Speaker Time Text
steve bannon
This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
unidentified
Pray for our enemies, because we're going medieval on these people.
steve bannon
I got a free shot at all these networks lying about the people.
unidentified
The people have had a belly full of it.
joe rieck
I know you don't like hearing that.
I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it.
It's going to happen.
jake tapper
And where do people like that go to share the big lie?
MAGA Media. I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
unidentified
Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
steve bannon
If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
unidentified
War Room, here's your host, Stephen K. Babb.
abby phillip
I think we shouldn't lose track.
I think even in the civility of the fact that J.D. Vance came to this debate to land a bunch of punches, and he did.
He landed a lot of punches in between all the niceties and all of that.
And the thing that really stood out to me was that Tim Walz did not seem prepared for it.
He didn't respond to a lot of the criticisms and attacks that Vance put on the table.
He allowed some clear falsehoods to just go completely unanswered.
He allowed J.D. Vance essentially to dodge on a whole host of issues, on climate change, on the issue of his flip-flopping on Donald Trump.
He allowed Vance initially to claim that Trump salvaged the Affordable Care Act.
It took him several sentences to get to the part of his answer, Waltz's answer, Where he actually responded to that.
I mean, I think there was a clear lack of preparation and execution here on Wall Street.
mika brzezinski
The alternative, there's so much material.
But what happens in these debates, and we've seen it in town halls where moderators have the same issue as well.
You get overwhelmed by the other side, whether it's Trump or Vance now, who have the fire hose of falsehoods coming at you.
And you can see Tim Walz trying to keep up with them because there were so many.
I'm not joking. I mean, it's very hard to compete against somebody who doesn't play by the rules.
Mm-hmm. And you would think in politics and in news coverage that that would be the baseline, that we're arguing over facts.
But it doesn't happen in these debates, not with the Trump fans ticket.
jen psaki
I'm just going to say, I mean, the other challenge, as you all talk about every day, is this is not an on-the-level presidential race.
And he was not standing on the stage with a guy who, as my mother would say, was on the level.
I mean, J.D. Vance was campaigning like he was running with a different running mate.
I mean, I don't know what, that briefing book that he was using was not full of Trump positions or facts, either one.
I mean, and that was who Tim Walz was standing on that debate stage with.
So that is a challenge.
It is hard to be, and I do think people want serious discussions and debates about policy, but it's hard to be the guy explaining the intricacies of policy when the guy standing next to you is lying in everything That comes out of his mouth and reconstructing history of the guy who is his running mate.
unidentified
It's a challenge. I've known J.D. Vance for 15 years.
And in that time, I've seen him play many different roles.
And I've heard him tell many different and contradictory stories about who he is and what he believes.
So last night, he debuted a new role and a new story.
And that created a problem for the moderators, because it's CBS, the most prestigious name in television news.
Obviously, they're not going to ask questions about George Soros' plot to replace the white race.
They're not going to ask questions about, is Tim Walsh plotting to turn all the boys of Minnesota into trans?
They're not going to ask about Putinism and why you repeat Putin propaganda.
They're going to ask serious, substantive questions about the issues.
The problem is, the reason J.D. Vance is on the Republican ticket in the first place, yes, he made it clear he was going to go along with coups against the Constitution, but he also has been trafficking in the filthiest muck of American politics on right-wing podcasts, on obscure places, for the past four years, as he reinvented himself to please Donald Trump.
And so there's a problem in the debate, which is when you ask J.D. Vance about federal lands, he's really smart, and he's really a good student, and he will have an answer for you, maybe a different answer from the one he would have given 15 minutes ago or 15 days ago or 15 months ago, but he'll have an answer.
But you're missing who he is and what kind of person is going to be one cheeseburger away from the presidency should the Trump-Vance ticket win.
nicolle wallace
It's the audacity.
I agree with you that we're in year nine, and no one knows how to cover the audacity.
The audacity is that someone should have said, stop it, stop, stop.
Are you effing kidding me?
And they should have dropped that F-bomb, right?
I mean, they should have just...
This is a debate.
This may be the only chance people have to see the difference.
And instead, I mean, I'll go back to my toothpicks.
J.D. Vance just put one little toothpick on top of the other and said, and I'm...
I'm for this, and I'm for this, and I'm so sorry those women died.
They died because of Donald Trump.
One man had a litmus test for the people he put on the Supreme Court, and he put not one, not two, but three on, because they passed a litmus test that they would overturn Roe, and that's why Amber died.
