Canada.
Canada remains a major issue I want to dive into.
Isn't it interesting how Republican senators are far more interested in what's happening in Ukraine than what's happening in Canada?
In Canada, they're like, oh, yeah, whatever.
It's fine that the entire basically domestic Canadian military was mobilized against Canadian citizens.
People trying to film on the streets were arrested and were assaulted.
People were run over, literally, on the streets of Canada.
The organizer of the Canadian convoy, someone by the name of Tamara or Tamara Lich, has been denied bail.
She's a mother.
She's threatened with 10 years in prison for wanting her daughter to grow up in a free Canada.
It was a nice goal, but wrong country.
They don't want it.
Now, what's amazing, and I'm still trying to make sense of this, is do the people of Canada support this?
Well, first, we know that American Democrats totally do support this from the post-millennial.
A recent poll revealed that a majority of American Democrats approve of the Canadian prime minister's crackdown on the freedom protesters in Ottawa after he invoked the Emergencies Act last week.
In a poll conducted by Trafalgar and the Convention of States action obtained by the Daily Wire, it revealed that 55% of likely general election voters overall disapprove of Troto's Trudeau's handling.
However, Democrat voters, 65% of them, favor Trudeau's crackdown on the protesters.
Of course, Republicans, 87%, say they disapprove of such measures.
Now, whether or not we know American Democrats support it, but do Canadians support it?
Well, it sees that 66%, according to Morrow Public Opinion, of Canadians support Prime Minister Justin Trudeau bringing in the Emergencies Act.
A majority, 56% of Canadians, do not support the truckers who are protesting in any way, shape, or form.
This is a majority view held in every province, region, across the country.
Now, most people in America have no idea what's actually happening in Canada.
I talked to some people that are kind of moderate to the left the other day, and I said, you know, what's amazing is happening in Canada.
They said, what do you mean?
I said, what do you mean?
They said, yeah, what's happening in Canada?
Zero knowledge at all whatsoever, had no understanding or awareness of anything happening in Canada.
So, for those of you that might not have seen the coverage this weekend, Trudeau basically declared martial law.
He brought the military in the streets of Ottawa and went block by block, street by street, and the police willingly and in some cases enthusiastically followed the orders of Justin Trudeau.
And I just want to give a little warning here, which is we support the police 100% in America, but we will stop supporting the police at a moment's notice if they just follow orders the way the Canadian police did.
We love the police.
They restore order.
They do their job.
They do a great service.
But for every police officer out there, I hope you're listening very carefully and I hope you're doing some reflection.
Hope you're doing some prayer and some meditation and rumination on this.
Would you march the streets of Ottawa and arrest peaceful protesters and knee them in the rib and take them out of trucks and arrest them forcefully and trample them like they did?
Would you do that?
What's happening in Ottawa is far more instructive to the future of America than what's happening in Kiev or whatever is happening in Ukraine.
Ottawa is a test run.
Ottawa is a dry run.
It's a dress rehearsal.
And there's many components of this because it's both what is happening with the force of the police and also the extra judicial measures that Canada has been willing to implement, such as seizure of bank accounts, the capturing of crypto asset Bitcoin wallets, the multiple different ways that they are beginning a crackdown against dissidents.
And something very important to remember.
Totalitarians and that idea of totalitarianism is a 20th century wrinkle in some ways.
We had dictators prior to the 20th century, but C.S. Lewis, Winston Churchill, Elvis Huxley, George Orwell, and Arthur Kessler, the big five that we talk about, Darkness at Noon, Screwtape Letters, 1984,
Brave New World, and the writings of Churchill, all five of them, and they were all contemporaries, they knew each other, all five of those authors in the 1940s and 1950s, they really developed in a deep and thoughtful way this idea of totalitarianism, which is more than a dictatorship, which is one man making a decision.
But totalitarianism is all-encompassing, total.
Total is the root of the word.
