When I want to get a pulse of what is happening, especially with the media and polling, I have Raheem Kassam on the program.
He's a very smart person.
He's wicked smart.
He really understands trends, especially across the Western Hemisphere.
He's lived through a couple populist revolts that have been successful and some that have been unsuccessful.
It is THE National Pulse, Editor-in-Chief.
That is THE National Pulse.
Raheem welcomes the program.
Raheem, lots to get into.
First, let me just kind of get a pulse check.
Get it?
What is the state of the race right now?
Yeah, Charlie.
Look, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and I think a lot of people are a little bit too chipper about what Kamala portends in this election.
I would view it as a reset moment for the left.
I think she does bring some, obviously, some pretty hefty baggage with her.
We are going to see kind of a reset factor play out here over the next couple of days and weeks.
That's not to say that the honeymoon period, as you call it over here, will last all the way through to the election.
But there are some major, major set piece events, not least, of course, the sentencing of President Trump in September, which will also factor into this.
and the ability for Kamala's campaign to kind of reset.
You know, they've got a big problem with the Muslim, with the Arab votes that usually come out for them en masse
in places like Michigan, to be able to do a reset on a lot of the policy decisions that were made
by her predecessor and recent boss, Joe Biden.
And so I think, you know, there's a lot of people who look at her as just sort of this cackling
and grinning idiot.
Unfortunately, while that may be the case, she has also been an extremely shrewd and savvy political actor.
She has been an extremely shrewd and savvy, let's say, networker all her life.
And I don't kind of want us to underestimate just how far the left will go to try and get
her over the line.
Remember, President Trump was impeached twice.
He was the subject of an assassination attempt recently.
There's also no doubt in my mind that somebody out there being radicalized may well try that
again, impeached twice, perhaps attempted to be shot twice.
And you've got to look at the messaging that Kamala's campaign is putting out there that
kind of furthers that chance of happening.
She has not rode back at all from the previous, you know, prior to the assassination, these
messages that they're putting out saying, President Trump is a threat to democracy.
He's going to put you all back in chains, as they once said.
And I think that is a doubling, if not tripling down on the rhetoric that will lead to further
I watched some of that violence happen here yesterday on Capitol Hill.
Those people, although they might have some problems with the Democrat Party and some problems with the Biden administration, remember they are still at their core leftists and they do still at their core want a leftist in government.
So here's an interesting question.
And I have an answer, but I want your answer first.
Is she going to be more difficult to defeat than Hillary in 2016?
I think, personally, I don't think she is more difficult to defeat as a human being and as a character and as a candidate in and of herself.
But I do believe the machine is far more difficult to beat than Hillary in 2016.
I think they learned in 2016 that they must cheat, they must steal, they must take part in all these different, you know, let's say, malleable parts on the fringes of certain
counties and election boards across the country. And I'm not entirely convinced that the
political right has done enough slash anything to account for that up to this point. There are
going to be alarm bells starting to ring, I guarantee you, in the next couple of weeks, just
about how little kind of there is in terms of changes there on the ground. And I think
people are going to be more enthused to take those risks. They are risks in a lot of cases that,
you know, what they do in so many of these places is.
It's illegal.
And I think people are more enthused to take those risks for someone like Kamala than someone like Joe.
And you only really have to look at the kinds of messages and new campaign ad that came out this morning to show that it really is an attempt to bury, and I use this term intentionally, to bury the Biden list of in achievements over the last three or four years and really start afresh.
Okay, so here's my take.
Well, I think that it will be harder in one way, but easier in another.
Harder because the Democrat machine is far superior than it was in 2016.
From ballot chasing, early voting, from voter registration, it is They have a sizable Leviathan that did not exist in 2016 that was birthed out of the resistance.
The resistance gave them the cash, gave them the personnel, gave them the manpower to basically build their dream political operation.
And it is very, very significant.
It is a beast.
However, in some ways, we have advantages.
Our movement is bigger.
Our movement is more battle-tested.
We now have Elon Musk X liberated, so we're able to have some more communication channels.
There's more alternative media that is able to speak out, like podcasting and the National Pulse, that did not exist back in 2016 or even 2020 as much.
We have Rumble as well, of course.
And then also I'll say this, is that Hillary Clinton was able to run as not an outsider, of course not an outsider, but she didn't have to really run on a record.
If we are effective It will come down to whether or not we are able to connect Kamala Harris to actually being the current vice president of this country.
If you notice all of her ads that she's doing, there's only a couple so far, they make it seem as if she's like an outsider fighting the system.
