China's "Century of Western Humiliation" with Jack Posobiec and Darren Beattie
TikTok's China-aligned CEO appeared before Congress on Thursday to a hostile reception from both parties. Is the app finally about to be banned? Jack Posobiec lays out the TikTok threat, and China's master plan to create a "Century of Western Humiliation" by allying with Russia. Plus, Darren Beattie updates on the crucial Douglas Mackey free speech case, and explains why a Trump indictment is the Biden regime's "nuclear option" against America-first conservatism.Support the show: http://www.charliekirk.com/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Joining us now is the great Jack Pesobic, Human Events Daily.
Jack, welcome.
Let's dive right into the TikTok story.
I want to play some piece of tape here.
This guy is Chinese Pete Budijej.
He does whatever he is told.
He has been uploaded with pre-programmed answer.
The guy's name is Shu Chu or Shao Chu.
And he does not deny that TikTok's parent company in China has access to American sensitive user data.
Play Cut 77.
Yes or no?
Do any Byte Dance employees in China, including engineers, currently have access to U.S. user data?
Today, all U.S. user data is stored by default in the Oracle Cloud infrastructure, and access to that is controlled.
Do any Byte Dance employees in China, including engineers, currently have access to U.S. data?
Congressman, I would appreciate this.
This is a complex topic.
Today, all data.
It's not that complex.
Yes or no, do they have access to user data?
After Project Texas is done, the answer is no.
Jack is here.
Jack, welcome.
Your thoughts.
Yeah, Charlie.
So when we see what's going on with this TikTok interview, and I appreciate the fact that we're actually holding this, I'm skeptical that much will actually come of the hearing because, I mean, let's face it, the Democrats already lost Twitter because of Elon Musk.
They're not going to give up TikTok, which is their most powerful platform.
This is the platform which is completely owned by the Chinese Communist Party, with which the Chinese Communist Party uses to influence our youth, to log what's going on and track everything that's going on on their phones.
And then also, of course, is pushing whatever the latest trend in degeneracy and insanity is.
So I remember, you know, it reminds me of Trey Gowdy when he used to hold his trials or his hearings never actually went anywhere.
But that being said, the fact of the matter is this, that Mr. Shou Chu or whatever he wants to say, we know for a fact that if the CCP wants access to any of these databases, to any of these servers, they are going to have full and complete access to it.
The parent company Byte Dance, which was the creator of TikTok, also known as Douying in China.
Of course, the algorithms that they are used to push.
Unfortunately, I feel like the right questions aren't being asked yet at this hearing because you need to ask, why is it that the algorithm promotes certain videos and certain functions, these degenerate dances, this craziness?
You can go look at libs of TikTok and see all the sorts of stuff they promote, gender surgery, genital mutilation, et cetera, for kids.
But in China, that type of stuff is suppressed.
And what is actually promoted in China, classical learning, classical language, classic music, arithmetic, science.
That's what's promoting China.
And in fact, on weeknights, on school nights, Do Yin's service actually shuts down at a certain time of the evening so that kids can't use it.
They know what their target is, Charlie, and they're using it to create the influence network that they want within the United States.
This is the major issue.
It's not just, it is about the data, but it's not just about the data, is what I'm trying to say.
Let's go to cut 78.
Shu Chao.
I'm sorry, Shu Chu.
I mean, no disrespect.
I'm just reading it phonetically.
Shu Chu says that Chinese officials at the parent company Byte Dance had a role in preparing his testimony.
Won't say if the CCP helped prep him for his congressional testimony.
And by the way, he's from Singapore.
Just to be clear, he is not Chinese, but he is doing the bidding of the CCP.
Okay, we want to make sure we get that fact out.
Play cut 78.
Can you guarantee that no one at Byte Dance had a role in preparing you for today's hearing?
Like I said, Congressman, this is a high-profile hearing.
