Stopping Ballot Messing Efforts 00:03:20
marc elias
Sounding the alarm about the risks that Donald Trump faced to democracy since I was the general counsel to Hillary Clinton's campaign.
You and I did a lot of television sounding the alarm before the 2020 election and what we saw afterwards.
And I am here to sound a larger and louder alarm today than I ever have before.
I mean, the fact is that Donald Trump has proven himself desperate.
As you point out, the redistricting has not worked out the way he wished.
I'm proud that my law firm represented the Democratic Party in defeating the Republican effort that just we just won in the Supreme Court.
But the fact is that when that didn't work out, he then went to Plan B.
And Plan B is what we are seeing.
It is political prosecutions.
It is the threats of more political prosecutions.
It is the dry running of how one seizes ballots.
Yes, he's interested in 2020, but he's really interested in setting up the mechanism to be able to seize ballots in 2026.
He has found a prosecutor in Missouri, not in Georgia, in Missouri, seizing ballots in Georgia.
That prosecutor in Missouri apparently has nationwide jurisdiction, so he has found a willing prosecutor to do these things.
norm eisen
Record is in court after court and tribunal after tribunal that nothing untoward happened in Fulton County.
So that's been established again and again, litigated extensively and definitively established.
And then in terms of protecting the election, since the beginning of Donald Trump's pivot to full-on authoritarianism, which came after he lost the 2020 election and then challenged those results, not just in Georgia, but all over the country, in six states all over the country.
The democracy movement and the civil rights movement has been fully deployed and has been successful in court, stopping efforts to delegitimize election outcomes.
I was a part representing states, pro bono, of many of those 63 cases that Donald Trump lost in the aftermath of the 2020 election.
My organizations, Democracy Defenders Fund and Democracy Defenders Action, were in every place where there was an election in 2025, Eugene.
And in none of those, we had DOJ observers and others.
In none of those places, there was little blip in New Jersey.
We went to court.
We got an order election day stopping an effort to mess with the polls there.
So it's been unsuccessful.
And there are literally hundreds of groups around the country that are ready to protect the election in 26.
maria salazar
But don't touch the nannies or the gardeners or the ones who are picking up the jalapeno peppers or the oranges or the berries or the ones in the dairy houses.
Come on.
Those people are helping us eat better, cheaper homes, cheaper vegetables, and better fruits.
So those are the ones that we are trying to give a dignified status.
Don't Touch the Nannies 00:10:49
steve bannon
This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
Pray for our enemies because we're going medieval on these people.
Here's the time I got a free shot all these networks lying about the people.
The people have had a belly full of it.
I know you don't like hearing that.
I know you're trying to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it.
It's going to happen.
jake tapper
And where do people like that go to share the big line?
MAGA media.
I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
steve bannon
Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
If that answer is to save my country, this country will be safe.

You're in the war room.
It's Thursday, February 5th in the year of our Lord 2026.
Quite the explosive cold open.
You know, you've hit a nerve when you got Mark Elias and Normizen going both on MS Now or whatever the clownish name they have for that failing network is to basically cry about what Steve Bannon has said, which if you distill it down into what it really is about, it is that only citizens should be able to vote in U.S. elections.
Not a conspiracy theory.
That's not radical.
You can't put America first if you can't even ensure that it's only Americans who are voting in elections.
It's really quite a tell.
Now, the Democratic Governors Association, of course, they love to, you know, crisis act.
Maybe they should rename their thing to the Democratic Grifters Association, put out this long-form statement, of course, talking about how President Trump is setting out to rig the 2026 midterms.
And you sort of saw it with what Norm Eisen and Mark Elias of, you know, stealing all elections ever, not just here, but also internationally, fame.
I don't know about you guys.
I think I'm old enough to remember.
I thought elections couldn't be stolen, right?
Didn't these people tell us that elections were super safe and super secure?
And now all of a sudden, these paper tigers fold because of a few threats about a couple of ICE agents enforcing that everybody who's voting is actually a citizen?
That doesn't sound like you have a lot of confidence in the system that you are supposedly so sure that it was free and fair that you staked your entire reputations and careers and livelihoods and frankly, probably billion, if not at least $100 million checks from all of the dark money groups that prop up your lawfare organizations.
But no, apparently now all of a sudden, because we're going to put ICE agents at the polls, suddenly, oh no, we're stealing elections.
