A 5 Ft. Pistol Takes on the Gun Grabbers and the Democrat Machine with Congresswoman Lauren Boebert

Charlie sits down with one of the youngest, most passionate congresswomen in the House of Representatives, Rep. Lauren Boebert from Colorado, who has a penchant for triggering the left and the Democrat political machine in Washington. The two discuss her unlikely rise to political office, her humble beginnings and her fight with the establishment. From taking on the gun grabbing lobby and the anti-fracking climate cult, to her efforts to keep Colorado free as it becomes increasingly blue, Rep. Boebert is exactly the type of "politician" they hate and will stop at nothing until they take her out. Support the show: http://www.charliekirk.com/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Tpusa.com slash SAS.
Lauren Bobert is here.
Buckle up everybody.
Here we go Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
I want you to know.
We are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
Charlie Kirk's running the White House.
Folks, I want to thank Charlie.
He's an incredible guy.
His spirit, his love of this country.
He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.
Turning Point, USA.
We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.
That's why we are here.
With the ever-increasing numbers of makes and models, it is now impossible to stock all the parts you need on a traditional chain storefront.
Why endure often pointless and seemingly intimidating questioning and wait while the counterman orders the parts on his computer or her computer, choosing the only brand his warehouse happens to carry?
You have computers with access to Rockauto.com at home and in your pocket.
One reason to repair and maintain your cars is to save money and that you can then use for other important things like mortgages or food.
Why choose to spend 30, 50 or 100 more?
Rockauto.com is a terrific company.
They've been long-term partners here on this program and this podcast.
Rockauto.com is a family business and they love their country, serving auto parts customers online for 20 years.
Go to Rockauto.com to shop for auto and body parts from hundreds of manufacturers.
Look, when I walk into an auto shop, they might as well speak Swahili.
I understand none of it, but Rockauto.com is easy, it's seamless, it's understandable.
So go to Rockauto.com and pick out all your parts and write Charlie, Charlie Kirk and the, how did you hear about us?
Maybe you need a new Johnson rod.
Maybe you need a new thing that I don't know anything about cars, so maybe you need that thing.
Then go to rockauto.com and type in Charlie Kirk to how you heard us.
Amazing selection, reliably low prices, great people, all the parts your car will ever need, rockauto.com.
Hey, everybody.
Welcome to this episode of the Charlie Kirk Show.
I'm excited because I'm here with a politician I respect, which I don't want to say is rare, but it's not common.
Securing Freedom with Good Ranchers 00:06:24
Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, thank you for joining our program.
Thank you so much, Charlie.
So you're one of the most press-savvy people I have seen in the Republican Party, which is something we've been missing.
You literally took a carve out of Kamala Harris and brought it to the board, which was hilarious.
But before we get into kind of how you navigate PR, which I think is great and how much Democrats hate you, which I really like, can you talk about your story?
Because you were just a mom with a gun store or something.
Yes.
Yeah, I kind of have some sort of an understanding.
And you just ran and won.
Yes.
Yes.
Tell us a story.
And I believe that's what the founding fathers intended.
They intended a citizen legislator, legislature.
And that's what we're starting to see.
We're starting to see more moms step up, more business owners step up.
So, Charlie, I was actually raised in a Democrat household.
My mom just believed the lie of the Democrats.
She believed that you need government to be successful.
And especially if you have children, you need those government handouts because that's how your kids are going to get fed.
That's how you're going to have a roof over your head and be able to go to the doctors.
But it put me standing in breadlines at 11 years old.
And now I'm starting to see a comeback with breadlines.
And I don't want that.
I've been there.
And at 11, I knew that that was not the American dream.
So we lived in a pretty rough area in Denver, Colorado when I was growing up.
And we moved to Rifle, Colorado, the western slope of Colorado.
And I started working at the local McDonald's.
And it was incredible.
It was the greatest thing because I was able to put my hand to something and create wealth.
And I was in charge of what happened.
So with that first paycheck came pride and empowerment.
And I saw that I could do a better job taking care of myself than government could.
So I took those same principles and applied them throughout my life.
I counseled women at the Garfield County Jail at our local jail and showed them that they didn't have to be dependent on government.
They didn't need to wait for those handouts, that their life wasn't over because they had made a mistake.
The American dream is still alive and well.