A lot of people around the world are sending me wishes and unsolicited advice, but I prepared for this hearing in my team here in DC.
Jack, your response.
I mean, he's doing exactly what he was hired to.
He's doing exactly what he's hired to do.
He's dancing for the cameras.
He's not going to answer any specifics.
He's not going to do anything.
And keep in mind that he knows, by the way, whether or not his wife, Vivian, or their two kids are in Singapore or whether they're in mainland China right now, he knows that if he says the wrong thing in there, if he admits anything under testimony, under oath to the U.S. Congress, that his family is gone, they disappeared Jack Ma.
They disappeared the biggest name in tech.
Every single person in China knows that if you cross the big guy, if you cross Xi Jinping, if you make the party look bad, if you make them what they would call lose face, the concept of losing face is reputational in China, with this being their most successful influence operation worldwide, that he will absolutely be crushed and his family will be disappeared.
That's why you're not going to get any actual answers about this guy.
That's why they made sure with all of his testimony, with all of his preparation, they made sure to give him exactly what answers he would do to dance around the question.
He's using classic counterinterrogation techniques up there, and he's not, he's giving answers without actually answering anything.
Yeah, well, that's that's it's typical.
So I want to kind of go to a connected issue.
You and I have both been warning: hey, there's going to be a new superpower alliance happening, and the American regime is cheerleading for it and is actually helping it happen.
Chilling last couple of days in Moscow as Xi Ji Ping, Winnie the Pooh, goes to Moscow to meet with Vladimir Putin.
And they say, quote, there are changes that have not happened in 100 years that are happening when we meet.
Take care of yourself, dear friend.
Play cut 73.
And then, Jack, I want you to make sense of this for me.
What does this mean?
I'm not even sure.
Play cut 73.
Now, there are changes that haven't happened in 100 years.
When we are together, we drive these changes.
I agree.
Take care of yourself, dear friend.
Please.
Jack, what does this mean?
So to understand China, you have to understand that the way they teach history, they refer to something as the 100 years of humiliation or the century of humiliation.
So the century of humiliation goes from the opium war of about 1859 all the way up to 1949, which is, of course, the founding of the People's Republic of China.
So they refer to that as the century of humiliation, meaning humiliation by what?
Humiliation at the hands of the West.
So the flip side of that, for him to say, this is a change we haven't seen in 100 years.
What he's actually referring to is their new plan for 2049.
That's their target date on forward, where it's the century of Western humiliation, that he wants the West to be brought down low.
And what has the United States done throughout all of this?
They've driven Russia, the biggest wild card in all of this, Russia, which had been trying. to extend economic ties to Europe.
Of course, we now see where those economic ties are.
They've been blown up, most likely, by the Biden administration and their allies at the bottom of the Baltic Sea and driven Russia into the arms of China.
This is the most historic meeting that we've seen in terms of the global geopolitical balance of power since Nixon going to China, which is, of course, the connection of the U.S. and China.
There was an Austrian diplomat who said years ago that in a world of three, be two.
Well, guess what?
They're the two.
We're the one now.
And you see nations throughout the global south joining up with BRICS.
You see the fuel that's going to be sent from where through Siberia all the way down to Beijing.
This is coming now.
And the thing with Russia, because after their, which I believe to be a mistake, their mistaken invasion of Ukraine, it was a total miscalculation on Putin's part.
Now, for them, unfortunately for them, they've completely lost any access to Western markets.
They're forced to essentially be the junior partner in this new alliance.
They're losing out because they have no access to those Western markets for energy.
They have no access to Western financial capital.
They have no access to any of it.
They're essentially forced into this meeting.
And of course, Xi Jinping's more than happy to offer it to them.
Why?
Because he wants Russia to be the junior partner.
He wants them to be their vassal.
And it's like, okay, you can have a couple of the provinces of Ukraine that nobody was really outside of the West really even can name or find on a map.
That at the end of the day, for China, it's all about resources.
