Well the virus has now killed more than a hundred people in China and new cases have been confirmed around the world.
You don't want to frighten the American public.
France and South Korea have also got evacuation plans.
But you need to prepare for and assume.
Broadly warning Americans to avoid all non-essential travel to China.
This is going to be a real serious problem.
France, Australia, Canada, the US, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, the list goes on.
Health officials are investigating more than 100 possible cases in the US.
Germany, a man has contracted the virus.
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
Japan, where a bus driver contracted the virus.
Coronavirus has killed more than 100 people there and infected more than 4,500.
We have to prepare for the worst, always.
anthony fauci
Because if you don't, then the worst happens.

War Room.
Pandemic.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
How does this play out, Congresswoman?
What's going to happen over the next, let's say, six hours, and then let's say week and a half?
Well, you know, high drama is the only way we operate here.
And, unfortunately, we have a recalcitrant Republican leadership in Mitch McConnell, who, by the way, has three times in the Trump administration lifted the debt limit, has said it would be a disaster if we defaulted.
And now, all of a sudden, he's using this as a political football.
Well, tell that to the Social Security recipients.
Who aren't going to get their checks.
Tell it to all the banks and everyone who's got money in accounts when the interest rate goes up.
When we create a financial disaster across the world.
This is reckless.
This is beyond reckless.
And I think we've got to call out the Republicans who think that this is just a fine political game to be played.
You have described it here on this show as reckless, Congresswoman, but I don't know that that changes the facts of what is at hand in front of you here, which is that there is absolutely no sign that the GOP will back down.
So the question to you then, what is the plan B?
Is there one?
No, there can't be a Plan B. We've already incurred these debts.
In fact, 27% of the debt that's been created has been created by Donald Trump during his administration.
Only 3% under the Biden administration.
The money that we spent on the rescue plan, where we propped up businesses, we propped up people who were unemployed, that's all been spent Everyone supported it.
We had 44 Republicans who supported that.
So on the one hand, they want to support it, but then they don't want to pay for it?
I mean, it's just irresponsible.
And we've got to call them out for it.
And we've got to make everyone aware of what this means to every single American if the Republicans go through with this political More challenging issue is this issue of raising the debt ceiling, how much the government can borrow.
Now, the deadline for that isn't until mid-October, which is a lifetime in congressional time.
But the stakes are so high and the battle lines so thoroughly drawn right now, it's starting to make people like me a little bit nervous.
But for example, on the stakes, Moody's says this would be cataclysmic if we go over the We said it could be $15 trillion worth of wealth in the stock market lost, millions of jobs lost.
That's the stakes here.
That's also why this will get done.
The U.S.
has never defaulted on its debt.
Both parties are saying it will get done.
I've heard enough.
steve bannon
I wanted to tee this up today.
You're in the War Room.
It is Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
We're now into fall, past summer.
In studio, I've got the one and only Matt Gaetz.
I asked Congressman Gaetz to come here today because of his expertise and focus on the very issues we had before us.
Remember, the whole reason this has happened is because of this audience.
You have bombarded, bombarded Capitol Hill with emails, with texts, with calls, and today we're putting it all up again.
Go to the website.
Up in the left-hand column, just type in your zip code, your congressman come down, and I just don't want short emails.
Think about this today, take some of the articles we're putting up, be reflective, and start bombarding these guys.
It's no one the CR, and no one the debt ceiling.
We've got him cornered, and that's what happened last night.
Before we get to Matt Gaetz, we're going to bring in Steve Moore.
So, hi Steve, hi Matt, great to be with you guys.
with President Trump as one of his senior economic advisors.
Steve, you and I, I had you on months ago.
We were on top of this when Janet Yellen said right before the 4th of July, hey, guess what?
We're gonna default on government securities in mid-August.
Tell us where we stand today after this vote last night and what your group's prepared to do.
unidentified
So, hi Steve, hi Matt.
Great to be with you guys.
This, I've never seen anything like this, this media assault on fiscal sanity.
You know, I listened to what Jackie was saying, that Republican House member, a colleague of yours, Matt.
I mean, she basically said, let me write this.
I wrote it down.
She said, this is reckless.
She said, this is beyond reckless.
Absolutely it is.
Steve, this is the most massive increase in the debt in the history of our country.
The Democrats this year, if they have their way, will have authorized $12 trillion, $12 trillion in spending.
And they're saying the Republicans are the ones who are acting reckless.
Now, look, I'm not a rah-rah Republican.
You guys know that.
And Republicans certainly have their faults and they've run up the debt too, but nothing like this.
And the catastrophe that's happening is if we continue to allow them to raise the debt ceiling and borrow and borrow.
And Matt, I got to say this, any Republican who votes to raise that debt ceiling or votes for that absurd trillion dollar green energy bill that is masquerading as an infrastructure bill, they are aiding and abetting the Democrats and the enemy, and they are leading the country to bankruptcy.
steve bannon
But hang on, but hang on.
Don't bury the lead here.
She said there's no plan B. She said there can't be a plan B!
Right?
Can't be a plan B!
There's got to be a plan B. And here's the plan B. They've had plenty of time.
It's their government.
They have the House, the Senate.
Where's the Appropriations Bill?
Right?
The CR is, because I'm not going to let the Republicans run, you know, some of our good buddies run around.
Now you've got Shelby and McConnell putting forward a clean CR.
