- If you're receiving this transmission, you are the resistance.
Declaring war on the New World Order.
truth radio show dot com shalom and welcome to the damper dot show on truth radio show dot com and we are studying in-depth comprehensive study of the book of mark chapter 14.
So what we do, guys, is we have to repeat this constantly because this is great wisdom and understanding to actually have this specific Bible study approach that brings out the best in the Scripture.
So what we do for us is we pray for wisdom and understanding.
So let's do that now.
So we pray to Yeshua, Messiah, Jesus.
We ask for the forgiveness of all our sins and our trespasses.
And we ask you, Heavenly Father, to help us learn your awesome, amazing Word and have the Holy Spirit, the Divine Holy Spirit, teach us in our hearts the full context of your Scripture in Mark chapter 14 today.
We ask you in this name, your name, Amen.
So guys, what we do also is we read the scripture in its context.
Remember, context is key.
We're not just going to read through the Bible, guys.
We're going to actually study this.
Other than, you know, most pages you go to, most websites and all that, they just read through it.
We don't do that.
We just re-read through it, yes.
I mean, and what we do is we study what everything has to say.
You know what I mean?
Bring out the full context.
And let the Scripture interpret the Scripture.
Don't lean on your understanding for it.
Let the Scripture interpret itself.
Let the Holy Spirit do it for you as well.
It's such a major book, really, yes.
So, the book of Mark.
So, we left off with chapter 13 last time, where Jesus just laid out all the prophecies.
It's very similar to Matthew 24, almost verbatim, of the signs of the prophecies of Him before His return.
Such as the sun and the moon losing its light, the stars falling from heaven, and then he will come after the tribulation.
So anyway, let's go on to Mark chapter 14.
So guys, if you've got a Bible, please open it up, because I want you to read this for yourselves.
So, and after two days was the Feast of the Passover and of Unleavened Bread.
And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft and put him to death.
So, here we go again, you know what I mean?
As you see all through Matthew and Mark here, that the chief priests and scribes, the Jewish leaders, wanted so bad to put Jesus to death because Jesus is changing the whole game.
You know what I mean?
He is Massively assembling people from everywhere and just for them to come out just to hear his word.
So this is just such an amazing book.
It really is.
And the book of Mark chapter 14 here.
So this is just amazing stuff.
But the bad stuff of it of course is like the scribes and all that.
They want to put him to death.
And the thing is, they don't, if they had the chance, they would have killed him right away.
But they know, because of the mass number of people following him, it would have caused riots.
I mean, they would have overthrown him.
So, they were afraid of the people overthrowing him.
So, they had to do it diligently, and come up with a crafty way, as it says here, taken by craft.
So, crafty way to put him to death, to make him look like a heretic.
So anyway, but they said, not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar amongst the people.
So, they're conspiring to say, like, we're gonna come up with a crafty way to kill Jesus.
But they said, you know, not on the feast day, because the feast day was just the Passover.
It would have been a major uproar if they did it then.
And plus, it would have been against their traditions and, you know, the scriptures.
So, anyway, in being in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat in meat, There came a woman having an Elbaster box of ointment and a spikenard, very precious.
And she broke the box and poured it onto its head.
So this is a very expensive, even probably to this day, but this very expensive ointment that she's doing this with, right?
So, and there was some of that had indignation with themselves and said, why is this waste of ointment made?
So, people watching, you know, people in the area, they're like, why is she wasting this oil on Jesus?
This is expensive stuff.
For it might have been sold for more than 300 pence and to have been given to the poor.
And they murmured against her.
So, they're saying, well, she could have just sold this.
Which, yeah, alright, sell it and give it to the poor, that's great, but they don't understand what she's done.
They think she's just wasting the soil.
So when Jesus said to all the people there, leave her alone, let her alone.
Why trouble her?
She has brought a good work on me.
So he's like, leave her alone.
She come here to do a good work for me.
For ye have the poor with you always, and whenever ye will may do them good.
But with me ye have not always.