That's why that little boy doesn't have a mom.
And nobody made that reality come to light.
Because I think if you, even if you didn't get the contrast you were looking for, neither did you get any, you know, wake up and smell the smelling salts.
You know, you were sort of lulled into normalcy.
ben harnwell
Wednesday, 2nd of October, I'm not dorming in 2024.
Harnwell here at the helm, filling in for Steve Bannon.
Well, interesting. Thanks for the five minutes of the cold open, Denver, for putting that together.
Interesting. Many of the themes, I think, were anticipated yesterday on the show.
Josh Hammer, you saw the debate between the VP candidates.
I'll tell you what my first take of this is.
You know, without even watching the debate, that JD wiped the floor with Tim Walsh.
How do you know that? Because all the mainstream media headlines are basically admitting it.
They're trying to massage it.
They're trying to salvage it to some degree, but they're not even pretending it was so
bad.
It was such a wipeout.
They're not even trying to suggest it was an equal draw.
Tell me, what was your first impressions of this debate?
josh hammer
Ben, I think that this was the single most dominant performance that I have ever seen
from a major politician, Republican, Democrat, or any party in between in my adult lifetime.
I actually mean that.
And the reason I know that is not just that J.D. Vance overcame another corporate media infused three on one gang up.
The moderators here were just as biased, if not even worse, frankly, than they were in the ABC News debate with Trump and Kamala Harris a few weeks ago.
It wasn't just that.
It wasn't just the fact that left-wing media, as we just saw in that excellent montage, is basically acknowledging that J.D. Vance wiped the floor.
That, you know, even Trump-skeptical, MAGA-skeptical people on the right, such as the New York Times columnist Ross, doubt that.
I saw Ross just tweet it.
I mean, Ross put on Twitter last night, he said that this is the most dominant Republican performance of this entire century.
In his mind, it actually surpassed We're good to go.
I mean, talk about a bizarre and grotesque left-wing disinformation operation.
But the guy, he just turned 40 years old.
He's a young first-term senator.
The American people are still getting to know him.
And man, I mean, did he just crush it on that stage last night, Ben.
Every topic, he had command of the material.
He came across as likable, talking about his wife, Usha.
I saw some polls where his favorability gained 20 points just over the course of that debate there.
I think that he has set this campaign up, this Trump-Vance campaign, in exceptional shape as we get into this final month.
ben harnwell
Tripped a wire in my head that you've known JD for a number of years and you knew that the mainstream media caricature of him was totally false.
The mainstream media clearly didn't realise that their own fabrication was a fabrication and went into this.
I think the Democrats taking their lead in their prep.
Went into this, believing the straw man that they themselves had created, and that has fundamentally frustrated them on this occasion, because they should have been better prepared.
We heard even in the cold open, one of the MSNBC analysts was saying that Tim Walsh didn't seem to be sufficiently prepared, and that is sound coming out even from Democratic insiders, that he wasn't prepared.
Interestingly, talking about the preparation, JD Vance only did four prep sessions because he didn't particularly feel the need.
So I think that just illustrates, and of course, he didn't go in over-prepared.
He went in perfectly, the absolute correct blend of preparation and, if I can say, spontaneity.
You know, and you mentioned the anger, the reaction.
Here's a thought, though. Tell me whether you think this is right.
Obviously the Liberals' heads are exploding on this because it's yet further evidence for them that their narrative is slipping out of their fingers.
But it seemed to me the greatest antipathy Towards J.D. Vance's success last night wasn't from one of the mainstream media commentators.
It was from a notional Republican, a Reiner, David Frum, a guy who is responsible for the axis of evil expression and propaganda back in the The opening years, 20 or two, the opening years of this millennium and the pretext for the forever wars that followed in the Middle East.
That is, I think, illustrative that the sections, the military industrial complex wing of the Uniparty realize now that something fundamental is happening in America.
josh hammer
Yeah, look, I mean, the reason that I've gotten to know JD is because we both have kind of come of age in this younger conservative milieu.
I mean, we were both on the advisory board of an organization called American Moment, which is very much kind of a Trump-era personnel, administrative state staffing-focused organization.
We've spoken at the National Conservatism Conference many times.
I think we first met at the NatCon conference back in 2019.
But the point is...
You know, for our generation of conservatives, and J.D. Vance really is the emblematic one.
He is the chosen one, I think, for this younger generation of America First conservatives.
