Science Changed, Masks Off 00:14:55
Hey everybody, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
This is producer Andrew Colvett filling in for Charlie.
But never fear, we have an action-packed episode in store for you.
Blue states shedding the mask mandates, all because the science has changed, folks.
Or is there something more to the story?
We go into great detail what's going on in places like Manhattan and New York City, New York State, California, and elsewhere.
We also have the great Libby Evans, the editor-in-chief of the Postmillennial, who joins us for a first-person account as a Brooklynite.
I called her a Manhattanite.
Whoops.
She is in Brooklyn, but she gives us the first-hand details.
You're not going to want to miss it.
Post-millennial, excellent, excellent outlet and great friends of the right-wing dissident movement.
You're not going to want to miss it.
Buckle up.
Here we go.
Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
I want to thank Charlie.
He's an incredible guy.
His spirit, his love of this country.
He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.
Turning point USA.
We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
That's why we are here.
Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.
There is an absolute explosion going on.
We talked about this in the show yesterday.
Charlie did that.
The science has changed.
That is what the left wants you to think, that the science has changed.
And I think Charlie made a very compelling argument for the fact that the science hasn't changed.
The hypothesis has changed.
The scientists have changed.
And certainly the political calculus has changed.
Make no doubt about it.
The political establishment on the left is looking at these abysmal polls and saying that we're about to get crushed in November.
The rats are jumping off the ship.
The ship is sinking.
And they all know it.
Now, there are a few holdouts to this, but I think it's important to count the victories while we have them.
You've got states like California, New York, Oregon, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware.
These are blue states that have looked at the tea leaves and their political futures, not the science, mind you, but their political futures, and said, now is the time to change the science.
Now is the time to say what people on the right, shows like this one, have been saying for a very, very long time now.
Was it Connor was 15 days to slow the spread?
We've probably been saying this for about, you know, 735 days now, that it was time to end this nonsense.
Now, I want to start all of this with a clip of a comedian, Heather McDonald.
And I'm not playing this clip to be crass or to celebrate somebody's pain or injury.
I hope that this comedian, Heather McDonald, is well.
She seems to be.
She's talking to reporters.
But if you haven't seen this clip or heard it yet, it is very telling.
And the reason I want to start with it is because it feels exactly like what's happening within this larger COVID narrative, this larger mask mandate narrative, everything that's happening in Canada.
This is the perfect visualization of the regime's narrative.
Play Cut 72.
I don't mean to brag.
I don't care, but I want you to know: double-vat booster flu shot.
And I'm going to be honest, I have the shingle shot too.
And I still get my period.
What?
Yes!
Jesus loves me the most.
Seriously.
So nice.
So nice.
And that laughter, no, it was not part of her act.
She fractured her skull.
She fell backwards at that very moment and cracked her skull open.
Serious injury, by all accounts.
But what you saw there and the timing of it is just, it's one of those things that you really can't make up.
Because, you know, she sits there trumpeting all the talking points as she should, right?
Any good left-wing entertainer is going to trumpet those same points.
And then she collapses.
Just like the media's narrative, just like the regime's narrative around masking, around vaccines.
And I want to get to something that I think is pretty telling, okay?
You've got pieces in the Washington Post.
You've got their editorial board saying what the Omicron COVID wave taught us.
Open everything from the Atlantic.
You've got Dr. Wen from CNN.
She's writing op-eds in the Washington Post saying, avoid all extremes.
So let me get this straight.
We have the very same people that have been jamming extremes down our throats for the last two years, telling us to mask our kids, telling us to vax our kids, which are still stuck on it.
I'm going to get to that in a little bit.
Telling us that even at your home, if you're with unvaccinated people, you have to mask up.
We have the DHS, and I'm going to get into this story in a little bit in more detail.
The DHS issuing a terror bulletin this week saying that their number one concern are individuals spreading election misinformation and COVID misinformation.
So that's, yes, that's right.
The DHS is now targeting Americans, and their top priority is not the CCP.
It's not Al-Qaeda.
It's not ISIS.
It's you, regular Americans, that believe that there were serious irregularities in the election or that you believe that the regime's narrative about COVID and vaccinations were politicized.
You are the top threat, according to the DHS.
And so we have these same charlatans, these same crooks, these same con men and women now coming out when the science has changed, when the science has not changed, folks, the narrative has changed.
