Trick Questions with Senator Marsha Blackburn

Charlie kicks off this episode by investigating what a transition closet is, which was described by a government teacher as "Superman changing in a phone booth." Yes, you heard that right. Young kids are now coming into public schools wearing normal clothes, getting invited into trans-closets, and changing into clothes for whatever gender they decide to be that day. Charlie breaks down exactly why they are doing this and what their true motivations are for separating parents from their children. Next, the courageous Senator Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee joins the show to reflect on her apparently "groundbreaking" question during Justice Jackson's confirmation hearing. She also dives into what letting go of the word "women" would mean legally, especially in unexpected corners such as the border crisis, sports, schooling, and more. Okay, let's go to this story here.
More secret gender transition closets discovered in public schools.
A group sphere parents are being kept in the dark.
Quote, they started in colleges, but trans closets stocked with transgender clothes and accessories for students to change into after arriving to school and back out before going home are being discovered in public schools with some indication that they're being kept secret from parents.
So if you are sending your child to public school, there is a chance, albeit I don't know how widespread, but this kind of goes to show the culture around government school teachers and how they think they control your kids.
There is a chance that they are being exposed to or even participating in something called a transgender closet.
Now here's what a transgender closet is.
Your son might leave your home wearing jeans and a t-shirt, looking very masculine or at least somewhat masculine.
But then once they arrive to school, they will go into the closet and change into a dress outside of their parents' knowledge and then do the rest of the day in a dress, go back to the closet before their parents go and pick up their son where he'll change back into the shirt and the jeans as to keep the secret from parents that a transition ever happened at school.
Not a transition, but changing of the clothes.
Now this is happening more and more.
This is from the wonderful Epoch Times, where it shows that this is growing to more and more states.
The California Family Council and others have eventually confirmed the identity of a teacher in the Oakland Unified School District.
It's a Spanish teacher by the name of Thomas Martin Edwards, or Martín Edwards, who is also the founder of the quote queer teacher fellowship.
Martin Edwards, the teacher who runs the trans closet, is also a trans person.
He has posted videos of himself or herself or whatever in the classroom showing off stilettos he wears to school.
So Martin Edwards is obviously a very sick person.
Martin Edwards should not be a teacher.
Martin Edwards needs treatment and needs help.
Some people in life need help.
This is one of them.
And I really hope this person gets help and gets away from children.
This person is a predator.
Quote, this is an example of the deceit schools are deliberately using to carry out a growing transgender movement in public schools behind the backs of parents.
So we went very quickly from trying to recognize trans people are real people.
All right, what else you got?
Fine, sure.
To now teachers preying on children and offering the resources, the space, and the cover for children without their parents knowing, changing clothes to the gender that they so-and-so, so-called affiliate with.
I want you to listen to this teacher.
This is the teacher right here.
If you send your child to public school, there is a chance that your child is being exposed to this play tape.
My principal just approved our district's first transition closet.
We'll be working with the organization of the transition closet to provide clothes for transgender, non-binary, and gender-exploring youth who maybe don't have the access or the safety to get those clothes in their personal lives.
They'll be able to come to school and change into clothes that make them feel more at home and more like themselves.
And I just think that's lovely.
He's obviously very sick and needs help.
He filmed.
Who has to film?
They put this on TikTok themselves.
They voluntarily put this on TikTok for the world to see, and then they get really mad that Libs of TikTok finds these clips and then publicizes them.
So you start to see this increase at school after school after school.
Remember, every totalitarian, every tyrant wants to break the bond that a child has with their parent.
Now you have principals and teachers working collaboratively to make that possible.
They don't want parents to know because the parents being involved might actually derail the alphabet mafia's agenda.
Now, if you do not know what a trans closet is and you're sending your child to school, public school, I would highly recommend you read up on this.
You might be sending your son to school, and your son might be going around wearing a dress during the day without your knowledge.
Play cut 41.
The goal of the transition closet is for our students to be able to wear the clothes that their parents approve of, come to school, and then swap out into the clothes that fit who they truly are.
And I use the idea that this is like Superman changing in a phone booth.
But that idea actually goes a lot further than that because Superman isn't Clark Kent.
Clark Kent is actually the disguise.
