This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
Pray for our enemies.
unidentified
Because we're going medieval on these people.
steve bannon
I got a free shot at all these networks lying about the people.
The people have had a belly full of it.
I know you don't like hearing that.
I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it.
It's going to happen.
jake tapper
And where do people like that go to share the big lie?
unidentified
MAGA Media.
jake tapper
I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
unidentified
Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
steve bannon
If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
unidentified
War Room.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Mann.
War Room.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Mann.
steve bannon
It's Wednesday, 26 March, year of early, 2025.
We're now out of the Oval Office, and I think the comm staff over there is going to start working on that fee because there's just too much great content the president's putting out.
Just as an update about Liberation Day next Wednesday, I guess it is, the 2nd of April, Vietnam has already responded to President Trump's reciprocity on tariffs.
Vietnam is slashing their tariffs on American LNG, liquefied natural gas, from 5% to 2%.
On automobiles, which has a range from 45% to 65%, down to 32%.
So cutting them in half.
And ethanol from 10% to 5%.
They're also going to further cut import duties on American chicken, almonds, apples, cherries, and wooden products.
That's just Vietnam.
So President Trump calls it Liberation Day.
Today, the kickoff.
Automotive, 25% on automotives coming into the United States, effective immediately.
He said on the reciprocity, they're going to be named on the second and start kicking on the third.
He said on automotive alone, projecting $100 billion of external revenues into the Treasury.
He said his calculation is $600 billion kind of, I guess, this year on tariffs up to, I think, in the next year, $1 trillion.
That's on an annual basis.
That's not one of these 10-year deals.
Folks, if you like what you see, and we know from polling, for the first time in 20 years since the early days of the Iraq War, that the country finally feels that someone's got the country on the right track.
Right track, wrong track has been upside down since really 2004.
When I took the campaign over in 2016, I told the president, or then candidate, I said, look, it's two-thirds, one-third after Obama's eight years of hope and change.
Of which it was two-thirds, one-third when Obama...
Beat John McCain because they thought Bush had not turned things around.
So since over 20 years, the country on the polling, American people can't quite articulate, but they know something's wrong.
So we have this incredible victory in November.
And let me be blunt.
I've got some real pipe hitters here in this second hour.
Last night in Pennsylvania, on a seat that was a Trump plus 15, we lost a special.
And Cliff Maloney is going to join us to walk through that.
We also have Florida.
A seat, I think President Trump won by 30 points.
It was Waltz's old seat.
You have a terrific candidate, Randy Fine, who's going to join us right now.
Randy's in a dogfight down there.
And I think the reasons, whether it's in Wisconsin, whether it's in Pennsylvania, whether Florida, and it's just the fact that people are so excited that President Trump won in November.
And people love what they're seeing.
They love the days of thunder.
They love the flood, the zone.
Every day they cut on it.
And like I said, half of Real America's Voice, we're just taking live feeds from the Hill or from the White House because there's so much action going on.
Action, action, action.
But we have to understand, these Democrats now are fired up.
They're angry.
They're having their Tea Party moment.
You have to understand what's happening here.
And they're looking to fight back.
And look, we're in a democracy.
I got no problem with that at all.
This is how we built this movement.
Randy Feint now joins us from Florida 6. Randy, brother, we won this by 30 points.
You're in a dogfight down there.
Tell us, first off, give us a situation report of what's going on.
And number two, what do you need the War Room Posse to do?
Because I understand voting, I think, goes through Saturday, and then we get game day voting on Tuesday.
So give us a situation report, and then tell us what needs to happen.
unidentified
Well, Steve, I think you summed it up.
Democrats are really, really, really mad right now.
And so they're voting, and they just want to scream about President Trump and Elon and everything else.
And Republicans are very happy.
They feel like everything's on the right track, and they just voted.
And President Trump is having so many wins that there's a sense of complacency.
So what we need is we need everyone who lives in the 6th Congressional District.
To go and vote tomorrow.
They can go to my website, voterandyfine.com.
Depending on which of the six counties they're in, they can find their early voting site, and then they can go and vote.
And it's pretty simple.
Early voting is Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and then there's obviously Election Day on Tuesday.
But it's very simple.
If the people who supported President Trump will vote...
I will win.
I will win overwhelmingly, but we need them to do that, and that is the challenge that we have right now, is explaining to people that the agenda is at stake, and we need them to go and vote right now.
steve bannon
Let me be blunt to the Warren Posse, because you guys are the tip of the spear.
