Then we went to Springfield, Missouri, in southwestern Missouri.

But last night we were in Lexington, Kentucky.
And the University of Kentucky warmly opened up Rup Arena for us, of which there's a lot of great history, basketball history there.
We must had 800 people there.
I mean, it was standing room only.
It was an amazing thing.
A huge facility, and we packed it up.
And I want to thank the University of Kentucky for allowing us to do that.
And our Turning Point USA activists did an amazing job this week.
Our staff, they were on point.
And why a lot of people kind of watching and waiting and asking, well, what do we do in a moment like this?
We at Turning Point USA, we are continually playing offense with a sense of urgency to win America's culture war.
Okay, CharlieKirk.com, the front page of CharlieKirk.com, we have a story about the biggest story happening in the country because he finally did it.
The president of the United States, Joe Biden, gave a press conference.
Joe Biden decided to do what Donald Trump and many other presidents before him would do almost weekly, limited to just 25 reporters.
Now, the stunning part of this press conference was that Joe Biden was not calling on people and having a dialogue.
Instead, he had a prescripted list of people to call on.
In fact, a side angle of a photograph that was taken, Joe Biden had names and pictures of every single reporter with numbers next to them of the order of which he was going to call on them.
He also had a note card that said all of his main talking points.
The United States now ranks 13th globally in infrastructure quality, down from fifth place in 2022, which doesn't even make any sense.
China spends three times more on infrastructure than the U.S.
These are all of his cheat sheets that he had.
We saw it from the side.
This was not an organic press conference.
This was a contrived, unnatural, insincere, almost actorly performance.
The best way I can describe it, it was almost like a matinee.
A matinee, of course, is a performance in a theater that takes place in the daytime.
This is pre-scripted.
The questions were screened beforehand, at least the journalists, quote-unquote, the journalists, beforehand were screened.
Joe Biden knew the questions that were going to be asked.
And the most important thing is not what the questions that were asked, but the questions that weren't asked.
Do you not know that Joe Biden got zero questions on the Chinese coronavirus?
Meanwhile, that's the only questions that Donald Trump got through every single press briefing that he did.
No questions on the Chinese coronavirus.
Do you think if Donald Trump fell walking up the stairs three times, you think that someone would have asked a question of whether or not his health was okay or he passed his health examination?
None of those questions were asked.
So let's get into some of the specifics of the press conference.
And if you didn't watch the press conference, you're very lucky.
You probably had a wonderful last 24 hours.
But it's important to get into the details and to get into the specifics of this press conference because it really tells us a lot.
So let's start right here.
Joe Biden was questioned on whether he was running again in 2024.
Cut 72, play tape.
You also just made some news by saying that you are going to run for reelection.
I said that is my expectation.
So is that a yes that you are running for re-election?
Look, I don't know where you guys come from, man.
I've never been able to travel.
I'm a great respecter of fate.
I've never been able to plan four and a half, three and a half years ahead for certain.
And if you do run, will Vice President Harris be on your ticket?
I would fully expect that to be the case.
She's doing a great job.
She's a great partner.
She's a great partner.
And do you believe you'll be running against former President Trump?
Oh, come on.
I don't even think about it.
I have no idea.
I have no idea whether there'll be a Republican Party.
Well, that's a very strange answer.
Now, that's Caitlin Collins from CNN, who instead of asking questions about substance, just asks the easiest question that would generate a clickbait headline that is actually completely irrelevant to the crises that are happening in our country right now.
So the matinee at the White House continued when Joe Biden decided to comment on the border crisis.
He was asked about it, and he misrepresented and lied about the border crisis.
He said, something like this happens every year, man.
Play cut 70.
Well, look, I guess I should be flattered people are coming because I'm the nice guy.
That's the reason why it's happening, that I'm a decent man, or Haver's phrase.
That's why they're coming because no Biden's a good guy.
Truth of the matter is, nothing has changed.
As many people came, 28% increase in children to the border in my administration, 31% in the last year in 2019 before the pandemic in the Trump administration.
