The chaos under the Capitol affects the efficiency and effectiveness of governing in a democratic republic.
So we all lose when the Tantrum Caucus dominates.
And let's just take a snapshot of what's happening right now.
No, the Speaker's trying to placate the far right by moving forward with an impeachment inquiry, absent facts that traditionally run to that standard.
The government's looking at a shutdown at the end of the month.
One senator's holding up all military promotions.
There's a defense bill authorization problem.
I mean, over and over again, these are all self-inflicted.
And they're disproportionately because of the far right of the Republican Party.
And the government shutdown is looming.
The Republican has everything to lose.
McCarthy, unlike Gates, does have a lot to lose as well, if we talk about the individuals.
Like Joyce pointed out, he started off this very bad week, as my colleagues at Political Playbook in the Capitol in D.C.
said, like skidding the CR grid, the CR skids, with the impeachment lubricant.
And here he is.
What does he have next to do?
What does he have left as a lubricant?
Does he have anything?
Well, the far right is, you know, blocking these procedural motions on, I was saying, you know, this government shutdown that's sort of looming.
So I think when we're talking about what the Republicans and a country at large has to lose, it's, you know, are they going to avert a government shutdown and, you know, get to work and keep the lights on in Washington?

This is the indictment of the President's son.

And you had major players in the Democratic Party, Jamie Raskin and others, Eric Swalwell, all of them respecting the law.
There was no screeching and crying about the weaponization of the judicial system.
There was, this is sad.
We have to follow the law.

If someone does something wrong, they have to be brought to account.

Donald Trump is at it again.
In between threats to arrest his political enemies, rants against the globalist dummies of the Wall Street Journal, and jokes about Ron DeSanctimonious, the four-time indicted ex-president is targeting a new foe, the 14th Amendment to the Constitution.
Quote, it is just another trick being used by the radical left communists, Marxists and fascists, to again steal an election that their candidate, the worst, most incompetent and most corrupt president in US history, is incapable of winning.
He posted on social media last week, without any hint of irony.
You've heard of old men yelling at clouds, but old men yelling at the constitution?
For once, it's not just the ramblings of a perpetually paranoid malcontent.
There really is an effort underway to remove Donald Trump from the presidential ballot.
In fact, from any future political ballot.
And it's grounded in the Constitution, specifically the 14th Amendment, the one passed in 1866 after the Civil War to grant citizenship to freed slaves.
But it did a whole lot more than that.
It also banned Confederates from holding office.
Section three of that amendment reads, quote, no person shall be a senator or representative in Congress or elector of president and vice president or hold any office civil or military under the United States or under any state who having previously taken an oath to support the Constitution of the United States shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.
Yes, finally, opponents of the former president and defenders of democracy have recognized there is a possible constitutional tool at their disposal that disqualifies people who have engaged in insurrection from holding office.
Given Donald Trump incited an insurrection in front of all of our eyes on January the 6th, 2021, here goes the argument.
He is now disqualified from office.
Hmm.
Has anybody ever suggested anything like this before?
So if you're concerned about democracy and Donald Trump, yes, there's the DOJ's investigation, and the FBI search, and the 1-6 committee.
But don't forget about Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.
A very wise man, speaking to you a year and a day ago.
But I'm just a lefty non-lawyer.
Why would you listen to me?
Thing is, you don't have to.
You could listen to law professors William Bode and Michael Stokes Paulson, two conservative scholars affiliated with the right-wing Federalist Society.
who published a 126-page paper on Section 3 in the University of Pennsylvania Law Review last month.
They say it disqualifies former President Donald Trump and potentially many others because of their participation in the attempted overthrow of the 2020 presidential election.
And, crucially, they add, based on their research and investigation, quote, Section 3 is self-executing, operating as an immediate disqualification from office without the need for additional action by Congress.
We have some recent polling.
I don't know if you saw it, but let me share one thing that really stood out to me, and that is this.
61% of Americans say they believe that while he was Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden was involved in his son's business dealings in Ukraine and China.
Can you categorically say that the President of the United States was not involved in those business dealings and did not profit from any of them?
What I can say categorically is that the president has spoken to this issue and his spokespeople have, and they're the best people to do that.
From our side of the equation, I can tell you that Hunter did not share his business with his dad.
I can tell you that he did not share money from his businesses with his dad.
And as the evidence out there, his dad, like all good parents, tried to help Hunter when Hunter needed that help.
And if the facts matter, you can take a poll last week.
You can take a poll next week, but when the facts come out, and I hope they do, they will see, whoever has made that allegation, that it is baseless.
But it does show you, if the Republicans yell loud enough, at some point it actually cracks through and people believe it.