So they're saying, the poor is always going to be here.
And do good for them, absolutely.
You're always going to have time to do good, but I'm not going to be here always.
My time is short.
And she has done what she could.
She has come in forehand to anoint my body to the burial.
So here he is just telling people, hey listen, leave her alone.
Yeah, the poor is always gonna be here, you always do good for them, absolutely.
You may do good for them, but I'm not gonna be here always.
She came to do something great.
A good work for me, to anoint my body before my burial.
He says, Verily I say unto you, wherever the gospel shall be preached throughout the world, this also she hath done shall be spoken of her from memorial of her.
So even to this day, right now, this is 2,000 plus years later, guys.
This is speaking of her.
Jesus is exalting her.
You know what I mean?
Saying, well, she's done a good thing.
Let it be a memorial for her.
And as we just read it here, that's a memorial for her.
So in Judas Iscariot, one of the 12 apostles, yeah?
Went on to the chief priests to betray him unto them.
So this is a little turncoat here.
And when they hadn't heard it, they were glad and they promised to give him money.
I think it was 40 pieces of silver, if I'm not correct.
If I'm not mistaken, I think it's 40 pieces of silver, as we learned in the book of Matthew.
And he saw how he might conveniently betray him.
So, you have Judas Iscariot just watching, you know, acting like one of the apostles.
And just reporting back to the chief priest everything that he does.
In the first day of Unlimited Bread, when they killed The Passover.
His disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou go and prepare that most east of the Passover?
Talk about the Feast of the Passover.
Where are we going to go?
You'd ask Jesus, where are we going to go?
You know, we need to eat this Passover meal.
Where are we going to do it, right?
And he sent forth two of his disciples and said unto them, Go ye into the city, and there you shall meet a man bearing a pitcher of water.
Follow him.
And wherever he shall go, say to the good man of the house, the master says, where is the guest chamber?
Where shall I eat the Passover with my disciples?
And he will show you a large upper room, a large upper room furnished and prepared, and they will make it ready for us.
So Jesus is telling him, I would say, go Send two of his disciples.
You've got to see a guy with a pitcher of water.
Follow him.
And ask him where the guest chambers are and all that.
He'll provide the place for us to have the feast.
And his disciples went forth and came into a city and found, as he had said unto them, the man with the pitcher of water.
And they made ready the Passover.
So they found, he showed them the furnished guest room.
The upper chamber there.
Furnished and prepared for them.
And in the evening, he cometh with his twelve.
So in the evening, all the apostles of Jesus gathered there.
And as they sat and they did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, one of you which eateth with me shall betray me.
So my New Year's Eve with the apostles and all that.
Yeah, one of you guys is going to betray.
He knows it's Judas Iscariot.
And if he would have said Judas Iscariot, I'm sure the other eleven would have done something.
Now here's the reason why Jesus didn't just come out and say who it was.
Because here's the thing.
If he would have said Judas is going to betray me, I'm sure Peter would have smite him with a sword or something like that, you know what I mean?
The apostles would have ganged up on him and did God knows what to him, right?
And therefore he would have never been able to go back and tell the priests, scribes all the information, right?
And it would have kind of prolonged or prevented the crucifixion.
So even though he was betraying Jesus, this had to be done.
For a specific time, you know what I mean?
And so anyway, and they began to be sorrowful and they said it to him one by one, is it I?
And another said, is it I?
So they're all going to try and say, is it me?
And he answered and said to them, It is one of the twelve that dippeth with me into the dish.
And a son of man indeed goeth and is written of him.
But woe to the man by whom the son of man is betrayed!
It would be good if that man had never been born.
That's some serious stuff, man!
To say it would be better if you were never born.
Talking about Judas Iscariot, again, he's not calling his name out for a reason.
So, it would have been, that's some, wow!
That's some heavy stuff right there if you really think about it.
It'd be better for him if he wasn't even born.
So, um... Yeah, we kind of all know where Judas Iscariot is right now.
Not judging the man, but yeah.
