The Cost of Cheap Money 00:10:13
What is inflation?
Inflation, as described by people that actually know what they're talking about, is when prices go up and productivity stays the same or goes down.
The simple definition is when there is sustained upward movement in the overall price level of goods and services in the economy.
Holding all else constant, this corresponds in the most basic way with a loss of purchasing power for regular and working people.
Now, inflation does benefit some people.
If you have massive debt burdens or you have borrowed a significant amount of money, inflation helps you because then all of a sudden there's more dollar bills.
The debt does not change.
So if you're $100,000 in debt, that stays constant.
But all of a sudden, if there's more dollar bills out there, then you are able to use those new dollar bills to pay off an old debt because it was 8% or 10% or 12% more valuable the prior year before.
Now, inflation is a tax on the middle class.
We on this program did repeated podcasts, did repeated broadcasts warning about how Washington, D.C.'s addiction to multi-trillion dollar spending bills, while shutting down the entire economy immorally and unconstitutionally, will result in unexpected and chaotic price increases.
We have seen this over the last six months, but now all of a sudden we're seeing something even more dramatic.
We are seeing a slowdown of economic activity.
People are hitting the breaks and the prices are going up.
We have made the argument here in this program that many Democrats want inflation.
Inflation helps the corporate class.
It allows them to pay off their debts.
Did you know that U.S. corporations expanded their balance sheets by borrowing $600 billion in the last year?
They knew that interest rates will never get this low again.
And so everyday companies, and especially the Fortune 100 companies, they went on a borrowing spree.
They borrowed more money than they have in recent memory because they knew that all of a sudden, if inflation is going to kick in, if inflation is going to occur, you want to have as much debt as you possibly can manage or almost more than you can manage because then the 8% inflation rate a year or the 6% inflation rate a year will actually minimize the debt burden you have.
You might as well live it up while you can.
Rich people do very well when inflation comes.
If you own physical assets, land, gold, silver, or you were able to move money quickly, especially liquid, you'll do fine in the midst of inflation.
The people that inflation hurts the most are young people, students, and middle-class workers.
In fact, it makes you more dependent on the government.
Inflation is a big government scheme to try and expand the social welfare state.
Now, in an unexpected turn of events, not unexpected for us because we have also been following this very closely, the Biden regime's entire legislative agenda in Washington, D.C. has been put into turmoil.
Senator Joe Manchin from West Virginia, he's actually doing what a United States Senator should be doing.
He's representing his state.
He's not representing Chuck Schumer.
He's not representing Joe Biden.
And let me be very clear.
I disagree with Joe Manchin on plenty.
I think he can kind of be a swarmy, slimy, transactional D.C. politician.
But I actually think deep down he understands that West Virginia has become a deeply conservative state.
And he knows that if he continues to pass these multi-trillion dollar spending bills, it's everyday people in West Virginia that are going to be crushed.
West Virginia is losing population, one of the few states that is.
West Virginia has already been under attack by the federal regulatory agencies of the EPA and the environmental green groups that have crushed coal development all across West Virginia.
Joe Manchin knows this.
And therefore, Joe Manchin is pushing pause.
He's calling timeout on what the Democrats are trying to do, which is pass a $3.5 trillion spending bill alongside a debt limit increase alongside a $1.2 trillion infrastructure package.
Now, Joe Biden and Jen Psaki and others have said that this $3.5 trillion bill costs nothing.
It adds zero dollars to the national debt.
That this is a free bill.
Now, if that was the case, then why is it you have to raise the debt ceiling then?
If it doesn't cost anything, then why do you have to raise the debt ceiling to keep on spending money?
Well, Joe Manchin is now speaking out against the crisis of inflation.
Finally, we are seeing somebody in the Democrat Party start to brush off a simple economic textbook and realize that the addiction to cheap money thanks to the Federal Reserve and the unconstitutional way that we actually fund our government and the oligarchy of the monetary regime that we have been living under, yeah, it's actually hurting normal people.
Rich people are going to be just fine.
Corporations will find a way to navigate this.
