Well the virus has now killed more than a hundred people in China and new cases have been confirmed around the world.
So you don't want to frighten the American public.
France and South Korea have also got evacuation plans.
But you need to prepare for and assume.
Broadly warning Americans to avoid all non-essential travel to China.
That this is going to be a real serious problem.
France, Australia, Canada, the US, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, the list goes on.
Health officials are investigating more than a hundred possible cases in the US.
Germany, a man has contracted the virus.
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
Japan, where a bus driver contracted the virus.
Coronavirus has killed more than 100 people there and infected more than 4,500.
anthony fauci
We have to prepare for the worst, always, because if you don't and the worst happens, War Room.
unidentified
Pandemic.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
He needed to unequivocally condemn the attack.
But he also needed to mean those words.
You saw Donald Trump tweet endless attacks, sometimes 108 tweets in a day.
And in public speeches and across rallies, repeating words of fight and stop this deal and never surrender.
You know what it looks like when President Trump wants to convey a message.
Forcefully, loudly and repeatedly he does that.
This video sent after a week of the attack was not that.
And we know this because in this video he again does not show remorse, does not take responsibility.
He again does not acknowledge his role in the insurrection.
He does not say in that video, for example, everything I said in the months prior went too far.
And he does not say the one sentence that matters.
He does not say the one sentence that would stop future political violence.
The election was not stolen.
He still hasn't said that sentence.
That is why National Guard troops in full body armor still patrol outside.
steve bannon
Okay, welcome to the occupied nation's capital.
Now we know it's occupied.
Quiet, part, out loud, that is Ted Lieu.
It's Donald Trump's struggle session.
That's what the last couple days have been.
You saw this under Mao, this happened under the Bolsheviks, this happened under the Nazis.
You get a struggle session.
They use political, they use military and law enforcement power for distinctly political ends.
Until he says that the election was not stolen, right?
This is going to continue.
This is going to continue.
We're going to bring in Richard Barris in a second.
You're in the War Room.
It's Friday, the 12th of February, the Year of Our Lord 2021, and boy, this year is ripping, ripping through.
It's all... I've never seen anything like it.
Rahim, this is one of the most important, ladies and gentlemen, we specialize in signal not noise.
Of all the madness, of all the stuff they've thrown together, of all the false stuff they put kind of jammed in one place.
This is the tell, and this is why today's defense of the president, the way his lawyers are arguing it, is irrelevant.
They've walked him into a trap, Lindsey Graham and the establishment, and today they're springing the trap.
Two big op-ed in the Wall Street Journal by Aunt Peggy Noonan, clutching her pearls, right?
And you've got Nikki Haley with the lead story.
Tim Alberta who's the scribe for Mitch McConnell and the establishment over Politico.
You've got Nikki Haley making a move, making her move today, saying we've got to cut Trump loose, Trump's a bad guy, he led us down a path, this was wrong, we should have done it earlier.
On the day of his defense starts, Raheem Kassam, and I'm going to bring Richard Barris in, the smartest young pollster out there, but Raheem, this is not even subtle.
Ladies, we'll just make it, gentlemen, we'll just make sure we're going to connect all dots here, this is not even subtle.
They've walked him into a trap, And today they spring the trap.
Wall Street Journal on one hand with Aunt Peggy Noonan, but you got Nikki Haley, who the establishment, and let me just state categorically, Nikki Haley is not going to be the Republican nominee in 2024.
I want to break that fantasy right now.
She's not going to be President of the United States.
She's just not up to the task, okay?
She's not up to the task.
She does not have the gravitas.
She does not have the character.
She does not have the understanding of either the economy, finance, world politics, the way the system works.
She is a complete front for the establishment.
This is where they're coming in today, and they're not subtle about it.
They're springing the trap on Trump today.
Mr. Rahim Ghassan, before we bring in Barris.
raheem kassam
Well, they gave themselves enough rope, and you talk about the trap.
They didn't realize that along the way they were laying traps for themselves as well.
They were just hoping that no one was watching, no one was listening, no one was bothering.
Or at least that we were too dumbfounded by the imagery, that we wouldn't actually listen to the words that Ted Lieu just admitted to.
And I think these are the things that are gonna... Look, will the images hit you in the face?
Yes.
Will some of the witness testimony hit you in the face?
Yes.
But I think when you cut through that noise and you get to what the Democrats are admitting up there, I think it is incumbent upon every single person in this audience to make Ted Lieu famous beyond his wildest dreams today.
Show your friends, show your family, show your colleagues, hey, they just gave away in less than one minute on the Senate floor You gave them enough rope, they hung themselves with it.
They gave the game away.
A politicized use of the military in DC.
steve bannon
And, because remember, this is to purge Trump from the political process, but it's also to cower the deplorables, to cower the MAGA audience so that they just support.
This is why the establishment, once they saw that, they moved with the Nikki Haley.
Nikki Haley rolling in here.
You know, there was a young man that called this back in 2018.
We're going to play this in the next segment.
In 2018, from London, live, in October, when she resigned as ambassador to the United States, or to the UN, six, four weeks or five weeks before the all-important 2018 midterm.