The polling has changed.
The political realities staring them down in November have changed.
And they have the gall to come out and write in the Washington Post that it's time to avoid all extremes when it comes to this next wave.
Well, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Dr. Wen, to the Washington Post editorial board, even to the Atlantic, which says it's time to end all COVID restrictions.
Open everything, says the Atlantic.
The bad news is this, is that we're not going to forget.
We're not going to just let this one go by.
You've stolen two years of the American life.
You've stolen two years of our children's lives.
And in places like Los Angeles and New York City, you're still doing it.
Eric Adams wants the mass mandates for children to continue on, even while other blue states are lifting them.
The UK has moved up its lifting of restrictions by a week.
So they are going to lift all restrictions by the end of February.
And just breaking last night, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Quebec, and Prince Edward Island all announced plans to lift COVID-19 restrictions, saying it will increasingly be up to citizens to assess the risk they face from the virus.
That's according to the Canadian press.
What you are seeing is the people rising up, the rising up of the citizen, saying we're not going to take it anymore.
And God bless our trucker friends to the north.
They were the catalyst for a lot of this sudden change of science.
But we aren't going to forget.
We're going to name names.
And we are going to keep a list of folks that have steered us so terribly wrong, that have damaged the American way of life, that have caused inflation to spiral out of control, that have caused our supply chains to be backed up, that have hurt and harmed our children.
And we won't forget, and we want accountability.
And that is the message to the American elite and ruling class that have been so, so horribly wrong.
How many years have I been telling you about Relief Factor?
Producer Andrew's right here doing an Iron Man thanks to Relief Factor.
And truth is, I know there are millions of people.
In fact, some say over 100 million people struggling with some kind of pain, maybe from exercise or just getting older.
That can do it, getting older, which is why I'm so impressed with the people at relieffactor.com.
They are on a mission.
You rarely see this kind of focus and commitment.
They recently shared with me that they are doubling down and want to literally double their total number of happy customers in the next year.
And I believe they'll do it.
So here's the deal.
If you're struggling with back pain, neck pain, shoulder, hip, or knee pain, even general muscle aches and pain, then I'm suggesting you order their three-week quick start, still discounted, only $19.95.

You should order the three-week quick start too.

I think it possibly could.

That's relieffactor.com.
Check it out right now.
Now, is this little breath of sanity something to celebrate and let it all just go away and say, hey, you know, let's let bygones be bygones.
Let's move on.
States like California, New York, Oregon, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, all lifting some sort of mask mandate.
You've also got Saskatchewan, Alberta, Quebec lifting COVID restrictions.
You've got the UK moving up its lifting of COVID restrictions.
Now, some of that certainly is tied to Boris Johnson's political controversies regarding even just today, newly dropped pictures from The Guardian showing him partying during Christmas during the height of the COVID season, which, I mean, it's just further proof that politicians are human beings, folks.
I don't fault the man for partying during Christmas.
Steve Kirsch, he runs a great sub stack.
You should check it out.
Something that we often will reference.
And he had a great article, The 12 Spreaders of Disinformation.
He calls it my disinformation dozen list.
And he lists the top 12 people that you need to remember as the country returns to some sort of sanity because they led us down a path of destruction.
I think a level of destruction that we will probably not fully realize for a generation.
His first on the list, President Joe Biden.
I think that's fitting.
The regime starts at the top.
At least he's the figurehead.
We're not sure how much he's actually in charge of these days.
Maybe it's Ron Klein and Joe Joe Joe Biden.
Told you you might be able to have a nice 4th of July if you get the vaccine.
He bullied.
He's scared.
He continues to erode public trust by failing to look at actual science, failing to speak to dissident scientists.
I could go on and on.
Number two, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky.
News story out today.
She is refusing to update the CDC guidance on masking, even as states do so.
She's been a disaster.
Tony Fauci, number three, arguably could be number one or number two.
Spread disinformation about the sources of the virus, lied about funding it, continues to do so when questioned by Senator Rand Paul, and failed to properly promote early treatments.
Four, U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, also another one of those science has changed, guys.
Did nothing about effective early treatment protocols.
Compounded the air by labeling people trying to spread life-saving information as disinformation spreaders.
Bill Gates funded the misinformation campaign and the fact checkers.
Amen to that.
FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock, she's in charge of the FDA.
