- If you're receiving this transmission, you are the resistance.
Declaring war on the New World Order.
TruthRadioShow.com And welcome everybody to the Dan Bedard Show on TruthRadioShow.com So we are in the comprehensive study, in-depth study here, of the book of Luke.
And today we're doing chapter 18.
So we go chapter by chapter.
If you missed chapters 1 through 17, they're in the playlist.
Also the entire book of Matthew and Mark as well.
The entire two books of that.
So what we do guys, we don't just read to the Bible.
We actually examine what the Bible has to say.
Word for word, and you get the context.
So, even before we begin, so let's do this first.
Very most important thing.
Number one, we pray for wisdom and understanding, so let's do that right now.
So, Yeshua Messiah, Jesus our Lord and Savior, we come to you and ask for forgiveness for our personal sins and our trespasses.
We ask you to make us whole before the Father.
To anoint you, us, I'm sorry, anoint us with your precious blood.
And Heavenly Father, we come before you and ask you once again to Insert the Holy Spirit into us, Lord, to teach us your divine word, to help write it upon our hearts.
In this case, the book of Luke chapter 18 today.
And we want to fully understand your scripture, Lord.
And we ask you to heal anybody out here or comfort them if anybody's going through any physical or spiritual or any kind of ailments or pain or suffering or any of the sort.
And we ask you also to protect us all against any and all the forces of evil.
In your mighty precious name, Abba, Amen.
Is that being done, guys?
Which is the most important thing to do before you even touch the Bible.
And because through the Holy Spirit we can only understand this.
Not through academia, not through a church or anything like that, or a pastor, not even through me.
But through the Holy Spirit.
And we need to read the scripture in context, because context is key.
You know, you got a lot of these sites out there, they'll just read through the Bible, but they don't cover the context, they don't get into what the Bible has to say.
And like I said in the past video, if you're looking for somebody just to read through the Bible, you're not gonna find any here.
We read through the Bible, yes, but we don't just go read through it and take two or three minutes for a chapter.
We sit there and examine, thoroughly examine what the chapter has to say.
And let the Scripture interpret Scripture, and you'll never go wrong.
So, make sure the Bible's always your plan to trust, before anything.
So guys, if you've got a Bible, open it up.
We prefer King James or Geneva or something older.
But if not, we've got it on the video edition.
If you listen on ShakeWakeRadio.com.
Thank you, Andy, for carrying the show and your awesome, amazing network.
And so, we encourage you to open the Bible to read it for yourselves here.
So, or, you know, look on the screen here if you're watching the video edition.
So, Chapter 18, we just got done with Chapter 17, right?
Which was an amazing chapter.
And we're going to review that real quick.
So basically, it's Jesus talking about when he returns.
It's going to be like the days of Noah.
So this is chapter 17.
Let's continue on from that, right?
Chapter 18, I'm sorry.
And he spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray and not to faint, saying, There was a city, a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded men.
So there was a city, a judge, which feared not God.
They didn't fear God, nor did they care what men had to say, right?
Sounds like the modern day tyrants, like the guy we got in the White House, yeah?
The Canadian Prime Minister and half the world leaders, yeah.
You know, they don't fear God.
And they could care less what you have to say or think.
You know, it sounds like that, right?
Yeah.
Anyway, and there was a widow in that city.
You know, a widow is a woman that's lost her husband.
And she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of my adversary.
So she's asking this judge, or whatever he is, right?
To avenge her.
You know, I guess apparently somebody killed her husband.
Her adversary, which is enemy.
And he would not for a while, but afterward he said with himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard men.
Yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming, she weary me.
So he's like, you know, I don't care what God says, I don't care what our man says.
You know what I mean?
That's how his attitude is.
So the only reason why he's doing this for her, is because she keeps bothering me.
That's what he's saying.
I'm only going to do this because she keeps coming to me and I'm sick of it.
I'm just going to do it to get her out of my head.
And the Lord said, hear what an unjust son said.
This is what an unjust judge would do.
So every day we're going through it.
Especially these days.
day and night unto him, though he bear along with them.
So every day we're going through it, especially these days, the massive amount of children being killed, and people doing our spiritual things to them.
These world evil demonically.
Abortions, and not just the children, but us, you know, we're being attacked and everything.
We all cry up to God.
And ask for revenge.
Him to avenge us, right?
But God will avenge us, but it's on His timing, you know what I mean?