In fact, I probably want to, if you can, this is my comment about that, understanding how the impeachment was hanging there, which nobody figured out.
There was a young man that stood up in London and called her out for exactly what she is.
She's like the Milton character in Paradise Lost.
She's Lucifer.
She's ambitious as Lucifer.
Okay?
I want to go now to Richard Barrett.
Richard, before I get into all the polling and the approvals and all this and the numbers, I want to talk about Nikki Haley.
Your thoughts, observations, comments.
richard baris
Yeah, this is the worst kind of story, Steve, and thanks for having me.
This is the worst kind of story because it gives the impression Nikki Haley was ever for Donald Trump, right?
When she never was.
And she's been touring now for almost a year and a half, the big donor class, and telling them what her plans are.
And we talked to a lot of them, and one in particular standing out because She had been telling everybody that when the time is right, she will break with Donald Trump.
She was trying to straddle the fence.
This is now it.
This is the time.
And she's not getting a great reception, which is something I guess she failed to mention to Politico, that she was basically tossed from a big donor's house that we know and speak to.
And by the way, the personal pitch came from Lindsey Graham to sit and meet with her and talk with her.
steve bannon
Hold it.
Hang on.
Slow down.
Stop.
Hang on.
I don't want to bury the lead.
Rewind that and go through with this big donor.
We're not going to disclose the name of the donor, but Barris is dialed in everywhere.
He's the populist pundit.
He's the pundit for the people.
He understands Magabet and any of the pollsters out there, but he's dialed in everywhere because everybody wants to know what Barris is thinking.
I want to hit the rewind and I want you to walk through that story again with the principal character being the senator from South Carolina, Mr. Lindsey Graham.
Go ahead, sir.
richard baris
Right, so Lindsey Graham is making this pitch for Nikki Haley and he's calling around to people asking if they will meet with her and typically they can get, she can get a meeting with most of these people but at this time these donors are angry and they don't want to sit down with people like Nikki Haley and they figured they wasted a lot of money this last time around.
Well, Lindsey Graham is trying to be the person to reach out, at least particularly this one, and offered his own place in South Carolina to come and meet with her.
And she had already met with them in the past, and others, and told them that she was going to break with Donald Trump.
They basically had this pitch, Steve, that the Republican Party will be better after Donald Trump, that he's bad for the brand, And we're going to act like we support him now, but when the time comes, we're going to make the break.
We'll be a better party for it.
You know, people entertain this stuff maybe a year or two ago.
They don't entertain it now.
They're angry.
So I guess she forgot to mention this to Politico.
They refused to meet with her.
They basically tossed her.
steve bannon
This is, you know, Lindsey Graham, this is the architect of Trump's defense strategy.
These lawyers, I said the other day on this quote to the AP, they were Graham's lawyers.
I said, oh, Graham's lawyers got fired.
No, they didn't.
They just got replaced by these two clowns.
unidentified
Right?
steve bannon
And today you're going to see this feckless, half-hearted attempt to argue the Constitution, everything, after you've had a made-for-TV beatdown where Ted Lieu tells you what the focus is.
Until Trump says that he lost, until he concedes, until he says that it was not stolen, the beatings will continue.
Lindsey Graham walked him into this, right?
Lindsey Graham, this is so obvious, nobody on the conservative side will talk about it, we're explaining it all to you.
We want the entire live chat, hashtag War on Pandemic, we want you out on top of this story today.
Remember, there are no conspiracies, but there are no coincidences.
When Aunt Peggy in the Wall Street Journal clutches her pearls and drops the big op-ed that Trump's terrible, he's awful, he's got to be condemned, and then you've got on the other side, you've got Nikki Haley and her big lead story in Politico.
Why on the day of Trump's defense do you have Nikki Haley as the lead story in Politico?
With Tim Alberta, that didn't write that story yesterday, they've been working on this for a while and they dropped it today of all days.
Making her break.
Okay, let me repeat for all the Nikki Haley fans out there, she will not be the nominee and she's not going to be President of the United States.
I called her out two years ago in London.
We're going to play that in the next section.
I called her out, exactly what she's doing, in October of 2018.
I'm never wrong on this stuff.
So let me repeat, for every donor who wants to pull a checkbook out and write for Nikki Haley, write this down.
Get your number two pencil.
In fact, throw the pencil away and get a pen.
Indelibly, she will not be the nominee and she's not going to be President of the United States.
Hate to break your heart, Nikki, but keep out there, keep up the great work.
Talk about just a traitor, just outrageous to turn on a guy on the day the defense comes up.
Richard, let's talk about some numbers.
Let's talk about Biden and other approvals.
Trump, tell us what you got.
Where do you see things for right now?
richard baris
Yeah, let me quickly mention that CNBC poll, because I get a lot of questions on this.
So this is what I was talking about the last time I was on.
These are panel polls, Steve, and what we have, people don't understand.
steve bannon
But hang on, but hang on.
Talk about the CNBC.
This has had a headline the other day.
62% of, I think, business types approve of Joe Biden.
I mean, screaming headline up there that 62% agree with Biden.
They love him.
They approve of his policies, all that.