But for the carpenter in Wheeling, West Virginia, earning $51,000 a year with two kids, inflation will crush him.
And Democrats know this.
Democrats, except Joe Manchin, actually want this because they say that's a perfect opportunity for that once self-reliant carpenter who works with his hands to now get an extra government check.
That makes a perfect potential Democrat voter.
It makes someone who is more subservient, more obedient.
You see, self-reliance, the spirit of producing for oneself, is at direct odds with everything the dominant Democratic regime wants to see for your family and for the country.
Play Cut 100.
The reason I asked for a pause, I'm still concerned about inflation.
I'm still concerned.
Right now, the dollar store, and if you saw that today, breaking news on that, the dollar store is not going to be the dollar anymore.
It's going to be $1.25, $1.50.
Not an awful lot of people in West Virginia that shop at the dollar stores.
That's an increase, a lot.
See, Joe Manchin is saying that, look, my constituents in West Virginia are seeing rising prices.
This is not good.
And yes, that breaking news did come.
I'm not a big fan of the dollar store because basically it's a Chinese Communist Party dumping operation of cheap products.
But Joe Manchin is right.
That now the dollar store is no longer the dollar store.
It's $125 or $150.
They can't even stay at $1 and stay profitable.
They have to increase their prices.
And despite all of this, Democrats outside of Manchin and Cinema seem intent on spending $4.7 trillion and raising the debt limit.
The question is, why?
Well, their motivations aside, their entire legislative agenda, everything they want to do, is on the verge of collapse.
And Joe Biden is less popular than ever before.
And it's very obvious that the game plan is going to try to remove Joe Biden.
62% of voters in Iowa disapprove of Joe Biden.
61% in Texas disapprove.
53% in Michigan disapprove.
53% in Florida disapprove of Joe Biden.
53% in Georgia.
51% in Virginia.
And 51% in Minnesota disapprove of Joe Biden.
But Joe Manchin is doing what the Constitution actually was designed to do, which is represent his voters and his constituents.
This is a moment of truth right now for the Democrats and for the kingdom of Washington, D.C.
And I'm pleased to say that they are in a spiral of chaos right now.
And they're not sure what to do.
Hey, everybody.
If you're paying attention, you know we're going to face some tough times.
I'm not saying run and hide, far from it.
But I am saying you should prepare for food shortages in the very near future.
I am a big prepper, and you should be too.
The best way to be able to be prepared for what's happening, and there might be some bad things happening very soon, is this.

Charlie, please, please, please, Joe Manchin is going to vote for this $3.5 trillion.
He will cave in.
So will Kyrsten Cinema.
They can't help themselves.
They are Democrats.
You wait.
I'm not wrong.
Both will cave in and vote for the $3.5 trillion budget.
Checks and Balances in Action 00:03:40
You might be right, but I will say they have been, Kirsten Cinema in particular, unusually obtuse about this entire thing.
I want to read this tweet, this exchange from Kirsten Cinema yesterday, who, by the way, is more conservative than John McCain.
Drives them crazy when I say that because it's true.
And so there was this exchange yesterday of Kirsten Cinema with a reporter where Kirsten Cinema was asked by one of these reporters.
They say, so, Senator Cinema, what do you say to progressives who are frustrated that they don't know where you are?
Kirsten Cinema said, I'm in the Senate.
He said, well, there are progressives in the Senate that are also frustrated they don't know where you are either.
She said, I'm clearly right in front of the elevator, just trolling them right to their face.
Now, you might be right.
Maybe we're all being played for a game and Manchin and Cinema are going to pull it underneath us.
Or maybe, just maybe, these two Democrats either want some sort of political future, Kirsten Cinema absolutely does, or they have just a small, an inch, a smidgen of concern for their constituents, not for the fundamental transformation of the nation.
Now, we must understand that the goal of these massive spending packages is to remake man himself.
Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Lyndon Baines Johnson, they spoke extensively, whether it be FDR's second Bill of Rights speech, Lyndon Baines Johnson's Great Society speech, or Woodrow Wilson's repeated addresses about how man cannot attain their highest level of existence if they still have material wants, needs, or concerns.