Now, it's sort of, I put it through the lens of, you know, what the Chinese Communist Party did with COVID, right?
They basically hide all the evidence and then they say, well, you can't prove that we did it.
Well, I would think that sunlight is the best disinfectant.
I mean, what?
We've only been lectured by these freaks, these people for what feels like decades.
I guess it's only been a few years about how we are so skeptical of elections and how we're all conspiracy theorists and how all we do is spread misinformation.
Well, then these should be the people who are calling for audits of election results, calling to have people at the polls, ensuring that it's only citizens voting.
Let's audit these voter rolls.
Well, the issue is when that happens, like what we see happening right now in Georgia, you see complete and utter apoplexy from all of the people who said that we were crazy for calling for investigations about what went on in Fulton County.
You know, they're just scared of what they're going to uncover there.
So that's, of course, why they're melting down.
I don't think they're sleeping too well.
Our hearts, I don't know if we're losing sleep over you, Normizen, anymore.
But to this point of election stealing, I want to bring it to that second or I guess the third clip that we played.
It's hard sometimes you confuse Normizen and Mark Elias since they're basically cut from the same grifter democracy destroying Saul Alinskyite cloth.
But that's Maria Salazar.
You probably would think that she's a Democrat because she is so boldly proclaiming her infatuation with open borders, illegal aliens, and legal immigrants.
I guess at this rate, maybe we should just make every person on the planet an American.
Then maybe finally neocons would be satisfied, though probably not.
But that's actually a Republican.
That's Maria Salazar.
She's like the gift that keeps on giving.
She won't go away.
It seems like every congressional cycle, she feels the need to introduce more and more radical legislation whose sole purpose is to destroy the United States of America demographically from a national security perspective, certainly from an immigration perspective.
This time we got a resurfaced call for the Dignity Act.
We also had the one and only Mike Lawler from the great state of New York making the rounds.
I believe he was on Fox and CNN earlier today saying that we need to push for this legislation.
This is our way out of the Minnesota debacle.
And here's what's so radical about this legislation.
Basically, every illegal alien who has entered the United States post-2021 would just get to stay here.
They would get that much beloved and talked about pathway to citizenship because I guess they were smart enough to come into the country when Joe Biden, remember, I was going to say held the floodgates open, but no, they permanently welded those open so we could get the maximum amount of illegals possible in.
So all of those people would just get to stay here because I don't know, Maria Salazar can't give an answer other than because apparently they're the people who are picking your peppers and doing your chores.
Well, Maria Salazar, I would like to inform you that you sort of created the problem that you're actually setting out to fix.
And that is that you, she's a very wealthy woman, and your elite friends are the only people who can afford the help that you import and then you pay cheap wages.
You've hollowed out industries like American manufacturing, every factory ever.
You ship those over to China.
You made the wages for agricultural work so depressed and so low that Americans realistically won't do it.
And now you want to sit on the House floor and basically give yourself a pat on the back for creating an economic reality that necessitates you importing mass amounts of foreign cheap slave labor.
I mean, screw you.
I am so sick and tired of this revisionist history that the establishment Republicans want to throw and shove down our throats that what we voted for in 2024 was anything less than complete and utter mass deportations.
There were no asterisks on the deportations.
The signs that people held up said mass deportations, not the worst of the worst, not criminals.
All of them, at least 20 million, probably 30 million, even those of you who say 65 million, I probably agree with you.
Right?
Immigration policy for MAGA is, always has been, and always will be about scale, not these one-off cases.
That's what Build the Wall is about.
It was treating immigration as a sovereignty problem, not an optics or perception management problem that these weak people like Maria Salazar and frankly every other Republican president ever are so scared to actually hold the line on.
It's absolutely disgusting to see these calls for softening our approach on immigration to only the criminals.
And then realistically, they're probably going to give a pathway to citizenship to these people anyways because they're so obsessed with the cheap labor.
This is exactly what the Republican Party did in 2013 after Mitt Romney's loss, where they exploited it to say the path forward for the Republican Party to win elections is to go soft on immigration.
It's comprehensive immigration reform.
You've heard that before, right?
Well, worst of the worst and only the criminals is the new version of that.
We should be doubling down.
We should not just be going after the illegal aliens themselves.
We need to be going after Secretary Maorkis.
The fact that not a single person from the Biden DHS has been indicted, let alone thoroughly investigated, deposed, subpoenaed, had to testify, is beyond absurd.