That was the headline, right?
richard baris
Higher than Barack Obama.
Higher even than Barack Obama.
This idea that Joe Biden, I mean people really have to put this in perspective, this idea that Joe Biden would somehow be this transcendent figure who is more popular than Barack Obama, it's ludicrous and really should give people an idea how badly the polling industry is struggling right now.
And all these panel polls that we've been seeing, and we were talking about YouGov specifically last time, but they're not alone.
And this is another one.
When COVID struck and all the political class got stuck at home on their Zoom calls, doing their job for full pay at half the rate, they got bored.
And a lot of these people just joined consumer panels because they were rabidly anti-Trump.
Four years ago, the panels actually leaned to conservative and we would have to wait more favorably to Hillary Clinton when we pulled the presidential race.
Fast forward four years and these panels were just flooded with liberals.
And the reverse is true.
So people have to keep that in mind.
And by the way, all of the vendors who they get these responses from, they all know it.
And they're using the response bias coupled with the flooding of these panels to basically inflate this man's numbers.
His approval rating the last time we did it was 48%.
The country is very polarized.
And just because Republicans are no longer picking up the phone or no longer responding to online surveys at the rate they were two, three months ago, which was already low, doesn't mean Joe Biden's approval rating is through the roof.
They're using known industry issues to inflate it.
And they're doing it on purpose at this point.
There's just no other explanation.
steve bannon
Can you hang over through the break?
We just want to keep you for a few minutes.
I know you're jammed today, but I just got to ask you.
unidentified
Sure.
steve bannon
You're saying that right now you say to 48% he has no political capital.
This is the reason he's doing executive orders and not legislation.
We've got 30 seconds.
You're saying right now he's at 48% approval.
richard baris
Yeah, he is 48% the last time we polled it, which was not even two weeks ago, where we're on six days since we're out of the field.
The highest we've had him is 52%.
And that didn't really surprise us, not having that much political capital.
This country is very divided.
It is very difficult for a non-Obama-like figure to approach 60%.
Very difficult.
steve bannon
Okay, we're taking a short commercial break.
We'll return with Richard Barris.
We've got Steve Cortez.
We are jammed today.
Matt Brainerd.
We've got Dr. Maria Ryan.
Dr. Saad.
We're talking about the parasitic mind.
Looking at Cuomo and Newsom.
Other fronts are opening up.
Be not afraid.
In a moment, we'll return.
War Room Pandemic.
unidentified
War Room Pandemic with Stephen K. Banham.
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
War Room.
Pandemic.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
What is your reading of Nikki Haley?
Why did she give up and what will she do?
steve bannon
I think the timing of it is very suspect.
For the first time, you know, I've been out with these Congressional House races.
If President Trump, I've called this now for many months, to be his first re-elect.
If he loses the House of Representatives, he will be impeached.
They will bring impeachment hearings immediately.
And so it's imperative that we keep the House.
unidentified
We've finally started to get... You cannot... virtually every pollster would tell you, possibly including your own polls, that that looks highly unlikely.
steve bannon
It was, but remember it was, we went from 60 seats down for Blue Wave to 50 to 40.
I think right now it's in the range of 25 to 30, which means we have a very narrow gate.
We're going to lose 20 seats regardless, but to get to that 23, there's a very narrow gate you have to go through, but it's doable.
The Kavanaugh hearings gave us traction for the first time to try to, against all odds, just like in 16, to try to close strong and try to save it by a seat or two.
Nikki Haley's timing was, I think, horrific because it reinforced, I think, with the Republican women that Donald Trump's somebody you don't want to back.
unidentified
And do you think Nikki Haley was therefore aiming herself to be president ultimately?
steve bannon
I think Nikki Haley is incredibly politically ambitious.
I would say ambitious as Lucifer, but that's probably a... I'm probably taking Milton out of context on that.
But she's very ambitious and very talented.
unidentified
Do you think she could challenge Trump in the primaries?
steve bannon
I think, I take Nikki Haley at her word that it's not 2020.
I think she's going to go out and make some money.
I just think the timing, everything that she said yesterday and everything about her stepping That was October 6th, was it?
October 8th.
October 8th, 2018, ladies and gentlemen.
This is why I'm not wasting your time here.
Was that a called shot?
About we're going to lose the house?
How are we going to lose it?
It was going to impeach him and Nikki Haley.
Remember Milton's Paradise Lost, for those of you that don't remember that from college or high school.
The protagonist is Satan, is Lucifer, right?
It's his ambition.
It's his ambition that lead the rebel angels to the pit of hell, right?
In the revolt against God and Christ.
And what does he say?
Better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven.
Nikki Haley is ambitious as the character in Paradise Lost.
She's ambitious as Lucifer.
She turned on Trump in October with a five-week run-out to tell Republican women, I'm not with this guy.
You tell me you couldn't wait to resign from the United Nations a couple, four or five weeks?
Do it on the evening of?
No, had to do it beforehand.
I'm not with this guy.
Remember they had him make a big deal by getting him down to the Oval Office.
And today, ladies and gentlemen, she made her move.
Made her move.