You see, rooted in the progressive belief, this came post-Darwin, is that the founding fathers did not fully understand what it meant to be man.
I mean, come on, for example, the founding fathers didn't have TikTok, Twitter, airplanes, or Priuses.
How could the Founding Fathers possibly understand the full dynamic range or spectrum of what it means to be a human being?
Now, we as conservatives, we reject this.
And this really is the debate that's going on right now.
We as conservatives believe in the laws of nature and nature's God.
We believe in the natural law.
We believe that there are things that do not change.
Regardless of having TikTok and Twitter and airplanes and Priuses, we believe that massive deficit spending will lead to a nation gone to chaos.
We believe the rule of law needs to be a centerpiece for organizing society.
We believe that telling the truth and a properly good-souled individual is the way to live.
Now, Manchin and Cinema, they might be game for part of the social redefinition and reconstruction of the new man, which of course was a phrase that was used many times in the Soviet Union.
We are here to create the new man.
Now, this is a Nietzschean idea.
He called this the overman or the Das Übermensch.
Now, Manchin and Cinema might be game for part of this, but they also have their own self-interests that they're looking out for.
This is the brilliance of checks and balances and separation of powers.
Now, mind you, there's plenty of problems with the legislative system as we have it now.
But Schumer and Pelosi are getting incredibly impatient with these two senators from red states or once red states.
Arizona is, I still think, a red state and will show itself as such in 2022.
Supporting American Ranchers 00:03:52
West Virginia is now one of the most conservative states in the country where Donald Trump won every single county in the state of West Virginia.
Let me say that again.
He won every single county in the state of West Virginia.
And they're asking themselves, are we U.S. senators of Chuck Schumer?
Are we U.S. senators of Nancy Pelosi?
Are we U.S. senators of Joe Biden?
Or are we U.S. senators of the individual states?
You see, until we passed the 17th Amendment, which is one of the most destructive and disastrous amendments ever passed in the history of the country, which got rid of the state legislature appointing of senators, and we got into the populist movement, which I do generally support of direct election of senators, senators became more interested in public opinion nationally than what their states actually worried about.
But what I'm hearing from Manchin, and by the way, I am perfectly prepared to be let down and disappointed.
I am bracing for impact for the treachery, the deceit, the backroom deals.
I'm not trying to get your hopes up.
What I am saying is that what I'm seeing in front of me is a stalled, delayed, and almost dead on arrival legislative package that does not seem that it's going to proceed in its current form anytime soon.
Hey, everybody, I want you to imagine over 100,000 Americans losing their jobs.
Well, you could stop imagining because it's reality, everybody.
Since 2015, over 100,000 independent farms and ranches in the United States have shut down.
Why?
Because foreign meat is stealing their business and robbing you of the quality and flavor you deserve.
China has destroyed the American economy through dumping products, and they've also waged war on American ranchers.
It's time to stick it to China, and that's what Good Ranchers does so well.
They exist to support local American farms that help you make great American meals.
Together, they want to restore the American ranch and your meals to the former glory.
Get the beef, chicken, and seafood that cannot be imported or matched at goodranchers.com.
Did you know that the product of USA TAG has been stolen by foreign countries?
They process their meat here and then label it like it came from America fraudulently because of these labeling laws that favor foreign imported meat.
Over 100,000 independent American farms and ranches have closed since 2015.
Good Ranchers is here to put America first at the dinner table and the ranchers that have worked to raise the meat we eat.
They send you a box.
Everyone listening to this needs to eat and feed their family.
And if you want to support our program, if you like the Charlie Kirk show, you can kill two birds, one stone.
Buy really good meat and get food because you have to eat anyway, and support our program at goodranchers.com/slash Charlie right now and save $20 off, or better yet, subscribe and save the box of Mount Watering meats.
I'm telling you, they send us these meats, and there is a fight over who gets the perfectly marbled filet mignon or the marinated chicken.
It is a beautiful sight when the box of meats arrive at our office.