What about the NGOs, all these big businesses?
Go after the companies that are employing these people.
How can we put America first if we cannot even define what it means to be an American?
And apparently now the only definition for people like Maria Salazar, of course, Democrats, is that you get to be an American so long as you weren't, what, a third degree felon who murdered eight people, then fine, maybe we'll fly you to Somalia.
Then you're probably just going to come back on a refugee visa and get a bunch of government handouts anyways, under the next Democrat president.
But it's absolutely disgusting to be told that our concerns as to why we want to mass deport all of the illegal aliens are only allowed to be permitted are only okay if it's criminals.
Because you know what?
We are all victims of illegal immigration.
You don't have to just be a victim of illegal immigration because they killed your kid or they killed your father or they killed your grandmother.
All of those, there are plenty of cases to go off.
But it is an injustice to this audience, to all of the American people who have seen their culture, their economy, I mean, their neighborhoods, the safety of their children degraded because we've imported so many people from backwards third world countries that to their core hate this country.
So I guess no wonder why the Democrat Party loves them and why they're so apoplectic over enforcing ICE agents or enforcing citizenship verification when it comes to voting.
I mean, I've been told we're instituting Jim Crow 2.0 by asking for voter ID laws.
I don't think that's all that radical.
If it were up to me, we'd go after mail-in balloting, ballot harvesting.
We do even more investigations.
We're going after Georgia.
We should be going after Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania.
Concerning Trends in Washington 00:11:19
natalie winters
How about that one?
Really give them something to freak out about.
And like I said, we should be going after all of certainly the leadership, but everybody who worked at DHS under Biden and let this happen.
That's how you ensure that this doesn't happen again.
You don't let these people get off scot-free, make millions at their new cushy consulting gigs.
It's disgusting and shame on Maria Salazar and these rhinos who think they can shove mass amnesty down our throat for what feels like the hundredth time.
We don't want you guys.
We certainly don't want illegal aliens and we don't want to make them citizens, please.
Listen to yourselves.
I'm fired up on this Thursday afternoon.
We got some news breaking out of Washington that we're going to get into after this short break.

Welcome back to the war room.
Honored to be joined by someone from the West Coast.
I'm NBS.
I know it's probably cold there.
It's really cold here in DC from Washington.
The wonderful Matt Brown.
You're the chair of Yakima GOP.
I believe you're also the mayor there.
unidentified
You've been promoted.
natalie winters
Congratulations.
But I wanted to have you on because I think there's really some concerning trend lines with what Washington state is doing to punish ICE agents that I could see replicating across the broader country, trying to strip them of the ability to work in any future jobs in law enforcement, banning them from wearing masks, some really radical stuff, all the while pushing, I think, illegal aliens into these jobs.
I know we say the great replacement theory is a hoax, but it seems pretty real.
Walk us through some of the unique tactics that Washington state Democrats, I'm sure aided and abetted by Republicans too, are using to make ICE's life a living hell.
matt brown [wagop]
So, you know, right now we're in session in Olympia, and I always tell our folks here in Washington when Olympia is in session, just hold your hats on because it's going to get rough.
And so right now they've got a bill.
It actually didn't make it out of committee, luckily, yet, but doesn't mean it's dead forever, which is HB 2641.
And it was proposed by Representative Simmons.
And it basically says that they don't want ICE agents to work for any sort of be able to work for any sort of law enforcement in Washington state.
So state patrol, local municipalities, sheriff's departments, any of them.
Now, luckily, it didn't make it out of committee yet.
It doesn't mean it won't in the future, but because with all things in Olympia, it doesn't ever die.
But the one thing that's interesting, I would like to tell with viewers with this bill is that Tara Simmons is a former felon who actually presented the bill.
And so you've got a felon who is presenting the bill to keep ICE agents.
And the reason why she said is, well, if they, if this is a judge of character on the ICE agents in this moment, if they're wanting to work in law enforcement right now and they're a current ICE agent and not doing this, then they should not be allowed to be in law enforcement.
And I just think it was comical that it was coming from her.
And this isn't the first bill that old Tara Simmons has put forward.
There's other bills as well that are actually, you know, when I said stuff doesn't die in Olympia.
Last year, there was a bill, Senate Bill 5068, that we thought we had killed, but it was actually allowing visa card holders to be law enforcement.
