Speaker Time Text
unidentified
i literally had time to go get a coffee and this is what happens minneapolis
ben bergquam
this is sadly what america's become because of leftist activists We've got ICE out here doing operations.
And immediately, you got the whole community coming out.
You'll just blocking traffic.
Protecting Somali illegals.
unidentified
Hey!
ben bergquam
No!
unidentified
This guy, probably illegal herself.
Just blocking traffic.
This lady.
ben bergquam
Where are you from?
Where are you from?
Doesn't want to be on camera, I guess.
You're blocking traffic.
Gonna cause an accident.
This guy just trying to probably get to work.
This lady just blocking traffic.
This is what happens when you let 20 million illegals into your country like the Democrats have done.
And then you have activists in every community to protect them.
This is what you get.
unidentified
Wow.
That's what happens when you let the third world in.
ben bergquam
Spitting at officers.
unidentified
Spitting at officers, blocking traffic.
ben bergquam
That is what death of a nation looks like when you have entire communities set up against federal law enforcement that are working to remove criminals from their neighborhoods.
Go back to wherever you're from.
unidentified
Get that f ⁇ ing camera out of here.
ben bergquam
What illegals are okay?
Rapists, murderers.
unidentified
Off.
ben bergquam
Terrorists.
unidentified
You're f ⁇ ing rapists.
ben bergquam
You're okay with all them?
I'm not ICE, so I'm just asking your question.
donald j trump
Oh, you're a real America's voice?
unidentified
Yeah.
ben bergquam
F ⁇ you.
To the other side, the American people that love what you're doing, that voted for this, that want to see more of it.
What can we do?
What can they do to help you in removing those illegal aliens that were allowed to invade our country during Joe Biden's term?
gregory bovino
Many things they can do.
We're receiving a lot of tips, whether it's online or the ICE tip line, or even coming up to a border patrol agent on the street.
We're receiving many tips, numerous tips here in Louisiana.
We also receive those in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Charlotte.
Those tips are proving very beneficial to us.
So if you see something, let us know.
We won't ignore it.
And then also, it's just the public support.
Put the word out.
Put the word out about what we are doing.
We had a lady day before yesterday right here in Louisiana that was so impressed at the border patrol agents out arresting a criminal in her neighborhood, she offered them some gumbo.
And I understand that was good gumbo.
I need to find her and see if I can get a bowl of that.
But it's that type of word.
And I appreciate you putting the word out, Ben, and your network.
It's that type of thing that once the word's out, it becomes a movement and we get this job done.
That's where we want to be.
We want to get this job done.
We want to remove these illegal aliens, especially the millions that that last administration allowed in.
And we don't want any more angel moms.
We don't want any more Americans.
And they do die by the thousands.
We don't want any more dead Americans or Americans that fall victim to illegal aliens.
steve bannon
This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
Pray for our enemies.
Because we're going medieval on these people.
President's not got a free shot on all these networks lying about the people.
The people have had a belly full of it.
I know you don't like hearing that.
I know you've tried to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it.
It's going to happen.
jake tapper
And where do people like that go to share the big lie?
MAGA media.
I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
steve bannon
Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
unidentified
Waru, here's your host, Stephen K. Battle.
steve bannon
It's Friday, 12 December, Year of the Lord 2025.
We got a lot to get to.
We have, besides Peter Ticton, who's one of Tina Peters' lawyers, we have John Case.
He's going to join us here momentarily.
I want to start with Ben Berquam, death of a nation.
We've got to compare and contrast, right?
And we've also got Oscar Blue Ramirez talking about the militarization of the American border in California.
Another announcement that he's picked up by CBS News.
I want to ask you, that may be one of the most intense cold opens we've ever had.
Talk to me about the difference between Minneapolis and New Orleans.
And you interviewed Bovina, which is, he doesn't do a lot of interviews, but I want to talk about, I don't think folks in the country understand what's happening in Minneapolis, how out of control this is, and you're 100% correct.
That sound is the death of a nation, sir.
ben bergquam
Yeah, you talk about a contrast.
I'm here at the Kenner PD just outside of New Orleans, and this is the difference.
It's the difference between America and a third world country.
We are a divided states of America today, and it's because of these leftist policies.
You've got places like Minneapolis, Minnesota, Chicago, Illinois, LA, California, Portland, Oregon, Salem, Oregon, all of these places that have pitted themselves against our federal government, our ICE and Border Patrol from doing the job of removing the illegals that they allowed into our country and weaponizing their community against ICE.
That's the big difference.
In Minneapolis, the community has been weaponized against ICE.
Not only will law enforcement not show up and support ICE, they will show up to oppose ICE.
You contrast that to New Orleans, where I'm down here.
Kenner PD is working directly with Border Patrol.
They are actually riding together on rides.
You've got multiple jurisdictions, local and state jurisdictions, all working together with Border Patrol and ICE to fix this problem that the Democrats caused.
That's the difference.
And really, it's very simple.
We either die as a nation because of leftist policies or we survive because of MAGA policies.
That's the divide right now.
steve bannon
And it's clear.
It's one or the other.
It can't be anyone in between, correct?
ben bergquam
That's right.
And I mean, it's very, very clear.
God bless Kenner PD actually heading to a scene right now.
It's very clear.
You can't have both.
It's one or the other.
You either save this nation and stand up for this nation, or you're willing to allow this nation to die.
And anybody, and this goes to the Congress, any of the Republicans out there, and even any sane-minded Democrats, that's the question.
Are you willing to allow this nation to die?
Because that's what you're allowing to have happen when you attack Border Patrol and ICE from doing their jobs to secure this country from the invasion that was allowed to happen under Biden.
steve bannon
Remember, Bovino, who's down there in New Orleans leading that ICE move, and being what the difference is, you see a governor and other people working with you, because New Orleans is no, I mean, New Orleans has had its problems, Katrina, the law, you know, the problems after that.
