| Now, in a letter I obtained to FBI Director Christopher Wray, Comer gave the Bureau a May 30th deadline to respond to that subpoena. | ||
| The letter reads, The FBI has failed to produce the FD-1023 form or offer any reasonable accommodation that would allow the committee to review the document. | ||
| The FBI's gamesmanship in holding a meeting about general CHS confidentiality issues instead of addressing the specific form from the committee's subpoena is unacceptable. | ||
| An FBI spokesman tells Fox News that turning over that document, though, could jeopardize ongoing investigations. | ||
| The bureau says, quote, the FBI's mission is to protect the American people. | ||
| Releasing confidential source information could potentially jeopardize investigations and put lives at risk. | ||
| The FBI remains committed to cooperating with Congress's oversight requests on this matter and others, as we always have. | ||
| Although Comer and the FBI director are set to meet next week, the House Oversight Committee chair says he's still going to hold Ray in contempt of Congress if he doesn't get that document. | ||

| IRS Commissioner DOJ is responsible for whistleblower purge from Hunter Biden tax probe. | ||
| IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel told Congress the Justice Department made the decision to purge an IRS whistleblower from the DOJ's probe into Hunter Biden, according to a letter sent to House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith. | ||
| Werfel's letter on May 17th responded to Smith's May 16th inquiry about the concerns that a high-ranking IRS agent faced retaliation for raising red flags about the investigation. | ||
| Werfel said the decision to remove the whistleblower from the tax investigation at DOJ's direction. | ||

| As a general matter, and not in reference to a specific area, I believe it is important to emphasize that in any matter involving federal judicial proceedings, the IRS follows the direction of the Justice Department. | ||

| And even when Director Wray was asked to come before the committee and did not, we're seeing that the FBI is covering up and refusing to be transparent about then-VP Biden's alleged bribery scheme, and it's unacceptable. | ||
| Chairman Comer has threatened to initiate contempt of Congress proceedings if Director Wray continues to defy our subpoena and Wray's refusal to produce this single document when his whistleblower made clear it exists is obstruction, Benny. | ||
| The American people should be able to see these allegations for themselves, and we need to know what the FBI did to investigate these criminal allegations. | ||
| So fill in for our audience, what does contempt of Congress mean? | ||
| Is it just another slap on the wrist? | ||
| Is it just, you know, we don't like you, na-na-na-na-boo-boo, circle yes or no in the playground? | ||

| Because what does seem, at least from our humble perspective, is that the FBI has the criminal records of the Bidens, and they are hiding them from the American people, and have done so throughout the Trump administration, and now, obviously, the Biden administration. | ||

| But that's again why we need a strong president back in office so we can actually see this all the way through because Biden's DOJ is not very eager to put cuffs on the people who are seemingly very treasonous. | ||

| Who puts their head in the sands when it comes to Hunter Biden and the Biden crime family, but will investigate phony Trump Russia hoaxes when they had no basis and no evidence to even launch a probe. | ||
| So it's really difficult to say what this DOJ, what the FBI, any of them would actually do going forward. | ||
| They are working for the very people that we are trying to hold to account. | ||
| But the FBI, they have failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law. | ||
| Durham, he concluded that this was an illegal Unlawful abuse of government and power. | ||
| And there was absolutely no evidence of collusion between President Trump and Russia with that phony hoax. | ||
| And the report made clear that the FBI should never have even launched an investigation. | ||
| So when you start putting all this together, I mean, Vinny, that is the million dollar question. | ||
| What happens after our investigations? | ||
| We have gavels here. | ||
| We don't have handcuffs. | ||
| The best thing that we can do is expose everything that's happening for the American people to inform them of everything they want to cover up so they can make the real decisions come election time. | ||

| There is a way for, if you're in contempt of Congress, Congress can order your arrest. | ||

That definitely is something that we are working on in the appropriations process as far as defunding parts of the FBI that are woke. | |

| This is something that we made a priority during the speaker's race at the beginning of the year. | ||
| We wanted to go through the appropriations process so we can actually accomplish something. | ||
| Rather than four people working on this big omnibus bill, we're going to work on these appropriations requests to fund the federal government individually. | ||
| We'll have 12 individual appropriations bills that come through and each of them. | ||
| We'll have defunding components to these woke and weaponized agencies. | ||
| I don't think that we'll see the FBI completely defunded in this Congress, but we are seeing how corrupt they are and, frankly, how shady the FBI has acted when they go after some political opponents and protect their allies on their side. | ||
| A lot of this does need to be defunded, reworked, and like you said, absorbed even into other agencies. | ||
| Vinny, the FBI wants a $375 million brand new building. | ||
| I don't think that's something we should be rewarding the FBI with. | ||