So allowing local sheriff's departments, municipalities, and state patrol to actually hire folks that are carrying visas to be law enforcement.
So not only are we prohibiting ICE on that front, but now we want to just allow anyone to be a law enforcement and take away our constitutional rights for whatever they deem necessary.
And then the last one that's been kicking up a lot of storm, we have a sheriff here in Pierce County.
His name's Keith Swank.
Gotten a lot of pushback, actually, even from our own sheriffs association, which is they would like to decertify sheriffs in Washington state if they don't abide by what Olympia is telling them they need to do.
And Sheriff Swank went in and just basically roasted them because he said, you know, most of you as representatives probably couldn't even pass a couldn't even pass a background check yourself.
And you're wanting to decertify sheriffs because you don't believe in what they believe.
And so it's a very interesting time to be in Washington.
We've got a lot of stuff going on.
And, you know, we're hanging on by our bootstraps right now.
natalie winters
Walk us through a little bit of the opposition.
Obviously, you know, Minnesota has been front and center of the organized protests, but I've seen clips of some pretty wild stuff going down in Washington too.
What's the vibe on the ground there when it comes to these left-wing groups mobilizing or protesting?
matt brown [wagop]
Oh, man, they are mobilizing in mass right now.
I mean, it's been kind of, you know, I'm sorry if you're hearing a bunch of jets taking off.
I just literally, right now, as I'm sitting here at my office, which is at the airport, two looks like two F-22s are getting ready to take off from here.
It's kind of wild.
Anyways, but needless to say, they have been mobilizing and organizing in all forms across the state in local government.
They have been showing up to school board meetings, showing up to city council meetings in mass.
And it's been quite interesting to kind of watch how they're mobilizing.
A lot of the folks that, as I've been, our team has been tracking some of them.
They're not even from Washington State.
A lot of the folks are being organized are coming out of Portland or Seattle.
So I guess they're in Washington State, but Portland is not.
And so they're kind of mobilizing and moving people around.
And so it's very interesting to kind of watch, you know, almost a mobilization going on in Washington State at that level.
That, you know, in previous years, if, you know, conservatives were doing this, we were, you know, targeted by Homeland Security as being domestic terrorists and, you know, just being able to show up to a school board meeting.
And so it's very, very interesting times in Washington State.
And they're showing up in, you know, mass.
I mean, it's, I mean, they had a movie event the other night where they had close to a thousand people show up to their event.
I mean, that's, and that's in some of our most red counties in Washington State.
So a little concerning.
natalie winters
You're very involved with the grassroots situation out there in Washington.
I remember, got to tell the audience, the number of doors that you have collectively helped knock with your county GOP is truly insane.
It's staggering.
But what is the vibe on the ground when you talk to President Trump's voters, the MAGA coalition, about the immigration enforcement stuff, particularly this sort of reframe of mass deportations to be only going after the criminals?
Is that something that you think the base wants?
Or is there an appetite to go after all 20, 30, 40, 50 million of them?
matt brown [wagop]
I mean, I think, I mean, living in Yakima County, where we have a predominantly Hispanic population, it's kind of always mixed a little bit when it comes to how this is portraying out.
However, I have had recently a lot of pushback saying, you know, we want more immigration enforcement.
We want more of that to take place.
Actually, even at my city council meeting last night was, or yeah, two nights ago was I had two gentlemen come up to me and say, we need more of this, not less of this.
And, you know, so I think there is appetite for that.
I also think that, you know, I would say the base is getting growing tired of Republicans at the national level not passing President Trump's agenda.
They're not passing the SAVE Act.
They're not passing any of the things that are his, you know, executive orders into law.
And that is, you know, people are growing tired of this form of Republican Party.
If you're not, if you're just going to show up and not do something, that's get out of the way, get out of office, resign, move on.
We're done dealing with this.
We do not have time to continuously just sit here and pacify you because you're weak.
natalie winters
And Matt, just one more time on the election integrity front, the SAVE Act, is that something that you feel the grassroots really supports and wants to see passed?
matt brown [wagop]
Yes, actually, we ran an initiative this last year to try to get a voter ID on the ballot.
And, you know, we came up just short.
Scott Pressler came out.
We were just a little bit short.
We're actually working on redoing that right now so that we can still get it on the November ballot this year.
However, the amount of signatures that we had and the amount of Democrats that we actually had sign this was actually kind of shocking to me.