And I've always been an example of that.
And everything I've done is because of the possibilities that this country provides, the opportunities that are provided in this country.
And so I would go into the jail, minister to these women.
I would have the opportunity, Charlie, to personally introduce them to the God who can turn their shame into glory, to restore whatever their past looked like and lead and guide and launch them into a glorious future.
I was able to create jobs for them.
And those opportunities were much more powerful than a government program.
So I became a small business owner and opened my restaurant in Rifle.
And it was incredible watching people flourish and creating talent and creating jobs in our small town of 9,000 people.
And so we named it Shooter's Grill because we're in the only city in America named after a gun, Rifle.
But there was an altercation shortly after we opened where a man was beaten pretty badly and lost his life near my restaurant.
And so immediately the next morning, I wanted to know how to defend everyone.
I bought my first handgun and took advantage of Colorado's open carry laws.
And so now all of my waitresses and I, we all open carry in the restaurant.
That's terrific.
Yes, yes.
So I've always been an advocate for the Second Amendment, but I started developing just a passion for the Constitution after reading it and studying it.
And I fell in love with the American dream and the opportunities that are in this country.
And I want to make sure those are available for generations to come.
I'm a mom of four boys.
How old?
16, 13, 11, and 8.
You ran for office with teenagers.
Yes.
Yes, I did.
I did.
But their future, the concern I had for their future motivated me.
And I wanted to do something to secure our freedoms.
And this is me stepping up to do my part to serve my country.
Did you know that 80% of all grass-fed beef sold in the United States is imported from overseas?
It's staggering and it's a problem.
You need to buy meat made in America.
And that's why I get my meat from goodranchers.com.
So look, I talked to Good Ranchers on the phone.
I said, send me the box that you send our listeners.
And I could you not?
I got a box that you wouldn't believe.
This could feed the 101st airborne.
There is enough meat for July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's, and Tax Day.
And I know you need to eat a lot on Tax Day because that's not a good day.
And sometimes you got to eat.
But my friends, the Good Ranchers, they've traveled the entire United States and met with actual people, real farmers, not the corporate hacks.
Look, Good Ranchers, they love their country.
Unlike all these wokesters and they sell you this fake vegan meat made in a laboratory with Bill Gates and underwater or whatever he's doing.
This is real because their product is 100% American.
When you buy steak and chicken from good ranchers, not only are you getting amazing meat, but you're also supporting American farms.
In fact, producer Connor, I went back to go into the freezer and all the meat was gone.
It was gone.
I said, what did you do?
He said, it's goodranchers, goodranchers.com.
I had to eat it.
And he was right.
Check out the Family Fest bundle.
If you subscribe, you'll save 20% off with each purchase.
So here's how it works.
Imagine if you had like a dollar shave club for meat.
It's that simple.
You get the meat delivered to your door and you don't have to go grocery shopping, no more lines, no more mystery meat, none of that stuff.
So stop guessing.
Support your country.
Know where your meat comes from with goodranchers.com.
Support American farmers.
Go to goodranchers.com slash Charlie to get $20 off and free express shipping.
It's 100% American beef and it's goodranchers.com slash Charlie.
Ranchers of the Ness.
It's a safe and convenient way to shop.
You'll get a big box and you'll be happy.
I know a lot of you guys want to do cookouts this summer.
Maybe it's beef, maybe it's steak, maybe it's pork, maybe it's chicken, whatever it is.
Goodranchers with the nest.com slash Charlie.
Look, I have a, I'm going to guess, just a wild guess here.
All of you listening are going to have to eat at some point.
If you have to eat, you might as well buy from someone who helps the Charlie Kirk show.
So do that at goodranchers.com slash Charlie, goodranchers.com slash Charlie.
The Argument for Guns 00:02:19
So what led you to run?
You were worried and all this.
Walk us through the process because I first heard about you in Aspen.
This guy comes up to me.
He's like, you got to hear about Lowen Barber.
She's going to win us the Senate race and win us Colorado.
I was like, wow, she must be really amazing.
And he's like, yeah, she's going to win back this seat and rifle.
And so that was the first I heard of you.
And then I saw an advertisement or something.
I was like, oh, I like this.
Because it was real intensity.
It was not kind of consultant class garbage that we're force fed all the time.