This right here tells you exactly where he is.
In hell, you know what I mean?
Plain and simple.
So that's some heavy stuff guys.
Verse 22, And as they did eat, Jesus took the bread, and blessed it, and break it, and gave it to them, and said, Take, eat, this is my body.
So this is like the communion we do.
This is my body, the bread, and the wine is his blood, right?
And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank of it.
And he said unto them, This is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many.
So it's symbolizing that this wine that they're doing this communion is his blood.
And you're accepting him, accepting his blood in the New Testament.
You know what I mean?
And believing in him as a Messiah.
But he says, Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of this fruit of the wine, talk about the wine, right?
Until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
So after he passes from this earth and back into the spirit again, and goes into the kingdom.
And when he had sung a hymn, Now here we go again, right?
I got to keep pointing this out, and I'm going to keep doing it.
So sorry if I saw some redundant during these series of videos, guys.
How many times have we seen so far?
We've only been through two books, Matthew and Mark, right?
How many times did he say four were written?
What is he talking about?
The Old Testament, the Torah.
So I have to point this out once again because it's ridiculous I have to keep doing this but because of modern day dispensationalism, the modern day prosperity gospels and all this stuff, the garbage that the modern day churches do guys, they tell you, blasphemy tell you, oh the Old Testament doesn't matter, just read Matthew through Revelation and you're all good.
No.
You need to read Genesis through Revelation.
Any pastor that tells you not to worry about the Old Testament, you need to tell him to go back to Bible school.
Actually, no, don't even tell him that, because the Bible School is the one to teach him this garbage.
You need to tell him to go read the Scriptures for himself.
Because that's a religious dogma that will tell you that the Old Testament doesn't matter.
Here's the thing, and the way I point it out, and I think most of you already figured it out by now, because you hear me a thousand times say this, but, when he says for it is written, right, you would never know, never, never, never know, or even understand what he's talking about, if you never read the Old Testament.
So you cannot begin to understand the New Testament unless you know the Old.
That's just common sense, Bible 101.
So any ministry or church out there, a pastor, whoever, that tells you, don't worry about the Old Testament, you need to rebuke him, and you need to put him in his place.
Plain and simple.
And that goes out to anybody out there who calls themselves an apostle, epistle, whatever you want to call yourselves.
This is pure blasphemy if you do that.
To say that you do not need to know the Old Scripture.
Yes, you do.
The Old Testament goes along with the New Testament.
You can't know the New Testament unless you know all that you know of.
You need to know both.
Because you will never understand what Jesus says for it as it's written.
He already says that a million times.
Brings up old, recites Old Testament stuff.
So once again he says, Jesus said unto them, All you shall be offended because of me this night.
For it is written, I will smite the shepherd and the sheep shall be scattered.
Talking about he's the shepherd, right?
And his sheep, they're gonna be scattered.
They're all together now because Jesus is there, the shepherd.
But once the shepherd's out of the way, the sheep go astray.
They go different ways, some go astray, some turn away.
All that stuff, right?
This is what he said.
He goes, but after that I am risen, I will go before you in Galilee.
So he's saying right here, we're going to show you afterwards, in the coming chapters, what he's talking about.
He proves this.
After his crucifixion, he's saying, I'm going to rise again.
And I will show you in Galilee.
As you read through Matthew with us, right?
We showed you that.
After he rose three days and three nights later.
He was in despair and he went to Galilee to show everybody, hey, I'm back.
I have conquered death.
Right?
But this is before the end.
He's telling people, I'm going to rise again.
I'm going to be crucified.
I'm going to rise again and I'll go before you in Galilee.
But Peter said unto him, although all shall be offended, will not I And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, that this day, even this night, before the cock crows twice, thy shall deny me thrice, which is three times.
So, he's telling Peter, Peter, right?
Because Peter says, although I shall be offended, I will not.
Yeah, well not I. So, Jesus told him right off, so listen.
Before the day's end, when the cock, which is the rooster, crows twice, when you hear him crow twice, you've already denied me three times.