She is the sitting vice president of a failed regime and the border czar.
What do you make of that analysis, Rahim?
Yeah, that I totally agree with, especially that last part.
She is absolutely running from the record, and in fairness to her, she doesn't believe it's a record that she should have to own.
She reluctantly found her way on that ticket.
Remember, she was up there, the one calling Joe Biden a racist on the Democrat debates in 2020.
She really didn't find any great path to victory herself.
I mean, she was eviscerated by Tulsi Gabbard up on that stage.
And so she made a deal with the devil, as she's been known to do her entire life,
and she wants to sort of try and do that again.
The only problem for her in this regard is that she is now the devil,
and she is trying to do deals with herself, and that doesn't work.
To try and cancel out your own record, to try and say to the American public, hey, you know, it wasn't me, you know, the shaggy approach to running for office here.
You're right, you know, the Trump campaign, the political right, it does have its work set out for it.
But if you do manage to make that connection, if you manage to make that connection stick, and this is the thing, Axios is erasing its reporting.
Historical watch sites for, you know, like GovTrack erasing their histories of rating Kamala the most liberal senator when she was in the U.S.
Senate.
You are going to have to deal with that, too, because most people are not like you and I, Charlie.
They do not have so much time in the day to start going on, you know, archive websites and figuring all that out.
And you start to present them this information to say, no, but look, they deleted it here.
It still is.
and they go, oh, I don't know about that.
You know, this looks like some dodgy screen grab from somewhere or the other.
I get it all the time because a lot of the work, a lot of the reporting we do delves into archives like that.
And it's very hard to convince somebody that if a piece of information isn't freely available,
that if a link isn't freely available, then that, you know, that information is corroborated and
correct.
So it is an uphill struggle.
It will be an uphill struggle.
I gave a speech to the New York Young Republican Club just two nights ago where I said, if complacency were already an issue in this election, and it really, really was, and we've talked about it before on this show, then it is double the issue You know, no intellectual right to take the highest office, not just in America, but of course, the entire world.
And yet, and yet, look at how close some of the numbers are.
Alright, I need to tell you guys about StrongCell.
It's amazing.
With nearly a million units bought by you, it is more clear than ever that StrongCell works.
It works to combat fatigue, brain fog, joint pain, skin issues, and constant sickness.
I've been taking it personally for over a year now, and it's changed my life.
I take it in the morning with breakfast and it helps with natural energy, so I don't have that afternoon crash.
And it gives me the clarity of mind to do all that I do every day, which is a lot.
If you're tired of feeling tired, struggling with memory, or constantly getting sick, then you have to give StrongCell a try.

Rahim, let's go through this CNN poll here.
This is, the CNN poll is Harris up two, only among Hispanic voters.
This is very noteworthy, Rahim Kassam.
What is your reaction?
You sort of said some of the polling was settling.
I think I would give it another week or two for us really to be able to make, you know, longer term conclusions as to where Kamala stands with the American public.
And she will have her say over that over the next couple of weeks too, which is the first time we'll really sort Where is she most worried?
I think she'll be worried about young voters especially a lot of the data that's coming out is showing that she has about half the support Sorry, half the support difference, half the lead difference than Joe Biden had ostensibly, right, in 2020.
The other part of it will be the ethnic minority factor.
And they think, the Democrats think that, you know, if she leans into this, which she did try for the first
time in the last 24 hours, you know,
coming out of the record store, showing Porgy and Bess records off and that sort of thing,
that they will be able to stem some of the bleeding that they've seen with Hispanics in America,
and especially with the black voters of America.
Again, to come back to something we were talking about in the last segment,
the sentencing of President Trump in September will also factor into that.
We've seen how black Americans especially have responded to President Trump
being targeted by the justice system unfairly.
They almost have sort of this ingrained affinity with the lack of justice in the justice system
as it pertains to President Trump and what he's going through.
And so those are the kind of key elements that you've got to be watching for with Harris.
There will be popularity factors.
One of the reasons that no doubt Biden hasn't wanted to actually fully remove himself
from the equation, i.e. resign the office of president between now and the election
is so that she can use this period of time to define herself as something apart from his legacy,
something apart from this, you know, some say administration, I always say regime.
The numbers for me that are concerning, however, are the popularity factor.
And it's, look, it's not much more difficult to be more popular than Joe Biden,
but she is already off to a good start in establishing herself as a slightly less,
well, I say slightly less, massively less dull, boring, old, staid, gray character than Joe Biden.
And that will help her.
And I don't say any of these things because I believe them to be.
