If you are receiving this transmission, you are the resistance.
The Clarence War on the New World Order, TruthRadioShow.com Shalom and welcome to the Dan Bidani Show at TruthRadioShow.com and welcome to the Book of Acts and Chapter 20 in our in-depth comprehension studies.
So if you missed chapters 1 through 19, especially the last chapter, you really need to go watch the last chapter before you go here because it's a continuation from 19. So very important to understand, guys.
And we do this Bible study approach like always.
Very important to do.
Pray for wisdom and understanding for us.
So let's do that right now.
So Jesus, Yeshua Messiah, we love you so much, Lord.
And please forgive us of all our sins and trespasses, abominations and transgressions.
And we ask you to give us that divine comfort that you promised us to help write your word upon our hearts, Lord.
Heavenly Father, we pray to you and we ask you for divine wisdom and understanding.
And please help anybody out there that's going through any kind of spiritual problems that needs help spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally.
Comfort them, Lord, and hail them as well.
And we ask you to protect us all from the forces of evil.
And we are forever gratitude in your favor, forever in your debt.
We love you so much and thank you for giving your only begotten son to go to Calvary for us, Lord.
And we love you so much.
In your heavenly name, amen.
And that being said, guys, we read the scripture in context because context is key.
Very, very, very important.
And let the scripture interpret scripture.
We don't lean on our own understanding, but let the Holy Spirit work for you.
To write this word upon your hearts.
So, if you've got a Bible, guys, turn to chapter 20 of Acts.
And if you don't, we've got it right here on the screen.
And thank you, ShakeYourWakeRadio.com, for carrying this on your audio edition.
So, those people on Shake Your Wake, please open your Bible so you can read it for yourself.
So, we do it, you know, if you're new to the show, and again, I invite you to go watch chapter 1, but if not, we don't just read through the Bible like anything else.
We actually read through the Bible, and we study everything about it.
We pour out all the meat and potatoes, what the Scripture has to offer, all the context, which could be 20 minutes, a half hour, an hour, wherever the Holy Spirit leads us.
So, Acts chapter 20, verse 1, and again, continuing off of chapter 19, When Paul caused a big ruckus in Asia there, because Asia, you know, the town clerk and all of them said, this is a place where we worship the great goddess, the fake goddess, Diana.
Right?
And Paul caused a big stir, and they had to come to an assembly about the whole thing, because there was a great confusion in them there, because they were all Diana's worshippers, right?
And Paul was preaching the word of God.
Preaching Jesus in Asia.
So it's creating a bunch of confusion, a big stir, an uproar going on, right?
All over Asia, right?
And again, watch chapter 19 to catch up to this.
And I wouldn't even go any further if you haven't seen chapter 19. So anyway, and after the uproar was ceased, when it stopped, Paul called on to him the disciples and embraced them and departed for to go into Messedinia.
And when he had gone over those parts, he had given them much extortion, and he came into Greece.
So after this big uproar, Paul caused, and, you know, bringing the word of God into this land.
And you can see there's a lot of demonic stuff going on, there was crazy stuff going on, right?
And a lot of people came to Christ.
Because they've seen firsthand what these demons can do with acknowledging Jesus and acknowledging Paul.
And because of that, okay, you know, the people came to Christ.
And, you know, people who didn't want to stop worship and die and all that, they were really livid about it.
So anyway, they left and went over to, they came into Greece, right?
And they're abode three months.
So they were there for three months.
And mind you, Paul was there for about two years in Asia.
Now they're in Greece, and they're about three months.
And when the Jews laid wait for him, so they were there waiting for him, as he was about to sail to Syria, he proposed to return to Macedonia, right?
And the Jews were waiting for him.
And there accompanied him into Asia, Sopia, and Buria, And again, I apologize if I butchered these names, but you can read them for whatever you read them for.
And these go on before Taron and for Tros.
And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of the lemon bread, And came into them to Tros in five days, where we abode for seven days.
So this makes a little confusion about...
They're going from land to land.
