TruthRadioShow.com Shalom and welcome to the Dan Bedandi Show at TruthRadioShow.com and welcome to the Gospel of John chapter 15.
If you missed chapters 1-14, they're in our playlist on truthradioshow.com where you can simply click on our Bible series and it goes right to the books you want to learn about.
So we do an in-depth comprehensive study.
We don't just read through the Bible, we actually study the Bible.
So what we do, guys, for new listeners out there, first of all, I encourage you to go watch Chapter 1 before you go any further.
But what we do every show is we do a specific Bible study approach.
Number one is to pray for wisdom and understanding.
So let's do that right now.
So Jesus Yeshua, we come before you, Lord and Savior, our Messiah, our Redeemer.
We ask you to forgive us all of our individual trespasses and sins that we may have committed.
And bless us, Lord, and make us whole.
Before the Father, Father, we come to your throne once more to ask you for once again, to give us the divine teacher, the divine comforter, the Holy Spirit, to teach us your word, to write the word of your word, the word of God upon our hearts.
And today it's John chapter 15.
We ask you to help us understand your word in its entirety, in full context.
We ask you in your mighty name.
And also pray for those who need spiritual, physical, or any kind of comfort at all.
We ask you to help us all, Lord, and protect us all from the forces of evil.
And to bring your divine word to life, Lord.
In your mighty name we pray.
Amen.
So, that being done, guys, we read the scripture in context.
We don't bounce all over the Bible like a frog on a hot plate.
Like religions do, we read the scriptures for what it is.
We read it in context.
Because context is key.
And you get full interpretation and understanding when you do this.
So let the scripture interpret the scripture, plain and simple.
So now we go to John 15, and now, like we left off in chapter 14, how, you know, within hours from Jesus being captured, right?
And Him, you know, Jesus clearly explaining that the Comforter, That he'll pray for the Father to give us another comforter, right?
And he goes on to say that comforter is not another prophet or anything like that, right?
And Jesus is the Messiah, right?
Nobody else but the Holy Spirit.
He'll give us the Holy Spirit as a comforter.
Right there, verse 26.
So, and he goes on to say that him and the Father are one.
And you gotta believe in him and the Father and him and you.
So, John 15 here, and we're coming up toward the crucifixion.
So, Jesus goes on to say, I am the true vine in my father and his husband.
So, it continues off to where we left off in chapter 14, and Jesus is telling Peter and the apostles there, explaining in detail what he's talking about.
That he's leaving, another comforter's coming, that he's not going to leave us, comfort us, and that's the Holy Spirit.
And we need to abide with him.
So verse 1, and guys, thank you Shake Awake Radio for carrying us on the audio edition.
And if you're listening on the audio edition, guys, just open up your Bible.
We encourage you to do that.
And if you're watching on the video here, we've got the King James Version right up on the screen.
So Jesus goes to say, I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Every branch in me that bears not fruit, he takes away.
And every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
So how many parables that Jesus went on talking about the husbandman, which is, you know, the person who takes care of the vineyard and all that, right?
And the tree producing fruit and all that good stuff.
And he always refers to his church as the bride.
We are the bride and he's the husband.
And his church is those who believe in Jesus.
It's not a religion.
It's not the Catholic Church.
Not the 40 different thousand denominations of Christianity.
Nothing like that, right?
His church is us, the people.
His followers.
So, now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
So, him speak, this is right here, we are clinging to the word, which he has told us, right here, right?
Abide in me, and he goes on more, right?
And explain in detail.
We need to abide in him.
And I in you.
So, when we abide in Jesus, guys, he abides in us.
As a branch cannot bear fruit itself, except it abides in the vine.
So he went on to say he's the true vine, right?
If we don't have that vine, OK, we're not going to bear fruit.
We cannot bear fruit, and in other words, good stuff, without him being the vine.
No more can he accept that he's by the name, right?
He goes, I am the vine.
Again, he says it, right?
You are the branches.
We are the branches, guys.
He that abides in me, and I in him, the same bring forth much fruit.
That's what we're doing now, guys.