The latest CNN poll suggests that they are, that about 5%, I think they said, are.
ourselves in the shoes of people who have been sitting on the fence, independents, moderates,
and even some of the people who were throwing their hat in with President Trump.
And we've got to watch very carefully to see if they start to consider going back.
The latest CNN poll suggests that they are, that about 5%, I think they said, are, like
I said, though, we'll need to see two or three of those polls, a little bit more data on
this to be able to make that conclusion definitively.
So in closing here, Rahim, vice presidential selection, it's obvious she's going to choose
a white male unless she chooses Gretchen Whitmer, which I think is very unlikely.
But if she chooses a white male, I mean, it's an entire party that hates white men, so they're going to try to pretend that they don't.
Do you think a VP selection could dramatically change this election?
No, not really.
I don't think so.
I mean, I think you can shore her up in certain ways, but look, if she makes the wrong pick,
then it could really harm her in certain ways.
But I think she'll sort of try and go for that down the line, blue dog approach.
You know, Roy Cooper, North Carolina is a strong contender there.
You know, my colleague Will Upton actually over at the National Polls, he's done this analysis for us.
It's up on the site now of, you know, who the runners and riders, what the shortlist actually is here and what strengths they have.
Critically, you know, one of the people that they really want in this race is Josh Shapiro, but the prevailing consensus appears to be at the moment, and I say this, You know, we should be aghast at having to say this because they don't want a Jew on the ticket, because they know what it will mean to all of those Hamas fanatics, and there are so many of them that form the base of the Democrat coalition at the moment.
You saw them in Washington, D.C.
last night pulling American flags down, burning them, drawing, you know, love Hamas signs up on the statues, defacing the replica of the Liberty Bell and so forth.
And so somebody who would naturally have been a fit to that ticket is kind of being kept
off because of the party's rampant anti-Semitism.
And that's a fascinating thing.
Andy Beshear is also up there.
JB Pritzker, we know.
Gretchen Whitmer, I tend to agree with you.
And of course, you've got Mayor Pete and Mark Kelly as well.
And Mark Kelly may make a lot of sense, given the fact that a lot of what their talking
points are going to be over the next couple of months is going to be gun control and gun
And of course, Mark Kelly being the husband of former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, who was shot.
And of course, has a good resume too, by the way.
TheNationalPulse.com.
I get that right?
TheNationalPulse.com.
Raheem, thanks so much.
Great work.
Check it out.
Thanks for having me, Charlie.
Cheers.
William J. Kelly joins us, Chicago, and an Emmy Award-winning Chicago TV producer.
William, welcome to the program.
Are you getting ready for the DNC coming to Chicago?
God bless you, brother.
Thank you for having us.
Yeah, I mean, to whatever extent you can, get ready for something like this.
We're reporting every day on the out-of-control Chicago violence, the migrant crisis, the incompetent, corrupt politicians, and the DNC convention is only going to make all of that worse as a lifelong Chicagoan.
Charlie, you know, Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, it breaks my heart to see the violence that is typically associated with the South Side now all over the city of Chicago, including downtown Gold Coast, Magnificent Mile, whatever you want to call it.
And Charlie, I'm hearing people from the men on the street to the so-called experts telling me every day that the DNC convention violence will be explosive, Charlie.
So let's just take a step back here.
Yesterday we saw huge union station protests, rioting, burning flags.
Just in the last couple of hours, it turns out that a judge is allowing the pro-Palestinian groups to protest within sight and sound of the DNC.
So let's now just ask a kind of Chicago logistical question.
How on earth are they going to host the convention both at the McCormick Place and the United Center?
Explain to me the division of activities here, because those things are five or six miles apart from each other.
Well, you know, the main convention will be at the United Center.
I'm sure that there will be DNC events all over the city of Chicago from, you know, the United Center to Gibson Steakhouse and everywhere in between.
But, you know, what we've been hearing as Chicagoans for months now is that there will be safety bubbles, Charlie.
The CPD, the Chicago Police Department, will have safety zones, bubbles for the DNC party guests.
But that doesn't obviously do anything for the residents of Chicago.
If anything, it just forces the protesters, the violent Extremists to go to, I guess, what you would call soft targets, which would be everywhere else in Chicago.
You know, we had 100 people shot Fourth of July weekend in Chicago.
OK, so that was that was a Fourth of July weekend.
Charlie, you know.
What we're hearing is extreme violence in the streets of Chicago for the DNC.
We saw this in 1968, and Chicago is typically a war zone.