Wisconsin, and they have many issues in Wisconsin.
They have gun rights.
They have this right to life.
They have election integrity.
We've got Chuck Gray, Secretary of State from Wyoming.
He's done an amazing job.
Chuck's going to join us, talk about the Mark Elias of it all and the executive order of the president.
But it comes down to, and this is why Elon's up there at 20 million bucks.
It's 6-2 congressional delegation.
If they win that Supreme Court seat, it's going to go 4-4.
If they win 4-4, folks, I'm telling you, if we hang on to North Carolina in the redistricting, if we hang on to Louisiana, I think Louisiana is the Supreme Court, that means it has to be New York and California we have to hold, and we're assuming...
That Randy Fine is representing Florida 6. We don't have any bandwidth whatsoever.
If you like what you see from the Oval Office, if you like what you see what President Trump's doing up on Capitol Hill, if you like what he's doing both legislatively, if you like the executive orders, if you like the action, action, action, because he's delivering.
We can't put any more pressure on this guy.
This guy's got the weight of the world on his shoulders, and he's delivering.
The polling's through the roof.
But Rasmussen here, CNN's here, the highest approval ratings Trump's ever had.
Right track, wrong track, the highest in 20 years.
To make sure that we have that, Randy Fine has got to be the guy.
There's no wiggle room here.
This has to happen.
So, Randy, I think, don't we have 100,000?
Because this is one of the finest, this is one of the best districts.
This is one of the most MAGA districts, the most Trump supporters.
This is the hardcore of the hardcore.
How many of those voters have not come out and voted yet, sir?
unidentified
There's 100,000 Republican super voters who haven't voted yet.
And the great thing about this election is you go and it takes five minutes.
There's literally one thing on the ballot.
You walk in, you...
Fill in my name, circle the oval, or bubble in the oval, and you walk out.
It doesn't take long.
That's why people should go to voterandyfine.com, figure out where their early voting site is, and go and vote.
There's three more days in all six counties so we can start running up the score.
Because you never know what the weather will be like on Tuesday.
So don't procrastinate.
Go and get it done.
So there's a lot of people who haven't voted.
Yes, President Trump won this district by 30. And I don't know that I'll win it by 30, but I'll win it by a lot.
If his voters get out and vote, it matters.
President Trump wants a guy who will grab a sword, run up the hill, and cut off the dragon's head.
That's what I've done in the Florida legislature.
That's what I'm ready to do for President Trump in Washington, but I can't do it if people don't vote.
steve bannon
You were one of the earliest guys to come out and endorse President Trump, were you not, sir?
unidentified
I was the second Florida legislator to endorse President Trump, and I'm the only Jewish Republican, so it was kind of a big deal, you know, in the community at large.
But yeah, made national news when I did it.
steve bannon
Before I let you go, I want to talk to you about, and look, this is what a democracy is about.
The Democrats are absolutely furious.
One of the reasons they're furious, President Trump is executing on his agenda.
They clearly oppose that.
They clearly oppose that.
They're angry.
How angry are the folks down, the Democrats, down in Florida six are?
unidentified
We had an event outside last week.
They tried to literally scream me down for the entire time.
I have a pretty big voice, so it didn't work.
But think about that.
Democrats like to say this is what democracy looks like.
And then when a Republican is having an event, they're going to scream them down, wave cowbells, things like that.
I mean, that's not how our democracy should work.
You shouldn't try to silence the other side.
They will say anything.
They will do anything to steal this seat because they know what it means, which is why I need everybody who lives in the 6th Congressional District.
Vote randyfine.com.
Find your precinct, early voting, three more days.
Take five minutes.
Go and get it done.
There's no lines.
You can vote easily.
We can run up the score for President Trump and make sure we deliver a resounding victory for the president on Tuesday.
That's why I'm doing this, because I want to be a foot soldier for him.
steve bannon
Randy Fine's philosophy is President Trump's program.
Randy, one more time.
Social media, where do people go?
We need the 100,000.
Florida Six, you're one of the finest of the MAGA troops.
We have to send a message on Tuesday that the MAGA movement and President Trump's movement, we're not resting on our laurels.
Every day is game day.
We know that President Trump, every day they're coming at him.
They're putting this press on now between the federal courts and the deep state.
He's fighting back every day.
Just give him your support.
Where do they go, Randy?
One more time.
unidentified
VoteRandyFind.com.
There's a button to figure out where you see a special election information.
You see it at the top.
