Election workers, the vast majority of them women, say they're feeling vulnerable to the charged political climate surrounding the 2024 election.
38% of the women staffing the polls say they've experienced threats, harassment, or abuse, fueling the violence, disinformation, and conspiracy theories following the 2020 election.
Joining us now, Elizabeth Landers, lead correspondent for the Scripps News Disinformation Desk.
And Liz, you traveled to Surrey County in North Carolina to really dig deep on this.
What did you find?
We traveled there back in June to get a sense of how disinformation is impacting election workers, specifically the almost all-female team that heads up Surrey County's elections.
This is a small county.
It's about 70,000 people.
It's best known as the birthplace of Andy Griffith, and it's It's overwhelmingly a red Republican area.
It went 75% for the former president in 2020.
Despite that, though, and despite him winning that area, this small community has been dealing with mis- and disinformation around the elections since they took place.
And the woman who heads up the elections there is Michelle Huff.
She's the team of just four other people helping her administer these elections.
They're working on this year-round.
She described to us how things have changed since 2020.
Take a listen.
I was actually in one store in downtown Mount Airy.
I was cornered and pressed for 20 minutes.
This person was getting everything that they felt for the 2020 election that Trump did not win because of what election officials in this country did.
Even in my church, all of a sudden election officials are people to not be trusted and not believe.
And Allie, disinformation in Surrey County for Michelle really reached ahead in 2022.
She said there were people that showed up at their office, confronted her about their voting systems, were asking her to see the voting machines, which the North Carolina State Board of Elections says that would have been illegal to give access to people who are not allowed to be around voting machines, that access to critical infrastructure there.
They said they had evidence that the voting machines were pinging cell towers.
In 2020, so they were pushing conspiracies and unfounded information to her.
And Michelle has said that she has had to harden their office, make changes there, that she never thought that she would have to consider the safety of herself, her staff, her family, but really she has in the last four years.
And she is concerned about this in the lead up to the election in November.
It makes a lot of sense, especially given the fact that this is a county that went so squarely for Trump, and yet the aspersions and bad faith that he has put upon the election system writ large are clearly even playing out in red counties.
So then given what we saw in 2020, given what she's experiencing in counties like this one, what's being done to protect election workers?
And I also imagine that this is impacting the number of people who want to be election workers.
Absolutely.
The Brennan Center for Justice, who we interviewed for this piece, says that they are losing election workers at sort of an unprecedented rate right now.
People just don't want to do this kind of work because of these threats and harassment that they're dealing with.
And in addition to that, they're losing the institutional knowledge.
It's a lot of minutiae that are involved in election administration.
Every state in this country has a different way that they administer these elections.
So the Brennan Center is concerned about that and I would also just add too that 80% of these election workers in this country are female.
So part of the reason that we were focused on this story is because we've been tracking how disinformation is impacting women over at Scripps News.
We've been kind of doing a series on this and this is really impacting election workers because so many of them are women across the country, Ally.
Really great reporting, Liz.
It's going to have a long tail as we go into the 2024 election cycle.
Thank you for tracking it and thank you for bringing it to us.
They're also facing concerns over how to protect the workers who will be overseeing the entire process.
Nearly 40 percent of local election workers surveyed earlier this year reported facing threats or abuse.
That's according to the Brennan Center for Justice.
And now in Battleground Georgia, local election officials in One Atlanta area county will be equipped with panic buttons to combat rising threats.
steve bannon
This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
unidentified
Pray for our enemies.
Because we're going medieval on these people.
steve bannon
I got a free shot on all these networks lying about the people.
unidentified
The people have had a belly full of it.
I know you don't like hearing that.
I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it.
It's going to happen.
jake tapper
And where do people like that go to share the big lie?
unidentified
MAGA Media.
jake tapper
I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
unidentified
Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
steve bannon
If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.

War Room, here's your host, Stephen K. Bann.
natalie winters
Welcome to The War Room, where it's always an honor to host, but especially today, Saturday, September 7th, in the year
of our Lord, 2020.
You guys know Stephen K. Bannon.
His favorite show of the week, it's no secret, is always the Saturday morning show, so I'm honored to be sitting in here giving you guys two hours of signal, not noise, and information warfare.
The good kind, not the bad kind, the propaganda, the state-funded propaganda that you guys just watched coming from MSNBC.
You guys know they're going hard with the narrative that MAGA is coming to intimidate and terrify election workers.
This time they went with the sexism feminist angle.
I guess they got to keep things interesting over on MSNBC when the numbers are nose-diving, so much so that they're buying panic buttons for election workers.
But you guys know they're just laying the groundwork to add to election delays, to say that President Trump is trying to steal the election because all these people deal in and peddle in, is projection.
