| Give us an update on what's going to go on. | ||
| This is a very big day for Catholics, and particularly traditional and devout Catholics, about the consecration of Ukraine and Russia. | ||
| I just want to play, because I want everybody to understand the dangerous territory we're in. | ||
| We're actually talking about a border dispute on the eastern side of Ukraine, all the way in Eurasia, right? | ||
| You're now talking about, and I'm not saying it's not bloody, it's obviously horrific, everybody can see that, but it is a border dispute, and a dispute about this eastern border and about Crimea and these things that are tens of thousands of miles away from us. | ||
| They're now talking about, in rational senses, they're talking about tactical nuclear weapons, but what they're really hammering non-stop, and this is a tell, chemical weapons. | ||
| And look, I was in the White House and I fought that cruise missile, and everybody knows it's for Republic, I fought the cruise missile strike into Syria on the chemical weapons, because it didn't, and I'm, I got pretty good due diligence sense, it didn't, it didn't, it didn't sound like they had the, they had the receipts, and it turns out they didn't have the receipts. | ||
| You gotta be very careful when you're talking about this and drawing red lines and all this. | ||
| And I'm not saying there's false flags. | ||
| We don't believe in conspiracy theories here. | ||
| But when you're talking about situations, all of a sudden people are talking about... | ||
| Nuclear weapons? | ||
| There are nuclear weapons, I might assure you. | ||
| They are weapons that you've got to be so careful about. | ||
| Tactical nuclear weapons. | ||
| Because once they're using it, first off, the tonnage itself is brutal, right? | ||
| But they can also lead to massive escalation. | ||
| Remember, this show is about de-escalating, de-conflicting, de-escalating, getting people to the table, and let's try to work out a deal here. | ||
| But you hear this loose talk, and it's very loose talk, and it's dangerous talk. | ||
| Because I'm telling you, the Law of Unintended Consequences is what the Fog of War is about. | ||
| And now you have this talk, this loose talk about chemical weapons. | ||

| The Commander-in-Chief of the American Armed Forces yesterday in NATO, I want you to just hear it with your own ears. | ||

| Have you gathered specific intelligence that suggests that President Putin is deploying these weapons, moving them to position, or considering their use? | ||

| You know, on the first question, I can't answer that. | ||
| I'm not going to give you intelligence data, number one. | ||
| Number two, we would respond. | ||
| We would respond if he uses it. | ||
| The nature of the response would depend on the nature of the use. | ||

| This is the danger of what this border dispute now brought on. | ||

| However, you've got in their constitution now, because the EU and NATO have forced this and put it into the Ukrainian constitution, and then they left the Ukrainian people to their fate. | ||
| They're getting shelled every day. | ||
| They're crying out for no-fly zones. | ||
| They're crying out for more military equipment. | ||
| They're crying for everything. | ||
| People are talking about sending things to them, but essentially they've been left to their own fate. | ||
| They've been left to their own fate to take the onslaught of the Russian military, while the guys in NATO have big-time cocktail parties. | ||
| Now we finally had it leaked yesterday. | ||
| Finally, yesterday that the Biden administration is working with Ukraine to get to a deal to get this thing settled and get it sort it and get it settled. | ||
| Of course, General Keane, who I think is great, he's on Fox. | ||
| All Fox is doing, no, we got to send tanks in. | ||
| You can't do that. | ||
| You got to escalate. | ||
| You have to escalate. | ||
| Well, look, in the escalation they're talking about now, ladies and gentlemen, they're talking about. | ||
| Uh chemical weapons and nuclear weapons this this kind of talks net was never thrown around at the height of the cold war high of the cold war Were about ballistic missiles and are we 30 seconds from launching each other and as dangerous as that was? | ||
| It wasn't the entry-level drug that tactical nuclear weapons are because that will lead to ballistic missiles That will lead to major cities getting taken out. | ||
| You can't contain that They have guys on MSNBC and CNN all the time that run these war games It gets out of control very quickly. | ||
| If you've been in these war games, it gets out of control very quickly. | ||
| You get chemical and potentially biological weapons. | ||
| We know the Chinese Communist Party has them. | ||
| They had them in Wuhan. | ||
| What are we talking about here? | ||

