| This is according to a source of mine with knowledge of the proceedings. | ||
| I'm told that as of 20 minutes ago, they're currently on witness number 5 of 10. | ||
| So that certainly gives us a lot more insight into how this is moving, how quickly this is moving. | ||
| Again, as of about 20 minutes ago or so, they were currently on witness number 5 of 10 witnesses that they plan to call. | ||
| So that tells us they're about halfway through these proceedings, but again, clearly moving more quickly than they expected it to move. | ||
| But yes, could see something come down today, and that certainly moves up the time frame a little bit as well. | ||
| It's 3 p.m. there. | ||
| When did this grand jury start meeting today? | ||
| They typically start at 8.30. | ||
| We don't know exactly what time they started, but typically it's 8.30 this morning. | ||
| So the question then, though, Katie, becomes who are these witnesses? | ||
| We know that she kind of, at least as far as the summons and subpoenas went out, she kind of front-loaded it with some of the more important witnesses, right? | ||
| So we're talking about the two state lawmakers. | ||
| We're talking about if Gabriel Sterling was in fact a witness. | ||
| We saw him down here. | ||
| Those are people that probably had heftier testimonies, possibly had more to say. | ||
| Do they go past 5 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 7 o'clock? | ||
| George Chidi, Jeff Duncan, people that we've referred to today as kind of the cleanup hitters in this. | ||
| So the question then is, who are the remaining people that she's calling to testify? | ||
| How long will that testimony be? | ||
| And I think that those kind of unanswered questions could help us have some more insight into how long, how much longer this could possibly take. | ||
| Do they go past five o'clock, six o'clock, seven o'clock? | ||
| Can they extend the hours? | ||
| So the courthouse closes at five o'clock. | ||
| But what's interesting about Georgia law, you talked about this, an indictment has to be unsealed immediately, right? | ||
| So that means that a judge has to still be present on the bench. | ||
| The indictment has to be brought into a courtroom while there is an open proceeding, while there is a proceeding going on, rather, a judge on the bench. | ||
| Court cannot close. | ||
| So if we get to six o'clock, if we get to seven o'clock and the courthouse doors are still open, again, that's us reading the tea leaves. | ||
| But that's a pretty good indication that they may be trying to keep the court open for some special reason. | ||

| A proposed indictment should only be in the hands of the district attorney's office, yet it somehow made its way to the clerk's office and was assigned a case number and a judge before the grand jury even deliberated. | ||
| This is emblematic of the pervasive and glaring constitutional violations which have plagued this case from its very inception, unquote. | ||

| This is very, very sloppy work by Fulton County DA Fannie Willis, But it's unsurprising because she is a partisan activist and she's a complete and utter buffoon. | ||
| And this is part of the Democrats' lawfare against President Trump. | ||

| It's the pattern that we've been talking about for more than a year, Steve. | ||
| Going back to Alvin Bragg's indictment of Trump for the non-crime of a businessman settling a nuisance claim to Jack Smith's two indictments of Trump for non-crimes related to a former president having his presidential records and the non-crime of a presidential candidate objecting to a presidential election. | ||
| Fannie Willis is now piling on with this indictment. | ||
| You've had New York Attorney General Tish James bringing a civil fraud lawsuit against Trump for the non-fraud of a businessman paying back sophisticated banks with interest in This is lawfare. | ||

| And the fact that they put this indictment on the website before the grand jury even deliberated and approved it shows that the wheels have fallen off the clown car. | ||

| People It just, look, he had these massive wildfires in the West. | ||
| Massive, with these ancient forests, and you've had them all over the country. | ||
| People are shocked. | ||
| When you look at what's happened here, it's different when you see what's happened in the rest of the country, these wildfires. | ||
| This looks like Dresden, or it looks like Tokyo. | ||
| When we did the low-level firebombing there to try to end World War II before the nuclear weapon had been tested or created back in the spring of 1945, that's what it looks like. | ||
| It looks like a bomb went off. | ||
| It just doesn't look like a natural fire. | ||
| Those things were napalm at treetop level that created kind of a tornadic activity in the wind and it whipped through Tokyo. | ||