I mean, he came of age as we all did in a time where we saw the failures of the David
from Bill Kristol foreign policy overseas, the Dick Cheney swashbuckling neoconservatism
trying to sculpt Jeffersonian, Lockean democracies out of the sand of Iraq or the mountains of
Taliban infested Afghanistan.
I mean, J.D. Vance is from Ohio.
He has roots in Kentucky.
He has seen and witnessed and experienced and lived firsthand the failures of neoliberal
laissez-faire fundamentalism when it comes to free trade and the stripping down and the
outsourcing of America's manufacturing supply chains.
I've gotten dinner with J.D. Vance in Steubenville, Ohio, a tiny town, and walking around Steubenville,
Ohio, towns like this.
You see. You know, you see what the Washington consensus when it comes to so-called free trade with China.
You see it with your own eyes.
And those impressions simply cannot leave you.
So for the people who have been in a D.C. bubble, in the corridors of K Street and the think tanks and the so-called prestigious journals for the past 40, 50 years, who have promulgated policies that have manifestly in material terms failed the American people, they're never going to be able to reconcile that.
They're not going to be able to come to terms with the fact that their lifelong project, In many ways, the so-called conservative movement, in many ways, it's actually failed.
And it takes a younger, courageous breed of Republican to stare this down in the face to say, no, we're going to learn from you what we ought to learn from you.
But in many ways, you have actually failed.
You have failed the country.
And that is what this younger breed of Republican, younger breed of conservative represents.
J.D. Vance gets that to his core.
So the David Frums of the world are never going to like him.
But The opportunity for JD Vance looking ahead to 2028, and God knows how long he'll be on the national stage after that, The opportunity is really nothing less than an FDR or Ronald Reagan-like fundamental reshaping of America's political lines.
I think if this broader coalition of the center of people who neither support socialism nor free trade absolutism with China, this broad economic national populism, people who support a rational, sane foreign policy that is neither isolationist nor neoconservative, if he can target this common sense Coalition of the Center, this America First movement, he can fundamentally reshape America's political lines and win over voters to the Republican Party, I think, for an entire generation looking ahead 10, 15 years from now.
ben harnwell
Look, 40 seconds, 45 seconds if you can.
You mentioned his potential future on the national stage.
J.D. is back, right, on the basis of his debate performance he pulled in last night.
The memories of expressions like childless cat ladies, which really only resonated with talking heads and not particularly with the American public itself.
Those expressions are now in the past and J.D. is definitely back, has a future on the national stage.
josh hammer
I mean, I think J.D. Vance is going to be a fixture in American politics for a very long time.
I mean, after what I saw last night, I think that whether this ticket wins or loses, and God willing, it'll win.
But regardless, I think that J.D. Vance has established himself as the Republican frontrunner in 2028 after what I saw last night.
I mean, that was a dominant, dominant, dominant performance.
There's really no other way to look at it.
I mean, he just absolutely crushed it out there.
Tim Walls probably has his head in a bag this morning.
The guy's got to be so full of shame if he's even capable of that.
I think J.D. Vance is going to be a fixture in our stage for a long time, Ben.
ben harnwell
Josh, do me the great courtesy, if you would.
Stay online.
We're going to go quickly to North Carolina, and then we'll come back as you finish off your analysis.
unidentified
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bamr.
ben harnwell
Welcome back.
Well, we're all obviously watching the pictures from North Carolina and the devastation that
has been witnessed since Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida four days ago.
Some 150 people have been killed.
I think 53 of them in Asheville, in North Carolina itself.
And that's like well over a third of the tragedies, leaving the state with lines for groceries, for gas, to get into shelters, to get into charging stations to fill up the old We're very honoured to have Edward back online now.
Hopefully this is a more stable connection.
Edward, thanks for coming back and joining us.
Tell us, now you're there in Asheville.
You have the Billy Graham training centres in Cove, right?
You were telling me yesterday that you've actually been hit by some of the floods and then the line collapsed.
Tell me a bit more directly about how yourselves have been impacted.
I know the whole nation holds you and your family in the highest possible esteem.
Tell us a bit how you have been impacted and then more generally in Asheville and the wider North Carolina state.
unidentified
Yeah. Well, I'm actually in Boone, North Carolina, which is higher up.
This is where the Samaritan's Purse International Headquarters is, but we do have volunteers out here as well as in Asheville out.
We've got our teams down there, disaster relief teams, working out of the Billy Graham Training Center.
And as many know, Montreat, North Carolina, which is right beside Asheville, is where my grandfather called home.
My dad was born and raised there, and it's just been decimated.