The day after Ted Lieu lays it out there, he has not conceded.
Until he concedes, you are domestic terrorists.
Anybody that believes in the Trump movement, MAGA, the deplorables, we're going to billboards up the lives of others.
I want your neighbors telling local authorities he had a red ball cap on.
I saw that he had a MAGA cap on.
raheem kassam
And by the way, if any Hollywood celebrity dares tell you about that, about the lives of others, then they're cancelled too.
steve bannon
They're cancelled too.
We're going to have the Parasitic Mind author, Dr. Sad, on here later in the show to talk about the firing over at Lucasfilms at Disney.
Okay, I want to turn now back to Richard Barrett.
The great Steve Kortes, who also is prophetic in all this, is going to join us here in a second.
But Barris, I want to go back to you about, okay, so Biden is a very divided nation.
One of the reasons it's divided, which they can't get through their heads, we want to heal the nation.
Come forward and let's talk about what happened in November 3rd.
We're not giving it up.
We're not going to back down.
We're not going to give it up because this is central to this republic going forward as a constitutional republic.
So we're not going to back down.
I don't care if you take us off Twitter.
We're not going to do it because history is going to judge us as being on the right side of this.
Richard Barris, talk about approval ratings, and particularly President Trump after going through this beatdown, which it has been, of this TV fantasy they've been putting up for the last couple days, sir.
richard baris
So, two and a half days in the field, we have a little bit of time still, but you read the tea leaves.
Republicans aren't budging, that's not happening.
So you're going to see these media polls, MSNBC will put them up, we saw them in the first impeachment, 20% of Republicans support impeachment, 22%, right now it's 9%.
About the amount that he lost in November anyway, so we're not seeing any movement there.
Independents, we saw this too in the first impeachment, they shift back and forth.
So, as the production news makes their move and makes their hit, it has a short to midterm impact, and then it sways back.
It may even start by the time we're out of the field.
We'll take about five or six days, we'll see.
But right now, there's no movement with Republicans.
Democrats have always wanted to remove him.
He's barely had any room for, he's had upward potential there with Democrats.
It's the independents.
And right now it's a little bit upside down.
We'll see where it ends up.
steve bannon
OK, but the takeaway here is is is Biden no political capital under 50 percent as you pull it right now.
You're doing additional work.
Trump will have to see how it turns out, but may take a hit here unless there's some some strong defense here.
I want to go real quickly.
The second front in the resistance to the Biden administration, ladies and gentlemen, the second front, the Russian front.
is in California.
That's where we've been all over this story in the background.
It's going to come to the forefront starting over this weekend.
The second front opens in California because all the disaster that California's turned into is what they visit on the United States and it's all Biden's policies.
This is all policy.
Where is Gavin Newsom?
By the way, people should remember, I'll talk about this with Cortez, in March of last year, a couple weeks from now, but basically a year ago, let's go back in time, connect some dots here, The three top politicians in the nation, Donald J. Trump, Andrew Cuomo, and Newsom, by polling all mid to high 50s.
I think Cuomo may have been in the low 60s.
All three.
President Trump, all the polling shows, it was the handling of the COVID that was the big problem.
Trump, Cuomo, who knows where that's going to go.
There could be investigations, there could be indictments, it could be everything of this disaster just come up in the last 24 hours about the nursing homes, which Cortez and others were telling us about a year ago.
And now Gavin Newsom going to be recalled.
What about, real quickly, what about Gavin Newsom's polling?
Where does that stand?
This is real, this recall, right?
richard baris
Yeah, he's hurt.
It's real.
In 2018, I mean, California's a heavy lift for Republicans, but we pulled it in 2018.
We pulled a governor's race, and we pulled Newsom's approval several times.
We've never had him below 50, and it is not uncommon for him to be in the mid to high 50s.
Right now, he fell with it.
He's below 50 for the first time ever.
and it's about 46.5%.
He's got a white base, that's a liberal white base, Steve.
But the only one racial category that has a strong, still, approval of him is black and African-Americans.
The biggest hit we saw him take is Hispanics, which is now 16.7% strongly approved.
That's it. 16.7%.
Somewhat approved is 33%.
So that's what's doing it.
Native Hawaiian, I mean, California's a fun state to poll because there's so many groups, but Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, they can't stand them right now.
It's incredible.
One of the most supportive groups, you know, for two years.
steve bannon
Future of the Republican Party, future of the MAGA movement is down in the Rio Grande Valley.
Working class Hispanics, and guess where?
In California, okay?
The second front's about to open.
Richard Burrus, how do people get to you?
You're a rock star.
How do people get to you?
richard baris
They can still find me on Twitter, at People's Underscore Pundit, but I've been on Locals quite a bit these days.
So, at People's Pundit on Locals.com.
And they can watch the show, Inside the Numbers, on YouTube, People's Pundit Daily's YouTube channel.
steve bannon
And what time is the show on?
richard baris
It's about to be on in 30 minutes.
I wasn't going to pitch it because you're still on at that time.
steve bannon
That's okay.
We don't mind.
People, cut two screens off.
Watch Barris listen to us.