It tells them where to go to vote because each county is different.
Each county has different hours and polling places.
For now, it'll tell them where their early voting site is.
Obviously, on Election Day, they go to their regular polling place.
But we don't want people to wait.
We want them to vote early tomorrow.
steve bannon
Yeah. Randy, thank you so much.
Look forward to talking to you tomorrow.
Randy Fine, grinding it out at Florida 6. Thank you, brother.
I want to go to Pennsylvania.
I've got Chuck Gray and Mike Lindell are going to talk about this president at EO and then what's going on in Wyoming to sort things out.
But I've got to get to Cliff Maloney.
Cliff... Kind of a shocker last night.
This is why I want to talk about Wisconsin.
I want to talk about Pennsylvania.
This is, I guess, a state senate special election.
I understand these are low turnout, but this is one that Trump is a 15-point.
This is Trump country by 15 points.
This is not close.
What happened last night, sir?
unidentified
Yeah, so I'll give it to you straight, Steve.
You know, we ran this PHA's program.
Boardroom Posse was fantastic.
Joined us, supported us.
And I told people, you know, we had two special elections this past evening, last night.
One for the House, one for the Senate.
And the one outside of Pittsburgh, you know, it wasn't winnable.
It's a 75-25 Democrat to Republican seat.
And we got to have resource allocation, so we didn't touch it.
But then this state Senate special in Lancaster, this is like you said, it's an R plus 15 Trump district.
It's R plus 23 in terms of Republicans to Democrats.
And Steve, I'm not going to mince words here.
You know, I went to some of the swamp creatures in Harrisburg and some of these consulting class, and I said to them, I said, look, I said, if you want us to do the PHA's program, we'll deploy.
We'll go in and knock tens of thousands of doors to guarantee a win.
And this is what they say to me, Steve.
This is the swamp culture when it comes to consultants.
They said, Cliff, don't worry about it.
We've got it covered.
We don't think you should waste money here.
And what did they do?
They didn't chase a single ballot.
They went out and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars lining their own pockets, and they lost the race by 500 votes in a Trump plus 15 district.
I'm infuriated.
And I think this is the last time I listen to anybody in the consulting class.
We're just going to have to go out and do this ourselves.
You've got people like Scott Pressler, who's a great partner of ours.
Me and Scott are furious.
We don't even know what to say that we would be led astray by the consulting class, and they would find a way to lose this seat.
This isn't America first.
This isn't MAGA.
This is incompetency with GOP consultants.
steve bannon
Okay, so that makes people feel better, but we still lost the seat.
Didn't it flip?
Did it not flip the Senate?
Is that correct, or was the House seat that flipped the House?
unidentified
Yeah, the House seat was, they had a one-seat majority.
The Democrat had passed away.
It was a Democrat seat, so that was going to stay.
This reduces our small margin in the Senate, but we're still safe.
But Steve, let me say something bold on your show.
And I don't always like to call people out by name, but the posse is the one place where they say name names.
You know, look, I'm calling on our new state chairman, Greg Rothman.
He's a current state senator.
And I'd ask Greg this.
I'd say, let's have a sit down.
Me, you, Scott Pressler, some of these other grassroots groups, I'm tired of just all talk.
I'm tired of saying, oh, well, we're going to fund these things.
But there's no organization.
There's no structure.
We're going to get this seat back in two years.
But so many of the grassroots, the America First movement, MAGA is just tired of these consultants who don't take action.
So, yeah, I'm not here to tell you to feel good.
I'm here to tell you that Republicans should be pissed off.
This is not going to have a huge impact on the PA state Senate.
But we need to sit down with party leadership like we did with the Trump campaign.
They worked with us day and day to make sure that we had the data and that we were all singing from the same song sheet.
That is what I'm calling on right now from our state chairman, Greg Rothman.
We cannot have stupid mistakes like this again.
And I'm not even blaming the candidate, Josh Parsons.
This is the consulting class that wants to spend all their money on traditional media.
When we learn, Steve, in 2024, we don't need to message.
We have the America First voters.
We just have to get them to vote.
That should be the focus.
steve bannon
Amen. Amen.
Grassroots, Pressley, you, others, just turn them out.
Where do they go for social media, Cliff?
We've got to get on this.
If we can help put the meeting together with you and Rothman, we'd love to.
We've got to get sorted here.
Where do people go, sir?
unidentified
On X, just at Maloney.
And then if folks want to help, we're doubling down on the PHAs.