We control your thoughts.
We control your dreams.
We control your actions.
We control your ambitions.
As it famously says in 1984 by Orwell, the best way to keep a secret from Big Brother is to first keep the secret from yourself.
So what's happening in Canada, you could call it a canary in the coal mine.
You can call it a harbinger, a thing to come.
But I hope every American freedom lover, regardless of your political party, is studying it carefully and then making moves appropriately because it's going to come here next.
The people of Canada overwhelmingly support it.
That's what everyone is, that's what the polls are showing.
I don't know if I believe that or not, but let's say it's 50% of people in Canada support it.
It's awfully telling.
They're not a freedom-loving people.
They're not a liberty-loving people like we are in America.
But the point is that Trudeau had power and he was willing to use it.
Now, orders are only as good as the people who execute them.
Orders are only as good as the shock troopers that hear the order and then do it.
And so for American National Guardsmen, American police officers, this needs to be a time of reflection that when it comes here, when it comes to our shores, whose side will you be on?
We already know in New York City, the wonderful New York Police Department, who we totally support, they're arresting nine-year-olds for not having vaccine paperwork at museums.
I'm just following orders.
More evil has been done.
Let me say more evil has been executed in the last hundred years from people that gave the excuse.
I was just giving orders.
I am not comparing Canada to the atrocities of 1930s or 1940s Germany explicitly.
I think it's in the same ecosystem.
But just following orders was not an excuse at Nuremberg.
It's not.
You pledge an oath to the Constitution.
And if the leaders feel as if their orders are not going to be followed through by police officers or by National Guardsmen, then all of a sudden they might not make them in the first place.
They need shock troopers.
And what's happening in Ottawa is some of the shock troopers, not all, that are doing this in the streets of Ottawa, dragging people through the streets, throwing people down in the snow, seizing property, no bail, no chance of getting out of jail for the foreseeable future.
Huh, I wonder where we've seen that before, like the January 6th protesters that are in solitary confinement, the political prisoners.
Those police officers that are doing that, many of them are bragging on social media and having the time of their lives.
They're loving it.

Trudeau says the MPs who vote against the Emergency Act indicate that, quote, they don't trust the government to make incredibly momentous and important decisions.
Obviously, they don't trust the government, but the fact that they say that out loud and it's some sort of insult in Canada shows the different philosophy governing a country like Canada versus America.
In America, not trusting the government is a huge part of one of our major political parties.
We are naturally skeptical of centralized power, and you should be.
If you are embracing a centralized power, you hate history.
You either hate it or you are ignorant.
You're intentionally ignorant of it.
Big anything usually falls apart.
Big anything is usually corrupt.
The big UN, the big WHO, big China, big pharma, big Hollywood, big government, the big IRS, play cut 20.
I can't imagine that anyone who votes no tonight is doing anything other than indicating that they don't trust the government to make incredibly momentous and important decisions.
But like I said, I am confident that the majority of parliamentarians will stand up to support our values, to stand up to support our democracy.
And they did.
A majority of the MPs gave Trudeau the emergency acts power, martial law, because a bunch of people went to Ottawa peacefully, had a block party, and a bouncy castle and honked their horns.
That is worth signing the emergency act as if they're being invaded, as if there was some sort of ISIS insurgency.
Now, I want to use this moment to give a little fair warning.
There is a trucker American convoy that is starting up.
There's two of them, and I think they'll meet up at some point.
I am fully, completely, and enthusiastically in support of an American freedom convoy.
However, and listen carefully, the United States government, the regime, remember the regime is bigger than the government.
We've been through this before.
Regime is a blanket term we use on this program that incorporates Hollywood, Silicon Valley, celebrities, banking titans, World Health Organization, unelected bureaucrats, and of course the government.
It's all the power sources.
The regime is already working to kill the convoy before it starts.