And when Clark Kent goes into the phone booth, he transforms into Superman, who's really just who he truly is, Kalel.
And so this gives our trans students the opportunity to be the superheroes that we know they are.
Yeah, it gives an opportunity for us to prey on your children and to turn them into superheroes, who they actually really are.
Yeah, there's a portion of the population that believes this stuff that wants to circumvent parental authority.
Who has sovereignty over your kids exactly?
Whose children are they?
Well, the predators or the, let's say, deeply disturbed activists who you just heard from, they believe that they're entitled to your children.
That it's their kids working collaboratively with the school principal and others.
They arrogantly believe that they can prey on your children, bring them to transition closets, and provide them with the clothes so that they can turn into Superman.
They say here, quote, these kids are just going to do it anyway.
We want to provide them with a way to do it safely where they're not wearing clothes that are too small for them or doing it in a way that's going to get them hurt by their parents.
Oh, that's, you see that?
The entire push by this is they look at parents as potential damaging figures in their life.
They look at this as a way to be like, hey, we can now focus on children against the wishes of their parents.
You have to ask yourselves the question.
Again, this is something that the media hates when I say, but why is it there's so many people in the gay community that are so aggressive about proselytizing the next generation?
And that's not all people in the gay community.
There's plenty of people I know that are gay that don't care about children all the time.
But why is it there are so many people that are gay that are super hyper-aggressive about going after children?
Why is that?
Why did the gay men's choir in San Francisco release a song saying they were going to convert your kids?
We could play that tape.
I think we got a copyright strike on it because we just posted it.
But I think if we do it and then we respond to it, I think it's perfectly fine.
It really is the framing of the parents' party versus the pervert party.
Which one do you think is going to be more likely to win elections?
Parents are starting to say, keep your Marxist hands off my kids.
It is a great moral tragedy that these people are allowed to do this to innocent children.
But the left has always been focused on trying to remove the innocence of children.
It is instrumental to their political aims and ambitions.
Okay, here is 44, Cut 44, the all gay men's choir singing that we will convert your children to become homosexuals.
Play Cut 44.
We'll convert your children and make an ally of union.
Okay, so yeah, that's the gay men's choir in San Francisco singing actually rather melodically, I have to say, about converting your children to become gay and lesbian.
So if it's all just about gay marriage, why is it about converting your children all of a sudden?
You see, when I first got started in conservative politics back in like 2007 and 2008, the gay marriage debate was well on its way.
Obama, of course, first stood for one man, one woman marriage and then reversed.
He evolved on the issue.
No, he didn't.
He always believed in gay marriage.
He just, it wasn't popular.
It changed almost overnight.
Will and Grace, Modern Family, the Overton window moved.
And those of us that believe in traditional marriage lost that debate.
We first lost the debate in public opinion.
Then we lost it in the courts.
And a lot of us thought that it was going to kind of be over.
That, okay, got it.
Sure.
Gay marriage is the law of the land.
We disagree with that.
We believe that all people are made in the image of God.
We believe in constitutional rights for all people.
We do not believe that the dissolution of the institution of marriage itself is something that expands rights.
But all right, fine.
Like, let's go live our lives, right?
Like, live and let live.
That was kind of the whole thing, right?
We're not going to get in your way.
Don't get in ours.
Like, let's just keep on moving forward and let's just keep on, you know, making America a better place.
And how naive of myself and for many others to believe that.
How naive.
And maybe it's because I just believed in the best of people.
And now we're talking more about this than ever before.
And talking about going after children and these weirdos that are saying that we have to do transition closets and all men's choirs saying we're going to convert your children.
What is driving this?
I mean, I want an explanation.
You deserve an explanation as a parent because it's not about gay marriage anymore.
It's just not.
Of course not.
It's the law of the land.
So gay marriage goes everywhere across the world, across the country.
And yet now this is the next kind of chapter of this.
And coming up in June will be the entire month is Gay Pride Month.
So we're going to have to go through this entire kind of narrative again.
And it really does beg the question: what is the end goal here?
What is the objective?
If it was just about recognition and marriage rights for gay people, then why does it involve children?
What is the push there?
And parents, you'd have to be vigilant here.
There's some topics and there's some things that children should not be exposed to at all.