So it's not like you're walking into some wealthy suburb, but it looks like people are cooperating.
unidentified
Go ahead.
ben bergquam
Yeah, you still have the protesters show up.
The difference is law enforcement shows up to back up ICE.
They don't show up to back up the protesters.
And that, you know, so when ICE is out there doing their job, they're actually able to do their job.
When you go into Minneapolis, it was, it was really, I mean, it was insane, Steve.
Within 30 seconds, we were surrounded by activists and nobody there to back us up.
So not only does it diminish ICE's operation from being able to do what they're supposed to do in the community, you're allowing these criminal, illegal alien thugs to stay in your communities.
You're harboring those people and you're uplifting the worst in your community, basically stopping ICE from being able to do their job.
It's just, it's shocking to see.
I mean, I've seen it bad in Chicago.
I saw it bad in LA, but Minneapolis was on another level.
You add that third world Somali component to it.
It's on another level.
I mean, this is jihad in America that's been weaponized by the leftist communists.
The three-legged stool we talked about.
It's evident.
I mean, it's palpable when you're in a place like Minneapolis.
steve bannon
I don't think it's been totally reported.
I think it's been rumored, but my understanding is that it was so out of control in Minneapolis, they actually tried to kidnap or basically snatch some ICE officers in the field and kind of hold them captive.
Am I wrong in that they attempted to do that?
ben bergquam
Yeah, so we were, I was holding on to that story.
We were there when it happened at a different location, and we started getting reports over the radio that an ICE officer had been kidnapped.
And what we first heard was ICE kidnapping.
And so immediately we thought, oh, gosh, more fake news.
CNN's probably out there telling, pushing the garbage that ICE is kidnapping people.
And then we realized, no, it was actually an ICE agent that was grabbed and pulled into a vehicle, and that vehicle sped off before other agents were able to respond and get there.
This ICE agent was fighting off their attackers, their kidnappers.
And this goes directly back to these policies that protect criminals, embolden criminals, to the point where the first actual kidnapping that happened was on an ICE agent.
So yeah, this is a very, very dangerous position that we're in as a nation.
And it's only going to get worse unless we actually are able, these law enforcement agencies actually come together and say, not only will you do, allow, we will allow you to do your job, we will help you do your job.
And think about this, Steve.
Think about Hanover Park, Illinois, where they had hired an illegal alien.
We broke that story too.
What is an illegal alien or even a legal, an immigrant in America who's hired by a police department?
What is that immigrant going to do or illegal alien going to do when the police department says, we want you to stand against ICE?
Who are they going to side with?
Are they going to side with the Constitution and our federal government and federal supremacy?
Or are they going to side with the department that illegally hired them in the first place?
We are setting ourselves up for a civil war in this nation based on these policies in these sanctuary jurisdictions.
steve bannon
You talk about deputizing the military to go in there.
I mean, your recommendation to President Trump, you've been on the ground and seen it.
This thing in Minnesota, because you've got Waltz is out of control, the mayor's out of control, the mayor's going to these Somalian meetings.
He's trying to speak in Somalian.
What is your recommendation to the president about the military and what needs to be done in Minneapolis today?
ben bergquam
You have to have it.
We have to have the guard in there right now.
There is no other solution in Minneapolis.
Like I said, I've seen it bad.
And my concern, Steve, is this is a precursor of what's to come.
I think we're going to start seeing this increased violence, increased attacks on all of our ICE and Border Patrol agents.
But Minneapolis needs the guard there right now.
steve bannon
I noticed that there were not just Somalians, there were other look like locals or protesters that were enraged by the fact that you were there as a news, as a journalist, right, an investigative reporter, and particularly when they saw Real America's voice, they absolutely got triggered.
Tell us about that.
ben bergquam
Yeah, this is, again, this is the three-legged stool of communism.
It's the jihadists, it's the, I mean, of the Democrat Party.
It's the communist, it's the jihadist, and it's the cartels all operating together.
And so when you go into these communities, they're actually, they've been so organized that you actually have all of these individuals, these communists, leftists, Democratic socialists, whatever they want to call themselves, on almost every street corner.
They've got their whistles around their necks.
They're looking for ICE.
So as soon as ICE is spotted in the community, they attack.
And then you want on top of that, you got the jihadists, the Somali community that comes out and attacks as well.
But really, it's really the worst part are these radical leftist white liberals that are in those communities that are sent out there to attack and obstruct and stop ICE from being able to do their jobs.
This is all coordinated.
And what's crazy, in my ride today with Border Patrol here in New Orleans, they said they're actually finding that the same NGOs that we paid to invite the invasion are the same vehicles that are following and attacking them in some of these cities.
It's exactly what we've been saying.
steve bannon
But the northern cities, we're going to go to break.
I want you to hold through.
I know you've got to catch a plane, but it'll take a few minutes.
Bovino was the one the judge ordered in Chicago to show up every afternoon at 4 o'clock and give a detail of what he had been doing.
I mean, how outrageous is that, Ben?
ben bergquam
It's disgusting.
It's spitting in the face of a warrior, of a hero of our nation.
steve bannon
We're going to take a short commercial break.
We've got Ben Berquam in New Orleans.
Oscar Blue Ramirez is going to join us.
CBS News are reporting that the Trump administration is now militarizing the border in California.
They've done it in Texas to seal the border.
They've done it in Arizona, now Mexico, or now the California-Mexico border.
Okay, short commercial break.
Oscar Blue Ramirez is with us.
Ben Berquam, Ben's going to have to bounce in a moment.
We also have John Case.
He's going to call in about the Tina Peters situation, her health.
Most importantly, what is the pardon last night, the federal pardon for President Trump mean?
What is the plan?
What is being worked on?