The federal government and the regime has perfected the extra judicial powers, and they've done it in many different ways, like against WikiLeaks over a decade ago, when they weren't able to get a judge or a grand jury to agree Julian Assange had committed a crime.
So what do they do?
They freeze people's accounts.
They'll pressure financial institutions To cut off payments.
They'll seize crypto wallets.
They'll infiltrate this convoy with federal agents.
They'll criminalize the protesters as part of the American Freedom Convoy by labeling them domestic violent extremists, DVEs, and they'll try to instigate violence when none is present.
There is a cancer in America, and it's not Trump supporters.
It's the corrupt fourth estate regime.
And this is going to happen in the next couple weeks.
So you're going to see an American Trucker Freedom Convoy.
And I want every trucker who participates, and again, I enthusiastically support this to know the moment that you cross into the Eastern time zone and the closer you get to D.C., you must be willing to go to jail for the rest of your life despite doing nothing wrong, having no money, no job, no insurance, and be tarred and feathered as a terrorist for the rest of your life.
Now, I know a lot of us want to see the convoy build, and you say, Charlie, why are you trying to scare them?
I'm being honest.
The U.S. Trucker Convoy is set off for D.C. this week from California, and I think there's another one coming in a couple weeks.
There's two of them, I think.
This one's called the People's Convoy.
It's rolling out of California tomorrow, actually, representing all Americans.
The convoy is going.
Now, if they try to blockade D.C., they're going to do what Trudeau did, but they're going to do it, I think, even more.
They're going to bring in the National Guard.
And so that goes back to my warning: police officers and National Guard, are you willing to execute the orders against your own citizens as you watch what happened in Canada?
You said, man, that's bad.
It's coming here.
Washington, D.C. prepares for a U.S. Freedom Convoy.
Officials request National Guard troops.
They're going to try to compare this to January 6th.
Of course, they can.
That's all they have.
And they're going to try to infiltrate the convoy with federal agents to try to instigate chatter that is not authentic or organic.
They're going to try to post Confederate flags on the side of trucks.
We already saw with Gretchen Whitmer how they can infiltrate an operation and make it a majority federal government involvement operation.

Someone just sent me a phenomenal note.
They said the trucker convoy should avoid Washington, D.C., and instead go to Republican offices of governors and senators across the country.
They're state offices.
And for example, go to Utah, go to North Carolina, go to Oklahoma, and go to South Carolina and ask, hey, why were you in Munich worrying about Ukraine when the vaccine mandate vote was up in the Senate?
Why'd you do that?
That would be in some ways far more effective if Republicans started to receive that sort of attention.
I don't know if they'd be able to handle that.

Courage is the ability to know when to act properly and correctly in the face of pain.
When you think about that, it's also doing the right thing when you don't know how it's going to work out.

So that's where we're at.
Well, that's great.
So tell us a little bit, Drew, about some of the philosophy you're going to bring by going to the front lines and reporting what's actually happening when news unfolds.
Yeah, so this is what has become like a lost art.
You know, with our new show, I'll be hosting five days a week, and I have an entire network of on-the-ground reporters that I've been in contact with for the past few years, even right now, with some upcoming episodes on Frontlines.
Today we got Kyle Rittenhouse, but tomorrow we have the on-the-ground journalists in Ottawa right now.
They're going to come on live tomorrow and give us updates of what is actually taking place on the ground in Canada.
Alex, the woman that was assaulted by police officers the other day, some post-millennial journalists that are on the ground, Rebel News, they're doing an amazing job.
So the reason why this is important, Charlie, is, I mean, my experience being on the ground, the 2020 riots and 2021, just covering protests and stuff like that, is, you know, when we're dealing with fake news, right?
When we're dealing with these, I call them fake news media cartels.
I mean, they all move in unison.
They are an establishment that has the same message when they're slandering and targeting their political opponents.
The only way to really combat that is to have people that are involved with these stories that are taking place, especially when there's things unfolding on the ground.