Now, you guys know that we've been tracking what's going on in Georgia, particularly with that election board.
Although I'd be quick to add, you guys I'm sure heard two separate references.
You guys know we're big on pattern recognition here in the war room.
To the Brennan Center, providing the evidence for these bogus claims that MAGA is coming to steal the election.
Fun fact about the Brennan Center, not just are they funded by George Soros, because of course, but they're also one of the clients of Judge Juan Marchand's daughter, Lauren Marchand, her nice Swampy consulting firm.
Oh, no, that's right.
They were also behind the push in Colorado to get President Trump removed from the ballot.
No conspiracies, no coincidences there.
No wonder why they think asking questions is a crime, as MSNBC said.
But as you guys know, as we barrel towards November 5th, I don't think we're just dealing in terms of information warfare.
It's actually kinetic warfare.
It's boots on the ground.
It's about ballots, not votes.
It's about signature verification.
The left is intent on making sure that this election isn't about candidate quality or candidate choice, but it's about, frankly, how many ballots with a very poor chain of custody that they can certify.
It's how Kamala Harris won her 2010 race, won for AG out in California.
And Georgia, that election board that I'm sure you guys have heard about, really is ground zero.
For this fight.
Now, I'm honored to bring on Liz Harrington, who I want you to sort of give us a summary, a conspectus of where we stand on that fight and why.
We'll get into it.
But Stacey Abrams, these outside groups are pouring in to pressure Brian Kemp, Governor Brian Kemp, to remove these MAGA election workers from that election board for daring to extend the certification timeline.
liz harrington
Well, good morning, Natalie.
Thanks so much.
Great intro to all of this, this battleground that we're seeing.
Georgia is ground zero.
And how do I know they're doing something right is because they've had to parachute in literally all the never Trumpers, all the D.C.
far left lawyers.
They're actually having to play defense in Georgia because People are doing the right thing.
So what's happening at the Georgia State Election Board, it's funny, MSNBC doesn't feel the need to defend the females on the Georgia State Election Board who are coming under threat and under fire for simply wanting transparency and accountability over Georgia's elections, which we know are so corrupt.
All that they have done on this election board, the three members, is pass these rules That is what they are so terrified of, to make sure that the votes equal the number of voters.
There's a very important rule coming up, which is why there's so much pushback.
And collusion between the rhinos, the far left and the fake news media descending upon Georgia is because there's an important rule where you would be required to hand count the paper ballots at the precinct level each day of voting to simply make sure that the numbers match the machines, right?
Very simple, basic stuff, something that everybody should want.
Everybody should want the numbers to match.
And of course, there's so much pushback.
So you're getting these never Trumpers signing letters like the Hunter Biden is Russian disinformation.
The 50, 51 lying Intel agencies.
It's the same tactic.
They're trying to pressure Brian Kemp.
To go after and remove these members of the state election board totally illegally and illegitimately, by the way, the attorney general who has refused to investigate 2020, even though he's been handed legitimate evidence of the duplicate ballots counted there recently that the state election board put forth, he even It has given kind of Kempen out in saying there's no real justification to hold a hearing just because Fulton County and the RINOs and Brad Raffensperger don't like what the state election board is doing by passing these common sense rules.
It's been very telling.
We'll see what Kemp will do, but the pressure needs to be on him.
Everybody should want the vote totals to match.
Everybody should want the certification to be, quote, true and accurate.
And that's all the state election board has done in passing these rules.
natalie winters
You know we're over the target when they're wheeling out Rachel Maddow to write op-eds for the Washington Post about how Georgia election workers are burning down democracy.
An infamous coup plotter, Norm Eisen, I think sort of got ahead of this Stacey Abrams group writing an op-ed for, I think it was the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, saying that Kemp needs to remove these workers.
But War Room Posse, you guys know we are all about burning phone lines down here, metaphorically, of course, here in the War Room.
So I want to play you Stacey Abrams' ad, because we're going to do some cultural appropriation We're going to take the phone number that they're calling, their approach to trying to bully and intimidate Kemp into removing these workers.
We're going to give him a nice reminder this weekend and this week that you need to keep those election workers on there.
So Denver, let's roll the odd that Stacey Abrams' group, Fair Fight, put out.
unidentified
When they lose, mega-extremists say the election was rigged.
But they're the ones doing the rigging, changing Georgia election rules in secret.
todd bensman
It's a conspiracy that could help Trump.
unidentified
The Republican AG has called their actions illegal, and they're being sued for violating the law.
Brian Kemp could shut it down to make sure our elections are independent.
So call Kemp and tell him to remove these mega-extremists from power.
Fair Fight is responsible for the content of this advertisement.
natalie winters
I think we're going to take that call to arms ourselves.