It happens every single solitary year.
He's totally wrong about that.
This crisis is on pace to be one of the worst border crises in American history.
Joe Biden was reading off of his notes the entire time, and Brett Baer himself said he has never seen anything quite like this.
And we have tape of that.
We'll get that in the coming segments.
It is the Cliff Note presidency.
And those of you that know what Cliff Notes are, he's just basically reading off of cheat sheets the entire time.
So why is that troublesome?
Look, we all need notes here and there.
I just gave seven hours of speeches this week, and I had a couple notes.
Notes are helpful to kind of keep you on track.
The real question that people need to be asking is who's writing those notes?
Who's actually in charge of the input into the output of the Biden administration?
Who are the people making the decisions behind the most powerful government in our country?
Joe Biden refused to do a press conference up until this last moment, this last 24 hours.
And he covered a lot of different topics.
Joe Biden also talked about the filibuster, which is a new obsession of the Democrat Party to try to get rid of the filibuster because the filibuster is the last impediment of their totalitarian power grab in our country.
And it's more clear than ever that the activist press, they don't want to ask tough questions out of Joe Biden because they look at him as a teammate.
They look at him as the captain of the team.
And instead of asking tough questions, Caitlin Collins from CNN will ask him, so are you going to run again?
Will Kamala Harris be your nominee?
If only Donald Trump was asked questions like that 65 days into his presidency.
When Donald Trump walked into a press briefing, it was a battlefield.
Yesterday felt like a board meeting.
It felt like some people had some questions.
They didn't want to overly offend the quote-unquote CEO.
There was almost a friendly relationship between the press and the president.
And it is more dramatic than we've ever seen how the press decides to cover for this current administration.
I want to go to Cut 89.
I think we have it.
Chris Wallace, of whom I've criticized plenty of times, but he made a very fair statement yesterday on Fox News.
Let's go to Cut 89, Chris Wallace.
Yeah, and I have to say, I was also struck by the fact that it seemed on every foreign policy question, not the others, but on foreign policy, he went to his briefing book like Jen Saki does sometimes in the briefings and was reading, obviously, White House guidance, White House talking points, covering Ronald Reagan for six years.
I never saw that.
Watching a lot of news conferences over the years, I've never seen that.
A president in a news conference reading talking points, he did that on, it seemed every foreign policy question.
So Chris Wallace makes a very important point here.
And again, I've been plenty critical of Chris Wallace.
However, he has a lot of credibility because of how unfair I believe he was to Donald Trump that it's actually worth playing the tape because it goes to show that even he will go out of his way to criticize Joe Biden for this.
There is one question that the activist press should be asking, and that we as conservatives and those of us that love our country need to be asking this question.
And quite honestly, I don't know the answer totally.
I have some suspicions.
I have some ideas to the answer to this question.
But the question is this.
Who is in charge?
We joke about that Joe Biden does not have the mental acuity or the faculties to make informed decisions.
We joke about how he falls upstairs, not just falling downstairs.
And all those are fine, and there's some lighthearted aspects of all that.
And for Benny Johnson, who works for us at Turning Point USA and does a great job, I'll allow him to continue in the meme humor arena.
But I'm going to ask a very serious question that our leaders should be asking.
Who's in charge?
Now, mind you, that question is actually a really interesting, it's not just an interesting question, it's an interesting thought process.
It's also critically important.
And that's one of the major ways they were able to delegitimize the presidency of Donald Trump, is they asked from the beginning, who's in charge?
And they answered Russia.
And because of that, they were able to justify Bob Mueller, special counsel.
And the American people are really interested in this sort of thought process.
They are interested in finding out, wait a second, if it isn't him, then who is it?
Is it Valerie Jarrett?
Is it Barack Obama?
Is it Xi Jiping?
Is it the Chinese Communist Party?
Is it the Soros family?
Is it Jeff Bezos?
We don't totally know.
We know it's not Joe Biden.