But he spake more vehemently, if I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any way.
Likewise, also said they all.
So, Peter's like, no, I'm not gonna deny him.
I'll die first, you know what I mean?
And everybody else said the same thing, right?
So, and they came to a place which was in Gethsemane.
And he said unto his disciples, sit here while I shall go pray.
So he take with him Peter and James and John.
And it began to be a sore maze and very heavy.
So they went to this place called Gethsemane, right?
He tells the other nine disciples, right?
Just sit here, I'm gonna go pray.
But Peter, James, and John, I'm sorry, Peter, James, and John, please come with me.
And they walked away, you know, a little farther away, and Jesus went to pray.
And he said unto them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful unto death.
Tarry ye here and watch.
So he says, wait here and watch.
So, and he went a little bit further and fell to the ground and prayed that if it were possible the hour might pass from him.
So this is Jesus welcoming, you know, to say, listen, Father, just get this done and over with, you know.
And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee.
And if you ever notice, guys, listen.
Jesus is called the Father of many, many things, right?
Abba, Father, Creator, and all that stuff, right?
So any sacred name is, and I'm not going to go down this road, but actually I am, all right?
Because there's kind of people out there who call it sacred names.
They think if you don't call him Yeshua, Jesus, or Yahweh, God, right?
He's not going to hear you.
Which is totally false.
Yeshua, yes, is his Hebrew name.
However, if you call him Jesus, he knows who you're talking about.
This is the Creator we're talking about, right?
And the Son of God.
You know, they're not dumb.
And he calls them Abba here and Father, you know what I'm saying?
And he said, Abba Father, all things are possible unto Thee.
Take away the cup from me, and nevertheless not what I will, but what Thy wilt.
So you basically take, you know, it's time, you know what I mean?
I'm here to fulfill my mission of Your will, not mine, Your will.
And he comes and finds them sleeping and sends them to Peter.
So he comes back and finds Peter and Simon sleeping.
And he asks them, could you guys not watch for one hour?
And watching him pray, at least enter in temptation.
So spiritually, truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
So he's saying, your spirit's ready, yes.
Your spirit's ready, but your flesh is weak.
And again, he went away and prayed and spake the same words.
So remember there's three people there.
So even though Peter and Simon slept John this is why he has a record of this.
John took record of this.
That's how they know what happened.
Because people say well if Peter and Simon are sleeping how do they know what happened?
Well, there's three of them there.
Let me go back here and just show you.
Yes, it says right here, Peter, James, and John, so remember that.
So anyway, and he went back, and again, I'm sorry, he went away and prayed and spake the same words.
And when he returned, he found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy, neither wist what they were answered to.
So they were very tired.
So, and he cometh to the third time and said unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest, it is enough.
The hours come, behold, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of the sinners.
And he says, rise up, let us go.
Lo, he hath betrayed me at the end.
So, he's saying, rise up guys, let's go, because he's not saying who it is, which we know is Judas Iscariot.
Judas Iscariot has betrayed me right now.
Right at the end.
So, basically, at this time of speaking, Judas Iscariot is already at the chief priests and telling them where Jesus is.
So immediately, while he gave spake, when he was speaking, cometh Judas, there's Judas here, right?
One of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
So here comes Jesus, I guess, he's coming to betray me.
He's at hand, right?
And right away, here comes Judas with the, looks like their, you know, elders, well, the servants, I guess, with their weapons to come to get Jesus, right?
And he that betrayed him had given him a token, saying, Whomever shall I kiss, the same as he, take him and lead him away safely.
And as soon as he was to come, he goes away straight to him and said, Master, Master, and he kissed him.
And he laid their hands on him and took him.
So Judas Iscariot came and goes right to Jesus, and he said, Master, Master, and he kissed him.
So, and one of them that stood by him drew a sword, which was Peter, right?
Peter drew his sword and smote the servant of the high priest and cut off his head.
And Jesus answered him to them saying, Are you come out as against the thief with the swords and with the staves to take me?
