The Agenda Behind Rising Gas Prices 00:09:47
Hey everybody, gas prices are at record highs.
What does that mean for the American economy and for you and for the American geopolitical conversation?
The unusual network of green groups that I think everyone should know about that are behind the rising gas prices.
There's an agenda behind this.
There is a design behind this.
And in this episode, we explained to you why.

Breaking news in the last couple hours: the price of oil has now reached near record highs.
It's pennies away from record highs.
It's dancing right around there.
Now, we've gone into great detail why energy, without having to overcomplicate it, is what moves a civilization.
The civilization or the country that uses technology the most efficiently wins.
If you're able to move the most amount of stuff, expending the least amount of energy or in the cheapest way possible, you are able to progress.
You're able to feed your population.
You're able to build hospitals and schools, very basic, standardized things.
Now, of course, we've decided not to teach students this anymore.
So we have our entire government staffed with people that think energy just comes out of the air and we can extract it simply from solar panels and wind farms, and we could beat the Russians that way.
Well, now the cost of movement is more expensive than almost any other time in our lifetime.
We are seeing the price of oil now go up upwards of $120 near $130 a barrel.
In fact, one report is showing that gas is now over $7 a gallon in Los Angeles.
Play cut two.
At some local gas stations, they're way above the average.
Well, across the street from the Beverly Center, one of the most expensive places in LA, drivers are paying this: nearly $7 for regular unleaded, nearly $8 for premium.
Drivers said they were surprised and not in a good way.
And it will only continue to go up from there.
It's going to cost $150, $170 to fill up your tank of gas.
It literally costs more to go from one place to the other.
This is an interesting way to lock down a country by other means.
You can now force people to stay at home because they can't afford to actually go out of their home.
And unfortunately, it's only going to go up.
It's probably going to go to $8 or $9 a barrel.
Now, what's the significance of this?
Well, the White House, the Biden regime, is, of course, refusing to do anything about this.
They are not trying to reconstruct the Keystone XL pipeline, expand domestic oil leases.
They are not telling the oil industry to engage in more hydraulic fracturing.
No, the Biden regime is actually saying this could be a very good thing.
This is a transition.
Pete Bud Edge Edge has said this in many different times in many different ways.
This is chaos by design.
It is the architecture of disarray.
Play cut six, Axios' Jonathan Swan, says that Zelensky was pleading with the United States and Germans to shut down Nord Stream II.
And in the last two weeks, it actually shows it can be done.
Play Cut 6.
I went to Kyiv.
I interviewed President Zelensky.
I interviewed him again in the spring.
He was pleading with the United States and the Germans to shut down the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
I'm old enough to remember being told by the U.S. and the Germans it couldn't be done, that it was already completed, that it was essential so that the U.S. and the Germans could cooperate on climate change.
And we've learned in the last two weeks, oh, actually, it could be done.
And that you make choices.
And these are competing priorities running headlong into each other.
Now, we could be the sole provider of LNG for all of Europe, but we have chose not to be.
Instead, the morons that run the State Department and the rocket scientists that run our government, they have decided that somehow, if the oil and natural gas is extracted from Russia, different planet, I suppose, and climate change will be neutralized.
No, this is all about engaging in the very same promises of the Great Reset to weaken the American economy, to break the back of the fabric of the American entrepreneur.
Now that it's more expensive to get to point A to point B, your food will be more expensive, more expensive to go to point A to point B, less people will take vacations.
And by the way, this spike in oil is before the summer driving season.
This is before the summer travel rush.
Expect eight, nine, potentially $10 a gallon.
Not to mention your airline ticket from New York to LA could get to $700, $800, $900, $1,000.
What does this mean?
It means average families are going to have to go into debt just to move.
It means consumer debt is going to increase dramatically.
Now, of course, the great reset billionaire class, they'll be unaffected.
The $100 to fill up a tank of gas or $200 to fill up a tank of gas, it doesn't mean anything to them.
People that are raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars a minute, literally, could not care less about what an average person is paying at the pump.
Now, of course, this is something that is affecting people of all races, all backgrounds, but especially the muscular class.
It's especially impacting people that work with their hands, that are sole proprietors, proprietors, especially people that go from point A to point B to work, carpenters.