We are proclaiming His Word right now, bringing the truth to people, right?
We are bringing that fruit right now.
Because when you're learning here today, I'm learning right now, too.
I'm just a messenger.
I'm learning as you are right now, too, through the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is teaching me and you right now at the same time.
What we learn here, we're going to make it applicable to our life.
So we go around teaching the Word, right?
We're bearing fruit.
And without me, he says, you can do nothing.
We cannot do anything without Jesus.
So if a man abides not in Him, right?
In me, right?
He says, right?
If no one abides in me, He is cast forth as a bridge, and is withered, and the men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." So, this goes out to the more dispensationalists again, because the, you know, the John Nelson Darby stuff, they go around to tell people, oh yeah, you gotta believe, you know, you believe in Jesus, right?
But, you could go do anything you want.
This is the mentality of these modern day Christians.
Because the church isn't benefitted by it.
They say, oh, grace, we can do whatever we want.
Grace is a free path to go sin.
And I literally heard pastors, dispensationalist pastors tell people, literally, believe in Jesus right now, and when you walk out this door, it doesn't matter what you do.
You can go rape somebody or whatever, they literally said this.
And you gotta go to heaven no matter what.
Once saved, always saved, right?
No.
He just explained who the branch is, right?
We are that branch, right?
Explained in full detail, full context there.
So if you don't abide in Him, people say, well, I'm already saved.
Well, you need to repent.
Because He is a cast forth a branch and He's with the way.
If you're not abiding in Him, you can't just say, oh, I accept Jesus, then go on and live a sinful life without no regrets or repentance.
And yeah, granted, we all sin still, but daily we repent.
We need to have a repentant of heart.
James struggled with sin.
If you read the book of James, you'll see that when we get to it.
Doesn't mean our lives are perfect.
We still sin.
We try not to.
He wants to see that repentant of heart.
Not a clear conscious where you can go, Oh, I have no conscious.
Okay, I'm just going to go out and sin anyway.
That's the dispensational church.
And they're going to be that branch that withers away and that's gathered up and cast into the fire and they're burned.
Roughly speaking that, yeah, you got to burn it out literally and then look fire.
I'm just being blunt.
So if you abide in me, and my words abide in you.
You shall ask what you will, and you shall be done unto you.
And again, when I, last chapter, he said something similar to this.
Asking his name and you shall receive it.
It's not the prosperity doctrines out there that say, oh, you should be rich and all that, braindead cars.
No.
If you ask a million dollars, then he's not going to give you a million dollars.
Dumb things like that, like braindead cars and mansions and all that stuff.
The only mansion you should be worried about is in the kingdom of God, not on here on earth.
The things you need, okay, He will give to you.
Food, water, shelter, stuff like that, right?
So, you know, just so people don't take it out of context, right?
Here it is, my Father is glorifying, right?
That you bear much fruit, so shall ye be my disciples.
So He's telling us right here, we can be His disciples if we bear much fruit.
As most of you, and I know a lot of the listeners of the show here, we all do this.
I see your Facebook pages and I pay attention to all that, comments and all that.
And you guys are warriors out there.
You listen to my show, the nice TV shows, Brian's, Jason's, everybody else's, right?
And you guys are all over Facebook and social media just glorifying the Lord.
Spreading the gospel.
Some of you guys even, Armando, going out baptizing people.
Making little videos and all that.
That's, we're bearing fruit, all of us.
That's awesome.
And I encourage people, go, go start a show.
Make a video.
Do something.
That's bearing fruit.
And we are his disciples, right?
Then he says, as the Father has loved me, so I love you.
Continue in my love.
So mind you, this is probably hours before he's captured.
Captured, right?
And mind you, when he's saying this, okay?
I gotta remind you, right?
The last two chapters.
While he's saying this, right?
Judas is left.
So the apostles think Judas went out to buy food for the feast and the poor, right?
Judas, right now is when he's speaking his time, right?
He's gone to the priest.
The high priest and all that.
To rat Jesus out.
To say where he is and everything else.
So keep that in mind, right?