The community between the Billy Graham Training Center and Montreat, called Swannanoa, It's gone.
And there's so much loss and devastation.
This is so bad that not just a guard has been called out.
The active army is moving.
I was in the special operations for years.
I've got friends and classmates from West Point calling me, brigade commanders.
They've been activated.
These engineer units are actually going into the Asheville area to begin work.
So you've got Community is all the way from Asheville to where I live here in Boone, North Carolina, along the Appalachian corridor there that are just gone forever.
Such destruction, such despair, but Samaria's Purse, we've already got We sent over a thousand volunteers out in North Carolina alone yesterday.
And we've got other locations in Florida and one in Georgia that we're responding to these storms.
But our volunteers go to let people know they're not forgotten and they're not forsaken.
Jesus loves them so much that he died on the cross for them.
So that's why we go. And there's a lot of work to do.
ben harnwell
Well, Samaritan's Purse itself has a worldwide reputation both on the missionary front and also on the humanitarian front.
I can't imagine you ever thought in your life you would need to direct these resources within North Carolina itself.
unidentified
Yeah, we respond to storms all over and to include usually at the coast of North Carolina with disaster relief, but I'm using an asset we usually use in maybe the Caribbean or some of the islands, and that's our helicopters.
We've got a helicopter that's been going nonstop up here delivering water supplies.
Just yesterday, it took it to an old folks home, an assisted living facility that was out of power, water, medicines, and they hadn't had a shift change since Friday.
So we took the necessary equipment, water, communications, took a big generator up there and just brought reprieve and hope.
They were crying, the staff there, when we talked to them the other night.
We just found another one. We're using our helicopters to get water to local churches and to move on because we can do what they call sling load operations, which is usually a military capability, but we can carry large amounts of weight underneath our helicopter and nets And that's something that we usually use overseas.
So we're taking what we learned from international disasters and we're implementing that here as well in the United States.
ben harnwell
You mentioned just a moment or so ago that entire communities have been wiped out.
Do you think there'll be a rebuild, a reconstruction, or will the reconstruction take place around existing undamaged cities moving forward?
unidentified
You know, I looked at that first morning in Boone, North Carolina.
I saw over a thousand volunteers show up.
I'm proud of where I'm from here in the South, in the mountains of North Carolina.
We've got great people. You ask me, we rebuild?
Yeah, America will rebuild.
That's what we do. But I pray, you know, America is built on the rock of Jesus Christ.
That is the foundation of this nation.
Now, people have been trying to chip away and break away at that.
But this is an opportunity for the church, the body of Christ, to say, Jesus is the rock.
Let's build our house on the rock of Jesus.
And no storms, no rain, no water can wash that away.
ben harnwell
Amen. Yesterday, when the line collapsed, I invited people to come onto your website, the Samaritan's Purse website, and either to make a donation if they're able to, also to unite themselves in prayer to what's going on.
What can people do, and who are watching these scenes of devastation, what can they do to help Samaritan's Purse, which I repeat, I have a slight personal experience of the amazing work that you do right across the world.
What could they do to assist the Graham family?
unidentified
Well, I appreciate you bringing it up.
You know, we've got incredible staff and already volunteers showing up.
You can go to samaritanspurse.org or spvolunteer.org if you want to volunteer.
Now, we have overnight volunteers that usually come and stay in the churches where we are, and we're full in many of these locations for the overnight.
But we need day volunteers, people that can come in for the day and go, you know what?
And I need you to stay focused on this.
Here in a few weeks, something else will happen.
We'll get further in the election.
I call it the Kardashian effect.
You know, the Kardashians will walk by and then another person does, and we lose interest in what's going on, what really matters in this country.
We need volunteers for a long time.
You asked if we can rebuild?
Yes. And Samaritan's Purse won't leave until the job is done, but we need volunteers to keep coming.
ben harnwell
Edward, I know you've got a lot that's demanding your time and attention right there in North Carolina.
Just in one minute before you go, would you quickly lead us in prayer?
unidentified
You know what? Thank you.
I'm a firm believer in the power of prayer, and let's do that.
Lord, we come to you right now.
We ask for your protection.
We ask for wisdom.
We ask for your grace.
We thank you for the protection that was offered to so many.
But Lord, we right now pray for a blessing to those that have lost so much.
Surround them with the love of the church.
Now, Lord, I just pray that you equip the body of Christ to go out and serve boldly in those that may have no hope.
And if they ask, why has God forsaken me, Lord?