News media all day has been mocking President Trump, mocking Tina Peters, the gold star mother.
Birch Gold, markets are in turmoil today.
Turmoil.
I think Oracle lost 10% of its value the other day, another 7% today.
Questions about their debt, about their bonds paying off this big bet that Oracle has made on artificial intelligence.

steve bannon
Okay, Ben Berquam, I'm going to stick with you.
Oscar Maris is in Mexico.
Going to join us momentarily.
We have John Case, Tina Peters, other lawyer, who's going to join us.
So we're pretty packed this afternoon.
The Secretary of Treasury subted his schedule, is going to join us tomorrow.
Here's the reason.
We're not talking about capital markets.
We're not going to talk about the Big Beautiful Bill.
There's an AP article that says Scott Besson, Secretary of Treasury, is leading an effort from Treasury at the direction of the president to get into the money laundering, the fraud of the Somalians, and put this bad.
We talked to the Secretary and the office over there and said, hey, we just need the person on top of this that's doing it every day, that's running the task force.
You're too busy.
The response I get is that there's no higher priority.
The President of the United States has tasked the Secretary.
He's running this personally.
How big a deal do you make that?
And is that going to give the ICE agents some backup that people at the highest levels are taking this thing seriously?
ben bergquam
Yeah, this is the most important thing.
You've been talking about it for months, Steve.
We've been talking about it.
We've got to follow the money on this.
And undoubtedly, we're going to follow this back, not just to these Somali rings, but to the politicians.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Ilhan Omar had her hands in the cookie jar.
You look at somebody who made $30 million for doing nothing.
Governor Walz, who knows?
Who knows how far this goes?
We've got to track it back.
But the same goes for everything else we're talking about.
All of these activist organizations that are impeding ICE and Border Patrol from being able to do their job, we need that same level of focus on those organizations and the money that's going to them.
Is it coming from the cartels?
Is it coming from foreign adversaries?
Where is this coming from to fund these attacks against Border Patrol, ICE, President Trump, this administration, really the American people?
We need it across the board.
But that's where it starts.
It's where the money goes.
steve bannon
As you showed us, you and Oscar showed us in those hard-scrabble border towns in the Rio Grande Valley.
There are many religious organizations, Lutheran, Catholic, Jewish, that are up through their eyeballs in this.
Correct, sir?
ben bergquam
That's right.
They were involved in bringing the invasion in.
They were involved in training illegals on how to game the system.
And now they're involved in protecting illegals in these communities.
They are training them on how to break the law.
This should be a massive RICO case.
And it was all done with our money and cartel money.
These guys need to be prosecuted.
I always say this.
Cartels are bad.
They're evil, but at least they're honest about it.
These organizations that pretend to be good are from the pits of hell.
They need to be held accountable.
steve bannon
Your footage is amazing.
Where can people go?
You're going to put it up, particularly this interview with Bovino.
You've got other things.
You've got tons of scoops in here.
Where are people going to put it up?
Where are you going to put it up?
People can see it.
ben bergquam
At Real AM Voice on X, social media, Real America's Voice.
And then I've got the entire interview I did with Chief Banks from Monday, an incredible interview.
We're putting all that together.
I've got the rest of Bavino we're putting together and the rest of my time in Minneapolis.
So all of that will be coming out on America's Voice and then on my social media at Ben Berquam on all my social media.
steve bannon
Last question before I go to Oscar.
This story in CBS today about the militarization of the California-Mexico border.
I thought we'd, I know we did in Texas and Arizona.
Is it not fully done?
Is that where they're now going to Mexico?
Or is there a specific problem that's popped up?
ben bergquam
Well, this entire area from basically from the Arizona border all the way to Takate, Mexico, especially when you get up into those mountains, is so rugged and remote.
It's very difficult to man that.
There's many areas that don't have a wall in that stretch.
And so, to be able to give this to the military, it just increases our effectiveness at stopping all of the traffic coming across.
There's still traffic.
We're not having any of the give-ups that we had before, but you still have illegals running their drugs.
And the really bad guys that don't want to get caught are still going through areas like this.
So, this is just one more quiver, one more arrow in President Trump's quiver in his arsenal to stop all of the cartel activity on there.
And it gives it, it doesn't just let them in and then have to be processed.
The military can stop them and turn them right back, or they can prosecute them.
It just gives them more that they can do to stop this invasion and/or the invasion that Biden did and to stop the cartels from bringing any more of this poison into our country.
steve bannon
Ben, great job.
Amazing footage, great interviews at the highest level.
Go make sure you get your plane, sir.
Get back to the family.
ben bergquam
Yeah, thank you, sir.
God bless you.
God bless God bless Border Patrol.
steve bannon
In New Orleans, God bless them, the fight they're doing.
Oscar Blue Romero, she joined us from Mexico.
Oscar, as they've had this intense focus in Venezuela on those cartels, have we lost focus on the northern Mexican cartels?
Is this why now Pete Hegseth is talking to the president and they're going to militarize the border in the California-Mexican border?
Or is this to send a message to Newsom, sir?
oscar ramirez
No, sir.
Good evening.
It has to do a lot with the corruption that is happening right now under the Cloud of Shamebaun government.
It has to do also with the Baja California government that is the most corrupt government right now in the whole country of Mexico.
The Department of Treasury of the United States of America has exposed most there, more than 50, 30 politicians, and four of them are installed right here in the state of Baja California.
The governor Marina de Pilar, with her husband, the Department of Treasury, has accused them to be in CAHUTS with the organized crime and the cartel.
Also, you know, the mayor of Mexicali next door to Calexico also has her visa has been taken away and has been put on hold because she has been accused of being in cajoots with the organized crime and the cartel.
Ilda Brown, a federal deputy and former mayor of Rosarito, another municipal city in the state of Baja California, also accused of being in cajoots with the Sinaloa cartel.