Go to PHAs.com.
Steve, I'm saying here on your show, we're going to knock 500,000 doors every year because Pennsylvania has thousands of elections every year.
I'm not going to cede an inch to Governor Josh Shapiro.
If folks believe in us doing the grassroots work, P-A-Chase.com.
As always, Steve, appreciate you.
steve bannon
P-A-Chase, we love it.
Thank you, sir.
Scott Preslow is up in Wisconsin.
He's banging on doors up there, trying to bring a victory out of that.
Let's look at another grind up there.
Remember, it's two seats on the line.
Mike Lindell.
The executive order yesterday.
Give me your summary of the executive order.
We're going to go to Wyoming here in a moment.
Talk to a man that's making it happen.
What are your thoughts on this executive order, President Trump, on election integrity, sir?
mike lindell
Well, I dug into it.
You know, I like the paper, no paper with QR codes or barcodes.
That's basically saying, hey, you can't hide what you voted for.
And because these machines that count the ballots.
You can put anything you want behind them.
So there was a lot of stuff.
You got into the meat of that executive order.
I was very impressed.
And you guys, what did he say?
He said there's a lot more to come.
Well, I know a lot of stuff that's coming, but there was a lot packed into that.
And you even had the Daily Mail, Steve, over in UK there doing this big thing about it and how this is going to alienate voters to go vote because they don't have IDs.
And then it said down below, and Mike Lindell, the conspiracy theorist, he grifted off this.
And I go, I'm a pretty bad grifter, I'll tell you.
steve bannon
If you don't have an ID, you don't need to vote.
Very simple.
Mike, before I bounce, sell me a pillow.
Sell me a pillow or sell me some sheets.
mike lindell
Right on.
Well, you guys, just yesterday we had another cancellation from a box store.
I'm actually going to put their name out nationwide tomorrow.
We had it all ready for them to go out, and they canceled.
You can't make this stuff up.
But you know what?
We make lemonade out of lemons.
So here's what we got again.
The box stores, they canceled.
We're giving it to the War Room Posse, what was allotted for the box stores.
These are all the spring sheets that came in.
The allotment that was for the box stores, we're gonna give you for the wholesale prices.
The queens are $29.98.
$34.98 for the Kings and the Percale.
Go to the MyPillow.com, scroll down.
We put Steve right on top there.
Click on Steve, and there you got it.
The MyCrosses you guys all love.
You save 30%.
There's those $9.98 pillows, the War Room Specials there with the MyPillow 2.0.
If you've never tried a MyPillow, $9.98, okay?
So you get all these wholesale prices because of the box store.
It's a win-win-win.
And you guys, call the number there, 800-873-1062.
That's one of the biggest wins I'm proud of.
When the IRS came after my home rep, said, you can't work from home.
We beat them.
They're working from home.
They're taking your calls.
And promo code WARROOM, you guys.
I don't know where we'd be without you, but MyPillow's here.
Steve, we're going to still be speaking out.
We're never losing our voice.
We're going to keep talking no matter what they do to attack MyPillow, my employee-owned company.
And we thank the War Room Posse and your show.
steve bannon
Thank you, brother.
I appreciate you.
Mike Lindell, the best promo code in the business.
Promo code WARROOM.
Go to MyPillow.com.
Let's go.
We've got a package to play in front of Chuck Gray, the Secretary of State of the Great State of Wyoming.
Let's go ahead and let it rip.
unidentified
Now, Ms. Kerger, the American people want to know, is Elmo now, or has he ever been, a member of the Communist Party of the United States?
A yes or no?
No. Now, are you sure, Ms. Kerger, because he's obviously red.
Well, he is a puppet, but no.
Now, that's not all.
He also has a very dangerous message about sharing and helping each other.
He's indoctrinating our kids that sharing is caring.
steve bannon
Okay, that's the wrong package.
We'll play in a second.
Let's get Chuck Gray up from Wyoming.
Chuck, we had Mark Elias and we had the signing of the order.
Talk to me why this executive order you said from the President of the United States is very similar to what you've been doing in Wyoming.
Did he crib what you guys are working on or did you crib him?
unidentified
Oh, President Trump CEO yesterday, huge moment for election integrity in our country, proof of citizenship for registering to vote, stopping foreign funding of elections, and that's exactly what we've been working on in Wyoming.
In our recently completed 2025 general session, we passed proof of citizenship for registering to vote.
We applied it to all races, unlike many states that...