Thank you very much.
raheem kassam
Thank you, Richard.
steve bannon
You're a rock star.
there's a lot of air on the left thank thank you richard your for your rock star all that has Cortez, I had to do that.
California, Hispanic, 16.5%, strong approval of Gavin Newsom.
The prophetic Steve Cortez that has preached the gospel of working class people, this is about class, it's not about racial identity, and the people that are the savviest and smartest right now at the forefront are Hispanic working class.
Dude, I'm telling you, it's all in front of us.
We just delivered on those policies that sold it.
The second front in this is California, and it's opening up.
This is going to be a massive battle, and we're going to bleed out the Biden administration in California.
steve cortes
Steve, this is why I keep telling the deplorables out there, okay?
Don't be despondent, okay?
All of us are understandably very upset that Joe Biden is the President of the United States right now because we do not believe that he won the legal vote.
But I'm also trying to tell the deplorables out there and all the patriots that our movement is young.
We are just getting started with this populist nationalist movement that is going to dominate American public life for decades.
And one of the main reasons I believe that is because of what we're seeing among Hispanics.
And you're so right.
Let's talk California and talk data.
In Los Angeles County, which is by far the biggest county in America, 10 million people, it's about twice as big as Cook County, the second biggest county.
In Los Angeles County, President Trump gained a half million raw votes 2020 versus 2016, and he gained on margin, because Joe Biden gained raw votes too, of course, but he gained on margin.
4% on margin in the deeply blue, highly diverse Los Angeles County.
Another county, Imperial County, very different from L.A.
County.
Imperial County is on the border in the southeast corner of the state next to Arizona and Mexico.
In Imperial County, President Trump gained 10% on margin.
Highly Hispanic, gritty, working-class place.
Of course, we see that, and you and I have talked about it a lot on the show, all along the border, literally from the Pacific Ocean all the way to the Gulf of Mexico.
The gains among Hispanics, In working class, highly Hispanic areas of the border region from the Rio Grande Valley, they were just astounding.
They were seismic gains in only four years.
When we combine that with what we see going on with a non-Mexican Hispanic population in Florida, that tells me that the Hispanic, finally, what Republicans have really dreamed about and talked about for decades is finally happening.
Hispanics are becoming Republicans.
Why?
Because of the working class, America first, economic nationalist cause.
Donald Trump championed it and Hispanics are rallying toward it.
steve bannon
It's something the Democratic Party doesn't even want to address.
They don't want to talk about it.
They don't want to think it's serious because it scares them to the core of their being.
That's why the California recall is going to be the second front in this fight against Biden.
Yes, it's a fight.
It's a fight against Biden.
We're going to color inside the lines, but man, we're going to color boldly, okay?
That second front is opening up even as we speak.
We're going to turn in a second with Steve Cortez, get his Ideas and concepts about the pearl-clutching Aunt Peggy Noonan, and one and only, ambitious as Lucifer, Nikki Haley, when we return on War Room Pandemic.
unidentified
War Room Pandemic with Stephen K. Bannon.
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
War Room Pandemic.
Forcefully, loudly and repeatedly, he does that.
Ron DeSantis, Abbott, these governors, we've got to get to the bottom of this.
It must be an investigation.
If this is what they're doing, why are we sending National Guard troops up to?
Unless they can show this.
This is outrageous.
This is outrageous.
This is all going to be part of the lawsuits against Twitter and all these guys.
They said the quiet part out loud.
This is communist-type, totalitarian dictatorship-type use of military force against a free citizenry, right?
This is what this is about.
And right now this is in courts.
The Senate in Arizona is trying to jail the Maricopa County.
They're fighting back and forth there.
They're fighting back and forth.
They're still up in Michigan.
They've got things going on in Georgia.
The Supreme Court still... This is being fought all over the country.
People are still drilling down on this stuff.
In state legislatures, with investigative committees, in courts, in courts of law.
It's the way the system is supposed to work, right?
And you're sitting there saying you're going to continue this?
There must be a massive investigation of this and the Attorney Generals and the Red States and the Governors and DeSantis and Abbott have done such a great job, Gabby, at the forefront of this.
Why were your citizens required to come to Washington D.C.?
What's this about?
We've got Cortez, I want to bring Cortez in here, but Rahim, what have you got?
raheem kassam
Firstly, this has to stop now.
These barriers have to come down immediately.
Given what Ted Lieu has just admitted to, there can be no other way of doing this.
Bring down that wall right now.
Right now.
Today.
No more politicization.
steve bannon
Joe Biden, tear down this wall.
raheem kassam
And let me tell you something.
I don't know how the process works.
But I suspect there will be a lot of members of the Guard who are now reporting to their Inspector Generals or however that works.
There has to be a feedback, hey, we are not the political shock troops, they will be saying, of the Democrat Party.
steve bannon
If a free man or woman in the United States has on their Facebook, and they still think this thing was stolen, and it's still in the courts, and there's still evidence out there, they're supposed to be now thrown out of the National Guard, and they can't come up here?
This is outrageous.
Steve Cortez, your thoughts, sir?
steve cortes
...of those thousands of brave troops.
Not their fault, of course, that they're being used as political props.