No on CR, no on the debt ceiling.
They're inextricably linked.
The House last night, McCarthy, Scalise, Stefanik, did an amazing job of you guys standing tall and saying, just say no.
Steve, hang on a second.
We're bringing Matt Gaetz in this conversation.
Put us in the room last night.
How did you guys stand tall?
matt gaetz
Well, first I can assure you, Steve, I didn't even vote to raise the debt limit when Donald Trump asked me to do it, so I'm certainly not going to do it when Joe Biden asked me to do it.
steve bannon
Steve Mnuchin was not able to convince you.
matt gaetz
Yeah, when Mick Mulvaney came to get the Republicans to raise the debt limit, that was quite the moment.
unidentified
Matt, it's not you I'm worried about, it's your colleagues.
There are a lot of these kind of bedwetting Republicans who read the Washington Post and New York Times, especially in the Senate.
And those are the people I'm worried about.
You know, they care about what the Washington Post and the New York Times writes.
matt gaetz
Well, and they care what their donors tell them, and that's why you see this Shelby McConnell effort now.
Imagine a canoe, and on one end of the canoe you have Nancy Pelosi, and on the other you have AOC.
They've pointed guns at one another, and at the bottom of the canoe, and in the middle of the canoe is Joe Biden, wondering how in the hell he got in this circumstance where the You know, moderates who need to get re-elected are up against the Woketopians who want to spend $3.5 trillion.
steve bannon
This is absolutely the key point.
You now have those guys at each other's throat.
The media won't cover how vicious that civil war is, right?
You have the Virginia 7 and Virginia 2, the congresswomen from there, that understand.
They start voting for this crazy stuff.
They're finished.
Their career's over.
They're at each other's throats.
Why do we bail him out?
With no plan B. With no plan B. Jackie Spires right there.
She's a smart one.
She's one of the very smart ones.
She goes, hey, there's no plan B. You can't even consider a plan B. Well, that's the signal.
unidentified
You know what, guys, what the plan B is?
You know what plan B is?
Cancel all the debt spending.
Cancel the $5 trillion Great Society bill.
I mean, you know, by the way, I want to make one other quick point, Steve, because I know a lot about this debt ceiling.
I've lived through 30 years of debt ceiling fights.
It is a lie to say we would have to cut social security.
Hold it, Steve.
steve bannon
Steve, hold it.
Yo, bro, you lived through 30 years of debt ceiling fights.
We got $28.3 trillion of debt.
unidentified
Yeah, right.
Well, but here's the point.
matt gaetz
He didn't win them.
He just went through them.
steve bannon
Now, that's my point.
This is where we draw the line.
This is the hill to die on right here.
We've had these fights for 30 years and we have $30 trillion of debt.
unidentified
And incidentally, Steve, here's my point.
If they do not pass a debt ceiling on time, What did Jackie say?
She said, oh, we have to cut Social Security.
No, they don't.
Matt, no, they don't.
That would mean that the Congress can only spend what the money is coming in.
So you could fund Social Security.
You could fund our national defense.
They'd have to cut the energy department.
They'd have to cut the education department.
They'd have to cut the social programs.
They'd have to cut... But that never has happened.
Let me just walk through some basic math.
steve bannon
And this is why you can't, I'm not letting you guys off the hook in the CR.
Forget the infrastructure bill and forget the 3.5 trillion.
Let's put those off to the side because those are goodies that are on top of things.
I'm talking about the basic budget and finance.
Right now it's about 5.2 trillion dollars.
3.5 trillion of that is the transfer of payments.
Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, okay?
You have now a trillion to a trillion and a half dollars of discretionary.
If you look at what CBO says, For the next 10 years, every year, with the growth plan that's in there, we are running trillion dollar deficits.
This gets to your 12 trillion dollars or more.
Steve, here's the point.
They don't have the ability right now to finance the ongoing government, and that's why on September 30th at midnight it shuts down unless we blink.
They have to come up with a plan that with, and remember historically it's between 17% and 19% of GDP is tax revenues, right?
That gets you to be able to, so you can sell some bonds and you've got tax revenues that are basically 20% of GDP, right?
That gets you to a certain amount of budget that's breaking, but then you've got to get to the discretionary spending and you have to take a meat ax or you have to go back into Medicaid and these things and start making some tough calls.
Right now, This audience is the dip lender.
They're the debtor in possession, right?
You've got to come to them for authority to do this.
And they're sitting there going, show me the plan.
And not the plan of your goodies on the 1.25 trillion, not your 3.5 trillion.
That's all fantasy.
Show me just how you're going to finance this government.
Right?
And no more of this stuff we're going to spend it first and then we're going to come back and say, oh gosh, no, no, no, no.
Here's, we want to see a plan of, is it a trillion dollars a year for the next ten years?
Because we want to tell our kids tonight, we're putting you into debt slavery.
Right?
We just want to make sure, let's be honest with our children and our grandchildren, and we sit there and go, guess what?
We're going to have ten trillion dollars of new debt because that's just a hard math.
Am I wrong, Congressman Gates?
Then we'll go to Steve Moore.
matt gaetz
You're wrong to the extent that you divorce that discussion from the $3.5 trillion and from the infrastructure bill because the left that wants to finance the government through these massive spending bills in addition to the acquisition of debt, they don't think of these things separately.
And so the opportunity for Republicans...
