steve bannon
This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
Pray for our enemies.
Because we're going medieval on these people.
Here's not got a free shot on all these networks lying about the people.
The people have had a belly full of it.
I know you don't like hearing that.
I know you're trying to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it.
It's going to happen.
jake tapper
And where do people like that go to share the big line?
MAGA Media.
I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
steve bannon
Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
jake tapper
Stephen K. Ban.

Stephen K. Ban.
Welcome to the late afternoon, early evening edition.
steve bannon
The second hour of the late afternoon early edition, early evening edition of the war room.
Excited and honored to have the great Michael Walsh join us, but on your 39th birthday?
michael walsh
That's it.
39th birthday, correct.
steve bannon
Well, happy birthday.
We don't do a lot of birthdays here in the war room.
Happy 39th.
You're actually, people won't believe this.
You're actually 76?
michael walsh
76 today, yeah.
steve bannon
76.
michael walsh
That is correct.
unidentified
Yeah.
steve bannon
Andrew Breitbart's first, you were the first editor of one of the bigs.
michael walsh
Big journalists.
steve bannon
Big journalism.
Yeah, we created that Andrew and I. Which is a great story.
One of the CPACs, I think we're going to roll out all the big editors, all the editors, the bigs.
And did you have a heart attack?
unidentified
I did.
michael walsh
I had a heart attack.
Yeah.
Right here in Washington.
steve bannon
Right over the old, where we used to do CPAC before we went to National Harbor.
michael walsh
Yeah, I wound up in GW Hospital, and my life was saved by Dr. John Reiner at GW Medical Center.
steve bannon
Unbelievable.
Did that start?
Did you actually feel pain in your chest and just knew something was going to go on as CPAC's about to start?
michael walsh
It was in the middle of the night, that first night at CPAC.
Yeah.
And then you feel it.
It's a very distinctive feeling.
And if you live through it, you'll never forget it.
unidentified
Yeah.
michael walsh
Unless it kills you.
steve bannon
What's the feeling?
michael walsh
Pressure.
steve bannon
Pressure on your chest.
michael walsh
Pressure on you.
Not painful at all.
Pressure.
steve bannon
Just pressure.
Like a car sitting on you.
michael walsh
Like an elephant stepping on you.
Yeah.
steve bannon
That's what Andrew had later.
That's when he went in the middle of the morning.
michael walsh
I know he did.
And I hate when people, listen, Andrew and I talked about this constantly.
And he came to see me in the hospital like the next morning.
And I said, Andrew, now look at me.
I'm 20 years older than you are.
I'm a voice from the future.
You've got to be careful.
And that next summer, he said, I was just at UCLA Medical Center.
I had all those procedures done.
I've got some heart conditions.
And then he died.
steve bannon
Well, but it happened because he called us.
You know, he lived right around the corner from Geffen and from the medical centers, UCLA.
He lived right there on Veterans Avenue.
Right.
He had the exact same thing.
He called us in the middle of the night.
He said, I feel like I got a Volkswagen bus sitting on my chest.
That's when they took him over and found out Andrew was adopted.
He didn't really know who his parents were.
I mean, he knew his parents were, but they didn't have the studies about what his parents had gone through.
And this was a congenital heart disease that he had.
And he spent 10 back in, as you know, to keep a guy in the hospital a week is extraordinary.
And they did every test in the world and they came out with a punch list that said, Andrew, you have to change your life.
You have to change your lifestyle.
michael walsh
Yes.
steve bannon
And you obviously changed your lifestyle.
Andrew tried to change, but it was Andrew Breitbart at the end of the day.
michael walsh
He couldn't stop.
steve bannon
Couldn't stop.
michael walsh
You and I have both known him for years and years and years.
But that's why I don't like to hear people say, well, was he murdered?
No, he died of a heart attack.
It's that simple.
steve bannon
And it shows you that you've got to take those lessons like you did when you had the heart attack.
You pretty much changed your lifestyle.
michael walsh
I changed a lot.
I'm still, I have to go undergo surgery again in about a month or so.
I need to bypass.
unidentified
Okay.
steve bannon
You're going to do it here?
michael walsh
I think I'll probably do it here.
steve bannon
So you split your time now, and that's what we had the footage at the beginning, is Ireland's on fire right now because of, I guess, a rape of a young girl, but all this issue about unlimited immigration and no man's deportation is all that.
I want to get to a site.
You split your time now between Ireland and rural New England.
So talk to me about Ireland.
You're one of the great observers of political movements.
I think, particularly for Irish Americans like myself here, we're kind of shocked because there's so many Irish Americans, us dumb mix, in the MA movement.
Big foundation of the MA movement is basically people I would call Irish revolutionaries or Irish Republicans, yet our home country, it just seems like this political class there has sold them out so badly, and they're so progressive, and they just don't care what the people have to say.
And these elections seem like I can't understand why more nationalistic candidates can't get traction.
michael walsh
There aren't any.
I would say this.
