| Court security says nobody can come Back in 2000 dollars, but you paid out less than 50,000, were you going to keep the rest of it for yourself? | ||
| Cohen, one week ago, says, that's what I ended up doing. | ||
| So he's acknowledging there, he did skim off the top of this, but the key difference here is how it was framed. | ||

Todd Blanch has put it in pretty black and white terms to the jury, saying, you stole from the Trump organization. | |
| Yeah, because what prosecutors failed to do is follow up with Michael Cohen and said, just how much did you keep for yourself? | ||
| He kept 60% of this for himself. | ||
| When you say he kept a little back, you think maybe a few grand. | ||
| He kept $30,000 for himself, and then, because prosecutors did not, again, even follow up with that and say, hey, could you see maybe how that could be perceived as stealing? | ||
| They allowed Todd Blanche to reveal this to the jury and get their star witness to concede that, yes, he stole from the Trump Organization on the stand. | ||
| Now what Blanche is doing to follow up with this is go through all of the different legal services that Cohen was providing to Trump in the year 2017, including the fact that in his email signature, it says that he is the attorney to President Donald J. Trump. | ||
| So this, again, undercutting the argument that even if Even Cohen says that his invoices for legal services were falsified, that he was in fact conducting legal services. | ||
| So the defendant, if he was paying him for the services, was not involved in a conspiracy to cover up hush money. | ||
| So Blanche, again, going through the actual criminal charges in this case. | ||
| But it's all a matter of frame. | ||
| Dealing in these sandwich bags of cash, these brown paper bags of cash, to pay people is already problematic. | ||
| But the idea that he would just grab a wad of cash and stick it in his pocket, I think has moved Michael Cohen from this figure where he's part Tom Hagen from The Godfather, but really more like Fredo Corleone, to now this guy who's just a thief. | ||
| And when I was in line this morning talking to some of the regular public who were waiting in line, Two people. | ||
| One who later told me that she hopes he's acquitted. | ||
| The other, he told me he hopes Donald Trump goes to jail. | ||
| Both of them said they hated Michael Cohen. | ||

| How did, I mean, as we're watching this and we don't do day in and day out what you all have done throughout your life, how do you say juries don't miss anything? | ||
| I think it's a brilliant insight. | ||
| How, though, for those of us who don't We haven't followed this our entire life, proceedings like this our entire life. | ||
| How does the jury sort through the fact that the guy has lied, that the guy admits on the stand that he stole money from the Trump organization? | ||
| How do they sort through that and lend any credibility to his testimony? | ||

Right, so Michael Cohen, liar, cheater, thief. | |
| The government has never run away from those facts, and they are facts, Joe. | ||
| And because the defense has also elicited those sorts of admissions, doesn't make it any more true or any less true. | ||
| He is what he is. | ||
| The jury has known that from opening statements. | ||
| The important thing here, and we do this all the time as prosecutors when we use cooperators. | ||
| By the way, why do we use them? | ||
| Because they're around when the crime was committed and they know stuff. | ||

| Mr. Cohn has been corroborated by lots of other witnesses and lots of other documents. | ||
| Is that sufficient to convict? | ||
| Yes, it's sufficient to convict. | ||
| Will the jury convict? | ||
| Who knows? | ||
| I mean, I can't tell you what would happen in my own cases, let alone what will happen in your case. | ||
| But I can tell you that by corroborating Mr. Cohn with other witnesses and important documents, the jury has everything they need to convict. | ||
| They know who he is. | ||
| That has never been hidden from the jury. | ||
| By the way, It would have been a huge mistake for the government not to adduce these things about Mr. Cohn. | ||
| It was their job to tell the jury everything. | ||
| They've done it. | ||
| The defense appropriately also cross-examined Mr. Cohn on these very same facts. | ||
| But the jury has what it needs. | ||
| The fact that he was ever charged with larceny is important because stealing $60,000 through fraud, which would be larceny in New York State, is more serious of a crime than falsifying business. | ||
| They gave him a free pass. | ||
| He committed larceny. | ||
| It's a higher degree of a felony than what Donald Trump is charged with. | ||
| Well, thank you very much. | ||
| Just to begin, sir, the news on inflation, it really is rampant. | ||
| It's moving at a level like people have not seen. | ||
| They don't seem to be able to cut it down. | ||
| Biden has no control over what's happening. | ||
| He started it with energy, now it's taking on a life of itself. | ||
| I was already saying, we'll get it fixed. | ||

| Every single legal expert, and I could say this again and again, and every time they come out, maybe at some point they'll come out and say, oh, we found something. | ||

| And hopefully, appellate division will take care of those things because, you know, they're egregious. | ||
| And the problem is that New York is really on trial itself. | ||
| The whole world is watching to see what's happening. | ||
| And you can't use conflicted judges. | ||

| Highly conflicted judge. | ||
| And you just can't do that. | ||
| You just cannot allow that to happen because you ruin the whole system. | ||

| And New York, look, I love New York. | ||

| And I see what's happening with this judicial system. | ||

| And I think the appellate courts can take care of a lot of things, but this one shouldn't even get to an appellate court. | ||
| This should be an easy ruling, and it should really be, and I think it would be great for Judge Marchand to rule from the bench and to terminate this witch hunt. | ||

| Every single scallop says there's been no crime, he's done nothing wrong. | ||

| You saw yesterday, if you want to see the Nazi judges, you saw with Costello. | ||
| When Costello, you know, their prosecutors are up every time he opens his mouth in front of the jury to try to shut him down, and the judge saying, sustain, sustain, sustain, then finally he throws the media out, then gets the jury out, etc. | ||
| Just another continued fiasco. | ||
| I mean, even the people that hate Trump the most, you saw Honig on CNN, the people that hate Trump the most, nobody, Can defend Cohen. | ||
| They've had years to put this case together, and this is what they're bringing up to shift the entire attention of the world onto this for the smear of President Trump, particularly for suburban women. | ||

| Now, in the next 30 days, you're going to have the ruling on the Fisher case, which is these added charges, which have half of these folks on J6 in prison. | ||

| And you're going to have Judge Cannon, who's now throwing down every day, she's going to have Jack Smith on trial, 27th, 28th, 29th, I think it is in Miami, with an evidentiary hearing. | ||
| So this is all building to a, the lawfare part's building to a climax. | ||
| And to show you how nervous they are, the fundraising for Biden just came out, it's falling through the floor. | ||
| Trump is now leading in the fundraising for the first month, I think, in a long time, when you combine everything. | ||

| If they know a witness or someone that they're putting up there is going to perjure himself, that's a crime by supporting that. | ||
