| The American people don't have to get behind Trump just because he picked up Maduro and now we're going to extort them for $2.5 billion, $3 billion of oil. | ||
| I want us to have a debate about that. | ||
| Do you realize how crazy this is? | ||
| We picked him up and now it's gangster diplomacy, right? | ||
| Pay us $2 or $3 billion and we will let your regime stay in place. | ||
| And for many, many years, and Senator Rubio, maybe he forgot what he used to say. | ||
| We talked about this dictatorship, and the dictatorship is still in place. | ||
| Every single person is there, so it's not regime change. | ||
| And now the president is just going to take a bribe so that we don't run the country that we don't do regime change. | ||
| And I want to suggest that this is not the way we should conduct our foreign policy abroad. | ||
| This does not serve the interests of the American people. | ||
| Even the president's comment, this is going to be for the American people and the Venezuelan people this money. | ||
| What does that mean? | ||
| How completely insane this idea is on so many levels. | ||
| First of all, there is no national security interest that we need to seize Greenland. | ||
| They have not made the case. | ||
| We can have as many soldiers there as we want. | ||
| We have bases there. | ||
| I worked in the government. | ||
| I know how we've used Greenland before. | ||
| We can do that through negotiation. | ||
| Second, they roll out minerals. | ||
| We can sign treaties. | ||
| We can sign agreements, contracts to get minerals. | ||
| There is no reason to go back to 19th century imperialism. | ||
| But third, to your point, Stephanie, not only would it blow up NATO, it would alienate the United States from the entire world, from the democratic world, the free world, the autocratic world. | ||
| And then we will empower countries like China. | ||
| Well, if they can take Greenland, of course we can take Taiwan. | ||
| Putin, well, there's no difference. | ||
| We're just like them. | ||
| I just think this is so insane and we need to call it out as insane. | ||
| January 6th was not just one day. | ||
| I think it was a strategy. | ||
| And if we are not laser focused and aware of what transpired in the lead up to what happened on that fateful day five years ago, then I shudder to think how flat-footed we will be caught months from now as it relates to the 2026 midterms or the next presidential election. | ||
| I think you're exactly right. | ||
| This isn't just a fight about the past. | ||
| It's a fight about the future. | ||
| And I think that two things are important here. | ||
| The first is by pardoning the January 6th rioters, the president did something very practical, which is that he empowered a group of people that were willing to be violent in his name, but would be literally put beyond the reach of the law. | ||
| You know, we now have over 1,500 people who have been told, if you are violent on Donald Trump's behalf, you won't just be prosecuted, you'll be rewarded. | ||
| So that's the first thing. | ||
| The second thing, and I think this gets to why Donald Trump has spent so much time trying to erase the history of January 6th. | ||
| It's not just the pardons, it's the fact that he appointed an election denier to be interim head of the DC U.S. Attorney's Office, that they're taking down materials about January 6th from the DOJ website, that they've appointed a literal rioter, Jared Weiss, to a DOJ job. | ||
| The reason that I think that they're doing this is if they can convince people to forget January 6th, or worse, consider it a form of legitimate political discourse. | ||
| If they can succeed in that, then any violence and attack on democracy will be from this country. | ||

And this against fraud. | |
| The performance audit shows the Behavioral Health Administration sent millions of dollars out the door in grants without making proper checks into who was receiving them. | ||
| And that is not even the most jaw-dropping finding. | ||
| Lou Ragoose has tonight's top story. | ||

| Julie, according to the nonpartisan legislative auditor, this is another case of mismanagement of taxpayer money. | ||
| But perhaps the most explosive revelation is that managers within DHS, the Department of Human Services, tried to cover their tracks by backdating and creating new documents. | ||
| I do want to talk about what a serious issue this is and how it is, frankly, unacceptable. | ||
| Another sobering report by the Office of the Legislative Auditor, this one, concerning the Behavioral Health Administration within the Department of Human Services, which issues grants to providers treating mental health and drug and alcohol addiction, hundreds of millions of dollars each year. | ||
| The audit found them issuing grants to applicants without a bidding process. | ||
| So, what we saw is that there were multiple entities that could have been eligible, and they chose not to provide a justification for why they were picking those. | ||
| This report is quite stunning. | ||
| One outrageous example: the auditors found a grantee that was paid $672,000 for one month of work without any info on what they do. | ||
| And the audit says the grant manager who paid it then left DHS a couple days later and became a paid consultant for that company. | ||
| To me, that's criminal. | ||
| Auditor Judy Randall says she was most shocked that during the audit, multiple DHS managers backdated or created new documents to try to cover their tracks. | ||
| Frankly, in the 27 plus years I've been with OLA, I have never seen this before. | ||
| I will say we have had suspicions periodically, but we have never been able to prove it, to document it, and we did in this case. | ||
| And it's very troubling. | ||
| Temporary DHS Commissioner Shireen Gandhi's response. | ||
| I was shocked to hear this information in the exit conference, and it is absolutely unacceptable that any staff would provide anything other than accurate representation of the work done to an auditor. | ||