And as this premieres, it's kind of funny because we're right at the time of the Passover and Easter, right?
So this is very awesome that it's right about this time.
That's why I'm doing an extra study this week.
Usually I do only two or three.
I'm going to do as much as I can to cover the whole resurrection thing.
So he says, my father's love me and I love you and continue my love.
And if you keep my commandments, as he said in the last chapter too, if you keep my commandments, right?
Remember, him and the father one, right?
His commandments are God's commandments.
God's commandments are his commandments.
You shall abide in my love even as I have kept my father's, look, I have kept my father's commandments and abide in his love.
So people say, well, we're going to the Ten Commandments again.
For some reason, the Dispersationists will say, well, we don't have to keep the Ten Commandments just for the Jews.
Wrong!
How many times did Jesus say we have to follow what He did, right?
We read that in the last chapter.
Or the chapter before, He says you need to follow Him and do what He does, right?
He clearly said that.
So if you see, Jesus says, I have kept my Father's commandments.
That's the Ten Commandments.
Duh!
That means you do too.
And we explained it in detail last chapter, how important the Ten Commandments are.
And Jesus' two great commandments are the hangings of the Ten Commandments.
So you can't get around them.
And yes, the Ten Commandments apply to you.
If you call yourself and follow Jesus Christ, Jew or not, the Ten Commandments apply to you.
Because if you don't believe that, you're not getting to the Kingdom.
Because no lawless people will be entered to the kingdom of God.
This is what he says.
Right?
So, again, we have to emulate Messiah, right?
How could you emulate Messiah if you don't keep the Ten Commandments?
The Father's Commandments are the Ten Commandments.
And there's more as we go on.
You know, we're really going to nail this home.
So if you're a dispensationalist out there, but once they've always said the commandments are abolished, and all that stuff, the pre-tribulation rapture, by the time you get done with these series, we're going to show you definitively, through the scripture, through the word of God, that all that is false doctrine.
And I love these books, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, because they destroy all false religion.
All false doctrine.
When you read it in its context, because these religions take certain verses out of context, purposely.
They don't want you to read in the context like we do today.
No religion does, because it destroys the religious dogma.
And yes, there's a difference between the Bible and religion.
I follow Jesus Christ, I don't belong to no religion at all.
None.
And again, if you keep my commandments, You shall abide in my love, right?
He says, we keep his commandments, we abide in his love, right?
Even as he kept the Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
These things I have spoken unto you that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be fulfilled.
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I loved you.
And he said this in the last chapter, right?
Greater love, and again, his commandment, I have to emphasize again, okay?
His great commandments don't replace or abolish the Ten Commandments.
Just want to point that out, and I don't know where people get that from.
Oh yeah, because of the dispensationalists.
No, they do not abolish, they add it on.
And these great commandments are the hangers of the Ten Commandments.
They don't abolish or remove the Ten Commandments.
I want to point that out.
So, greater love has no man than this.
That a man lay down his life for his friends.
Right?
Greater love.
And didn't Jesus just do that?
And in this context and time, He's about to do this?
Go to Calvary for us?
So, what greater love is that?
This is the Creator in the flesh, guys.
Came to be killed by His own creation.
Nobody would do that.
This is how much he loved us, guys.
If you can't understand us by now, I don't have the words to even tell you anymore.
I would say just shut this off and pray about it, whatever, if you can't understand by now.
Right?
The whole point of him coming to the Earth for this reason.
He laid down his life for us, guys.
He didn't have to do that.
You know, this is powerful.
And this is premiering in April here of 2023.
So if you're watching the premiere on this, it was right about the time of his crucifixion.
So again, greater love has no man than this, right?
That laid down his life for his friends.
And you are my friends, he says, right?
Like I just said.
He laid down his life for us.
We're his friends, right?
And he goes, you are my friends.
And if you do whatsoever I command you, Didn't he command us, right?
The commandments.
He kept his father's commandments.
We emulate him.
We keep his commandments and his father's commandments.
Bottom line.
Henceforth, I call you not servants.
For the servant knows not what his lord does.
But I have called you friends.
Imagine that?