I agree with that.
steve bannon
of a clean sea are clean sea are agree but my point is if you jam up on the basic ability and make them come to the american people and admit it's ten trillion dollars in just the basis of the government the people who hold it it's ten three dollars normal course of business plus one point two five plus three point five decades the moors twelve that right now if this was not brought up by this audience and you guys powered into capitol hill we would essentially be to steve morse point by doing this this cute tricks of the next couple of days by the democrats want
in the stablish republicans we would be basically saying fifteen trillion dollars a debt is going to come to come about and our children will be debt-savings They're going to go from Russian serfs to debt slaves, and we're going to kill the economic opportunity of the United States.
Steve Moore.
unidentified
So, you know, Steve, you were a very successful Investment banker in your previous life.
And you know that if you're if you're in if you're a banker and you've got a bankrupt household or a bankrupt business and they come in and they say, I want a loan, you know, or I want a credit card.
I want an increase in my credit card, even though I'm way over my credit limit.
What is the first thing that bank or creditor is going to do?
They're going to say, okay, show me the plan.
Show me the plan for you to get out of debt, right?
There's no plan here, Matt.
There's no plan.
What is their plan to get out of debt?
It's just a borrow and borrow and borrow and borrow and borrow.
matt gaetz
Yeah, the plan is to live in a state of poverty.
steve bannon
But hold it, but hold it.
God bless McCarthy, Scalise, and Elise Stefanik.
Last night, they said that in unison.
They said, guess what?
Even some of the problem solvers said, you know what?
The answer is no, right?
There's nothing on the CR and nothing on the debt ceiling.
Come back to us, but right now with what you're putting forward, it is no.
And that's what Shelby and McConnell blinked last night.
matt gaetz
That's correct.
I mean, you know, now they have gaslit the moderate Republicans who are, you know, anti-shutdown to go and bail out the Democrats.
steve bannon
Steve Moore, tell us.
I know you're fighting this nonstop.
Tell us how the people can get to you.
What's your social media?
What's the new organization you've got?
You've stood up on this.
We got about a minute.
I want you to walk through.
stephen moore
So we've got a group that we're doing with America First, a lot of your former colleagues over in the White House, Steve Bannon, Brooke Rollins, and my buddy Larry Kudlow, and other smart people to basically stop the massive increase in the debt.
unidentified
By the way, Matt, can I just Correct me on one thing that you said.
Will you please stop calling this the $3.5 trillion spending bill?
It's $5 trillion!
They're using fake accounting, phony accounting.
They're not counting all the spending in the bill.
I mean, no CEO can be fired!
They can be put in jail!
steve bannon
Can you hang over?
I know you've got another hit at 10.30, but can you stay through the commercial break?
I just want to get everything for you in the two minutes afterwards.
So Moore's going to stay.
Matt Gaetz is here.
And Gaetz is all over this.
We're going to take a short commercial break.
We'll be back in Worm in a moment.
unidentified
War Room.
Pandemic.
With Stephen K. Bannon.
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
War Room.

steve bannon

That's what we say on Wall Street.
unidentified

steve bannon

Support the armor-piercing shell that is Mike Lindell.
In fact, I'm going to get Mike back up here.
Left-wing media went nuts yesterday or the other day when he was talking about what he's doing with the Secretaries of State.
So we're going to get Mike back up here.
If not this morning, then this evening.
Okay, Steve Moore, I know you've got to run.
You're dropping bombs all over the place.
Tell me about the, how is it, this is one thing in the accounting people got, we're getting, you've got to get to the numbers.
Because the math doesn't lie.
That infrastructure bill, none of it's paid for.
It's all three-card money about how they pay for it.
Even the New York Times says $400 billion of the 1.25 is not paid for, and I'd actually argue it's $800 billion it's not paid for.
But how is the 3.5, this fantasy, which is more radical than the New Deal and the Great Society, to the power of 10?
Why is this $5 trillion instead of $3.5 trillion?
unidentified
First of all, stop using the left's rhetoric.
This is not an infrastructure bill, right Matt?
It is a green energy bill.
Only about one out of every five dollars in that trillion dollar bill is for what we consider infrastructure, which is roads and bridges and airports.
Most of it is for green energy, solar power, electric vehicles, windmills, all this crap that has nothing to do with our infrastructure.
In fact, that bill will make our infrastructure worse, not better.
Look, what they've done is they have a 10 year window, right, a 10 year budget window.
This is Dunkirk for the conservative movement.
We have got to stop them.
they're not counting the last three years of the spending.
And even the nonpartisan groups are saying, this is actually $5 trillion.
Probably, you know, we'd be worse than that because they're creating all these new entitlement programs.
If you want to find out more about it, this is, you talked about dropping bombs, Steve Bannon, this is Dunkirk for the conservative movement.
We have got to stop them.
We're going to spend the next 25 years on war room trying to undo the damage that these people want to do.
Whether it's the green energy.
Whether it's modern monetary theory.
Whether it's the massive increase in tax rates that will destroy our economy.
Whether it's selling us out to the Chinese.
All of this stuff is devastating to the American economy.
It's the big government socialist dream.
Go to Committee to Unleash Prosperity website.
Sign up for our hotline.
Get involved.
There's no time for pacifists right now, Steve.
Everybody, everybody of good will has got to be engaged in this fight over the next two months.
steve bannon
And by the way, this is why this posse is so powerful.
This is where you're getting more.