Now, there were a lot of questions from lawmakers about whether this audit should result in criminal investigations. | |
| So, we'll see what comes from that. | ||
| The Office of the Legislative Auditor provides recommendations both to the department and to lawmakers in case law changes are needed. | ||
| Just one more time of what the auditor said regarding this fabrication of documents, she called it a systemic problem within DHS. | ||
| We have come full circle. | ||
| And today is a day where we kind of reflect on a lot of things because all of us like 9-11 and like at other times in our nation's history where something traumatic has happened, we remember where we were, what we were doing, and remember watching those events unfold. | ||
| And so, there is that part of this that is history for us. | ||
| And so, it got me reflecting a little bit about history. | ||
| You know, our history professor here at the table is Simone, and she's very quick to make those links to important periods in our nation's history as part of the progress or lack thereof that we're making. | ||
| And for me, that came, that circle completion was after the Civil War. | ||
| Yeah, talk about it, Michael Field. | ||
| After the Civil War, what happened? | ||
| We allowed the people who moved against the government, who caused and fought in a way to keep slavery, yes, but even more so to overturn the fundamental foundations of this country. | ||
| They built monuments to themselves. | ||
| They started writing the history and they continue to lie to this day about what those events that were at the heart of the Civil War were about. | ||
| They are writing at this moment, still writing that history and lying to themselves, to your point, and to the American people about what happened between 1860 and 1865. | ||
| And now today, five years after January 6th, you have this president and those insurrectionists lying to themselves and to the country about what happened on that day. | ||
| The difference is, we weren't at the table in 1865, but we were in our living rooms. | ||
| We were in our jobs. | ||
| We were at cafes and places around this country watching that happen. | ||
| So how do we impress upon people, you're both testifying on the Hill, that this is real. | ||
| This is real. | ||
| What happened is real. | ||
| And everything this president is saying about those events is a lie. | ||
| Yeah, you can whitewash it all you want with a pardon, but we were there, baby. | ||
| We saw it. | ||
| We lived it. | ||
| This is the primal scream of a dying regime. | ||
| Pray for our enemies because we're going medieval on these people. | ||
| You're not going to free shot on all these networks lying about the people. | ||
| The people have had a belly full of it. | ||
| I know you don't like hearing that. | ||
| I know you're trying to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it. | ||

| In 1996, there were 5,000 Muslims. | ||

| There are currently 88 mosques as opposed to the four back in 1996. | ||
| This is a population spike in Minnesota of 2,100%. | ||

| There's so much going on in Europe right now, full meltdown. | ||
| That's what we wanted to show you the tee-up in the cold open of the complete and total meltdown of the elites. | ||
| President Trump is delivering a hammer blow because of hemispheric defense and the way he's going about it. | ||
| A hammer blow to the post-war international liberal rules-based order and the globalists, which is the foundational element of globalization. | ||
| And the globalists are losing it. | ||
| They're losing it in Europe. | ||
| They're saying this is it, the end of NATO, all of it. | ||
| President Trump, part of this, and you see this in Venezuela, where the three parts he put out in Venezuela was: you got to stop the drug trafficking. | ||
| I need all the foreign and Ruby, I think, gave him a message yesterday. | ||
| I need the CCP guys out. | ||
| I need the Russians out. | ||
| I need Hamas out. | ||

| And she just went off about almost, I'm not saying it said as an act of war, but we're getting there. | ||
| And Pete Hex of the day said it's a blockade, not a quarantine. | ||
| But in everything that's happening on this, probably the most important is this vessel. | ||