I consider myself a servant because I'm just humble, you know?
But he calls us friends.
And yes, he's talking to apostles, he's talking to us, too.
So that's why it's written this way.
Right?
And he, like, that's why he washed his own apostles' feet, to prove this to them.
Remember the other two chapters ago?
When he washed his own apostles' feet, and they couldn't understand why he was doing this?
They're like, we should be washing your feet, yeah?
Why are you doing this for us?
Now you understand.
He doesn't consider us servants.
He considers us friends.
For all these things I have heard of my father, I have made known unto you.
And if you understand the scriptures, right?
We're given authority like the angels when we are in the end.
We are gonna be just like the angels.
That's how much he loves us.
And that's why Satan hates us, guys.
That's why he wants us all dead or to deceive us.
Because he can't stand the fact that we're going to be like the angels.
Not angels, but we're going to be like the angels.
The authority we will have.
Because we're his friends.
Not slaves.
And people need to understand that.
Especially people like, oh I don't want to be a slave to nobody.
No, we're his friends.
We're servants he has by his friends.
We're not his slaves.
And I'm not saying it because I do this willingly.
I'm not, uh, he doesn't, um, uh, say, oh, you have to believe us because he would never give us free will.
But he gives you the choice.
But unfortunately, you make the wrong choice.
Yeah, you're not going to heaven.
He says, you have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained you that you should go into and bring forth fruit in that your fruit should remain that whatsoever you shall ask in my father's name, and he may give it to you.
So, again, he's talking right now, at this point, talking about the apostles, right?
But, yes, we, because it goes on to say, make apostles of men, right?
Disciples of men, right?
That tricula, uh, um, sorry, that, um, how does it explain that?
That trickles down to us.
Over the generations on that, right?
We're continuing what the apostles did.
The early church fathers did, and so on.
We are ordained by God.
We are picked by God.
Before we even knew how to speak, God's already chosen us.
We didn't choose God.
I mean, I choose the world, but when we were young, of adolescence, we had no clue about anything, right?
God chose us even before we were born.
Like He told Jeremiah, I knew you before you were in your mother's womb, and ordained you a prophet, right?
He knew all of us before we were even born.
And ordained us to spread the gospel.
That's amazing, man.
I just feel so humbled and privileged.
And he says, these things I command you, that you love one another.
I don't know how many times he says love, love, love, love, love, right?
Like I said, even the enemies out there who are grooming children, doing all kinds of bad stuff to kids and everything in the world, stuff's going on in the world.
It's not them, it's the enemy working through them.
So we need to pray for them, hopefully they can wake up to what's going on.
Okay, it's so hard to love somebody that's doing harm to people and kids, but love them anyway and pray for them.
So he says, if the world hates you, know that it hated me before hating you.
So this is persecution that goes on today.
How many street ministers are getting beat up and attacked?
Especially by these godless people?
Or you go to abortion rally and say, uh, you speak the word Jesus and they try to attack you?
Yeah, crazy stuff, right?
But remember, They hated Jesus before they hated you.
Remember that.
And it's glorifying Jesus still, by the way.
And if you were of the world, the world would love its owner.
But because you are not of this world, we talked about this last chapter, right?
We are not of this world, but I have chosen you out of the world.
I have chosen you out of this world.
Therefore, the world hates you.
That's why most of us guys, we're not worldly, we're not famous or anything like that because people like us, we are part of the remnant.
We're the enemies of the world.
Because they hated him for us, we follow him, he's chosen us.
But you know what?
It doesn't matter because we're going to be in the kingdom of God, which is going to be more glorious than this world.
Verse 20, and remember the world, the word, I'm sorry.
Remember the word that I said unto you.
The servant is not greater than his Lord.
If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you.
If they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
So again, yeah, you gotta be persecuted.
They have persecuted him first, remember that, right?
And they're gonna persecute us.
Then they're already persecuting us.
So, but of all these things, will they do unto you for my name's sake?
Because they know not him that sent me.
So they're gonna do things not to us guys in these times.
Some of us will escape it, some of us can hide from it.