So, as he says, be it with them.
So what is it saying?
What is this parable saying?
The second parable goes on to explain it further, right?
when the Son of Man comes, shall he not find faith on earth?
So what is this saying?
What is this parable saying?
The second parable goes on to explain it further, right?
So what is Jesus saying?
Don't go to men, you know what I mean?
Like, that's most leaders in whatever's world, or judges, whatever.
Yeah, they could care less about you.
And half the stuff they do, if they do it, they'll write.
And I'm not saying there's no true judges or, you know, leaders out there, right?
There are.
But for the most part, they're right, you know?
So, they only do it just to, you know, look good politically, or get you out of their head.
They have no fear in God, that's why they're doing what they want.
Like our leaders in Washington.
Stopping all of our constitutional rights, they don't care.
And then the island no more, you know what I mean?
So that's what's going on.
But he's saying, God!
God, don't worry guys, to us it may take, well, it's like, why is it taking so long to avenge all this evil?
But he says he'll do it speedily.
People say, well, speedily, it's taking a long time to do that.
Well, to you it's a long time.
To you, it's a long time, right?
But to God, it's not.
And when it happens, it's done.
And it's forgotten about after.
So to God, it's speedily.
Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, shall he find faith on earth?
Because there are going to be people that have faith in him that know he's going to take care of them.
and avenge the evil.
I do.
I know.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, I wish it could happen right now.
But I know when his time, when it's his time, he comes, all that evil and suffering and everything else is going to be diminished.
So, in Jesus he has spake this parable unto a certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others.
So talk about self-righteous people.
It says, two men went up into the temples to pray, right?
One a Pharisee and the other a Republican.
So two men went up to the temple to pray.
One of them is a Pharisee, the other is a Republican.
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, and God I thank thee that I am not as the other men are.
Extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as a Republican.
I fast twice a week, and I give tithes that all I possess.
So he gives tithes, which is, you know, giving stuff for the temple.
So, and the publican, standing far off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to be a sinner.
And I tell you that this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other.
For the other one, exalted himself, shall be abased, and he that humbled himself shall be exalted.
So, check this out, right?
What is it saying?
So this guy looked good, right?
Look at him!
The Pharisee, right?
He stood up and went right in the temple of God, right?
Danked him out loud.
I'm not extortion.
I'm not unjust.
I'm not an adulterer like the Republicans are, right?
I fast twice a week.
Oh, I'm bragging about that.
I give tithes to all I possess.
So this is a... You walk into a church, right?
You can already see the butt kisses in the church.
You can spot them a mile long.
You know, the first five minutes you're in the church, right?
And you walk in the church and you're sitting there, right?
And it's always the people that sit right in the front rows, most of them, right?
And the pastor can make the corniest joke in the world.
The corniest joke.
That's not even remotely funny.
They'll laugh hysterically at that.
They like, they almost worship the pastor.
They kiss the butts of the elders and everything else and some, a lot of the elders.
But yeah, those are the ones that when the donation plate comes around, they make sure they fan that $20 bill or $50 or $100 bill.
They make sure they fan it out so everybody else can see it.
Look at me, oh yeah.
And every time the church needs some money, they're the first ones, oh I'll do it, I'll do it.
You know what I mean?
And they think they're so righteous.
Then they go and tell people, oh, I'm one of the parishioners of the church or whatever.
I do this for the church.
Bragging about all they're doing, right?
Yeah, we all seen these people.
But that person who was a sinner, right?
A Republican, right?
He's standing far off, you know, not to be seen.
Would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but smoke upon his chest saying, God be merciful to me, I'm a sinner.
So he was so ashamed of himself, right?
Wouldn't even look up.
Stood up from the distance, like, not to be noticed or anything, right?
And he convicted himself, I'm a sinner.
Just said, God, be merciful to me, help me, I'm a sinner.
So who's, who's the one most stressed about that?
The guy that said, Holy Vento A, right?
Was the last parable you said, right?
He's Holy Vento A!
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, Right?
We're self-righteous people, right?
Look at me, I'm in the front of the church, I'm deadly do-right, you know?
And, you know, I do this, I do that for the church and all that.
Whoop-de-do.
But that person that's way in the back, right, doesn't even look at people, he's there, he drags himself into that church, right?
Or in this case, the temple.
Just, he comes to an epitome in his life, he's like, you know what?
I need God.
And in the back, he's sitting there praying, doesn't even look up.