Just walk through how you decided.
You know what?
Now I'm going to run.
Yes.
So I think it's kind of started with Beto O'Rourke.
So I've, like I said, I advocate for the Second Amendment, just running my mouth in my restaurant in my town and stomping my foot when Democrats start taking our rights away.
We have magazine limits in Colorado and all sorts of stuff, red flag laws and everything.
And so Beto O'Rourke slipped up from a presidential debate stage and he said, hell yes, we're going to take your guns.
And we've been told for years, nobody's taking your guns.
We just want gun control.
We just want gun legislation and sensible gun laws.
Nobody's digging your guns.
We slipped up.
He said, yeah, we're taking them.
And so he announced he was coming to Aurora, Colorado.
That's about three hours from Rifle.
And so I said, I'm not letting him come to my state, the city I was raised in, and pander to people without being confronted.
So I drove three hours to his presidential rally.
Never been to a campaign.
Where movie theater shooting was.
Yes, in Aurora.
Right.
And then we have Columbine there.
We have the Sim School shoot.
But he was, of course, he highlighted all of those tragedies.
But what he failed to mention was these victims were all defenseless.
These were all in gun-free zones.
And that is the whole purpose of the argument.
They were defenseless.
They didn't have a way to protect themselves.
There's even a story of one gentleman in the Aurora theater who was a concealed carry permit holder.
And the story is that his girlfriend asked him not to carry his gun that night.
And he wasn't able to protect anyone there.
So, I mean, it's, you know, just that in and of itself is, it speaks volumes.
And so I went down there and I grabbed that microphone with my Glock on my hip and I looked him in the eye and told him, hell no, you're not.
I didn't remember this.
Gun-Free Zones and Defenseless Victims 00:15:31
Yes.
So you weren't running before that.
No, I had no intention to.
Not at all.
No, I was really just frustrated.
I was frustrated with politicians.
I'm not a politician.
I know you called me one.
Well, you have to wear the label temporarily.
Okay.
But the fact you hate it makes me like you.
Yes.
Thank you.
Because every time I meet a politician, I have to go take a shower.
Right.
Yes.
Me too.
Except I don't have time to anymore.
But you're actually a citizen of our country that didn't have aspirations.
Like, oh, I have a super PAC.
You just showed up at an event and just told Robert Francis Aurora what?
Hell no.
You are not taking our guns.
I told him, look at me.
I am a five-foot-tall, 100-pound woman.
I cannot defend myself with a fist.
I have four boys and I need to be able to defend them and protect them.
And I told them how he would leave us defenseless.
Moms demand action.
They had their big group there.
Bloomberg from the Astro Turk organization.
Yes, terrible, terrible.
And so they were booing me and all of this.
But the Aurora Police Department were very happy that I spoke up.
And I wasn't expecting that.
But when I was leaving, you know, there was a lot of nods and thank yous and good shots.
So you went to the event.
Yes.
Did you have to like sign in?
No, it was outdoors.
It was, there was about 150 people there.
You know, presidential rally, I was great size, huh?
He should come to a turning point event.
Yes, exactly.
And so I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
And I really attribute that to the grace and favor of God.
I was positioned exactly where I needed to be.
You may have heard that I'm recently married.
Every married man knows that while it's the greatest gift, it's also a big change.
I'm joyfully adjusting all the habits I formed as a single man, all the way down to my sleep schedule.
One part of this married man's routine will remain exactly the same.
You want to know what it is?
Every night before going to bed, I still take two capsules of magnesium breakthrough by buy optimizers.
Don't get me wrong.
I'm not taking any old generic synthetic magnesium pills.
I only take magnesium breakthrough.
Why?
Well, simply put, there are seven unique forms of magnesium.
By leveraging all seven forms in each capsule, I'm able to experience magnesium's deep restorative sleep benefits.
If you're having trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, try magnesium in your nightly regimen and be amazed by how much healthier your sleep patterns become.
For an exclusive offer to the Charlie Kirk show listeners, go to magbreakthrough.com.
That's magbreakthrough.com forward slash Kirk.

Don't forget, Kirk10, to save on your order, or use the link in the description or pinned comment to get your discount.
So you gave the speech and you drove back and the video goes viral.
Yes.
And you don't even know what's going on.