And unfortunately, it looks as if it's going to bubble up or at least just push it outside of there.
And so they're doing this right outside of the United Center, as far as the protesting goes.
Do you think that generally, though, we're going to see a decrease in murders that week just temporarily because of the amount of agents or police officers?
And if not, how are they going to have a convention where someone is getting shot and killed every couple of hours?
Well, there must be a Chicago DNC convention curse, Charlie.
I don't know what it is.
68 now, obviously, this contested convention.
When you are the nominee, Charlie, I highly recommend, although it breaks my heart, I would love to have your convention here in Chicago, but you might want to consider hosting your convention somewhere else.
But, you know, I don't know.
Maybe Chicago is uniquely... I'm not running for anything.
I'm not running for anything, but we would have my convention in Phoenix.
I'm sorry.
We would.
It would be in a battleground state.
However, I don't know.
118 degrees in the summer wouldn't be good.
Can you feel it now?
Something even bigger is coming.
Your God-given freedoms are up for the taking.
Even worse, those doing the taking are the same people who've sworn to defend your freedom.
They think they can violate your right to protect your own family.
They think they can force their delusions onto your kids.
They think they can control the media and hide the truth.
But you know what they can't take away?
Self-reliance and peace of mind.
You got water filtration?

That is MyPatriotSupply.com.
But let me ask you this, William.
The crime rates are wild and they're out of control, but I think that from a messaging standpoint, we need to tell the story that the Democrat elite are hosting their convention in one of the most murderous cities in the world.
Can you educate our audience on the horror and the bloodshed that Chicago is experiencing?
And that should be put on full display.
They picked quite a city.
All joking aside, Charlie, I do love Chicago with all my heart.
I'm still here, right?
I was just named the Editor-in-Chief of the CityNewsBureau.org if you want to.
Any Turning Point interns who want to risk their lives for journalism, send me a message.
Can Chicago be saved?
I don't know.
I've heard people say that it's It cannot be saved.
It cannot be turned around.
But, you know, I suppose this convention might actually help Chicago in a way.
It's not going to help the Democrats, no.
To your point, no.
It's just going to put a spotlight on the failed policies.
I think it was Goethe that said you don't need A conspiracy theory when incompetence explains everything, you know?
If he'd have thrown in the word corruption, he would have been spot on with the city of Chicago.
You have Mayor Johnson now, who has taken Lori Lightfoot's place.
You have, of course, Governor Pritzker, who is on the short list as a VP possibility.
And their leadership, okay, and not to mention a hundred years or more of nothing but Democrat leaders, local, state, national, have resulted in Illinois, my home state, the state that I love with all my heart, being really a place where anyone who can Is fleeing, is moving out of the state of Illinois for their own safety, for their own lives.
There was a couple, Charlie, I'll tell you, in my neighborhood.
A beautiful couple.
They were expecting a child.
They were attacked by a mob of children, as Mayor Johnson would refer to them.
Stomped on.
The woman lost her baby.
The state's attorney, Kim Fox, filed misdemeanor charges I followed up, you know, I mean, this was clearly a hate crime, felony hate crime.
Obviously, if the tables are reversed, it would have been a felony hate crime, no question about it, national, international news.
But sadly, in this case, The couple literally fled the state.
They've left the state, Charlie.
They're not even going to stick around.
So a group of hoodlums tracked down a pregnant woman, stomped her, killed her unborn baby, and it was this misdemeanor.
So William Kelly, I have an idea here.
With your help, William, I think we should put together Five or six real stories and highlight them and do a press conference style thing during the DNC and tell the story of Chicago crime.
You know these people.
They're going to be ignored by the communist Brandon Johnson, ignored by the communist Kamala Harris, ignored by the leadership of the Democrat Party.
They chose Chicago.
We need to educate the American people of what their policies and what their ideas
do, which is resulting in pregnant women getting hunted in the streets by a group of
hoodlums. Are any of those people currently serving extensive jail time for killing an unborn
baby?
Sadly, they are not even facing charges. They were immediately released, by the way.
This is a very, very common story. You have violent repeat offenders who are charged with
with.
Very violent crimes in many cases the exact same crime that they were just arrested and released and arrested and released from committing who are right back on the street.
This is a problem because even if The state's attorney wanted to prosecute these people, which apparently she just doesn't.
Who's going to testify against a violent repeat offender who is right back on your street, on your block, who knows where you live?
Who's going to testify?
Who's going to show up in court for this?
These are the policies, Charlie.
This is not some uncontrollable thing.