Well, there's electricians, people that have to pay for their own movement.
Our government is making a decision.
They're making a choice.
The choice that they're making is that they value the promises of the utopian green energy environmentalists more than the livelihood of their citizens.
Our government right now and your pocketbook is controlled by green energy environmentalists.
Joe Biden is a prisoner.
Whether Joe Biden even realizes what he is or not is irrelevant.
He's a prisoner of the Sierra Club.
The environmentalists have taken over the entire Democrat Party.
They view liquid natural gas, LNG and fracking, and oil and natural gas development to be more evil than Vladimir Putin.
Yeah, they hate Putin, sure.
But what's even more evil than that?
The Keystone XL pipeline.
Now, of course, wrapped in this is a ridiculous belief of earth worship and a quasi-pagan religious philosophy that values the alleged beauty and aesthetic of nature, even though oil and natural gas development does nothing to that over the livelihood of human beings.
Remember Cut 18, Energy Secretary Granholm called solar panels and wind turbines, quote, potentially the greatest peace plan that ever existed.
Play Cut 18.
Obviously, high energy prices have been putting a strain on households on both sides of the Atlantic.
Europe, you have seen prices go through the roof.
Of course, tensions between Russia and Ukraine pose threats to the energy security of...
This is not just an energy and climate issue.
It also is potentially the greatest peace plan that ever existed.
Now, it's hard to believe people like her are taken seriously, but she's an academic.
And we are living under the tyranny of academics that have never actually worked at their hands.
They've never actually been into the weeds of any sort of economic process.
Instead, Biden being a prisoner of people like her and the Sierra Club, we have been captured by the dreams, the utopian promises of things that will never actually be accomplished.
And make no mistake, when you send your child to college, they are taught this nonsense.
They're taught the garbage that fracking somehow pollutes the drinking water.
They're taught that we're going to run out of fuel in 10 years.
It's garbage or oil in 10 years.
It's nonsense.
And so when you send a generation of young people to college and universities and they believe these falsehoods, the deceit of the environmentalists, do not be surprised that after five years, 10 years, when they start to staff the government, all of a sudden they are ruled simply and solely by ideology.
Green Activists Holding America Hostage 00:06:46
Our entire government, no different than the Iranian hostage situation, is being held hostage at gunpoint by the green activists, the Sierra Club types, the Greenpeace types.
And they're loving this because they believe that this will only usher in the continued transition to break the back of the evil of fossil fuels.
And because of that, it's going to be harder for you to move around.
With all the noise surrounding the topics of money and the economy, today more than ever before, you need a financial guide that you can trust.
That's why I trust PAX Financial Group.
Not only do they share my conservative values, they are committed to putting your interests ahead of their own.
Big Wall Street firms are forcing their political agendas into your investments.
And it's time to stop giving your money to companies that don't share your values or use their profits, my profits, as a way to silence Christians.
PAX is proud to offer an alternative called BRIs, Biblical Responsible Investing.
Look, I got to know the people behind PAX Financial at a pro-life dinner in San Antonio.
I got to know them, and they told me about biblical responsible investing.
And at first, I wasn't really sure what to make of it.
But as I got to know the team behind PAX Financial, we agreed to partner with them here on the Charlie Kirk Show.
Biblical responsible investing supports and promotes our values of being pro-family and pro-life and screens out companies that support pornography or anti-Christian or anti-conservative.
If you have $150,000 or more in investments, text them, Charlie, at number 74868.
Text them, just Charlie, right now to number 74868.
They'll be able to schedule a 15-minute free no-obligation consultation.
I'm moving some of my money over to PAX Financial.
And honestly, I hope they do well with it with some of the returns.
But I'm happy that part of my portfolio will be able to go towards biblical responsible investing.
I think they're going to crush it for me in the market, but I'll be able to know that my hard-earned dollars are not going towards pornography, anti-Christian, pro-BLM nonsense.
You'll be connected with a financial advisor who will walk this through with you.
Text Charlie at number 74868 today.
Invest in companies that don't hate you.
Invest in companies that I believe are actually consistent with biblical truths.
Go to biblical responsible investing.
If that interests you, text right now to 74868.
