Total War: Warhammer Leaked

Time Text
So you might not remember that two years ago Creative Assembly partnered with Games Workshop so that they could use the license to create a Warhammer Total War game.
And given that this was announced two years ago, they say things like, this first Warhammer game joins the eagerly awaited Total War Rome 2.
And if you've been living under a rock for the past two years, Rome 2 was regarded as a complete fucking failure by every Total War fan I have ever met.
Why?
Well, simple.
They tried to quote unquote streamline the game to attract a wider audience.
And the debacle that was Rome 2 puts us in full context for Total War Warhammer.
I won't stress that this was an accidental leak, so we don't really have any further information as of yet.
And we've known this has been coming for a while.
But after Rome 2, I just really, really want Creative Assembly to sit back and think for a minute.
Do you need to try and attract a large audience?
Do you need to do anything other than produce a good total war game?
Don't listen to the corporate moneymen who are sitting there saying, well, if we do this, then we have a chance of attracting this demographic and that demographic.
This particular thing is hip with teenage boys between 12 and 18, and this appeals to teenage girls between 15 and 17.
None of that shit matters.
Please, Creative Assembly, I beg you.
Don't look at numbers, don't look at demographics, don't look at statistics.
Look at the gamers.
Look at what makes them play your games.
Give them what they want.
Make a good Total War Warhammer.
You don't know how many people who play Total War have been dreaming for a Warhammer Total War.
You just have no idea.
Don't worry about trying to be popular.
Worry about trying to be good.
The memory of Rome 2 is so fresh in people's minds and everyone is still so pissed off about it.
People play Total War games because of the scale, the depth, the complexity and the strategies.
They didn't play it because it was streamlined.
They didn't play it because it had mass appeal.
They played them because they were fucking good.
Go back to making them fucking good and don't worry about the sales.
You are making Total War Warhammer.