Liz Harrington, we will put the number up on the screen, but I want you to tell the audience, I think we should have it up now, what the number is that they can call.
It's 404-656-1776.
Let's do justice to those last four digits, but why the audience needs to call now, and most importantly, what they should be saying.
liz harrington
Well, they should tell Governor Kemp that, hey, do you want your elections to be fair?
I mean, that's an open question with him, right, given the past history.
But we should support patriotic people who really have no dog in these fights.
They just want their elections to be real and accurate.
That's it.
That's all that they're doing.
Putting extra checks in place to make sure that the totals match, making sure they've had other rules, trying to protect mail-in ballots to make sure that there's extra verification, to make sure that they're following state law.
And that's all that this is about.
So we want to uphold the rule of law.
We want to make sure our accounts are accurate and fair.
That's all that we've ever asked for.
That's all that President Trump I think it's so ironic that that ad is literally verbatim a history lesson of what the Democrats did in 2016.
When they lost, what did they do?
They claimed it was rigged by Russia.
And you, I'm sure, have noted, Natalie, that they're trying to resurrect that whole hoax again because they know they can't win fair and square.
That's why they have to oppose simple, basic reconciliation rules, because there's only one reason why you wouldn't want to check that the results are true and accurate, that you wouldn't want to let election boards actually look at what they're certifying, that you would oppose voter ID, and that you wouldn't want to make sure that the vote numbers match the machines.
It's because you want to cheat.
And that's the only reason they're in opposition to this.
They want to certify elections before you find out what's in it.
That's what they did in 2020.
We're not going to let it happen again in 2024.
natalie winters
Same playbook, same tired tactics.
Liz Harrington, if people want to follow you, stay up to date.
You're always kind of ahead of the curve when it comes to all things elections, but especially Georgia, where can they go to do all that?
liz harrington
I'm at RealLizUSA on X and TruSocial and warroom.org should have a new piece coming up here shortly.
natalie winters
Thank you so much for joining us in The War and we're always honored to have you.
Liz Harrington, thank you.
You bet.
We're in posse.
In the meantime, you guys can go to birchgold.com slash Bannon or text Bannon to 989898 to get the latest installment of The End of the Dollar Empire.
Or get in touch, get in contact with Philip Patrick and the team.
I hear they're giving out free, cool silver Trump coins with the fight, fight, fight iconic image on there if you talked to them before the election.
That's birchgold.com slash Bannon.
We'll be right back.
unidentified
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bamm.
natalie winters
I think I know this audience pretty well and I know you guys aren't going to let Stacey
Abrams and her political hacks outshine you.
That's why we've got to make sure we're calling Governor Brian Kemp.
That's 404-656-1776.
We're not going to be overshadowed, I guess, no pun intended, by Stacey Abrams.
We're joined now by Jenny Beth Martin of the wonderful Tea Party Patriots group.
Now, Jenny Beth, you are sort of the boots on the ground there with what's going on in Georgia.
I'd love your perspective if you could kind of let the audience know what the fight's looking like down there.
jenny beth martin
Well, regarding what we were just talking about with your last guest, about what the Attorney General and the Governor did, I think that most of the activists who are extremely active in Georgia are not surprised that the Governor found a way not to do anything and not to remove the members of the state election board, which I think is a good thing.
But given the fact that he never called a special session His actions are consistent, and while we don't like the fact that he didn't do some of the other things, I'm glad that he did not become inconsistent and actively work against the state election board members.
He has consistently not consolidated power either.
I don't know that he's exercising all the power he has, but he also hasn't tried to sweep up more power in the office of the governor, which could be used by Democrats later if precedents were set.
It's good that right now the state election board members are staying.
The rules that they have made are in place now, the ones that they have approved that had a majority vote.
The Democrats and the liberal groups are suing over them, so there will be some lawfare going on with that.
But The rules and the fact that the state election board made these rules are in line with Georgia law.
The board is allowed to propagate and is actually empowered to propagate the rules.
So they are following the law to do so.
And then the rules that they created also are related to sections of the Georgia election code.
So they're trying to just say, OK, this is a law.
Now, how do we actually implement this?
Practically speaking, that's what they're supposed to be doing.
And so I think that even in legal challenges, the rules will hold up and also Counting the number of ballots to make sure that the physical number of paper ballots matches what's in the scanner, matches the number of voters that voted in a precinct.
This isn't trying to rig an election.
It's trying to make sure that at the end of the election, regardless of who wins, we can have confidence and faith in it.
And I think that if People on both sides of the aisle, just step back for a minute and think about what that rule does.
We would want it no matter whether you're a Republican or a Democrat.
natalie winters
I think I was told by Barack Obama that elections have consequences.