We know Joe Biden is just reading the dance card.
We know Joe Biden is just playing his part in the afternoon matinee.
We know Joe Biden is just doing what he's told.
We got that point.
And we'll keep on reiterating it.
But the more interesting and the more impactful, in fact, the most important question is who's actually in charge of this government?
And if you say you know, you don't.
You actually don't.
You have guesses.
You do not know this with certainty.
But every single journalist in the country needs to be forced to actually cover this.
Who's in charge?
It could be a confluence of different interests.
Some people might call it a shadow presidency, a puppet presidency.
That's all fine.
I agree with that.
The question is: who is then the person actually pulling the strings?

The operative question right now is who's in charge?
It certainly isn't Joe Biden.
Joe Biden literally started wandering off stage yesterday.
Joe Biden does what he's told to do.
Joe Biden does what is written in front of him.
He's just playing a part.
He has a sheet of paper with journalists' names and faces in front of him and who to call on and in what order.
So the question then leads is then who actually is in charge of our $4 trillion government every single year?
Who's in charge of our nuclear weapons?
Who's in charge of our Tomahawk missiles?
Who's in charge of our aircraft carriers?
Who's in charge of the executive orders?
Who's in charge of the most powerful entity in the history of the planet?

Who's the Quentin Tarantino behind this scripted play to destroy the American Republic?
OpenSecrets.org had a story that came out nine days ago that almost no one covered.
Dark money topped $1 billion in 2020, largely boosting Democrats.
The 2020 election saw $1 billion in dark money spending at a federal level, a massive sum driven by the explosion of secret donations boosting Democrats.
Over $660 million of contributions to political groups, $88 million of FEC reported spending, $132 million of digital ad spending, and $170 million of television advertising spending.
Liberal dark money groups overshadow conservatives.
Again, I am reading right now from opensecrets.org.
Joe Biden's presidential bid attracted $174 million in support from anonymous donors, more than six times the $25.2 million in dark money contributions and spending boosting President Donald Trump's unsuccessful reelection effort.
Future Forward USA, a new hybrid PAC, put in $100 million into ads backing Biden in the presidential race and took in $61 million from its affiliated 501c4 nonprofit in the final months of the election.
Each of the top Biden super PACs, American Bridge 21st Century Priorities USA Action and Unite the Country, received multi-million dollar contributions from the 1630 Fund.
The expansive secret donor network, which poured more than $57 million into liberal committees at the federal level, anti-Trump 501c4 nonprofits defending democracy together also chipped in spending more than $15 million.
And yet, if you just read the activist press, you would think only conservatives were using 501c4 quote-unquote dark money groups.
Yet it is Democrats that dwarf Republicans when it comes to using the dark money apparatus, which then the question should be: who's behind these groups?
Who's financing Joe Biden?
Who is the screenwriter of Joe Biden's script?
Is it Google?
Is it Facebook?
Is it Apple?
Is it the teacher unions?
Who's the special interest puppet master?
Who's the person that is telling Joe Biden what to do?
That's a fascinating question.
That's something worthy of exploring.
At the very least, it's worthy of asking the question.
You see, very angry journalists, I put that in quotes, who have very little talent made millions of dollars accusing and speculating that Donald Trump was purchased by the Russian government.
They still are not letting that go.
That he laundered the money through Deutsche Bank.
You see, we as conservatives sometimes live in a bubble.
And in fact, that's okay at times, because if you had to encounter the left as much as I did, do or did, you wouldn't be a very happy person.
And if you would be stunned at how many books have been written around this conspiracy theory that Donald Trump was purchased by Vladimir Putin.
So the interesting question that Rachel Maddow explored for years with no evidence at all whatsoever is who is in charge of Donald Trump?
Now, of course, we knew the answer to that question.
The people were in charge of Donald Trump.
Donald Trump listened to his voters.
Donald Trump listened to the people that put him into office.
Joe Biden doesn't listen to his voters.
I don't even know what Joe Biden voters specifically want.
