Time Text
Hello everyone, welcome to this week in Stupid for the 6th of November 2016.
This week is as stupid as every other fucking week.
Although there is something about this week that I think is a little bit special.
There seems to be this extra level of regressive hatred for other people.
Well, okay, when I say other people, I mean men.
White men.
Straight white men.
You know, the demon class of society.
There is an extra level of hatred, and this has been in part led by Lena Dunham.
I think she's been reading Nietzsche a lot when she says, it's not the end of men, it's the evolution of men into better men.
As in, I teach you the overman.
Sorry, sorry, nobody is going to have read that.
Anyway, this is the video that accompanies it, and it's from her father, Carol Dunham, talking about what he thinks is going to happen to men.
How are you feeling about the extinction of white men?
Well, white men are a problem.
Straight white men are a big problem.
Okay, hold the fucking phone there.
Let's just, for a second, imagine that this had been said about any other race or gender.
The backlash.
I mean, Lena Dunham would never have published this on her Twitter feed, and this would never be something that the press is talking about.
No, no, no.
This would be a fucking outrage if this had happened.
And yet for him to go, well, I think the problem really is just straight white men.
I mean, that's just totally normal.
Nobody cares.
That's for sure.
That is for sure.
And if straight white men were to go, you know what, I actually think the problem is brown people.
I think they're the problem instead.
It's not us, it's actually you.
Then these people would again pitch a fucking fit.
But I actually feel pretty good about it.
I think straight white guys have been screwing things up for long enough.
Screwing things up.
Because the world was so amazing and advanced before straight white men decided to colonize it.
I mean, it was so incredible.
It was just the pinnacle of technology, morality, political science.
All of these things really, really got crushed by the barbaric straight white man.
He did nothing for anyone and I just, all right.
High time for straight white males to step back and let some other people do it.
That's my dad.
That is indeed Lena Dunham's father, Carol Dunham, an artist whose entire art career seems to have revolved around drawing bizarre cartoon pictures of women bent over from behind.
Carol Dunham is obviously not a lunatic.
I mean, this is totally normal.
And this doesn't indicate a deep-seated problem with women and men, and the way he views women and men.
And now, the fact that he is suggesting that men are just the problem really goes to explain exactly how Lena Dunham came to be such a raging bigot.
And I really do think that this is probably the reason why Lena Dunham feels comfortable inflicting her naked or partly naked body on the rest of the world.
I mean, I realize the world is a grim and dark place where bad things have happened, Lena.
But adding fuel to the fire really doesn't seem productive.
You disgusting Harridan.
I particularly enjoyed this article by Anna Kasparian on Raw Story.
Meet the self-hating women voting for Trump.
This is where Anna fully embraces the feminist rhetoric, declaring that she is better than us, and that everyone else is in fact a misogynist.
And if they're a woman, they have internalized misogyny.
Duh.
Carol Robertson is a staunch Donald Trump supporter.
When asked about the sexual assault and rape allegations her candidate of choice is currently facing, Robertson told a CNN reporter that she thinks these women need to grow a set.
To be honest with you, if I were Carol, I'd just be like, yeah, allegations.
Allegations that only surfaced when it was politically expedient for Hillary Clinton.
But Carol said, you know, it's been a lot of years.
Get over it, she uttered, minimizing their experiences to finding nothing more than a strand of hair and a cup of soup.
Well, the question really is: if it's been a lot of years, A, why haven't they got over it?
But B, why didn't they report it before now?
Anna goes on to say, while it's jarring to hear a woman defend sexual assault, Robertson isn't the only female who attends rallies for a candidate who has demonstrated on numerous occasions that he thinks of women as second-class citizens who deserve to be called fat pigs or worthless if he doesn't consider them attractive.
That's um that's a very fair and generous analysis of Donald Trump's position on women, Anna.
That's certainly not making you look like a lunatic.
I mean, at what point has Donald Trump suggested that they should be, and I quote you, second-class citizens, Anna?
You fucking.
Honestly, you're an insane person, and yet you are part of a network who has partnered with Qatar, a country that does actually treat women as second-class citizens.