Well, Democrats, these are the consequences of a MAGA winning, taking over election boards.
I'm curious, you guys always have sort of the grassroots push of what people can do if they want to get involved, take up, you know, a call to arms, metaphorically, of course.
But what are you guys working on now to make sure the Georgia elections are and stay secure?
jenny beth martin
Well, it's very important that the people who are listening right now don't get discouraged by the things that you hear.
Just let that be your motivation to take action.
And right now, if you go to our website at MarchtoVictory.com, our super-packed Tea Party Patriot Citizens Fund has all sorts of activities for you.
Our postcards that you can fill out.
We address the postcards for you so you don't have to hand address it.
You just write a note to the voter.
And we even give sample messages for you to use for what to say to the voters.
We make it very, very simple.
So you can find that at March2Victory.com.
We also have phone banking.
We have door knocking.
We are partnering with Turning Point Action.
And with America first works on the door knocking throughout the country.
So there are a lot of opportunities for that.
And we have poll watching.
We've got poll watcher training specifically in Georgia, but we connect people with the people who are heading up election integrity efforts.
Usually they're connected with the election integrity network, but they're those who are heading up those coalitions in other states.
And on Sunday and Monday, we're launching our eight-week plan of action, so you can take action and pick different things to do every single week.
We're focusing on different issues, working on messaging.
Next week, we'll have a Kamala quiz.
The week after that, we're focused on citizen-only voting, along with a lot of groups around the entire country.
And then we have other issues throughout the next eight weeks.
We only have eight weeks left.
Voting is beginning right now in North Carolina and it also begins in Virginia in just another week or so and we have to make sure that we don't let all this other stuff become a distraction and we focus on the hard, roll up your sleeves, get to work Things that must be done to make sure that we know who's planning to vote and that they actually go and cast the ballots.
If we don't have enough people casting those ballots, we don't have any chance of winning.
So we have to do that while the people who are attorneys and the people working on the election integrity coalitions, working on the rules in Georgia and the other efforts like that, they keep working on those things and we work on helping with poll watching and then also getting out the vote.
natalie winters
We're all about human agency here in the war room, but unfortunately I think the left and their dark money allies are too, although I guess their issues are slightly more astroturfed.
But there's an interesting piece that I saw was put up last night on Democracy Docket, which is the kind of legal lawfare apparatus of Mark Elias' operation.
Everyone who watches this show I'm sure is well aware of who Mark Elias is, sort of the tip of the spear when it comes to Democrats' lawfare machine, especially when it comes to election law.
The story that they put up last night was, quote, the right is doubling down on election litigation, but isn't winning.
They went through about 72 lawsuits thus far that have been filed by Republicans.
Interesting buried lead, 51 of them coming from state and local parties with just 14
coming from RNC.
Just putting that out there, a little bit of a buried lead, interesting.
Maybe they should pick up the slack.
But they walk through what they determine the losses, the victories, or sort of the
ties are on what is a total of around 300 election cases against some of these being
brought by outside groups.
But they're identifying from their numbers that of those 290 voting rights cases that
184 were victories for the Mark Eliases of the world, 76 were losses for people like
us, and they say 30 were about neutral.
Now, look, I don't usually take Mark Elias at his word, but when it comes to their adjudication of certain legal decisions favoring the outcome of Democrats in elections, I think I'll take his word on that.
What do you make of this assessment?
Do you think that we need to, you know, pick up the slack and really get into high gear?
Or do you think this is, you know, left-wing misinformation?
I'm just curious, your kind of countrywide take on where we stand on lawfare.
jenny beth martin
Well, here's what I think.
Now, I haven't read that assessment, so I'm speaking off the cuff here based on the summary that you just gave.
But based on what I watched happen in 2020 and 2022 and what's happening right now, I know a couple of things.
Sometimes when they're creating reports like this, they will create reports and include lawsuits with people who never had a chance of winning and are not actually representing an actual campaign or a party, whether it's a state, local or the RNC.
So I think you have to just sort of take some of those out potentially because they may not even be ones that that the candidates who have a stake in the election would
be considering.
The other thing to remember is that a lot of local and state election, I mean, not elections,
but judges are elected and oftentimes they're more left-leaning.
So sometimes you may not win at the local level, but then it goes up to an appellate court or the state equivalent of the state Supreme Court and a different decision is made.
So I would say that looking at the numbers just based on what you're saying right now, I would just say you've got to dig really deep to understand what he's talking about and whether there really are wins or losses.
And finally, Our side has not been doing as much lawfare.
I think that we kicked it up at the end of 2020.
And we saw what happened.
Once the election is over, it's very difficult to get a judge to take it up and overturn an election, though that did happen recently in Georgia with a Democrat election.