Dana Lash retweeted it.
And so she was the one who started.
She was here last night.
She's incredible.
She's the best.
Yes, yes.
Love her.
But and I was like, oh my gosh, Dana Lash is like, and at first it was just audio.
Like people didn't have like the video of me.
You know, it's just audio.
This girl does this.
But anyway, that ended up going viral, 5 million views from NRA.
And I began to see that I can actually represent people and affect the situation.
You know, I run my mouth a lot and I can actually affect change by doing that.
And so I started to get involved just with petition signings in Colorado.
We had the National Popular Vote Compact petition.
We were trying to get that on the ballot to repeal the legislation.
Didn't it?
Yes.
I was surprised about that.
But I think there were some issues.
I think there's a lot of issues.
Because the polling reflected that it was unpopular.
But anyway, sorry.
We even have wolves now in Colorado because of so many failed things on the ballot last year.
But it's terrible.
They got rid of wolf hunting.
They're reintroducing wolves in Colorado.
What kind of stupid idea is that?
Thank you.
They know nothing about it.
Denver and Boulder voted them in.
And we all say, if you want wolves, put them in Denver.
Put them in Boulder.
They don't know what they do to ranchers.
No.
Are you allowed to kill them?
They're protected.
Oh, so you just allow your livestock to be murdered.
Yes.
You should be able to shoot wolves from helicopters.
Yes, from helicopters.
Specifically from helicopters.
Some people think I'm being like heartless.
Oh, there's like these are vicious animals.
Yes, no.
And they will destroy.
And our governor right now is praising the pups that are that are being.
You talk to any rancher, anyone that's in touch with the earth, not some vegan milk person from Boulder, they'll actually tell you that this is a menace.
Yes.
And the diseases.
Oh, it's terrible.
Yes.
They will take over an ecosystem in a month.
And by the way, they're so smart.
They'll cline up in trees.
You cannot, once they're released and they have more children, it's like 50 pups per family.
It's unbelievable.
Yes.
Well, it's also an attack on our energy industry.
Totally.
Wait, what do you mean?
Well, because if there's a wolf tin, then there can't be drilling within so many miles.
Well, this is the way that they're able to stop fracking.
Yes.
That's the real issue.
Absolutely.
Yes.
And I would love to talk to you about energy during this too, because I mean, that is a huge deal in Colorado.
But, you know, just getting involved, I ended up being the second largest signature gatherer for that petition.
And I wasn't trying to do anything great other than get it on the ballot so we could repeal it, save our electoral college votes, save our votes for president that our governor had just stolen and the state legislature just stolen from us.
And I started to listen to people.
I started to hear from people and they had the same complaints that I did.
And I decided it wasn't enough for me to sit at home and complain about what was going on.
I wanted to be a part of the solution.
And God really highlighted this seat to me.
And I guess I knew that it was the right thing when I knew it was too big for me to do alone.
Because this is something that I never imagined.
I never saw myself in government and politics.
I voted in presidential elections.
That's about it.
I love Donald Trump.
That was about it.
I don't like Governor Polis.
And so I primaried a five-term incumbent.
Republican.
A Republican.
Oh, that's awesome.
Yes.
And, you know, he was a nice guy, but unfortunately, he wasn't very conservative.
He would campaign as a conservative, but then get to DC and appease Democrats with his voting.
And so we hit the ground running and started reaching out to people.
I had $100,000 that I raised in the entire primary.
He had a million and I won by 10 points.
And you worked the district.
Yes, every inch of it.
So do you still own the restaurant?
Yes.
How's it going?
Shooters grill.
It's doing great.
The city of Rifle decided to tear up our street and do construction after we opened it 100% capacity.
Are they not in support of you?
I mean, says Rifle been taken over by Liberty?
No, no.
So, I mean, there's some folks in leadership that aren't that great, but Rifle is.
So tell me your district.
Do you have Aspen in your district?
I do.
That's hilarious.
Yes.
So you represent America's ruling class, at least in their part-time.
Yes.
Yes, I do.
That's a great way of putting it.
I have a special just point of disdain for people that live in certain parts of Aspen.
Aspen is what they want America to be, which is all the underlings and the people we don't respect.
They rent and they barely get by while we go live on Red Mountain and we have a $95 million home and we're going to go tell you how racist you are and climate change and all that sort of stuff.