So the philosophy behind what frontlines is actually going to be is a continuation of what I've already been doing.
And that's having people on the ground being at these places because it's really hard to lie when you have video evidence.
I mean, there's no commentary.
There's, you know, the context is given, but it's just you see it for yourself.
It's hard to really deny reality when things are just happening right before your very eyes.
But they still try, anyways.
And you know this, Charlie, even though you're literally watching something in real time happen, they still come and they slander and they lie and they propagate.
But I mean, that doesn't mean we stopped trying.
Yeah, it was a fiery but mostly peaceful protest in Kenosha, right?
While the building is burning behind that guy and he has like the goggles, you know, on his hat, on his forehead.
Yeah, it's fiery, but mostly peaceful.
So, Drew, talk to us about Canada.
We're getting some footage here and there out of Ottawa, but I don't think nearly enough.
Talk about how the regime of Canada is making what you are doing with us at Turning Point USA, citizen journalism, basically illegal now.
Well, this is real totalitarian fascism.
This is the real deal.
When you have the federal government, you have the government at large that is literally and specifically targeting political dissent, targeting political opponents and silencing them, especially the media.
We know that aspects of the government, they're in cahoots with each other, especially here in the United States.
CNN is obviously in cahoots with the Democrat, with the left and the far left.
But what we have to understand is when you see a totalitarian government not only control its media, but silence any opposition, that's serious, dangerous territory.
And that is exactly where Canada is right now.
Rebel news journalists have been specifically being targeted on the ground while they were at the protests in Ottawa.
They were reporting this in real time when the police began to move in and clear the streets of the truckers.
Some of the journalists on the ground were messaging me telling me, hey, these police, I don't even think they're police officers, Charlie.
These are like stormtroopers, like UN shipped in people that are just there to like control the police state, right?
These are evil people.
These are not people that we back.
When we say back the blue, it's not these guys.
These guys are evil.
This is the police state.
We back the good blue.
I think you would agree with that.
Yeah, I do.
But, you know, so what I'm saying is when you have the media being specifically targeted, they've been messaging me saying, Drew, Alex, she was on Tucker.
She's been all over.
She was specifically shot with a less lethal munition by a stormtrooper and all these other journalists that are walking around just filming, even citizens.
I mean, the viral video that went out the other day of this citizen walking down the street in Ottawa trying to get a coffee and she's filling the cops and they get in her face like a gang of thugs.
Say, why are you filming us?
Why is your camera in our face?
And the stormtrooper grabs her camera, says, do not do this.
If we see you again, it's going to be a different story and stops her from filming and threatens her.
So we are seeing a totalitarian regime silence its media.
And it's for one reason.
They don't want the world to see what's really happening.
They don't want their own people to see what's happening.
That's the sinister part, Charlie, is not only do they not want the world seeing what's taking place and their crimes against humanity, they don't want people in Canada to see how violent they've been getting.
Like literally kneeing truckers, the guy that was on Tucker last night that was literally beaten by these stormtroopers, knead multiple times when he got out of his truck, literally put his hands behind his head peacefully, basically surrendered, but they still took him aside because those stormtroopers didn't know there were cameras watching, but there were.
That's exactly what they don't want the world to see and their own people to see, that they are really violent, tyrannical psychopaths.
That's what these people are.
Just call it for what it is.
Yeah.
And so this is part of the new terrain in the new war, right?
Because corporate media, even the allegedly conservative corporate media, they're not getting out in the streets, right?
So we all have these supercomputers in our right-hand pocket, our phones, and very few people actually decide to use them.
When you think, it's actually what I mean by use them is to film what's actually happening in real time.
Talk about, Drew, how you are going to be trying to empower a new generation of citizen journalists to try to get into the incidents that are happening.
I mean, let's just talk about, you know, the race riots you covered.
You really helped a lot get the truth out with Kyle Rittenhouse and praise God for that.