And it was the right thing to do because there were so many issues with the election, but it's very difficult to make that happen.
So what I think is that our attorneys are learning how to do this.
They are engaging, they are filing suits.
We may not win every suit, but we will never win if we don't even try.
And the RNC right now is working on that.
That is one thing that Laura Trump and Michael Whatley have brought to the table.
And we've seen a lot more suits with them than we did previously.
We may not win all of them, but I know this, if we don't even try,
we never have the opportunity to win.
And I'm glad that we've got more suits happening.
I'd like to make sure that there, that.
That questions that courts need to settle are settled well before voting begins.
Once voting begins and once the elections are certified, it's so difficult to get a court to do anything.
Even if they should be doing things, it's very difficult to get them to act.
natalie winters
Jenny Beth Martin, one more time, if people want to engage with your call to action, where can they go to do that?
And what would your just quick 20 second kind of punchline be if they want to call Governor Kemp?
jenny beth martin
The website is marchtovictory.com.
Marchtovictory.com.
And if you're calling Governor Kemp right now, I would say, thanks for making sure that the people who are on the state election board stay on the state election board.
Let them keep working and doing the job that they're doing because they're going to make us have more faith in the outcome of the elections with the rules they are creating.
So, I would thank him right now.
Politics is always carrots and sticks, and when they do the right thing, you give a carrot, and when they don't, you use a metaphorical stick.
natalie winters
Indeed we do.
Jenny Beth Martin, if people want to follow you, where can they go to do that?
jenny beth martin
Jenny Beth M. Jenny Beth M. on all the social networks, and then follow Tea Party Patriots as well.
natalie winters
Thank you so much for joining us.
We'll have you back on soon.
unidentified
Thanks.
natalie winters
Warren Posse, it's also you guys gotta go to Public Square to check out businesses and companies that won't cancel you for daring to question the results of the 2020 election or just election integrity more broadly.
After the break, we're gonna get into how the mainstream media is covering for, you guessed it, the Venezuelan gangs that are overtaking apartment complexes here in the United States.
They say every town is a border town, every town is now apparently under the control of Venezuelan gangs and the cartel.
We'll be right back after this short break.
unidentified
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
natalie winters
Welcome back to the War Room, where apparently Democrats are so keen on auditing votes in their chain of custody.
Though I guess they don't extend those same privileges or lack thereof when it comes to anything related to Ukraine aid.
The Government Accountability Office putting out a report just two days ago saying that we actually have no meaningful ability to audit whether or not these Ukraine aid packages are actually making it to Ukraine.
So I guess naturally the Biden regime would then, the day after, quite literally 24 hours
later, issue a new $250 million aid package to Ukraine.
That's the graphic Ukraine put up.
No offense, but I'd humbly posit that with all the billions of dollars that you guys
have received from us, from our taxpayer dollars, maybe you guys should get a better graphic
designer.
I don't know, maybe a Canva Premium subscription.
I don't know, not quite.
$250 million.
Meanwhile, Lindsey Graham is busy touring around Italy, smiling with Zelensky the same
day that they get their package.
How does that picture make you feel?
Probably not too great, especially when, like we always do here in the war, we're drawing
juxtapositions between propping up the security defense forces in Ukraine, so much so that
we actually give money to the Ukraine State Border Guard.
Did you know that?
Meanwhile, our southern border is wide open, but you don't even have to go that far south to the border to actually see How criminal elements, in this case Venezuelan gangs, are actually taking over parts of the United States.
Now, the best—with weapons of war, not the kind of weapons of war that Tim Walz claims to have carried, but actual huge guns and really scary things that I think the so-called families that are living in that apartment complex probably don't want to see.
That's probably not what the American dream is.
To most people.
But the best part about this whole story is that the mainstream media actually has the nerve to try to cover for the Venezuelan gangs.
I know we're used to them running cover for illegal aliens, but in this case, that's the CBS story.
Some Aurora residents claim Venezuelan gang narrative in Denver metro area is false.
Well, some residents say otherwise.
I don't see those people being quoted.
And it's actually funny.
If you read the article and go through it, they tacitly admit that the police units in Aurora, Colorado, have actually had to launch a myriad of special investigations into criminal gang activity being carried out by Venezuelans in the city.
But the even better article, this one's really going to make you mad.
It's from Huffington Post.
Let's put that one up.
Colorado apartment residents fight anti-immigrant misinformation amid viral video of armed men.
Now, you know it wouldn't be a Huffington Post article if they didn't have the word misinformation in there and anti-immigrant, but now apparently if you oppose Venezuelan gangs taking over United States property, that now makes you anti-immigrant And a purveyor of misinformation.
We've seen that slippery slope before.