Don't have exemptions from the National Voter Registration Act that can't apply it to federal races.
And that was one of the things that this EO does.
It says that the National Voter Registration Form shall require proof of citizenship.
We also banned the foreign funding of elections, closed the federal loophole that the FEC put in place.
It allows federal funding for statewide ballot measures, which is really disturbing.
And we closed that in our recently completed general session.
And President Trump's executive order closes it as well by saying that the DOJ needs to prosecute these cases of foreign funding of elections that we've seen in Michigan and Ohio with ballot measures.
steve bannon
So hang on a second, because this is explosive.
Hit rewind for a second.
You're saying that you can prove, and you're rooting out of Wyoming, that there's foreign, not just influence, but foreign money coming in to drive some of these elections, sir?
unidentified
This is a trend across our country because the FEC issued a decision a while back.
That the ban on foreign funding of elections does not apply to statewide ballot measures.
This is in past administrations and the FEC is sort of a quasi-independent agency.
And so what we've been trying to do is go state by state and chief election officials in each state, like myself, have been trying to bring through legislatures bans on foreign funding of statewide ballot measures, this loophole that the FEC...
We were the second state to pass this ban two and a half weeks ago in our state statute, and the EO is working to push back on the FEC decision.
I know the Congress is working on it as well because it is a decision that we've got to reverse.
steve bannon
Have you noticed, you're kind of at the cutting edge of this.
Have you noticed since President Trump won, because we just talked about Pennsylvania and people kind of leaning on their rakes there in Florida.
We're trying to fire people for this Florida Six.
We see it in Wisconsin right now.
Were people so excited about President Trump winning, Chuck?
Do you think that now the election integrity, is that a harder sell for the MAGA base?
Are people still up on the ramparts about this and saying, yeah, we've got to clean all these elections up, sir?
unidentified
President Trump is doing a fantastic job.
I mean, Steve, think about this fact sheet on the first 100 days, how that's going to read.
I mean, it's going to be it's going to be a book.
So he's doing a fantastic job.
And I think.
People understand that we need to continue to push these election integrity measures that we've been pushing since the 2020 election fiasco.
And that's why we won this election in 2024.
It's a huge part of it is that we were advancing these election integrity measures.
President Trump just did a fantastic job traveling the entire country pushing.
And putting forward our Make America Great Again message, but the election integrity measures that advanced have also been extremely helpful in that respect.
And I think people understand that we've got to continue pushing election integrity.
We've done some polling on it, and election integrity is at the forefront of voters' minds in Wyoming and across our country.
Scott Rasmussen released some polling.
About two weeks ago, showing that over 90% of Americans want proof of citizenship for registering to vote, Steve.
Over 90% of Americans.
This isn't just Republicans and independents.
This is strong supermajorities of Democrats.
I mean, that's the only way you get to over 90% of Americans approving of proof of citizenship for registering to vote.
And that's what President Trump got done yesterday with this fantastic executive order.
steve bannon
Go back.
I just want you to hit that for a second.
I don't think people say it enough.
The reason we won in 2024 is work that you and others had done in the lead-up in those dark years of 21, 22, 23, where we couldn't get the reversal that we needed for the election that was stolen, but you did election integrity work.
What worked the most that led to this triumph in 2024, sir?
unidentified
President Trump really worked to advance conservative secretaries of state.
And in the 2022 cycle, he endorsed our campaign.
I think one of the key aspects of what we advanced in the intervening period after the 2020 election fiasco Was the ban on Zuck Bucks, the ban on third party interference in elections.
And that was just pivotal.
You look at what the Democrats and the left machine did in swing states with these Zuck Bucks and these drop boxes.
We pushed back on that and Wyoming became the 28th state to ban this third party interference in elections.
And then I also think the eyes that were on the entire election process, that was pivotal.
Of course, the most important part, the sine qua non, if you will, was President Trump and the work that he has continued to do, pushing back on the radical left campaigning and advancing our message across the United States and getting.
I mean, it's amazing, Steve, these EOs every single day.
I mean, the fact sheet on this first 100 days, I mean...
Have you thought of it?
I've been thinking about it the last few days.
It's going to be incredible.
It's amazing.
steve bannon
Chuck, hang on for one second.
I want to hold you through the break.
I'm going to ask you, Mark Elias came on TV last night and said everything.
And President Trump's executive order was totally unconstitutional.
None of it would pass.
And that Chuck Gray, the Secretary of State of Wyoming and others would just have to suck on that.