And when I started to see that come in, I went, you know, this issue actually might be more like an 80-20 issue.
I didn't realize it was that high.
And then the more people that I've talked to, the more polling that keeps coming out, I'm going, this, everyone wants a secure election.
You cannot have a safe country.
You cannot have a country that is having elections that are not safe.
And this seems like a no-brainer to me.
I don't understand why, you know, the senator leader Thune and those guys cannot get on the page with this, like get this thing done.
This is a no-brainer and the base wants it.
And, you know, and they are mobilizing to remove some of these folks that are not going to pass this agenda.
We're not putting up with this anymore.
natalie winters
Indeed, we are not.
Texas Lawsuit Against Muslim Organization 00:08:28
natalie winters

Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
natalie winters
Welcome back to The War Room.
Now, no shade to our friends who live in the state of Washington, but you sort of come to expect, right, the radical policy, certainly from the West Coast.
I'm a California refugee, so I get to say that.
But it makes me quite sad and angry that the next guest we're about to have on, I feel like I have now just come to expect just massive amounts of Islamic and Muslim infiltration in the beautiful great state of Texas.
Luckily, they have a wonderful slate of elected officials from the state level, even to the federal level, who are actually pushing back.
Of course, we've been highlighting the Sharia Free America Caucus.
Steve has been spending a lot of time there.
But it really is wild, the subversion at the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood we're seeing going on in that state.
But I want to bring on Attorney General Ken Paxton, who is fighting back as hard as he can.
You announced a new lawsuit today against CARE, the Council for American Islamic Relations, and the Muslim Brotherhood kind of declaring them as foreign terrorist organizations in some capacity.
Can you walk us through your new lawsuit?
ken paxton
Yeah, well, thanks for having me on.
Obviously, an important issue to our state and really our whole country, Texas, is doing what it can.
And so we sue CARE and several of their affiliates, CARE, Austin Care, Texas Care, in the United States, and we sued them for three main violations.
One is we have a ban on entities engaging in terrorism, and we think they are a foreign terrorist organization, and they're affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, and they are obviously a terrorist organization affiliated with Hamas.
Second, we have a prohibition on transnational criminal organizations owning property.
So if we're defining them as a criminal organization, which we believe they are, they can't own property.
And then we have public nuisance statutes barring terrorist groups from engaging in gang activities, which we think they're involved in.
So those are the three challenges.
Those are the three things that we sued CARE over.
natalie winters
And you've been doing some other great work against EPIC City, all that stuff.
I'm sure the audience is very familiar.
It's very concerning.
But walk us through where we sort of stand on that front and how you think this lawsuit will be similar or what timeframe people can sort of expect to see results or the outcome.
ken paxton
So EPIC's a very different lawsuit.
It's a community that actually is not far from where I've had a home for decades.
And it's a group that's organizing around being Muslim.
And they are, we think that they have violated state and federal securities laws in putting their group together.
And we are, in the meantime, investigating them for potential other violations.
So it's really more about following our laws.
I'm fine with Muslims worshiping however they want.
But when you cross the line and start pushing Sharia law or you don't follow our laws, then I've got a problem with any group.
And that includes this group.
natalie winters
And you've also been taking the fight to the H-1B visa front.
You're really hitting all issues that this audience cares about.
It's great to see.
Walk us through what you've been doing on that front, too.
ken paxton
Well, obviously, that's a federal program.
They control it.
However, we have discovered three companies in Texas that we think are basically running a scam.
They're not really helping people.
They're not really following the rules.
Of course, H-1 visas have many problems in and of themselves, and that there are lots of Americans that could potentially be taking some of these jobs.
This program was designed for specialty jobs that we didn't have enough of America.
And if that were actually happening and these people are being vetted better, I don't think people would have as much of a problem with this program.
But it's gotten out of control.
And certainly when you've got all these companies that are lying to consumers and lying to people about what they can do for them, then now we've got a problem in the state of Texas that we can address, which is consumer fraud.
natalie winters
Last question for you.
There's been a lot of pushback I've seen in sort of the left-wing media, also the global jihadist fronts that just are obsessed with Islam.
And I'm not just talking about apparently Western feminists, but this idea that the new right-wing boogeyman, especially in Texas, is Islam and that we're just, I don't know, maniacally obsessed with it for some reason.
I don't know why.
Maybe look at the history or the clash of civilizations.
But that aside, they're sort of intimating that there is no there there.