Let Samaritan's Purse and the churches there in those communities to lift them up so you're not forgotten, you're not forsaken.
You're loved so much that God sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to die on a cross.
And Lord, we pray for rebuilding and the healing of this nation that can only come from the hand of Jesus.
Lord, we ask for forgiveness.
And we thank you for this opportunity to go out and serve near disaster.
Thank you for equipping us with the resources to be bold and go out quickly.
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
ben harnwell
Amen. Thank you very much.
Just once again, Edward, would you quickly give your website for people to make a note on?
unidentified
SamaritansPurse.com and you can scroll down on how to get involved or you can go to SPVolunteer.org God bless you.
ben harnwell
Thank you very much for coming on the show today.
unidentified
Thank you. Appreciate it.
ben harnwell
Thank you. And of course our prayers will definitely stay with everybody there over the unfolding hours.
We'll go quickly back to Josh Hammer.
Josh, thank you.
The question I had for you before we had to go to Edward Graham there was Tim Walsh referred to himself being a knucklehead when it emerged that some of his narrative, his personal experiences, seemed to be totally fictitious.
He claimed, somewhat quixotically, to have been in Tiananmen Square at the time of the protest.
In one and a half minutes, could you just quickly tell me, what do you make of that?
Isn't that not absolutely astonishing, that a candidate for vice president should have totally made up part of his own Yeah, I mean, the real question, Ben, is what has Tim Walz not lied about at this point?
josh hammer
I mean, that particular lie, the Tiananmen Square lie, was so egregious that it was no less than the New York Times itself.
That just outright said in an article, this is not true.
I mean, the protest happened earlier in the summer in June, if memory serves, and he actually got to Tiananmen Square or Beijing, I guess, more generally in August of that year.
I mean, it's just not accurate.
I mean, but, you know, Tim Walls can't actually say on the national stage, oh, sorry, I was just lying for political exaggeration.
So I guess knucklehead is the best he can do.
I mean, the way this guy talks about You know, his high school football coaching career.
I mean, you think he was like Bill Belichick or Nick Saban or something like that.
I mean, have you won the Heisman Trophy or something, dude?
But I mean, he has this ability where he just tries to do this whole folksy Midwestern thing.
Joe Biden has a version of that, too, in his mind.
It's kind of the whole from Scranton, Pennsylvania thing.
It was great that they called him out on that.
Tim Walls did not show up last night.
I mean, he was underprepared.
He clearly did not rise to the moment.
I mean, if we're just being candid here, he's operating probably about a full standard deviation or two below J.D. Vance as far as like an IQ level playing field.
So he's just clearly outwitted and outclassed up there.
But the dude just didn't show up last night.
ben harnwell
He certainly didn't.
And that's illustrative, I think, of the general condition of the Democrats right now, including the top of the ticket.
Stand by, Josh. We'll give your socials in two minutes when we come back after this short break.
dave brat
With the massive tax hikes proposed by Harris, an almost 40% top income tax rate, 7% increase to the corporate tax, a capital gains tax on unrealized gains, and the fact that she's proposing to add almost $2 trillion to a current $2 trillion deficit.

Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
ben harnwell
Welcome back. Josh, thanks for your analysis this morning.
I think that Warren will be very much enthused by your reading of the debate.
That's my reading too. Where do people go to stay up with your writing, your analysis, your podcast?
josh hammer
Yeah, thanks as always, Ben.
I mean, look, I mean, just final real quick comments on J.D. Vance.
I mean, I hope that it makes an impact.
I mean, you know, historically, vice presidential debates don't make a massive margin.
I actually think this one's going to make a bigger difference than most VP debates in the past have, but obviously the proof will ultimately be in the pudding.
In any event, you can follow me on X, Josh underscore Hammer.

unidentified
God bless for now. God bless, man.
ben harnwell
Well, we were just talking just a few moments or so ago with Edward Graham, Billy Graham's grandson, chief operating officer at Samaritan's Purse.
And I'll give that Samaritan's Purse reference at the very end of the show, if you want to have a pencil standing by.
But another person on the ground to talk to is Joe Reek from MyPatriotSupply, who is also assisting with the humanitarian Joe, good morning.
Tell me what you're doing to help out there.
joe rieck
Well, good morning, Ben.
And I just want to start off. Our hearts and our prayers are with those who have been affected by this recent hurricane.
And we understand that it is going to be a large effort to help those people.
In fact, we're doing our part here at My Patriot Supply.