So you have Aspen, you have basalt.
Yes.
And you have, so you have the whole western slope.
Do you have Durango?
I do.
Yes.
47%.
Yes.
Just keep naming cities.
I have them.
47% of the state.
Are you serious?
Yes.
So the western part of the state.
Yes.
Yes.
And then also we wrap down into Pueblo.
And I love Pueblo.
Pueblo is supposed to be a Democrat stronghold.
Those are all the coal people, aren't they?
Who's at Durango?
So Pueblo has a steel mill.
Okay.
And then there's a lot of wind turbines and everything.
Vestus is down there that is being built.
But our coal plants are all being shut down in Nucle and Adorita and Craig.
And, you know, China is building 200 coal-fired energy plants and we're buying solar panels from them and shutting down our coal-fired energy plants, our clean coal.
China's coal is dirty.
So do you represent represent Steamboat?
Yes.
Are you serious?
Yes.
So you've got a really interesting district.
You have literally the most conservative and then the most liberal.
Yes.
So I'm like, I would love to see your constituent calls.
Yes.
Yes.
They're fun.
You know, it would be nice if it was just people from the state that called to Grite, but most of them's like Lincoln Project campaign.
Of course.
But yeah, when I go throughout the district, it's incredible.
I want everyone to be encouraged that the base is still there.
The base is still motivated.
And if anything, we're bringing more people on with us.
The motivation that people have, the momentum, it is very real and it's very tangible.
I knew we had it in the primary.
I knew we had it in the general and it's even stronger now.
So they're trying to draw you out?
Yes.
I'm sure.
Yes, we're going through redistricting and they are redrawing the lines.
And I am their target because I'm doing what I said I would do.
Yes, you are.
Yes.
Well, no, but you're also really PR savvy.
I'm going to get to that in a second.
I get all the, I sign up for all the Democrat emails and I must get an email trying to defeat you every single day.
Like urgent triple match.
Nancy Pelosi needs your help.
Nohern Boebert is.
It's like, wow, she's really doing something.
It's funny.
I don't get that about Liz Cheney.
They never said anything like, help us defeat Liz Cheney.
That's kind of weird.
So you have nine opponents.
You don't have any primary action.
If anything, nothing significant.
Nothing significant.
Yeah.
So who's running in the other side?
It's still too early to tell.
Nine people, anyone that's right.
Well, they're raising lots of money.
Oh, I'm sure they are.
Seriously.
Yes.
Yes, absolutely.
And in Vail.
We have folks that are in the district that are hoping to be a part of the district running.
And so there are nine Democrats.
And the challenge with that is they're not running a primary campaign.
They're not attacking each other yet.
They're all attacking me.
And all of their earned media is attacking me.
And so all of the newspapers, any story that they're in, you know, it's how to defeat Lauren Bober.
And really, I think it's actually to their disadvantage because the more they attack me, the greater my people stand up to defend me because they know that I'm here for them.
It's especially true at these local congressional races.
Let's talk about one of my favorite sponsors, Thinker.
In our fast-paced world, it's tough to make reading a priority.
At least it used to be.
At thinker.org, T-H-I-N-K-R.org.
They summarize the key ideas from new and noteworthy nonfiction, giving you access to an entire library of great books in bite-sized form.
Read or listen to hundreds of titles in a matter of minutes.
From old classics like Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People to brand new bestsellers like Jordan Peterson's Beyond Order.
Even better, when they go out of their way to carry titles the left is trying to ban, like Ryan T. Anderson's When Harry Became Sally, a rational response to the transgender movement.
Whatever your background or interests, you'll find compelling content on Thinker.
I'm telling you right now, thinker.org, T-H-I-N-K-R.org is terrific.
If you want to challenge your preconceptions and expand your horizons and become a better thinker, go to thinker.org/slash Charlie.
That's T-H-I-N-K-R.org slash Charlie.

Again, that's thinker.org.
T-H-I-N-K-R.org.
T-H-I-N-K-R.org slash Charlie.
So the maps are being redrawn.
Do they have any idea what they're going to do?
Are they going to put in some like West Denver suburb in your district or something?
Boulder.
Oh, yeah.
Even better.
Are they really going to give you Boulder?
It's been threatened.