It never ends well.
But to that point, this isn't just happening.
This isn't just an isolated incident in Colorado.
I wish it were.
There was a city council meeting in Alabama that just happened yesterday, where residents, I'm sure in part scared because of what they saw going on in Colorado, went to their city council members asking about a recent influx of Haitian immigrants, undocumented, At that, they went in there asking if they had any idea who these people were.
Of course, coming from a third world country that is basically a failed state that's actually being run by criminal gangs now.
Maybe they're a little more in front about the deterioration of democracy and freedom there.
But they were actually shut down, so much so that they called the city council meeting to an abrupt close.
Of course, the people who were there were accused of being racist, because of course.
But let's watch this video of what happens in Joe Biden's America when you want to get answers about unvetted illegal aliens from criminal nations flooding this country, flooding your communities.
If you want to ask, hey, what the heck are these people doing here?
You're going to get shut down and called a racist.
Denver, let's roll that clip.
unidentified
And I wasn't going to come in on this, but I am now because I feel like I need to.
I want to welcome anybody to Silicon Valley that wants to come to Silicon Valley.
Anybody that's here that's paying lodging, buying gas, buying food, paying rent, utilities, whatever, we want to welcome them here.
Because if you're here spending money, whether you're working or even if you're not working, you have to be here spending money.
So on behalf of Tiffany, Council Member Nicks, I want to welcome you because if you're here simulating our economy, thank you.
That's how I feel about it.
And if people aren't breaking the law, they're not causing any problems, I don't see what the issue is.
And that's just how I feel.
I can only say how I feel.
I have to say the attitude of the council in reference to this is entirely unacceptable.
Do we know where the individuals we're discussing are coming from?
Where their point of origin is?
Because you're treating them like lawful U.S.
citizens which they are not. Okay so I'm going to cut it off because we have no reason again we have no reason to
launch an investigation or to treat people differently because of how they look.
There's no reason for that.
Who said that?
Well, that's just what I'm saying.
I just said that.
TB just said that.
Okay, I didn't say that.
But I said that there's no reason for us to discuss this any further.
These individuals came for pay.
natalie winters
are valid concerns that we need.
unidentified
How are valid concerns, Laura?
People come here all the time.
We visit Martin.
We visit every- Haiti is a failed state.
Their president was assassinated in 2021.
There is no way the State Department can vet these- We're done.
I'm gonna ask this- Please let him talk.
He- You have to shut up.
I was very specific.
Okay, I'm gonna ask all of you to leave because this meeting is over.
natalie winters
That's the legacy of mass migration.
legal and illegal.
I know you're not allowed to say the G phrase, the Great Replacement Theory, but it's true.
And when you pull the curtain back on just who is behind that, it's not a pretty picture.
whether it's the most far left radical elements of the Democratic Party and their dark money
funders, the same dark money donors who are funding those radical college protests, the
protests outside the DNC that are explicit in their efforts to burn America to the ground,
sometimes literally trying to do that.
That is who we're up against.
And of course, they got their establishment, Rhino Republican factions, joining them in
that crusade.
But that is the reality of the lived experience of American people when you see mass migration
coming all the way to Alabama, members of Haitian gangs probably.
But they say, oh, well, they're working.
They're sitting there on street corners in broad daylight, but they're working.
Yeah, I don't really think that's quite true either.
Although I guess even if you take them at their word, there's interesting numbers coming out from the Bureau of Labor just yesterday.
This is why, when I say the Great Replacement Theory, and I'm sure Media Matters will clip it and say it's a conspiracy theory.
Let's look on the screen, that graph right there.
Just new numbers from the Biden regime coming out in the month of August alone.
635,000 new jobs for foreign-born workers and a net loss, not gain loss, of 1.325 million jobs for native-born Americans in the month of August.
That right there, these people are going to take your job and if you dare to even question it or go to your own city council meeting where it's your tax dollars that are funding their salaries, funding that building, they're more inclined to protect the people who didn't even pay tax dollars to pay their salaries or prop up that meeting because they're not even American citizens.
Though we know the Biden regime is rushing, especially right before election day, to make sure that they all become citizens so they can vote.
Is the reality of the Great Replacement Theory, and I don't know about you guys, but I would take Making America Great Again over that lived experience of the Great Replacement Theory any day of the year, especially on November 5th.
And you know what?
For all those hundreds of millions, total billions of dollars that we've given to Ukraine that we can't even audit, which by the way, the Biden regime lies to our face, and their messaging narrative on that now is that actually Ukraine aid is actually great for the United States because it helps prop up industrial base. It helps with manufacturing jobs. Yeah,
that's about the same BS logic that illegal immigration is good for the
average American. Yet not quite, and we're not falling for it, not just because the
actual statistics, not misinformation, disprove that, but it's patently false.