They want that Siberian oil and gas.
And the same way, you're seeing the two of them now run the table.
They've overturned the Abraham Accords.
They're setting up accords now where the Iranians and the Saudis, the Sunni and the Shia are now reestablishing diplomatic ties.
They're also working on forming new relations with Turkey and Syria.
They're putting that to rest.
Saudi just said that they're going to stop backing Yemen.
Iran's talking about pulling out from the Houthis.
And again, this is all being brokered by China because it's part of the one belt, one road initiative.
And meanwhile, in the U.S., we're sitting here chasing our tails.
We might arrest Trump.
We might not arrest Trump.
We're complaining about TikTok.
But at the end of the day, we are sitting here whining and complaining while the rest of the world is leaving us in dust.
Jack, stay right there.
Very clear analysis.
And this is the casualty of us getting involved in this proxy border dispute in Ukraine.
And new super alliance has been formed.
But don't worry, you know, new emails show that the military is very worried about trans empowerment.
We'll talk about that as well.
I want to play another piece of tape here.
Let's go to Fox Reports.
President Xi is meeting in Moscow with Putin to highlight the growing cooperation between the two countries, Play Cut One.
President Xi is meeting with Vladimir Putin in Moscow today, their first sit-down since Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine.
The visit highlighting the growing cooperation between the two countries and Beijing's efforts to replace the United States as the world's dominant power.
So, Jack, you mentioned this before.
It didn't have to be this way.
There's a whole new world entering here.
And we're involved in this border dispute in Ukraine, upwards of $200 billion.
And the consensus in DC is that's the best thing ever.
Meanwhile, Russia and China become happy partners.
Things have changed significantly the last couple of years.
Your thoughts?
I mean, Charlie, look at it.
It's it's this is what it's you watch these TikTok hearings and you wonder why it is that we can sit and complain about it, but at the end of the day, we can't actually do anything about TikTok, why Xi Jinping can go.
And at the same time, we've stated, right, these same congressmen, many of them, have stated that Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin are their sworn foes, the greatest enemies, the greatest evil the world has ever seen.
And yet they can't seem to do anything to stop these meetings, to stop these deals from going through.
And when they're asked to take a stand or take a move, make a move against this massive joint venture between the DNC and the CCC called TikTok, their most powerful international influence operation ever.
We realize, Charlie, that this is what it's like to be owned.
Don't forget that when that Chinese spy balloon flew over the, you know, that's the CCP calling me right now, by the way.
When the Chinese spy balloon flew over our military silos, our nuclear silos, we did nothing.
We did absolutely nothing because that was a message not only to the president, you know, the current occupant of the White House, but also to the American people that you are owned and that the CCP does have this financial influence, obviously, over Biden and his family, the millions of dollars that we've been tracking there.
And they have influence over TikTok.
Now they've got Russia in their back pocket too, essentially.
So they're running the table, Charlie.
They're running the table.
And all this is doing for us is us beating our chest, acting like things are going to be the way they were after the end of the Cold War when it was Pax Americana and Fukuyama was telling us all about the end of history.
Well, it turns out history didn't end.
And what did Russia, what did the United States do when we had that massive, what Clinton used to call the peace dividend, right?
We sent NATO all around the world.
We sent NATO from the Balkans to the Middle East to Libya to Iraq, to we just had the one year or the 20-year anniversary of Iraq to Libya to Syria.
But then you look, when we pushed into Syria, Assad was never taken out, right?
So Hillary and Obama tried to get rid of him.
They couldn't.
Russia pushed back.
And that really was, I think, a pivotal point in understanding what Darren Beattie would call the globalist American empire and their influence, because this was the first autocrat dictator, whatever you want to call it, that the United States had fully targeted, but wasn't able to overturn because we became obsessed with these regime change operations and trying to exert our influence around the world through this.
Now, the rest of the world is saying, you know what, we don't like being pushed around like this.