And I just want to share with you some of the operations that we are involved with right now to give relief efforts for those that have been affected.
You know, we're partnering with Information Technology Disaster Resource Center to help
get communication hotspots up and running, charging stations, cell phone towers up across
North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, the Appalachian region.
We're partnering with Operation Barbecue Relief to get hot meals to victims of the hurricane.
Right now there are currently boots on the ground in eight different locations throughout
Florida as well as Georgia.
We've partnered with Mercury One.
We're teaming up with Congressman Corey Mills and Moms for Liberty to aid Nashville, where we've secured at least two different helicopters to be able to rush in to get supplies into the North Carolina area.
Primarily, that's going to be involved with baby supplies, personal hygiene products,
diapers, paper towels, non-perishable food to the people in North Carolina.
We've partnered with a gentleman named Jack Brewer, who is delivering a truckload of food,
as well as water bottles. And we're also working with Operation Blessing, who have set up a base
camp in Valdesta, Georgia, where their teams are fully engaged in relief efforts. We anticipate
a multi-week deployment, utilizing a large portion of our fleet, mobile kitchens, as well as
construction trailers, trucks.
We also are partnering with the U.S. Disaster Relief and the international teams that are actively engaged, responding to the needs on the ground.
And we're doing our part here at My Patriot Supply.
And, you know, during this time, it's always a reminder that we need to get prepared.
And this is what we do here at My Patriot Supply is we help people get prepared for these types of situations.
You know, there are still thousands of people without power.
And preparedness doesn't have to be a big task.
It can be something... As simple as having a 4-in-1 emergency radio so you can have the communications to understand what is going on.
Even a power bank supply so you can charge your cell phones or those small electronic devices.
Having a solar powered generator so you can power your CPAP machine and get you what you need to get going.
Of course, the basic items of having food and water available on hand is really something important to have.
And again, if you don't know what to do, don't know how to get started, you can contact us here at MyPatriotSupply.
You can go to MyPatriotSupply.com and look at the hundreds of items that we have for emergency preparedness, from long-term emergency food to water filtration items, as well as to solar generator systems that can give you the power that you need to turn on some lights in the evening.
We have fire starters so you can be able to start a fire.
Vesta heater stove so you can heat up your rooms if you need to when the power is out.
All of these items is what we have here at Patriot Supply.
We are currently shipping orders right now for those who are wanting to get prepared.
Again, this is a good reminder to understand that emergency preparedness is not a bad thing.
It's becoming more and more mainstream as we see that these weather systems and these storms are getting more intense.
Not only that, but we have this global conflict that's happening over in the Middle East where Iran launched missiles into Iran, as well as the port strike.
We saw the effects of the supply chain three years ago, back in October of 2021, when the ports were backed up with all the cargo ships and the detrimental impact of having those ports slowed down or even the ports stopped.
So these are the things that we try to educate people that because we live in such a volatile time right now, we're so interconnected.
Things happen and it causes a chain reaction.
You know, we even had the Verizon cell phone outage as well.
So there are a multitude of things going on at once.
But again, if I can do anything, Ben, I just want to remind people that you don't have to be afraid.
You don't have to be scared.
You know, there is a lot of peace of mind in being prepared.
And if you don't know how to do it, don't know what to do, you can give us a call.
In fact, that number is 866-229-0927.
Again, that number is 866-229-0927.
Here at MyPatriotSupply, we're also donating a portion of all of our proceeds to help out with this relief effort.
And it's our responsibility and our obligation and our privilege to be able to help those out in need, Ben.
ben harnwell
Joe, if anyone is listening to this show and they're not convinced of the need to stock their own pantries or hardware But they do want to assist their fellow Americans and they've heard the humanitarian work that you're contributing to.
Are they able to phone you, make a donation for something to go directly to the people in Asheville or elsewhere in North Carolina?
joe rieck
Can they do that for you? Absolutely.
If you want to help contribute by buying long-term emergency food or even water pouches or ration bars, you can do that by going to the website and entering in the promo code MERCURY1. And that'll help let us know that that's going to be part of the relief effort and part of the donation for it as well.
But again, I just want to emphasize that there are people like MyPatriotSupply to help Others get better prepared and to educate people that, again, emergency preparedness is a real thing.
And like I said before, there is peace and power in being prepared to give you that peace of mind and that confidence that should you have to evacuate your home, have the education and have the necessary items so that way you can continue to provide for yourself as well as your family.
One of the things that we like to talk about too is a get-up-and-go kit.