We've got you a place in the room.
You've got to sit at the table.
You've got to take advantage of it.
The response is no and no.
Steve Moore, thank you very much.
By the way, real quickly, social media, how do people follow you during the day?
unidentified
Just go to, well, the best way to follow us is just go to our website, Committee to Unleash Prosperity.
Get our hotline.
I know you get it, Steve, every morning.
By the way, we reported yesterday, nine of the 10 states with the lowest unemployment rate are red states.
Nine of the 10 states with the highest unemployment rate are the blue states.
What the left wants to do is make America want to look like California and New York and New Jersey.
We want to make America look like Florida and Texas and Tennessee and Idaho and Utah.
States that work.
steve bannon
Thank you, brother.
Amen.
By the way, California, the highest poverty rate in the country, the great state of California, highest poverty rate.
We're in Florida.
You guys are hitting on all cylinders.
Pull the camera back.
Tell me about how this impacts boomers and why is this a war on the U.S.
dollar?
matt gaetz
Well, you made the point about the impact on the next generation, but let's look at the impact on the generation that has spent all of their life working, that has saved some money, that has developed some assets, maybe now has some bonds or CDs, and now that is being crushed by the policies of Joe Biden.
And so while it is typical for us to look to the impact of debt on the next generation, you have to look at the Joe Biden war on the U.S.
dollar, who that hurts and who that helps.
Who that hurts are those people who, I mean, have Played by the rules, have done right, and now could see their life savings devalued.
It really helps the Chinese, the Communist Party, because they have an opportunity now to leverage cash flow against our debt.
The whole One Belt One Road deal is about cash flow.
I mean, China's economic model when they go into these third world countries is to offer massive upfront cash in exchange for long-term cash flow.
And so if you look at the dollar being more volatile, And I'm not saying we're at the collapsing point yet of the dollar, but as these things progress, you're going to see fewer deals done in the dollar, which helps the Chinese.
steve bannon
No, they're trying to do the Saudi deal right now in RMB, or they're trying to do it in crypto.
Put us in the room again, because people don't get this enough.
It's not explained enough.
unidentified
Yes.
matt gaetz
the fight over the civil war between the progressives aoc how powerful their incentive they are versus that what i call it the typical moderate left-wing democrat right there because that fighting we can exacerbate that we can help that has a flame and we're not doing it we call work work as the flames are growing higher in uh... the battle between the woke topians in the establishment democrats uh... we are showing up with establishment republicans and fire extinguishers
I mean, that's what McConnell and Shelby have essentially done with this clean CR.
They have delivered Joe Biden a total rescue because there is not a governing coalition in the House of Representatives right now.
steve bannon
What does that mean?
matt gaetz
There are the Establishment Democrats, there are the, you know, I would say, Two, three dozen AOC Woketopians, and then there are the Republicans.
And the good news is that in the minority, we have seen the Republicans capable of working together in the House.
The problem is, the reason Steve, good man Steve Moore, brilliant man, the reason he's been losing the debt limit fight for 30 years is because you can always buy off a handful of Senate Republicans with spending that they want.
That's their grift.
Like the whole grift of being a Senate Republican in the establishment is that you set your price.
And when the governing Democrats and when the party of Davos needs to protect their financial institutions over the long-term economic health of our nation and our families and our currency, those sellouts are there, you know, to be purchased by the Washington elite who need their vote.
And unfortunately, Mitch McConnell has greatly benefited off that system for his whole career.
steve bannon
I want to turn to your podcast here in a second, but right now, over the next couple of days, how can people follow you?
Because this is going to be minute-by-minute.
I told on this show for the last week, if people put their shoulder to what they did, because we did a forcing function, force them to combine both, which is like a gift, right?
that this audience is now super engaged, hyper engaged.
What's your recommendation to this audience?
What are you telling them as one of the field commanders here?
What are you telling this audience they need to do?
matt gaetz
We need to bring heat on the Republicans in the United States Senate to hang with us, to hang with the country, and to force bad decisions on this Democrat governing majority.
The Democrats have unified control of the government right now.
And if we force them to actually govern, the American people will see that they are incapable of doing it.
But when we come in and help them out, and bail them out, and provide legislative vehicles for them to avoid their flashpoints, then we are, I think, calling into question our capability to win the majority.
Everyone holds it out as this great certainty that we're going to win the majority back.
We have to be worthy of winning the majority.
And the only way that's going to happen is if the war room posse and the rest of the people in this country see that we will fight for them.
That in these moments of peril, when you're about to see the United States currency, the United States economic system go into just a total state of turmoil because of Joe Biden, Uh, we actually need to see Republicans that stand and fight.
I'm glad we've done that in the House.
You've rightly given credit to our leadership for leading that effort, but we don't see that same sense of purpose and determination in our Republican senators.
steve bannon
Right now, you guys and President Trump had it and Biden had it because of the collapse.
We said that when we started the show, a pandemic triggers an economic crisis, triggers a capital markets crisis, and a geopolitical crisis.
Right now, that drop in aggregate demand, both Trump and Biden and you guys worked on and passed packages for $5 trillion.
My point, before you started having the conversation of raising the debt ceiling at 28.3, $5 trillion is owed to the American people by the Chinese Communist Party.
You're one of the toughest lawyers in town.
Walk me through how we go get our money.
matt gaetz
Well, you might have to wake, you know, Paul Ryan up with smelling salts after I say this, but we should have a border adjustment tax against the Chinese Communist Party.