Anyway, let's carry on, Anna.
Let's just carry on down the rabbit hole of abject hypocrisy.
Wisconsin voter Debbie Shields says she believes Trump is a loving and compassionate father who is chosen by God for a time like this.
Well, I mean, he does seem to be very well loved by his children, so there's no reason to think that he isn't.
I mean, I obviously don't agree with the God part, but who cares, right?
Another Wisconsin woman, only goes by the name of Shirley, told CNN that Trump's character flaws aren't really that big of a deal.
And I agree with her.
She believes Democrats have no issues they can win on, so all they can do is try and pick on Trump and his character.
And that's, as far as I can tell, absolutely correct.
I mean, what was the last issue that Democrats attempted to argue?
What was the last issue that anyone attempted to argue, frankly?
I mean, I hear Trump talking about the wall and the immigration and all this sort of stuff, but all I hear about the Democrats is going on about how much of a racist and sexist Trump is.
And I'm just looking at this thinking, okay, you guys have learned nothing from Brexit because you are presenting nothing positive about Hillary Clinton.
What you are doing is you are saying, vote for us because the other people are worse.
This is the anti-Brexit strategy.
And that backfired.
I'm not going to talk about the Brexit thing because I haven't looked into it enough and it's probably going to get its own video next week.
But it's just not a winner with voters to say, well, I mean, you know, this is just going to be terrible if you do this.
Terrible, terrible, terrible, bad, bad, bad.
Look, if you're not presenting a positive vision for the future, you can't win.
And I don't know if you've noticed, but nobody is presenting a positive vision of a future under a Hillary presidency.
They are presenting it at best as a, well, it could have been worse.
It's exactly like the pro-EU case.
Well, I mean, being outside of the EU is going to be terrible, don't you think?
No, I don't think.
But I do think that staying inside the EU is going to be terrible because you're not presenting a good case.
You're not even presenting any case to stay inside the EU.
This is the point with these people, they don't understand that the politics of fear are actually not very productive.
Anna says that what I never seem to understand about feminist bashing conservative women is their inability to see how ironic it is that they attend political rallies, share their opinions, and cast their ballots when the America they're nostalgic about wouldn't allow them to do any of these things.
Fucking hell, Anna!
They are not advocating for a time before women had the vote, you fucking idiot!
Gone, gone.
Let's hear the old school sexism from you then, Anna.
If a woman thinks that females have no place in politics, why isn't her deplorable ass in the kitchen making her husband a ham sandwich?
Are you even listening to yourself, Anna?
Women are not to be heard, right?
Nobody's saying that, Anna!
Nobody is fucking saying that!
The only people who are saying that is you, as a ridiculous straw man, to try and make it sound like the people you are arguing against are as immoral as you want them to be.
Because then your righteous, righteous fury would be totally justified.
But I have some fucking bad news for you, Anna.
It's not, and you are an idiot.
With four days left until the general election, poll numbers indicate that Trump and Hillary are in a tight race.
Amazingly so, isn't it?
There are people who would vote for Hillary.
It's sobering to realize that there's a huge chunk of the US voting population that doesn't think of sexual assault as something horrendous enough to disqualify a presidential candidate.
When the topic of rape culture comes up, conservatives love to claim that it's much ado about nothing, but the reaction, or rather the inaction to these rape allegations demonstrates how dominant rape culture is in America.
You know what, Anna, I think you're right.
think on this one thing you're finally right.
Let's have a look at, oh, I don't know, let's just pick a random name out of the hat.
Hillary Clinton's defense of rape culture.
Clinton has been accused of threatening, smearing, and targeting women her husband has sexually assaulted or carried out consensual affairs with, and this has been happening for decades.
The Daily Wire lists seven examples of this.
I'm not going to waste your time with them, Anna, and I'm not going to waste my time with them, Anna, because these are manifestly on the record.
With Hillary Clinton targeting women for 30 years, Anna, who have been accusing her husband of sexual assault.
But, you know, she's the feminist candidate, so we'll just ignore all this.