It's very broad strokes, but I'm at the position of my life where I get to do breakfast.
76, you can say whatever you want, actually.
And I like when people call me, sir, now, this is nice.
I appreciate that.
One of the jokes is that all the best people, all the best Irishmen got on a boat and came here.
And as a result, they don't like us at all, Steve.
The diaspora, they don't like us.
steve bannon
Oh, interesting.
michael walsh
We think they were too dumb to get on the boat.
They think we sold them out and ran and cut grade.
And then, oh, look at you, you big fat mix.
Now you're in America and you're rich and famous and you blah, blah, blah.
And Patty's still pulling a plow.
So there's this huge resentment.
And I'm trying to bridge that and with some Irish patriots who you and I will talk about off the air and try to get the movement started there because Ireland is run by a racket.
Two parties that are the same party.
They used to be separate, but now they're identical.
It's run by beta males and women mostly.
Some gay men to Leo Varadkar, the first gay Taoiseach, for example.
steve bannon
Beta men and beta men and alpha women.
michael walsh
Alpha women, yeah.
And now we have two bag ladies running for president.
That's what they look like to me, bag ladies.
There's no choice of candidates.
And the biggest thing in Ireland right now, which is the presidential electorate coming up in a day or two, spoil your vote.
Don't vote for either one of them.
That this is the way to show protest.
It's being organized by Declan Ganley, who you know and who I know.
And Declan is a very, very persuasive advocate of just mark your ballot whatever you want, but don't vote for either of the two female approved candidates the racket is selling.
And it's run as a three-legged racket.
And you know, one thing the Irish are good at.
We run rackets.
See Tammany Hall.
steve bannon
Tammany, I was going to say, James Michael Curley.
michael walsh
Oh, yeah.
In St. Louis, in Kansas City, in New York, everywhere.
And so Ireland is run as a racket.
It's got these two parties that are the same party, and then it has a bunch of splinter parties that they deliberately keep powerless and impotent.
Then it has the media.
It owns the state media.
So the state media will not report anything.
If they've had a word about these riots, about the little girl that was raped by what we are told is a North African or African Arabic-speaking immigrant who has already been issued a deportation order, but wasn't.
steve bannon
But it's still in the country.
michael walsh
Yeah, but they're all still in the country.
Because they're not serious about this.
And the third leg of the racket is the NGOs, which act as big money laundering operations for setting government policy the government can't technically set.
So you're up against this huge machine, and it's very difficult for patriots and nationalists and populists and people who love Ireland to do anything about it.
And the point I've been making is the Irish nation, that's you and me and all the other patties that we know here in America and around the world, is bigger than the Irish state.
And that the people who run the Irish state do not have the right to ruin the Irish nation.
They do not have it, and we will stop them because it's, there's 40 million of us here in America, for God's sakes.
There's only 5 million Irish, and there was 4 million five minutes ago until they opened up the floodgates of immigration.
So we aim to stop this.
And I will do, as I move into this latter part of my life here, I will try to be an advocate for the old country.
steve bannon
You're going to dedicate a big part of it.
Coming out of England this week, but kind of towards what we're trying to fight for, the new thing that they're saying in England as Nigel Farage and Tommy Robinson and others try to fight back and take political control, that this is all about, and they're starting to arrest people on various charges in England for what they call cultural nationalism.
michael walsh
Yes.
steve bannon
That's the new bogeyman, right?
That your culture nationalists put in the future.
michael walsh
But you can fly a flag, for example.
steve bannon
Fly a flag, exactly.
Put that in context of Ireland and taking back the Irish nation from the Irish state.
michael walsh
Well, you are seeing a lot of Irish flags up now, and the government says they are basically racist.
steve bannon
Hold on, the government of Ireland is saying that that beloved Irish flag is basically a sign that you're a far right.
michael walsh
Remember, there are no conservatives in Ireland.
There's only the far right.
And the far right is anybody who believes in the country.
steve bannon
And then everybody that's acceptable.
michael walsh
Yeah.
You're beyond the pale of popular acceptable opinions.
So the flag has become a symbol now, which willy-nilly, and you see it in England where the actual English flag, as opposed to the St. George's flag, is now flying everywhere.
And this is a way of the people.
steve bannon
They fly the Union Jack sometimes, but the real nationalists are starting to fly the flag of the English flag.
michael walsh
Exactly right.
So I am a great advocate of reconstituting the Irish state.
I think we should just take the six counties and tell the British they're now ours.
What are you going to do about it?
steve bannon
The six counties to the north.
michael walsh
That's it.
Northern Ireland is now part of the entire country.
And if you don't like it, what are you going to do?
Send all the troops to Popaz to stop us.
they won't do it because they don't care.
Two is to get a new constitution with a strong...
steve bannon
Would the six counties support that?
michael walsh
I I think they wouldn't have any choice.
They're on the same island, you know.
There's no physical barrier anymore.
And only two of the six counties have projects.
steve bannon
That's one of the issues with Brexit, right?