That's what's going on.
They spend three months here, five days here, another seven days over here.
They're going all over the place.
And at the same time, they're bringing the Word of God all over the place.
So just...
He saved a little bit of confusion.
And if you guys need more clarification, just put it in the comment section, and I'll try to be more clear about it.
So, verse 7, And upon the first day of the week, which is Sunday, by the way, yeah, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, and ready to depart on the morrow, and continue his speech into midday.
So the first day of the week, it's like, alright, they came together to break bread, to have dinner, right?
And Paul preached to them and got them ready to depart for tomorrow.
So basically, they're taking a break here.
Ready to go on to their next mission, basically.
And he continued his speech at the midnight.
So they sat there all day talking.
And there were many lights in the upper chamber where they were gathered together.
And there sat in the window a certain young man named Eucharist being fallen into a deep sleep.
And as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep.
And he fell down from the third loft and was taken up dead.
So this Eucharist guy here, when Paul was preaching to midnight, this guy ended up falling asleep.
And he slopped over and he ended up falling from the third loft.
And he died.
And Paul went down and fell on him and embraced him and said, trouble not yourselves for his life was in him.
And when he therefore was come up again and had a broken bread and eaten and talked a long while even to the break of day so he departed.
So Paul just stayed up all night preaching.
That's what was going on.
This guy fell down and died.
And Paul laid upon him and obviously it wasn't Paul that brought him back to life.
It was Jesus, the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit working through Paul and the power that Jesus stole upon him was able to return him to life.
Then, you know, I guess everybody was excited about that and they just stood up all day.
They just, you know, eating and talking all night.
Then they departed in the morning.
And though they, the young man alive, and were not little comforted.
So the man was alive, but he wasn't comforted, right?
And we went before the ship, and sailed into Asos, and there intended to take in Paul, for he had appointed, minded himself to go far.
And when he met with Asos, he took him in and came to meddling.
And he sailed dense and he came the next day over against Chaios.
And the next day we arrived at Samuels.
And tarried the Tergorium.
And the next day we came to Millers.
Basically, long story short with this stuff, yeah.
Because I usually explain every verse and all that.
He's just going, you know, Paul's just, they're doing a lot of travel.
And again, you gotta understand, every time they go to one of these places, they preach the word of God.
So chapter 20 is just going over that journey all through Asia and everything else.
And for Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus because he would not spend the time in Asia.
For he hasted and it was possible for him to be at Jerusalem in the day of Pentecost.
So let me see what hasted means.
Hasted is urgent, in need of quick action, the hurry or rushed.
So Paul was in a rush to get out of there.
And from Miletus, he sent to Ephesians, and he called the elders of the church.
And when they were come to him, they came over to him, he said unto them, You know from the first day I came into Asia...
After that, what manner I have been with you at all seasons?
And serving the Lord with all humility of mine, and with many tears and temptations, which befell me by lying in wait of the Jews.
So I'm saying, like, yeah, yeah, because it says the Jews are waiting for him, right?
Because the Jews, like you get, as you can see through, it's a constant trend through the whole New Testament, that every time, you know, Jesus preached, they were there to try to bring discourse.
Then they eventually killed him.
They did the same thing with Stephen.
Now they're doing it to Paul.
Because, you know, Paul's continuing to work with Jesus, and the Jews are like, oh man, I thought we just killed Jesus.
Then we killed Stephen, and now we've got Paul running around.
We actually first, Paul used to work for us, Saul, to go kill these people.
Now he's on their team, and he's going to bring the word of God just as strong.
As you know, Paul used to be Saul, and he became a very powerful leader.
Very powerful apostle.
That's why all the false religions hate Paul.
The occult hates Paul.
You know why?
Because Paul brought it.
Paul didn't mess around.
He brought it.
Jesus instructed him to do something and he did.
He became the most powerful apostle there is.
And now I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you.
I have showed you.
And have taught you publicly and from house to house, testifying both to the Jews and also to the Greeks, repentance towards God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
And now, behold, I go bound in the Spirit into Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me then.