| There's a vessel out there that people have been tracking. | ||
| Turns out it's a Russian vessel, I get. | ||
| I talked to you the other night when I saw some aircraft, the aircraft, and I thought maybe they were pre-positioning for some activities in the Middle East. | ||
| And you corrected me because you're an expert. | ||
| I said, no, no, no, no. | ||
| I think this is for something else. | ||
| I don't think these are going to go to the Middle East, near the Middle East country, you think, at least not for now, because they can't get there. | ||
| We've had helicopters around this vessel. | ||
| Can you get us up to date on what's have we actually seized? | ||
| Has the Coast Guard or the United States Navy or the CIA, have we actually seized this Russian vessel on the high seas, sir? | ||
| Yes, it's now in full U.S. control. | ||
| The Secretary of War put that out that it's called the Bella 1 or the Marinera. | ||
| It's changed its names a few times. | ||
| What you see there are soft helicopters, Special Operations helicopters from 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment at Fort Campbell. | ||
| They were deployed, and what you saw was a bunch of C-17s bringing equipment over to the UK. | ||
| But what tipped me off was there was also a naval P-8, which you can explain more about that. | ||
| It's a reconnaissance and surveillance plane, keeping an eye on the tanker, also a V-22. | ||
| But these aircraft, we saw pictures of little birds in the area, which are the AH-6, which bring in the shooters to the ship, along with the fast ropes from the Blackhawk you're seeing there. | ||
| So this was a tier one soft takedown. | ||
| I mean, this is not that big a deal to take a ship, but this is such a high-profile. | ||
| I'm sure they use tier one assets, SEAL Team 6 likely. | ||
| You know, there's a lot of rivalry in this group, and I guarantee you the dev group would not let Delta take the ship. | ||
| So this was an ST-6 mission, likely. | ||
| And there's a lot of infiltration methods I won't go into. | ||
| They were on the ship before the helicopters got there. | ||

| I mean, they're naval commandos, right? | ||
| And we would sit off the coast of San Diego off Coronado on weekends, and they would come and try to, you know, they try to take the ship. | ||
| They would do these exercises all the time. | ||
| But and to assume that Delta Force is going to take a ship when you've got the Navy there. | ||
| Tell us, what's a tier one asset? | ||
| Tier one means direct contact with the White House, counterterror, you know, the real deal, serious black missions. | ||
| That's tier one, special operations. | ||
| SEAL TEAM 6, Delta. | ||
| Was a while the unit I used to fly for, the 20th SOS. | ||
| Now that's moved to the Army. | ||
| There were V-22s, AFSOC, Air Force assets, the Tilt Road are in the area also. | ||
| But this is classic JSOC. | ||
| You know, Tier 1 is under JSOC in Fort Bragg, which is Joint Special Operations Command. | ||
| And this is a classic Tier 1 mission. | ||
| You know, it's interesting that they were using all types of assets. | ||
| But obviously, the Russian aircraft or the Russian tanker, it's allegedly a Russian tanker, but it was reflagged a few weeks ago or a few days ago. | ||
| So I don't think this is as big a legal issue that we were talking beforehand. | ||
| How can you just reflag a tanker at sea? | ||
| I'm not a naval expert. | ||
| I'll have to ask some people about that. | ||
| But I think that there's a lot of talk that they got there before the Russians could get there to assist the ship. | ||
| Well, I'm saying these guys were on board before anybody knew anyone was in the area. | ||
| And I won't go into their methods, but that's how they roll. | ||
| And then they brought the ship. | ||

| We got Andy Harris, the head of the House Freedom Caucus, on this all-day conference yesterday with President Trump gave that monumental speech. | ||

| You flew with the Air Force pilot as a special operator. | ||
| And so you have expertise in the area, but you also have news sites that cover, I think, Ukraine and the Eastern Europe and the conflict in Russia better than anybody. | ||
| I want the answer and get back. | ||
| The operation and how it was done is amazing. | ||
| Once again, our military is just incredible. | ||
| However, it's a Russian ship. | ||
| Whoever they got, the flag of the day, it's a Russian ship. | ||
| And that kind of raises the stakes. | ||
| It's one thing to blockade off of Venezuela and take these and tell the CCP, hey, you're not getting your oil, although that's ratcheted up. | ||
| But supposedly, President Trump's so easy on Putin, they seized a Russian ship today. | ||