And I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and you took me not, but yet the scriptures must be fulfilled.
And, you know, he's just simply saying, I was there in the temple teaching, and you never took me.
But the scriptures must be fulfilled.
So, basically he's playing out a joke because remember?
The chief priest never wanted to take them in the view of the multitudes because they knew they would cause a riot.
So if the multitudes seen them going after Jesus, oh man!
Yeah, the elders and the chief priest would have been probably dead.
Because the amount of people that loved and followed Jesus, they would have overtaken the chief priest.
So Jesus said, yeah, when I was with you guys daily in the temple teaching, and you guys never took me.
But he says also, you know, the scriptures must be fulfilled, and they all forsook him and fled.
And there followed him a certain young man having a linen cloth cast about his naked body, and the young man laid hold on him.
And he left the linen cloth and fled from the naked.
And led Jesus away to the high priest and with him, which basically they arrested Jesus, and with him were assembled were all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.
So now they brought, you know, Jesus up to the high priests and elders and scribes, right?
And Peter followed them far off, even on to the palace of the high priest, and he sat with the servants and warmed himself at the fire.
So he's sitting there just observing, just trying to lay low, you know, be inconspicuous, just lay low, just to watch what's going on from far off, right?
And Jesus' priests, you know, remember, check this out, right?
Remember what Jesus said was gonna happen to Peter?
Before the day's over, before the cock crows twice, he's gonna deny him three times, right?
Now check that out, right?
So now Peter's at the temple.
With the, you know, watch the stuff going on, right?
And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death and found none.
So they're looking for everybody.
Anybody but anybody.
Hey, you got anything against Hughes?
Please tell us, right?
Of course, they didn't find nobody.
Any valid information for... Many barefoot witnessed against him, but their witnesses agreed not together.
So, basically people were lying, but then the stories ended up.
And the witnesses that said, you know, basically they didn't agree with each other.
So it made them look dumb.
In other words, if somebody...
You know, two people accuse you of murder, right?
And one person said, oh, he came over here in a black car and ran the guy over.
And the other guy says, oh, he came over here in a motorcycle, got off the motorcycle and shot him.
You know, two different stories, right?
So everybody had the same, you know, these people lying against Jesus, but none of them had the right story, you know what I mean?
So it was just a bunch of garbage, you know what I mean?
And there arose a certain and bare false witness against him saying, We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that it is made with his hands.
And within three days, I will build another without hands.
So remember when Jesus brought them up, the last chapter.
Brought them onto Mount Oralos to tell them what would be the signs of his coming, right?
He said that one stone would be left unturned from the temple.
That was one of the first prophecies laid out, right?
So they heard it.
The people heard him say that.
So basically this guy's saying, hey, oh, he threatened to destroy the temple.
Which is big, you know what I mean, at this time, you know?
But neither so did their witnesses.
They agreed together.
So nobody had the story straight.
That's basically what was going on.
You know what I mean?
They're throwing accusations at him.
Nobody can get a story straight.
So now the chief priest is like, oh, man, right.
What are we going to do now?
So and the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, saying, this is what really got him here.
Answer it, though nothing, but which is these witnesses against thee?
So why ain't you answering?
How come you're not defending yourself?
But he held his peace, basically, and he said nothing.
Jesus didn't answer nothing.
At all.
And again, the high priest asked him, and he said unto him, Art thou rather Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
This is what gets Jesus incriminated, right?
Which Jesus is telling the truth, but he gets incriminated, right?
So all the lies, they shut down.
Yeah, because nobody had a straight story or could agree with each other, right?
So all the accusations just failed, failed, failed, failed, failed, right?
So now the chief priest is like, oh wow, what do we do now?
So one of them decides to say, hey, let's ask Jesus.
Because Jesus is just keeping quiet.
He's not saying nothing.
He's pleading the fifth, if you know what I mean.
So one of them asks him to say, listen, Are you the Christ, which is the Messiah?
I thought you were the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed, you know, the Son of God.
