Because they would have had to come to the American people, shut down their government, and then to open it back up, explain exactly how they're going to finance this.

Mitch McConnell came up with another plan and essentially it looks like the Senate Republicans are going to cave on the debt ceiling and kick the can down the road.

You'll have $10 a year, $1.5 trillion per year, and then we'll kick in some of the infrastructure bill and you'll kick in some of the new entitlements bill.
And you'll get to $45 trillion.
And you go back to normal interest rates, you'll be wiping out all the ability to finance anything on the discretionary budget.
And we'll have a crisis.
And people under 45 years old, they'll be out in the backyard in tomato cans and forget how to finance things.
That's where we're going to put people under 45 years old.
This is your future.

That's what they never want to talk about on TV.
They say, oh, the American people really like these programs he ran on.
If you take a poll and said, would you like free, would you like free health care?

When you talk about 20.3 trillion face amount of debt right now, and the numbers they're talking about, the Congressional Budget Office says, hey, if they go down this path, just with the systemic Deficit that you have every year, you're going to be at $45 trillion in less than a decade.

I mean, the thought of getting to $40-45 trillion, it's... Listen, this is not debt that can ever be paid down traditionally.

Where there's going to be some form of major event, whether it's a collapse, a loss of global reserve currency status, we're putting ourselves in a very bad position.
We are mortgaging the future of this country to try and see ourself, you know, through the next few months or few weeks.
It's crazy.
The position that we're putting ourselves in is one that we cannot come back from from a numbers standpoint.
We just can't and we're there already.

So Boris, hearing a financial analyst say, hey look, we're playing with fire here, and this is the types of decisions... Look, first off, all the easy decisions about finance in this country are in back of us anyway.

What I'm hearing now, and this is breaking as we speak, is that there was some talk that the Democrats were going to carve the dead ceiling out from the filibuster.
So this is McConnell's ill-fated attempt to save the filibuster, as if that matters.
Some nonsense Senate thing matters more than actually saving the American economy, saving the American people, saving American children from the trillions, the yoke of debt that is being put on them.

He said they have transitioned from a law enforcement responsibility to a humanitarian Responsibility.
Their responsibility has changed.
Now, who's coming across?
That hasn't changed.
In fact, they've become more violent.
But what Texas and what big talkers like Greg Abbott are doing is simply trying to show a big game.
But what they're doing on the ground is the exact opposite.
And to your point, really, the best analysis or analogy that I can think of that what's going on here, it's just like the weather.
When you have a low-pressure front, that's what sucks in The high pressure.
That's how you get weather to come in.
That's how you get clouds.
That's how you get storms.
That's how you get hurricanes.

I think, quite frankly, we have to be concerned about what's coming down the pike, because for the last year, the attention has been on critical race theory happening in schools, and we all know that this has been happening.
Maybe it hasn't been taught specifically, but elements of critical race theory are absolutely being taught to children across this country.
When children are told that because the color of their skin is white, they are oppressors, and if the color of their skin is dark, then they are victims, Those are elements of critical race theory, and they are being taught in school.
But to my point, I think parents need to be more concerned right now about the unrolling of social emotional learning that is happening across the country.
This is the next wave of critical race theory.
And what parents do need to be so concerned about is that schools are Telling parents that they are introducing social emotional learning because for the last year when their children were at home on lockdowns, they've suffered from social skills loss.
They might be suffering some mental health issues, and that by unrolling social-emotional learning, we are going to help bring these skills back to life because they've been lagging.
And when you really start to dig into social-emotional learning, you find that there are these elements of critical race theory buried deep inside that they do not want you to know about.
And you can see this Specifically in the state of Virginia, you can see this in the standards that Virginia has rolled out for social-emotional learning.
They go K-12, and as you go up the ranks, getting higher and higher in the grades, You see that they get worse.
So you'll see standards stating, I can identify that I have certain advantages based on who I am and where I was born.
And so the focus is on identity.
They want people to focus on their identity.
They want people to focus on their implicit biases.
There's actually several standards that specifically state I can recognize my own implicit biases.
I can recognize and I can correct these.
And so my question to educators that are teaching these standards is, who gets to tell my children what it is that they don't know that they're thinking that they are thinking?
And how are they going to be assessed on that?