Because they would use that, the whole thing between Ireland and the northern counties.
michael walsh
It's one of the reasons we have an immigration problem, too, because the immigrants will go to England first and then to Belfast, and then they just come right over the border.
And then they say, here we are, give us free stuff.
I'll give you an example.
Right at the beginning of the Ukrainian war, we decided to take in Ukrainians.
So my little village of Lisdon Varna has 600 people in it.
unidentified
We now have a John Ford movie.
michael walsh
It's close to.
steve bannon
It's the quiet man.
You're the new quiet man.
Of course, you're not quiet, but you're the new quiet man.
michael walsh
I am the new quiet man.
Well, we have 600 people in it still, but we also have 900 Ukrainians.
steve bannon
Will you stop?
michael walsh
No, 900.
steve bannon
They took in 900 Ukrainians?
But doesn't the government understand that's going to totally change the culture of that little village?
michael walsh
I would say that is the purpose of it, yes.
That is the purpose.
And now the Ukrainians are going to eventually go home.
Are you sure?
Maybe.
We pay everything for them.
steve bannon
What do you mean pay everything?
The Irish government does?
michael walsh
Yes.
They show up at the post office, they get free money, several hundred bucks a week.
They can bring their cars and drive on the wrong side of the road.
They don't have to register their car.
I have to register my car every time I turn around.
I'd have to pay a motor tax.
They don't have to pay.
steve bannon
Why are people not outraged by that?
michael walsh
Well, people are, but there's no way to express it.
This is my problem with Patty, who stayed at home.
Patty, who stays at home, will grumble about it, but he won't do anything about it because he's not troublemakers like you and me.
steve bannon
Wow, that's unbelievable.
michael walsh
It's very sad, Steve.
steve bannon
So you're saying the entire Irish culture, not just what we know of immigrants from North Africa or Syria, but also from places like Ukraine, have just flooded the country.
michael walsh
They have, yeah.
They have.
steve bannon
And although the people feel aggrieved, they don't think there's any, there's a permission structure they still feel they have to get approval from so nothing happens.
michael walsh
To object is to be a racist, and no Irishman wants to be called a race.
It is the dirtiest, deadliest, career-ending slur in the country.
unidentified
Wow.
michael walsh
You're not allowed to be a racist.
steve bannon
Wow.
Well, not that they are racist, to be called a racist, though.
They call all of us xenophobes, nativists, racists.
If you can't blow past that, you shouldn't be in this business.
michael walsh
We just have to stand up.
But it's going to be a process.
And fighting the media is really part of it.
steve bannon
Because there is no media.
All the media is state-owned.
michael walsh
They're all state-owned.
They all sing from the same hymnal.
steve bannon
We only got a limited amount of time.
I'll hold you by the breakback.
Two other things.
So now that you're 76 and you're getting involved in Irish politics, obviously you're very big here in the MAGA movement.
Your writings, you're going to do less day-to-day reportage and more overview or big pieces.
michael walsh
Well, yeah, one of the things that we've done is we've reinstituted our company called the Impromator Group, which we had up and running a bit during the first Trump administration.
So that is going to be basically the view from 35,000 feet.
It's going to be working directly with candidates to improve their presentations and make them smarter.
steve bannon
Their media skills.
michael walsh
Their media skills, yes, indeed.
And the third thing is to look to the future.
I mean, we're in the Trump era now, but the Trump era will stop.
And after that, what comes out of the deluge, basically.
So is it going to be?
steve bannon
We want the Trump age to continue at least through 28.
I'm the head of the Trump 28 campaign.
unidentified
I'd like to continue to the last day of my last day on Earth.
michael walsh
Exactly.
But together, if people would like to find out more, they can write to us at imprimatur.co.
steve bannon
Okay, fine.
Impromater.co right now.
michael walsh
CO.
steve bannon
CO.
They can go to that right now.
michael walsh
Yeah.
steve bannon
They'll find out more about that.
michael walsh
The website just.
Everyone who's involved in it is there, and it will be, it may be under construction for a bit, but it's under renewal.
steve bannon
Just tell me, we'll give back up.
Okay, I got 10 minutes, and I've got to talk about the books.
Yeah, you have The War Room is a huge supporter of your writing endeavors.
michael walsh
Absolutely.
steve bannon
Talk about the last couple of books, and are you continuing on at kind of that, it seems like an arc of an overall story you're trying to tell us?
michael walsh
Well, it is, Steve.
You know, when you get to a certain age, now you're still a young representative.
steve bannon
I'm a young ripper.
michael walsh
So you're still wet behind the ears.
But listen to the old man talk to you.
Yes, sir.
steve bannon
Yes, sir.
michael walsh
Good.
I like that.
I talked to the Army Navy Club the other night, and I had all those admirals and generals in the audience, which was great.
You begin to realize you can't be a Roman legionary your whole life.
Even the legionaries only did it for 20 years.
And then they retired, and they got land in Italy somewhere.
