We're going to start today discussing a movie from 1944.
The movie is called Gaslight.
Now Gaslight is a film that is a psychological thriller.
It's also a play from 1938.
It tells the story of Paula Alquist.
A young woman who moves back into her late aunt's London home with her new husband, Gregory Anton.
As Gregory manipulates and deceives her, he gradually convinces her that she is losing her sanity.
He does this by dimming the gas lights and insisting that the flickering is merely her imagination.
All while secretly searching the house for valuable jewels.
The film explores themes of manipulation and mental abuse, culminating in Paula's eventual realization of Gregory's true intentions and her struggle to regain her sense of reality.
This explains it partially.
Let's play Cut 12.
Now, there's actually a type of manipulation called gaslighting.
And what gaslighting is, it comes from a 1944 film called Gaslight, starring Ingrid Bergman.
And it's about a woman who is manipulated by her husband into believing that she is going crazy.
We kind of find out the husband is actually just using the marriage in order to find something valuable that belongs to her.
But she believes she's going crazy because he was rifling through the attic at night.
And what happened in those days is if you turned on the light in one room, it would dim all the other lights throughout the house because there was only a certain amount of gas that could light the whole house.
And so you knew somebody else was in the house in another room turning on the light if you saw the lights flicker.
And so she noticed that the lights would flicker every night after her husband had gone away somewhere, supposedly maybe to see friends or whatnot.
He was actually going to the attic.
But he convinces her that what she's seeing is not true.
She's imagining that the gaslight is going down, when in reality she knows.
She knows better, but she believes him.
So that's what it means to gaslight somebody, is to convince them to deny their own reality.
So gaslighting from an abuser makes a victim doubt their own instincts and sense of reality.
Credit to Prism Counseling and Coaching on YouTube for that great summary.
So it requires an abuser and a victim.
We were gaslit during COVID.
During COVID we were told that early interventions will do nothing.
We were told that you must wear masks when you shower.
When you drive alone in the car, we were told that children must be locked down.
We were told to stay inside, to be six feet away.
Every time that you invoke the term gaslight, there is an abuser and there is a victim.
With COVID, the abuser was the media.
It was Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson.
And then there is the victim.
We, the American people, were the victim.
During COVID we learned that 85 to 90 percent of the population can be convinced to believe a lie and is afraid to do something about it.
During the lockdowns we saw the horror of the country becoming the most suicidal, alcohol addicted, drug addicted in history and we were told to stay safe because the media Says you must have 15 days to slow the spread six feet apart unless of course you're part of a BLM protest and you're burning down the streets of Atlanta.
That is a perfect example of gaslighting.
Wait a second, that's not mostly peaceful.
They're burning down Minneapolis.
No, it's mostly peaceful in the pursuit of racial justice.
There's always an abuser and there is a victim.
Kamala Harris is the perfect gaslighting candidate.
The same playbook that was used during COVID is now being deployed in full, ferocious support of Kamala Harris.
People are asking me, Charlie, am I losing my mind?
We had an amazing event last evening in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Steve Smotherman and his great church, Legacy Church.
We had 2,750 people there, standing room only in Blue, New Mexico.
We were meeting some folks there beforehand and they'd come up and said, Charlie, I... One person said, Charlie, I thought that Donald Trump came up with the no tax on tips.
But I was watching the news and they said that Kamala Harris is going to say there's no tax on tips.
And they said, am I losing my mind?
I said, no.
You're being gaslit.
You are being abused by the media.
You are being tortured.
No different in a manipulative relationship.
She is the Borders are.
No, she wasn't.
She was never the Borders are.
We have tape.
No, no, no.
You're making that up.
It's a figment of your imagination.
We're told that Kamala Harris is tough on crime, even though that she donated to a bail fund to allow the worst people in society during Floyd Appaloosa to get out of jail.
No tax on tips?
We're told that that is her brilliant idea.
She is now carbon copying Donald Trump's idea of no tax on tips.
Just look right here.
This is cut one.