This is the direct result of the So, Brandon Johnson, has he helped at all quell crime in Chicago?
Has there been an improvement?
Well, his policies haven't been an improvement.
His rhetoric certainly hasn't helped.
He blamed the 100 shooting victims in the city of Chicago on Fourth of July weekend on Richard Nixon.
Okay, so this is, again, is it incompetence?
Is it intentional?
Is it on purpose?
At this point, we can't even wrestle with that question anymore.
People are being killed in the streets.
Here's another great case for you, and I would love to put a spotlight on this one, so I'll take you up on your offer.
Two A tourist, get this, was in the city of Chicago.
She was killed on the street by two men who were drag racing their Corvettes, okay?
Two men who, you know, what they were even doing in our country or on the street, God only knows, but they received probation.
For what, bare minimum, was my understanding, AA would have qualified as some type of vehicular manslaughter.
A woman lost her life.
A beautiful woman who had her whole future ahead of her.
It broke my heart to see it.
Charlie, don't worry.
The DNC gala party guests, they will have the focus of the CPD and all the whatever other law enforcement agencies that are coming to Chicago.
They will make sure that Governor Pritzker and Mayor Johnson's DNC party guests will be safe, Charlie.
The people of Chicago will continue to try to survive Chiraq.
Yesterday, there were major protests and riots in Washington, D.C.
That is going to come to Chicago and is going to be complete and total bedlam.
So William, the people of Chicago, the rank and file, why do they keep on voting for people like Mayor Johnson?
That is a very complicated question.
Very limited options.
Sometimes it's a choice between the lesser of two evils.
I think our reporting successfully woke the people of Chicago up to Mayor Lightfoot and the harm that she was doing to the city of Chicago.
But then the alternative, I guess, became Mayor Johnson.
What's really harmful are the policies.
They put hundreds of millions of dollars per week into what they call youth programs.
There's really no accountability.
We don't really know where this money is being spent, who qualifies to receive this money, what they're spending it on, and it certainly isn't improving The violence.
We have more shootings.
The more money they spend, the more shootings we have, Charlie.
That's the problem.
And the rhetoric.
That's the other part of this that really breaks my heart as a lifelong Chicagoan, is that you have An assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
And I even hate using that word, but what else can we do at this point?
But say, an assassination attempt on Donald Trump, right?
You would think that any normal person Well, it hasn't slowed Mayor Johnson or Governor Pritzker down one bit.
after something like that happens, especially if you're bringing the
Democrat convention and the Democrat nominee to your home city, right?
Well, it hasn't slowed Mayor Johnson or Governor Pritzker down one bit.
They're still calling Donald Trump a racist, a sexist.
They're calling him a threat to democracy, an existential threat to democracy, Charlie.
And, you know, these are the very people who clearly have no problem propping up a nominee for president who has never actually even won a single election, Charlie.
That's well said.
William Kelly, how do people support you and back all that you're doing?
Well, reporterwilliamjkelly.com is the website.
Believe it or not, being a reporter in the city of Chicago requires a legal defense fund.
I've been in federal court with Mayor Uh, with, uh, you know, corrupt and incompetent politicians.
Uh, so, uh, any, any support would be very greatly appreciated.
I'm very, uh, I'm looking forward to seeing you, Charlie, uh, doing a press conference, bringing some attention.
If you want to, uh, look at some of the stories and some of the reporting at William J Kelly, um, on Twitter would be a good place to find our, our reporting.
William Kelly, thank you so much.
Can't wait to see you in Chicago.
Thank you.
God bless you.
Thank you.

The more that people learn about Kamala Harris, the more that they do not want her to become president.
This is going to be a political trench warfare.
It's going to be tough, but it's going to require grit.
It's going to require resolve.
I want to play a piece of tape here.
This is Donald Trump at the North Carolina rally.
If Kamala will lie to you so brazenly about Joe Biden's mental incapacity, then she will lie to you about anything.
She can never, ever be trusted.
She can't be trusted.
And just like crooked Joe Biden, Kamala Harris is unfit to lead.
She's unfit to lead.
She'll destroy our country.
In a year, this country will be destroyed.
A vote for Kamala is a vote for four more years of dishonesty, incompetence, weakness, and failure.
Other than that, she's doing an excellent job.
Recent New York Times poll shows that In a national poll, this is New York Times' Sienna, Donald Trump up one point on Kamala with likely voters.
This is a turnout game.
Do the work.
This is razor thin, razor tight.
The future of America hangs on the ballots of the cackling California communist and America first patriot of Donald Trump.
Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