And Caesar conquered enough people to pay them, and off you went.
steve bannon
But that was the deal you made.
If you joined the legions, if you lived for 20 years and did your duty, you would be a farmer, retired in Portugal, Spain, or somewhere.
michael walsh
Tuscany?
steve bannon
Tuscany, somewhere nice.
michael walsh
Sounds nice.
So I'm kind of retiring to Tuscany in a way, but what I can do is to put the pieces together.
So you've been kind enough with Last Stands.
That really helped make that a surprise bestseller for St. Martin's Press.
steve bannon
Well, it's a fabulous book.
michael walsh
Thank you.
Thank you.
And then the new one is called A Rage to Conquer.
Yes.
And that is a little more dense.
It's a little thicker.
It gets more deeply into the peripheral issues around each battle.
And now I'm working on the Wrath of God, which is a history of religious warfare from the opening of the Bible to the present day.
So it actually will come full circle in the Middle East.
steve bannon
So the arc of this story is Last Stands, which you talk about the famous Last Stands in history, and you do it in a way that's so vivid and brings to life.
Then you've got Rage to Conquer, which is talk about these major battles, but some of the issues that people, if you've ever read about them before, you're bringing aspects of them people don't know about.
michael walsh
Correct.
steve bannon
And now the story continues with the wrath of God.
And Wrath of God is particularly looking at religious battles around religious warfare.
michael walsh
Yes, religious warfare.
steve bannon
So I take I'm going to get Vienna.
I'm going to get some of the famous Roland on the retreat from Spain.
michael walsh
Well, we did.
Roland did the last stands.
He got his innings.
But we're going to do the Albigensian Crusade, for example, which was Christians against heretical Christians, where the phrase, kill them all, let God sort them out.
steve bannon
This is the Cathars.
unidentified
The Cathars, a quite interesting Christian cult.
michael walsh
Yes, and they felt they had to wipe them out literally to the last man.
steve bannon
To the last man.
unidentified
Yeah.
michael walsh
Which they did at Bezier and other places.
Obviously, we're going to start with the Israelites and the Canaanites, in which God says, take the landslaughter every man, woman, child, and donkey in the place, and it's yours.
It is the promised land to you.
developing the list of battles now and we'll go forward from there but I think what drove what drove this idea Why pick the battles?
steve bannon
Because you're very good, and this is why I'd like you to take battles, particularly people, even people who love history and military history, think they know, but you put a different aspect on it.
Like Last Stands, you read every one of those and they jump out of it.
Gosh, I didn't know that.
Same with Rage to Conquer.
What was it about the religious battles that you felt hadn't been told before?
michael walsh
I'll tell you because it's something you learn as a writer as you go.
Most writing is being surprised by what you suddenly realize you need to know, and then you go find it.
In so many of these battles that we've talked about, in both Last Stance and Rage, each side felt that God was on its side.
And if it lost, it attributed its loss not to military ineptitude or bad luck, but to insufficient fidelity to their God.
So that when the Christians lost, we weren't faithful enough to Jesus.
We had to march around them.
We have to sing hymns.
We have to find the Holy Lance at Antioch.
When the Muslims lost, they said, we have let Allah down.
We are not worthy of him.
We're horrible people.
And so we have to try harder.
And I start the new book by saying religion is not, as some people say, the cause of all wars.
Wars are the cause of all religions.
They spring from warfare.
Example one, the Iliad.
Suddenly, it's a war between gods and among gods that humans participate in.
So the need for a deity seems to go hand in hand with the need for military ability.
steve bannon
Are you doing also, are you going to do the Gita?
Are you going to do the famous battles of other religions?
No, I stick to the Judeo-Christian West.
michael walsh
Mostly, except that I'm doing the Taiping Rebellion in China.
steve bannon
It's one of my favorites.
michael walsh
Well, because it tells us so much about the Chinese.
I have a lot to say about Chinese, the Chinese.
steve bannon
And you're going to have the ever-victorious army.
michael walsh
Led by General Gordon.
steve bannon
And General Gordon.
And they had the great American mercenary that came over from Failed or West Point.
michael walsh
Oh, yeah.
Well, who was that?
I've forgotten his name.
steve bannon
Ward Townsend.
Ward Townsend.
michael walsh
Townsend.
unidentified
Yeah.
steve bannon
Just an incredible story.
michael walsh
So we have lucky.
steve bannon
He died with the ever-victorious army.
michael walsh
Did he?
steve bannon
Yeah, he died before when Gordon had taken command.
He was one of the field commanders.
michael walsh
But what people don't know about that, they think it's a Chinese Civil War.
No, the guy that started the war said he was the brother of Jesus Christ.
steve bannon
Well, in Canton, he had taken the examination to get into the civil service.
It was all Confucian.
And the family was very poor, and they put it up.
And of course, when he failed the first time, he just, you're finished.
The mother was so insistent and said, no, no, no, my son's very special.
We've got to do it again.
They did it again, put all their money into it, and then he failed the second time.