Donald Trump announcing the idea of no tax on tips on June 9th, 2024, and Kamala Harris With zero regard for the truth, plays into the gaslighting strategy, and the applause?
Yeah!
Kamala!
Yeah, even though she's the sitting vice president, and she could tell the IRS to lay off the service industry, you are seeing the largest psychological manipulation program since COVID.
Why?
Because they worked out the kinks during COVID.
They saw how easy it is to get the sheep to follow The signal.
How easy it is to manipulate.
Play cut one.
Because when I get to office, we are going to not charge taxes on tips.
People making tips.
Eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers.
But it's, it's you.
You're losing your mind.
You're being told that she's the most popular person ever.
I remember when we had articles about how her staff was dysfunctional.
That she was unable to manage.
That she had 92% turnover of people that worked for her.
We remember when she was not able to answer Lester Holt.
When have you been to the border?
Lester Holt said.
And she says, I haven't been to Europe!
Or she was able to, she was fumbled over the most basic questions and now she is being lifted up by the entire regime propaganda leviathan as the second coming.
And people are falling for it.
There is a logical fallacy that I keep on running into at the grassroots.
And the logical fallacy is, oh people are going to wake up.
I said, why do you think people are going to wake up?
They said, that's just the way it is.
I said, did they wake up during COVID?
It took years of grinding and hustle and us persevering through censorship.
It took us 18 months to even make a little progress on the vaccine.
Just a little bit progress.
They need to wake up now.
We don't have four years to To unwind the gaslighting.
We don't have 18 months to get people to lift the scales from their eyes.
We have 84 days.
And that's why the media is so bullish.
They know that they can lie to you, manipulate you, and gaslight you.
And they know they can pull this off.
It's just a matter of time.
And the only thing that stands between a Kamala Harris presidency is you.
that still have a memory and know what the media is doing to us on a minute by minute Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here.

Let's just watch a little bit from the film, the 1944 film.
You know that the term gaslight had almost no, or being gaslit, no usage until about 2013, 14, 15?
It was just brought out from the annals of history, resurrected, and now people have some understanding.
And it is, you are constantly being abused by somebody who has a power role above you.
Here's a little bit of the taste of the film.
Play cut 16.
It was written two days before she was murdered.
Where did you find that?
In this score.
She must have left it here.
It's written by somebody called Sergius Fowler.
Give it to me!
Slowly and systematically being driven out of your mind.
I know Kamala Harris is a cackling fool.
I know she's a communist.
Nope, she's not.
being driven out of your mind. Why? Why? Slowly and systematically being driven out of your mind.
I know Kamala Harris is a cackling fool. I know she's a communist. Nope, she's not.
She's the most likable person ever. She's warm.
She's sincere.
And it's a drip, drip, drip strategy.
I'm watching these advertisements.
They're pumping tens of millions of dollars.
Kamala Harris is tough on crime.
Kamala Harris wasn't the most liberal senator.
Kamala Harris is a moderate, a dealmaker.
This is effective.
We can laugh at it.
We can discount it.
We are a very easily manipulated country.
We do not think things through in this country.
And COVID showed that.
It is the same blueprint.
It is the same rubric.
And it's done in five ways.
Number one, through outright lies, otherwise called misinformation or disinformation.
The activist media is doing nothing to cover the fact that Kamala Harris is currently the Vice President of the United States.
I have a theory, and Ryan mentioned this last week, and I think it's very smart.
We win this election if we can remind people she's actually the current Vice President of the United States.
Not some sort of challenger, not a senator, not a governor.
I think we win this election if we can make the point she currently has significant power over the federal government.
She's running these advertisements.
Oh yes, I'm going to make homes affordable.
Well, why don't you do it Kamala Harris?
You are Vice President of the United States and the president that you're serving with is not exactly there right now.
Why don't you put together a legislative package and get it done right now before the election?
Because it's all for votes.
It is naked pandering.
She's not an outsider.
She is the system.
She is the reason why you can't afford groceries, that you can't go on vacation.
She's the reason that you can't afford a home.