This never fucking happened, Anna.
Into the memory hole it goes.
You fucking hack.
So this is the innate sexism of the pro-Clinton regressive campaigners.
Not only are they like Lena Dunham anti-male, they are also like Anna Kasparian, anti-fucking female.
These women do not need to be silenced and get back into the kitchen just because they disagree with you, Anna.
And Lena, you are a psycho, fuck off.
So let's start talking race, shall we?
I'm voting for Hillary because I want Trump supporters to lose badly and go and fucking die.
Well tell me how you really feel.
This was written by a columnist for Ebony magazine.
I imagine it's not much of a surprise to learn that I plan on voting for Hillary Clinton next week.
I haven't necessarily been with her, but I have been consistently anti-Trump for as long as he's been a viable candidate.
I do not, as many extremely intelligent and thoughtful and progressive people I genuinely respect happen to believe, believe Hillary represents the lesser of two evils.
I believe she's flawed, hawkish, and can be ruthless.
Right, so you think she is actually the worst candidate.
That's what you're saying.
You think she is actually the worst candidate for this position, and yet you're voting for her anyway.
He says, I'm very well aware she's done her fair share of racial and racist dog whistling, and worse, I believe she's competent in both good and bad ways.
Okay.
Okay, yeah, I mean, she was one of those people who was supporting a KKK member.
I mean, at least according to Snopes, who marked it as true and then included a video of Hillary Clinton endorsing the man by calling him a mentor.
Today our country has lost a true American original, my friend and mentor Robert Seabird.
But like he said, he already knows about all of this.
He knows about her racist past.
He knows that this is all just political maneuvering to get his vote.
But he says, I believe she has grown.
Of course, of course you would like to believe she has grown.
Of course, you would like to believe that she gives a fuck about your politics because she is pandering to you.
Whether that growth is politically motivated or not doesn't much matter to me.
Well, I'm sorry, but that... are you honestly...
Okay, well you're just an idiot then, aren't you?
You're just a fucking moron.
You are a gullible twat if you think it doesn't matter whether it's not politically motivated or not.
And I love this.
I just care that it exists.
It only exists for as long as she needs it to exist.
And I believe she's a fucking adult.
Well, I don't believe you're a fucking adult.
And I don't really believe she's a fucking adult.
I don't believe any of the people involved in any of this are acting like fucking adults.
When it became about character and not policy, it stopped being fucking adult.
But this isn't why I'm voting for her.
I'm voting for her because I do not want to live in America where the type of people who'd fervently, dogmatically, and unconditionally support Trump, those who exist so motivated and permeated with hate and fear and loathing that they'd stand in formation behind Darth Cheeto, have a reason to be optimistic about their beliefs.
Okay?
The people who are like Americans, right?
I do not want these people to feel good or inspired.
I do not want them to receive some type of collectic psychic victory.
I do not want them to experience any measure of positive reinforcement.
No encouragement, no stern, no rousing, no influx of energy, no invigoration, no revitalization.
No, nothing besides confusion, shame, and if the confusion and shame isn't enough to at least convince them to consider not hating me and people who look like me and people who don't look like them, death.
Jesus fucking Christ!
They have got no reason not to hate you back now.
I mean, I don't think they hated you before.
I know you're thinking that they're all racists, but I actually don't think they're all racists.
But this is now an unreconcilable position, isn't it?
I mean, you are wishing death on these people if they don't do as you say.
Isn't that just crazy?
Isn't that just insane?
You think they hate you because you're black, whereas you do hate them because they are Republicans.
Just, I'm just pointing this out.
I mean, this is just your article, you say this.
Whereas I don't think you should hate each other at all.
Yes, you read that correctly.
I want these motherfuckers to lose, says the adult writing the article.
And if losing what might be the last winnable election for them in a millennia isn't enough for them to move into the 21st century, I wouldn't mind terribly if they withered the fuck away and died.
I'll even write them a card.
A card that will say, thank you.
Honestly, the person who wrote this article is a horrible person.
They are a terrible human being.