| We think they'll lose again. | ||
| We think if they try, we'll go to court and we'll actually try to get a second seat in Maryland. | ||

| He's running for president and he's got to show his bona fides. | ||

| So can you take a minute and put through what the Freedom Caucus has put out this massive legislative agenda that they want to implement this year, like now in the House of Representatives, sir? | ||
| Yeah, we think that we have to put forth an agenda. | ||
| We think it has to be a conservative agenda consistent with the Make America Great Again. | ||
| So it's got things like the immigration. | ||
| We have got to go and retry to pass H.R. 2, which is our border control bill, because we think the president has been tremendously successful. | ||
| But God forbid, we get another Joe Biden type person in the office. | ||
| You have to make sure that the law specifically will not allow them to do what Joe Biden did over the last four years. | ||
| And go down the line, election integrity. | ||
| I mean, we think that only American citizens should be voting. | ||
| What a novel idea. | ||
| We think that there should be voter ID. | ||
| Again, 80% of Americans agree that you should have to show an ID at a poll to vote. | ||
| And if you're going to vote by mail, you better have very rigorous voter ID in place because the ability to commit fraud is much, much higher. | ||
| And we go down the list of things we need to do. | ||
| We need to do judicial overreach. | ||
| Again, this is a comprehensive list. | ||
| People ought to go to the House Freedom Caucus website and pull it up and take a look at it. | ||
| It's the agenda that we should run on in the midterms. | ||
| We run on that agenda. | ||
| We will win. | ||
| Congressman, it's amazing. | ||
| And Grace and Moe, if you can push it out, this letter that you lay at the entire thing is kind of breathtaking about what it and the statement it would make to the American people. | ||
| So walk us now through the mechanics, particularly in an election year, it seems like things freeze up. | ||
| We now are in a position with the tragic death yesterday. | ||
| We got a car accident. | ||
| We're at 218, so you can't lose any votes. | ||
| What is the House Freedom Caucus and Andy Harris' plan to actually make this happen with the Speaker and Steve Scalise? | ||
| Well, what we think to do is the first thing you have to do is you have to put that agenda out there. | ||
| It has to be a reasonable agenda. | ||
| Again, consistent with the president, consistent with making America great again. | ||
| We think that the, and it's more than 10 points on this agenda. | ||
| We think there are a lot of things that need to be done to turn this country around. | ||
| We think that when you put it out there, hopefully we, in essence, shame the leadership into saying, yeah, that's what we ought to do. | ||
| You know, we have a limited number of weeks between now and the election. | ||
| Every couple of weeks, you should be taking up one of these items and we should be passing it. | ||
| Then when the president holds his convention in the summer, we should make it clear to the American people, if you send us back as the majority and you send us more senators, because these things are going to be passed in the House. | ||
| They're going to go to the Senate to die because the Liberals are in control with Chuck Schumer. | ||
| We have to make the case to the American people. | ||
| You've got to send a House majority and then you have to send a larger Senate majority so that we can deliver on these for the American people. | ||
| That's the only way we're going to get through the midterms. | ||
| But this, I told people when I first saw it the other day and sent it out to everybody, this makes the case for why the filibuster has to change now. | ||
| We can't wait to another election. | ||
| Do it now. | ||
| When he just said shame, I think this is what the audience has a tough time thinking through. | ||
| President Trump, everybody in this audience, you know, did the polls, walked door to door, knocked on doors. | ||
| Why do you have to shame leadership? | ||
| I mean, this is probably as close as you're going to get to the MAGA agenda that could codify and put into law President Trump's executive orders because we know that if there's any type of shift to another administration, they can just get rid of the executive orders day one. | ||
| Why do we have to shame people? | ||
| Why is this not embraced? | ||
| Why, quite frankly, was this not the centerpiece of the all-day discussion yesterday, you know, point, you know, bill by bill about how we're going to, you know, mount up and get this done, sir. | ||
| Well, Steve, that's exactly why we released it two days before the meeting yesterday. | ||
| We thought this was going to be the agenda in the meeting yesterday. | ||
| It turned out it wasn't, but we're not stopping. | ||
| We're pressing forward with this. | ||
| And I will tell you, you don't, all you have to do over in the Senate is you don't even have to change the 60-vote rule. | ||
| Just make people stay there and debate all night. | ||