You know, this is a simple backpack, something like this.
It doesn't have to be this kit, but it can be something very similar to it, to where you can put a first aid kit.
You can put in a change of clothes, a sweatshirt.
You can put in some water filtration bottles.
You can put in some long-term emergency calorie bars.
You can put in some other items in there.
That way, if you get that call in the middle of the night, you can quickly grab your bag and you can run out the door if you need to.
Or if you're going to be sheltering in place, we have different items so you can make sure that you're going to be continuing to provide what you need for you and your family, whether that's a Vesta space heater to warm up your room, or whether it's a solar generator to be able to power your devices or to turn on some lights or to keep your refrigerator going.
We have these items that will help you in any type of event or any type of a situation, Ben.
ben harnwell
Joey, once again, the website.

ben harnwell
Many thanks indeed for joining us on the show today, Joe.
God bless. Catch up again with you soon.
joe rieck
All right. You guys be safe. Thank you.
ben harnwell
Now, today, I believe it's today, 75th anniversary of communist China.
Happy birthday, CCP. And Xi Jinping has repeated his pledge to achieve reunification, inverted commas, with Taiwan.
Well, Colonel Mills, you just got back from Taiwan.
Tell me, what is the mood there like right now?
unidentified
Thank you, Ben.
They're getting prepared.
An order was just given that 400,000 civilians were essentially mobilized to be help in supply, logistics, medical, disaster response and recovery.
So they are building a large infrastructure of support for just such a, if it goes kinetic, it's looking bad.
When I was there, they said they were concerned they're going to be quarantined, like the Cuban Missile Crisis, quarantined.
That means ships were going to be stopped, inspected, or turned away.
The first 200 Harpoon long-range missiles just arrived and were offloaded in Kaohsiung.
That's exactly the kind of cargo, and that's exactly why the Chinese have penetrated Logink, one of the international logistics software platforms, so they can know the manifest of each of these ships.
So they could potentially block ships We're good to go.
ben harnwell
The scenes, right across the world, the scenes seem to be moving towards World War III. And that's a very solitary observation that you just made.
Tell me, because 75 years for the CCP then today, nobody wants them to reach their 100th birthday.
Most people seem to think sooner or later this wicked evil regime is going to run out of steam.
Just very, very quickly, what is the view in Taiwan on this?
Do they have a feeling that the final grains of sand of this regime are bouncing around the bottom of the hourglass?
unidentified
One minute, if you please. Yeah, they just say, give us the weapons they've already bought and paid for.
We will defend ourselves.
We don't need Americans on the ground, just the weapons we've already bought and paid for.
There's 19 major sales.
They want the weapons so they can defend themselves.
They have a Churchillian resolve to defend the island and their country.
I'm going to the embassy tonight, the Taiwan embassy.
There's a celebration of over 100 years of history of the country of Taiwan.
They want to defend themselves.
They just want the weapons they've already bought and paid for.
ben harnwell
Perfect. Okay, so look, if you'd be so kind, hold on.
We'll be going to a break now, but back in two minutes.
And I'd like you to tell me some more about your visit to Taiwan and what you've picked up there.
Stand back. Stand by.
dave brat

I'm going after your mind to find your soul.

Well, they were Sounds of
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bann Oh, oh, it's true
ben harnwell
you Colonel Mills, I know you have an interesting observation also about the Philippines, but just tell me some more, if you wouldn't mind, seeing as you have direct personal experience of Taiwan, you've just come back.
Just tell me something about your personal experiences whilst you were there on the island.
unidentified
Well, two events happened while I was on the island.
It was a great week sponsored.
We met a number of government ministries and think tanks.
They believe strongly in their island.
Now, on Thursday of the week, the US and the EU put out a very strong statement about Of support for Taiwan.
And this is so critical. They left out this stupid one, which was good.
They left out the one China statement, which when I first started as a government official, started going to Taiwan 12 years ago, I said, this one China thing makes no sense.
We need to dump it and we need to stop bowing to China on this.
So they left it out huge, caused a number of air incursions.
They lost an aircraft, the Taiwanese lost an aircraft, engine malfunction.
But it was a great week.
They have six months of energy, six months of food.
They feel the reality of being a country.
They're only down to 12 countries that officially recognize them.
They feel constricted, but they're proud of their roots and their heritage.
I was brought to a prison where during the reign of white terror of Chiang Kai-shek,
who used to be our guy, he was a brutal thug.
And there was a gentleman there who gave a tour of the prison.