They approved vaccines for little kids that are at the lowest risk.
By the way, polling on that is really interesting.
And I want to get into that a little bit later.
It's like suburban moms are starting to revolt against the regime.
Number seven, COVID-19 guidelines.
Chairman Cliff Lane discredited every single COVID early treatment, including fluvoxamine, which has a 12 times reduction in fatalities.
A lot of these people completely ignored early treatment.
I think you'll see a trend there.
Tom Shimma Bukuro, not somebody that we've mentioned on the show, but I'm glad to see him here.
Never mentioned VARES URF, which underplayed the dangers of the vaccine.
Deliberately misled people about causality and VARES by claiming you can't determine causality.
John Su, CDC, VARES expert.
See Tom Shimma Bukuro.
By the way, the VARES thing is a total crock, folks.
It is very hard to file a VARES report after somebody's been vaccinated.
It's very hard on purpose.
And it's mostly doctors doing it.
And there's a reason they're trying to discredit.
Stephen A. Anderson, the top vaccine safety official at the FDA, deliberately ignored all the VARES and DMED safety signals.
Gavin Newsom at number 11, and Dr. Richard Planned, California State Senator, who tried to remove all loopholes and personal exemptions from the COVID vaccine school vaccination.
An utter sicko, if you ask me.

I'm really excited about this.
I get to interview one of the rising stars.
I mean, in fact, she's already risen.
She's already a big deal.
Libby Emmons from the Postmillennial.
She is a Manhattanite.
If you go back far enough in her background, she's a theater nerd.
And I love that about her.
She's been majorly red-pilled and she sees the world from a completely unique vantage point.
And I'm so excited to talk to her.
Libby Emmons, without further ado, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
Thanks, Andrew.
Glad to be here.
Yeah.
Thank you so much.
Okay.
So you are a Manhattanite.
You are a lover of the Big Apple.
Unbelievably, you're still there given everything that's happened.
You have a son.
I don't mean to make it personal, but I mean, obviously, everything that's been happening in the news with mask mandates with the schools, Hochell, Eric Adams, I want the update.
What's going on right now with masking, COVID restrictions, vaccines in New York City?
Okay.
Yeah, I'm in Brooklyn.
I used to live in Manhattan, but I've made the jump across the river with so many other people.
So what's going on?
We have a new mayor who has decided to uphold the vaccine requirements that the old mayor put in place.
So there's still these rules where you can't go to restaurants or movie theaters or Broadway theaters or so many other places without showing your vaccine card.
New York is a cultural place.
It's a cultural capital.
So these vaccine mandates essentially lock people out of the cultural life of the city, which is especially damaging, I think, for kids.
And kids are locked out as well.
Anyone over the age of five is required to have this vaccine man, this vaccine passport.
You know, you have to like show your thing.
There are even some bars that I know of.
One of my favorites, where I will never be going again, that is now requiring you to have the app.
There's like this Excelsior app that Governor Cuomo created back when he was the governor before he was run out of office.
And you have to show your medical status via an app.
Well, so that's, I've actually got a question on that.
Just practical living life in New York City.
How many places are app-based where they're, I mean, it's actually scanning a database versus a piece of paper.
I don't want to encourage any lawlessness here, civil disobedience, or good trouble, or whatever the left likes to call it.
But I mean, what's the difference?
I mean, what's the breakdown?
You go to your average movie theater, for example.
Is it a pass?
Is it a piece of paper?
Is it?
So I have a CDC card that just the one that I got when I got vaccinated originally.
It has two little shots listed on it.
Right.
My son doesn't have any of those and he doesn't have a card.
So since the mandate was put into effect, I haven't actually tried to go to very many places other than restaurants that I already know with my son.
Instead, we drive over to Jersey.
I live in South Brooklyn.
It's easy to get across the bridge, cross Staten Island.
And we went to Dave and Buster's last weekend.
We had a great time.
That is a terrible indictment of the city of New York that New Yorkers are fleeing to Jersey, people.
I mean, have some pride.
For goodness sakes.
Eric Adams, wake up.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry to report this news, but this is just the facts.
Okay.
So the governor came out breaking this morning, right?
Or was it last night, one or the other?
Oh, she said she's going to make an announcement.
You know, they do these pre-things.
Oh, well, so I'm seeing across the news that it's that she's going to lift the mask mandate statewide.