Why do we allow them to pollute the world, to infect the world, to dominate the world with currency manipulation and other bullying tactics?
We give them special...
Yeah, I mean, they go and engage in economic warfare, and we're waving the white flag of surrender too often, giving our market availability away for far too little.
And economic nationalists in our country have to understand that not only do we have to protect our border for our national sovereignty, We have to protect the dollar for economic sovereignty, and I would tax the hell out of Chinese products coming into this country, and I would use that as the mechanism to actually cash in on the reparations from China that we are owed.
steve bannon
Gates is on fire.
Real quickly, your podcast is on fire too.
I want to talk about the podcast, but particularly, there's been all kinds of things.
matt gaetz
A guy's getting indicted about this whole thing, extorting your Yeah, no, I'm glad you gave me the opportunity to tell the country that my family was being extorted on a pile of lies.
A lot of folks thought that was far-fetched.
Now the first indictment has dropped.
I expect that there should be other indictments.
You know, unless they're folks at the DOJ protecting people.
steve bannon
I missed that on MSNBC and CNN.
I missed the guy getting indicted for extorting your family.
matt gaetz
Yeah, it's quite something.
steve bannon
Indicted.
The podcast is on fire.
How do people get there?
matt gaetz
Yeah, Firebrand is my podcast.
I enjoy it the same way I enjoy War Room on Rumble.
I'm also on YouTube for now, and folks can follow me on any podcast listening platform.
steve bannon
And I'm not upset, but I gotta put this out there.
You know, Vish, you know, Vish came here and Vish was like wandering the streets of New York.
We gave Vish a job.
He's a great producer here.
But he's taking the game up.
Your show is so well produced.
Vish at the end wasn't hitting a lick here.
Why does he go to work for Gates and all of a sudden it's like the best produced podcast in the world?
Well, you know.
Next to my colleagues here.
matt gaetz
Well, you know, Vish, after leaving the war room, was in the correct emotional state to come work for the United States Congress.
After working in the war room, you get so beat down, overworked, and overtaxed, it's the perfect preparation to become a government employee.
steve bannon
Social media, how do people follow you?
matt gaetz
At Rep Matt Gaetz, or at Matt Gaetz on Twitter.
But I'm telling you, Rumble is where it's at, man.
I'm pushing people there.
Your audience there is massive.
steve bannon
The next couple of days, couple of weeks, you gotta be all over Gates because he's at the tip of the spear of this fight about fiscal sanity.
Thank you for coming in.
Congressman Matt Gates.
Make sure you see his podcast tomorrow.
Vish, always great having you back.
Okay, short commercial break.
Kash Patel next in The War Room.

Okay.
This, uh, the fight over financing the government is, everybody complains that we can't cut government spending.
You have a chance to radically cut government spending and getting this government out of control.
And Steve Moore, the math, over the next 10 years, and this is why, quite frankly, this is why we have, uh, been fighting this.
If you just look at the normal course of business of the government, it's a trillion dollar deficit every year for the next 10 years.
That's what we're trying to highlight and make them defend that.
On top of that, you've got the I caught the infrastructure more because of the Green New Deal.
Whatever the nomenclature, that bill, then you've got the three and a half or five trillion, according to Moore's math.
But that's another, essentially, six or seven trillion on top of the ten trillion.
So remember, when they give me all this happy talk about how you're going to crush capital markets and everything like that, when has fiscal sanity ever hurt capital markets?
Right?
And now's the time to have the adult conversation.
Remember, in bankruptcies, and Yellen's told us, We will default on these government securities unless the debt ceiling is raised, and that just means it's going on your shoulders because they're going to print money.
And print money is a fancy term, or a cute term, for it goes to the full faith and credit of the U.S.
government, the Treasury, the Federal Reserve, and that is you.
That is you.
It's not a bond that's sold to the Chinese or the Japanese.
It's not tax revenues.
Remember, as much as they talk about increasing taxes, taxes have always been about 17% to 19%, I think it is, of GDP throughout history.
Right?
So, there's a gap, and that gap is on your shoulders.
That's why you get a say-so.
That's why you're the dip lender.
You're the debtor in possession lender.
Nobody.
And that's why they're losing it right now.
They're all squirming around.
Nobody can get any authorization.
Unless you say so.
unidentified
Okay.
steve bannon
I want to turn now and pivot to a guy that's not a household name, but will be in the second Trump administration.
He's on the very short list, I think, to be Secretary of Defense.
One of the best guys we had in the administration.
One of the best guys on Capitol Hill.
Really worked with Devin Nunes for many years.
Knows intelligence, knows the apparatus, knows national security better than anybody in the city.
That's Kash Patel.
Cash, you're a pretty level-headed guy, and I see that you're suing Politico and CNN and everybody for defamation.
Hey, they defame me every day, and you're not like me.
My hair's on fire all the time.
You're not.
So what did they do to get Cash Patel angry enough that you'd actually sue these guys for defamation?
kash patel
Well, thanks so much for having me on, Steve, and thanks for that kind intro.
Look, at a certain point when I was running the Russiagate investigation for Devin Nunes, when we unleashed the biggest political scandal in U.S.
history and people just hammered us personally because they thought we were the liars pitching this false narrative and it turned out to be true, they started coming after us and our families.