In other words, you know, we're chasing ghosts.
The threat that we're going after isn't real.
And in your experience, having been around Texas, you're from there, is this something that has gotten worse in recent times due to the mass migration?
Is this a homegrown radicalism problem?
What exactly is making this issue flare up right now?
ken paxton
I think it's, you know, we have a history now of watching what's happened in Europe.
And again, I don't think Texans have trouble with people worshiping the way they want or having their own particular religion.
That's been fundamental to our Constitution or First Amendment rights.
It's when you start pushing a different set of laws than following our U.S. Constitution or following our federal and state laws, and you have your own set of laws.
And certainly that's occurring in Europe and it's occurring in certain parts of our country.
And I think when it's kind of flaring up here, people are worried that that's what's happening in Texas.
And unlike Michigan, I don't think Texans are going to want to put up with that.
They don't mind immigrants from all over the world.
What we do mind is we mind that people don't want to follow our laws and they want to create their own laws.
That is unacceptable.
And if you're Muslim or you're not Muslim, you should be under our Constitution, under our federal laws, under our state laws, and not have your own system of law, whatever it is.
natalie winters
AG Paxon, thank you so much for joining us and thank you for these wonderful lawsuits.
If the Warren Posse wants to follow you, stay up to date with everything you guys are doing in the great state of Texas, support you, where can they go to do that?
ken paxton
Well, thank you for having me on.
It's kenpaxon.com.
We certainly need help as I run for U.S. Senate.
And then at KenPaxon TX is our Facebook and Twitter handle.
natalie winters
Thank you, sir, for joining us.
We'll have you back on soon.
unidentified
All right.
ken paxton
Have a great day.
unidentified
Thanks.
natalie winters
Thank you.
Warren Posse, we are going to pivot to, you guys know, well, maybe second to immigration today.
My favorite thing to talk about that is the Chinese Communist Party and their quest for global hegemony, whereby they are aided and abetted by the West.
We've seen the full kowtows on display these last few weeks from Canada to the UK.
Uk's Chagos Deal With Mauritius 00:14:08
natalie winters
It's embarrassing.
It's horrible.
But it's, as I've been told by Mark Carney, it's the new world order.
So buckle up.
But there's been some huge developments.
I want to bring on Cleo Pascal, who has done wonderful work with everything going on in CNMI, Diego Garcia, the Chagos, everything.
You've just been doing wonderful work.
I really admire your dedication and courage on this issue.
But it seems like President Trump has weighed in on one of these very important and significant geopolitical events for the fate not just of the UK, but the United States, I would argue.
Walk us through his comments today and in general, that region, what you think our audience needs to be paying attention to.
cleo paskal
Thank you very much, Natalie.
And just to reciprocate a little bit, your sub stack has been on fire.
So thank you very much for the reporting you've been doing on China.
It's been helping to shape understanding of what's going on globally.
Very helpful.
So we have a situation where one of the most critical U.S. military bases in the world is on an island called Diagorcia in the southern Indian Ocean.
So this is the base where the B-2 bombers can take off from if they're heading, oh, for example, say the Middle East.
You can reload the nuclear submarines.
You can port an aircraft carrier.
It's an island in an archipelago of islands called the Chagos Islands.
And that whole Chagos Islands region, Chagos Archipelago, belongs to the United Kingdom.
Inexplicably, as per President Trump's Truth Social post from a short while ago, a few weeks ago, was saying that inexplicably, the UK has decided to give the entire Chagos Archipelago to Mauritius and to lease back just Diego Garcia.
Now, the Brits have been arguing that they need to do this as per international law, but the only international law that they can quote is a non-binding finding from the ICJ, a few other minor things.
None of them are binding.
And the argument is that the Chagossians, the people who lived on those islands, were forcibly expelled by the British in the late 60s and early 70s to build the base.
The Chagosians themselves, some of whom are Mauritius, some in the Seychelles, but a lot are in the UK, are so opposed to being handed over to Mauritius, with whom they have very little in common.
It's not the same language or culture or ethnicity, that they formed a government in exile and have directly appealed to President Trump, saying, please stop this deal and we'll name an island after you.
They are petrified of losing any further claim they might have to their homeland.
So the moral argument, which is what the British started out with, makes no sense.
The Chagossians have pushed back against it.
Regardless, they're pushing through.