So Paul's like, yeah, he's worried.
Because I don't know what they're going to do with me then.
Bound means in captive, in the spirit, in Jerusalem.
Not knowing the things that shall befall me there, right?
And I don't think he was worried per se, you know what I mean?
But just knowing, he wasn't knowing what's going to happen to him.
So I'm sure he wasn't afraid because he would never win.
But he knew the Holy Spirit was with him, right?
But he doesn't know what's going to happen to him.
Anyway, he says, Save that the Holy Ghost witness in every city, saying that the bonds and afflictions abide me.
Save that the Holy Ghost witness in every city.
And saying that the bonds and afflictions abide me.
Because Paul went through a lot of stuff.
Yeah, bringing the word of God is great, but Paul suffered a lot of afflictions, I'm saying, off that.
Afflictions, I'm sorry.
I can't even talk today.
Yeah, so Paul's just like, alright, I've got to go into this place in Jerusalem, not knowing what's going to happen.
But none of these things move me.
Neither count I my life dear unto myself.
So, yeah, when I said earlier, Paul's worried, but not per se, because he has no clue what's going to happen to him.
But he's not afraid, because he's got the Holy Ghost with him.
Because he says, yeah, but none of these things move me.
In other words, I don't care.
I'm going to go anyway, and I don't care what happened to me.
You're not going to move me, you're not going to shake me.
Neither count I my dear wife unto myself.
In other words, yeah, I know this could be my wife, but so what?
So that I might finish my course with joy.
Finish my mission that Jesus set out for me.
In the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus to testify the gospel of grace of God, So he goes, yeah, I don't know what's going to happen to me, but you know what, I don't care.
I got the Holy Spirit with me.
I got the word of God with me, given to me by the Lord Jesus Christ to testify the gospel of grace, God.
So, well, you know what, whatever the Jews want to do, because remember in the beginning it says, the Jews wait for him, we're waiting for him.
But, you know, Paul's saying, yeah, bring it on, whatever you got for me, bring it on.
And now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching, the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
So Paul's telling him, he's like, yeah, this might be the last time you see me.
Because again, the Jews are waiting for him, and he says right there, even if it means my life, I gotta go.
I gotta finish my course with joy.
I gotta be happy about this, because I am a minister for Jesus.
I have to finish that mission that he set for me.
And therefore I take you to record this day, write it down, that I am pure from blood of all men, who I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
So this sounds like Paul's final farewell to the apostles.
Knowing that they're probably going to kill him, right?
So take heed therefore unto yourselves, into all your flock, over which the Holy Ghost has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which has purchased with his own blood.
So in other words, you guys now, you need to take over.
Because Paul is literally the leader here.
You guys need to take over and watch over your flocks.
Talking about the people that you minister to.
The churches you created.
For I know this, that after my departure shall grievous wolves enter in among you, and not sparing the flock.
So he says, when I leave, people are going to come in and infiltrate these churches.
And they're not going to spare nobody.
And also, of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them.
So in other words, people are going to come in and tempt you.
Perverse things and everything else.
To draw you away.
And therefore watch and remember that by the space of three years I cease not to warn everyone night and day with tears.
So in three years I won't be able to warn people night and day with tears.
And now brethren I commend you to God and to the word of his grace which is able to build you up and to give you an inheritance among all that which is sanctified.
So, he's saying, I'm passing all my teachings that I got from Christ to you.
And you are sanctified now.
I have coveted no man's silver or gold or apparel.
He said, I have taken nobody's stuff.
Through the ministries and all that, he's never received gold, silver, apparel.
He's never taken anything, any riches for his ministry.
But he has given to people.
And you yourselves know that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and do them with me.
So, just see, all you had was necessities, that's it.
Didn't have no riches or nothing like that, right?
And I showed you all these other things, how that you're laboring, you ought to support the weak.
So I showed you all these things and now labor so you can support the weak.
And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, it is more blessed to give than receive.
So he says, go out and labor.