We're going to take a short commercial break.
We're going to be back in a moment.
We've got a very special guest.
The great Johnny Kahn, the author of this amazing song, the anthem of the Tea Party from the early days of our movement.
Johnny Kahn will be with us live, talking about a new creation of his.
The great John Kahn joins us.
Secretary of State of Wyoming is going to stick around.
Hopefully we'll even get maybe Spencer Morris to talk about tariffs.
Birch Gold, take your phone out.
Text Bannon, B-A-N-N-O-N, that would be me, at 989898.
Get the ultimate guide to investing in gold and precious metals in the era of Trump.
And talk to Philip Patrick and the team about what are the driving forces in back of the rise of gold and why central banks throughout the world are buying at record rates.
Short commercial break.
The Secretary of State of Wyoming and Johnny Kahn all next.
unidentified
It's like I've got stars in my eyes.
Oh, I'm...
alex jones
Secretary of State of Wyoming and Johnny Kahn.
chris hayes
So you just spoke about elections, and today we have a new executive order, which, again, it's a little hard to characterize these things because what it's purporting to say it does is just plainly unconstitutional, unlawful.
It's an executive order to essentially, by decree, centralize election administration, require a whole bunch of new forms of election checking, and basically put it in the hands of Donald Trump unilaterally with no Yeah, it's wildly unconstitutional and illegal.
unidentified
Let's just start with that.
It has no more of the force of law than you and I, Chris, agreeing now that the sun rises in the West and sets in the East.
It is a fever dream that Donald Trump has because...
The one consistent thing in all of Donald Trump's efforts has been election nihilism.
It is the only thing that is uncompromising in his administration.
It's a thing that's consistent.
It's the reason why he hates me, because I was successful in litigating against him and his campaign.
But what this executive order tries to do is to claim that he has this power to control how elections that are run.
He has the power to contravene Congress.
He has the power to overrule states.
By the way, he also kicks in that he's giving Doge subpoena power, which is kind of a nice little sideline for him.
Perhaps he'll give Mr.
Musk something to do.
But the fact is that the Constitution is very clear, that the ability to regulate the time, place, and manner of elections rests with the states, and it can be overridden by.
And Congress has passed laws that are enforced, and the president simply has no authority.
steve bannon
So Secretary of State of Wyoming, Chuck Gray, what is it?
Are you and President Trump right, or is Mark Elias right, sir?
unidentified
Well, Mark Elias has a history of being wrong.
He is a woke clown, and this is just another example of it.
He's tried to make a career out of...
Attacking basic election integrity measures that over 90% of Americans want.
And here he is going again, going with this golden oldie, the song that they think we want to hear but we really don't, and going after proof of citizenship for registering to vote, which over 90% of Americans want.
So it's just more of the same which the people of the United States rejected here in the 2024 election.
steve bannon
Chuck, how can people find out more about what you guys are doing at Wyoming?
I think it's pretty remarkable.
So where do people go?
unidentified
Appreciate that.
You can visit us on X at Chuck for Wyoming, on Instagram at Chuck for Wyoming, and then also on Facebook, Chuck Gray.
We continue to post updates on our work at the Wyoming Secretary of State's office in advancing election integrity and putting forward our Make America Great Again agenda.
steve bannon
Chuck, thank you so much for joining us, and thank you for all the work out there.
unidentified
Thanks. Thanks, Steve.
Appreciate it for having me on.
steve bannon
Thank you, brother.
These are the guys that are making it happen, the men and women.
You got the Cliff Maloney's, you got the guys chasing ballots, knocking on doors, canvassing.
This is what it's all about, the Chuck Graves of the world.
This is why President Trump is in the Oval today.
This is why we're talking about 25% tariffs on automotives.
This is why he's bringing the economy back, bringing back almost a trillion dollars right now.
Okay, something very special.
John Kahn, you know, we play American Heart.
You guys love it.
It's the anthem of the Tea Party that John wrote, I don't know, 14 years ago or longer when Andrew Breitbart, the great Andrew Breitbart, was the leader of our movement.
He's written another incredibly powerful song.
I want to play it in its entirety and then bring in the one and only John Kahn.
Let's go ahead and let her rip.
unidentified
ten late on the bed and cried No one could hear me No one could hear me Thought there's gotta be a reason for my life But who'd believe me Who'd believe me I don't wanna be someone who
you wanted.
What you wanted.
I could be part of any plan.
That's always haunted.
