So it seems the war against YouTube and YouTubers is well underway and I am no exception.
Over the last week my ad revenue has flatlined just like everyone else's.
This means I have to diversify my income revenue streams or something, and I'm loath to simply shill my Patreon because I've never wantonly shilled my Patreon before and I don't intend to start now.
Instead I thought I might do similar to the arts competition I ran last year.
I've been asked many times to sell t-shirts, which I don't mind doing but I run into a snag.
I am a terrible t-shirt designer.
I've tried my hand at this before and failed miserably because I have zero artistic talent.
So that's when you come in.
For this competition I'll select the five best designs to be printed up as t-shirts for whoever wishes to buy one.
I'll select my top five favourites to be printed up as t-shirts and each entry picked in the top five will receive prize money with fifth place receiving $100, 4th place receiving $250, 3rd place receiving $500, 2nd place receiving $1000 and 1st place receiving $2,000.
The competition will begin today and last for 1 month, closing on the 4th of May 2017.
Please email all entries as PNG files of 1920 by 1080 resolution.
The design doesn't necessarily have to fill all of the space or anything like that, I just want standardised images that I can use for my own convenience really.
And I don't really mind if the background is transparent or not, but I think I would probably prefer transparent backgrounds.
But then if you have a good reason not to have a transparent background on it, then that's fine.
I don't want to restrict you, I just let you know my preferences on it.
The designs don't necessarily need to be traditional artistic pieces.
Feel free to innovate.
Do whatever you want really.
Whatever you think looks good.
I don't have any particular preferences here, so I'm interested to see what you come up with.
Please email all the competition entries to sargonovacad100 at gmail.com, and you may enter as many times as you please.
Please write t-shirt competition in the title of the email so I can find them easily.
I don't want to miss any entries.
By entering the competition, you are transferring ownership of your design to me and may not use it elsewhere.
Once the competition is over and I have chosen the winning designs, I'll do a video showcasing the designs I received along with the name and contact information of the artist who submitted it.
So ensure you clearly include how people can find you if they enjoy your work.
So even if you don't win, I'd really like to showcase your work anyway, get you some exposure.
I'll announce when the t-shirts will be on sale via a video, and I think that I'll probably have them as a limited run with only a handful of the top entries available.
I've had so many requests from artists who want to do t-shirts for me and from people who want to buy t-shirts of mine that I figure I may as well put everything together and given how Google are not exactly a reliable source of revenue anymore and I do this professionally, I have to start looking at other avenues.
So I figure this would be one that benefits everyone.
Anyway, thanks for watching and I'm looking forward to seeing your designs.
