| And of course, later tonight at Radio City Music Hall, Obama, Clinton and Biden all come together with Stephen Colbert as the emcee in a laughing, celebrating, biggest fundraiser in the history of this country, $25 million. | ||

| What happened today? | ||
| It looks very solemn there, sir. | ||
| Could you think of a worse time for this to happen? | ||
| Holy Thursday, Good Friday, the Easter holiday here. | ||
| We're on the South Shore of Long Island. | ||

| Thousands of people commute to the city from here. | ||
| The cops, the firefighters, the emergency service workers, first responders. | ||
| And they come into an embattled New York City every day and they put their lives on the line. | ||
| and thousands of people have come out today for the 2-4 ceremony, the 7-9 tonight. | ||
| There'll be a lot of people here. | ||
| Line was wrapped around the building with New York City, Nassau County, Suffolk County police officers. | ||
| And you know, the cops are hamstrung. | ||
| In New York City, they can't do their jobs. | ||
| They're retiring at record rates, 200 a month, almost 3,000 last year. | ||
| They've only replaced 2,000 of them, Steve. | ||
| And we're down to about 29,000 active police force members in New York City right now. | ||
| And now, you know, while they're yucking it up, drinking champagne tonight in Radio City, you've got women reporting more assaults on the subway. | ||
| You've got violent attacks over the last week across New York City. | ||
| So we even know shootings and homicide are down a little bit. | ||
| Crime is still rampant. | ||
| Felony assaults had a 20-year high last year. | ||
| 28,000 New Yorkers assaulted in the street. | ||
| And Trump said something's got to change. | ||
| Let me go back to this. | ||
| Particularly for our global audience, David, walk through the events, exactly what happened, what led us to this day with this police officer and his family. | ||
| Well, it was a routine traffic stop in Rockaway Park in New York City in Queens. | ||
| Now, Queens has been embroiled in crime. | ||
| Parts of Queens had 40% increases in grand theft auto last year. | ||
| There's shootings. | ||
| And in Rockaway Park, the cops had a routine traffic stop. | ||
| The car was parked out. | ||
| I think they were casing a T-Mobile store. | ||
| These two career criminals with over 31 arrests between the two of them. | ||
| One who's already served 10 years in jail. | ||
| Violent felons. | ||
| Um, the cops approached the car. | ||
| They wouldn't cooperate and get out of the car and the passenger shot, um, shot, um, you know, uh, officer Diller, uh, in cold blood right in the stomach. | ||
| He dies. | ||
| You know, he falls in the street. | ||
| There's video of him moaning in the street, rushed to the hospital, declared dead. | ||
| Um, and, uh, you know, This is a terrible situation and it's symbolic. | ||
| It's symbolic because in Chicago we have four times the murder rate, in New York five times the grand theft, in D.C. | ||
| what do you got, ten times the rate for carjackings and grand theft auto and violent crimes in New York. | ||
| So this is, you know, the standard going forward. | ||

| New York City Council members were not invited to this funeral. | ||
| They were told by the Benevolent Association for the Sergeants not to come here, like Jumaane Williams, who wanted to defund the police during the George Floyd riots. | ||
| And then in January, they tried to bog down the police with paperwork to give detailed accounts of every arrest. | ||
| And thank God Mayor Adams did one good thing. | ||
| He vetoed that legislation. | ||
| It's all about destroying the cops and taking them, you know, disdain for the police in New York City. | ||
| And now we have random crime in other places. | ||
| And, you know, in the Bronx, transit crime in the Bronx County of New York in one of the five boroughs was up like 85 percent year over year in parts of the Bronx. | ||
| It's got to change. | ||

| Every night you listen to Chris Hayes and you listen to Rachel Maddow and that crowd, Joy Ann Reid. | ||

| And he's laid out, you know, his plans for those three weeks, which include indictments, I mean, it's very, it's chilling and it's tempting to listen to these people and think, you know, well, they're crackpots. | ||

| But if you don't have the fundamental right to direct the upbringing of your children, and I know you always remind me to talk about what that is, that's the right that you have that the government doesn't give you and can't take away to direct the upbringing of your child, their education, their religion, their morality, If we don't have that in America, we don't have anything. | ||

| So I found the cease and desist amusing, but the truth is you better stay away from my kids and trying to give them free mom hugs if you're not me, right? | ||

| This is all about election integrity, restoring confidence in our election systems. | ||
| I'm running against Morgan Meyer. | ||
| He is the chair of the House Ways and Means Committee. | ||
| He was also the house manager on impeachment against Ken Paxton, the greatest attorney general in the country. | ||
| And he also is on the Legislative Audit Committee, which is refusing to release how much this actually cost the Texas taxpayers. | ||
| He's the only he's the one with that distinction, the only one with that distinction to be serving on both of those committees. | ||
| Let's see. | ||
| What happened? | ||
| This is what happened. | ||
| We used electronic voting systems. | ||
| It turns out the Republican judge at Central Count quit because the Central Count accumulator by ES&S was not hash validated, hadn't been validated or certified since 2019. | ||
| And so I ask you, if you have a cell phone, when was the last time you updated that? | ||
| This is 2019. | ||
| This is our election systems. | ||
| We need to make sure they're secure. | ||
| That same night, after I was actually on your show, We had an election watch party and there was actually no results coming in. | ||
| We're wondering how come we're seeing results coming in all over the state, all over the area, but Dallas County was, there was nothing. | ||
| It just was stuck. | ||
| Eventually they started updating their website with some PDFs of summary results, but the news outlets were not reporting it. | ||
| These are some irregularities obviously that would cause concern. | ||
| Finally, Fox 4 News locally reported that Dallas County was having problems counting the votes and that they'll have more information the next day. | ||
| All throughout from the first day of election, early voting, through election day, it even happened to me, there was a lot of this vote flipping, whether it was due to recalibration needing to be done on the express vote machines or whatever. | ||
| I took my kids in, I pushed my name and it went to my opponent's name and they caught it. | ||
| And of course, I had to push it again. | ||
| I wonder how many people messed up there. | ||
| This whole recount is now statutorily put in the hands of the Dallas County Republican Party chair. | ||
| And she had lost on this ballot, 70% to 30% to Colonel Allen West, who we all know and love, and he will be resuming, he will be taking over in June. | ||
| In the meantime, she's the supervisor of the recount, and she is also, it just turned out today, that she had received a contribution of $5,000 from my opponent. | ||
| So my question to you, and it's being asked all over the internet and everything is, Does that sound, does that, I don't know, does that sound fishy to you? | ||
| It sounds very fishy. | ||