And then even there's one map that shows us bordering Boulder, another one, including Boulder.
It's, yeah, it's interesting.
That's how you know you're a threat.
So you're very good at PR, which I love because that's really what Congress has become.
It's basically an oversight board and a public relations organization.
Tell us about some of the stuff that you've been doing.
You brought Kamala Harris a cut out to the border.
Yes.
You, I'm trying to think you did some other things where you like try to bring a gun into the Congress or something.
Yeah.
No, I walk with my gun in Congress all the time.
They were trying to like sanction you or arrest you or something for that.
So we have metal detectors now.
Is it still under military occupation?
No, they are gone.
Yes, as of May 25th, I believe it was.
They really started.
Did they roll the tanks out?
Yeah, they're out of their goodness.
You know, Nancy Pelosi believes in walls and armed security.
So, you know, shouldn't we all also benefit?
Yes.
But, but no, she put metal detectors in front of the House chambers.
So when we go into the House chambers, we have to walk through metal detectors or we'll be fined.
$5,000 the first time, $10,000.
So you've done that.
So then what?
So I have not gone into the chambers without.
That was always the rule.
And I'm not going in there just like blow off all the rules.
But everywhere else in the Capitol complex, you can have your firearm.
Members can have their firearm.
And I have mine everywhere.
Wow.
Except the chambers.
Except the chambers, which has always been the House rules, I guess.
Going back to yes.
And there's been a lot that's happened there.
You know, we had a video exposing the hypocrisy of Nancy Pelosi and her wall with the miles of razor wire.
Benny did a similar video.
Yes, demanding she tear down the wall.
Yes.
And I'm a little prettier than Benny.
I agree.
Yes.
I agree.
Benny's pretty, but I wouldn't say that.
He's clever.
That's as far as I just want him to see this part of it.
He's clever and creative.
Yes.
I'll say that.
So talk about what it's like being in Congress.
Do you even have committee meetings anymore?
Oh, I'm so glad you asked.
So I serve on the Natural Resource Committee and the Budget Committee.
And we just recently had a real budget hearing.
And you've only spent $4 trillion since you've been there.
Yeah, right.
Exactly.
We're just now reviewing Biden's bloated budget and just how ridiculous that is.
But the $1.9 trillion budget reconciliation did not even go through the budget committee.
And then someone asked me, well, did it go through appropriations?
No, didn't go through anything.
It went straight to the House floor.
Like, that is how ridiculous they are in trying to get.
No markups.
No markups.
No hearings, no testimonies, nothing.
Nothing.
Hurry up and get it done because they didn't need the filibuster to reconcile the budget.
Well, in the House, they can go quick in the Senate's even.
It's become really expedient.
So you're on budget committee.
There has to be a continuing resolution coming up this fall, right?
We'll see.
We'll see what they end up doing with all of that.
We're talking about FY 2022.
And the thing is, there's no such thing as bipartisan ship in the House of Representatives right now.
Even our amendments, I mean, they just defeat them because it's a Republican amendment.
It is so difficult to get even an amendment to a bill added.
There's no such thing as unity.
And I mean, I call them out on their bull crap all the time for trying to speak love and peace and unity.
There's no such thing.
It's their way or no way.
We don't vote on Republican legislation.
And then I serve in the Natural Resource Committee and I had fun in that one recently.
There's a lot of important bills that pass that without going through that committee as well.
Eight huge land packages that heavily affected my district and those passed the House with flying colors.
But recently in one of our budget committee meeting, or excuse me, our natural resource committee hearing meetings, there was a man who came in.
Local Involvement in Committees 00:05:36
He said he drilled for natural gas in North Dakota.
And I got really excited.
I said, oh, we got a roughneck in the committee hearing room.
Like, this is great.
My husband's a roughneck.
He's drilled for natural gas for 18 years.
I was a pipeliner.
I love the industry.
I know the benefits from this industry.
And he gets on there and he starts demonizing it right away and just saying how horrible it is.
Call them as a witness.
Democrats.
Of course.
Yes.
So he says that there's artificial hyperinflation that comes in when these drilling companies come into communities.
Now, Charlie, there was nothing artificial about the businesses that succeeded when these companies came in, the schools that were built, the hospitals that were built, the fire departments, our roads.