Calling me, me, a minority in America, a genocidal dictator and things like that.
And that's when you know you're over the target.
And Devin took the lead on this and he said, look, we got to start fighting back because we have to hold the media accountable.
So we started suing them.
So I sued Politico, the New York Times and CNN for defamation.
Because back in the, back in the day, I was just a lowly staffer.
Nobody knew who I was.
So I was a private citizen and the bar's much lower for defamation.
And what I found was that these people, they only listen to money.
All they care about is the bottom line.
So if you get after them for a righteous defamation case, and you sue them for $50 to $100 million, which is what I'm doing, and it's not for the money, once I get past summary judgment and I get these sources and I'm allowed to publicize them, then the world's gonna know who in the media is relying on garbage sources to put out false information.
So that was the purpose of the fight that Devin and I undertook initially.
And we're in the middle of it right now.
As you know, the courts move slow and they move even slower through the COVID pandemic.
steve bannon
I want to go back and be specific because our audience, we haven't covered Russia in a while.
We did a lot of it back in the War of Impeachment days.
We haven't done so much since we started war and pandemic in January of 2020.
What did they specifically say about you that just defamed you?
What was it that you can prove is a lie and they made it up or they got false information?
And what really got you most angry?
And people don't understand the personal attacks and the attacks on the family of Devin Nunes and Cash.
But tell us about that.
kash patel
Sure.
And you know, because you were subjected to it more than anyone, Steve.
But you're right.
What they did was basically, after coming after me personally and after making fun of me and my friends and my family, they said during the Ukraine impeachment hoax that I, Kash Patel, and these legal pleadings are public.
Anyone can go look at them.
And so I don't want to overstep and hurt my lawyer's feelings.
But basically they said, I, Kash Patel was Trump's Ukraine whisperer, having secret meetings with the President of the United States and telling him to engage in improper actions with the government of Ukraine.
Which could not be further from the truth because President Trump and I, as often as we have talked, we have never talked about Ukraine during my time in his administration.
It's just laughable.
And then they put me on center stage in front of the world during impeachment hearings.
And the people that said I supposedly had these meetings ended up coming up out on TV and saying, we'd never met Kash Patel.
So I said, you know what, enough's enough.
I've got their witnesses.
I know they don't have valid sources because meetings never happened like this.
And they made it up.
So I'm going to take them to court and force them to disclose their garbage underlying sourcing.
steve bannon
Cash, also you're one of the architects of President Trump's America First.
When you're with Nunes and his staffer, you know, and people should understand, Devin knows the intel community better than anybody.
In fact, Mike Pompeo from that committee, Mike Pompeo was made head of the CIA right the very first days after we won in 2016.
You know the intelligence community, you know the defense, you know national security.
Give our audience your assessment.
Of what Biden's plan is and how it's been executed so far, and what do you think it's doing to our overall national security?
kash patel
No, great question.
And yeah, as a guy who ran counterterrorism for President Trump and then Deputy Director of National Intelligence and over at DOD, I had a fortunate run during the Trump administration to lead our intelligence and defense apparatus.
But basically, it's very simple, Steve.
The answer is, what is Joe Biden doing?
If President Trump did X, Joe Biden is doing Y.
That's how scary their national security policy is.
They don't care what worked.
They don't care if it worked, our conditions-based withdrawal in Afghanistan worked, if our border protection policies worked, if our counter-narcotics policies worked, and wiping out terrorists policies worked.
They don't care because President Trump did that.
They've come in and just said, we're doing the opposite.
And that's the ultimate politicization of the national security apparatus of America.
And they're going to continue to do that.
And they don't care.
They don't care that Americans are stranded in Afghanistan.
They don't care that hostages are still there.
They don't care that our Southern border is a two-way door that has no locking mechanism.
They just don't care because they think, as Joe Biden tried to sell at UNGA yesterday, that diplomacy is the way forward and his words are going to carry the day for America.
And that's just an abject failure of leadership.
steve bannon
You and Devin, or Congressman Nunez, know the intel community better than anybody in the America First movement.
I've argued for a long time with Darren Beatty that we need a church commission.
There's something deeply wrong, and I'm not a deep state guy, because I keep saying it's up in your grill, right?
Look at Nunez and Cash Patel.
It's in your face.
There's nothing deep about it.
What do you think needs to be, so we get to the bottom of this, and the FBI and all that, because Beatty's on here later, about January 6th, about, he says it's not a failed intelligence, not a failure of intelligence, it's a failed intel operation, domestically by the FBI.
What is your sense, what would Kash Patel do to basically rejuvenate the institutions that are our intelligence apparatus?
kash patel
It's pretty simple, Steve.
One, we gotta win again in 22 and 24.
And then personnel, you know, is policy.
And not just at the principal level.
You gotta go down two, three, four levels down.
The undersecretaries, the assistant secretaries, the deputies, the chiefs of staff.
They all have to be people who agree with the commander-in-chief and don't believe that they can overcome a commander-in-chief just because they think they are saving America.
That's not how the chain of command works.
It didn't work like that when you were in the Navy and it hasn't changed.
And so we need to implement personnel across the board that follows the commander in chief's process and policies.
And that's the democratic process.
And anyone violating that should be thrown out of government and maybe even put in jail.
But we need a strong Department of Justice to do that.
steve bannon
Look, we got Kash Patel, we got Grinnell, Do you have that bench right now, or are you getting that bench up to speed?