So now it's like they're in a dilemma.
And the mother says, no, we're going to try one more time.
On the way, I think, to take the test, a Baptist missionary gives him a tract of what Baptist missionaries were all over Canton at the time.
And after he took the test that night, I think he realized he wasn't going to pass.
And so that's when he had the vision that Jesus came to him in his vision and said, you're my brother.
And so he, this shows you the power of evangelical Christianity in China.
It is why the Chinese Communist Party will put down, you know, there's 100 million Christians in China right now, church, underground Christians, House Christians, and Catholics.
And the reason is they saw it catch a prior fire.
Folks, you have to understand, there were Baptist missionaries, Methodist missionaries, Episcopers, a handful of priests, but Christianity and Catholicism had not caught fire.
This guy starts preaching the word of God as he interpreted.
He had a 25-man million army in a couple years.
The scale of Taiping Rebellion is stupefying.
And the death toll is 30 million people dead or something like that.
michael walsh
I don't even know.
steve bannon
Yes, it's humongous.
And it happened during our Civil War, but the scale of it was so, and that's what they're afraid of.
They're afraid of evangelical Christianity just catching fire.
michael walsh
Well, this is why.
steve bannon
So tell me about your process.
Your process, I think people want to know.
We've got a couple minutes left.
michael walsh
Sure.
steve bannon
Your process is to get a topic that you fall in love with.
michael walsh
That you have to fall in love with.
steve bannon
Because you're going to spend a couple years of your life.
michael walsh
You're going to spend years of your life with years.
steve bannon
First off, last stands.
When that finally came to print, how many years had that been in work?
michael walsh
Three or four.
steve bannon
Three or four years of research first and then writing.
michael walsh
Yes, yeah.
Because you don't start out an expert in a subject.
You become an expert by writing a book about it.
So who do you fall in love with it and then you go, I got to know every single thing about this.
And whatever rabbit hole you go down, you chase it right to the end.
steve bannon
Then at some point, you have to have the discipline to say, I've done my research.
I've got to look at the blank page.
And that's the hardest part when it's showtime.
And then what is your process?
Do you get up in the morning and write a couple hours?
Are you constant throughout the day?
michael walsh
Before this recent heart trouble, I was writing late, late into the night.
Sometimes I start around 6 o'clock.
steve bannon
And then go.
michael walsh
Until 2 or 3 in the morning.
Right.
But that's just too hard on me now.
So I'm trying to write it more reasonably.
We'll see.
We'll see.
Because I haven't started writing Wrath yet.
I've got tons of people.
steve bannon
Are you still in the research phase of Wrath?
michael walsh
Yeah.
Oh, yeah, yeah, very much so.
steve bannon
We should anticipate Wrath would be possible.
michael walsh
27.
steve bannon
Summer 27.
michael walsh
Maybe the summer or fall of 27.
steve bannon
People are looking forward to that already.
Your process.
How many hours a day is it?
You're one of these guys who says, I got to do a thousand words every day, or is it you just let it flow?
michael walsh
I let it flow.
I work a 24-hour cycle as a writer.
And you know, I should add that I've become a concert pianist again.
steve bannon
It's unbelievable.
michael walsh
And I'm a master.
You just did a concert in L.A. Yep.
I'm about to leave for London.
I'll do one in London.
I'll do two in Budapest.
And then I'll come back and have hearts.
steve bannon
How do people get access to your musical work?
michael walsh
I don't know.
steve bannon
You're one of these multi-talented Irish creative artists, right?
michael walsh
Well, hack of all trades, I don't know.
I don't know.
steve bannon
Is your music up anywhere?
michael walsh
No, I guess there's videos of the concert.
Karen Siegmund's American Freedom Alliance sponsored that.
Yes.
And I want conservatives, if I could just get this in.
We need to be more culturally aware.
We can't just sit around talking politics and turn into groipers and geeks.
steve bannon
No, no, it has to be Roger Kimball and everybody.
Because we need to preserve the traditional culture.
We're only people who are going to do it ourselves.
michael walsh
Well, that's if I can mention our company again, this Impromator Company, the Impromator Group, it's called, and impromater.co, not.com.
We'll have a full-fledged story.
steve bannon
Well, you just get to me.
When you get the site, we'll blow it out there as we always do.
michael walsh
We'll come back on.
That would be great.
But we want to educate our people in what are we fighting for?
It's not just an eggshell, as you say, in Hamlet.
It's the world.
And we have to know what the past is in order to know the future.
steve bannon
What is your social media handles?
Twitter?
michael walsh
Twitter, I am the amanuensis.
steve bannon
Okay, only I would love.
michael walsh
Only I would be the amanuensis.
steve bannon

Look, honor, always an honor to have you in the future.
Particularly when you're in town, it's just great to have you.

That's great.
michael walsh
Thank you for that.
steve bannon

He's got advice to the President of the United States about the shutdown.
Also, we're going to go to Idaho.