Steve, the whole country right now in Mexico is a complete disaster.
It is a narco government.
It is a narco-state.
And, you know, what took them so long?
They need to militarize the whole border.
The cartel has, you know, full, you know, a territory has full direction to do whatever the hell they want.
When you have a president of Mexico that says that she's not going to war with the Cartels because that is illegal, that is an immediate action and a red flag for the United States of America to militarize their border.
steve bannon
How long do you think this will take?
I mean, we've done it in Texas.
It's been very successful there.
We've done it in Arizona.
How long is this going to take and how many troops do you think it'll take?
oscar ramirez
Well, I was reading it's about 7,000 troops that they're going to send to California.
Like my colleague Ben Berquin was saying, we have walked all these mountains in the part of Tecate and also in the desert and Mexicali and also in the parts of Tijuana.
And it's really difficult to get to these areas.
One of the areas that was recently closed was Eagle's Nest.
It is called Nio de Las Aguilas.
It is on top of the part of Tecate.
That place was an enormous trafficking of people from Brazil, from India, from all parts of the world.
And they have just recently closed that gap with closing with a border wall.
So they have to reinforce some areas.
It's still the cartel and the organized crime are still trying to traffic, you know, illegal aliens through those particular areas.
And not only that, you know, the defense mechanism that the United States of America needs to do now, Steve, they're using explosives with drums.
So that's one of the things that has to be extremely comprehensive.
That the United States government needs to understand that the cartel has grown so much in technology.
There is a full-on threat to the United States authorities.
steve bannon
President Trump's program overall, I mean, for the last four or five years, you've been in harm's way.
You've been to some of those dangerous Darien Gaps, southern Mexico, coming up with the beast, the trains, all of it.
Give us an assessment right now.
President Trump's plan that he's done to shut the border on a scale from one to 10, 10 being very safe.
How safe has Mexico become because of what President Trump's done?
oscar ramirez
100%.
You know, President Trump has put the National Guard in Mexico to work.
Not only that, Steve, they have put the Mexican government to work because of the 25% tariff.
They have decreased the level of trafficking of fentanyl by 50%.
They have dismantled more than 1,200 laboratories.
They have arrested more than 20,000 agitators of violence in Mexico.
They have exposed more than 50, dirty politicians.
President Trump, with closing the border, he has completely saved lives in the most miserable and most dangerous place for migrants that it was the Darien Gap.
You know, he has completely shut down the Cartel Le Clan del Golfo that was operated in Colombia, all the way to the parts of Mexico, have completely shut down the cartel and the borders with Mexico and the United States, according to shut trafficking of humans, trafficking of children, exploitation of women.
Because of the policies of President Trump pushing the Mexican government to do their job, it is one of the things that this is happening.
If a Democrat government was in place right now, that border will be a complete disaster, Steve.
steve bannon
You know, you've chronicled this for years about particularly the government down there being really owned by the cartels.
Do the people in Mexico, because you've done a great job of showing how these Mexican citizens were being crushed by the cartels.
Did the citizens of Mexico know that this safety is coming because of Donald Trump and not their own government?
In fact, their own government's been resistant?
oscar ramirez
Oh, yes, we covered that.
And just recently with you, Steve, on the 15th of November, there was a massive rally of Gen C all the way to the governmental palace of the president of Mexico, just screaming that they want more security, that they want this organized crime in the cartel to have less power in our country to completely disappear and eradicate them because they have been assassinating politicians, Steve.
They're killing the good ones and they're leaving the bad ones in government.
So the Mexican citizens and the Mexican people, we are sick and tired of this.
We need to clean up the house.
And by the pressure of President Trump, a lot of the people in Mexico are acknowledging and understanding that it's not about an intervention, but it's about cleaning the house in Mexico.
steve bannon
Oscar, give your social media.
We're going to cut right to the White House right now.
Where's your social media?
Where do people get you?
oscar ramirez
Oscar Bill Ramirez, all around, sir.
Thank you so much for the invitation.
Of course, Real America's Boys Houston.
steve bannon
Thank you, brother.
Appreciate you.
Let's go right to the Oval Office of President of the United States.
donald j trump
We have a very exciting team of champions standing behind me.
Mr. Attorney, could you read what we're doing right now?
will scharf
This is H.R. 452, the Miracle on Ice Bill.
The United States Congress has authorized three medals to be struck commemorating the historic victory of the United States men's hockey team in 1980 at the Lake Placid Olympics, where they obviously defeated the Russians in the Soviet Union, excuse me, in the famous Miracle on Ice Hockey Game.
This will serve as a fitting commemoration of that incredible achievement and will hopefully be a lasting memorial of that achievement going forward, sir.
donald j trump
This was an amazing event.
Pretty big.
I mean, I don't know.
There were some other upsets in the world.
I haven't noticed them getting any of these, right?
You're the only ones.
That's great.
And we don't use auto pens here.
unidentified
It's a great achievement.
donald j trump
Okay.
unidentified
Wait a minute.
donald j trump
There you go, Mike.
mike eruzione
Thank you, sir.
donald j trump
So great, right?
unidentified
Most of these people are too young to remember that.
donald j trump
But you all sports fans know it.
Thank you very much.
It's a great honor to have the media too.
We're delighted to be joined today by true legends of American sports history, the heroes for the entire nation, the 1980 U.S. Olympic ice hockey team.
This was one of the biggest moments that I've ever seen in sports, and I like sports.
These are the men who gave us one of the most stored athletic wins of all time.
It's called The Miracle and Ice, and I guess that's what it was.
We're with us today by players like Jim Craig, Steve Janisek, Bill Baker, Dave Christian, Ken Morrow, Jack O'Callaghan, Mike Ramsey, Neil Bratt,
Mike Urizioni, Rob McLanahan, Buzz Schneider, Dave Silk, Phil Ricota, and numerous others.