That's always haunting me And I didn't know there was more that I could lose Up in the sky, I could only see blue But
if my eyes were really open I would have found the clues And when I heard you say there's nothing you can't do I got my fingerprints on you And
now that little boy, he cries For all the years and years of all that he denied He
ain't looking for a reason Cause he knows now that believing in the right When it gets dark
and it's so hard to breathe You'll be right there and I know you want me It took a long, long time to get here But I know
now what I need Cause even in the darkness I can see Even in the darkness I can see You got your fingerprints
on me You got your fingerprints on me You got your fingerprints on me John Kahn, Fingerprints.
steve bannon
John, when you first became part of this movement, I think it was for two years, you had to go around, because you were coming out of Hollywood, and you were known in Hollywood, you couldn't even reveal, it was so vicious back then, you couldn't even reveal your identity.
It was a front page story in the Wall Street Journal when you did, because you had written so many, you wrote the anthem for the Tea Party in American Heart, but you also wrote more songs.
What's Fingerprints?
Tell me the evolution, because People know, because they love you, that your house, everything you had, burned down in the Palisades fire.
What is Fingerprints about?
What's the evolution here?
unidentified
So, you know, Steve, you've known me a long time.
Thanks for having me, and hi to the posse out there.
You know, about five years ago, I was in Nashville in a writer's room, which you go into a room with somebody you don't know, and you pick up guitars, you talk, you start writing songs.
So I met a guy named Michael Farron, who was the son of a preacher.
And we just talked for two hours and just talked about life.
And we didn't even pick up guitars.
And at the end of our conversation, he looked at me and he said, you know, you talk like a Christian.
And I said, I didn't even know what that meant because, you know, I grew up in L.A. My family, there was no faith.
There was no religion.
And, you know, in godless L.A. You know, so I started exploring what that meant.
I asked him what it meant.
He said, you just have a seeker's heart.
He says, I can tell that you're yearning for something more, to be part of something greater than yourself.
So I tucked that away, and I started having conversations with a lot of people about God and faith.
I started going to church for the first time in my life.
This was only a few years ago.
And I started to like what it did for me.
And I like the notion of being, you know, accountable to something greater than myself.
And it just made me feel a certain way.
I started behaving differently, not that I was behaving badly, but it just made me think about what I was doing and how I was responding to things.
And finally, as I started to explore this, interesting things started to happen.
People came into my life that I hadn't seen in 15 years.
A girlfriend of mine who's a screenwriter says, She came back.
I hadn't spoken to her in 15 years.
She goes, I'm writing a script about faith.
I want you to read it.
All these kind of things started to happen to me.
And then I was talking to our mutual friend, Wynton.
And I was telling him all these stories.
And he said, you know, John, I've never seen God chase anybody like he's chasing you.
He's got his fingerprints all over you.
And I tucked that away.
And I thought, that's the name of the song.
And that's something that's—so the song was originally about my exploration of faith and the journey that I was on.
And I had written it, you know, it's been ready for about a year and a half, and then I wrote Fighter, and that kind of took precedence.
I didn't release the song because I didn't—I was so new to faith that I didn't want to, you know, go into an area where I felt like, you know, I was treading where I didn't belong.
And then I had many conversations with people, and they said, look, you wouldn't have those words.
Unless God wanted you to have those words.
So ironically, what happened after I wrote the song, I had a series of really rough times.
I had a breakup with a girlfriend.
My mom passed away.
My dad fell, had surgery.
And then my house burned down.
And so I thought, but I never lost faith.
And I always had a peace that things were going to work out.
And so I thought, what better time to release a song like this than in the middle of a storm?
steve bannon
So let me get this right.
In this journey, you wrote the song.
You obviously looked like you made the video, and you never released it, but you only thought that you should release it or you should put it out there for the public after your house burned down on the Palisades?
unidentified
Well, no.
I was always going to release it, but then I just happened.
It took me a while because I felt like such a newbie to it.
I just didn't know if it was my place because it was something I was exploring, and I know it's a very sacred topic.
And people convinced me otherwise.
I just happened to write the song Fighter, which was very time-sensitive during the election.
So that came out first and sort of occupied the last few months of my life.
I was planning to release the song at the beginning of January, and then the fires happened, and my life took a weird turn, and I've been a little bit swamped trying to...
Figure out what I'm going to do next.
And then I thought, you know what, I need to release this song.
steve bannon
Did the fire and taking away, because your place was so special, you had all your music there, your writing there, did the fire rattle this newfound faith or this beginning of this faith journey?
