truthradioshow.com Shalom and welcome to the Dan Bedani Show on truthradioshow.com and welcome to the book of Romans chapter In this in-depth comprehensive study, we do chapter by chapter.
So, thank you guys for joining us here, and we do a specific Bible study approach like always.
Very important to understand us, alright?
Because we need to do this every chapter.
So, sorry to sound repetitive, but we need to also always maintain this.
So, number one, pray for wisdom and understanding.
So, let's do that right now.
So, Jesus, Yeshua, Messiah, we come before you.
Thank you so much for everything you're doing.
Thank you for being the atonement of our sins.
Thank you for being the Lamb of God and the Lion of Judah, and thank you so much for everything.
And we ask you, Heavenly Father, to give us divine wisdom and understanding, through the Holy Spirit, to be our divine comforter and to write your word upon our hearts today, in this case of the book of Romans chapter 13.
And we pray for everybody here that's going through any kind of pain, mentally, spiritually, Emotionally, anything like that, and anything they need comforted with, Lord, we ask you in your mighty name, in your will, that you help us, Lord.
And please protect us all from the forces of evil, and thank you for giving your son to us as a gift of salvation.
And especially on this day of atonement coming up, and we ask you to just, you know, I'm sorry, we thank you so much for this, to give your son As an atonement of sin, that whoever shall believe, shall have everlasting life.
In your mighty name, we love you so much.
Thank you so much.
Amen.
And since doing that, guys, what we do is read description context.
And context is key.
Very important to understand this stuff, guys.
Let the scripture also interpret the scripture.
Don't lean on your own understanding.
Let the scripture interpret the scripture, and let the Holy Spirit work through you.
So, if you got a Bible, turn to Romans chapter 13.
It's a very short chapter.
I think it's, uh, 13?
14 verses today.
So, but there's a lot of context in this, okay?
And it would take, what, 30 seconds, maybe?
A minute?
To read through all that?
But again, if you're just joining us, I would actually, first of all, tell you to go read Romans chapter 1.
Watch our video in the playlist there.
We got Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, now Romans here.
So, yeah, again, 14 verses, and by the lot of context.
Context is key.
Plain and simple.
So, verse 1 says, So, what is a higher power?
Right?
We're gonna find out.
Which we know what the higher power is, right?
Like every soul, everybody.
There is no higher, there's no power outside but God.
The powers that be are ordained of God.
So God does put rulers in charge, even sometimes the evil bad people, because God does that for a reason.
Like here in the United States, we have some bad leaders in this country because we're in the God's judgment.
And I don't need to even begin to explain how we're under this judgment because of all the disgust and stuff going on in this country.
Like literally smacking that creator in the face.
But, you know, God puts these people in power for reasons.
So, whoever therefore resists the power, resists the ordinance of God.
The ordinance is like the penalty of God, right?
And they shall resist, shall receive to themselves damnation.
So if you resist an ordinance of God, right, you're going to receive damnation.
Punishment, right?
For the rulers are not a terror to the good works, but to the evil.
Will thou then not be afraid of the power?
So do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same.
So he says the rulers are terror, regardless if they don't do good works or not, you need to do good works, regardless, right?
For he is a minister of God to thee for good.
But though do not, which is evil, be afraid, for he beareth not the sword in vain, for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that does evil.
So if you do good, you don't have to be afraid, okay?
But if you do evil, you very well much have to be afraid, right?
Because you... the sword will be coming upon you.
The wrath of God, right?
So, wherefore, you must needs be subject.
Not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
For four, This cause pay you tribute also, for they are God's ministers, attended continually upon this very thing.
Right?
So, Satan paying some tribute, right?
Now it says also, render therefore to all their dues, tribute to whom tribute is due, custom to whom Custom, right?
And fair to whom?
Fair.
Honor to whom?
Honor, right?
So let's talk about people in different walks of life, then.
Believers and unbelievers, right?
And tribute here is, uh, I don't know if that's pay or not.
Like, yeah, money, whatever the case.
There's nothing wrong with helping out ministries, but we'll also remember that the tithing law was never about money.
That's not what Paul's saying here.
Just wanted to put that out there, because I know a lot of people will be like, oh yeah.
You know, it's funny too, because the modern day churches, I think I mentioned this before during this series, the modern day churches, right, because of the dispensationalism, they'll sit there and say the laws and the Ten Commandments were abolished and all that.
No, they were not.
We proved that over and over again.
And we're going to still continue to prove that over and over again through this New Testament, right?
So, you know, these modern day churches, well, yeah, all these laws were, you know, changed or stopped or whatever the case, right?
But, except for that one little law, the tithing law, right?
Oh, we have to give 10% to the church.
It's a biblical law.
But, it's so funny because they'll keep that one, like their church bank.
They'll keep that one because it brings money into the church.