People have got to start to act like adults. | |
| It's very dangerous. | ||
| Ben, this brings us to the consecration of Russia and in the Ukraine by the Pope today. | ||
| Why is this so important for traditional Catholics? | ||
| Well, it's not just for traditional Catholics, Steve. | ||
| It's for all Catholics. | ||
| Our Lady of Fatima first appeared in 1917, asking a few requests of the three shepherd children. | ||
| I think all three of them have now subsequently been canonised. | ||
| And then in 1929, Our Lady appeared again to the principal seer, Swart, who's by this time a religious nun. | ||
| Sister Lucia, with a very specific request. | ||
| I'm just going to read it because it's just a couple of words and this is what Our Lady of Fatima says, God asks the Holy Father to make and to order that in union with him and at the same time all the bishops of the world to make the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart. | ||
| And seeing as you signaled traditionalist Catholics, it's only fair to say that it's really traditionalist Catholics who have been most persistent in the years. | ||
| The various attempts at making the consecration which have been made have been invalid for one reason or another. | ||
| So therefore, when the Vatican announced this time round, about 10 days ago, two weeks ago, that Pope Francis was going to make the consecration, all eyes were on him to see exactly what the text of this consecration was going to be. | ||
| Was he going to do it properly or was he not? | ||
| Because frankly at this point, when there's a war going on between Russia and Ukraine, to barge right down there in the middle on such a diplomatically delicate issue and get it wrong would create obviously far more secular damage than it will create spiritual Good. | ||
| So the first thing to observe, right, is that basically every Catholic knows Our Lady asked for the consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Now it is strange, therefore, that Pope Francis wades in and says, you know what, I'm going to do it to Russia and Ukraine, as if, perhaps, they were spiritually, or geographically, or politically, or diplomatically, or ontologically the same thing. | ||
| Because that's exactly what one side in this war actually maintains. | ||
| This is the Putin position, isn't it? | ||
| That basically Russia and Ukraine are one, the division was artificial, sponsored by the communists in the early days, and historically it was all one territory. | ||
| So it is strange, first observation, that the Holy See weighs in and says, you know what, we're going to put Russia and Ukraine together, as if that is somehow responding to Our Lady's request, in the name of God by the way, to consecrate Russia. | ||
| Okay, the second observation to make, And here this is somewhat more church-speak. | ||
| It's more church-speak what I'm going to say now. | ||
| And that is, Our Lady said God asks that the Pope orders all the bishops of the world to participate and to share with him, in union with him, to use the precise word, this consecration. | ||
| And in fact, what the Pope has done, he has invited bishops to join in with him. | ||
| Now, you might say, is that just a technicality? | ||
| Well, there is an important set of global bishops in the world who certainly haven't been ordered by the Pope to participate. | ||
| They haven't even been invited. | ||
| And that's the Orthodox. | ||
| Bishops, Steve. | ||
| I think there are 13 ecclesial Orthodox Communions, starting off with Alexandria and then obviously including Ukraine as well, famously, because that's a big issue diplomatically for the Vatican right now. | ||
| But also, of course, the Russian Patriarchate. | ||
| Now, these bishops of the world, they are bishops of the world, the Catholic Church has always maintained that the Orthodox bishops are validly consecrated bishops, are not participating in this consecration. | ||
| So these are a number of observations that I would make and which have created a great deal of confusion right now when everyone was, you know, everybody was looking almost even explicitly to the Holy See to offer some practical mediation in, as you say, de-escalating the situation rather than wading in and creating confusion. | ||
| Okay, Ben, I want you to hang there, and we're going to come back to you. | ||
| You've got a lot to talk about. | ||
| Ben's been all over the negotiations and getting some sort of peace agreement. | ||
| Also, what happened in NATO and Brussels yesterday. | ||
| So, Ben, just hang with me. | ||
| We're going to chop some wood here and come back to you. | ||

| Let's go to... I want to talk about two things. | ||
| One, the economic war that we're at and who's doing what, who's prepared for it. | ||
| Also, how we've been Dramatically impact the collateral damage right now of our economy is because of how we comport ourselves and the decisions that were made, particularly by Biden, about these mandates and about the COVID, the biological weapon that hit us the first time. | ||
| I want to go to Tom Mullins. | ||
| Tom, you got a great piece up. | ||
| We're putting it up in the War Room about this economic war. | ||
| Walk us through your assessment of the economic war that's going on right now between the West, NATO, the United States, Russia, and particularly China. | ||