These are the lies that we're up against. The nerve of these people.
I mean, you watch that video, I don't know how you can't be absolutely, just absolutely enraged.
I would say, all that money that we've given to Ukraine, why don't we start with a $250 million aid package?
I would literally rather give that to the landlord of that Colorado apartment to safeguard that apartment complex from Venezuelan gangs than I would give another penny, another cent to the oligarchic warlords who have done absolutely nothing With any of those funds, except probably by yachts, by their wife's new fricking cosmetic treatments over in Ukraine.
But that's the state of play.
And by the way, in the same breath, the Biden regime is going to put out a press release celebrating the fact that they secured the release of 135 political prisoners who dared to submit freedom of expression down in Nicaragua the same day that they're sentencing grandmas and the most hardcore patriots that exist in this country.
To basically life sentences in prison for daring to question the results of the 2020 election.
That's the regime we're up against.
And by the way, you think it's going to get better under Kamala Harris?
Not quite.
There's reporting out yesterday, there's an alleged refugee cap of 125,000.
That's laughable.
I'd say it's probably 125,000 every month.
But that Biden maintains that he will keep into the fiscal year 2025.
And already passed that number in 2024.
But the buried lead in this Reuters article, which we'll have Todd Benzman on to discuss now, is that they basically say that this signals that under Kamala Harris, they're probably going to even increase that cap and have it go even further.
Todd, I'd love to just kind of get your assessment of these just continued absolutely astronomical numbers that continue to come out of the Biden regime when it comes to legal, illegal, whatever spin you want of migrants pouring into this country.
todd bensman
Let me just address the refugee cap issue really quickly, because I, a few weeks back, I published a report about what's really behind that.
The Biden administration has another scheme underway, ramping up, started really ramping up this spring of this year, where they are refugee-izing economic migrants throughout Latin America.
And what I mean by refugee-izing, Is that they are applying refugee status on countries and people that they've never given refugee status to in decades.
We don't, we just don't give refugee status to Venezuelans, Cubans, Haitians, and Nicaraguans.
So what they're doing is it's a way to, when you give somebody refugee status down there, then you can fly them in at taxpayer expense.
They're legal permanent residents right away.
They've already done this with tens of thousands of Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Ecuadorians and Colombians and Guatemalans even.
And those ones are flown in at U.S.
taxpayer backed expense.
In the form of travel loans, whole families can board a commercial flight on a travel loan backed by U.S.
State Department funds.
There's no interest and there's no penalty for not paying it back.
So, you know, that's just kind of giveaway.
We're flying them in.
Okay, let's just say what it is.
And what the administration, the current administration, the finishing administration did was they raised the refugee cap to 125,000 in order to accommodate this vast hundreds of percentage points increase.
In granting refugee status in Latin America, we normally give refugee status to people that are like in war zones, in the Congo or in Syria.
That's who we reserve that for, not economic migrants.
We're doing that in a huge way and nobody can see it.
It's another invisible illegal immigration program, except that this one is actually legal.
natalie winters
Todd, if you can hang with us through the break, because I know you've got a new exclusive story about the Darien Gap that you want to break.
But Warren Posse, make sure you stay tuned for that.
But in the meantime, make sure you check out hometidalock.com and use promo code BAN.
And I feel like I could definitely make a good metaphor when it comes to every town being a border town or lack of border security, how you need to secure Your house, your home, everything that's so tied up in that against hackers and maybe even Venezuelan gangs or Haitian criminals, you name it.
But that's hometidalock.com promo code Bannon.
Like I said, Todd Bensman will stay with us through the break, a new report, how the Biden regime is actively obstructing efforts to secure the border, because of course.
unidentified
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bann.
natalie winters
Welcome back to The War Room, where we're still joined by Todd Benzema.
Todd, you're getting ready to drop a new story about the intricacies of the Darien Gap and how the Biden regime is interfering not to protect America's borders or sovereignty, because of course, but to basically make the country less safe and secure.
Can you walk the audience through the story you're getting ready to release?
unidentified
Sure.
todd bensman
Well, I just came back from two weeks down there, one week on the Colombian side of the Darien Gap, the entry points, and another week on the exit points in Panama.
And the reason I went down there is because the Panamanians have elected themselves a new president who promised to close the Darien Gap.
This is absolutely unprecedented, major policy U-turn with massive implications for our border.
In our national security interests.
I want to see how things were going down there.
The Panamanians wasted no time on July one, setting the table, getting things ready for mass air repatriation flights that they had a deal.
They cut a deal with on that on inauguration day with the Mayorkas DHS to pay for these repatriation flights.
I've been advocating this for years.