When it was never about money in the first place.
But again, there's nothing wrong with giving money.
You're not required to do that.
Like on my show here, I got a donation page, right?
You're not required to donate anything.
If you want to donate, and I don't even mention it on the Bible show, I just feel bad doing that.
If you want to donate, yeah, our whole ministry relies around people helping us out, right?
But, if you want to donate, that's up to you.
Do it with your left hand, your right hand, that knows about it, right?
Like Jesus says.
But some churches out there, you have to do this.
And they say it's a law.
You know, the Tithon Law.
Again, the Tithon was never about money.
But again, if you feel reluctant to donate to a ministry, you know, then do it.
Because these ministries, sometimes they cost, actually all the time, they cost a lot of money to run.
Especially online things like this, with shows and everything.
It's a lot of money.
Plain and simple.
So, but again, Paul is, you know, talking about, yeah.
Giving, paying, paying tribute, right?
Because they're God's ministers.
So it keeps the ministry going.
Like today's world, right?
People, street preachers, right?
They need tracks and little things to hand out to people.
That costs money to print.
Now I said, you know, I'm not a street minister, but what I do online stuff, you know, shows and everything else, and it costs money for the streaming service and everything else.
Rental the studio and all that stuff.
So that's why we got that page up there.
So anyway, he said, the Bible says, Oh no man, anything.
But to love one another, for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.
Love is fulfillment of the law, right?
It says, omit nobody nothing.
And that's why it's kind of shady, like I guess, if you take out credit cards, you know, because a lot of ministers are saying that, you know, that, study the Bible, but they always worry about people taking out credit cards, because you owe people money.
In other words, you use that credit card, you're owing money.
So I got a credit card out, and I know some other people do.
I'm not saying that you're bad for having a credit card.
I don't know.
I'm not your judge.
But it is a good thing not to owe money.
It feels good, actually.
When you can say, right now I owe nobody nothing.
That's a good feeling.
Very rare for me, but yeah.
It's a very good feeling.
And verse 9 says, for this, Now, check this out, right?
If these 10 commandments are abolished, why does it continue?
Over and over again, every chapter so far we've read, they mention the commandments!
Right?
For this, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, kill, right?
That's the 7th commandment right there, the 6th commandment.
You shall not steal, that's the 8th commandment.
You shall not bear false witness, that's the 9th commandment.
You shall not covet, that's the 10th commandment.
So you got 6, 7, and 8, and 9, right?
And if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, that thou must love thy neighbors as thyself.
So we talk, this is Jesus' two commandments, right?
Now, people bring this up a lot.
Oh, well, we're supposed to follow Jesus' commandments, not the Ten Commandments.
No, that's not what Jesus said.
And he explains his two great commandments on where, what are they?
They are the two hangers which the laws hang upon, right?
So this one here, to love the neighbor as yourself, right?
That's one of the two of the great commandments of Jesus, right?
And what Jesus said, these are the commandments which the laws hang upon.
So this one in particular, right, is these five commandments.
Number seven, number six, number eight, number nine, and number ten.
So, you got the first... I'm sorry, the last five commandments on this one commandment.
Right?
So, love works no ill to his neighbor.
Therefore, love is fulfilling of the law.
And again, you need to understand, fulfilling of the law is not abolishing it.
Fulfilling is not changing it.
You're fulfilling it.
That means you're continuing it.
A lot of people don't understand that.
Because when Jesus says, I am not here to abolish the law, I'm here to fulfill it.
That's the continuing, because He is fulfillment of that law that was set from day one.
It doesn't go away, it doesn't stop.
But I don't know where people get that when you fulfill something, it means it stops.
No.
In other words, wake up, okay?
Wake up out of your trance, okay?
Wake up out of whatever delusion you're going to.
And our salvation is near every day, guys.
And this goes many ways, right?
We know the signs that have to happen for us after the tribulation comes back, not before.
Right?
But, our salvation is nearer when we believe.
The day of the Lord is at hand.
In other words, right now, yeah, you could probably die tomorrow, God forbid.
Right?
That's your salvation at hand, because you're not going to be here for the tribulation if you die, obviously, right?
Your day of salvation is at hand.
So, if you're not a believer, I would definitely get on your hands and knees and pray to the Lord.
Ask Jesus for forgiveness, knowledge that He's God came in the flesh to shed His blood for our sins.
And we must repent from our sins and follow Jesus.
Keep the faith in Him and keep the commandments of God.
Like Revelation 14, 12, right?
Verse 12, the night is far spent, the day is at hand.
Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
So what does this mean, right?
The night is far spent, the day is at hand, right?
Any day.
Any day, okay?
Something could happen, right?
So, cast off the works of darkness.
How do you do that?
You repent.
Heavenly Father, you know, Jesus, please forgive me for the things I've done.