Instead, it's very clear that Joe Biden is not an independent thinker.
Joe Biden is not someone who critically analyzes the issues.
Joe Biden is simply in a position to do what he's told.
I want you to listen to this tape right here of Joe Biden on China.
Play tape.
So I see stiff competition with China.
China has an overall goal, and I don't criticize them for the goal, but they have an overall goal to become the leading country in the world, the wealthiest country in the world, and the most powerful country in the world.
Well, maybe China's in charge.
I don't criticize them for that goal.
Could you imagine Ronald Reagan giving a speech like that about the Soviet Union?
The Chinese Communist Party is equally as evil as the Soviet Union.
In some ways, they're equally as evil as the National Socialist Workers' Party in the 1930s, Germany.
And he doesn't criticize them for that goal.
Oh, we're competitors.
We're not adversaries.
What a weak, vanilla, questionable description.
Calling them competitors, not adversaries.
I mean, I call them an enemy.
I have for quite some time.
And criticizing them is the least thing that he should be doing.
So, again, goes to show who's actually calling the shots?
Who's in charge?
Who's the one that is conducting this metaphorical orchestra of the Biden White House?
If I was Xi Jiping, I would have been thrilled with yesterday's press conference.
If I was Xi Jping, I would have waited up very late, probably was midnight or 1 a.m. in Wuhan, and I would have toasted champagne and ate pork.
They love pork in China, with the nonsense and the drivel and the weakness that your employee, Joe Biden, espoused at the press conference.
You see, the Chinese, they're very bad at some things, and they're very good at other things.
Let me be even more specific.
The Chinese Communist Party, the people in charge, the Chinese people are perfectly fine.
I'm not going to make any sort of judgments towards them.
The people in charge are evil.
Xi Jinping, 5% of the country of China has 100% of the power.
The Chinese Communist Party, they're liars.
They're thieves.
They steal and they don't create.
But some of the things they're good at is they're very patient.
They're phenomenal at infiltration.
Now, in order to be a good infiltrator, you must be treacherous.
You must be deceitful.
That's why those of us that are Christians, we don't make very good infiltrators because you have to actually live a lie.
It's not something that we're overly interested in.
We want to espouse our positions publicly that we say privately.
We don't want to live a double life.
The Chinese and the Chinese Communist Party, they have no such concerns about that.
But the Chinese Communist Party was very smart strategically to purchase certain political families through business deals throughout the years.
That's exactly what they did with Tony Bobulinsky and Hunter Biden and Joe Biden, 10% for the big man, when Hunter Biden boarded Air Force 2 and went to China and secured a multi-billion dollar investment.
And now China is able to cash in on that investment.
You trying to tell me the Chinese Communist Party, through a sovereign bank, they invested in Hunter Biden's funds, something that he had no experience in whatsoever, because they thought that he was going to deliver double-digit returns?
Of course not.
They did that because they knew that one day, maybe, possibly, Joe Biden might be in front of that lectern that has the seal that says the president of the United States.
And under that, it says E pluribus Unum with the beautiful golden eagle seal.
The Chinese Communist Party was placing a bet.
The Chinese Communist Party was developing a farm team, to use a baseball analogy as baseball's coming back.
They were trying to make sure they had a seat at the table early and often.
And so yesterday when Joe Biden comes up on stage and he refused to call China an adversary, refused to call them an enemy, and he says, oh, they're a competitor.
And they have an ambition.
And I don't criticize them for that.
Joe Biden is basically legitimizing genocide.
It's what China believes.
They have a one-child policy.
They have a million Muslims in concentration camps.
Joe Biden is worse than Neville Chamberlain ever was.
And the activist press is perfectly okay with it because the activist press has been propagandized and hypnotized by our colleges or universities to truly believe that the Chinese Communist Party is nowhere near as evil as our own country.
Only people that go to college can believe something so foolish as that.
And so as we wrestle with this question this hour, who's in charge, a pretty good guess would, well, maybe China's in charge.