But a lot of us are gonna be caught into captivity and we know what the Bible speaks about that.
As we get on to the further chapters.
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin.
But now they have no cloak for their sin.
So in other words, if he didn't come, right, and spoke, nobody would know what a sin is.
And they could use it for ignorance, like, I don't know, I'm sorry.
And it's true, if you didn't know a law existed, right, how are you supposed to be held accountable for it?
You could claim ignorance.
But now you come to reveal sin and now there's no cloak for it no more.
Like, no, you can't hide behind ignorance because now you know better.
And now you know sin is wrong.
And he that hates me hates the Father also.
Yeah, you can't love God and not love Jesus.
You can't love Jesus and not love God.
You gotta Hate both or love both.
That's how it works.
And I love both.
And if I had done among them the works at which no other man did, right?
They had not had sin.
But now have they seen both and hated both, me and my father.
Again, if I had not done among them the works which I had not...
If I didn't do what I did, he's saying, right?
Which no other man did, then they are not sin.
But they have seen both, and hated both, right?
They've seen me, they've seen the Father, right?
And they hate both.
But this comes to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law.
They hated me without a cause.
And he's talking about, in this context here, then, And the thing is, the Bible applies at the time it's talking about, and also in our life as well.
Because it's not a coincidence we go through the same stuff.
Right?
So this is applicable, that's why it's a spiritual application.
It's applicable to the world we live in.
And biblical scripture is still being fulfilled right now as we speak.
And they hated him without cause.
He did nothing wrong.
Nothing.
He was blemished, spotless.
Did nothing wrong, but they hated him.
The rabbis, the high priests of the leaders over there, they hated him.
He was blemished, spotless, perfect.
But when the comforters come, right?
And who's the comforter?
As he said in the last chapter.
And if you missed it, go to the last chapter.
The comforter is the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Ghost, right?
Clearly states that.
He goes, when the comforters come, right?
Because he says, when I leave, there's going to be another comforter.
So when he gets crucified here, right?
He goes, I'm not going to leave you comfortless.
I'm going to send you another comforter.
It won't be me, but it'll be the Holy Ghost.
And it's not no Joseph Smith Muhammad or anything like that.
These religions falsely misuse the scripture.
No, it's the Holy Spirit.
There's no other prophets or anything like that after Jesus.
He's the Messiah, He comes, and there's no other great prophets that come.
And yes, like I said, we all prophesy.
We have dreams because the scripture says in the end times people dream dreams and have visions of prophecy.
But we talk about these high prophets like Moses and Elias.
There's no more.
So don't let any religion fool you to say that Jesus talked about them coming.
No.
The only one that has come next is the Holy Spirit.
And he says it here.
But when the comforters come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which is the Holy Spirit, which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me.
And ye also shall bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.
Talk about the part, you guys have been here.
Apostles, you all been here?
You bore bear witness to this.
All of it.
You've seen the scriptures fulfilled.
The prophecies from Elias, the prophecies from Moses, and all the other prophets, they prophesize of His coming.
They've witnessed that.
They bore witness to the Messiah here on earth.
And this is a short chapter, only 27 verses.
But yeah, usually we've gone for like a half hour, 45 minutes, which actually it's almost half hour now, but amazing stuff guys.
And so, yeah, I can't wait to get into chapter 16.
It's gonna be awesome.
So if you got any questions or comments or answers, and I hope you understand, this whole chapter, every bit of it, is all the words of Jesus.
This is hours away from him being captured.
And mind you again, okay, as he's talking, Judas Iscariot is out there, Revealing, ratting Jesus out to where he is.
And apostles think, hey, he's out there getting food for them for the feast and poor, but don't realize that he's out there, Jesus knows he's out there, because he told him, because Satan went into him, into Judas, and he told him, hey, do what you gotta do, and do it quick.
That lead the Jewish leaders to him to be captured, and to lead to his execution, the crucifixion, to fulfill his prophecy.
So we'll see you for chapter 16.
And it's an awesome chapter.
Is it chapter 16?
Yeah.
Yeah, it's chapter 16.