| If they want to filibuster, that's fine. | ||
| You have to have the filibuster on the floor. | ||
| You have to stay there. | ||
| You have to have quorum votes as necessary. | ||
| Because if you do that, the number of filibusters will go to near zero because nobody in the Senate wants to stay up all night on a lot of these issues. | ||
| Now, you will get an occasional issue, but again, you have to reinstitute what we call the talking filibuster. | ||
| That's the easiest thing because you don't have to change the rules. | ||
| All you have to do is insist that you have to be there talking. | ||
| Someone has to be there talking, a quorum present. | ||
| As soon as a quorum is in present or a quorum of the majority is present, they can call the vote and it's a simple majority at that point. | ||
| We think that that should be done at a minimum. | ||
| If you're not going to eliminate the 60-vote threshold, at least make it a talking filibuster. | ||
| Congressman, how can this audience assist you in the Freedom Caucus, guys, in making sure that this is front and center and that the president's fully aware of it and that we can push this together? | ||
| Because this should be, this should have been all day in the conference, should have gone through this bill by bill that you guys lay out. | ||
| It should have talked about the tactics and strategy of how to implement it. | ||
| It's very straightforward what these are. | ||
| I mean, it's not a lot of debate about what you guys have put forward. | ||
| How can we help? | ||
| How can this audience help you guys muscle this through? | ||
| Because unfortunately, it's going to have to be muscled through the House. | ||
| So how do we do that? | ||
| Absolutely. | ||
| So, the first thing is, again, go to the Freedom Caucus website and look at the list. | ||
| Just convince yourself, you'll easily be convinced, just like you said, these are common sense things. | ||
| These are things that will put in statute the president's agenda. | ||
| Again, starting with very important things like election integrity, incredibly important, because the midterms, if they steal another election, you can't win an election that's stolen from you. | ||
| That's the bottom line. | ||
| So, election integrity, very important. | ||
| Voter ID. | ||
| The president made a very important point last night, Steve, that I think has to be reinforced. | ||
| 80% of Americans think that you should show an ID when you go to vote. | ||
| This is a no-brainer. | ||
| I've suggested we should pass the voter ID bill every three weeks in the House, send it over to the Senate, and embarrass the number of Democrats who are going to vote against the simple idea of showing an ID when you go to vote, because the vast majority of Americans agree with it. | ||
| Again, these are common sense ideas. | ||
| Look at them and then urge your members of Congress, because there are only three dozen or so of us in the Freedom Caucus. | ||
| The other 180 are not in the Freedom Caucus. | ||
| Urge a Republican member of Congress to support the idea of this kind of agenda every three weeks, going to the floor and checking it off. | ||
| You know, this is checking off the checklist. | ||
| And then at the convention in August, the president makes the point: you got to send me a House majority and you got to send me a larger Senate majority, or we should change that filibuster rule so that we can deliver this agenda to the American people. | ||
| We're trying. | ||
| The president is trying. | ||
| He needs the legislature. | ||
| The doom and gloom folks that say there's nothing to do. | ||
| We're going to lose the House. | ||
| I've said that from day one. | ||
| Nothing is cast. | ||
| The die is not cast in this. | ||
| We can do this. | ||
| And one of the ways you do it is you have a program that's a positive program of things that you're accomplishing, actions you're taking. | ||

| It was kind of like taken from Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, that if they want to step up there, if they want to have these, like the historic ones, those of you old enough to remember, that took place in the 1960s on some of these bills and some of the social legislation. | ||
| If you want to filibuster, you have a talking filibuster. | ||
| You still got the right to filibuster. | ||
| It's a talking filibuster, but you got to have a quorum. | ||
| You got to stand up there the entire time and try to fight it. | ||
| But President Trump needs the Senate. | ||
| Right now, we've allowed custom and tradition to bind us. | ||
| And you heard Tommy Tuberville yesterday. | ||
| Tuberville said the first thing they're going to do is do that. | ||
| They're going to pack the court. | ||
| They're going to make D.C. a state. | ||
| They're going to do everything they do to have a permanent blocking there. | ||
| And it's, it's, and we got to, we got to undo that. | ||
| So I want everybody to see this. | ||
| We're going to have more, no need to call right now. | ||
| We're going to have a whole program of how you call and how you talk to people. | ||