But we saw CHOP.
We saw January 6th.
We've seen what's happened in Ottawa.
A lot of the civilization, the civilizational turning events, Drew, are happening not in cigar-filled rooms or kind of these backdoor deals.
They're happening in the streets where citizen journalists could expose what's really going on.
Talk about that.
You know, in my theology as a born-again Christian, I would see myself as a little more reformed.
That's a whole other conversation.
But I say that because I think my involvement with journalism and I think my involvement with on the ground reporting has been like this reformation.
And when you're experiencing a reformation, when you're experiencing something like that, you're basically going back to the basics.
You're going back to what it once was.
You're going back to what the core doctrine of what something once used to be, departing from where it's at now.
And that's what I chose to do with my own personal career.
And I think that's kind of what it's become.
And I want to encourage people because, listen, I'm a nobody, Charlie.
I didn't go, you know, to university or college to be a journalist.
I didn't study this stuff.
I just saw that there was a lie taking place in the American media.
And I decided to go out there and expose it with a freaking phone.
And that's what I decided to do.
And I think it really is as simple as that.
I think we overcomplicate things sometimes.
And I think there's people at home that might think, like, you know, I'm not this, I'm not that.
I'm not the best, you know, videographer.
I mean, there's so many avenues, Charlie, and you know this of journalism and news that need to be addressed.
I mean, when it comes to writing and articles, you know what I mean?
I'm not a writer, but there might be someone out there that is just phenomenal.
We need that.
We need a reformation in that.
We need to come back to just honest articles and reporting of just people breaking down what happened.
There's so many different avenues where you could be a writer.
You could be a videographer.
You could be someone that's on the camera communicating.
God knows we need honest people communicating on camera right now, Charlie.
And we do our best to do that.
But there's so many different avenues people can get involved with.
But the core thing here, Charlie, and I know your heart is here too, is truth, right?
It's truth.
The core foundation of what we are doing in the world of the media and journalism is we want to tell the truth.
We want to get to the truth.
We want to know the truth because that is what is going to genuinely lead a human being to make their own autonomous, independent decisions.
We have lost that, Charlie, in the media.
We have lost that completely and people want that back.
People desperately want that back because the news isn't a bad thing.
Journalism isn't a bad thing.
But just like anything else in this world, it could be taken, tainted, and made evil.
And that's happened with our media, Charlie.
So I just want to be involved.
I guess we can call it this like reformation that's been happening in the world of journalism.
And I hope to empower more people to be encouraged to do that.

So lockdowns, one of the reasons why lockdowns continue to happen in California as kids wear masks, but celebrities don't.
And lockdowns happened is because the rich were largely unaffected by them.
In fact, the rich actually kind of liked them.
The rich were, they got to be wealthier than ever.
Their stock market portfolio exploded because of the crony capitalist stimulus, quote-unquote, bailout packages that were passed.
Lockdowns were power gifts to people that otherwise would never have had these kind of emergency powers to tell you how you could worship, how you could travel, how you could eat.
All these sorts of things were powers that they never thought they would even get their hands on.
But I believe we're going to see another lockdown, not necessarily the next couple months, next couple years, but maybe under a different topic.
What's to say they will not try to lock down only a day a week, okay, everybody, for climate change.
Who's to say they won't try to lock down for carbon emissions?
Was all of this just a dry run to try to get us used to being completely and totally locked down?
Now, when Canadians started to fight back against this, well, liberal Canadian MPs said that Hong Kong is code for Heil Hitler.
They have to get new material, honestly.
Everything goes back to the 1930s and 40s.
There's other parts of history that you guys can relate to.

They only give up power when an equal or opposite power rises against them.
That was the potential impact of the truckers, but our own government wouldn't be bothered to try to stand by them.

It's not over.
We will not give up our emergency powers just because we got what we wanted, because now we got what we really wanted, which is to be in control with no checks and balances.