She's the reason why the border is open, and why Ukraine got invaded by Russia.
She went to the Munich Security Conference, and she was such a fool, Putin was like, forget this, I'm going in.
She is part of the cabal, the Politburo.
But the media makes it seem as if she's this upstart.
That she's Barack Obama, who's never served in office before.
No track record, no record.
Not the fact that she allowed violent criminals to go free, and that she raised money in a bail fund.
So the first is misinformation and disinformation.
Gaslighting, the population then goes through step two, downplaying serious issues.
They sit down with J.D.
Vance, by the way, we're gonna go in great detail with J.D.
Vance, because J.D.
Vance was the All-Star this weekend, and for someone who pushed J.D.
Vance significantly, both privately and publicly with President Trump, felt good, because I think he put the entire campaign on his back yesterday, and did an amazing job.
Downplaying serious issues.
They sit down with J.D.
Vance, CNN, they ask three questions about childless cat ladies.
And not a single question about looming nuclear war, Iran retaliatory strikes over Israel, the fact that Kamala Harris is the Vice President, not a serious question about the invasion, child sex trafficking, 88,000 missing kids, that homes are no longer affordable, that it requires $50,000 a year more to be able to own a home in this country.
Not a single question about that.
But instead, JD Vance, you said some very offensive things about childless cat ladies three years ago.
Can you please apologize, get on your knees, grovel, and then kiss my toes and buy me a cat?
And he's like, this is the third question on this.
And you're not even talking to Kamala Harris.
Number three.
Contradictory reporting.
When you gaslight the population, you frequently change narratives, or providing conflicting reports on the same issue, which can confuse the audience.
Making them uncertain about what is true.
I have all the networks up on screen here.
NBC, ABC.
Literally ABC just popped up here.
You know what the chyron was?
Kamala Harris pledges no tax on tips.
Right there.
On ABC.
She's the current vice president.
She could do something about it.
She could tell the IRS right now, lay off all service workers.
But she doesn't actually mean it.
Whatever it takes to get political power, whatever it takes, that is the modus operandi, the prime directive of Kamala Harris.
Number four, creating false equivalencies.
Presenting two sides of an issue as equally valid when one side is based on falsehoods or misinformation.
Best example is the border.
Kamala Harris is running ads right now in Arizona saying that she believes that we must secure the southern border.
You're being gaslit.
They're turning down the light.
You say, isn't it getting dark in here?
I can't see.
No, no, no.
You're the one losing your mind.
Plebeian.
You surf.
Vote for us or I'm gonna raid your home.
Let's read Donald Trump's latest tweet, then I want to finish on the gaslighting, then we get to J.D.
Let's go to this.
This is Donald Trump's tweet.
He is now tweeting about time.
He says, quote, are you better off than you were when I was president?
Our economy is shattered. Our border has been erased. We're a nation in decline.
Make the American dream affordable again. Make America safe again. Make America great again.
It seems this is all harmonized with the upcoming Donald Trump, Elon Musk interview tonight.
Elon Musk is all in for Donald Trump.
He's donating to Donald Trump.
He is opening up his platform.
And here is a serious question.
Can Kamala Harris do an interview with Elon Musk?
She wouldn't want to.
Would Kamala Harris be able to do a sit-down Twitter X space with Elon Musk?
Of course not.
The final part of gaslighting is selective amplification.
Focusing heavily on sensational stories while downplaying or ignoring important ones, but less dramatic news can skew public perception and distract from critical issues.
These practices can erode trust in reliable sources and make it difficult for people to discern truth, leading them to question their own perceptions and beliefs.
Perfect example is, J.D.
Vance said something sarcastic three years ago.
Meanwhile, we have critical issues that are impacting the body politic of this nation, the people who own this country, the citizens, and they refuse to talk about.
So the media gaslights in five ways to recap.
Misinformation, disinformation, and lies.
Number two, downplaying serious issues.
Three, contradictory reporting.
Four, creating false equivalencies.
Five, selective amplification.
And here is the mission.
And JD Vance, he moved the ball forward this weekend.