I mean, for indulging this, for allowing themselves to indulge in this kind of hatred is genuinely scary, in my opinion.
And I really think that these people should just take a step back and go, okay, we're actually wishing death on people who disagree with us now.
I'm just saying we are the ones wishing the death on the people who disagree with us, so maybe we are in fact the bigots.
Honestly, I feel like I'd be beating a dead horse by pointing out more proof of how corrupt Hillary Clinton is, but I'm going to list it anyway just because I want it on the record.
I want it to be known that, look, I have pointed this out, and if you're ignoring it, then that's you ignoring it.
That's not the fact that you didn't know these things existed.
So, Reuters have reported that the Clintons charity has confirmed that Qatar gave them a million-dollar gift when she was at the State Department, and this was done on Bill Clinton's birthday, and it was not declared.
I have, of course, had people on Twitter arguing with me that just because a slave state's government decides to donate to Clinton's Foundation on Bill Clinton's birthday, that in itself is not actually proof of quid pro quo.
And I have to tell you that you are a fucking naive political illiterate.
Don't ever darken my doorway again, you fucking moron.
If you think this is the Qatar government donating to charity, you're a moron and you literally have no place in this conversation.
You don't know what politics is about.
You don't know why this has happened and nobody needs to hear your opinion.
I'm sorry, I don't mean to get all Anna Kasparian about it, but you genuinely have no idea if you think this was just an innocent thing.
You are a moron.
You are being taken for a ride.
In fact, you probably know you're being taken for a ride, but your partisanship is preventing you from acknowledging this as truth.
This is why Dave Chappelle has come out and been like, look, she's not right, and we all know it.
Because we do.
We all know there is something wrong with Hillary.
Literally, you can't see a pro-Hillary article without the person in the article saying, well, look, we all know that Hillary has some major flaws.
You know, the corruption, the scandals, all of these things, you know, the numerous FBI investigations into her, her emails, and her charities.
You know, we know that there's something not right about her, but I really don't like Trump.
I just really don't like him.
He really offends me.
I'm so offended.
I mean, yes, he hasn't done any of the things that Hillary's done, but I am just so, so offended.
And I'm just tired about hearing about your feelings.
I don't care.
I don't care if you're offended.
I care that Hillary is above the law, and you should care too.
I've always loved Chappelle, and this just reinforces this for me, right?
He says, referring to Anderson Cooper and Marta Radatz's hostile questioning, he says, something about this was backwards.
A gay white man and a white woman asking a multi-billionaire how he knows the system is rigged and insisting it's not.
Does that sound right to you?
It didn't seem right to me.
And here's how you know that Trump is the most gangster candidate ever.
They asked him how he knows the system is rigged and he said, because I take advantage of it.
He may as well have flashed his membership card for the Illuminati right there.
Seriously, this is one of the things I like about Trump, and one of the things they can't really attack him on very well, is the fact that he's just saying, look, I do all of the things that their friends do.
He said this from the start as well.
He's always been pulling back the curtain and they can't stand it.
So they go for character rather than the things he's actually displaying.
But Chappelle said he didn't feel good about voting for Clinton.
She's going to be on a coin Sunday and her behaviour has certainly not been coinworthy.
She's not right and we all know it.
And we do.
Everyone knows it.
There isn't a single person saying no, Clinton is a morally upright and highly ethical candidate.
To finish up this week's episode, let's go back to university.
Professor who tweeted against PC culture is out at NYU.
An NYU professor crusading against political correctness and student coddling was booted from the classroom last week after his colleagues complained about his incivility.
The post has learned.
Liberal studies professor Michael Rechtenwald57 said he was forced Wednesday to go on paid leave for the rest of the semester.
I love the Orwellian use of the term incivility.
How him campaigning against their dogma and against their political ideology is now an uncivil thing to do.
How dare you, sir?
He says they are actually pushing me out of the door for having a different perspective.
Rectonwald launched an undercover Twitter account called Deplorable NYU Prof on the 12th of September to argue against campus trends like safe spaces, trigger warnings, policing Halloween costumes and other aspects of academia's growing PC culture.