And the concern is that they hand the base over to Mauritius and then they lease back just the base and they have to pay billions of pounds or billions of dollars over 99 years.
And if they miss one lease payment, the Mauritians can terminate the lease.
Now, we know how close the Mauritians are to China, and we know how the British may not be able to pay their bills for 99 years, which would leave the U.S. high and dry.
Today, President Trump put out a Truth Social implying that he was being told that this was the best deal the British could get.
That is bad advice.
The President is not getting accurate information.
There was no need for this deal in the first place.
Even if you just go by the international community, the UN itself has come out against this deal because of how bad it is for the Chagossians.
So I don't know who's advising him, but I do know that the minute the lease goes through, the UK washes its hands of many aspects of this and puts the base in jeopardy.
First of all, they're just leasing back Diego, so the entire buffer zone around the base, the rest of the Chagos Islands, can be leased to Chinese entities.
Chinese so-called fishing fleets can come close to the island.
There's a nuclear-free zone treaty that Mauritius has signed, which could basically mean that through Mauritius, nuclear inspectors from Africa, including potentially South Africa, which is also close to China, could ask to come onto the base to take a look, which would again, the U.S. would, I think, would probably say no, but then would isolate the U.S. even more.
It's hard to see how this isn't designed to increasingly isolate the U.S.
And the President says that he will defend the base no matter what, but there may be different presidents over the next 99 years who feel differently.
So the U.S. is really being put in a position by the UK, and we saw what Prime Minister Starmer looked like when he visited China just not that long ago, in a position where one of the most critical strategic assets the U.S. has is going to be put at risk by the UK to the benefit of China for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
natalie winters
Who do you think could possibly be telling President Trump to support this?
Do you think this is something that there's just so many things going on?
You know, maybe it's not a priority.
I would push back on that.
Or I know you've tracked the kind of somehow CCP infiltration, even of this administration, on certain issues in the region.
Do you think it could be something like that?
cleo paskal
I don't know.
I don't know what's happening on the U.S. side.
I think President Trump has the benefit, gives sometimes other leaders the benefit of the doubt.
And he prefaces his Truth Social by saying he just spoke to Prime Minister Starmer.
And he has a fondness for the UK.
His grandmother, mothers from there.
And it's very difficult, in spite of what the National Security Strategy says about Europe, it might be difficult to think that a Five Eyes partner is perpetrating such a level of betrayal.
But we really need to think about it.
In your introduction, you mentioned Canada as well.
The allies are not necessarily the allies that they used to be.
And this, I think, is probably just the beginning of a process of taking a hard look at how traditional Western allies are going to potentially compromise the U.S.'s security all around the world.
Because, of course, the UK isn't just the UK.
It has these possessions elsewhere, although it's giving them up now, and it looks like to Mauritius instead of, for example, to the U.S. France is the same way.
It has possessions in the Indian Ocean and in the UK.
natalie winters
Cleo, we've got a jump to break.
I want to hold you so we can pick up where you left off and look at some other countries that you've been doing some wonderful work.
And we'll be right back after this short break.

War Room.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
natalie winters
Do you want the full story of how America's financial system was hijacked by the Fed, by Congress, by the globalist elite?
You can't buy this anywhere, not in stores, not on Amazon.
It's exclusive to Birch Gold.
And unlike the previous edition, this is printed, physical, finite.
We thought the first run would last weeks.
It didn't, so we approved one more run.
Because this is so rare, it's still limited to only warm listeners who make a purchase from Birch Gold, but only if you do it by the new deadline of February 27th.
To claim eligibility, text Bannons in 989898.
That's Bannons in 989898.
You'll also get Birch Gold's free gold IRA InfoKit.

Don't wait.
natalie winters
These copies will disappear fast.
Text Bannons in 989898 right now to claim your eligibility.
Get yours before they're gone.
Welcome back to the war room.
We're still with Cleo Pascal, who does such wonderful work on the Chinese Communist Party.
Firsthand, I was reading that article you sent me.
You spent several days on the deck of a Chinese vessel.
You're going to have to walk the audience through that.
But pick up where you left off and then let us know about what is going on in Micronesia with the CCP building, you know, no conspiracies, no coincidences, but dual use.
I guess in this case, it's not even dual use.
It's just straight up military infrastructure in these kind of island territories around the world.
cleo paskal
Thank you.
So just to finish off with the Chagos deal, it is, as Senator Kennedy recently said, he has rocks in his driveway that are smarter than this deal.