And this being one of them, especially without parental consent, without a parent, without a parent guardian.
And the explanation, of course, is Marxism.
I mean, if you are able to culturally deconstruct an entire society, most importantly from the family, then you can get whatever you want.
Now, the family is the backbone of the American middle class.
But families that are disconnected to one another, that disconnects the entire nation.
We've said this multiple times, and it's worthy of repeating because repetition is the soul of memory: the Ten Commandments is the only one of the Ten Commandments that comes with a promise and involves your nation.
Honor your mother and father so you may live long in the land of which you are in.
If the government owns your children, if the state controls your family, if the state controls your children, or your children are not connected to the parents, well, then that society itself just starts to tear apart.
Is that intentionally part of the agenda?
It's hard to be able to say that.
It's hard to say that there's kind of like some central bureau conspiracy.
I think it's more of an unintentional thing where what else are they going to focus on?
I mean, if they are so focused on their LGBT lifestyle, then why not all of a sudden go and try and recruit more children into what you believe is kind of this ever-bubbling up pseudo-religion?
We need to be comfortable talking about this and talking about how wrong this is.
But most parents are like, well, I don't know.
It scares me to talk about it.
But increasingly, parents are starting to push back against this, as you see in the collapse of Netflix and Disney, school board watch list.
For a couple years now, people have been setting up a contest between crypto and gold.
But that's like comparing a truck with an SUV.
Both carry stuff and travel from A to B, but they do different jobs.
Gold's job is to keep the value of your money safe and preserve its value.
And since Ukraine, the oil, and the inflation crisis, it's done a brilliant job compared to stocks and other investments.
So if you're worried about what's going on right now, who isn't?

With us right now is one of my favorite U.S. Senators.
She's just doing a phenomenal job representing the people of Tennessee.
I was in Tennessee last week in Chattanooga and then in Athens, Tennessee.
And it is, of course, Senator Marsha Blackburn.
Senator, welcome back to the program.
Good to be with you.
Thank you so much.
So, Senator, I just got to ask you the trick question of the decade.
What is a woman?
You know, a woman is an adult female human being, 2X chromosomes.
There are so many ways we can answer that question.
And, Charlie, I have to tell you, I was probably as dumbfounded as anybody with the fact that I could not get an answer from Judge Jackson as to could she provide the definition of the word woman.
And of course, my question came in a series of questions that I was asking her about woke education, the school board she serves on, a curriculum called Woke Kindergarten that teaches children as young as five to choose a gender.
I went to the VMI case, and Justice Ginsburg had written in that case in the deciding position that there were enduring differences between male and female.
This, of course, was the decision that lent women into our military academies.
And I was moving on to question her about the NCAA and biological males competing against biological females.
So, since I couldn't get an answer from her about woke kindergarten or the VMI decision in Justice Ginsburg's writing on that opinion, I just looked at her and said, well, can you provide me the definition of the word woman?
Because these cases dealing with biological males competing in women's sports, that's going to end up at the Supreme Court.
Because when you allow biological males into that competition, in essence, what you're doing is doing away with Title IX, which means that girls have equal opportunity in sports.
They can't be discriminated against.
Also, I think it's important.
Look at the number of sex discrimination cases that are filed every year in the American workplace.
And companies many times have to negotiate these things out.
And Charlie, if you can't define woman, then how are you going to make certain that women are treated fairly in the workplace?
That's such an important point, is that this is not some sort of trick question.
This is not some sort of, you know, gotcha, as the media said.
This has serious legal implications that the failure to just acknowledge something so simple.
And Senator, I didn't know you were a biologist.
So congratulations to that.
And the way she just smugly responded to you was, again, it's not a trick question.
I mean, she could have actually turned it into a pretty amazing moment where she says, I am a woman.
What are you talking about?
You're a woman.
And it could have been like this moment of where the left used to be of kind of like female power and all that.
Now it's this kind of blurred lines of, I don't quite know.
I mean, what's your thoughts on that?
Kind of, we went from Kavanaugh to, you know, believe all women to what is a woman.
That's exactly right.
And now what you are seeing is the left, the progressives, the socialists, the Marxists, the left writ large is trying to erase gender identity.
And whether it is college sports, women's athletics, whether it is competition for scholarships, what you are seeing is this removal of the word woman.
