| To rely on America's energy instead has forever and a day been the game. | |
| Over the long run, you simply want to change the structure of energy dependence. | |
| You want to depend more on the North American energy platform, the tremendous bounty of oil and gas that we're finding in North America. | |
| You want to have pipelines that don't go through Ukraine and Russia. | |
| For years we've tried to get the Europeans to be interested in different pipeline routes. | |
| It's time to do that. | |
| It's been done! | |
| Not by persuasion, not by diplomatic sweat, but by sanctions and by veiled violent threat. | |
| Democrats, And Republicans both know that Nord Stream 2 is a terrible idea. | |
| It's a terrible idea for Europe, and it's a terrible idea for the United States. | |
| It's a great idea for Europe that saves huge expenditures through contracted, inexpensive gas from Russia. | |
| It's a bad idea for Jumerica that hates to see those nasty Germans aligning with Russia and China in their pending dynamo, the Eurasian economic bloc. | |
| The pipeline can't go into effect. | |

| United States law, passed overwhelmingly by Democrats and Republicans in this Congress, signed into law in the U.S. Code, says anyone who certifies it faces mandatory crushing sanctions from the United States. | |

| Baltic pipe only delivers 2.4 billion cubic meters over a 10-year range. | |
| Divide 2.4 by 10 and Europe is cutting wood for a coon's age. | |
| Could start maybe October or sometime in November with some extra oomph, hopefully with no snafus, December. | |
| Who wins? Schumerka of sorts, which makes Poland a Europe's gas giver. | |
| The rest will be shipped from Schumerka's ports. | |
| Who loses? Germany, France, Italy, Spain, whose industries with beaucoup prices will be fully drained. | |
| Russia does lose lots of gas and euros, but the pipes weren't flowing anyways. |