Now, Eric Adams has also said, though, that he's going to keep it.
And he's also encouraging to keep it for schools.
Now, we're seeing in blue states, California, Oregon, Connecticut, New Jersey, just to the south of you.
I think Governor Murphy saw his political future flash before his eyes in November.
And I think maybe he's reacting.
I'm not sure.
But you're seeing blue states now join the red states in lifting these masks.
Uh mandates California.
I mean, i'm blown away.
I'm I live in California and I can't believe what i'm seeing now.
Los Angeles, like California, is maintaining uh, its mask mandates and we don't uh have any clarity yet on when those might be lifted.
Um what, what is that dynamic between lifting it on the state and and New York City?
Are we seeing any clues that it's going to?
We're going to see relief for the city of New York soon, or students?
Um, i'm not sure.
I haven't seen anything from Adams so far this week other than his plan to implement vegan school lunches on fridays.
I wanted to ask you about this day.
You know yeah, please send me fridays.
But um yeah, we haven't seen anything from Adams about the mask mandates in the city, but we did see governor Hochle who, I will point out, is unelected.
Uh, she's running for governor now.
She took over after Cuomo was forced out.
Um, but she has said that this lifting of mask mandates will not include school children, that the uh order for schools is set to expire february 21st, I believe, which is right before our february break and she said that she'll make decisions about what happens to school children after that.
Of course, that's absurd, because we know the CDC has pointed out, even Fauci has pointed out that children are at a far less substantial risk for covid.
There have been very small number of deaths in that age group.
Um, and these kids are being forced to sit with masks on six hours a day, through music class, you know, through pe class, through everything you know, even outside.
Yeah well, and it's, it's child abuse.
It frankly is, I mean, the.
There's been numerous studies uh, numerous op-eds to the pages of the Washington.
Uh, the WALL Street Journal has been excellent on this.
Um, talking about the developmental challenge that uh children face when they've been uh, masked at such an early age.
Uh, anything from like articulating simple words.
I mean, it's so important for children to see the way the mouth moves and the way that we communicate with one another.
Um, so I do want to stop on this.
This, this plant-based.
Uh.
I think we have that clip guys, if you can, if you could pull it up.
Uh, Eric Adams now encouraging.
He wants people to be like plant-based.
Uh, what is his point?
And why does your son now want to bring his own lunch to school on friday?
He likes cheese on his sandwiches right, the child abuse goes further still here, folks?
No listen, i'm.
You know, Libby and I to all all disclosure texting about this.
We're both for eating uh, a healthier diet, I mean, it's not that it's, but does not New York have more pressing matters before the mayor than vegan lunches on Fridays.
I mean, the crime is skyrocketing.
The subways are a disaster.
I mean, what's going on here?
Yeah, so this sort of harkens back to the glory days of Mayor Michael Bloomberg's leadership in the city when he instituted a tax on sodas.
And he was very pro-Nanny State.
And I think Eric Adams must have some elements of that as well.
He appears to be rather fit.
He's a former cop.
And now he just wants to make sure that everyone eliminates meat from their diets, I guess.
Also, Bill de Blasio, before he left, put a ban on gas stoves, which I think is really peculiar and unpleasant.
Have you ever cooked on an electric stove?
Have you ever made anything?
No, they're doing the same thing in California.
No, they hate it so much.
Let's play.
Yeah, let's play.
Of course, of course.
Let's play this clip, Cut 50 of New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
I've got to get New Yorkers to eat a plant-based centered life, I guess.
I eat a plant-based centered life.
Some people want to call me vegan.
Vegans eat Oreos and they drink Coca-Cola.
I don't.
I eat a plant-based centered life.
That is my question to those who are following me around in restaurants, wondering what I'm ordering.
Listen, I'm not doing that.
That's noise to me.
I got to get New Yorkers to eat a plant-based scented life.
I don't know why you have to eat the whole life.
I think his grammar is questionable there.
I just want to point that out.
But I mean, he looked more passionate about that than talking about crime, talking about backing his police officers in the streets, which has been a, as you well know, an incredible saga for the police force recently with those incredible images of them coming out in support of their fallen comrades.
And I just, I find it very surprising.
How are New Yorkers responding to this?
Are New Yorkers still giving Eric Adams the benefit of the doubt?
Is they still looking at this as maybe a return to some sort of normalcy after de Blasio?