You know, you're not a mother, you're a birthing person and rewriting the language.
And the thing that gets me about this is when you go throughout history and you see The impact of trying to take freedom away from people and then place that authority over people with an authoritarian government.
What do they do?
They start to change the meaning of words.
They start to change the language.
They practice cancel culture.
They become thought police.
So we know that Demand Justice, Arabella Group, some of these leftist organizations spent a lot of money pushing Judge Jackson for the Supreme Court.
That is something that has been widely written.
That is not speculation or information privy to me, Charlie.
That is everybody is aware of this.
Demand Justice spent a million dollars on advertising the week of her hearing.
So this shows you the intensity they were putting into this nomination.
And they wanted her.
The left wanted her.
They wanted a progressive on the court.
And they got one, unfortunately.
And I believe there will be a political price for Mark Kelly and for Raphael Warnock to pay this election cycle for voting for now Justice Jackson, as hard as that is to say.
Well, and I will say, you know, you can extend that to Cortez Masto.
Yes, you can extend it to Hassan in New Hampshire.
People that are very concerned, New Hampshire has just passed a piece of legislation that outlaws teaching CRT in their schools.
And then here is someone that supported a nominee who is very much for CRT, who sits on a school board that their kindergarten teaches a curriculum called woke kindergarten.
And the Democrats thinking this won't result in some sort of a backlash is one of the great political miscalculations in the modern era.
I mean, we will benefit from it, but the country is going through a rough patch in the intermediate.
I want to ask you about the repealing of Title 42.
So I live in Arizona.
We're doing our show right here from Arizona.
It looks like Biden is, looks like he's going to do it unless I've seen some sort of news items.
I haven't seen any of the news items contrary to that.
Title 42, of course, is a public health measure that allows us to more easily deport people that are illegally entering into the country.
What are you hearing on Capitol Hill regarding the possible repealing of Title 42?
Is this really something Biden's going to go all the way through with?
Well, he's trying to go all the way through with it because he wants to dissolve our border.
There are some of us at Senate Judiciary, some Republicans who are trying to get a hearing with Chairman Durbin, bringing in Secretary Mayorkas to say, okay, if you're going to triple the number of people coming to the border every single day, then how are you going to handle this?
What is the game plan?
Because you obviously didn't have a plan A for handling the impact at the border.
So now, if you're going to see the need for a plan B, we have had 6,000 people a day coming to the southern border.
They anticipate that with the removal of Title 42, Charlie, it will be 18,000 people a day.
Well, 18,000 is a pretty big number.
So I said, how many cities do we have in Tennessee?
And one of our team members looked it up: 345 towns of cities in the great state of Tennessee.
How many of those cities have 18,000 or fewer people?
90% of those cities have fewer than 18,000 people.
Now, think about that.
So it would be the equivalent of adding a majority of cities to the state every single day.
Now, think about that.
If you are in a state, and maybe this is going to be an additional 300 cities that would be impacting your state, that's the number of people that are coming in.
How difficult is it going to be to provide the resources that are necessary when you have that volume of people coming into your southern border every day?
I mean, so what is the calculus here?
I mean, we know that the Democrats largely want open borders.
They have for a while.
But what is the what's the explanation they're giving on Capitol Hill?
I mean, other than just we don't care?
They think it's compassionate.
Oh, that's right.
Okay.
I say, you know, it's not compassionate to subject women and children to drugs and to sex trafficking.
It's not compassionate to allow the cartels to run drugs, fentanyl and heroin and meth, across our border and into every one of our communities.
And with that southern border, every town's a border town.
Every state's a border state.
The 100,000 people that lost their lives to drugs, primarily to fentanyl, it's not compassionate.
It is not compassionate to families that now fentanyl is the number one killer of young adult Americans.
And we know where this is coming from.
It is all coming out of Mexico.
And the cartels are so brazen.
You know, not only are they global entities working in 160 different countries.
We had people from 160 different countries coming across our border.
The cartels have now set up hubs on U.S. soil.
And this is where they're running in the gangs and the sex trafficking and the drugs and then doing their handling their distribution out of these hubs that are on U.S. soil.
This is a travesty.
Yeah, it really is.