Our mouths are watering, the children begin singing, everything just seems a little bit lighter and brighter.
In fact, the day gets better when the Good Ranchers box arrives because you know, with the beautiful Phoenix weather, you can watch some college football, throw a couple steaks on the grill, turn up the volume, and enjoy being an American because you're eating American meat, not Chinese meat, not Argentinian meat, not Vietnam meat, Vietnamese meat, not Iranian meat, not Egyptian meat, but instead American meat.
So save on each box of Mount Watering American meats.
Go to goodranchers.com/slash Charlie.
They've been amazing partners.
I'm such a big believer in this company.

Saving the Country Together 00:14:43
As you guys know, how hard we are working to save the country.
Goodranchers.com/slash Charlie.
There is drama and intrigue happening right now on Capitol Hill where the Democrats are planning to spend $4.7 trillion quickly.
You would think when a nation is going through so many separate points of crisis that this would be a good time to slow down a little bit.
It's kind of like a cooling off period.
Find out what's really going on.
What are our priorities?
Who's in charge?
Do we really want to be spending this money?
What are we spending money on?
Do we want to keep the country together?
The Democrats want nothing for that.
They are more concerned to bulldoze and capture and take advantage of this moment for fundamental transformation of the American country and nation.
They don't care about public approval ratings.
They certainly don't care about the Constitution.
Separation of powers, consent of the governed, independent judiciary.
They will not be stopped as they focus on their socialist locomotive agenda to run you over.
Panama's government has warned that thousands of more illegals are coming to the border.
Estimates are more than 60,000 people are coming to the U.S.-Mexico border.
Of course, as we well know, Haitians have been released into the interior of the United States and they will most likely never leave.
These are just more future voters for the Democrats as they look at this.
Borders are completely wide open.
So you would think that leaders would say, hold on a second, let's just try to solve the problems in the best interest of the country.
And here's one of the biggest problems in America right now.
If you feel like you're losing America, here's one of the biggest problems.
Do you know what it is?
What we as conservatives consider a problem, the other side considers a blessing.
That's a big problem.
We consider open borders in 65,000 Panama people, Panamanians, that's probably the rest were Panamanians, coming into America as a detriment and as a problem, an issue.
It's bad for sovereignty.
It could be bad for wages.
It could be bad for crime, whatever.
That's not a good thing.
The other side looks at it as a great thing.
We used to, in our country, disagree about solutions.
We used to disagree about the best way to solve problems.
Oh, Charlie, let's not build the wall.
Let's have some sort of reconnaissance thing.
Okay, that's silly, but whatever.
Now we cannot even agree with the Democrat regime on what the actual problem is.
They think inflation is wonderful.
They think getting people on government assistance is admirable and good.
Now, many of you know that we are no friends of many Republican senators.
Now, there are some phenomenal ones out there, Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Josh Hawley, Senator Rand Paul, just to name a few.
But I have been, I've been pleased to see how Senate Republicans have been holding the line on this con job that is being cooked up by Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi.
In COTE 106, Senator Barrasso from Wyoming, who I know, I wish he would fight harder on certain things, but he's been very good on this.
You know, we complain quite often, where is the opposition party?
I will say, thankfully, not one Republican is playing ball with any of this nonsense or this garbage.
I will say, though, too many of them are playing ball with the infrastructure package.
And their reasoning is like, well, since we agreed with the infrastructure package, then it puts pressure on the reconciliation bill.
I don't buy that for a second, but let's put that aside.
Let's talk favorably and positively.
The entire Republican caucus, including even Mitt Romney and Susan Collins, are not playing ball with this.
It's dead on arrival.
This is an extraordinary video of Senator Barrasso holding up the actual legislative text of what the Democrats are trying to pass.
At least a foot and a half or two feet, 2,500 pages, $3.5 trillion, just to show you the enormity of what they are trying to get passed.
Play cut 106.
This is their bill.
2,500 pages.
If you take a look at $3.5 trillion price tag and you do the math, that's $1,400,000,000 for every page of this bill.
And they want to pass it this week.
How many Democrats do you think have read this?