And he's saying, Heavenly Father, just be merciful to me, and he's doing this in secret.
While the other one's boasting and bragging, oh look at me, floating around, right?
So Jesus says, I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than, you know, talk about the publican, right?
The publican was justified, rather than the Pharisee.
For everyone that exalts himself shall be abased.
So if you sit there and brag, oh, this, that, blah, blah, blah, right?
You're gonna be abased.
But the one who humbles himself shall be exalted.
You humble yourself.
Be that guy in the back, you know, not to be a major presence in the church.
Oh, look at me!
Oh, yeah, yeah!
You know, that guy in the back, the humble guy, is more exalted than you are to God.
And I'm not saying everybody sits in front of the churches guys.
I'm not saying everybody that sits there is like that.
But we all know the people who... You know what I'm talking about.
They're the butt kisses of the church.
You know what I'm saying?
So...
And they brought up unto him also infants, that he would touch them, but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked him.
So, there were some people who had some kids, babies, and it's like, it'd be great for Jesus to touch them so they could be whole, right?
It'd be, you know, the Messiah, when he's on earth, it would be awesome to have my kid touched by him.
You know, to be blessed, right?
But the disciples saw this, because Jesus at this time, right?
Jesus is giving these parables.
He's talking to a bunch of people, right?
So the disciples are like, yeah, no, no, no, no, no, just wait, wait, hold on, he's busy right now, leave him alone, right?
But Jesus called unto him and said, now he stops what he's saying, right?
When he heard this.
He stopped and like literally looked at his own disciples.
And he probably went to look, are you kidding me guys?
And he said, So he's like, what are you guys doing?
To his own disciples.
What are you guys doing?
Don't let, you know, why are you stopping them from coming to see me?
what are you guys doing?
To his own disciples.
What are you guys doing?
Don't let you...
Why are you stopping them from coming to see me?
For they are such as the kingdom of God.
Then he says, Verily I say unto you, whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall no wise enter therein.
You get what he's saying here?
If you can't lower your...
Not lower your...
That's the wrong terminology.
If you can't humble yourself as a child, be innocent as a child, to look up to the Father for direction and guidance and love and everything, right?
Like you did when you were a kid, or a baby, to your parents.
If you can't do that, and people say, well, I'm 80 years old, I lived this life and that life, and I know it all.
Or whatever age you are, right?
Because you lived your life, you think you're, you know, Mr. Macho or something.
Well, you know it all.
Yeah, that's not going to do anything good for you.
What are you saying?
You're going to look up to the Father.
It doesn't matter.
You just, like, look up to Him as if you're a child.
Because we are the children of God.
So it doesn't matter how old you are, we're still nothing compared to Him.
We're still infants.
Even if you're 110 years old right now, you are still an infant compared to God.
Doesn't matter if you served in two world wars and all that stuff.
You know, you did have all this experience and all that.
Yeah, and wisdom.
Yeah, you're still a child, God.
That's what He wants you to be.
Humble.
Don't say, oh, because I'm old or whatever.
No.
He's saying, be humble like these children.
You want to get to the kingdom of God?
You need to be humble like these children are.
And in value he says unto you, right?
Whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God has these little children and no wise will enter it.
So if you're not humble, yeah, you're not getting into the kingdom of God.
Access denied.
And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
And Jesus said unto him, Why call me good?
No one is good save one, that is God.
He said there's only, the only person as good as God.
The only one who is as good as God.
Because all our hearts deceivers, guys.
And you people say, well, follow your heart.
Yeah, that's a bad voice.
If anybody ever tells you that, to say, oh, you, you know, you need to follow your heart, that's a very bad voice.
No, you never follow your heart.
Because your heart's going to deceive you.
Thank you.
You need to follow the Spirit.
It's a big difference.
So Jesus said unto him, again, you know, why call me good?
No one is good but the Father.
So, he asked this guy, right?
Do you know the commandments?
And here we go with the commandments again, right?
Oh, the commandments were abolished, they were nailed to the cross.
No, wrong.
The ordinances were nailed to the cross, not the commandments.
Get that right.
So Jesus is saying, here's the thing, if the commandments were abolished, why would Jesus be resenting us?
What would be the point?
He'd be like, you know, he wouldn't even ask about the commandments.
He'd be like, yeah, those are abolished, who cares?
Or fulfilled, like they say.
No, that's not.
He recites the 6th commandment right here.