We're going to go with China.
We're going to go with Russia because we are sick of you.
And because it's, and you guys, unfortunately, for in your own stupidity and your own greed and hubris, decided to send all of your jobs, all of your manufacturing base to China.
While over the years, sure, they were happy to manufacture everything for us.
But along the way, we realized that our wealth was actually being sent over there.
There's a reason that Detroit and Chicago and Philadelphia look the way they do, and Shanghai and Shenzhen, and yeah, Wuhan look the way that they do, because that's where all the Western capital went.
Building Multi-Generational Redoubts00:12:37
And guess what?
Xi Jinping and the CCP were more than happy to turn the tables on them and to say, Know what?
We don't want to be the junior partner in globalism anymore.
We're going to be the senior partner.
So they've got their joint venture with the globalists.
You can call World Economic Forum if you wanted to use that as the formulation.
So China's essentially run the table both on the West and Russia at this point.
And we better realize how dangerous of a situation that is, or at least understand that if we want to chart our course for the future here, the question is: do we want to be a strong power on our own and actually pursue America-first policies, or are we happy to be the vassal state where our citizenry is going to be turned essentially into serfs, not Russian serfs, but actually Chinese serfs, where our role is simply to be the consumers of the world and every mass product, big pharma, Apple, Amazon.
These are de facto all Chinese industries now because they are completely reliant on the Chinese Communist Party.
And our leaders did this.
The Republican Party designed this.
They're cheering for it.
Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, that there's so much at stake this upcoming election.
Yeah, they designed this whole neoliberal order.
Yeah, they got bigger houses in Kenny Bugport and Aspen.
And meanwhile, they sold out the entire country.
Really is that sick and simple.
Jack, thank you so much.
Appreciate it.
Thanks, all of you.

All right, Darren Beattie is with us from Revolver.news, one of the smartest people in the conservative movement.
I really enjoy having Darren on the program.
Okay, I want to just read some headlines here.
Let's start with this one: Trump indictment is the Biden regime's nuclear option in the war on America.
Darren, that's from your website, revolver.news.
Explain.
Absolutely.
It's the nuclear option.
And for obvious reasons, due to its implications, it's simply unprecedented.
It's unprecedented for the Department of Justice to criminally indict former president like this.
And it's deeply, deeply dangerous for reasons that President Ford described in talking about why he pardoned Nixon for matters that were far more serious than whatever's at issue here.
Payments from Trump's own pocket for something that isn't really that big of an issue.
But if we establish this precedent that presidents can be expected to be indicted by the Justice Department run by the leader of an opposing party, then we truly do descend into banana boat territory.
And it's not, it's even worse than that because Trump isn't simply a former president.
He continues to be the leader of the MAGA America First movement that is the preeminent challenge to Biden, the Biden regime, not just in a general sense, but in the very specific sense that he's the frontrunner for the GOP nomination.
And so it's not just this retrospective issue, which is problematic enough that you would indict a former president given the really non-existence of a fair trial, all these other considerations.
But perhaps even worse is the idea of a sitting president using his Department of Justice to criminally indict the frontrunner for presidential contest in the opposing party.
Full banana boat republic territory.
Very dangerous.
It implicates just one last point.
It implicates to the very core all of the issues that the left and the Democrats pretend to care about when they invoke this idea of democracy and peaceful transition of power.
That's the dark irony of it all.
The whole reason they pretend to care about January 6 is that in their view, in their false view, and this amplified insurrection nothing burger that they called, they say this cuts to the core of the peaceful transition of power.
Well, what is criminally indicting former president and criminally indicting the frontrunner who's going to run against the sitting president who is in charge of the Department of Justice that's responsible for the indictment?
So I want to ask then, what should the response be?
You understand power dynamics really well.
How do we fight against this?
Obviously, PR and all this.
What is the proper and the prudent strategy to fight back against the banana republicification of America?
I made that term up, but it works.