Friday, 15 September, in the year of our Lord, 2023, an absolute firestorm.
A political firestorm on every different front.
Basically in who is going to be in charge of this American Republic.
Is it going to be a populist movement led by the people?
With Donald Trump as its head?
Or is it going to be the uniparty globalist?
And it is all bets off right now.
A absolute mad scramble on every front.
And you can see, I wanted to put that long piece in there by MSNBC, because they understand right now, we're winning in every different aspect of this.
And they're starting to hit the panic button.
The first panic button is they're going to throw Biden over to the side.
The David Ignatius letter or the piece in the Washington Post the other day.
Ignatius is essentially the mouthpiece for the national security state, for the deep state, the administrative state, whatever you want to call it.
He's saying Biden should just not run again in 24.
The national security state is not going to give Biden a lot of cover.
You saw Abby Lowell up there, he will not even answer the question.
Remember, 61% of the American people see this now, and all you hear on cable TV and broadcast news in the New York Times, no evidence, no evidence, no evidence, no evidence, no evidence, their mantra.
Safe and effective, safe and effective, safe and effective, build back better, build back better, build back better.
They understand psychological warfare, and they absolutely understand narrative building, and it's not working.
They understand 61% of the American people understand right now, even with the limited evidence that we've been able to get through their defensive wall, that obviously Biden is not just simply corrupt, but this is a bribery and treason.
That he took money from the Chinese Communist Party at the highest level.
He had direct actions like shutting down, one of his first actions was shutting down the de minimis DOJ, FBI effort to roll up the Chinese intelligence assets at a mid-level here in the country.
Shut that down immediately.
And there's many, many, many more.
Because remember when he was vice president, he was in charge of the pivot to Asia.
In fact, when President Trump, President-elect Trump Two days after we won, when he went to Washington D.C., he came back that night.
And we talked, he came back, and we were up in his office on the 26th floor.
And he said how they had briefed him, and the number one problem, the number one issue, the issue that was going to consume his presidency, because it consumed Obama's, was Korea.
It's in North Korea.
They're a complete puppet state of the Chinese Communist Party.
It's the Chinese Communist Party of which they never mentioned and didn't want to talk about.
Of course Biden's guilty of taking bribes and his family of taking bribes and of taking and giving material comfort aid and comfort to the enemy.
That will all come out and those numbers are going to explode.
It's 61% today.

Because every day we slip into the grasp of debt slavery.
We're slipping into the grass that you have very little room to maneuver.
Your range of actions, your range of alternatives is restricted.
One of the reasons I mock and ridicule the Grover Norquist and the Steve Moore in this fantasy of going up to talk to President Trump about a tax cuts for corporation to 14-15 percent.
Not just I disagree with it at the heart of it.
That's a different topic.
You just don't have that option right now.
Think about it.
In all the things you've seen bouncing around here, in all the TV hits and all the Fox hits, has anybody sat there and treated you like an adult and said, look, we have a structural problem now of every year, every 12 months, $2 trillion structural deficit that we can't fully finance by selling bonds, by selling to the Chinese or selling to the Japanese insurance companies.
We're going to have to just print money.
Okay, we're going to have to print money, debase our currency, kill your purchasing power, interest rates are going to rise.
Has anybody had any solution to this?
It's all about, oh my gosh, the government and how these institutions work and, you know, we have to get, you know, the government has to be funded.
The government does not have to be funded if it can't be financed.
That's the discussion.
That is the heroism of those men and women that are standing up to this.

They're trying to put a deal together between the mainstream, all these other caucuses, which are moderates, with the House Freedom Caucus, plus Gates and some of these other people, maybe not in the Freedom Caucus, but are the hardcore.
And the presentation is some sort of CR that's got, you know, the messaging bill, the Homeland Security, and it's got all this other stuff attached.
You've got to get the defense thing up there.
It's a lot of optics, but even they admit there's going to be a shutdown of a couple of weeks.
And here's the reason.
It's time to press them to the wall.
And force them to come with the answer.
Tell me, how do we get out of this?
This is just not tactical with, oh my God, the government's gotta be, you know, the government's gotta be funded, we gotta do it, and it's gotta go into October and then, you know, November.
Tell me, you give them a 30-day CR, that's what, you give them a 30-day CR, what then?
What happens?
Some massive omnibus bill?
Or all these appropriations bills that don't do any cuts?
Answer the question!
Answer the question about the two trillion dollar deficit that we said on this show that the very day they cut the deal was going to be it, and they lied about it.

It's been a crazy couple of days here in Texas.
This trial has ended up being quite a spectacle.
You've seen the establishment, the RINOs, the globalists coming together with the fake news media, trying to take out our hero, Ken Paxton, who's stood in the gap for us on a number of different issues.
And they got a horrible case, Steve.
We've literally watched it fall apart.
For weeks leading up to this, they were saying, Wait till you see the evidence!

Well, here's what we found out.
When you put these so-called witnesses on the stand and they get cross-examined, it's all falling apart.
We've heard unbelievable statements like them admitting there is no evidence, that I didn't see a crime, I just heard it.
We had some people who were star witnesses for the RINOs literally come out and say, well, that's what I read in the Texas Tribune, which is a leftist publication.
But very weak case.
The grassroots have been snuffing this out.
Of course, yourself and some of the other patriots have been sounding the alarm of the implications if Paxton goes down.
And they've risen up on social media, on the Twitter, on Rumble.
All the comments.
People realize this is a sham political impeachment.
And we're coming down here to the end in the next couple of days.
Where we stand in Texas right now is Dan Patrick, the lieutenant governor presiding over the sham impeachment has said these guys aren't going home until they reach a verdict.
So either today or tomorrow, the senators, the cases have been rested.
The final pleas are being made literally right now.
And so people across this nation need to take advantage of the next couple of hours.

I was surprised at how hard Dan Patrick came out and said they're not leaving.