Do you know the commandments?
Don't command adultery, right?
I'm saying that's the 7th commandment.
6th commandment is murder.
Do not kill, which is the 6th commandment.
Do not steal, which is the 8th commandment.
Do not bear false witness.
Don't lie, right?
That's the 9th commandment.
Honor your father or mother, that's the 5th commandment.
So he just recited several commandments in one verse.
Some people say, oh, the commandments, yeah, try another one.
That's dispensational garbage.
And yes, Revelation 14.12 says to keep the commandments of God in the faith of Jesus.
So we're going to go over that again one more time.
As you can see, I pull that up quite frequently.
And you saw John on Isle of Patmos.
Here's the patience of the saints.
Here are they that keep the commandments of God.
The commandments of God specified, right?
That's the Ten Commandments.
And the faith of Jesus.
And if you say, well, he has two great commandments.
Yes, the two great commandments are the hangers of which the Ten Commandments hang on.
So either way, you're not getting out of it.
The Ten Commandments are still valid, not just for the Jews.
They're for us.
They're common law too.
Guys, go try to steal right now and see what happens.
You're going to get arrested.
Go kill somebody.
You're going to get arrested.
So you want to tell me the Ten Commandments ain't law?
But anyway, this guy asked him, the good master, what...
I think this guy was a lawyer or something.
I don't know, a rich person.
But he goes on, what shall I do to inherit the eternal life, right?
Jesus said, you know, don't call, nobody's good but the Father.
But anyway, he says, do you know the commandments?
And he said, all I have kept these from my youth.
So the guy's saying, yeah, I know the commandments.
I have kept them since I was a kid.
And now Jesus heard these things and said unto him, but you lackest one thing though.
Go sell everything you have and distribute it to the poor and those shall have treasures in heaven and come follow me.
So is that good?
You know the commands?
Yes.
I followed them since my youth.
Right?
Alright, cool.
That's awesome.
Now what you need to do is go... You lack one thing.
You need to get rid of all that junk you have.
Sell it and go help the poor.
Then you'll have treasures in heaven which is greater than what you have now.
And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful, he was very rich.
So this was the rich man, okay?
So when he heard sorrowful, he was like, yeah, I'm not going to do that.
He didn't want to sell his goods.
So when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, how hardly show that they have riches and to the kingdom of heaven.
So he was basically saying to this rich guy, all right, you don't want to sell your stuff, but guess what?
You can't bring your riches in heaven.
I'm offering you riches in heaven right now.
I'm offering you a treasure that's greater than what you have right now in the kingdom of God.
Because your treasures we have now, the stuff we have now, it's going to rust, thieves are going to break in and steal or whatever.
It's not going to be, it's not going to last an eternity.
You can't bring it to heaven, right?
But I'm offering you treasures in heaven.
If you sell everything and give it to the poor, the money, I will give you treasures in heaven.
And you can come follow me, right?
But this rich man, you know, he's like, no, I can't sell everything, I worked too hard for it.
But Jesus says, all right, no problem.
But you know what?
You can't bring this stuff to heaven.
And he goes on to say, for it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
So this doesn't mean if you're rich or you got money, that doesn't mean that you're You're not going to go to the Kingdom of the Arts.
You know, it sounds impossible, right?
Well, check this out as it goes on, right?
It sounds impossible.
Well, again, the reason why this is, uh, waiting like this for, normally, okay, it's, you know, yeah, it's, it's easier for a camel to go to the eye of a needle than for you to get there, and you talk about this rich guy, right?
And he said, and he heard this, right?
And he said, then who could be saved?
The rich guy said, then who could be saved then?
If I can't go through the chemical through the iron needle, right?
Who could be saved?
And he says, the things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
So, he's saying right now to this rich guy, right?
Yes, to you it's impossible for chemical through the iron needle.
You know how big a camel is?
It weighs like, I don't know, thousands of pounds or something?
And you know what a sowing needle is, right?
You can barely put a piece of thread through it.
How could a camel possibly go through that?
Physically, yeah.
I mean, like, to us, yeah, it's not possible.
But through God, it's possible.
But he's saying, if you want that possibility, if you want that camel to go through the eye of the needle, and you'll enter the kingdom of God, you need to go sell what you have.
Distribute it to the poor, and I'll give you treasures greater than what you have in heaven.
But he refused to do that.
That's why Jesus came out and said, hey, listen.
