be able to punish them.
I don't want our kids to make mistakes on American streets and have it take their lives away from them.
That is in some ways what this fentanyl crisis has done.
Normal American teenager mistakes have become death sentences because Kamala Harris refuses to do her job.
And I think it's time for all of us to say to Kamala Harris, You want a promotion?
You want a promotion after your record as Vice President?
We think you ought to be fired, and that's exactly what we're going to do come November.
Thank you all for being here.
To the police officers...
To the police officers, we support you.
We love you.
We know it's not easy to be a police officer.
We know we're losing a lot of good people from the force.
Some due to retirement, but some, they're just sick of all the garbage.
But I'd ask you, keep at it for as long as you can.
Keep doing this important work because there are a lot of us out there who are grateful for it.
In about six months, your job's going to become a hell of a lot easier.
God bless you guys, and thank you for having me here in Wisconsin.
What we'll do here is we'll take a few questions from reporters before we get on our way.
And what I would ask is, we'll get to the national reporters if we've got time, but if you're a local Wisconsin reporter, either in the Milwaukee area or outside of it, maybe start there, raise your hand, and I'll call on you first.
So we got anybody?
Ma'am, in the NEL address.
Okay, everybody, that is JD Vance, who, by the way, is I think the all-star of the last two weeks.
I think J.D.
Vance has been just absolutely terrific.
I want your thoughts.
Freedom at CharlieKirk.com.
Have you guys been happy that you're seeing from J.D.
Vance?
And just so we are clear, there are two coming obstacles for this campaign for Trump that we know of.
They're going to have more.
And yes, they might do monkey pox or some sort of stupid stuff like that.
Number one is the DNC.
That's going to be annoying.
We'll have to navigate that thicket.
That is, unless the Hamas crew does it for us.
Number two is sentencing.
They very well might sentence Donald Trump to prison in September.
We have to keep our eyes on that.
And I think what they're going to do, they're going to sentence Donald Trump effective in 2025.
Trying to hurt him politically, but he still can campaign.
That is my guess.
I hope I'm wrong.
Somebody asked, Charlie, what is the point of J.D.
Vance talking to small groups?
Because it's not about the group.
It's a press conference.
It's for all the cameras, all the millions of people at home that are watching this.
I think J.D.
Vance is doing a wonderful job.
All right, let me read more emails here that we've received.
Sierra says, regarding Afghanistan, there are numerous troops that were also maimed, losing arms and legs.
I'm not sure of the count or list of injuries.
Thank you for your patriotism.
God bless you.
And thank you.
Thank you for your efforts in Arizona.
Sierra says, God bless you, Sierra.
That's a very important point.
You're exactly right.
Let's go here.
Yeah, let's go to J.D.
No one talks about the interpreters and thousands of US allies that were abandoned and betrayed
by our government, that were promised to protect them to get them to the US.
The 300 plus killed the thousands in hiding and the Taliban now use our weapons equipment
to kill them and hunt them.
Very smart point, Joshua.
We betrayed them.
Yeah, let's go to JD Vance.
My man who is crushing it.
Let's hear J.D.
Vance taking questions live from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Say they know that he just is who he is, right?
I'd much rather have a political candidate who I disagreed with 25% of the time but was a real human being and was willing to speak off the cuff than to have somebody like Kamala Harris who hides behind a teleprompter and doesn't speak to the American people directly Unless she's got a script in front of her telling her exactly what to say.
I think the unscripted nature of President Trump is one of the reasons why his campaign gives a pretty good insight into the kind of president that he's going to be.
Now that said, we are focusing a lot on policy.
We're here in Wisconsin today.
Talking about public safety.
I was in Pennsylvania yesterday talking about veterans issues.
I was in Michigan the day before talking about how we have to stop the trade and energy policies that ship all of our manufacturing jobs to China.
When Donald Trump was president, 12,000 American factories opened.
The previous two terms, 60,000 American factories had closed.