Just Charlie in the body there.
Check it out right now.
Brought to you by PAX Financial Group PAX.
I want you to think about how sinister you must be to want to hurt people so that you could have a desired potential utopian objective on the backside.
Well, that's exactly what this regime is doing.
The Biden regime is telling the people of America: look, we understand that you might have to go into debt.
We understand you're going to have to spend money you don't have.
We understand this might break the back of your business, but don't you understand how beautiful it will be?
Because then we can usher in solar panels on cars and we could just be happier thanks to that.
Now, I'm all for innovation in the space of trying to have renewable energy.
But isn't it interesting how they're not able to convince us to use renewable energy without actually having to break fossil fuels first?
That by definition is not a natural transformation.
They are intervening.
They want to get to, what, 2040 or 2050 carbon-neutral emissions or whatever, zero net emissions, or whatever nonsense that they're publishing.
Well, why is that?
They truly believe that the industrial economy, powered by natural gas, fuel, and nuclear power, by the way, they never want to talk about nuclear power.
That just shows the fraud that they are.
They believe that it's so bad for the aesthetic of the environment.
It's so bad for nature that they must crush human beings being able to flourish so that they can achieve some sort of abstract, distant, hard to define ideological agenda.
And this has not happened overnight.
We are going to go through many of the promises and many of the claims by the green energy environmentalists.
The green energy environmentalists for years have said we need to keep all the oil in the ground.
Joe Biden ran on getting rid of fossil fuels.
He said it explicitly.
And so I'm going to say this as kindly as I possibly can.
If you are complaining that you're paying too much at the pump and you voted for Joe Biden, you voted for this.
And I'll go a step further.
If you're a Republican who didn't care about ballot harvesting and now you're complaining about high energy prices, you're complicit in this.
All of this created a tornado of green energy activism, where now the same way that the Iranians held hostages, when Jimmy Carter was president, the green energy czars are holding hostages in the White House.
Joe Biden is being presented with all the options to bring down gas prices.
Add this to his mounting political liabilities of open borders, the Afghanistan debacle, what's happening in Russia and Ukraine, double-digit inflation, and many other issues.
People can't even afford to fill up a gallon of gas, $7 a gallon.
And what does Biden have to say for it?
Even if he was trying to be a magnanimous president, which he isn't, he's an ideological Woodrow Wilson type.
He's an ideological Lyndon Baines-Johnson FDR type.
If you were to sit in his house in Delaware and they'd lay out all the options, every single option that would actually be meaningful, every single option that would actually make a difference in lowering gas prices, every single one of them, he's not able to do.
Because his puppet masters, the people that are actually holding him hostage, the people he's a prisoner of, say no.
They say you can't do that.
You go to the Sierra Club website.
It's very instructive.
They're one of the most powerful environmental groups.
They have a massive lobbying effort.
It says, together we are powerful.
The country belongs to all of us.
Together, we can deepen the movement for a livable planet, safe communities, and a democracy that works for everyone.
Powerful Environmental Groups and Lobbying 00:03:00
Oh, interesting.
You know what it says on the front page of Sierra Club?
It says, quote, voting rights is climate action.
That's interesting.
That's what we call intersectionality, by the way.
It is a term coined by the left-wing campus activists that have no purpose.
What happens when you have a generation raised not to believe in God?
They become pagans, otherwise known as environmentalists.
There's one right here.
We are building a movement that helps people from all walks of life connect to the places they live.
And there's a huge picture here.
R-E-T-I-R-E, people in kayaks saying that they need to retire fossil fuels.
There's one action item after the other.
And this is just a Sierra Club, by the way.
There is a network of these.
And let's just say one, we're going to reiterate what we said on a prior show.
It is proven that Russia, the Russian government, funds all of these sorts of activities and groups.
It's in the Russian government's interest to have a strong green energy infrastructure here in America to try to prevent our own energy dominance.
The Sierra Club brags right here, how many oil and natural gas plants that they have closed, how many coal plants they've retired.
Being an entrepreneur and running a business is not for the faint of heart.
I have two jobs.
I do the Charlie Kirk show till noon, then Turning Point USA till I go to sleep and all the problems in between.
A lot of stress.