What in the hell is Qatar got a naval, got an Air Force base or reworked facility training pilots in the great state of Idaho?
unidentified
All next.

Okay, from the center of power in Washington, D.C. to Idaho, we're going to cover all this in the back half of the show.
Dave Bossi joins me, a colleague, friend, brother in arms.
Dave, you're in the daily caller today.
And by the way, keep these columns you're doing there, these thought pieces are, I love them.
And it kind of shocks, I know it shocks the audience knowing Bossi, he's taking a very hard line here.
What's your advice to the president on the shutdown, sir?
david bossie
Steve, we have to take this opportunity to just dismantle and destroy Obamacare.
That's really what the opportunity that Chuck Schumer and these hardcore radical leftists are giving us.
Let's take the opportunity.
Steve, you and I have been doing this a long time.
We said back when Obamacare was first being foisted upon the American people, guys like you and me were mocked for saying this entire Obamacare scheme is being created to fail.
They designed it to get to today.
25, 30 years ago, they designed it to get to where we are right now, to bankrupt it, to make sure it goes to a single-payer socialized medicine program.
And that's what this has always been about.
That's what the left has always wanted.
And that's why they're fighting, kicking, screaming over this government shutdown.
That's why they want this $1.5 trillion additional dollars that we don't have as a country to be able to afford for illegals and for this continued propping up of Obamacare.
steve bannon
The first big prop-up came during the pandemic, correct?
And then afterwards, they just want to extend this.
But here's the question: because we're going to go to Idaho next.
If you look throughout the country in some of the most MAGA districts, people are needing, I don't know what, Medicaid and or Obamacare, some part of it, to actually have babies have basic health.
So, what is the alternative?
I know we don't want to do this.
And quite frankly, the president, I think, just digs in because of the illegal alien part of it alone.
Schumer's got there's nothing to negotiate.
I don't mind Johnson not being here to negotiate that or Thun taking a hard line.
But if this is clearly going to be an issue, you know, before they're talking about one of your CR right now, too, I think to avoid this, but at some point in time, you know, we remember we took it down 40 times, Dave, in Obama's time.
The House did, voted, I think, 45 times.
As soon as we took power, and you were very involved with this, we tried to come up with alternatives.
And of course, John McCain screwed the president of the United States and even Mitch McConnell in the dark of night.
So what is the alternative that you're proposing?
david bossie
Well, let's just take a step back because this is really where we have to focus our energy as an organization, as the grassroots.
And that is that pre-COVID spending has to be our focus.
We have to get back.
Look, we were in about a $4.4 trillion annual budget.
We are now over $7 trillion annually now, Steve.
It is unsustainable.
It is unaffordable.
We do not have it.
So we can talk about all these wonderful pie in the sky programs we want, including some people on the left want Obamacare.
We cannot afford it.
And so we have to get back to choice.
And I'm a free market guy.
And I think that if we get back to the choice discussion about giving people options within their health care, that's going to be what really brings costs down and will give people better access to better medical care.
But this is a conversation that has to begin now.
I say this is what my position is.
Let's flip the script on Chuck Schumer.
Let's not talk about this $1.5, $1.6 trillion for illegals and for propping up this increased rates that we have to pay on Obamacare.
Let's strip Obamacare down and make it so that we get back to a free market system, not a socialized medicine system.
That will disrupt, you talk about being a disruptor that Donald Trump is.
That's where we would be headed.
steve bannon
This is written, I believe, as I read it.
I said, Bossi sending a message to the weak rhinos who right now want to go negotiate, but they're even prepared to have a conversation with the illegal, the way the backdoor illegal alien payment for their medical costs are.
Well, we're trying to do mass deportations.
This is one of the key things you have to take away.
Do you think there's anything as you see right now to negotiate, as long as the Democrats even have that in there and have all this phony language to have a backdoor into here?
Do you see any need at all even to have a negotiation with Schumer until they come off that point?
david bossie
There should be absolutely no negotiation on this point, Steve.
We are at a point in time here.
This is an inflection point in American history.
We cannot bow down to these radical leftists.
We must fight them at every single turn.
And this is a fight worth having.
This is what the proverbial hill to die on.
This is one of them.
We must gain control of our financial health and future as a country.
And Steve, you and I have been spouting these things for many, many years now, decades even.
And this is a fight that we have to have.
And because of President Trump's courageous leadership, and to be quite honest, Mike Johnson and the leadership in the House that he is given, I mean, to not have these members in and is a strategic victory that really Mike Johnson is solely responsible for.
And I thank him every day for it.
Because if you had these House members on the floor every day, you would be having capitulation and fights over capitulation to the left because they would feel the pressure.
And this way they don't.
And by the way, this is a shutdown that the country, other than the air traffic controllers, this is a shutdown that America is really not seeing at this point.
steve bannon
Yes, no, it's a few.
By the way, I'll have you back on our first film together, made in 2009, released in 2010, Generation Zero.
The economist finally caught up with it, the coming debt emergency.