So I don't know how it's even gotten this far.
The UK, the House of Lords, oddly enough, has been doing their best to stall it.
There's questions about whether Prime Minister Starmer is going to last much longer.
He is close friends with the person who negotiated the deal on the Mauritian side, raising all sorts of conflict of interest questions.
So hopefully this can at least be stalled, if not killed, for long enough for the president to understand truly what's going on and how people are trying to play him.
And I think once he actually understands what's going on, there will be no question that this deal will be dead.
The U.S. can kill it.
It has a pre-existing 1966 agreement with the UK.
The U.S. and the UK do, where The UK promised in that deal that they wouldn't give up the serenity over the whole Chagos Archipelago until 2036.
So, if they won't even stick by that deal, I don't know why anybody thinks they would stick by this new deal with Mauritius and not leave the U.S. high and dry.
natalie winters
And Micronesia?
cleo paskal
Yes.
natalie winters
Yeah, go ahead.
cleo paskal
Okay, so Microsoft, I'm just back from Yap.
Now, this is the U.S. front line, near the U.S. front line.
And I hope that War Room finally sends you to go out and visit those Americans in Guam and in the Commonwealth of Northern Marianas.
The U.S. shares a maritime boundary with Japan in the Commonwealth of Northern Marianas.
These are the islands of Saipan and Tinian.
And Peter Schweitzer mentions them in his most recent book because it's a hotbed of birth tourism in Saipan.
And part of the reason is Chinese can still arrive without a visa, without any visa at all on U.S. soil in the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands.
We've still inexplicable.
I don't know why that loophole hasn't been closed.
This is completely in the purview of the Department of Homeland Security.
Secretary Noam could close it in a minute.
And I think there are a lot of members of Congress who wish he would.
So that's an unaccomplished goal, I think, of the war room, is to make sure that any Chinese coming into the United States of America, anywhere it is, has a visa.
Near that, if you go a little bit further to the south of Guam, you have the Federated States of Micronesia.
Now, that's an independent country, but it is a compact of free association with the U.S.
So many Americans died in this region during World War II, places like Peleliu in nearby Palau, in Truck Lagoon, where the Imperial Japanese fleet was destroyed.
This is a place that many, many American presidents realized was so important.
You had to have a special relationship with them in order to defend U.S. interests, because you can't get to the first island chain unless you can get through the center of the Pacific.
The center of the Pacific really is this geographical pivot of history.
Now, the U.S. has this agreement, which is Compact of Free Association.
Secretary Hegseth announced about $2 billion worth of military investment in Yap, the main island of Yap, and those negotiations are going on at this very moment.
But also at this very moment, in the next few days, in a different island in the state of Yap, a runway is going to be opened up that was built by the Chinese.
It's an old Imperial Japanese runway on the island of Woolley.
It's about 400 miles or so from Guam.
It's kind of inexplicable how this was allowed to happen.
The people of Woolleyi really needed a runway.
This could have been done by the Seabees.
It could have been done under the Compact.
But for some reason, the ball was dropped and you've got this Chinese runway opening up.
And there's going to be a massive opening ceremony.
People are, the Chinese contractors are coming in.
The president of the country is coming in.
And as it last stood, no Americans are going to be there for it.
What would be great is if there was a CAT team, like civil affairs team, Seabees team helping rebuild the high school, something to show that the Americans care, know where Woolleyai is, and the Chinese may come and go, but that runway is going to be used for good purpose.
For example, by Pacific Mission Aviation, which is the missionary airline that does free medevacs and things like that.
So far, the infrastructure is neutral, but unless the good guys claim it and use it for good things, it is yet another dot in that encircling noose that is potentially going to cut off Guam and CNMI and make it very difficult for those Americans to survive in the context of an attack on Taiwan.
natalie winters
Cleo, you do wonderful work.
If people want to follow you, stay up to date with everything you've got going on.
Where can they go to do that?
cleo paskal
Head over to X, just my name, Cleo Pascal, and I'll post there some information on Pacific Mission Aviation.
We mentioned it last time on the war room, and many of the posse went over and checked them out and supported them.
They're looking for pilots, mechanics, construction workers.
If you want to be on the front line of the battle for the soul of Micronesia, Pacific Mission Aviation is a very interesting organization to know about, and I'll put some more information on it up there soon.
natalie winters