And what I'd love to do, you know, when you have all of these media people, it's a nice, slow afternoon.
Nothing's too slow around here.
I think we just did a very good job with Thailand and Cambodia.
We had them stopped, and I've been saying I stopped eight wars, but they started shooting at each other two days ago.
It wasn't good.
And we got it, I think, straightened out today.
So Thailand and Cambodia is in good shape.
So we get a lot done.
Eight wars, nobody's ever stopped eight wars.
We have one more to go.
The easiest one, I thought, would be a country that you're somewhat familiar with: Russia and Ukraine.
But a lot of progress is being made even there.
Could I ask you to just say your name?
And if you have anything to say, you could say that also.
And then we'll get on with reading some of the stats.
unidentified
Yeah, my name is Ryan Suter.
I'm here representing my dad, Bob, who passed away.
It's a true honor for me to be a part of this and thank these guys for allowing me to be a part of their team.
And thank you for having this and hosting this.
donald j trump
Your father was some player.
Incredible player.
Did you ever play ice hockey?
unidentified
I did, yeah.
donald j trump
How good was he compared to his father?
unidentified
That's not answered.
Mr. Joseph Ryan just played 21 years in the NHL.
donald j trump
Played 1,500 games in the house.
So pretty comparable, though, right?
unidentified
Better?
donald j trump
You think better?
unidentified
Yes.
Dad was tough.
donald j trump
I heard he might have been.
mike eruzione
Dad was tougher, you're right.
donald j trump
Dad was tougher, but he was tougher.
But you got good genetics, and you had a great career.
How long did you play?
unidentified
I played 21 years.
Wow.
donald j trump
Well, you look pretty good for a guy who played 21 years.
Congratulations.
Great father.
unidentified
Thank you, Richard.
donald j trump
Great father.
unidentified
Please.
I'm Taria Lewis, and I'm here representing my dad, Mark Pavlich.
I'm so honored to be here.
I just, I'm at a loss for words, to be honest.
Like, I can't believe this is real.
And I want to say to you, President Trump, I know so many people from Duluth, Minnesota that love you.
I just, yes, yeah.
Thank you for having us here.
Thank you.
Yeah.
donald j trump
And you had a great father.
unidentified
Thank you so much.
donald j trump
A great, great player.
So on the street.
Thank you very much.
unidentified
Very, very, very pleasant.
Very, very good.
donald j trump
Very serious.
Thank you very much.
Thank you for being here.
Please, go ahead.
unidentified
I'm Ken Morrow.
It's an honor to meet you, Mr. President.
What a great win for our country.
And if people don't remember, that's where the USA-USA chance started in Lake Placid.
donald j trump
That's right.
I tried to take credit for that.
steve bannon
You had to bring that up.
donald j trump
That's the end of that.
That's all right.
Thank you very much.
unidentified
Hi, I'm Jim Craig, and it's an honor to be here.
I'm so proud of all my teammates and what we were able to accomplish for our country.
When you get a chance to represent your country, whether it's in the military or a sport, and you do something really special like our team did and then be recognized many years later.
So, Mr. President, I want to thank you for your courage that you show the country every single day.
Thank you, Mr. Mark.
And for making our country safe again.
donald j trump
Thank you.
Yeah, we're doing that.
I appreciate that very much.
I didn't know you were on that team.
unidentified
Ms. Cash.
donald j trump
Cash on the team.
pete stauber
I was a trainer.
steve bannon
I was a trainer.
donald j trump
Great player.
Thank you for being here.
He's doing a great job, too.
Thank you, Cash, very much.
steve bannon
Buzz Schneider.
Mr. President, thanks for having us here.
unidentified
Thanks, Congressman Staubert, for writing legislation with the least spot to Tom Ember.
steve bannon
It's a privilege to be here.
unidentified
You accomplished a wonderful thing, and I will say that I've got 19 beautiful people I did it with.
steve bannon
It was awesome.
Oh, six other people.
unidentified
Thank you.
donald j trump
Thanks again.
They are.
You have to be solid.
unidentified
Thank you.
donald j trump
Please.
Hi, I'm Neil Brown from Minnesota.
steve bannon
Thank you, Mr. Trump.
It's an honor.
You're celebrating us.
unidentified
And I can't believe I'm even here.
donald j trump
It's an amazing office.
It's unbelievable.
Everybody that comes here, they can, the biggest people in the world, they come into this place and they go, wow, it's the Oval Office, most important office anywhere in the world, not even close.
Thank you very much.
mike eruzione
Mr. President, Michael Ruggione, on behalf of the team, we have a replica hat that we wore at the opening ceremonies in Lake Placid.
donald j trump
Thank you.
mike eruzione
I'd like you to have that.
And more importantly, I don't think words can explain how proud we are of what you've done for our team.
unidentified
Thank you.
mike eruzione
Thank you very much.
donald j trump
Let's see what I want to do with that street.
steve bannon
There you go.
Now we can take a picture.
unidentified
Yes.
donald j trump
You've got to take a picture.
Remember a certain governor in Massachusetts when they put that helmet on?
That was not good.
Michael did that.
They put that helmet on.
That was the end of his political career.
mike eruzione
But the honor that you bestowed upon our team is something that's incredible.
donald j trump
Thank you very much.
unidentified
Thank you.
donald j trump
Well, I feel it.
mike eruzione
Thank you.
unidentified
Mr. President, hello, I'm Jack O'Callaghan from Charlestown, Mass.
donald j trump
Thank you, sir.
unidentified
And I grew up on the battlefield of where the Battle of Bunker Hill was fought.
That's where it all started.
And thank you so much for having us here.
steve bannon
We're a bunch of proud Americans.
unidentified
And we're thrilled to be in your presence, sir.
donald j trump
Thank you very much.