330 days on the road I spent last year.
But if you're not careful, the stress can start to take a toll on your body, raising your blood pressure, making it harder to sleep, draining you of vital energy, and making you more irritable.
That's why I recommend you supplement with magnesium daily.
About 75% of people are magnesium deficient.
That number might be higher among business owners and seed level professionals.
That's because stress depletes magnesium levels.
This can trigger a various cycle of rising stress and severe magnesium deficiency.
This deficiency can lead to higher levels of anxiety, irritability, trouble sleeping, and low energy.
It can even contribute to foot and leg cramps while you sleep.
Now, you might be wondering, does magnesium really affect all these things?
Well, the answer is yes.
In fact, magnesium is involved in more than 300 chemical processes inside your body.
So a lot of different things can start to go wrong if you're deficient.
The good news is you can experience a number of positive health benefits just by getting enough magnesium, including better sleep, more energy, healthy blood pressure, less irritability, a calmer mood, stronger bones, reduced muscle cramping, and even a few migraines.
But to experience these health benefits, you have to get the right kinds of magnesium.
Truth is, most magnesium supplements you find in health stores use the only two cheapest synthetic forms.
They're not full spectrum.
There are actually seven unique forms of magnesium.
You must get all of them if you want to experience its calming stress-relieving effects.
That's why I recommend magnesium breakthrough from Buy Optimizers.
It's the only full organic, full spectrum magnesium supplement that includes seven unique forms of magnesium for stress relief and better sleep all in one bottle.
Simply take two capsules before you go to bed, and you'll be amazed by the improvements in your mood and energy levels.
And how much more rest did you feel when you wake up?

Who controls Joe Biden?
He's a prisoner of many different groups.
He's a prisoner of the teacher unions.
He's a prisoner of Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Johnson ⁇ Johnson.
Every decision that this administration makes is because of an order given by a group that either helped get him into office, that helped implement him into office, or that is currently giving him cover fire or is a backbone of the Democrat regime.
Well, let's read what one of his, let's say, wardens believe in, because he's a prisoner of somebody.
You go to greenpeace.org.
It says real zero.
What is hashtag real zero?
Great question, Greenpeace writes.
First, let's start out with net zero, a term you've probably heard before.
Burn now, pay later.
Nations of the world pledged in 2015 Paris climate agreement to collectively achieve net zero carbon emissions globally by 2050.
Climate scientists say we must hit net zero to avoid climate catastrophe.
It's a goal we should all support.
The term net zero is also being exploited by governments and corporations who are using it as smokescreen to keep burning fossil fuels via a loophole called carbon offset credits.
So instead, they want real zero, not net zero.
The only way out of the climate crisis is to get to net zero.
Real zero equals net zero minus offsets.
It means reducing and stopping all carbon emissions before they are put into the atmosphere.
It means full speed ahead to a transformation of our energy and transport systems to 100% renewable sources.
This is greenpeace.org.
No more fossil fuel burning, no offsetting scams.
This is the website.
You can see it for yourself.
It's greenpeace.org.
Sierra Club is very similar.
Now, again, we've gone through in great detail the evidence that shows that Russia has been funding green energy groups.
We should be having criminal investigations into how Russia has been covertly funding of these anti-fossil fuel groups.
Thehill.com calls for this.
Investigate Russia's covert funding of U.S. anti-fossil fuel groups.
Makes you wonder how successful the green energy groups would have been the last couple years if our government actually spent time investigating legitimate Russian collusion instead of whether or not Donald Trump had any sort of ties to the Russian Kremlin, which of course he didn't.
Russia was smart.
Russia realized that there was a religious fervor behind the belief in green energy in America.
So what did Russia do?
Russia decided to put millions of dollars, which is a rounding error given the billions of dollars a day that the energy sector basically helps fund in Russia towards green energy activists that sole that really needed the support here domestically.
Now, of course, the way that they're spinning it, for example, you go to this website inside Climate News of all the environmentalists that hold our White House hostage, they say, quote, whatever his motives are, Putin's war in Ukraine is fueled by oil and gas.
The U.S. oil industry is hoping to fill the immediate void with increased oil and gas exports while the EU moves in the longer term to replace Russian gas with renewable energy.