So we are talking about the policy and we're talking about the issues and we're going to keep on doing that.
But my only advice to my running mate is be yourself.
And let people see who you are, and I think he's doing that every day on the campaign trail.
Anything else?
Jason Calvi with Fox 6 here in Milwaukee.
Democrats are criticizing your visit here to the police union.
They say, you know, you're running mate is a convicted felon.
They also pointed January 6th.
Your reaction to that?
Well look, I think that Kamala Harris has weaponized the Department of Justice, not just against my running mate, not just against President Trump, but against a whole host of normal Americans for just exercising their First Amendment rights.
I mean, not maybe the most significant scandal, but certainly a very large scandal, is the Department of Justice went after a pro-life Catholic father of seven for exercising his right to peacefully protest.
The Department of Justice showed up, the Department of Justice leadership had officers show up
at this guy's house and treat him like a common thug for exercising his right of First Amendment
protest.
And I think that every single police officer here would agree with me when they say that
we want a strong Department of Justice that focuses on law enforcement.
Why don't they focus on shutting down the drug traffickers at the southern border and
the sex traffickers and let Americans exercise their First Amendment rights?
That's not what the leadership of the Department of Justice should be focused on, but unfortunately, under Kamala Harris, it has.
So, I think that we are clearly the party and the movement of law enforcement.
You talk to the field guys and the FBI, the people who are actually on the ground dealing with the bad guys, and they're as frustrated with their leadership as we are.
We just want American leadership to empower law enforcement to enforce the laws.
It's going to make us all safer if we do that.
Any other local Wisconsin folks?
If not, I'll take a couple from the National Pool.
Okay, sir.
Senator Vance, Chris Cameron with the New York Times.
You were talking about the relationship between crime and immigration, and my question is on that issue.
Please.
In an interview when you were running for Senate in September 2021, you were speaking with Jack Murphy, and you were talking about previous waves of immigration to the United States.
You said the following, you had this massive wave of primarily Italian, Irish, and German immigration, and that had its problems and that had its consequences.
You pointed to these problems as being higher crime rates, ethnic enclaves, and inter-ethnic conflict.
Should the United States have prescribed similar policies to what you're proposing now, including mass deportation, to deal with those issues?
Well, first of all, I also said there were a lot of benefits to that wave of immigration.
But has anybody ever seen the movie, Games of New York?
That's what I'm talking about.
We know that when you have these massive ethnic enclaves forming in our country, it can sometimes lead to higher crime rates.
What we want is an American immigration policy that promotes assimilation.
No matter where you come from, you can become an American, but only if we have an immigration policy
that promotes assimilation, instead of doing things like what we've done over the last few years,
which is have 20, 25 million illegal aliens just setting up shop here with no control,
no enforcement, and no real ability to police what's going on.
That is a disaster.
And in fact, what we did back in the early 20th century is that we recognized,
and I think that we have to do that today, we recognized that at a certain level,
America is a welcoming country to immigrants, but can only take so many people.
We cannot take the entire world into this country.
And I think that we're at a stage right now where we have to say, we've got to slow those illegal immigration levels to zero.
We do have to deport some people who have come here illegally, and I think that will promote assimilation and a common American culture that's in the best interest of everybody.
Look, I'm married to the daughter of South Asian immigrants.
One of the reasons why I think that we have such a wonderful and successful marriage is because we both very much feel like America is our home, like our children belong here.
It's beautiful.
J.D.
Vance with a great answer on immigration.
That's exactly how you have to answer it.
Talking about no more illegal immigration.
Yes, of course, we're going to bring some people into the country if we need them.
On our terms.
Newcomers come to our country on our terms.
And then he segues to his wife and that story about a combined American culture.
Our home.
J.D.
Vance is in terrific form.
He's in fighting shape right now.
And I just, I told the campaign, I told J.D., every single day, you should be doing a press conference with J.D.