Did that rattle you to go back and say, What is this all worth?
Or, you know, maybe there isn't a God, or God would have not done this to me if there was a fair God, or if a God that loved me.
What was the impact of the fire?
unidentified
I didn't think that.
I had a strange peace about it.
I even, you know, I spent six weeks on my dad's sofa, and my dad is not a believer.
And, you know, he and I weren't always very close, but we've gotten very close in the last couple years, and he's 93 years old now.
And about four weeks after the fire, and I'm still trying to process what happened, and every time I would say to him, I'm going to go to church on Sunday, I'm going to church right now, he was very accepting of it, but there was always this little bit of, really, you're going to church?
So there was always just a little bit of a push and pull, but I said to him about three weeks, I walked into his bedroom, and I said, you know, I don't think I could be handling this situation as well as I am had I not gone down this road of faith.
And he looked at me at 93 years old and he said, I 100% agree with you, which I thought was a pretty big moment for him and for me.
steve bannon
Wow. Wow.
You say that, you know, in doing this, in this journey of faith, all of a sudden, somebody comes up and says, hey, I've got a script on faith.
So many things are opening up to you that maybe have not opened up before if you didn't have this secret heart now.
On the other side, is there people, because you're, folks should know, both Andrew and John are kind of guys' guys.
They always have people around.
You're very funny and people love to be with you.
Have you seen in your previous that you've lost friends or the situations you don't want to be in or things you don't do anymore?
unidentified
I think when you, you'll like this story, Steve.
A Navy SEAL once told me, you know, when I got to know him, I asked him once, are you, When you're on patrol in Afghanistan or wherever you are, are you always looking for the bad things?
Are you always on the lookout?
And he said, no, I'm always looking for the beautiful things.
And I said, why is that?
He says, when you look for the beautiful things, all the bad things stand out.
And that story really stuck with me.
So when you're on a journey like this, you look for the good.
And so it makes you able to identify kind of the...
The energy that you don't want to be around, the people that you don't want to be around who might not be on the same journey.
I don't think I've lost friends as much as I've gained a lot of friends from this process and met so many amazingly kind people through it.
steve bannon
Now, with, and Fighter, people remember, that's an incredibly moving power ballot about President Trump, and particularly President Trump with the assassination attempt.
With this, and now Fingerprints, are you going to, back in the studio, is this going to lead to an entire album?
Are you going to put these out one at a time?
Because you've got so many fans here from us playing American Heart that absolutely love your music.
So what's the future hold?
unidentified
Well, I think I'm going to, I'm trying to, you know, pick up the pieces after the fire.
I'm going to relocate to Nashville in about a month, and I'm going to hang there for six months.
And I write a lot of music there.
And I think, I've got a buddy named Jeff Steele, who's in the Nashville Hall of Fame, an amazing songwriter.
And he always said, just write what's in your heart.
And, you know, so there are certain things that I get inspired to write about.
Usually they're kind of tough situations.
You know, sitting down at the piano, picking up the guitar, and seeing what comes to me.
American Heart Fighter and this song Fingerprints came very quickly to me, and usually that's a good sign.
So I'm just going to keep writing, because that's what they always tell me to do in Nashville, just keep writing.
steve bannon
That's a pretty good foundation.
Where do people go, Johnny, to get all of your access to all your content?
unidentified
Well, you can go to my Instagram, which is John Kahn Music, with no H in the John.
My Twitter, which is MrJohnDavid, again, no H. And there are links to all my music there.
And I really appreciate the posse embracing American Heart and the song and Fighter.
steve bannon
Love Fighter and love this.
Fingerprints is going to be a big hit.
Was it 14 years ago you came out in the Wall Street Journal?
unidentified
Yeah, I think it was in 2010.
It might have been 15 years ago, yeah.
steve bannon
Front page of the Wall Street Journal.
John Kahn.
Thank you, brother.
Appreciate you.
We're going to play the song to take us out.
We'll see you back here.
Love you, brother.
We'll see you back here at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.
Tomorrow morning, you'll be back in the world.
I'm going to take you out with John Kahn.
unidentified
Fingerprints. With everything I am locked up inside Wondered if anything was really mine I didn't know there was more I
heard you say there's nothing you can't do.
I got my fingerprints on you.
Oh, yeah.
I've seen way too many heartbreaks to understand what you wanted, what you want.
That's always haunted That's always haunted Fingerprints