Just a minute and a half remaining, Senator.
You know, you've been really good on China for years.
We've kind of taken our eye off China recently.
They're re-locking down.
We don't know if they're going to take a move for Taiwan, but they're talking a big game.
Anything that we need to know about China in recent news, our position towards China, what's your insight there?
One of the things we know is you cannot trust the Chinese Communist Party.
I find it very interesting that China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, that is your new axis of evil.
And you look at the China-Russia relationship.
And I don't think Xi Jinping is going to be believing Vladimir Putin the next time he says, hey, we're going to go take Ukraine.
It's only going to take us about three days.
We are into 60-something days at this point with this fight.
And people are rallying.
The global community is rallying to China.
Here's the thing to watch, is China going to dump Russia and let them just be pushed back into Russia?
Or is China going to prop them up, buy their oil, bank them with all the sanctions that are being put on them?
Or is China going to say, hey, I need to be selling into the U.S., to Canada, to Mexico?
I need to be selling into the EU.
I better rethink this situation.
So when it comes to China, I would watch very carefully what their measures and their moves are going to be pertaining to Russia.
It's great insight.
Senator, thank you so much for joining us from the great state of Tennessee.
I was just in Athens, Tennessee.
There's some proud people out there.
You know it well.
Thank you so much, Senator.
We'll talk to you soon.
Thank you.

Let's go to some sound here.
Let's go to Cut 36, Ron DeSantis on his take on Elon Musk purchasing Twitter, PlayCut 36.
And I just think it's very telling that you have some of these legacy media outlets in DC and New York saying that this is such a bad thing because Musk believes in free speech.
But it shows you what they've used these tech platforms to do.
When these platforms first came on the scene, they build themselves as being open platforms.
And yet it seems like over the last five or six years, these big tech companies, including Twitter, have gone from being open platforms to being enforcers of the narrative.
And if you dissent from that narrative, you can be silenced.
You can be deplatformed.
That's exactly right.
Ron DeSantis properly weighing in on this issue.
And he has, it's funny, he was in front of a sign that says stop ballot harvesting.
I mean, I have looked hard and I have failed to find anything that Ron DeSantis has done wrong.
I'm trying.
I'm like, come on, he just can't be this good.
And, well, no tenure for professors in Florida?
Well, anti-BLM Riot Act?
Well, no CRT.
Parental rights bill.
0% income tax.
0% corporate tax.
Articulately going after Twitter.
School choice.
Investing in the Fatherhood Initiative.
Punching back against the media and winning.
No, trust me, I look, I say, come on, no one can be this exceptional.
I keep looking.
It's like, he just runs circles around these other Republican governors.
You have to wonder what they are doing all day long, with obvious exceptions, Governor Gianforte, who's great, and Governor Stitt, who's great, and a few others.
But most Republican governors, like Governor Kemp in Georgia or Hogan in Maryland, or Baker in Massachusetts or DeWine in Ohio, you got to wonder what drives them.
Certainly not the Ron DeSantis wants to save the country and do its rice for his voters and for his state.
That certainly is not the incentive structure of most Republicans, not at all.
So Brian Stelter, the eunuch, he's really upset that Elon Musk takes over Twitter.
Now, look, I'm somewhat sympathetic to this because here's what happened is that they invite these people on for these long panels that no one watches on CNN.
And I've been on television many times where you don't really know what to say.
It's because you just keep on talking.
So you kind of just kind of come up with something.
Thankfully, I've usually been able to navigate myself through it.
Brian Stelter just comes up with like the dumbest metaphor ever, which goes to show Brian Stelter was never invited to parties in his life.
Play Cut 34.
Look, who knows?
I think that's an example of a broader question for Twitter, which is, if you get invited to something where there are no rules, where there is total freedom for everybody, do you actually want to go to that party?
Or are you going to decide to stay home?
And that's a question for Twitter users.
Some Twitter users might love the idea there's going to be absolutely no moderation and no rules at all.
Before I go to your party, I need to know the rules.
The only rules that Brian Stelter would ever care about is, is there an all-you-eat, can you eat buffet?
That would be the only rules that Brian Stelter would ever be.
Can you believe that guy is 36 years old?
Jeez, life comes at you fast.
That's what working at CNN does for you.