I'm thrilled to be with you guys, winners, champions.
Mr. President, my name is Steve Silk.
unidentified
And like Jack said, I'm a proud American.
Thank you for having us here.
donald j trump
And thank you to all that put this on for us.
unidentified
I'm honored to be here.
donald j trump
Thank you, fellas.
It's really nice.
unidentified
Thank you.
Mr. President, Bill Baker from Minnesota.
I know that right now that doesn't ring very well.
Hopefully, we can get that turned around.
donald j trump
Do we have Somalians in there?
Any Somalians on the team?
steve bannon
I don't think so.
donald j trump
Ilya and Omar.
unidentified
The pride we felt in 1980 was incredible, and we are starting to feel that again thanks to your leadership.
Thank you very much.
donald j trump
Well, you know, Minnesota is a great place, and this is a great leader right here for Minnesota.
He loves it.
Not happy with what's going on up there, and I think you'll take care of that situation.
unidentified
We're all with you.
tom emmer
With your help, we'll thank you.
donald j trump
Thank you, Governor.
You have my help.
What's happening up there is a disgrace.
It's a disgrace.
Billions of dollars have been stolen, billions sent back to Somalia.
And Tom can solve that problem better than anybody.
And you have the go-ahead, right?
tom emmer
Yes, sir.
donald j trump
Thank you very much.
tom emmer
Thank you.
donald j trump
What do you think of this team?
tom emmer
This is the team that set the whole tone for this country back in 1980.
It was the beginning of the great comeback, which, by the way, Donald J. Trump was the next beginning of the great comeback.
So it's perfect that it's both you and this great team from 1980.
donald j trump
Thank you, Tom.
You're doing a fantastic job.
Really a great leader, we appreciate it, friend.
unidentified
And Jackie is a great spouse.
tom emmer
Remember, that's her faith.
donald j trump
That's true.
That's what I have.
And Elise, everybody knows Elise.
She's doing phenomenally well, a really tremendous congresswoman, and she's running for a little position called governor of New York.
She's got a hell of a shot at it.
That's all I can see.
I see polls that look very good.
unidentified
And we could use you in New York.
donald j trump
She's got a little competition with a very good Republican, but she's a great Republican.
So we'll see what happens.
But Elise is respected by everybody, and we appreciate it.
unidentified
Thank you so much, Mr. President.
And as the representative for Lake Placid, this is so meaningful to my constituents.
And we are home of the Miracle on Ice, and it's wonderful to be here with these teammates who just stood so proudly for Team USA.
donald j trump
Thank you.
Thank you, Elise.
unidentified
Thank you.
donald j trump
Please.
ben bergquam
My name is Dan Brooks.
I'm the son of Coach Hurt Brooks.
It's an honor to be here, Mr. President.
tom emmer
My dad, he believed.
ben bergquam
He believed in the American hockey player.
He believed in his country.
He loved this team.
tom emmer
He loved his country.
unidentified
I wish he was here, but it's an honor for me to represent him.
So thank you for having me.
donald j trump
Well, your father was a great guy.
I knew him a little bit, and he was an amazing coach.
What he did was just incredible.
ben bergquam
It was tough, but fair.
donald j trump
He was tough.
Was he tough on you?
unidentified
Yeah.
tom emmer
I would have done 20 years.
donald j trump
But good.
I would say my father was tough, too.
My father was tough, but good.
They were good people.
ben bergquam
It was an honor to be his team.
donald j trump
Thank you very much.
He'd be very proud of you right now.
tom emmer
Rob McLanahan from Minnesota.
mike eruzione
I'm just echoing everybody else's words.
donald j trump
It's an honor to be here.
unidentified
And it's an honor to be a teammate of this great team.
It's all about we, and we're great teammates.
donald j trump
That was really a perfect case of it.
tom emmer
Yep.
donald j trump
That team was a perfect case.
unidentified
Please, I'm honored to be here.
I'm representing my brother Mark who died in 2024.
I know he's looking down with a big smile on his face.
donald j trump
Great player.
ben bergquam
Yeah.
unidentified
And I'm sure I am honored, and I know he would be too.
donald j trump
Thank you very much.
unidentified
Mr. Trump, Dave Christian from World Minnesota, Hockey Town, USA.
Is it still?
donald j trump
It is still, isn't it?
unidentified
It still is.
But it's a privilege and an honor to be here with the greatest teammates anyone could have.
donald j trump
Thank you very much.
Great honor.
Great job.
steve bannon
Mr. President, Mike Ramsey.
unidentified
I'm also from Minnesota and Minneapolis.
steve bannon
It's not hockey town, Minnesota.
unidentified
It's an honor to be here with my teammates and you.
This is awesome.
donald j trump
Thank you.
tom emmer
Great to have you.
unidentified
Thank you very much.
Mr. President, Steve Janisak, also from Minnesota, White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
It's not as big as it sounds.
I backed up Jimmy Craig and want to thank all you guys for the job that you did.
Pleasure to be a part of this team.
Luckiest guy on this team.
Yeah.
donald j trump
Jimmy Craig was pretty good.
unidentified
I knew goaltending and he did awesome drink.
donald j trump
Yeah, it's pretty good.
unidentified
Yeah, it's great.
donald j trump
Thank you very much.
unidentified
Great honor.
Thank you.
Well, I didn't know he had to talk.
steve bannon
What do you think, Phil?
unidentified
I'm speechless, of course, but I'm Phil Ricota, originally from Duluth, Minnesota, and certainly, like all the other gentlemen here, we're having a wonderful, wonderful day.
And just seeing the history of Washington, D.C. and the invitation and the award is Beyond what I could imagine.
donald j trump
Well, it's an honor.
So many people from Minnesota.
That's something.
There's a good hockey.
Good hockey blood, huh?
Oh, yeah.
So many people.
A lot of the team.