He had spent 12 years there for no reason.
A very, very emotional visit.
And he says, we are now a democratic republic and we believe in our country.
They graduated from totalitarianism to being a model democratic republic and they don't want to go back and they don't want to join this fallacy that there's some connection.
They are an independent country, so quite emotional during the prison tour of this gentleman and the graduation.
They are a country.
They don't need anybody's approval or blessing to be a country.
They feel independent and we need to figure out a way to get them some form of UN recognition.
The General Assembly just Just left.
It was 2007.
It looks like one of our Bush folks, I think I know who it was, pocket vetoed their request to join the UN. Shameful, shameful that that happened.
But that was, I believe, our director of national intelligence at the time.
Everybody can look up and see who that was.
So, proud country.
ben harnwell
And about the Philippines?
unidentified
Yeah, if you're looking at it, if I was a PLA planner and we were going to go kinetic, beyond unrestricted warfare, I'd go after the Philippines first.
The Filipinos are great.
I love them.
They're wonderful. They don't have the heavy artillery.
They don't have the long-range missiles.
They're trying to get them...
They, if I look, they're just not ready.
If I was a planner, I'd say, why am I going to go up against Taiwan when you've got Luzon, the Northern Island, and especially the important Botanese Islands?
Those are midway between Taiwan and the Philippines.
They seize the Botanese Islands that are essentially unprotected.
They control the access point for their submarines to the deep Pacific.
So if I'm a planner, I'm going...
Let's go after the botanese.
That's Philippine territory.
So that's dangerous. We're trying to put missiles there now, but they're not there now.
And we got to move faster on this.
And it would be nice if there was somebody encumbering the presidency that was giving direction and guidance.
Apparently, we have no president right now.
ben harnwell
Brian Kennedy is just micing up and he's coming on just after the break, I think, from the Committee on the Present Danger, also to talk about China and Israel as well.
And as you're talking, you know, you're mentioning Taiwan, you're mentioning the Philippines.
He's going to be talking about Israel.
Obviously, there's Ukraine in the background.
One question is...
It's always on the back of my mind when I hear about how America is underwriting the freedom and security of countries around the world in the face of their rather larger despotic neighbours.
Can America afford to do everything?
Bearing in mind, of course, famously, that you guys are adding one trillion dollars to your national debt every hundred days.
unidentified
Well, yeah. If we secured the southern border and stopped giving this god-awful mess of largesse out of the treasury, that would save a lot of money.
Job one is to secure the border and take care of Americans like in North Carolina, Tennessee, and South Carolina.
That's job one. There's just this hateful behavior.
They've weaponized FEMA aid.
I mean, I used to be the liaison from DOD to FEMA. That was my last uniformed assignment.
And I just, the lethargy of FEMA in responding to this situation, this is clearly weaponized and political.
This is East Palestine on steroids.
So We'd save a lot of money if we just stopped giving out these debit cards with $50,000 and stopped paying for all these illegals to stay at these hotels.
I mean, we'd save a boatload of money and we could use it to secure the border and properly allocate military aid because China is intent on collapsing America through unrestricted warfare, which is Sometimes means kinetic warfare.
Look, we wouldn't have the missile launches by Iran on Israel if it wasn't for China.
Iran, Russia, North Korea, Venezuela are colonies of China at this point in time.
The one calling the shots on the world on fire, and President Trump has used this term many times.
I've used that in my brief for several years.
We are a world on fire.
At home, 10,000 dead a month.
If people have not...
We've all seen the bodies in the street.
What more evidence do we need?
If that's not compelling, we've lost more in one year than 40 years of combat in the entire Vietnam War and War on Terror combined at home from fentanyl, 100% from China, made under their supervision in northern Mexico.
If that's not compelling, I don't know what is.
But we could save a buck.
Stop giving out these debit cards to the illegals.
This is just insulting.
My wife is in Is in Tucson.
She can't get a decent hotel because the blue crazy mayor in Tucson is using federal money to buy hotel rooms for these illegals.
ben harnwell
Colonel Mills, 20 seconds.
Where do folks go to stay up with your analysis on all things military?
unidentified
Thank you, Ben.
So on X, I'm back on X as Colonel Rhett John.
Colonel R-E-T John 2.
On X, Colonel Rhett John 2.
And then Colonel Rhett John, Substack, Getter, and Truth.
And you'll see me in numerous places, Gateway Pundit, Epic Times, et cetera, et cetera.
And thank you, Ben. Thank you very much.