It's a perfect segue.
We have to do what took us three years in 84 days.
Actually, less than that.
Because early voting is starting right around the corner.
Wisconsin votes in 43 days.
Arizona votes in 56 days.
Pennsylvania votes in 35 days.
North Carolina votes in 25 days.
Election Day is the last day of voting.
It is the final day of voting, not the first day of voting.
So we have 25 days.
Until North Carolina starts voting.
We have 25 days to reverse the gaslighting that we, and we were in the minority, and many people in the audience, they were sending us the nastiest messages.
Charlie, why won't you take the vaccine?
Charlie, the vaccine's the best thing ever.
Charlie, why won't you wear a mask?
And we were so clear on COVID.
I don't think we've ever received, not that we need it, but I think it's very important.
We were Without a doubt, one of the earliest, one of the most clear, and one of the most correct shows out there when it came to COVID.
We were against the bailouts.
We were against the deficit spending.
We were in favor of early treatments.
We were the tip of the spear.
We never really got credit for it because there's a lot of COVID revisionism of people that were all about, oh my goodness, this is the worst thing ever.
We were early.
In fact, we went on Steve Hilton's program a couple weeks after this whole nonsense started, and we said, we cannot allow the cure to be worse than the disease.
And we came under smear and slander.
The New York Times, can, Andrew, can you pull up that New York Times article four years ago?
Charlie Kirk, major, major, uh, disinformation artist.
So we now have our mission.
What is our mission?
All of us together, you and the audience, us, we must now do what it took us 18 months to three years to get people to wake up.
Oh, wow.
Let me be clear.
New York shut down their restaurants.
L.A.
shut down their restaurants.
But you can fly non-stop on United Airlines from Newark, New Jersey to L.A.
and you can eat next to people on the plane.
Make it make sense.
Gavin Newsom goes and eats at a fancy restaurant while they destroy small businesses.
The New York Times wrote four years ago, For Charlie Kirk, conservative activist, the virus is a cudgel.
Mixing, matching, and twisting facts about the coronavirus online, Mr. Kirk has created a template for a new kind of political agitator.
was four years ago being relentlessly attacked and we lost access to our social media and all of that
so we must it is mission critical we must go into their spaces we must go on CNN we must go on NBC
we must host press conferences I just added more campus stops over the weekend.
The team is losing their mind.
You hear that shrieking?
That's the team.
I said, I don't care.
We're going to win this thing.
We're going for it.
We're going to take it by the neck, and we're going to win this thing.
We're not going to do it by sitting idly by.
You're going to go chase 100 ballots, and if you don't chase 100 ballots, I don't have a good answer for you.

I believe JD Vance picked up the entire movement of the campaign for a short period of time
and he put it on his back and he said, let's go.
JDV.
Vance went into the nastiest, ugliest, most unfair environments.
Three of them.
J.D.
Vance did three long-form sit-down interviews this weekend.
And he put on a masterclass.
And I just want to repeat something I said previously.
As somebody who was an enthusiastic JD pusher in first the Ohio Senate race, and a lot of people thought we were wacky, and I still have a lot of the emails of many of you in the audience that attacked me for that.
Oh, Charlie, he's a rhino.
I said, eh, tuned you all out because I knew I was right.
And then people said, oh, Charlie, he's going to be a, why is he the VP, blah, blah, blah, he's too young.
I said, I tuned it all.
I knew I was right.
It's a great lesson in that when you know you're right to tune out the haters and you keep pushing and you keep pushing and you keep pushing.
Again, I'm not taking credit for the fact that J.D.
got the VP nomination, but we did everything we could.
You know who deserves the credit?
President Trump deserves the credit.
He's the one that deserves the credit for making the choice, and he was the one that tuned out all the other noise from the donor class, the billionaire oligarchs, and he chose J.D.
Vance.
So J.D.
Vance sat down with CNN, he sat down with ABC, and he sat down with CBS.
Kamala Harris has yet to do any of this, and she's the nominee, let alone the VP nominee.