The miles and miles of walling and barbed wire is all part of this grand process that the Democrats and the corporate media are engaging in right now.
It is a campaign to demonize dissent.
They want to say that if you have skepticism about the election, if you are willing to provide evidence out there, your evidence-based reasons why the election results are not valid, not just that you're wrong on the facts, but that you are to be dismissed from American public life, that you may very well lose your job, and what they're even trying to do if they were to get a conviction, which is highly unlikely of President Trump, is they want to actually criminalize it.
So we need to realize that's what's really on trial here.
It's not so much Donald Trump.
Yes, they do want to neuter him because of his political magnetism and because of how important he is for the America First movement.
But even more than that, they want to make our movement impossible going forward.
They want to demonize, vilify, and possibly even criminalize the idea of political dissent And they're doing it through legal means, but they're also doing it through the shock and awe tactics of turning Washington, D.C.
into an armed encampment, even though there is no credible threat to justify even an inkling of the kind of force that is being shown in the nation's capital right now.
steve bannon
And have you seen your elected officials or Republicans up here say anything about this?
This is what Nikki Haley wants to lead.
Let's talk about Peggy Noonan, Aunt Peggy, Pearl Clutching in the Wall Street Journal, and Nikki Haley.
Those are not random events, are they, Mr. Steve Cortez?
steve cortes
Not at all.
Look, this is clearly the Washington political.
steve bannon
Okay, we just lost Cortez.
Can we get that back up?
What's the problem?
Mr. Rahim Kassam.
raheem kassam
Let me bring it back to this as well because Nancy Pelosi in the middle of last year demanded an investigation into President Trump's use of the National Guard.
When Washington DC, across all of its quarters, was under siege by Black Lives Matter, when businesses had their Front doors boarded up for days on end when St.
John's Church was set on fire, when there was an occupation of Lafayette Square and the President deployed the National Guard.
He resisted at first, remember, and then deployed the National Guard after a long, long time of Washington D.C.
being under repeated nightly siege.
They were marching through people's residential neighborhoods.
You know, if we don't get no justice, you don't get no sleep.
They were terrorizing families in Washington D.C.
They were accosting people in restaurants.
They were putting businesses out of business.
And Nancy Pelosi asked for an investigation into why the National Guard was deployed in Washington D.C.
last summer.
Now, now, Ted Lieu makes the stunning, stunning, let me remind you this is America in the year 2021 and a political party has just admitted from the Senate floor that they are using the National Guard as a means by which to put the former president through a struggle session.
To get him to say a sentence that he doesn't believe is real, that 80 million people in the country and more don't believe is real, that they won't even hear the evidence of, and that the media will diagnose you as a terrorist as a result of making the broad assertion of.
steve bannon
Steve Cortez, you back with us?
Rahim Ghassan I think sums it up succinctly.
What about Aunt Peggy and Nikki Haley in this move?
steve cortes
She is a clever wordsmith, but she's also the diarist for the demagogues of the ruling class in America.
I mean, specifically the permanent political class, as well as the corporate media.
In this op-ed that she put out today, I thought this was the most telling quote.
She said, quote, and this was regarding the impeachment manager's presentation.
She said, quote, Journalists were riveted.
Okay, now I have no doubt that could very well be true, that Congress and the mainstream media, they probably were riveted with the presentation.
You know who probably was very uninterested and not riveted at all?
Our regular working class people in this country.
You know, I like to talk about waitresses and welders out there.
If we look at a waitress who's out of work because in her state there are draconian lockdown restrictions You know, I think not.
who have the full support of President Biden right now.
Do you think that they're terribly interested in this second sham impeachment of Donald Trump in just over a year?
Or if we were to talk to a welder who has just been put out of work because of the executive orders attacking American energy by President Biden, do you think they find any solace in watching impeachment managers like Ted Lieu on the screen?
You know, I think not.
So Peggy Noonan is unfortunately channeling what is the belief of the Acela Corridor set in New York newsrooms and K Street, Washington, D.C.
lobbyist offices that works very well for their self-interest to the detriment of regular working class Americans?
steve bannon
What do you think?
What about this timing?
You got the Peggy Noonan of it all.
What about the timing on the morning that we're about to have President Trump's defense?
And they've said yes last night.
And I think Jason Miller, they're only going to use one day.
They're not even going to use the second day.
They're going to lose all that air time on broadcast TV.
Although it is a Saturday, it's still time.
They're not even going to do a second day.
They just want to get in and out.
And I heard now it could be a couple hours.
So, and we know from Richard Barris, he talked about Lindsey Graham trying to set her up with hedge fund guys to go make her pitch that, hey, at the appropriate time, at the right time, I'm going to make my break with Trump.
Hey, there ain't nothing random about this.
On the morning of the defense, it's the lead story by the top reporter for McConnell, Tim Alberta, writes it, Nikki Haley makes her move.
Mr. Steve Cortez.
steve cortes
Nikki Haley is clearly making her move.
Look, she is a soulless political operative.
She's the political version of a weathervane.
And what I mean by that is whichever way she believes the political wind is blowing for her, or she believes she can get a tailwind, that is the direction in which she points.