Dave, I'll have you back on to talk about all that because right now, you talk about $4 trillion.
The budget, we're taking in about $5 trillion in revenue.
So if we even get back to the four, four and a half trillion, we'd be in surplus.
So we're taking in $5 trillion.
That doesn't include, I think, all the tariffs.
So let's say $5.5 trillion.
We got to get the spending back to that.
Bossy, where do people go to find all your films and your social media?
david bossie
Yeah, thank you.
Look, we're staring at a $38 trillion deficit.
Steve, this is unsustainable.
You and I both have been saying this.
We've been ringing this bell for a very long time, since Generation Zero.
And so people go and go to Citizens United.
We have an app with all of our films on it.
You can go to David underscore Bossy on Twitter, on Getter, and True Social.
So please go follow us and get a chance to read the important article today in the Daily Caller.
steve bannon
Brother, thank you.
Keep those columns coming.
They're amazing.
Over the Daily Caller, one of the great news sites out there.
Thank you, sir.
Thanks, Steve.
As you know, in our coverage, one of the things that's upsetting us to no end is the situation with the Muslim Brotherhood and Qatar.
And obviously, they have a big role in the Middle East and have been kind of invited in and they're all over this Gaza situation.
But something popped up that was quite shocking.
I think the Article 5 that President Trump gave them, understand that that had a geostrategic reason to it to kind of give them the NATO, you know, attack upon Qatar's attack upon the United States.
But then right after that was about this, about an Air Force base going to be turned over to Qatar, either going to buy it, take it over.
Now the Pentagon's backed off a lot.
I want to bring in Representative Heather Scott from the Idaho House and Senator Brian Lenny.
Folks, Heather, I'll start with you and then I'll go to Brian.
People around the country are kind of confused.
What in the hell is going on up in Idaho?
They've got ability to train pilots.
We've trained Saudis.
We've trained when I was in OCS going to the Navy.
I think we had 500 Iranians, Persians at Newport that as soon as they became officers after 90 to 100 days, they went to, I think it was San Antonio, Texas to learn how to fly.
We have tons of places around the country.
I think San Antonio is still the center that teaches foreign pilots to fly.
Why are we giving them an Air Force base up in northern Idaho, ma'am?
heather scott
Well, it's a military training facility, and we're currently training with other countries and we're training with Singapore, but Singapore isn't funding Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.
That's where we're just overwhelmed with this news.
steve bannon
So I know they're training other Air Forces or other fighter pilots.
Is this influx supposed to like double the capacity?
I take it they're not actually going to sell them the air, sell them the Air Force base.
They're just going to bring them in, I guess, as a rework facility from the jets or maintenance and to train the pilots.
heather scott
Well, they're bringing in 12 F 15 fighter jets and 300 personnel.
And they're going to have to get housing because we're already maxed out with our housing in Mountain Home.
Mountain Home is a small community.
It's not a huge city.
It's about 17,000.
And so it's just, I don't know.
I mean, we have been discussing this off the air, and we understand that there's injustice in the world.
And we know that the president wants global peace, but these interventions outside of our country as a global empire, it is literally, we are going to pay the price in Idaho.
And that's, we just can't afford it.
We have been dealing with refugee resettlement.
We've been dealing with all these outsiders and illegals pumped into our cities.
And when we heard this news, we were just sickened, especially because we value our sovereignty so much in our state.
And it's just hard.
unidentified
I mean, we're just really, really upset about it.
steve bannon
Senator Lenny, Brian, The house, the representative just told us, Scott told us about you've already had resettlement.
I think you've had an issue with Somalians.
They've used Idaho essentially trying to use it.
It seems to me sometimes as a dumping ground.
Why now with the Qatarise pilots?
And what's the feeling of the folks up in Idaho about this?
brian lenney
Yeah, I mean, Steve, you stole the words right out of my mouth with the dumping ground thing.
We've had a huge refugee resettlement program, mostly in the Boise area.
You know, obviously we had open borders under Biden and the chaos for four years.
You know, we have 70% of our dairy workers are illegals.
And now this.
So now we're inviting close to, I think, 300 people we're bringing in to train, plus, I think I read 150 support staff.
Who knows where they're going to come from?
I personally think, Steve, we should have listened to Pat Buchanan.
I was a young lad at the time in 92 when he gave a speech at the convention.
But, you know, Pat Buchanan warned us of all this.
He said there's a religious war going on, you know, for the very soul of America that will determine more than the Cold War, what America looks like.
So I think it's just continually piling on.
You know, we're looking at a spiritual civil war and we should be fighting it.
We should be fighting against ideologies that hate us, to be frank, but instead we're importing them and we're embedding them into Idaho.
And this is an executive branch problem.
You know, we found out about it just about when everyone else did.
This is something that took place in the executive branch and we just found out about it.
You know, nobody gave us a heads up, that type of thing.
So why are we doing it?
I mean, that's anyone's guess, but why are we, you know, that could be anyone's guess, but we just found out about it as well.
steve bannon
Let me, let me, this morning we talked about Texas.