Think Nancy Pelosi's read it?
Think Chuck Schumer's read it?
Do you think Joe Biden, who is desperately begging Democrats to pass it?
Do you think he's read it?
Do you think he knows what's in it?
Now, just so you know, the size of that monstrosity, it's bigger than some human beings.
It is at least two to three feet tall.
Now, I just want to make sure that we're being very clear about this.
That the reason why the Democrats are trying to spend as much money as they possibly can on every program imaginable is not because they actually want to help people.
They believe that the state can actually be a critical ingredient or instrument in fundamental transformation of the human being itself.
That human beings can reach a higher plane of existence if they are free from material wants, needs, and desires.
John Dewey, who is the founder of American public education, educated at Johns Hopkins University, had a famous quote, and I'm paraphrasing where he said that true freedom will be the freedom from necessity.
That it's not freedom to speak, freedom to create, freedom to flourish, freedom to marry, freedom to have children, freedom to worship your creator.
He called those basically, I don't want to put words in his mouth, but he thought he was indifferent towards that.
Instead, the progressive project that started with Woodrow Wilson was this belief system that freedom meant that you had nothing that you wanted in the physical or material world.
Lyndon Baines Johnson was the main president who really embraced this, specifically when it came to health care.
The Democrats believe this.
They want to try to get us closer to what they believe is a utopian, technocratic, scientifically driven society.
This should terrify every single person listening to this.
And Joe Manchin has basically said this.
Joe Manchin has said he'll do a very basic spending bill, but he's not going to get into the mass social engineering project of the progressive statist regime.
Play tape.
Did you share that number with the president?
And has that 1.5?
And did that number go up?
Senator Sinema knows that.
My top line has not been.
My top line has been 1.5 because I believe in my heart that what we can do and what the needs we have right now and what we can afford to do without basically changing our whole society to an entitlement mentality.
Now, let me just first say, do you notice how intense the reporters are versus Joe Manchin versus Joe Biden?
Do you notice how direct the questions are?
They interrupt him.
They're on top of him.
Why?
Well, because they hate him.
Joe Biden is useful.
Joe Manchin is annoying and he's a threat.
We're going to keep getting into that, but I want to invite you to a very especial event for our friends at the Christian nonprofit legal defense organization, Alliance Defending Freedom.
Just go to charliekirk.com right now and click on the Alliance Defending Freedom Donate Now banner at the very top of the page.
I'm branding today as a big day, so I need at least three listeners to try to hop aboard and give some money if you can.
ADF is fighting for free speech, your constitutionally guaranteed freedoms, and especially battling efforts by some local and state governments to close churches during the pandemic.
Just listen to ADF Council Matt Bowman.
Play tape.
And these are churches that are following masks and CDC guidelines, but are just saying it is important for us as a congregation to come together and worship together.
We've been able to get over a dozen victories on behalf of churches, getting laws struck down, getting victories so that churches are able to meet together once again.
We are literally keeping the door open for the gospel in those circumstances.
ADF is fighting for us.
So let's open our hearts and our wallets.
And so let's go right now to charliekirk.com and click on the Alliance Defending Freedom banner or phone your gift to my special hotline 888-670-1599.
Again, that's 888-670-1599.
And thank you for supporting our friends at Alliance Defending Freedom.
Okay, I want to get to another piece of sound here that does tie to this.
Let's go to Cut 98, which is kind of a montage of exactly what we're living through right now, Cut 98.
Crisis after crisis.
The Democrats are in disarray without any question.
Whether it's the border, whether it's the incredibly messy, messy exit from Afghanistan, which was a debacle by any definition, or whether it's what's happening on the floor right now.
It's just constant sort of crisis.
But all that our Democratic colleagues have to show as a result of their partisan choice is a parade of failures for the American people.
We need to do better, and we can do better.
The country's in free fall, not just because of the Democrat regime, but it certainly doesn't help.
And you have to wonder what's the backup plan for these Democrats?
What are they going to go to if Joe Manchin holds the line?
He says, I don't want to see the country become one of a social welfare state.