I thought this article was really reprehensible.
It represents the worst of Nikki Haley.
She's somebody who believes, somehow, that she can both please corporate boardrooms, remind the audience out there that she was on the board of Boeing, and at the same time, somehow earn the support of working class Americans.
That is an impossibility.
It's something that the corporate media believes in, but it's not something that is actually doable in the reality of the 2020s America First Republican Party.
And the reason I bring up Boeing specifically, by the way, is I think that company is very fascinating because it's really at the nexus of two massive problems that the America First movement revolted against.
One is this idea that most large companies believe in, of corporatist globalism, of exporting American labor overseas, which works very well for CEOs of multinationals, but decimated American communities.
But then also, the other intersection here is Boeing, of course, benefits as much as any company in America from endless war, from the constant interventions which marked the predecessors to President Trump, both Bush and Obama.
America first revolted against both of those very wrongheaded policy agendas against endless wars and against economic globalism.
Nikki Haley represents the personification of ambition, as you've been talking about, but also a retreat, a retreat backward to the 2015 and prior era of establishment GOP politics.
The only problem is she has a constituency In corporate boardrooms and in Washington, D.C.
and in New York newsrooms, she has no constituency out there in America.
The party has been transformed into an America First Workers Party.
And to put numbers on that, according to NBC News polling, they asked Republicans their approval of Donald Trump back in October before the election.
Approval was 89%.
They also polled on January 13th of this year.
That was the day he was impeached.
His approval was 87%.
It had hardly moved at all.
This remains an America First party.
It remains a pro-Donald Trump party.
And Nikki Haley, for all her Machiavellian maneuvering, has no role, no leadership stake.
steve bannon
Just lost Steve again, right when he was hitting the punchline.
Okay, some technical problems there.
We're going to take a short commercial break and we'll come back with Matt Brainerd.
Part of this today is how you get engaged.
Action, action, action.
We've got Dan Schultz coming in the second hour.
Going to bring him in.
By the way, the mainstream media is already all over this, or the left-wing media is all over Dan Schultz.
effort to remake the Republican Party with the deplorables.
Rahim, Nikki Haley and just the timing of those two pieces given everything else going on, you've got about a minute, your thoughts? Well I think it's premature in the sense that I'm not sure this was always the plan.
raheem kassam
I think a lot of what the establishment is doing now is panicking in the wake of a lot of the Lincoln Project staff realising that they don't have the air cover of certain types.
Personally, I think it's a magnificent thing to see what's happening to the Lincoln Project, not obviously what happened to the victims.
steve bannon
Is that in full meltdown right now?
raheem kassam
Do you know what?
It's the best soap opera going right now.
It is.
Watching these people ripping each other apart because they're all liars, because they all hid information, and now the circular firing squad begins within the Lincoln Project.
That is a beautiful thing to watch because guess what these people thought?
They thought if we just love Joe Biden enough, they'll leave us alone.
Nobody likes you.
The left doesn't like you!
The right doesn't like you!
Go away!
steve bannon
Okay, short commercial break.
We'll return with Raheem's thoughts.
I want to drill down more on the Lincoln Project.
Also, Matt Brainerd is going to talk about how you can get involved.
We'll return in just a second.
unidentified
War Room.
Pandemic.
With Stephen K. Bannon.
The epidemic is a demon, and we cannot let this demon hide.
War Room.
Pandemic.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
steve bannon
Nancy Pelosi wanted investigations, right, Rahim, when this was all taking place in the summer of 2020, the early summer of 2020?
What, we need to have an investigation?
I don't know why the elected officials up on Capitol Hill, that everybody in this audience has rung the doorbells for, given the money for, you know, shown up, done voter outreach, voter turnout, all of it, it's crickets up there.
You got Ted Lieu talking about the struggle sessions of Uh, you know, of the deplorables, what they're going to do until Trump concedes.
He's never going to concede.
The reason is we haven't come to some sort of understanding of what happened.
This is why it's imperative, imperative, imperative for the president's lawyers to take all 16 hours, the same amount of time that the prosecution had to go.
It's called wash, rinse, repeat, wash, rinse, repeat.
If you looked at it over the last couple of days, that's what they're doing.
They understand information warfare.
They understand how to seep it in there.
These are smart, tough people.
We've got to be just as smart, just as tough.
And now we know from Richard Barris tells you, hey, Lindsey Graham's been making introductions to let Nikki Haley go down, talk to big donors.
She's going to make her break at some time, right?
Lindsey Graham's doing it.
Lindsey Graham, the architect, he's the running dog for Mitch McConnell's entire process.
This is not hard.
This is not complicated.
And you're going to see the president get walked into the trap today.
Right?
raheem kassam
Mr. Rahim, just a little observation here.
So I have these phone calls with the members who sign up, right?
And two of them, I talked to two of them yesterday, and both seem to kind of tell me that they didn't realize that actually Clicking on links and taking actions and all of that was quite as important.
They understand it was important, but quite as important, not just for the existential part of why we're here and growing the show and all of that, but actually to make the legislators take actions.
steve bannon
They can.
raheem kassam
And I think people sometimes, you know, They will click a link, or they will send an email, and that'll be it.