Basically, this article is saying, hey, we shouldn't allow American oil and natural gas to capitalize on the fact that Putin is using oil and natural gas to capitalize on us.
Let's just listen to their own words.
Pete Budigej says, We're under an energy transformation.
Play cut 22.
Drill more, open up more U.S. land to drilling.
What's the administration's response to that idea?
Well, look, the president has laid out and taken a number of steps, including addressing the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
Let's also be clear that we are in the middle of a long-term transformation that is already fast underway, especially when it comes to vehicles.
So, this idea of a transformation that you must try to move forward is Hegelian in nature.
It is a German historicist philosophy that came from the 1800s that largely influenced Karl Marx, by the way.
That there might be messiness along the way, that there's a thesis and an antithesis, and they have to mash together and they create a synthesis.
Basically, it is the way that they view history.
That, for example, this is how Vladimir Lenin justified killing millions of people, Stalin as well.
That these are all just rounding statistical errors towards the betterment, the ushering in of heaven on earth.
This is how Pete Buttigieg justifies, whether he consciously realizes it or not, but he's been trained in this idea of progress.
You see, if you always look at the imagery or you look at the pictures of the Maoists, we can get a picture of this from Mao Sedong's Cultural Revolution.
They always have the picture of the head tilted up, the chin to the sky, and the eyes to the corner of the picture.
Why?
It's as if we're gazing upwards and we're going to lead you into the betterment, the perfection, the utopia of existence.
Keepitintheground.org, which over 400 organizations have participated in, say we need no new fossil fuel development.
They are demanding no more fossil fuel development, and over 400 organizations have signed on to it.
Now, in America, there are many of these organizations you might not have even heard of.
The list is so incredibly long.
Let me just name a couple of them.
These are the people, by the way, that are holding your president hostage.
They're the people that have taken over the White House.
Young Voices for the Planet, Women's Earth and Climate Action Network, Wild Earth Guardians, the Water Keeper Alliance, Up to Us, U.S. Climate Plan, the Canary Coalition, the Seeds for the Soul, the Safe Climate Campaign, San Antonio 350, the PowerShift Network, Movement Rights, the Leonardo Caprio Foundation.
Oh, interesting.
The Justice and Witness Ministries of the United Church of Christ.
I could go on.
The list is about 100 organizations.
We're going to list all of them on charliekirk.com because it's important you guys know actually who are the organizations that are financing the fact that you might have to go into debt to send your kids to be able to drive your kids to school.
What are the organizations that are making Vladimir Putin rich?
What I'm trying to make the point is that there is a sophisticated, well-funded, sometimes foreign-funded infrastructure that is making all of this pain and suffering happen.
This is not a mistake.
It's by design.
350.org.
You guys can check it out right now.
Go to 350.org.
You guys can see it.
It says stop fossil fuels.
Build 100% renewables.
It says, we are standing up to the fossil fuel industry to stop all new coal, oil and gas projects, and build a clean energy future for all.
This is the way that they spin the Putin thing.
They say Putin's war highlights the dangers of fossil fuel dependency.
That's what 350.org believes.
Again, you must be so hypnotized.
You must be so into the literature of the nonsense of the academy to believe this stuff.
But they do.
It says fossil fuels create conflict and are the backbone of Russia's power.
Oh, really, 350.org?
When we had $25 a barrel oil when Trump was president, was the world safer or was it more dangerous?
How many times did Russia invade under Trump's watch versus Obama or Biden's watch?
Did they annex Crimea under Trump?
Of course not.
Did they invade Ukraine under Trump's watch?
No.
Because we were energy independent.
Because Trump understood very simply, you don't have to overthink this.
You do not have to have the degree from Yale in North African lesbian poetry or you don't have to have some degree in fossil fuel transformation studies or sciences from Stanford to say, huh, energy is how you move things.
How you move things matters.
And if we can move things, products, goods, services, people, ideas, more efficiently, then that's going to make the tyrants and the despots less powerful.
Kamala Harris has said, quote, our transportation sector has reached a turning point to make a transition on energy.
Play Cut 25.
Our transportation sector has reached a turning point.
We are all in the midst of a turning point.
We have the technology to transition to a zero-emission fleet.