He chose to be anonymous, but he explained in one of his first tweets because he was afraid the PC Gestapo would ruin me.
Which they fucking will make.
They will do everything in their power to ruin you.
And this is why it's really important that we support these professors.
If he put his name to his conservative ideas on the famously liberal campus, there is nothing liberal about this.
This is, as Jordan Peterson describes, a neo-Marxist group of people who have taken over.
And I will go into that in a minute, actually.
Let's carry on with this.
He says, I remember on my Facebook, I posted a story about a kid who changed his pronoun to his Majesty because he thought he was funny.
Then I got viciously attacked by 400 people.
I grew tired of it, so I made the account.
I see, so he is full-on 100% shitlord.
Glad to hear it.
He says, my contention is that trigger warning, safe spaces, and bias hotline reporting is not politically correct.
It is insane.
Well, I'm really glad to see professors who are actually on side with this.
I love this though.
He began getting dirty looks in his department, and on Wednesday he figured out why.
A 12-person committee calling itself the Liberal Studies Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion Working Group, including two deans, published a letter to the editor in the same paper, presumably about him.
As long as he airs his views with so little appeal to evidence and civility, oh, sorry, we're talking evidence now, are we?
The people who think that there is no biological basis for sex are going to talk to us about evidence.
Are they?
Right, okay.
But as long as he does this, we must find him guilty of illogic and incivility in a community that predicates his work in a great part on rational thoughts and the civil exchange of ideas.
You can fuck yourselves.
You unbelievably just liars.
Just fucking liars and hypocrites have taken over our universities.
Just anti-science bullshit artists have taken over.
This is incredible.
I have just holy shit.
I honestly thought there would be a point where this sort of stuff would stop pissing me off.
I would see enough of it to be like, no, this can't possibly be the case.
And people always ask me, why do you argue with people who've got like no followers on Twitter?
And I tell you what, I argue with these people because these are the normal real people.
Okay?
These are like your average fucking person.
These are not people who've been squirreled away in academia in the rivalry towers for, you know, 20 years, becoming more and more detached from what like reality is to most people.
And I don't want to be like that.
I don't want to become detached and remote and ridiculous.
You know, I don't want to disappear at my own asshole like these people.
And so I have to talk to the regular people to make sure I retain a sense of perspective, which these people have self-evidently completely lost.
Listen to this.
We seek to create a dynamic community that values full participation.
Such efforts are not the destruction of academic integrity, Professor Rector Moore suggests, but rather they make what's possible our program's approach to global studies.
That's insane.
I mean, this really strikes me as the same sort of methodology as the life force cult that Dr. Arthur Diepman talks about in The Wrong Way Home.
I've done a video on it and I do honestly recommend watching it because it's creepy.
It's really creepy how they look like they're trying to create this kind of closed environment where everyone is emotionally dependent on everyone else.
And so the idea of revolting or rebelling or leaving this environment becomes an emotional block.
It becomes a hang-up.
It becomes something they themselves can't bring themselves to do because their entire lives depend on this closed community.
And I honestly think that liberal institutions, quote-unquote, liberal institutions like academia are going down this path, and I really think they are developing a cult-like mentality.
A part of this is assigning special names or designations to each other to make sure that you can differentiate very easily between who is inside the cult and who is not inside the cult.
So when a teachers union official says, call students comrade instead of boys or girls, that's a big red flag.
A new guide released to teachers in Canada outlines the way that teachers can make their classrooms more inclusive.
In one such proposal, it is suggested that students be referred to as comrades instead of boys and girls.
A second idea encourages drag shows that kids can study the performance of gender.
Now, I'm going to stop here because this is just look it.
This has got to stop.
This has gone too fucking far, right?
For a start, calling each other comrade is literally what they did in the Soviet Union.
Because and it was to eradicate the differences between genders in the Soviet Union.
So, if that's the road that Canada wants to go down, that's their choice.
I have got no power to stop them or anything like that, but I can only advocate directly against this and recommend that everyone vocally does so in real life.