Or are they turning on him yet?
I don't think anybody's turning on Adams just yet.
I do think that it was really horrifying seeing two of our police officers murdered just recently.
And there was, as you mentioned, that incredible funeral procession basically down the street in Manhattan in support of those officers.
At the time, after those men were murdered, the president came to New York to talk about it and to try and discuss problems of crime.
And he really just came out for more gun control.
And it seems crazy to me that Americans who own their guns legally are consistently getting more and more restrictions on their rights to own weapons while career criminals are able to access guns with absolutely no issue at all.
And then they use those guns to kill our police officers who are supposed to keep us safe.
I do think that there's a big problem with crime in the city.
I think it's been a lot more visible.
I think the subways are definitely less safe.
You even had Adams saying himself that he didn't think that the subways were safe.
He, on his very first day in office, witnessed an assault right outside the station.
Yeah.

Libby, are you moving to Florida soon?
No, no.
You're sticking it.
You're sticking it up.
There's a, I can't, I'm not a Florida.
I like Florida fine.
I like it for vacation.
Wouldn't want to live there.
Well, I told you, you know, I started this when I was introducing you as a theater, kind of a theater nerd at heart.
And I actually love that about you.
I think it's completely a wonderful addition to the conservative landscape.
We need more people.
You know, I would have probably done theater or something as a kid.
I just, you know, my conservative parents didn't even think of it as an option, which, you know, probably fine that I ended up playing baseball and football and things like that.
Nevertheless, let's move on.
I want to talk about Trudeau in Canada.
So he's now on record saying that he wants to stay focused on mandates to avoid further mandates.
CUT 79.
I think one of the things we all understand is just how frustrated everyone is.
We're all frustrated.
We're all sick and tired of restrictions, of mandates, of having to make sacrifices of not being able to do the things we love.
It's been two years and it's really, really tiring for all of us.
This government has been focused every step of the way on following the best science, following the best public health advice to keep as many people safe as possible.
And quite frankly, it's worked.
We've seen the curves lower in Canada than elsewhere.
We've seen lower death rates.
We've seen quicker economic recovery because Canadians stepped up because Canadians got vaccinated.
All right.
I can understand frustrations with mandates, but mandates are the way to avoid further restrictions or having to be restricted as people get vaccinated.
That's kind of things have gotten.
Yeah, I can only handle so much.
I was going to make some bad joke about speaking of theater nerds with Trudeau, but I don't know what his theater background is.
Anyways, a lot of mass theater, anyway.
Yeah, that's a lot of COVID theater, a lot of hygiene theater, as we like to call it.
Do you have the update on what's going on with the in Ottawa?
Well, actually, a lot of the provinces are lifting restrictions.
Are the truckers winning, Libby?
You know, I think that in a lot of ways, the truckers are winning.
Saskatchewan, Alberta lifted their mandates.
Quebec for well, Quebec, I think, is sort of on track too.
They set a date.
I think the date is March in there, like March 15th, something like that.
Don't quote me on that, but I'm pretty sure that they are phasing, but they have not lifted.
The truckers, though, have achieved some real global support.
They've achieved support in Norway.
I believe there's actually an Australian convoy that's going along.
They've received support from American truckers.
They've received support from tow truck drivers who, as a group, have substantially refused to come in and tow these trucks out of there.
They definitely have, I think, a lot of cultural support, but it's these leaders who are still so down on them.
We actually have a reporter out in Ottawa.
She's been there for a while.
I think she's going to stay the week.
And she's been covering this.
She's been talking to the organizers and she's been talking to truckers.
They're pretty entrenched.
They're going to stick it out.
Well, and there was this incredible clip.
Yeah, there was an incredible clip of, you know, they've outlawed, you know, donating food, fuel to these truckers.
And there's an incredible clip of just Canadians streaming with jerry cans full of fuel to these truckers.
And now we've seen this crisis.
You know, it's blocking the main road between Canada and I believe Detroit.
Yeah.
Is there Ontario?
Yes, the Ambassador Bridge, I believe, is what it's called.
I think it's 25% of all goods and cross at that at that bridge.
Yeah, it's incredible.
We've had Viva Fry on the show.
We've had Ezra Levant from Rebel News talking about some of their first-hand reporting on the show this week.
It's been incredible.
The post-millennial, everybody, is an absolute must read.