There was nothing artificial about the moms who were able to stay home and raise their children if they wanted to.
So that's their new, but so let me give you, let me be clear.
I just want to explain this.
So their new argument is like, you know what?
You're right.
It does create all this wealth.
But the problem is that it's a stimulus.
Yes.
And what we need is instead of actually trying to use our natural resources, we want to give you government checks.
Is that their new argument?
Yes, that's exactly right.
So that's really.
But what is what?
Yes.
What is the problem?
We've got to find that sound.
We'll find that.
What is artificial hyperinflation?
What is artificial about this, excuse me, is politicians coming in and regulating us into poverty.
Obviously, yes.
That is our fault.
No, it's actually the most real thing.
It's something you can actually touch.
It's not just some numbers on a screen.
Correct.
It's actual real resources.
So fracking, every time it's come up in Colorado, failed.
Is that right?
No, we frack.
No, I'm saying every time a fracking ban.
I'm sorry.
Yeah.
To come up in Colorado, it's failed.
Yes.
There's different restrictions on where rigs can be located and stuff like that.
So they just keep narrowing where we can drill.
This wolf thing is going to be terrible.
Yes, it is.
Yes, it is.
So it's very difficult to drill in Colorado right now.
I think we have three or four standing rigs right now, a couple drilling for oil and two for natural gas.
But, you know, this man who was talking in the committee room, he was talking about how hard he worked and how it was backbreaking labor.
And he said, you know, I once worked a record 95 hours in seven days.
Huh.
Yeah.
I don't know if there's been a week I haven't worked 115.
Yes.
I mean, I got on there and told him, I said, sir, I remember my first part-time job, but I'm not here bragging about it.
That's funny.
But I mean, really, more than 100 hours a week is very natural for a lot of people, especially business owners.
And then there's usually not even a paycheck at the end of it.
He should just go become a bureaucrat.
Yes, yes, exactly.
Well, I think what was the most telling was he was complaining about not receiving a coat.
He didn't receive a coat.
The company didn't provide him with one.
He said, well, sir, you were provided with your PPE, your hard hat, your safety glasses, your gloves, your fire retardant clothing, the tools to get the job done.
I sit in the Natural Resource Committee, and the policies that are being promoted here actually send that work and those jobs to our adversaries, to our enemies, to China, to Africa, to Russia, to Saudi Arabia.
And I said, and you know, the policies that are being promoted here actually affect 40,000 children in the Congo who are mining for cobalt.
And they aren't given a coat.
They aren't given PPE.
They aren't even given tools to get the job done.
They are mining with their bare hands.
And that is what Democrats are promoting, child and slave labor.
And of course, in China as well, as we see, as you just mentioned.
So in closing here, what can people do to help you?
And because I'll be very honest, I've said this on my show.
I'm super uninterested in Congress.
Nothing meaningful happens.
And I'm just interested in the cultural landscape.
Not to say I'm not interested in your story and what you're doing.
I think it's really important, but Congress just seems awful.
I don't envy you.
What can people do to maybe give a little bit more confidence that this whole thing is not just a complete and total scam?
Yes.
Well, I need people to get involved locally.
I need everything that your organization does to motivate our youth and this next generation that's coming up is so vital, so important.
And so for people to get involved in their schools and speak up, we need voices now more than ever.
And that's what I do.
I speak up and expose the hypocrisy and the corruption that is going on and make fun of them while I'm doing it.
I troll liberals.
So that's what it is.
That's what I do.
Oh, they hate you.
It's great.
Yes.
But we need people involved at every level.
And I don't believe that it's over or I wouldn't be there.
But I'm every day being led by the Spirit of God and putting my faith in God that there is a plan for our country.
There have been two countries that were created to glorify God: Israel and the United States of America.
And we will glorify God.
Amen.
Yes.
Well, Lauren, Congresswoman, thank you for what you're doing.
Don't let the bad guys get you down.
And I have a feeling you're going to win, even if they give you Boulder or if they give you downtown Denver.
We're going to try to pull this one across the finish line.
But you're doing wonderful work.
And I wish we had more Republicans like you because you didn't go to that Robert Francis O'Rourke rally to try to go run for something.
It's a legitimate citizen government story, which I really, really appreciate.
So thank you so much.
Thanks so much, Charlie.