He sat down for three, count it, one, two, three, and he just played them like a fiddle.
They didn't know what to do.
This was a triple header.
Let's play Cut 5.
J.D.
Vance sits down with CNN.
Again, this is the gaslighting program.
We have a wide open border.
We have war looming in every hemisphere.
People cannot afford homes.
They can't afford groceries.
And what does CNN do?
They ask J.D.
Vance, do you think Kamala Harris is black?
This is textbook, blueprint gaslighting.
How do you fight back against gaslighting?
Enter, stage right, J.D.
Vance.
Play Cut 5.
I believe that Kamala Harris is whatever she says she is.
But I believe, importantly, that President Trump is right, that she's a chameleon.
She pretends to be one thing in front of one audience.
She pretends to be something different in front of another audience.
Look, Dana, she's not running a political campaign.
She's running a movie.
She only speaks to voters behind a teleprompter.
Everything is scripted.
She doesn't have her policy positions out there.
She hasn't answered why she wanted to ban fracking, but now she doesn't.
She wanted to fund police, but now she doesn't.
She wanted to open the border but now she doesn't.
She should have to answer for why she presents a different set of policies to one audience and a different set of policies to another audience and I think that's what President Trump is getting at.
This is a fundamentally fake person.
She's different depending on who she's in front of.
The media used to say that when she wasn't the second coming of Barack Obama.
The media used to say, you know that she has a really bad reputation with her staff, and she's unlikable, and she cackles, and she's kind of fake.
And JD Vance goes right into it.
How do you defeat the gaslighting operation?
Like that.
You look at them in the eyes.
You go on their turf.
You go on their networks.
We only started to win on COVID when they even started to platform us.
The good news is at least they'll platform us right now.
And yes, you might have to sit down with Jonathan Karl and Dana Bash.
You might have to hear some of their nonsense.
Two months ago, two months ago, the arguments for keeping Biden was, well, we'd have to use Kamala and she's awful.
And the Hollywood crowd, and that's what I love why JD said she's a movie.
This is a Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, Steven Spielberg special.
They memory hold all the past, and they created this new mirage, and that's what she is.
She is a mirage.
She's fake, artificial, and she's synthetic.
She is scripted.
We have the truth on our side.
She's a deeply unlikable, not wise person.
She is a hologram, and we can turn that light off at any minute.
But it's going to first require a massive undoing of this gaslighting project.
Remember, she was so hated that she came in dead last in the primary.
I have like five very simple, fair questions that I would love some reporter to ask Kamala Harris.
Vice President Harris, you're running for the presidency.
Thank you.
You're currently the Vice President of the United States.
Did you ever see any moments when Joe Biden showed a mental decline or a decrease in mental acuity?
How would she answer that?
And then she'll do some sort of thing.
Okay, but if that's the case, if you've never saw any of it, then you didn't see what the rest of America saw on debate night?
There is no good answer to that, by the way.
And that regular, normal, everyday people, they keep on bringing up things like, well, didn't she know?
Of course she knew.
She covered for it.
And then she was involved in the coup to remove him.
Email us freedom at charliekirk.com.
Go to commit100.
We are up against a force, the likes of which we thought COVID, we knew COVID was a test run.
We knew that it was a dry run, a dress rehearsal.
We did not know for what.
And now it is clear.
They worked out the kinks, they ironed out the edges, and they just dusted off that playbook.
They said, ah, we have this unlikable cackling communist, the most liberal U.S.
Senator.
This election we won or lost based on a ground game.
But we talked about that a lot.
But more importantly, whether or not that we can thwart this gaslighting operation.
JD Vance put on a masterclass.
Let's play Cut 2.
He's sitting down with Dana Bash.
This is just the CNN.
We gotta get to the ABC and the CBS.
This is a triple header.
And he went three for three.
Kamala Harris never could.
You think Kamala Harris would sit down with three reporters?
By the way, these are friendly people to Kamala Harris.
Deep down, they're all voting for Kamala Harris.
Deep down, they're contributing to Kamala Harris.