And this way you can use that money to support the weak people.
The poor and everything else in need, right?
And he says it's better to give than receive.
And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down and prayed with them all.
And they all wept sore and fell on Paul's neck and kissed him.
So this is basically the farewell to Paul.
So basically they gave him a hug.
That's what he said.
They all hugged him and kissed him on the cheek.
And they're all crying because this is Paul's goodbye to them.
And sorrowing most of all the words which he spoke that they should see his face no more.
And they accompanied him into the ship.
So they walked him to the ship and they were all sad and upset that this is the last time I'm going to see Paul.
Well, at least into the resurrection.
So this is Paul's farewell.
That's what this is.
But again, he's going to Jerusalem because he knows the Jews are waiting for him.
He knows exactly because it's the same Jews who killed Jesus.
The same Jews who killed Stephen.
Stephen, like when he became an apostle, he was on fire.
He was like unstoppable.
The Jews killed him.
And now Paul's becoming a mighty warrior for God, a weapon.
And he knows, alright, my time's now.
But he went there with joy.
You hear what he said though?
To fulfill this mission with joy.
That's awesome.
And if you remember through the series here, when apostles faced persecution and everything else even got beat up, they were joyful about it.
Because they were so happy that they did their job.
And in this today's world, right?
If you're not being persecuted anyway, you're not doing your job.
We get attacked all the time by trolls and everything else.
And the enemy, because we're doing our job.
So if you're being attacked, guys, don't be despaired about it.
Be of good share.
Because this life is only temporary.
You know what I mean?
And you're going to be rewarded so much.
Especially if they kill you, you're going to get the mortis crown.
That's the highest reward in the kingdom of God you can get.
Jesus died for us and you shouldn't have no problem dying for him.
If that's your call.
And be cheerful about it.
And one day, you know, I really believe we're in the end times, guys.
So one day, when we face that time, when it's, you know, like, some of us might face, we have to take the mark of the beast and be killed.
And we're going to get to that when we get to Revelation, the details about that, right?
And yes, you're going to be there.
If you're alive, you will be here.
There's no pre-tribulation around here.
As we showed already in Matthew 24. And we're going to show you in 2 Thessalonians coming up.
That's a dispensationalist garbage.
There's no point of a tribulation if we're not here for it.
The tribulation doesn't affect the wicked.
It affects us.
When Satan gives the power to overcome us.
And if we're caught into captivity, as the Bible says, it says to wait patiently for your death.
Don't receive that mock at all.
But we're going to wait until Revelation to talk about that.
But yeah, if you've got to suffer persecution and even death here, be happy about it.
Because Jesus says, what better more is for one person to give their life for another.
For somebody, you know, your friend.
As he gave his life for us, you know, we should have no problem giving our life for him.
Because remember, they killed him first, they persecuted him first.
And he told us this would happen.
So this is what Paul's dealing with.
This is his farewell goodbye.
He's like, yeah.
So the Holy Spirit's telling him that's how he knows.
Because the Holy Spirit's telling Paul, hey, yeah, this is your farewell.
They're telling the apostles, you know, go and be leaders.
Don't let people deceive and attempt you.
They're going to tempt you with perverse things and everything else and draw away disciples after them.
Don't let them do that.
He says men are going to rise and do this.
Don't be deceived.
Don't be tempted by these things.
So he's going to go read the next chapter, I believe, That's when he goes into Jerusalem.
And yeah, he's going to have to deal with the Jews.
So guys, if you need any clarification on this, please put it in the comment section.
And I hope I made it clear here.
So this is actually kind of short.
Because normally we sit there explaining Bible verses for a while.
But most of this chapter here is just Paul going from place to place.
Bringing the word of God, doing everything he can because this is his last mission he's going to accomplish.
So that's why I went by a little quick.
So like I said, sometimes these videos go 20 minutes.
Sometimes they go almost an hour or more.
So it's not about time, guys.
It's about context.
And again, if you feel that you need more clarification or context on something, put it in the comment section.