Nobody's ever paid any attention to me, of course.
Maybe they're still not, but they're doing it or they're, they're trying to do it.
Uh, and so, uh, you know, how's it going?
The short answer is that the, um, promised American support via the agreement, uh, is, uh, falling short.
It's like, kind of like, um, Hey, you owe me 50 bucks, but you only gave me 10.
Where's the rest?
And the new Panamanian president is out there holding press conference and making public statements saying, Hey, the Americans welched.
Now the Americans are telling us they won't let anybody get on a repatriation flight unless they volunteer to be on one.
So of course, that obviously nullifies any kind of deterrence.
All of the immigrants that I met on both sides were undeterred.
They're still coming.
There is a pause.
The numbers are lower, but not because of repatriation flights or anything like that.
Completely unrelated.
The bottom line is, you know, they're still coming through the gap and increasing numbers again.
They're climbing back and the Panamanians are starting to do a couple of flights here and there, but nobody cares if they send one or two flights full of criminal aliens.
Back to Columbia, because the people that you have to deter are not criminal aliens.
They're regular economic migrants, and that's the problem.
Americans seem to be welching.
I have a major report that is due out Monday morning at cis.org, my full findings from my trip down there.
natalie winters
Todd Bensman, if people want to follow you, get that report, stay up to date with everything you're working on, where can they go to do all that?
todd bensman
Yeah, I work for the Center for Immigration Studies, CIS.org.
You can find all of my reporting from Darion.

natalie winters
Todd Bensman, thank you for always going to these places that, well, frankly, I would want to go.
I don't know if I'd come back alive, but thank you for sticking your neck out for the War Room Posse to bring us this reporting.
Have a good one.
unidentified
Thank you.
natalie winters
Sure, you guys saw the mass deportations now signs smattered across the RNC, of course, MSNBC had a meltdown, but I'd actually go a step further, my humble suggestion, I don't think it's mass deportations now, I think it's mass deportations yesterday, and maybe we could put those signs on the windows of the buses that we're going to use for the mass deportations of all these illegal criminal aliens as they're leaving this country, and I think we should come for the dreamers, Two.
You can clip that, MSNBC, and you can shove it.
Just a fun fact, and we'll also add this to the things that MSNBC can shove it on.
I'm sure you guys have heard by now of the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax.
I was going to say 2.0, but it's more like 99.0, how they've re-upped that.
We're going to have Norbin Laden and Sam Faddis with us in the second hour of the show to kind of walk through all that, how NATO is actually involved too, but I just want to We've set an interesting kind of narrative precedent here.
There was a new report that came out just yesterday from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
Now, in that, there was a quote that said, to date, the IC has not observed any foreign actor seeking to interfere in the conduct of the 2024 elections.
Quite literally the same day, you have FBI Director Christopher Wray and Merrick Garland and the whole band of useful idiots saying that Russia is, you know, coming for democracy with a furor and a tenacity that we haven't seen since 2016.
Now, I think they either need to get their messaging right, but frankly to me, this to me bears all the hallmarks, which you guys know, this always has been an actual disinformation campaign.
Not the kind of disinformation campaign that they say Hunter Biden's hard drive was, but it's very interesting because while the I.C., while the Office of the Director of National Intelligence is saying that in a codified report, right 60 days out from the election, you have members of the intel community leaking, holding 75-minute secret press briefings with outlets like USA Today, Titled, with the articles ultimately coming out of those briefings, Russia ramping up election meddling efforts to help Trump beat Harris, intel officials say.
Quote, the briefing marks one of the first times, if not the first, that U.S.
intelligence officials have explicitly said Russian President Vladimir Putin was trying to get Trump elected in the current election cycle after allegedly backing him in 2016 and 2020.
Now my point being here, these narratives don't Square.
Now, not that I would ever take anything that the OGNI or that any I see anonymous source leaking, let alone to USA Today, would say is gold, but these sort of incongruence, right, between these narratives I think means that something is very up with how they're sort of beta testing and in some ways almost micro dosing these foreign election interference narratives on the American people, right?
They don't have their story straight.
They're going balls to the wall, saying that Russia is coming up, coming out, trying to influence the 2024 election.
In the same breath, in the same news cycle that very day, you have Putin, on record, not a deepfake, not AI, actually saying that if he backs anyone, it's Harris.
But our intellectual betters, the experts that we should totally trust on everything, including public health and the origins of COVID, well, they say that that was actually Putin making a joke.
Didn't know they had such inside channels with the Kremlin.
Maybe that's some foreign election interference that we should probe, but I always posit that we should start with Tim Walz if we're actually worried about foreign election interference, but I guess it doesn't matter if it's the Chinese Communist Party.