You know, it's so funny.
They went after Donald Trump relentlessly on this idea of the emoluments clause that Donald Trump was somehow purchased by the Russians and the Saudis.
And yet the activist press is completely silent on the idea that maybe Joe Biden is purchased and still is purchased by the Chinese Communist Party.
In fact, Hunter Biden still has shares in a Chinese Communist Party company.
New York Post, Hunter Biden still working to unwind his investment in Chinese firm.
Hunter Biden still owns a share in Bohai Harvest RST, an equity investment fund in management known as BHR.
So Hunter Biden, who has unfettered access into our government, Hunter Biden, who is currently under Secret Service protection, Hunter Biden, who is very close to his father, is a shareholder in a Chinese Communist Party company.
Maybe that's why Joe Biden was so light on China yesterday.

Who's in charge?
Who's in charge of our government?
That is the most important question right now.
We know that Joe Biden is lying.
We know that there are logical and reasonable responses to every single claim he is making.
But the question that needs to be asked and our attention must be focused on who's actually the person or the group, the entity that is putting forward the agenda that we find to be so reprehensible in our country.
It is certainly not Joe Biden.
He's the most scripted, the most unnatural, the most insincere, and the most actorly performance we have ever seen.
Maybe it's China.
Maybe it's the tech companies.
Maybe it's the Chamber of Commerce, the National Chamber of Commerce.
Maybe it's far-left-wing activist groups, or maybe it's all of those inputs and one person behind Joe Biden that is really calling the shots.
You see, the Founding Fathers warned us against a president like Joe Biden.
There's a psychological truth called psychological projection.
It can be best described as a defense mechanism in which the ego will defend itself against impulses that might be unconscious or qualities by denying their existence in themselves by attributing it to others.
We know this to be true.
And this is exactly how the Democrats and the left treated Donald Trump.
They accused him and they accuse conservatives and Republicans of everything they are actually doing.
We are in the midst of a massive psychological projection exercise where they say to Republicans and to Donald Trump that conservatives are purchased by Russia and that they are not the ones actually calling the shots when in reality, it's the exact opposite.
In reality, it is the Democrats that are the ones that are not calling the shots.
They are the ones that are doing the bidding of others.
And it is imperative that we do not lose focus on this question.
It's the most important question happening.
And I think the more questions we ask and the more research we do from wonderful people like Peter Schweitzer, we'll be able to get a fuller picture in groups like Judicial Watch and Tom Fitten.
Now, mind you, the activist press tried to answer that question when it came to Donald Trump, and they tried to come to some nefarious fictional answer, and they were never able to get close to it, despite a special counsel, despite tens of millions of dollars spent on it, despite two impeachment hearings.
And let's just not forget Eric Swawell, who's on the House Intelligence Committee, was compromised by Fang Fang.
We can't forget that Diane Feinstein had a Chinese Communist Party driver for years.
That Hunter Biden received a massive investment, $2 billion plus investment from the Chinese Communist Party sanctioned bank.
That Hunter Biden is still a shareholder in a Chinese Communist Party company.
And Jensaki even acknowledged it.
Who's in charge?
You know, when you get to a situation of some chaos, and we dealt with one of these this last week, I'm not going to say where.
But things were not going the way they should be.
And I turned around and I asked who we were with.
I said, who is in charge here?
I want to speak to the manager.
You ever had that phenomenon happen before?
And then eventually someone who has a badge or someone, that person is responsible for what is happening at that circus or that chaotic environment.
And that person must then take ownership and responsibility.
You see, because there was someone that was at that specific incident who had no idea what was going on.
And I knew that person's not in charge.
Show me who's really in charge.
And let me be very clear.
Every American should be saying, I want to speak to the manager.
Because I know Joe Biden's not in charge.
He is the foolish, clueless secretary fumbling with papers, just being the hologram spokesperson.
We need to demand to speak to the manager.
I want to know who's actually in charge of our country right now.
And it's not Joe Biden.