How do we fight against it?
Well, you know, it's a great question.
I think that, you know, there have been some delays and rumors circulating that even in New York, this corrupt, scumbag district attorney is having difficulties generating consensus among the grand jury to move this indictment forward.
So we'll have to see whether it happens, whether cooler heads prevail, because the political dynamic of this is, you know, Trump has always been a beleaguered party.
He ran against the coordinated opposition of every single powerful institution in the United States, and he embarrassed some of the most powerful, corrupt institutions on the planet, Clinton machine, the Bush machine, the national security state, and so forth.
And so this indictment represents sort of a culmination of the regime's attempt to take him off the chessboard politically, but it also reinforces the correct understanding that he is the standard bearer for the resistance to all of the things going on in our regime that Biden is, you know, is driving.
And that helps him to extend politically.
So it could be the cooler heads prevail and say we don't want to give him that kind of martyr status of being indicted.
It remains to be seen.
But it is certainly a very dangerous escalation that we're even talking about it.
We did another piece saying, you know, it would be a really bold move, but there are actually steps that DeSantis could take to yeah, what would those be?
Because sorry to interject, but the critics, the normies, say there's nothing that DeSantis could do.
What could he do?
Well, again, this is a bold and arguably extreme step.
But as a governor, Governor DeSantis is in charge of the state troops.
And he could, you know, Trump would have to cooperate with this, but he could basically protect Trump in a situation where Trump's like in the governor's mansion protected by the state troops and force the issue to go to federal court and have them say, okay, what's the ruling here?
And actually create a kind of resistance, sort of standoff type situation as the governor of Florida, where Trump resides.
There are pros and cons of that.
That would be an especially bold step, but what it does is, even as a thought exercise, it underscores this new reality that the left and the Democrats have thrust us into.
It's an unfortunate reality, but it's one in which control over states really is critical.
Think about the concept of sanctuary cities, where you have all the sanctuary cities, sanctuary states, where certain broad swaths of a criminal, entire criminal class are effectively protected.
This is sort of the next step of that.
It invites us to think what the next step is of that, where you could have a situation like a Kyle Rittenhouse-type situation who's protected by a Republican governor who refuses to indict, you know, extradite him to a blue state that wants to charge him.
This is kind of an increasingly polarized country.
This sort of portends or gestures toward this new reality in which who controls the state, what political party, what apparatus controls the respective states is of increasing importance to our national politics.
I think that's exactly right.
And, you know, where we're at right now is we have to entertain options that are consistent with our values and consistent with the structure that the American founders gave us.
And I don't think that we really properly articulate the following: the states created the federal government.
The federal government did not create the states.
The federal project is given by permission of the states.
And Darren, we have two minutes remaining, but that's actually, if you look at some of the most promising legislative victories and where the momentum actually is happening on the trans stuff, on the curriculum improvement, it's in the states.
And at times we kind of just forget that this regime of the federal government is only made possible because the states have consented to the ratification of a national project.
I'm not suggesting ending that, but the sovereignty of the states is fundamental and foundational to actually what a republic is and what our country is.
Your thoughts.
Indeed, that's true.
Just as a matter of our country's history, there was a time in which being the governor of a state was considered far more powerful and even prestigious in many ways than being the president of the United States.
Of course, this has changed dramatically and the whole kind of original structure of federalism has eroded beyond recognition.
I think there are certain insuperable practical realities preventing a return to that in its full form.
But I certainly think that there's a version of federalism that can and has to be restored as a medium to long-term strategy to regaining genuine political power at the national level.
The federal bureaucracies are entirely gone, entirely controlled.
And the way I see it, the real strategy going forward is creating extremely robust multi-generational redoubts in a number of critically important states, including Florida, including Texas, having those states coordinate amongst themselves and using that in every dimension of that power and that leverage to exert power and pressure at the national level.