| Because it just doesn't seem like it's a wildfire, sir. | ||
| Well, I'll tell you what I heard from a lot of eyewitnesses. | ||
| There were, in fact, 90 mile an hour winds that day. | ||
| They canceled school in the morning, which will turn out to be a problem later. | ||
| There was a brush fire up by the bypass, which is the new road they built several years ago to help alleviate traffic. | ||
| Like a highway, and they shut down the bypass and sent out messages that the fire had been contained. | ||
| So no one, everyone thought everything was fine in the town of Lahaina, which is mostly known as Front Street, Lahaina. | ||
| And people were going about their business then. | ||
| Unfortunately, the winds blew down some transformers is what I'm hearing. | ||
| I have a friend who actually saw one fall as he was leaving, and it may have started some fires. | ||
| There's reports a gas station may have Been the victim of that and exploded and it spread pretty quickly. | ||
| Front Street is old wooden structures and there was no warning system. | ||
| We have sirens here on Maui. | ||
| There were not a lot. | ||
| They were not set off. | ||
| There was no phone warning on the smartphones and eyewitnesses tell me that they didn't know there was a fire till they smelled smoke open the front door and it was on their doorstep. | ||
| And apparently there's reports that the fire once it got really going It was moving 100 yards every five seconds. | ||
| There was a sheet wall of heat, and it was a tinderbox. | ||
| Now, as to what caused the fire, people are speculating down power lines as of now, and there was no water pressure, so no fire truck was able to start spraying. | ||
| And that's what I've heard about the Lahaina fires. | ||
| As to the boats in the harbor, I have no explanation as to how those got caught on fire. | ||
| That remains a mystery. | ||
| There were other fires on the island of Maui. | ||
| There was some up country called Kula, and those were caused by downed power lines. | ||
| Eyewitnesses tell me that's true. | ||
| We lost about 29 homes up there. | ||
| And there was a fire in Maui later on that day in Kihei, where I live, that I think was arson. | ||
| We've had an arson problem on this island for years. | ||
| We've had dry tinder when the sugarcane factory shut down. | ||
| And it's slowly, the land is being re-agricultured, but there's a lot of dry tinder, and we have an arson problem. | ||
| So I think that was, my best guess, that was an arson tag on fire. | ||
| My neighborhood was evacuated that night, but the fire never got close. | ||
| Hang on for a second. | ||
| What do you mean Maui has an arson problem? | ||
| I know there was three suspects, I think it was in the spring of 22, if I remember correctly, were rounded up for arson. | ||
| But what do you mean an arson problem? | ||
| Well, Mayor Victorino, the former mayor, is quoted as saying, we have an arson problem and we're going to find them. | ||
| There's been fires going off for years now. | ||
| One of the big valley fires, I know for a fact, was started by a burning car in the middle of the sugar cane fields and it spread like wildfire. | ||
| It was set on fire. | ||
| It was arson, definitely. | ||
| This has been blamed in the press on climate change. | ||
| Did climate change bring about the change in the sugarcane? | ||
| I take it sugarcane has not grown as much and a lot of the dry cane that has been cut has just been left. | ||
| What's the issue here? | ||
| Yeah, there's a lot of dry grass and dry acreage that hasn't been properly re-agged A private equity firm bought the valley from the sugarcane factory, and it just hasn't been tended to. | ||
| There's a lot of, we've had a very wet winter, which grew a lot of the brush. | ||
| And then we've had a very dry summer. | ||
| El Nino, which no one talks about is, this is the third warmest ocean levels we've had since 79. | ||
| So El Nino is definitely, could be blamed on this, but not climate change in my estimation. | ||
| This is poor land management, epic local government failure, and emergency services that weren't properly executed. | ||

| There's tons of rumors. | ||

| One of the things I think they're making a huge mistake, it's quite odd. | ||
| They've literally done a lockdown on everything here, so you can't get any information, so obviously people are asking a million questions. | ||
| One of these is about May the residents that lost their homes or have been there for a long time, there's a lot of money coming into the area that wants to buy that. | ||
| But when you say private equity bought the valley and really has intended to it, what do you mean private equity bought the valley? | ||

| I don't remember the name of the firm, but apparently a Canadian private equity firm bought a lot of the ag land and has been selling it off piecemeal to other people. | ||
| And you know, when the sugar cane was shut down, there was just a lot of Dry tinder out there. | ||
| And four years ago, there was a fire set by that car fire I told you. | ||
| It burned the valley to the point where it blackened out the sun. | ||
| So there's been poor land mismanagement for years here. | ||
| And we've had, again, the mayor is quoted as saying, former mayor, we have an arson problem. | ||

| So the local supports that were going in and taking supplies are being kind of carteled at this time and not really allowed to go in as easily as they were before. | ||
| So over a hundred cars were in line when I drove by to see the line to get the placard. | ||
| So it's a long process to get your placard and to qualify. | ||
| So that's what's happening on the ground. | ||
| And the latest discovery was a young family of four discovered in their car. | ||
| They were trying to exit and they perished in their car. | ||

| In this 6 o'clock hour we're going to talk, we've got, Harnwell's going to come with a new poll out from two institutions, published by the American Conservative Magazine, a premier magazine in Europe, about two institutions in Ukraine that have done a poll. | ||
| 75% of the Ukrainian people believe that Zelensky is primarily responsible for the corruption in that country. | ||
| Now, why do I mention that now we're talking about Maui? | ||
| Because, as you know, I've been like a dog with a bone for a year and a half in this Ukraine situation, even before that, but really since this war started. | ||

| It's just very strange that the Feds have come in and they've brushed everybody aside and they've locked this thing down hard. | ||

| The official body count is 96, unfortunately, but I'm hearing from first responders it's going to be 500 to 1,000, many of which are children. | ||
| And so there's been speculation that The local government authorities were very worried about riots, and that's why they initially locked down. | ||
| Eventually, we were able to get supplies through. | ||
| I was part of an effort on Saturday to get a truckload of generators, food, diapers, baby wipes, formula in. | ||
| But as Sheila just said, it sounds like they're locking it down because FEMA did come, I think, as we were getting our last shipment in. | ||
| I think FEMA came this weekend. | ||
| About 416 of them are on site now, and the military's here. | ||
| There's going to be a huge effort to uncover all the bodies. | ||
| I don't think they want people to know the extent of the damage, and they'll probably drop the names of the bodies well after the news cycle. | ||
| Sheila, Is this an information lockdown? | ||
| Is that what we have? | ||
| Is it for the safety and security and a quicker response for the folks, for the good citizens in Maui? | ||

| And those rescue workers that were flown in here, the over 400 of them, they're being put up in a hotel, not in tents, while the homeless families now displaced from their homes are living in tents. | ||

| And the locals are becoming more and more skeptical as well, especially, um, they're, they're fearing that FEMA is going to be offering payouts and that this is some sort of land grab. | ||
| So they're all chatting about this amongst themselves and they're all fearful that they're going to lose their, uh, their property along with their home and their investment. | ||
| So that's, uh, and you can hear it in the governor's voice when, or his languaging, when he talks about, It's true, but I don't know why. | ||
| He definitely doesn't mention bringing the families back that were displaced. | ||
| He just talks about rebuilding it as if it's going to be Disneyland or something. | ||
| What, when the mayor or the former mayor says we have an arson problem, is that true? | ||

| And if you have, why has that not been taken care of? | ||