It's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for you to enter the kingdom of God.
Then we asked, well, who could be saved then?
He said, well, the things that are impossible to you, are not impossible to God.
They're possible to God.
Then Peter said, whoa, whoa, I mean, we have left all and followed him.
So after Peter heard this, they called out and said, Jesus, well, we left everything and followed you.
Which they did.
They left everything.
They were fishermen and everything else.
They completely left everything to follow Jesus.
Now, this rich guy here that asked to be one of the followers, he didn't want to do that.
Anyway, Peter says, hey, we left you.
And Jesus said unto him, very I say unto you, there is no man that has left his house, or parents, or a brother, and a wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake.
So nobody's done this for my sake, right?
And who shall not receive manifold, many manifold, more than in the present time and in the world to come in and out of Austin?
So he told this when he told Peter.
And verse 31, Then he took up him twelve, which he took the twelve apostles, and said to them, Behold, we go to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the son of man shall be accomplished.
So after this whole ordeal, he tells the twelve apostles, All right, guys, let's go.
And he goes, we're going to Jerusalem, and all things that were written by the prophets of me, it's going to be accomplished.
Talk about his crucifixion.
How he's going to be the only one sacrificing everything else, right?
And he goes on to say, For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked and spitefully entered, and spitted on.
And they shall scourge him, and put him to death.
on the third day, he shall rise again.
So he's like, yeah, we're going to go to Jerusalem and this is my, this is the end here.
Okay.
The prophets foretold about this when the Messiah comes.
That he will be put to death and be atonement for the sins of the world.
To find a way of sacrifice.
So this is him saying this.
Alright guys, let's go.
It's time to fulfill my destiny here.
Of being on the earth, so... And so they...
They understood none of the things that which Jesus was saying to them.
Neither they knew the things that were spoken.
So they're like, just dumbfounded.
The apostles are talking about it.
And it came to pass that as they were coming back to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the wayside, begging.
So in hearing the multitudes pass by, he asked what it meant.
And they told him that Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.
So basically this guy is blind, sitting on the wayside, right?
And Jesus passed by.
So, again, he's like a rock star, you know.
Everywhere he goes, people are screaming for him.
Hey, Jesus, we need you out!
You know, so this blind man, he can't see.
So he's asking, what's going on?
And somebody told him that Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.
So when he found out the blind guy, when he found out Jesus passed by, he cried saying, Jesus, no son of David have mercy on me.
So he's probably yelling because he gets saved and Jesus is Jesus.
So like he's yelling, have mercy on me.
And the day that went before that rebuked him, that he should hold his peace, but cried out so much more, the son of David have mercy on me.
So basically Jesus coming through, right?
And he's yelling.
Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
And the people say, shh!
Be quiet, be quiet.
You know what I mean?
Leave him alone.
And he yells even louder.
Jesus have mercy!
You know, because he watched Jesus.
Doesn't care what the people have to say.
So Jesus stood and commanded him to be brought to him.
So he stopped.
Said, hold on a second.
Bring that man to me.
And he was to come near and asked him, saying, what will they that I do unto thee.
So he said, all right, guys, hold on.
Because he heard us crying, right?
Bring that man over to me.
And he asked him, what shall I do unto you?
And he said, Lord, that I may receive sight.
And Jesus said unto him, receive thy sight.
Thy faith has saved thee.
So check this out.
This is a pure demonstration of faith, right?
Even though he heard that Jesus was coming, right?
So he's like, all excited, yelling out, Jesus, I need help, help!
You know, have mercy on me, son of David.
People said, shut up, shut up.
You know, leave him alone, blah, blah, blah.
But he didn't care what they had to say.
Because he had that much faith that if he could only talk to Jesus and ask him for something, he would get his sight back, right?
He had that faith that he didn't care what everybody else was telling him to do.
He yelled out even louder.
And Jesus says, bring that man to me.
And he asked, what can I do for you?
And he goes, I need my sight.
May I receive my sight, right?
And Jesus said to him, receive thy sight, that your faith has saved you.
And immediately, he received his sight and followed him, glorifying God and all the people.
When they saw this, gave praise unto God.
That's amazing.
So he got his eyesight back and he was clean, you know made it clean again Praise you know God praise Jesus that when the people seen us cuz I get everybody knew this guy was blind They all start praising God because what they see And it's also this goes to continue on to the next chapter there chapter 19, which we'll get into at the next video Yeah, well guys if