So both in 22, on these committees when we take charge, and in 24, or sooner, we're able to staff this to the depth that we need to have it staffed.
kash patel
I think the bench is there, Steve.
I've worked with a lot of them.
You've worked with a lot of them.
And most people don't know their names, but that's probably a good thing, outside of the Devin Nuneses, the Rick Grinnells, the Johnny Ratcliffs of the world.
There's a number of good folks who can staff these positions, and I think we just have to win first.
And in order to win, as you said, that's why I sort of started FightWithCash.com, which is where you can find me, is I'm going to help Americans have their day in court so they can exact a revenge against the mainstream media when they were defamed into platforms.
And I think that's a big component of it because right now we don't control the media narrative because they're allowed to put out so many lies.
And so to counterbalance those lies and to help Americans gain their day in court, I started FightWithCash.com and we're going to start paying for their court cases.
steve bannon
We've got a situation now because of what Biden is doing of Mogadishu on the Rio Grande, right?
It's out of control with the Haitians.
And by the way, this is not to demonize the Haitians.
They've been tricked by the Biden administration thinking that it's open borders that come from Brazil and Chile.
In your assessment, how big a national security risk is the open southern border for us, sir, in this invasion?
kash patel
It's probably the biggest outside of everything having to do with Afghanistan right now, because as you know, Steve, the southern border, when mismanaged like it is now, is the greatest transportation hub for narcotics into America from everywhere from South America to Chinese fentanyl to narcotics from Southeast Asia and the opium from Afghanistan.
Now putting the narcotics stuff aside, it's also a national security threat because the terrorist organizations use the Southern border in their trade craft to sneak terrorists into this country.
And they've been caught at the southern border and actually released during the Biden administration's disaster that is the southern border.
So it's a twofold hit to national security.
One, the narcotics that kills tens of thousands of our kids and innocent Americans.
And two, the terrorists that come into America and implant themselves into our community for years at a time.
Sure, so it's fightwithcash.com, straight up.
harm later on the road and we're just letting them walk in.
So those are the two biggest problems with the southern border and it's the reason why it's one of the number one national security threats we face.
steve bannon
Okay, I want everybody to visit the Fight With Cash.
How do people get their cash and what's your social media on top of?
People got to get to know you better.
kash patel
Sure, so it's fightwithcash.com, straight up.
It's fightwithcash.com.
I've got all my media links on there.
You can email us at info at fightwithcash.com.
We've got everything I'm doing as of lately, my pleadings, my cases, and how we're helping Americans and media hits that I do.
You can find out everything I'm doing there, and if you've got it in you to donate to the cause so we can help bring more civil suits against the mainstream media, please check us out over at fightwithcash.com.
steve bannon
Cash Patel was one of the real hammers in the Trump administration.
And I gotta tell you, what's particularly important about him, there are fights and then there are fights that matter.
Cash is able to figure out what's the signal and forget the noise.
Cash, thank you very much for coming on.
Really appreciate it.
kash patel
Thanks so much, Steve.
Really appreciate your time.
steve bannon
Cash Patel.
Okay, we're going to take a break.
We're going to come back.
We have Caroline Serrano has written a great piece that's up on War Room about this whole migration-immigration problem on a global basis, driven by the globalists, that sets the tone, kind of frames the narrative that we're going to have.
Then we're going to go to Mexico to Ben Burquam, the intrepid Ben Burquam.
He's got some very disturbing footage What's happening down there?
We've also got a cold open MSNBC that lets you know the lies of the Biden administration.
They're lying to your face about what's happening with these Haitians.
We're going to get to all that.
We're going to take a short commercial break.
We're going to return to the war room in just a moment.
unidentified
Thanks for watching!
CCP!
Everything's just beginning For the games you want to play Bring it on and I will fight to the end Just watch and see It's all started Everything's begun And you are over Cause we're taking down the CCP Spread the word all through Hong Kong We rejoice when there's no more, let's take down the CCD!
We're gonna take on the world!
steve bannon
Okay, that's a getter ad for those in the podcast or radio that can't hear it.
I want to thank you very much.
Next time I want to ask for the getter ad, let's play the getter ad I'm familiar with.
Okay, I want to bring in now Carolina Serrano.
She's running in the Republican primary in Nevada for the 4th Congressional District.
She's written an incredible piece.
She's written an incredible piece for the War Room about global migration being one of the keys.
And you say in your piece, Carolina, that People running for Congress, people in Congress, should start representing the American people.
What do you mean by that?
unidentified
Just exactly that.
I would say if you look at what's happening at the southern border, I first want to say thank you for having me.
Also, thank you to the agents that were on the horses actually trying to protect the southern border.
That's what you need, is people who actually believe in this country, love this country, and love the citizens of this country.
steve bannon
Okay, hold on, hold on.
I want to start, I want to go right there.
That is the Border Patrol.
They're the hardest working folks out there.
I think it's 80% Hispanic Americans are the Border Patrol.
They're trying to save Texas and the nation from a Mogadishu type of situation, and they're being demonized.
The Biden administration, which is lying to you, and let's put, let's put the Daily Mail next to her.
Do a split screen.
Daily Mail's got the lead story in the Daily Mail, largest newspaper in the world, and a liberal newspaper, saying Joe Biden's lies.
Why does that strike you as the core of what the problem is in this country with this government, Carolina?
unidentified
Because it's, you know, the American people are meant to feel like they're just not good enough.