But when we look at why, perhaps, Nancy Pelosi will call for investigations last year, but there hasn't really been a peep from Republicans on the Hill as to this, is they're not feeling the pressure yet.
And it doesn't have to be aggressive.
It can just be If 50 people get in touch with Congressman whatever from wherever district in a day, that's a lot to them.
steve bannon
That gets their attention.
raheem kassam
That gets their attention.
steve bannon
Well, Ted Lieu said the quiet part out loud, we're going to be all over it now.
Now it's all clear, right?
We've been saying this, but he came forward and you can see the moves of the establishment, you see the moves of Nikki Haley, you see what Lindsey Graham's doing, you're going to see this feckless defense today.
Let's bring in Brainerd.
raheem kassam
but just a quick thing, I just want to make sure, people need to develop a full-time relationship with their representatives and it doesn't even matter if it's not reciprocated have that relationship on your end, every single time you see something you want to bring to their attention, hammer them, bring it to their attention hammer them this is why this audience is so engaged, this is why this audience is so powerful, we just present the facts, you guys take the action, okay uh... Matt Brainerd one of the top guys in the Ren Digital Forest
steve bannon
Great work on finding the receipts on how this election was stolen.
Matt, you want to solve this problem.
You're running training sessions.
Tell everybody about it.
unidentified
Right, and it jumps off of exactly what he was talking about.
We're going to train an army of activists to go after their state legislatures and even county governments to fight for integrity reform.
Because look at America, we've released policy objectives that solve all the problems that we had in the 2020 general election.
The problem is we need to apply political pressure to state legislatures and county level governments to make these reforms.
And you know, there are a lot of people looking at this program right now wondering, well, how do I do that?
We are going to train people at Look Ahead America to give them the knowledge on exactly the steps to take and how to organize among themselves.
And that training session is this Thursday, February 18th at 8 p.m.
Eastern.
And I invite everyone to sign up for it at lookaheadamerica.org because, you know, we've got to get our people trained and engaged to not just put pressure on congressional members in D.C., but especially at the state legislative level because that's a place where we have a lot of power on the patriotic side.
We still have a lot of leverage.
In over half of the states and I think the solutions that we need can many of them can be found and implemented there.
steve bannon
If we had this before, Donald Trump would be in the White House right now.
It was at the state legislature.
We can understand this from day one.
You can't depend upon the Supreme Court.
The fantasy of the Supreme Court and the fantasy of the Insurrection Act are fantasies.
It's at the state legislature.
That's what the Constitution says.
That was the whole thing with Pence.
Revert it back to them and let them deal with this logic.
Once again, tell people it's next Thursday night.
Tell people how they get there and what they're going to get.
unidentified
We're going to, in two and a half hours, we're going to have a dense six lectures on everything from how to organize your neighborhood, how to go after your county representatives, how to go after your state representatives, how to talk to them, and how to develop messaging.
And that's this Thursday, 8 p.m.
You can register for it at lookaheadamerica.org.
It's completely free, and I hope everybody can make it, and we'll give you the tools you need and the organization you need to make the kind of reforms we need to restore voter integrity in this country.
steve bannon
Okay, make sure, what are your coordinates right now, Matt?
unidentified
Lookaheadamerica.org is how they will find us.
steve bannon
Okay, fantastic.
Thank you very much for joining us, and thank you for hitting your marks today.
unidentified
Thank you for having me.
steve bannon
We're going to have the Parasitic Mind author on next.
More important than ever now, and I'm not a guy who likes chasing Hollywood stories, although cultures upriver from politics.
A lot of that is noise and a lot of other people chase these stories, but there's something deep, deeply, deeply wrong.
And I think his book is one of the ways to get back to this.
Where did we stand this morning, Rahim, real quickly before the defense day?
It doesn't seem to be kind of any organized effort.
You don't see any messaging coming out about what the attack, for weeks.
The best thing I've seen is the thing you played last night.
We're going to try to play that later in the show.
That's still the best thing I've seen.
Have you seen any organized effort to put forward the Trump case?
raheem kassam
Yeah, and just as a thing, I wanted to make sure that, I mean, yesterday I referred to the creator of that as an interwebs memesmith.
I just wanted to make sure that I went back and credited.
It was an account called A6Films on Twitter, a really cool meme account.
that created that and and in a lot of ways it goes back to what Matt was just saying right the the effort is not being made by the the so-called leaders of this movement and that includes the president's lawyers I'm afraid in this regard the effort is being made at the grassroots level and that's why what Matt's doing is so important in the training sessions and it's what why these meme makers what they're doing is so important quite frankly I never thought I'd say that sentence It's what Dan Schultz and Matt Brainerd are talking about, an army of activists.
steve bannon
And remember, the left-wing media is already on top of you.
They're not going to let this... If you think you're just going to go sign up and they're going to let it go, they're not.
They already understand what's happening here as an army of activists get motivated.
Because once the deplorables are motivated, they cannot be stopped, okay?
We're going to take a short break, get into the second hour.
Export Selection