Deep down, their husbands and their wives are all sitting on boards for Kamala Harris.
They're going to cocktail parties and soirees.
It would be like, hey, JD Vance, can you go sit down with an interview with Charlie Kirk, Breitbart, and if we really throw you a curveball, can you sit down with an interview with The Federalist?
These are all friends.
This is regime media and she won't even sit down with them.
She won't sit down with Dana Bash?
This is Cut 2.
This is how you break the spell of gaslighting.
It's a hypnotic type thing.
They make you believe that childless cat ladies is bigger than nuclear war, people can't afford homes, civil unrest, crime in the streets.
That's something J.D.
Vance said three years ago on a podcast, like that is a civilizational altering issue.
You break the spell by leaning in.
Play Cut 2.
Okay, you've now asked me three questions about comments that I made three years ago.
I wonder what Kamala Harris thinks about the fact that she supported policies that opened the American southern border.
I wonder what Kamala Harris thinks about the fact that she lied to the American people about Joe Biden's mental...
Middle facility for the office.
You are interviewing me, Dana, because I respect the American people enough to sit down for an interview.
I appreciate that.
Kamala Harris has been the nominee for three weeks.
She hasn't sat down for a real interview.
Believe me, we are asking.
You're not going to get a disagreement there.
But the point is, Dana, you've got me for 15 minutes or however long you have me.
We should be talking about public policies that matter.
How are we going to lower inflation?
How are we going to reduce the cost of food and housing?
How are we going to close down that southern border?
We've talked so little about that.
We've talked a lot more about a sarcastic remark I made three years ago.
I think we should talk about the issues that most Americans care about.
Boom.
Owned.
Next one.
ABC.
JD Vance sits on ABC and goes all in on the child-kidnapping radicalism of the trans-zealotry of Tim Walz.
Play cut four.
President Trump said, John, is that Tim Walz has supported taking children from their parents if the parents don't consent to gender reassignment.
That is crazy.
And by the way, Tim Walz gets on his high horse about mind your own damn business.
One way of minding your own damn business, John, is to not try to take my children away from me if I have different moral views than you.
It's not happening and it's good that it is!
I just explained to you, I would describe as kidnapping, John.
He has absolutely done this stuff.
It's not crazy, John.
Come on.
It's not what he's doing.
You should not be able to take people's children away from them.
And that's not what he's proposed.
If you disagree with decisions about gender reassignment, yes, he has proposed that, John.
He absolutely has.
It's not happening, and it's good that it is.
So which is it, John Curl?
They can never be called out to their face.
Their automatic thing is, there's no late-term abortions.
That's not happening.
And J.D.
Vance says, yes, it is, John.
And then he triples down.
I would call that kidnapping.
And that is correct.
Tim Walz has supported state-sanctioned trans kidnapping.
And finally, after he beat around ABC, he said, eh.
Why not one more?
CBS, what do you got?
I mean, you know the alpha energy?
The baller attitude that it takes to go 3-for-3 on Sunday shows?
I mean, just most politicians, they prep all week.
It's all very scripted and they all leak the questions in advance.
JD says, who do you got?
Come on in.
Who do you got?
Come on in.

What kind of C-rate person you got at CBS News?

President Trump said Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi were lovely individuals when he was speaking in Montana last night.
Do you agree with that characterization?
I think that President Trump gets along with world leaders and there's nothing wrong with him complimenting them as people if it makes him more effective diplomatically.
And there's an irony here.
That's different than walking in and laying down the law to shoe-jamping.
No, it's not, actually.
Because you're better able to lay down the law, like President Trump did, if you actually have a good relationship with people and they trust you to follow your word.
We have to remember that Democrats, including Kamala Harris, attacked Donald Trump for having a good relationship with Vladimir Putin.
Well, when Donald Trump was president, Vladimir Putin didn't invade another country.
When Kamala Harris was vice president, he did.
So maybe they should take a lesson from Trump's playbook about diplomatic legitimacy, because I think Donald Trump got a lot done because world leaders respected him.