That's the only real, meaningful, substantive way forward that's playing for high stakes and that's realistic with respect to long-term national goals.
Criminalizing a Satirical Meme00:03:01
Darren, I want you to give a short update of a case I really care deeply about.
It bothers me, the Douglas Mackey case.
Doug Mackey attorney accuses DOJ of withholding exculpatory information.
What's going on with Douglas Mackey as they're trying to put someone in jail for making a meme?
Well, the trial is underway now, and it's unfortunate that the whole Trump indictment stuff comes up because it's generating a lot of media attention for that that would otherwise go for the Doug Mackey case.
But in many ways, they're related thematically in the sense that, again, this is the ultimate culmination point of the weaponization of the security state and the DOJ.
Trump, you know, criminally indicted and this young man criminally indicted, facing 10 years in federal prison for a meme mocking Hillary Clinton.
It recently came out, according to Mackey's lawyer, that the government mid-trial revealed certain interviews that it conducted with Hillary Clinton campaign staffers.
And the counsel, Doug's counsel's position is that the substance of those interviews represents a so-called Brady violation.
The government's obligated under this Brady rule to present to the defense any information that could be exculpatory or that could help to properly contextualize the credibility of a government witness.
And so it's not public yet what that information could be, but in light of known Brady violations now in Proud Boys cases and other government cases that seem to be politically motivated, it is deeply concerning.
And it's to the point that Mackey's legal representation is calling on a mistrial on the basis of these mid-trial revelations regarding Hillary Clinton staffers.
Yeah, and just remind the audience, this is a man who made a bunch of memes and jokes, and they're threatening to put him in prison over that.
Right.
He made memes that adhered to a pre-existing meme format that basically says, if you want to vote for Hillary, text this number, you know, just kind of playing off of the notion that Hillary voters are so dumb, they'll text a number to vote.
Clearly satirical.
The government hasn't produced a single instance of someone actually being deceived by this and not voting on the basis of this.
Nonetheless, the government's using a tortured interpretation of something called the Ku Klux Klan Act that was intended to prevent Klan members from physically intimidating African Americans from voting.
They're saying that this satirical meme format somehow is encompassed by this Ku Klux Klan statute.
The Disinformation Scam00:02:19
And on this basis, they're moving to the radical extent of really trying to codify the disinformation scam into criminal law.
The disinformation scam, I'm sure we've all heard this word.
It's the censorship predicate du jour.
Whenever the government, the regime hears something it doesn't like, they call it disinformation.
Well, now they're trying to criminalize it.
And again, this is the next stage.
The first stage of deplatforming, you shut people up, you take them off social media, then you take them out of their bank accounts, you wipe away their bank accounts.
Then the third step of deplatforming, you put them in prison.
You criminally indict them.
That's what happens to, that's happening to Trump.
That's happening to Mackie.
And then the fourth step, I don't think I even need to spell it out, but it's the step that goes beyond putting someone in prison.
And that's the direction we're moving.
It's very, very dangerous.
It represents the culmination of all of these deeply malicious trends in our politics.
I agree.
Darren, 45 seconds.
DeSantis, stock go up, stock go down the last week, and explain why.
I think his stock went down.
And, you know, a lot of people kind of misinterpret what I say.
They interpret it in the sense of, oh, you know, Trump was attacking DeSantis.
So DeSantis owes him nothing.
You know, that's a separate discussion about what someone owes.
I'm talking about purely from a self-interested political perspective.
I don't think DeSantis has played his cards very well in light of the Trump indictment situation.
He seemed to be taking pot shots.
He seemed with the interview with Piers Morgan, I think was not very politically astute.
And so, again, it's one of those things, political instincts, you can't really, you can develop them to an extent, but you can't really teach it.
And he hasn't teach talent sound instincts.
I think he has it, but there is definitely, there's someone giving bad advice, in my opinion.
And I hope he stops listening to that person.
Darren, thank you so much, Revolver.news.