And Jesus said, the first time he spoke, he says, I am.
And you shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, coming in the clouds of heaven.
So listen, he's telling him right now, yes, I am the Christ, I am the Messiah.
And you will see me sitting on the right hand of God, of power, and I will be coming to the clouds of heaven.
That is to them, the priests, that this is pure blasphemy now.
Because they refuse to believe that Jesus is the Messiah.
The very Messiah that Moses himself told them thousands of years ago.
And told them all the other prophets to come to the Messiah.
The lions and everybody else, right?
But they refuse to believe that Jesus is the Messiah.
So when Jesus said, when they asked him, yeah, are you the Christ, the Son of God?
He goes, yes I am.
And you are going to see me, sitting at the right hand of God.
And you will see me come to the clouds of heaven.
Then when the high priest rent his clothes and said, won't we need any more further witnesses?
So they said, this is blasphemy right here.
Do we need any more further witnesses now?
Basically, case dismissed.
You know what I mean?
And they said, you have heard that blasphemy.
What do you think they... What do you think he said?
He's asking, what do you all think?
You all heard him just commit blasphemy.
And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.
So that's all the elders, the scribes, the priests and all that.
Like, yelling out blasphemy.
We need to condemn him.
Because he just committed major blasphemy.
Which, to them, was blasphemy, but in reality, it's the truth.
He is the Son of God.
He is sitting at the right hand of God.
The right hand of power.
And He will come through the clouds for them.
And some began to spit on Him, and to cover His face, and to buffet Him, and saying to Him, prophecy.
And the servants did strike Him with the palms of their hands.
So they started beating up Jesus, spitting on Him, which is, you know, yeah, that's...
Yeah, these people don't know what they do.
I'll tell you that.
What they did do, I should say.
All kinds of disgusting things.
Spitting at them, punching them, and everything else.
And as Peter was beneath the palace, there came one of the maids of the high priest.
And when she saw Peter warming himself by the fire, by the fire warming himself, she looked upon him and said, and Dome also was with Jesus of Nazareth.
So she looked at him and recognized him as one of the apostles.
And she goes, aren't you with Jesus?
So Peter denied it, but, and he's saying, I know not, neither understand, nor what thou sayest.
And he went into the porch and the cock crowed.
Which is the rooster, you heard the rooster, ahhhh!
And um, and he made, the maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, this is one of them.
So basically the maid, you heard a bunch of people say, he's one of them.
You're referring to one of the apostles.
And he denied it again, and a little after, they stood by and said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them.
For thou art Galilean, and thy speech agreest thereto.
So they spotted him, you know, he denied them twice now, so the third time he's denying.
I'm sorry, he denied them to Jesus before he's now, so the third time he's denying Jesus again.
Because it's like, we're sure you're one of them.
We're positive that you're one of them.
You're one of the possible.
And this time, Bahaibingai to curse and to swear, saying, I know this man now of whom you speak.
So, you know, right away, I don't know this guy.
That's what he's saying.
And the second time the cock crowed.
So this is like really ringing a bell in Peter's head.
And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said to him.
That before the cock crowed twice, those shall deny me thrice.
And you just have seen that, that the cock crowed twice and he's denied Jesus three times.
So this was like, as soon as that cock crowed again, he was like, oh, oh wow.
I can't believe I just did this.
I denied Jesus three times.
And when he thought they're in, he wept.
So basically when he came to realization though, wow, Jesus is right.
He said, I will deny him three times before the cock crowed twice and it just happened.
So he just wept.
He still right away started breaking down in tears.
So, yeah, and we're going to learn more in the next chapter here, which is coming to his crucifixion, and when he rises from the grave.
So this is a nice chapter here, a lot of context involved here.
So I hope I explained this well, guys.
And if I didn't, please ask me any questions in the comments section.
It's very important.
Don't be afraid to ask me.
And if I miss something you think, please put it in the comments section.
Got any questions, anything like that, comments, or whatever the case, please put it in the comments section.