Congratulations.
And Minnesota's going to be back, right?
unidentified
It better be back.
donald j trump
It's going to be back.
Going to be back.
You got a little bad governor up there and a couple of other little problems.
But it's going to be back.
And unbelievable people in Minnesota.
45 years ago, this tremendous group of collegiate players and amateurs faced overwhelming odds against the Soviet Union in Lake Placid Winter Olympics.
They said it was the greatest team ever put together, the Soviet team.
They weren't saying that about you, but you were damn good.
And they were saying that team was unbeatable.
The same month, the USSR's hockey team had crushed our squad.
They did an exhibition game of some kind, and it was not pretty, 10 to 3.
And people were not even looking forward to this game, fellas.
I hate to tell you.
They liked it.
That last 10 minutes were not fun.
The Soviets had not lost an Olympic Games since 1968, and they were coming off four straight gold record, gold medals.
In 64, they won the goal 68, 72, and 76.
Other than that, they weren't that good, right?
It wasn't great.
And this was supposed to be the best team that they ever had.
So it wasn't looking too sharp for our great champions behind me.
As one American sportswriter put it at the time, the whole world expected the Soviets to win, quote, unless the ice melts.
So that wasn't a very good statement.
But then it began.
Despite the long odds, the team USA blazed through the group stage, meaning other countries went through them pretty easily, advancing to a long-awaited rematch against the USSLR.
Three times we went down by a goal.
For most of the game, they were down by a goal.
Three times, and then remarkable players put America back on top where we always wanted to be.
Buzz Schneider, he scored the opening goal and a slap shot from 50 feet.
That's a big slap shot.
That's a big pass.
How the hell did that happen?
Was there a goal?
I thought they had a good goal.
unidentified
They did have a good goal.
The pass came across the ice.
steve bannon
I caught him going the other way.
donald j trump
It just happened, right?
America, they call it.
unidentified
America.
donald j trump
Thank you.
That's a long one, right?
How often does a 50-foot shot go in?
Not too much, huh?
That one.
Well, you have a little extra power.
You're a strong.
You were a strong guy.
Oh, that's something.
That puck was hit.
We have a puck here.
Does this mean anything or is this something you just gave us?
steve bannon
I like the FCI hockey puck.
donald j trump
Oh, that's good.
I'll put it here on top of a piece of gold.
In the second period, Jim Craig withstood a barrage of shots on goal and kept the dream alive.
That's the guy, right?
And then after a goal from team captain Mike Aruzzioni, who's a fantastic guy, and I know him from outside of hockey, we play golf.
We were in a golf team together and we happened to win, right?
We won.
unidentified
Yes, we did.
donald j trump
I liked my partner very much.
But he put us up four to three midway through the third.
These fighters held on to the longest 10 minutes of their lives.
They call it the longest, most horrendous, scariest 10 minutes.
Is that true?
unidentified
Absolutely.
donald j trump
Because you couldn't believe that you were there, right?
And they're leading by one, and they got 10 minutes.
And just please, did anybody pray when you pray?
I don't know.
Did you have time to pray?
I don't think you had a lot of time.
mike eruzione
You just had to go up and play.
donald j trump
They're religious guys, but they didn't have a lot of time to pray.
They ran the answer To win one of the greatest comebacks in sports history really was amazing.
The observers in the arena noted it was the first time in his life that he heard the chant USA, USA, USA, which I don't like hearing because I tell people that that had to do with Trump in 2016.
Slightly after your big win, but no longer.
That's the end of that, Brad.
I can't use that one anymore.
But I do remember them doing that exactly.
For a long time, they were doing that.
This team united us and they inspired us.
The United States was brought to a level of sports that they've never seen.
And they brought us Olympic glory that we celebrate to this day.
Nobody thought it was possible.
It really shows that, you know, anything's possible.
Nobody thought that one was possible.
But I want to congratulate you all.
And now I'd like to invite Mike to say a few words.
And then Congressman Stauber, who introduced, and then we're going to speak from a couple of other people.
And I have to tell you, our leader, I have to say that Emmer is a very special leader.
And I want you to maybe wrap it up and say something on behalf of your great state in particular, the country, but your great state in particular, okay?
unidentified
Thanks.
donald j trump
So let's go, Mike.
mike eruzione
Just again, Mr. President, to reiterate what we've all talked about, this is an absolutely incredible honor.
I've said this before.
When you put a USA jersey on, you're playing for your country.
You're not playing for your state, your town, or your city.
And what an honor it was for us to put that jersey on and accomplish what we accomplished.
I've always said the gold medal is something that's incredible, but this is the frosting on the cake to receive an award like this, an honor like this.
Maybe that's the guys.
I don't think there's anything else we can get.
This is just incredible.
donald j trump
There's nothing else.
mike eruzione
This is it.
And thank you for making this happen.
donald j trump
Great.
Thank you, Mike.
unidentified
Thank you, Shibit.
Pete.
Pete?
Yeah.
pete stauber
Mr. President, thank you for signing this piece of legislation.
I first want to say, on behalf of Congress, I want to thank Lee Stefanik and Tom Emmer for being co-sponsors of this piece of legislation.
I also want to thank my staff.
Ali Esau in my office did a tremendous job getting this to be able to pass the House and the Senate.
I want to thank my staff.
And Mr. President, it was 45 years ago, Friday, February 22nd, 1980, that the game of hockey changed.
It was a 5 p.m. game.
It was tape delayed.
Those of us that were hockey players back then, this was a game changer.
We couldn't find that USA jersey anywhere.
It was sold out wherever it was.
And so I'm very proud to have led this.
And I would be remiss if I didn't introduce my younger brother, Rob, who was the gold medal coach for the 2018 Women's Olympic gold medal team in Pyeongchang.
And Robbie's right over there.
donald j trump
Hi, Rob.