Well, I do want to talk about that, and I just want to acknowledge the point you made in the previous segment about how you push back on the bombing of Syria. | |
| And I think it's important for people to understand how the empire, as I call it, runs, because who are you pushing back against? | ||
| Not the elected president, but the unelected bureaucrats who run the foreign policy establishment, no matter who gets elected. | ||
| This Ukraine thing is a long term project, part of the full court press on Russia that goes back to the late 1990s. | ||
| And so these people, you know, basically bring, you know, the latest thing that they want the president to do to him, give him a Hobson's choice. | ||
| And that's how it works. | ||
| And whatever they can get by the president to sign off on, that's what they do. | ||
| And they live in a bubble. | ||
| And, you know, they're still living in the 1990 bubble where we are not, haven't been living well beyond our means for decades. | ||
| A lot of that has to do with our monetary system, the privilege we've abused of having the world's reserve currency. | ||
| And they think that we can get away with this stuff and there will be no consequences. | ||
| Well, we just threw our best economic shot, our Sunday punch at Russia, hit them flush on the jaw, and they're still there. | ||
| And now they're talking about not only backing their own currency domestically with gold, but getting together with China to start to work on a new standard. | ||
| India is interested in that. | ||
| I mean, that's a third of the world's population, more than a third. | ||
| So I want to I want to I want to make sure that we the punch was we went after their central bank. | ||
| We swept all the reserves and dollar and euros, which is two thirds of reserves. | ||
| We went after their central bank and we went after the ruble specifically to destroy it, to have a cause an uprising, an overthrow of the regime. | ||
| We try to use monetary. | ||
| We weaponized the dollar. | ||
| To try to have regime change. | ||
| And what we found out from the Chinese and now even Indians, who are supposed to be our partner in the Indo-Pacific strategy, they're cutting deals right now in rubles to rupees. | ||
| So is your point that you think we took our best shot and they were ready for it? | ||

| I think Putin's been preparing since The the coup that we ran in Ukraine in 2014 and and his response to it and all of that So they've got low debt You know, they're not they're a poor country by comparison to the United States, but they're not leveraged to the hilt They're not living beyond their means they're living well within their means especially over the last decade and I think they were ready to go down to A lower standard of living. | ||
| They don't have a population like ours that gets, you know, scared by microaggressions. | ||
| You know, they've got a population that had lived hard under the Soviet system, have had a better standard of living since it ended, but I think they're ready for hard times. | ||
| I don't think the American population is ready for hard times. | ||

| We've got $30 trillion of face amount of debt, nine trillion at the Federal Reserve. | ||

| And we've got systemic deficits as far as the, in perpetuity, Congressional Budget Office says that, principally driven by a trillion dollar, a one trillion dollar defense bill, defense spending, we do every year, annual, roughly a trillion dollars. | ||
| They say, well, it's only $880 billion. | ||
| No, when you add it all up, as you should, it's a trillion dollars, in perpetuity. | ||

| Nobody's talking about it, but you've got to always remember, you talk about this runaway inflation. | ||

| That's late to the party. | ||
| And it will clearly add something, but it ain't the real problem. | ||