And now help me turn away, I don't want to do these things no more.
That's repentance.
You will turn away from these things, right?
And let us put on the armor of light.
Now the armor of light, we could interpret it different ways.
And I think that's just the way of Jesus or the Holy Spirit.
Because we know the armor of God in Ephesians talks about spiritually putting on the shield, the sword, and everything else, right?
The helmet of salvation and the sword of truth and everything.
Yeah, so the armor of light, and I think it's just being fulfilled with the Holy Spirit.
And the light of Jesus Christ, right?
Let us walk honestly, as in the day, not in rioting or drunkiness, right?
So don't, you know, when you walk honestly, as in the day, right?
Don't be rioting, which is like fighting everybody and everything else, and be a drunk, right?
Not in the chambering of Watanis, not in the strife of envy.
So I want to see what Watanis is.
So let's see.
Watanis definition.
It's a trait of lack and restraint and control.
Reckless freedom from inhibition or worry, right?
So it's like, you're out of control, right?
So yeah, not in Chamberlain, in Watanase.
So let me see what chamber is.
So let's elicit intercourse, or render in English versions.
All right.
So literally birds speak.
Illicit intercourse.
So that sounds sexual here.
So.
All right.
So that would make sense.
All right.
All right, so, yeah, 'cause it goes on to say, well, so, yeah, So that's uh... Basically, let us walk honest, and as in the day.
Not rioting and drunkenness, right?
Don't be rowdy and drunk, right?
Not in... Illicit intercourse, right?
Like, in other words, sleeping around with everybody, right?
Or whiteness, right?
It's out of control.
Not in strafe or in enmity.
I forgot what strafe means.
See how um...
The Bible, like, and I say this all the time, guys.
If you don't know what a word means, stop what you're doing, please.
That one word could mess up the whole rush.
If you don't understand it.
There's no shame not knowing what something means.
This is the point of a Bible study.
You're not supposed to read through it like a magazine.
This is what a Bible study is.
And if you're in a Bible study in the group, guys, do not be afraid to raise your hand or just say, hey, excuse me, before you go on further, could you explain what strife means?
Envy is like what others have.
It's like covenant, right?
Strife is like conflict, agonism, quarrel, struggle.
You know, it's just like, yeah, going through agonizing and all struggle, right?
So now we know what all this means.
That's what we did again.
Let us walk honestly as in the day, not in riding a drunk, you know, be a rowdy drunk, right?
Not in sexual, you know, like just being sexual perverted in Guantanus, right?
Which is out of control.
Not in, um... The strife there, which is, uh... Agonizing, quarrel... Struggle, clash, uh... Competition-like disagreements.
Like, arguing with people.
And envying things that people have.
So now we got a clear understanding of what this means.
Right?
Because most people just read it over, and they're like, yeah, whatever.
I don't have time for that.
Well, you need to make time when you read the Bible.
I had no shame admitting that I forgot what strife meant.
And I had no clue what these things meant either.
Right?
So there's no shame in doing that.
That's the point of a Bible study.
Again, if you're in a Bible study, I don't care if it's a group, you need to stop them and say, listen, what do these words mean?
Because I'm sure half the group doesn't know what these words mean, right?
But they won't say nothing.
Very important to do this, guys.
No shame in this at all.
Because now we know what this means.
We know what these words mean.
Now we can have a clear understanding of what the Bible is talking about, right?
And it goes on, So, again, the Bible interprets itself, right?
So, I guess what it's saying, right?
Let us put on the armor of white, right?
Let the Bible interpret itself, right?
So I thought it was the Holy Spirit or something, and I kind of think it would be Jesus, but this confirms it right here.
Paul's saying again, put on the Lord Jesus Christ.
That's the armor of light right there.
See why it's important to read in context?
And make not provisions for the flesh, to fulfill the lust thereof.
And we know provisions like supplies and stuff like that, right?
Don't provide, okay, things that are going to make you fulfill the lust thereof, right?
In other words, don't put things in your life that's going to give into temptation and stuff like that, right?
But put on the armor of light, which is Jesus Christ.
See how the Bible interprets itself?
And this is why it's very important to read the Bible in context, because if some pastor gave you this verse, right?
We could sit there all day long trying to figure out what the psalm of the Lord is.
And we already had a clue that it was the Holy Spirit or Jesus Christ, right?
But this here confirms it.
When you read on to the next one, in the next one, you understand.
Now, with these three verses, they help interpret it all, because, you know, it's right there.
Put on the Jesus grace, the Lord Jesus grace, which is the album of light.
And don't make provisions for the flesh to fulfill the lust thereof.
So I hope you all got this, and if you got any questions, comments, or concerns, anything like that, put it in the comments section.
Not the live chat, because when this premieres, there's a live chat going on.