Our administration, together, all of us, is working to make that possibility a reality.
So I could do a whole hour on this, but do you see the gaze of the citizens?
Do you see where their eyes are?
Their eyes are upwards.
Mao is obviously in the upper right-hand corner.
And what we call, and you see their fist is clenched?
You see that?
This is the imagery of the totalitarians.
It's very similar to the imagery that you're seeing from this current regime.
It's the gaze upwards.
We're going to move humanity.
We're going to move the species itself to a higher level of existence.
And yes, if you look at that kind of clenched fist, it should remind you of BLM because it's the same sort of imagery.
It's the same essence of energy.
Now, before you think that I'm just kind of quoting from some sort of obscure 350 website, here's the New Yorker, quote, we know how to end all of this by hastening the transition to renewable energy sources, creating a clean electrical grid, and using electricity to heat homes and offices and to power transparency.
I'm sorry.
Where do you think electricity comes from?
The holes in the wall?
Where does electricity originate from?
You rub your hands together?
You snap your fingers?
It says here, Joe Biden's, this is the New Yorker, Build Back Better plan, which Senator Manchin shot down at the end of last year, contained proposals to do these things.
Last year, Manchin told Politico that he was open to smaller spending bills focused on prescription drugs, tax reform, and climate.
We as conservatives believe some very fundamental things.
We believe that nature is the norm.
This is Aristotelian in nature.
We believe that humanity will not be brought through some sort of transformational process, as Pete Budejej has said, just because we create tension, conflict, chaos, and disarray.
You see, the other side, the leftists, they actually believe that if they can create disarray, that that will then be the genesis of something better and perfect coming out of it.
We believe that the entrance into chaos for chaos' sake will not create anything better.
In fact, it could descend you further and further into hell.
Okay, so let's get to some more sound here.
Let's go to Pete Buttigeg today.
He said, look, we've started on a $5 billion plan to create charging stations that everyone has access.
By the way, the average cost of an electrical vehicle is $55,000 a year.
Play cut 26.
Clean transportation can bring significant cost savings for the American people as well.
Last month, we announced a $5 billion investment to build out a nationwide electric vehicle charging network so the people from rural to suburban to urban communities can all benefit from the gas savings of driving an EV.
So let me ask you, Pete Butjej, and by the way, that Kamala Harris tape that we played was from today.
It's just hard to believe.
This is how arrogant they are.
Now, I want to say this.
Some people are saying, Charlie, you know, Biden is not a prisoner because he's a willful prisoner.
Well, okay, that's partially true.
I think that might be right.
The point is the whole regime cannot even do what is right by the American people because 350.org, the Sierra Club, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, I could go through the whole list.
The list is extraordinary.
The Climate Justice Project, let's just pick any one of these right here.
Let's do the Climate Justice Project.
Never heard of it before.
Sure, it's Russian funded.
Climate Justice Project.
Okay, climatejustice.co.
The Climate Justice Project aims to provide accessible discussions of the justice-related issues that underpin an effective response to climate change.
I know many of you have never heard of these groups.
Neither have I.
But this kind of master list of who signed these letters.
How about this one?
I've never heard this one before.
Ecoequity.
Ecoequity.
Okay, ecoequity.org.
Global economic justice as the key to a better world.
Here's what it says.
Treating emissions of the super rich is essentially if we want to actually stabilize the climate system.
And here's what it says, that we need to have a plan, an agenda to phase out all fossil fuels.
Quote, a fair share fossil phase-out.
A civil society equity review on an equitable global phase-out of fossil fuels.
You might ask yourself the question, you know, as I list off the over 400 groups that signed this letter, who's funding all these groups?
Well, the Russian government has funded these groups.
Russian oligarchs have funded these groups.
And also celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio and billionaires like Tom Steyer that really have no deep understanding or an appreciation of how modern civilization came to be or how it can continue to be civilization, not some sort of despotic surf kingdom of people that are fighting and clamoring over their chance to drive an electric car and they get one flight a year as mandated by the government because we do not have the energy to be able to have a vibrant society.
By definition, what you are seeing happening is not a transition.
It's not a progression.
It's not some sort of tension that will usher in a better tomorrow.