Nice to see you.
pete stauber
So, Mr. President, I will just say that I'm in awe of these hockey heroes.
And as we move forward, they changed the game of hockey.
It was a powerful, dominant performance that this country needed.
They beat the powerhouse Soviets.
And as you know, you're continuing to do that today.
And this was a great start of it.
And for me, I'm very just privileged and proud to stand with these Olympic heroes that literally changed a nation and gave us the strength that we needed at the time our nation needed it.
And to know these men here, they're humble.
The humility is through the roof.
And I just want to thank you for signing this.
This means a lot to me personally, but it means more to the team.
When I talked to him this afternoon, As Mike just said, it's the cherry on top of what they did for this country.
And thank you for signing up, and I appreciate it.
unidentified
Well, we love it.
donald j trump
And he was a really great hockey player, too.
So let me ask you a question.
Was your brother in this category of hockey play or slightly less?
unidentified
You want to answer that?
pete stauber
He was fine.
He was better than I.
He was better than me.
Robbie was a goaltender in the National Hockey League as well.
donald j trump
Wow, that's pretty good.
pete stauber
It's much better than me.
donald j trump
That's a lot of good genetics in this all day, but you were a hell of a player, too.
pete stauber
Thank you, Mr. President.
donald j trump
Thank you, people.
mike eruzione
So, we're going to have one more.
We would like to do one more thing.
donald j trump
Sure.
mike eruzione
Take a photo with our hats off.
unidentified
Yes.
donald j trump
Okay, let's go.
unidentified
Mike, Minnesota used to wear hats.
Okay, straighten it out.
donald j trump
Make a good one.
You have Dan.
Let's go, Dan.
Get with it.
Get with it, Dan.
Oh, there we go.
Morgan Weissy has a good photography.
You got it a little off guard.
unidentified
Can you move the collapse up a little bit, please?
Can we all move in on just a little bit, Tank?
donald j trump
It's a good photo.
unidentified
Good idea.
donald j trump
So we're going to finish up with Tom Emmer and he's been just a fantastic a fantastic congressman, leader, person from Minnesota, loves that state.
Why do you love that state?
And they love you equally as much.
Please.
tom emmer
Thank you, Mr. President.
First, I got to thank Pete Stauber as he's talking about humility.
Pete Stauber actually was in the White House as a national championship captain of a national championship hockey team back in the 1980s.
So this runs in the blood in Minnesota.
This runs in our blood in Minnesota, but it's not about Minnesota, even though I will point out most of the guys are from Minnesota.
But that's not the point.
It doesn't matter if it's Massachusetts, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, wherever players came from back then, they were all Americans.
That's what mattered, and they were an inspiration.
You know what it means to my state?
It shows us that no matter how bad it gets, there's always a way to succeed if you're willing to try.
I think Mike Aruzzioni said it earlier.
If you think you're going to lose, you're probably not going to win.
If you think you're going to compete and you're going to give it everything you've got, these men who are standing here and their colleagues who are not here, God bless them, those who couldn't be here and those who have departed, they reached the ultimate peak.
And when they did it, as Pete pointed out, they lifted an entire country out of the ditch and set us off to an amazing several decades that followed.
And it's not much unlike the 47th president of the United States.
So I think it's entirely appropriate that you're doing this for these men.
You're really doing it for the country.
And God bless you, because Minnesota, I think, is going to experience a comeback.
donald j trump
No, they're going to do it.
Minnesota is going to come back.
I'm so impressed that so many of these champions come from Minnesota.
It's amazing.
It's a great place.
Thank you very much.
tom emmer
We engineered it.
steve bannon
Let me just go for a second.
Let me just go for a second to Mike Lindell.
Mike Lindell, you're from Minnesota.
You just heard Tom Emmers.
Half the team was from Minnesota.
What does it mean for you, sir, that are now running for governor of Minnesota to see so many people there?
Back in those days, I guess Minnesota dominated the teams, right?
mike lindell
Right, absolutely.
Well, you know, we've got to make Minnesota great again, too.
We've got a long way to go now, Steve, with what's going on here.
It's terrible, and I like the encouragement that everybody's got that it can be done.
With God, all things are possible, everybody.
steve bannon
Talk to me about your feelings back then in 80, the miracle on ice.
You got Tom members to help push this legislation through.
He's the whip.
He's from Minnesota.
I think three quarters of the guys right there sounded like from the Olympic team was Minnesota.
I mean, President Trump was joking about it.
mike lindell
Yeah, no, I think most of your hockey players come from Minnesota.
I think we're number one in the nation.
And that's what we grow up.
I played hockey when I was a kid.
So the Miracle on Ice was a big deal to me back then, I'll tell you.
You know, that's what we did up here.
And we did it.
We didn't have indoor rinks and stuff, but we learned how to play in the cold.
We learned how to skate.
We learned how to play hockey.
And that was a big deal back then and real important to the nation and to Minnesota.
But these very exciting times.
steve bannon
Talk to me about my pillow.
We got a minute or two here.
I know you yesterday was a great kickoff.
You're separating out.
You're doing your politics on one thing and my pillow here on the war room.

You're already one day in and you're already losing your voice.
Make sure you take care of it.
mike lindell
Absolutely.
steve bannon
Okay, John Case, who is Tina Peters' other lawyer, was going to be on.
He told me there was an emergency that came up in her case, not with Tina, but in her case.
He had to step away.
John Case is going to join us at the top of the show tomorrow.
He's going to walk us through the President of the United States.
President Trump has, you know, pardon her at a federal level.
The media is mocking that.
The governor says he's not going to do anything.
John Case has other ideas.
Tina Peters' team is on this 24-7.
Turn you now over.
We're going to turn over.
We got Ben Harnwell at 6 o'clock.
We're going to leave you with the right stuff.
Export Selection