| Yeah, that's right. | ||
| It's very upsetting to me that people go to the grocery store and they're shell-shocked. | ||
| In the last six weeks, last two months, we've seen huge price increases. | ||
| And the Treasury Department says, oh, it's 7%, it's 8%. | ||
| It's ridiculous. | ||
| I mean, everybody knows otherwise. | ||
| The media's not really talking about it. | ||
| I just looked at Google Trends, and it turns out inflation's at the highest surge in history. | ||
| People are panicked, not just about gas prices, but about food prices themselves. | ||
| And my worry is that people are not connecting this existing sort of pillaging that's taking place with what happened Uh, going on two years ago, but there's a direct relationship. | ||
| And, but the point of my, my article was to draw out these causal connections that requires, you know, a couple of steps of logic and thinking through some of the data, but it was inevitable that we would face this grim, uh, inflationary times and, and it's not going back either. | ||
| My read on it is that we're stuck with this and it's, and it's going to get worse. | ||
| Tell us about how you connect the dots back to this debacle with the CCP virus and the bioweapon that came out of the Wuhan lab. | ||
| That's right. | ||
| So we got Fauci panicked in February. | ||
| He thinks this may be a lab leak. | ||
| What's he going to do? | ||
| Well, we're going to stop infections by shutting down the whole country. | ||
| That happened. | ||
| Congress panicked about what this is going to mean from an economic point of view and threw around $1.7 trillion. | ||
| That was late March. | ||
| And what that did to the governors and the mayors around the country is they say, hey, wow, look, you know, this lockdown's not so bad. | ||
| We're actually making money about this. | ||
| So the ruling class in the United States was thrilled. | ||
| They were throwing a party. | ||
| They get to stay home and look at all the money pouring in from Washington. | ||
| OK, the Federal Reserve got into the action. | ||
| When Congress spends money that they don't have, that means a debt creation. | ||
| You've got to find a market for that debt. | ||
| The Federal Reserve provided a market for that debt. | ||
| And so on it went over the course of a year and then two. | ||
| And if you look at the numbers, they match almost dollar for dollar. | ||
| I mean, depending on what measure you use, but I used M2 and I'm just using stimulus money, $6 trillion spent, $6 trillion created by the Fed. | ||
| Federal Reserve's balance sheet goes through the roof. | ||
| And what does that mean in terms of your existing money? | ||
| Well, it means that every existing unit is going to be worth less. | ||
| Not all at once. | ||
| But you're going to show up in these pockets of inflation. | ||
| It's going to be lumber, and then it's going to be gas, and it's going to be used cars, and everything. | ||
| Well, finally, it's hit the grocery stores, and it's completely out of control. | ||
| And what people need to understand is that this is a deliberate pillaging of America. | ||
| The people who are suffering from this are the poor and the middle class. | ||
| The ruling classes that did all this to us in the first place are going to be probably just fine. | ||
| But everybody else is being looted with this stealth tax. | ||
| This is not, you know, a natural event. | ||
| This was caused by the machinery in Washington that is addicted to this endless spending and money creation. | ||
| They got away with it a little bit in 2008 without causing inflation for very specific technical reasons that do not apply this time. | ||
| This time, it was like helicopters flying over the U.S., dropping dollars to ameliorate the effects of lockdowns. And people were happy. You remember this, Steve? | ||
| People were like, wow, the government's giving me money. I've never seen anything like it. | ||

| The Fed being able to do this, create money out of nowhere, actually having us buy our own debt, which is what they call monetizing the debt to create more money. | ||

| I'm the biggest anti-globalist ever. | ||
| There's a way to do it, and there's a way to have a free fall. | ||
| These irresponsible people, in this government, at Wall Street, these woke corporations, Davos, etc. | ||
| This is a situation that's going to quickly get out of their control. | ||
| They brought it upon us, like they brought it upon the people in Ukraine, they're bringing it upon the people in the United States. | ||
| This is why we are headed to an economic and financial carnage, brought on by your batters. | ||
| Yeah, I'm afraid you're right. | ||
| And it's not being talked about in the media either. | ||
| This is what's surprising to me. | ||
| I read the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times every day, and normally under these conditions, you would see a great deal of concern. | ||
| What's causing this? | ||
| What are the effects of this? | ||
| What's this doing to the household budget? | ||
| What are the poor going to do? | ||
| I mean, there would be real public concern. | ||
| What I see happening is an attempt to calm everybody down. | ||
| Don't worry. | ||

| officials are scrambling to prepare for a record-breaking surge of migrants attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border this spring. | ||
| In a CNN exclusive interview, the chief of Border Patrol says he is bracing for a staggering 8,000 apprehensions a day. | ||
| CNN's Priscilla Alvarez joins me now on this story. | ||
| That is a huge number. | ||

It's not just a big number, but the Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz told me that that is the norm that he is expecting over the next 30 to 45 days. | |
| So there's a couple reasons why the concern is right now. | ||
| Number one, typically border arrests go up in the warmer months, and we're heading into the spring, so we're already starting to see that happen. | ||
| Number two, we are waiting for a decision on a Trump-era pandemic emergency rule. | ||
| What that rule did was allow authorities to turn people away at the border. | ||
| We are waiting next week for a CDC decision whether that stays in effect. | ||
| If it doesn't, that means we go back to the traditional protocols. | ||
| Which would be releasing migrants, sometimes monitoring them when that happens, detaining them, or removing them if they don't have an asylum claim. | ||
| But that takes processing, that takes time. | ||
| And so what the Border Patrol has had to do is prepare for the event that there will be many more people coming in the next few weeks. | ||
| And they are already, by the way, Breonna, over capacity. | ||
| This week they had 16,000 people in custody in their facilities. | ||