Joe Manchin said out loud, he said, I have never been a liberal.
He certainly knows his state.
West Virginia is not a place where the word liberal resonates very much.
What the future holds for the Democrats is very questionable.
We're going to keep diving into that as America is in free fall.
Inflation, crime, tyranny, mandates.
The Democrats are acting like elections don't exist.
That's just so interesting to me.
They're enemies of democracy is what Joe Manchin and Kirsten Cinema are being called.
Now I know I really have respect for both of them.
Joe Manchin and Kirsten Cinema seem to be making life miserable for congressional Democrats.
For that, they should be applauded and they should be thanked.
Joy Behar explodes into one of her unhinged rants in between being realized that her co-hosts get test positive for the Fauci virus despite being fully vaccinated.
She says, you don't understand the enemies of democracy.
Come on.
What is this, not the New Jersey Housewife Show?
Cut 108.
And the Democrats have the numbers to make it happen.
But Manchin and Cinema are standing in their way, especially they call themselves Democrats, and they will be the rumation of this nation.
Those two.
I mean, come on.
I mean, they're not Democrats.
It's not like us.
All right, let's go to some good news.
Actually, that's good news.
Anytime that Joy Behar loses her mind.
So let's go to, okay, so last night was the congressional baseball game, and Republicans almost always lose.
Now, one of the reasons why Republicans always lose is because Democrats, they tend to be a younger party than Republicans, and so they just tend to have younger people play baseball.
Now, despite the fact that they had like a 14-year-old pitching, how old is John Ossif?
He's like 21 years old or something.
You never should have been a U.S. Senator yet, 34.
He looks like he's 19, just started shaving.
And so John Ossif was one of the pitchers last night.
Despite all of this, Republicans won and beat the Democrats now.
You might say, Charlie, who cares?
Well, when we win the congressional baseball game, last time we did was 2016, and we know how that ended.
By the way, John Ossif, he stole second base, just like he stole Georgia.
Play tape.
Arizona.
The 1-1 Stanton is hit, popped up to third.
Stubi's got it, and that's the ball game.
The Republicans win it 13-12 as they storm out of the first base side of the dugout and mob each other around the pitchers mound.
Now, maybe I'm just kind of out of the loop.
I don't remember the congressional baseball game being on Fox Sports 1 in years past.
Is that a new thing, Connor?
I saw it on Fox Sports One last night.
And part of it was kind of fun to see the people destroying your country, you know, pitch to each other.
I don't know.
I just, it made me actually like the Democrats less as I watched it.
I'll get into that a different time.
It's only two times in the last decade have we won the congressional baseball game.
Nancy Pelosi Lip Reading 00:01:56
One of my favorite parts, do we have the tape of Nancy Pelosi saying, yes, you understand?
You have to pass the tape of her just screaming into.
Has anyone got a professional lip reader on this video?
No, sir.
I've said that in the group chat.
I said, can we just get a lip reader?
So there's this video of Nancy Pelosi, and she's grasping her phone.
Do you notice how she holds her phone?
She holds it like she's reporting from some sort of a bunker in World War I, like a trench, holding it right up here, screaming into the phone.
Doesn't look like things are going well for her.
And there was all this other drama.
And I just want to say this.
Playing baseball is a very difficult sport.
I have a lot of respect for people that play baseball.
Greg Stubay, he hit a legitimate home run in a major league baseball park in the game, not in warm-up.
That deserves credit.
All right, here's Nancy Pelosi just going at it.
It was Rodney Davis at the top of the lineup.
Speaker, no doubt happy about that play, but she is known as a big sports fan.
And often, after dealing with a lot of really difficult reporter questions related to what's going on in now, I think, again, we got to get an expert lip reader because I want to know exactly what's going on there.
She does not look happy.
But despite all the things that are happening, at least Republicans won the congressional baseball game.
Listen, Joe Manchin, you better not vote for this or else you're going to end up with a dead horse in your bed.
You understand?
I'm Nancy Pelosi.
And I'm in charge.
Kirsten Cinema, who does she think she is?