I spent four days down there last week on this very topic about these mosques being built and these huge developments coming along.
And people in Texas are outraged.
And I told folks, there's going to be a huge fight down there because Texas is a real head of MAGA.
If you look up at your neck of the woods, you take Wyoming, Montana, I guess, parts of northern Utah, you got eastern Washington, Eastern Oregon, and of course, the great state of Idaho.
People refer to that sometimes as the Christian redoubt.
I mean, that is a center of lived Christianity in our country, just like it is down Texas.
Do you find it shocking that we're importing, first off, it's kind of become a dumping ground for Somalians and refugee resettlement, but now they're actually bringing in a small number of Muslims to basically train out of there.
And it looks like to become permanent somehow.
Does that offend the folks in Idaho specifically?
It's different than training some Singapore pilots or maybe other pilots from other parts of the third world.
But people take a special umbrage with the fact that you're bringing Muslims in.
heather scott
Absolutely.
The culture hates Christians, and we are a Christian state.
Like you said, we have been pulled out as the American Redoubt.
And people have, I mean, we have had so many people move to our state to escape the leftist policies in these other states.
We've had year after year of Democrat policies undermining our strongholds here in this state.
And like we said, with the refugee resettlement, all the illegals being pushed, we have a contingent in our state.
I think a lot of globalists, they want the cheap labor for our farms.
And this will all undermine our culture and our sovereignty.
unidentified
And you already mentioned it.
brian lenney
We're seeing bits and pieces of this.
These are not nominal moderate Muslims.
These are fundamentalist Muslims.
So Qatar is under Sharia law, as we all know.
And that's where you can get the death penalty for leaving Islam.
They execute, you know, you could get executed if you're gay under Sharia law.
There's public flogging for alcohol consumption.
You could even get in Qatar for insulting Islam.
You can get prison or the death penalty.
So I'm looking at Mountain Home, which is a small town in Idaho.
And what they're doing is they're building a facility on the existing Air Force base.
So they're not building them their own base.
They're building a facility on the base.
But I mean, are we going to see madrasas, the Islamic schools for kids?
Are we going to see minarets with the Don, the call to prayer going out?
I'm wondering, is this like one of the many baby steps into turning places like Idaho into the next Dearborn, Michigan, or Minneapolis, or for Pick Your City?
And like I said, it's a culture that's inherently hostile to the West.
And one thing, Steve, that, you know, the Mountain Home Mayor, he went on the video, he went on video celebrating this.
He said, this is an opportunity for the youth to learn about different cultures and gain a global perspective.
And he hopes nobody is closed-minded to this.
But I mean, I'm not closed-minded.
My mind is very open.
My eyes are very open to exactly what this is.
And it's just completely incompatible with the West.
steve bannon
I tell you what, I get a bounce.
I'm going to come bring you two back.
If not tomorrow, then early next week.
I want to go through when you have the mayor saying this.
You also have, I think, a former fighter pilot.
I think he's in the Senate.
He's saying it's fantastic.
We ought to do more of this.
It's not fantastic.
And we should not do more of this.
In fact, we shouldn't do this.
There are other facilities there that can train pilots.
You don't need to bring them up to Idaho.
I want to come back with you guys, hopefully the beginning of the week and actually talk through what in the hell we're going to do about this.
You guys have political power.
Heather, you're in the House.
Brian, you're in the Senate.
I know you guys are very highly regarded.
When I called it there, I said, I got to talk to two of your smartest people, and people consistently said it should be you two people.
So between now and then, let's give your social media.
Heather, for you first, where do people follow this by following your social media?
Where do they go?
heather scott
Mostly X, and it's at Heather Scott ID, at Heather Scott ID.
And then Substack.
I do a Substack at Representative Heather Scott or Rep Heather Scott.
Yeah, that was my most recent foreign military facility in Idaho.
There it is.
steve bannon
Perfect.
It's amazing.
This is one of the reasons we've got interesting story.
Brian, where do people go for yours?
brian lenney
Yeah, I'm pretty active on X. That's about the only thing I'm active on.
There it is right there at Brian underscore Lenny.
And I also have a sub stack.
I think I have three or four blogs on this specific topic on my sub stack.
So if people, if this is brand new to them or they want to see what's going on, yeah, there it is.
They can just click over to my sub stack and we laid out a lot of details, a lot of all the links and everything.
But yeah, thanks, Steve.
heather scott
Thank you.
steve bannon
Mo and Grace will push it.
No, thank you.
Listen, you guys are the fighters.
Idaho is one of the most precious and most important states in this union.
Folks up in Montana, eastern Oregon, eastern Washington, Wyoming up there, the American redoubt.
And we're not going to infest this by bringing the third world up there.
It's not acceptable.
Unacceptable.
unidentified
We'll take any time up here, Steve.
steve bannon
We're going to bring the war room up.
Heather and Brian, look forward to seeing you back here next week.
Say hi to the great folks in Idaho.