Whatever they want for their country, if they want to defend their country, they're evil for doing that.
I mean, the people who are coming, who are making the trek through the southern border, that's a tough trek to make.
And they're willing to put it all on the line to come here, and then we're told, and they sense weakness in us, in our government, And we're just told to lay down and take it, and we shouldn't take it.
We don't have to take it.
steve bannon
Okay, talk to me about your piece, because you nailed it in your piece about this migrant crisis.
It's a global issue, but it's about the Malays.
unidentified
Walk us through what you had to say.
So it's not just happening here in the United States, but it's happening everywhere.
I also grew up in Columbia.
I have a lot of family down in Columbia, and it's kind of the same process there.
They're set to receive about 5,000 Afghans, and How does the government look at their people, knowing that there's no jobs, the economy's in the tank, and they're still gonna put on 5,000 additional refugees, call them, and they have totally different cultures, they don't speak the same language, and they just throw this on the people who suffer the most.
Like you said, it's all of us that go to work every day, that are middle class, working class, we're the ones that pay the price of all of it.
And it's happening not just in the United States, but everywhere.
Yeah, but hang on a second.
steve bannon
When you start putting out proposals like this and policies like this, it's like on the CR and the debt ceiling.
The first thing they're going to do is going to say, hey, she's a hater.
She's trying to divide the country.
She's picking on immigrants.
They're the strength of the country.
All of that.
What's your response to that?
Because they're going to come and target you now that you're stepping up and trying to be one of the leaders in this movement.
unidentified
I don't care.
And I think that the American people, it shouldn't just be myself, somebody that's running for office or people who are already in office saying this.
The American people, they say it on the ground.
I hear it all the time from my coworkers, from people that I work with.
And we have to be unafraid to say it and to be proud of our country.
Defend it like it's our home because it is our home.
And it's the last thing that we have.
steve bannon
Tell the audience a little bit about yourself.
Why would you step out right now in this volatile, heated political environment ecosystem we have where it's all about personal destruction?
Tell us about yourself and why would you step up and try to run for office now?
unidentified
Simply because it's worth it.
This country is really worth it.
I mean, I spent a lot of time in Latin America growing up in Colombia and sometimes people don't understand the context and maybe it's easier to understand Your way of life, your daily way of life will change if this country goes in the direction that it keeps going.
That means, you know, a couple years ago I was in Columbia and it's very typical to walk out of a restaurant here in the United States and be on your phone and be kind of distracted.
I did that in Columbia because I'm used to living here in the U.S.
and I got punched in the face by a homeless man, ended up on the floor, seven stitches in my head.
And this is the stuff that will, this is how the country will continue to change.
I've been working my whole life.
My parents didn't have the money to send me to college.
I put myself through college and now I see what's happening here and I say, I always say, if you lose it, you never get it back.
Ask anyone, anybody who's from Venezuela, Bolivia, any of the other countries.
Once you lose the country, once that social contract that we have that's so unique in the U.S.
is gone, we can't get it back.
steve bannon
Look, Nevada's a key state for the MAGA movement.
Tell us a little bit about Nevada IV.
What are the top one or two issues that folks there are focused on?
unidentified
Well, I mean, number one, I would say jobs.
We need to bring back different industries to Nevada.
And the other one is immigration.
And I spearheaded Latinos for Trump in the last cycle.
I had a lot of Hispanics that came and volunteered for the president's campaign.
And they tell me all the time how they're working in warehouses where hundreds of illegals are employed by agencies around the city that knowingly hire them illegally and then put them to work.
steve bannon
Latinos and Hispanics, this is our point on the show, they support us when we have tough immigration laws and we're focused on the economy and getting American citizens high paying, high value added jobs.
They're with us, correct?
unidentified
100%!
Because like I said, they come here because in the United States you are able to open a business and you can be sure that your community is safe and nobody's going to come and ask you for a cut of your profits.
It's not like that in other countries and so we come here wanting that and You know, craving that.
And the more we see the open border happening and the more that we see that they're just letting anybody into this country, they're letting the drugs into this country, and people really need to stop romanticizing the fact that every single person that's coming across the border is just a good, hardworking person.
There's a ton of other people in that crowd that's not good and that will make our communities less safe.
steve bannon
Okay, how do people track you on social media?
What's your social media?
And how do they get to your campaign site to find out more about you?
unidentified
Campaign site is carolina4congress.com.
And then on Getter, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, it's carolina4NB, carolina4, number four, NB for Nevada.
And then Facebook is Carolina for Congress.
steve bannon
Carolina Serrano, thank you so much for joining us.
By the way, the piece is fantastic.
We're going to get up on all the platforms again.
unidentified
Thank you.
steve bannon
To put another push on.
It's just incredible.
Thank you so much for writing for us.
unidentified
Thank you.
I appreciate it.
steve bannon
Looking forward to having you back on the show.
Okay, we're going to take a short commercial break.
We're going to come back.
We're going to go to the border.
We've got Ben Burquam trying to track down Todd DeBesma.
We've also got Patrick Phillip, right?
Or Phillip Patrick.
Phillip Patrick from Birch Gold.
We're going to talk about the debacle That is this spending bill and the capital markets impact of saying no to increasing the debt ceiling.
All of it.
We've got Darren Beatty.
Second hour is going to be as packed as the first.
So strap in.
